  • One single person has successfully enrolled in Obamacare in North Carolina. And that person has already been the target of an attempt by scammers to steal personal information provided to the insurance exchange. “A person was making phone calls claiming to be with the ‘National Health Care Registry,’ and falsely claim it was taking over healthcare reform contracts from the Blue Cross,” reports CBS Charlotte…

 

  • Sheesh, spy on a few dozen million Germans and they really get angry. A new poll by German public television (ARD) indicates that only 35 percent of Germans still see the United States as a good partner. That figure has fallen 14 points since just this past July when about half of all Germans saw America as a partner they could trust. Source: McClatchy…

 

  • The UC Berkeley student government has banned the term “illegal immigrant” from its discourse, deeming the phrase racist, offensive, unfair and derogatory. In an unanimous vote, student senators passed a resolution that stated the word “illegal” is “racially charged,” “dehumanizes” people, and contributes to “punitive and discriminatory actions aimed primarily at immigrants and communities of color.” Source: The College Fix…
