Healthful Snacking

September 18, 2012 by

Are you dying for something to munch on mid-morning or mid-afternoon, but think those pre-packaged processed snack bags are the only way to keep your calorie intake under 100?

Think again. Here are some much healthier options:

  • ½ cup applesauce
  • ½ whole grain bagel
  • one medium banana
  • 10 cashew nuts
  • 10 almonds
  • one apple
  • 1 cup of red or green grapes
  • 2 cups of honeydew melon
  • 1 ounce of raisins or two small pears.

These choices will not only taste great, they will help trim your waste and give you added energy to complete your day.

Once you read Wheat Belly by Dr. William Davis, you’ll realize all those telling you to eat wheat based products are part of the problem of the obesity epidemic in this world. Wheat now eaten is NOT the wheat of even 50 years ago. Wheat raises ones blood sugar higher than even table sugar. This causes more insulin to be released and the excess causes fat to be stored…Don’t believe it? Just start looking at all the people who have too much fat on their body…WHEAT is almost a poison to our system. It’s all being promoted by those who are just working our taste buds/gullibility for profits…READ THAT BOOK! I’m NOT condemning corporations here.
