Ho Lee Fuk: Think Media Does A Good Job Checking Facts, Having Common Sense? Watch This

The San Francisco Bay Area’s KTVU  reported today that the pilots of the crashed Asiana flight 214 were named “Sum Ting Wong,” “Wi Tu Lo,” “Ho Lee Fuk,” and “Bang Ding Ow.”

The station later apologized and blamed the mistake on faulty information from the NTSB.

However, NTSB’s policy is to never give out pilot names in situations like the Asiana crash, contradicting KTVU’s claims.

“I don’t know who [KTVU] got that from, but we do not release names,” an official told Gawker.

Once again the lame stream media shows how lazy and stupid their reporters are! By just taking the information they are being spoon fed and running with it, rather than take two seconds to do a fact check, or even pay attention to what they’re saying, it’s much easier to run with it and apologize later. is it any wonder the majority of Americans think the lame stream media is untrustworthy and a big joke?

Reminds me of Barry giving a speech and was reading about his anniversary on the TOTUS and not understanding he was spewing BS about his own life.

  • Rocketman

My guess that this came from a member of the television news crew because they got fed up with the stupidity of the television anchors and wanted to show the rest of the world just how stupid they were. Well done guys!

Just because the Chines made a visual error ,,, no reason to call them phony names… Just tell Asiana to make sure to have a “white supremacist” middle age, blue eyed American trained Pilot at the “Controls ” on all flights landing in America … We could settle for a brown eye,,, but,,, still a “White Supremacist”… Don’t believe Me ??? Just check historical records……………………

    • Eagle525

Charlie: Asiana is a Korean Company as are the pilots.
Korea and Asiana airlines have the worst training and training standards for pilots … a while back the FAA had to threaten Asiana to improve of risk being banned ,from the sky’s world wide …. Bottom line, the pilots and the company do lot like being forced to comply to standards and continually harass and or fire qualified instructors Asiana hired to retrain pilots. So, Charlie your white supremacist diatribe has no basis in fact and and you have inadvertently exposed yourself as a bigot.

      • Charlie

Thank you ,,,but ,,, you failed to note that in addition to being a bigot, I am a Neo-Nazi shinhead… Now tell the world if the German Pilots were as skilled as the American’s ??? in WW2?
And,,, did Germans tell how to make the A bomb??…………

I think the PC flak is gonna fly on this one but it certainly is funny…those Pilots are not subject to US law even though they are responsible for wrecking the aircraft…….and no, I do not know their names..Dim Sum sez, it don’t add up..

So, when are they or anyone subject to US law? Perhaps, BEFORE they enter US air space?

  • Alan

Lol…..what are the chances? Sounds like bad Karma to me. As I listened to this anchor reading off those names I kept waiting for a long pause, followed soon afterward by a “you’ve got to be kidding me!” moment…..lol! I mean seriously, how couldn’t you catch on?

I was in college in the 60’s and took a few low level classes on journalism. The first thing we were taught was to check all sources and information. The college paper would not print an article, unless all information was true, without a shadow of a doubt. Today facts are not that important, just enough to help the reporter express his opinion. Ask Dan Rather if facts are important. Newsmen are caught almost every day bending the facts to fit the story.

  • Erich

Most reporters today are like Obama, “just read what’s in front of you, we’ll tell you what to say”. No wonder our country is the laughing stock of the world.

    In bad taste, but funny.

It reminds me of when we were in school. The books that were never written.
