H.R. 613

April 10, 2012 by

H.R. 613
SCREENSHOT
Representative Bobby Rush, a member of the Congressional Black Caucus, wore a hoodie while delivering a speech about Trayvon Martin to the House of Representatives. Martin was wearing a hoodie when he died.

I have never been much for writing indignant notes to my — or any — Congressman. Having spent the bulk of my professional career in and around the political class, I am well aware that most of them on both sides of the aisle can at least pretend to have concern for people, but few of them care about individuals.

Politicians consider any one-on-one discussion with an individual voter a hassle. Most of them lose interest faster than a copy editor proofreading an in-depth piece about House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s latest facelift the moment they recognize that whoever is hassling them is unlikely to produce either a check with more zeroes than a Netroots convention or a pantload of votes from some disaffected group of grasping oxygen thieves.

Therefore, I have decided against dashing off some outraged missive to the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) — specifically Representative Emanuel Cleaver (D-Al Sharpton’s back pocket); Representative Corrine Brown (D-Sharpton’s other back pocket); Representative Alcee Hastings (D-Federal Judiciary Impeachment Proceedings); and Representative Frederica Wilson (D–Hanna’s House of Hideous Hats) — in the wake of their disgraceful and exceptionally stupid introduction of H.R. 612:

Honoring the life of 17-year-old, Trayvon Martin, urging the State of Florida and others to repeal the Stand Your Ground law, and admonishing involved parties to pursue full investigations into all homicides, regardless of defenses asserted by the offender.

If the “good” Congressmen don’t have time for you, then the clowns of the CBC would probably charge you for their time.

In the text of H.R. 612, the “Florida Four” declared, among other effrontery: “[George] Zimmerman’s… racial bias led to the use of deadly force.” Logic dictates that the Congressmen ought to be familiar with the concept of “facts not in evidence,” even if they do avoid reason the way I avoid process servers. Granted, Hastings is excused from knowledge of any legal concepts beyond “soliciting bribes is bad form.”

Tragic though it is, I understand that their constituents are silly enough not only to vote for them, but to support them in their appalling efforts to tar and feather Zimmerman without the benefit of the doubt, a trial or even a CliffsNotes understanding of the facts surrounding his case (which, as NBC News will tell you, increasingly favor Zimmerman’s version of events). Nonetheless, given the fact that the Congressmen are as likely to read any messages I might send their way as Michael Moore is to peruse the Fit Fare® section of the Denny’s menu, I decided against a pointless email and instead headed in a different direction.

To wit:

H.R. 613

Deploring the shameless lack of decency displayed by the Congressional Black Caucus in trying to exploit the George Zimmerman/Trayvon Martin incident in Florida, urging America to turn its back on these vermin as they use tragedy to further their pursuit of the trappings of power and deliberately obfuscate the truth in their effort to do so, and rebuking them for the legislative abomination which is H.R. 612.

Whereas:

Representatives Emanuel Cleaver, Alcee Hastings, Frederica Wilson, Corinne Brown, the Congressional Black Caucus and their accomplices Al Sharpton, NBC News, Jesse Jackson, the New Black Panther Party, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and the National Action Network are race-pimping filth who debase not only the national discourse but the legislative process with grotesqueries such as H.R. 612.

Whereas:

Cleaver, et al. are slightly less worthwhile than the stuff most people fish out of their shower drains.

Now, be it therefore resolved:

Cleaver, et al. should — with all due haste — get stuffed.

I would gladly vote for the Congressman who introduces H.R. 613 on the floor. Too bad I’m not a CBC constituent; if I were, I could vote for said Congressman twice.

People vote for them to protect themselves from people like you. My proof, your statement of “slightly less worthwhile than the stuff most people fish out of their shower drains”. Your argument is empty and a pitiful attack.

    • Robert Smith

I haven’t figured out why allowing a nut case (fired from his job, frequent flyer with the police), and a history of arrest (assaulting police), to kill a kid is a “consrvative” cause.

That is unless the “conservatives” have declared open season on kids with skittles and iced tea.

      Rob

      • Robert Smith

Let’s watch: Rather than deal with the issue of conservatives being defined as a bunch of kid killers let’s watch them attack “Rob.”

        Rob

      • castaway

WHat the hell you smokin? Black kids are killing black kids! They start as early as five years old. Trayvon Martin was a punk gangbanger from the get go, and he is dead because of it. I guess we need to have a race war with more punk blacks. With guns and bullets for course. When its all over instead of a black population of 12% the U.S. will have a black population of 1.2 % if you are lucky. Lets get er done. After which we will descend on the White House.

      • Patriot1776

The only conservative cause in this entire tragedy is allowing the American justice system to function. It is the assigned duty of the law enforcement and district attorneys to investigate this incident and decide first of all if there is any evidence of any laws being broken, then who broke the law, then the judicial system will take the evidence and decide with a jury the guilt or innocence of the suspect. That is how the American justice system is designed. What has been done in this instance is the liberal race profiteers have swept in and using hype and emotion and the main stream media and have tried and convicted Zimmerman based soley on assumptions.

I don’t know what happend on that tragic night. I don’t know either of the victims, Trayvon who lost his life, or Zimmerman who has been prosecuted and convicted by the mob, not through a fair trial process. I do know that I expect all Americans to support our Constitution and let the justice system work. I expect better from America.

      • http://naver samurai

Well said Patriot 1776. I feel the same way you do, but you have to ignore Rob as he knows not what he is talking about. FOR GOD AND COUNTRY!

      • eddie47d

Patriot 1776 is correct but Samurai knows exactly what Rob is talking about. The Trayvon incident was covered up and hidden under the carpet and now it is out in the open. There will be no Grand Jury Investigation (determined yesterday) so we now have to wait and see what comes next.

      • Opal the Gem

Agreed samurai. I think this little verse I saw somewhere says it rather well.

“Pay no attention to Robbie he’s drunk all the time, drunk on liberal wine, bunches of it and it’s ruined his mind.”

      • vicki

        Robert Smith says:

Let’s watch: Rather than deal with the issue of conservatives being defined as a bunch of kid killers let’s watch them attack “Rob.”

Just out of curiosity why do you believe that conseratives will be defined as a bunch of kid killers when liberals are the ones that are defined as supporting the killing of millions of kids. A significantly large number of the kids who were killed appear to have built in suntans like Mr Martin. Where is the angst?

        https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abortion_in_the_United_States#Abortions_and_ethnicity

      • Robert Smith

From Patriot: “Zimmerman who has been prosecuted and convicted by the mob, not through a fair trial process.”

Do you object to Zimmerman going to trial?

        Rob

      • Robert Smith

Let’s watch Vicki get all wound up in abortion: “Just out of curiosity why do you believe that conseratives will be defined as a bunch of kid killers…”

I should have said “BORN” kids.

Not everyone sees the unborn as kids. Many see it as a process which ends in a kid coming out. At that point it is the difference between YOU being able to take care of it and based on your religious beliefs you enslave another woman to incubate it for you.

        Rob

      • Patriot1776

        Rob,

I have no problem with Zimmerman going to trial and whatever the outcome, so be it. My problem is with fear mongering and hate being generated to prevent the possibility of Zimmerman getting a fair trial.

As for you diferentiating between “born” kids and “unborn” kids, a life is a life. The argument that the unborn aren’t people because they aren’t self supporting begs the question “do senior citizens or accident victims quit being people when they are placed on life support? Defining the beginning point on life based soley on convenience and not on facts causes a shallow life.

      • http://folkartist.wordpress.com Libertytrain

Oddly, when a pregant woman is killed it is considered a double homicide – i.e. Laci Peterson as an example.

      • Gary L

        Robert
For the moment in America, a citizen still has to be charged by the courts with a crime before being put on trial. The travesty here is that none of this would be going on if the race of either of the two involved was mentioned. It is about race. Period.

      • TotallyConservative

What a crock, sir! Read the facts of this case instead of listening to the liberal media. That “kid” as you call him was confrontational to a neighborhood watchman, he was even quoted as saying, “You want trouble?” When Zimmerman answered, “No”. Martin was quoted saying, “Well, you’ve got it now”. I’m quite sure when all the investigations are finished and all the “hard” evidence is revealed to the public, it will show that Zimmerman was defending himself against an attacker!!! The 2nd amendment gives EVERY American that right!!!

      • Robert Smith

From Patriot: “. The argument that the unborn aren’t people because they aren’t self supporting begs the question “do senior citizens or accident victims quit being people when they are placed on life support?”

Nope. You really don’t get it, do you?

Before it is born one and only one woman can support it. By your view she is enslaved to that support.

An elder or injured person can be taken care of by society.

Besides, if you had someone come into your home and proclaim that they were going to take all their needs from you weather or not you allowed it you would do whatever is necessary to get them out.

Why would you insist that any woman take care of another FROM HER VERY FLESH? In America she has the freedom to deny YOUR wishes of enslavement just as it is unconstitutional for the government to place someone in your home against your will. .

        Rob

      • Robert Smith

Totaly says: “That “kid” as you call him was confrontational to a neighborhood watchman,”

That “watchman” had absolutely zero authority. He was in violation of Neighborhood Watch by being armed. He was told to back off by the police. The commentary you offer came from where????

The RECORDING that is available shows that Zimmerman is probibly a liar as it has been determined with science that he was not the one screaming.

Yes, real evidence in a trial. Do you object to him going to trial?

        Rob

      • vicki

Robert Smith demonstrates proof by bald assertion by writing:

That “watchman” had absolutely zero authority. He was in violation of Neighborhood Watch by being armed.

        Evidence sir. Evidence.

      • vicki

Robert Smith shows great compassion for some people by writing:

In America she has the freedom to deny YOUR wishes of enslavement

She also has the right to keep her legs closed.

Now tell me about the child’s right to life, liberty and (as liberals would misquote) happiness?

(The correct quote is PERSUIT OF happiness)

    • Sirian

Oh yes, they protect them quite well don’t they? Your bold statement is so limited, just as your proof – where is it? Uh huh, typical proof provided. What a joke!. . . :(

    • RH

Ben makes sense to me. He is saying that Slimey Al Sharpton and such as the Black Pungents are the true racists in this affair. “Castaway” is pretty low, but Al & Co. are lower.

      • eddie47d

HR 613 is a transportation issue and Ben is mocking the judicial system. He is baiting you all and he has you on his line.

      • Cliffystones

While “Castaway” is as simplistically ignorant as Farrakhan, he accidentially makes a point.

Like I once told a couple of Iraqi girls who were raised in Britian, Muslims had better clean up their own house or we will do it for them. And we’re not as likely to pay attention to detail. The same goes for “Black activists”.

      • The TRUTH sometimes hurts

You hit thenail on the head.
I believe based on his actions that obama is TRYING to MANUFACTURE a RACE WAR so he can declare Martial Law and cancel the November elections. The RINOs in congress must like the idea because they are doing nothing to stop him.
Since obama’s birth certificate is clearly fraudulent, the only reason the RINOs have not impeached him must be because they like the idea of no more elections!!!

      • vicki

The RINOs in congress must like the idea because they are doing nothing to stop him

Of course they like the idea. As you pointed out, no more elections means THEY get to stay in power without having to worry too.

      • Robert Smith

Truth alleges: “I believe based on his actions that obama is TRYING to MANUFACTURE a RACE WAR ”

Sadly you are correct, but it isn’t Obama. Check it out at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southern_strategy

From that article: “Southern strategy refers to the Republican Party strategy of winning elections in Southern states by exploiting anti-African American racism and fears of lawlessness among Southern white voters and appealing to fears of growing federal power in social and economic matters (generally lumped under the concept of states’ rights).”

Books have been written about it. Check out Lee Atwater’s.

        Rob

  • castaway

All black people need to be sent packing. I do not want them in my country, and I am sick or their ranting and raving about everything from no jobs, to racism. They ain’t one of them worth a damn. Ship them all back to mother Africa where they can show their stuff.

    • nc

Castaway, how surprised I am not to see such a post as yours on this “conservative” site!I feel you are not alone here! Ask those white American bomber pilots from World War II who were escorted to safey by those Black fighter pilots if they know any blacks who are worth a damn.

      • Patriot1776

It is truly sad to see someone under the banner of conservative spewing racial hatred just like the liberals Sharpton, Jacksoon, and obama. Americans of all races and colors have died to give us the freedoms that we have (or at least used to have). No one should be judged by the color of their skin, whether they are black, hispanic, asian or even white.

      • http://personalliberty.com Jake

Castaway serves a purpose by spewing his hate. The left can point to this site as a hate site without telling anyone that he is one of them

Jake guessed correctly. the title of the position is agent provocateur

Batki says: “Since you are posting on this site, you must be a “Conservative”.”

Yup. Barry Goldwater CONSERVATIVE. Do you remember him?

He was pro-choice, wasn’t worried about gays in the military (he was in the Reserves himself) and he truly cared about those less fortunate than the 1%.

    • Doc Sarvis

That is a horrible statement! Blacks are just as much an important and proud part of this country as whites are. They have fought and died for our freedoms, they work hard to make a better life for themselves and their children not to mention to make this a better country. Blacks, just as whites and other ethnic groups, are part of our proud history.

      • flajim

As usual, Doc didn’t read the whole article and/or didn’t understand it and his comment is immaterial.

      • vicki

@flajim Doc was talking about castaways comments.

      • afdbghq

There is two ways to look at people in America. First you can identify yourself as a Black-American, a Hispanic-American, an Asian-American, a Caucasian-American, or any other -American. Or you can identify yourself as an African-American, Mexican-American, Korean-American, German-American, Irish-American, or any other such.

The difference is that when you identify yourself as the first you identify yourself first as an American who supports America and her ideas and then as having an ancestry from the other culture. When you identify yourself as the second you are perceived as identifying yourself first as belonging first to the country (culture) you put before American and then as living in America and not truly supporting America and what she stands for.

The difference in how someone identifies themselves is slight but the ramifications are great. The difference is how others perceive you. I have many friends who are Black-American, Hispanic-American, Asian-American, Caucasian-American, and many other –American. As a whole I do not dislike the other group but I have grave reservations as to who and where their loyalties lay.

      • ToeTagTunny

Fact is (and always has been) crime is color blind. That it was a Black, a White or (place favorite ethnic color here) is inconsequential, it’s the crime that’s abhorring.

        • John Wilch (TSgt, USAF Ret.)

You are 1000% correct, crime is color-blind! However, there are people out there that don’t think that way. They think that they can not get justice, so they will resort to violence. JUSTICE IS BLIND!, but they are to stupid or unwilling to wait for it to run its course.

      • Robert Smith

Posted: “Fact is (and always has been) crime is color blind. ”

But punishment is heavily weighted against Blacks and Hispanics.

Proportionally there are way more in jail than whites.

        Rob

    • Jonathan Baker

YOUR country??? Are you a native indian? Native indians can claim this land as their country. You are a decendent of immigrants who lived elsewhere before coming to this country, as are black people. We are ALL citizens of these United States – equally. So, watch your racism, buddy, you loser.

      • Cliffystones

Just in case you didn’t know, “native indians” as you call them, are immigrants as well. There ancestors may have came here before yours or mine though.

        Now, this next part is not directed at you, Jonathan;

It doesn’t matter to me the color of your skin or where you came from. What is important is that you understand the principals of the Founding Fathers and agree with and truly embrace them. If not, there are plenty of other countries on this planet that may have governments and ideals that are more to your liking. So a note to all of you who have a problem with our Constitution, our history, the Bill of Rights, our flag and our ideals. STOP trying to re-invent this country into some kind of politically correct sociialist utopia and leave thoswe of us who love our liberty alone!

      • eddie47d

Hopefully that means that Cliffystones totally embraces “Liberty and Justice for All” and ” Life Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness ” for all. That is all that needs to be said.

      • Doc Sarvis

        Cliffystones,
So you agree with slavery and with women not having a vote in our country? That is how the Founding Fathers had it.

      • Buster the Anatolian

        ‘Cliffystones,
So you agree with slavery and with women not having a vote in our country? That is how the Founding Fathers had it.”

Once again Doc shows his ignorance. The slaves were guarenteed their freedom and the women were assured the right to vote by the only legal process of changing the constitution that being amending it. It was not done by an activist judge who decided he did not like what the constitution said so he ruled otherwise it was changed by congress and the people through amendments.

      • Robert Smith

Cliffy says: “STOP trying to re-invent this country into some kind of politically correct sociialist utopia and leave thoswe of us who love our liberty alone!”

Yup! The liberty to choose help if our medical condition deteriorates to such a point where an individual might consider suicide.

Freedom in recreational drugs like pot.

Freedom for everyone to marry the person they love. Remember, it’s a GOVERNMENT contract to be able to marry, NOT a religious one. For those who want to be “married” in church see your religious professional.

Don’t invade the very body of a woman to shove an instrument inside her to look around at her innards when she wants an abortion.

Don’t presume any woman believes as those who say, “It’s a baby.”

Don’t paw all over me or others at an airport.

Don’t even think about taking my guns.

        Rob

      • Robert Smith

Oh! I forgot the greatest freedom of all for the born… LIFE itself.

I don’t understand how anyone can claim to be “pro-life” and then deny someone health insurance.

        Ain’t freedom in America GREAT!

        Rob

        • John Wilch (TSgt, USAF Ret.)

Smith, just who in the h… is denighing a person health insurance? We’re not thats for sure all we are saying is that we don’t want to have to pay for someones elses through higher premiums. So, Smith, what we are really saying is “Get up off your f– A–, find a job and pay for your own.” Nobody owes you a living, I’m getting d— tired of hearing all the BS about how you and others of your ilk have been treated.
          GET A JOB!

      • ToeTagTunny

Fact is, we’re ALL from planet earth.. What’s you’re problem people? Nit picking over what blade of grass you came from and where you should go back to is semantics.

      • Robert Smith

Cliffy says: “Just in case you didn’t know, “native indians” as you call them, are immigrants as well. There ancestors may have came here before yours or mine though.”

But there is no evidence that they displaced another culture when they came here. They weren’t preditors in the name of wealth and religion.

        Rob

    • ranger5

Castaway, you sir a flamming dumbass, I am not black but I would have no problem sending you back to where you came from. Are you for real?

    • The TRUTH sometimes hurts

      Castaway,
      That is racist.
It is better to say that everyone who misreads the Constitution as “Life Liberty and Happiness” should be tossed out.
It actually says “Life Liberty and the Pursuit of happiness”.
obama can redistribute my work ethic, but he can’t continue to steal my income. Soon, I will quit work and start taking as much of the gov’ts money as possible, before the Liar-in-Chief steals it all for himself.

      • Robert Smith

        Awwww TRUTH… Bye bye

“Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness” is a well-known phrase in the United States Declaration of Independence NOT our Constitution.

        Rob

    • Robert Smith

From castaway: “All black people need to be sent packing.”

I’ll bet the American Indians would say the same thing about white people.

      Rob

      • http://folkartist.wordpress.com Libertytrain

I don’t think they are saying that in Cherokee NC – the white guy is handing over mucho dinieros and making the Indians quite wealthy. What a place these days. Probably makes those that unfortunately passed during the Trail of Tears quite pleased that their brothers have done well by the white man.

    • MRC2YOU2

Castaway, your entire argurment is ignorant and demented I hate to get into most of these stupid comments about “race”, “racism”,etc. Anyone with a modicum of intelligence knows, or should know, that there is only one “race”…..THE HUMAN RACE All of that crap about Blacks “goimg back to Africa” is so outdated and stupid that it isn’t funny any more. Following your line of thinking in that regard, and presuming that you’re so-called “White” or a “White” wannabe, I strongly recommend that you review American history and YOU START PACKING. Go back to where-ever your ancestors came from. They definitely were’nt original inhabitiants of America!

As to the Martin/Zimmerman matter and all of the quotes from commenters that is impossible for them to know…they weren’t there. Neither were the news media or Jackson/Sharpton. There are only two people….Martin and Zimmerman…. who could possibly know what was actually said and/or done. Martin is DEAD! That fact guarantees that we will never really know what happened Further, the credibility of any so-called witness definitely should be SUSPECT.

Let’s analyze what little we know about the case and then ask ourselves a few simple questions:

      A. Why did Zimmerman initiate contact with Martin?

      B. What was said/done by both during Zimmer’s contact with Martin?

      C. What prompted Zimmerman to break that contact?

      D. Did Martin subsequently pursue Zimmerman? Why?

      E. Did Martin know that Zimmerman was packing?

      F. Could a “punk gangbanger kid” (as Martin has so frequently been referred
as by numerous commentaters) of Martin’s reported stature knock down a
a man of Zimmerman’s reported stature with a single punch?

      G. To which part of Zimmerman’s body did the punch land?

I could go on and on and on with questions that I could ask about the case and ask them to Zimmerman. However, my time and interest in the matter is exhausted, because as a 70-years old Black Man, I already know that what I think or say won’t matter a “tinkers-dam” about what ultimately happens to Zimmerman. And, the same probably applies to all of the brilliant commentaters like castaway.

      • John Wilch (TSgt, USAF Ret.)

Thank you for your service, Navy! I agree with you on what castaway needs to do, pack his bags and go back to wherever his ancestors came from. His kind invaded my peoples lands just because gold was found, then they had their way with our wives, poisined us with contaminated blankets.

I served most of my adult life in the military first Army and then the Air Guard were I finally hung up my spurs. While there I did my duty by defending our Constitution and all rights that castawaly professes to love. I don’t even think he served or he wouldn’t say some of the things he pukes up.

GOD BLESS THE US OF A and MAY SHE REIGN FOREVER!

      • Robert Smith

Presumed: “C. What prompted Zimmerman to break that contact?”

Did he break contact? We only have his word of what was going on. The other party is very very dead.

Zimmerman is already a pretty much proven liar as the science of the voice analysis demonstrates that it wasn’t him screaming as he claimed.

        Rob

It is VERY apparent that record numbers of Black people voted for the half-black half-white unvetted presidential candidate in 2008 that TPTB set up SOLELY because of his skin color and NOT for his character and integrity… which he has absolutely none… and they will stick with him because he is ‘half black’ even though he lacks character, a moral compass, and the desire to restore America’s Constitutional Republic to peace and prosperity.

Black unemployment is at its highest now under this usurper and huge numbers of blacks and majority Hispanics will still cast a vote for this bi-sexual leader who hates America..

      • The TRUTH sometimes hurts

obama is the first truely “Affirmative Action president”, elected solely because of the color of his sklin without regard for his glaring lack of qualifications.

  • nc

Ben, how long ago did you wrie this article? What about the two white guys accused of a drive-by shooting of several black people because one of the shooters daddy was killed by, quote, “a n*****” ! Would you also take issue with Black leaders responding to this incident?

    • Congress Works For Us

@nc – You are asking the wrong question.

You should be asking why the CBC HASN’T jumped all over that particular case….

      • nc

Congress, an arrest has been made in the drive-by cases! The CBC may leave it the white folks to live with what they have said for years! Racism is not dead in America!

    • Karolyn

Hey, those two guys are castaway’s “peeps.”

  • castaway

People vote for the jungle bunnies, because they have had so much sunshine blown up their butts of how the poor blacks have been treated poorly for years, and it is now time to be nice to them. We are in some kind of black is beautiful period perpetrated by the media.I am tire of looking at them in most ads, and commercials depicting them as upstanding citizens with a job, a house, and all the other goodies they cannot afford.

    • Karolyn

castaway – The biggest problem we have in the world is people like you. Thank God not all conservaives are like you; however, you are one that gives them a bad name. I live in the south; and in my county there is a large black population. There are good and there are bad both black and white. For the most part, the people I intereact with on a daily basis are righteous upstanding citizens. You cast a light on only the sick portion of an entire race. Yes, I said sick, because that’s what they are – mentally sick – and unhappy. We are all brothers and sistes – all one. I don’t recall your postings about God, but if you are a Christian, you need to take a long hard look at your beliefs. There really is only one race – the human race; and we all came from the same place.

      • Christin

Good reply to castaway, Karolyn, but don’t get all big-headed as you are not ‘right on’ very often.

      • http://folkartist.wordpress.com Libertytrain

castaway is a moron, however, he may be doing this just to create a bad name for conservatives —- not the first time.

      • MNIce

The Bible teaches that God “has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings” Acts 17:26. All are descended from Adam. Christ died for all, not just Jews or whites or other specific ethnic groups.

castaway is neither Christian nor conservative in his expressions of hatred for people of black African descent. Conservatives believe the value of the individual is in the individual, not his ancestry. Unless castaway repents of his hatred, he will find himself in Hell along with all of the other revilers.

    • John Wilch (TSgt, USAF Ret.)

castaway, you need to crawl back into the hole you came from.
You and your kind make me ashamed to be Caucasian. As Kathrine says there are good and there are bad in all races. I guess you can call me ‘Color-blind’ because I don’tjudge a person by their skin color I judge a person by their abilities. Can they do the job that they are hired for, if they can’t I look for someone that can.

    • John Wilch (TSgt, USAF Ret.)

Meant to say Karolyn sorry about that.

The Congress is falling into the same trap that most of the public is – “Trial by Media” and convicting Zimmerman from what they see on the ridiculously biased networks like CNN. Let the police do their jobs and let the chips fall where they may. No one in Congress was there to witness the events, nor were the hoards of people marching, waving signs, etc. Everyone is just itching to make this a racial issue, even though Zimmerman could claim racism because of his Hispanic blood. Shame, shame on all who wave “Arrest Zimmerman now” signs…

    • The TRUTH sometimes hurts

The FCC needs to tear up NBC’s broadcast license. They are guilty of trying to incite a riot by fraudulently misquoting the police transcript of the 911 call. Zimmermin did NOT introduce race into the conversation, the 911 dispatcher asked him the race of the perp. He just responded truthfully, by the way why didn’t they ask Zimmerman his race? Or his political party. Zimmermam is a Hispanic Democrat. Too bad the media hates the truth.

      • Nadzieja Batki

Keep the FCC out of the equation. Stay back and watch NBC self destruct.

      • Robert Smith

Posted: “They are guilty of trying to incite a riot by fraudulently misquoting the police transcript of the 911 call.”

Actually the unnamed producer responsible the evil deed has been fired.

No that couldn’t be it could it?

If the President commented on every such crime, he wouldn’t have time to sleep. It’s only logical that he would have something to say abut a topic that is so much in the forefront these days.

      • Ed

And just WHY is it in the forefront? Hummmmm!

      • http://folkartist.wordpress.com Libertytrain

He missed a valuable opportunity to actually reunite folks rather than continuously encouraging the separation of the races. He’s not a leader – not a Martin Luther King spouting words of unity – obama spouts words of DISunity – missing any all golden opportunities just by virtue of being president to set an example of the way people could live – he takes the low road. Classless individual. Why was he awarded that Nobel Prize —- not obvious in his handling of events in his own country.

      • eddie47d

Because the Sanford police dropped the ball in their investagation and tried to make it “a no big deal” case and were willing to let Zimmerman go. Police actions or cover ups are getting tiresome for more and more Americans and this incident rose to the forefront. Now it is out of hand when it should have been handled differently to begin with. I like Patriot 1776′s answer earlier and we do have to calm things down and now let the investigators do there job.

      • Cliffystones

The problems with his comments are the manner in which he chooses to make them. Not just about Martin, but that black college prof. He had slammed the police before he had any facts. And listen when he thinks the microphone is off! “Clinging to guns and religion” for example. That may have had some truth to it, but the manner in which he spoke it referred to “them” and “us”. The “us” being those in attendance he considered his equals, the “them” being those “others” who he clearly looks down his nose at. You know, working class folks who would prefer to not be under his brand of “leadership”.

And then there’s the comments he made to the Russian President when he thought the mike was off. At very minimum those comments show a lack of consideration of his responsibility to the American people. Atb most that statement could be construed as an act of treason.

      • http://folkartist.wordpress.com Libertytrain

exactly Cliffystones – he chooses to be a black man, not a white man, not a man. By being just a man, he could have made a huge difference – and he’s proven time and time again that he is a liar, and a sleaze to the American people – he needs to check to see if the mic is off before he sells our souls down the river….

      • Robert Smith

Question asked about the shooting: “And just WHY is it in the forefront? ”

Because it was a shooting where a BAD LAW was cited to get the perp off for the short term.

It’s ALWAYS been OK to defend yourself in America. To go after someone with a gun in your pocket after being told to stand down by the police isn’t what America, Neighborhood Watch, or common sense is about.

Zimmerman has clearly demonstrated the irresponsible side of gun ownership. I’m surprised the NRA isn’t calling for justice in this obvious violation of what they claim they stand for.

Well put, Mr Crystal. Very succinct.

  • http://norman@cates-family.com Norman F.

Not being an eye witness to the event, I can’t give a reasonable explanation of what happened. However I can discuss the part about the lack of response from Congressmen and women. Not all the black legislators are in this well known rabble! Some are trying to do a good job, but you won’t read or hear about them in the media, where the rule “If it bleeds, it leads” still stands.

But the basic problem that Congress doesn’t represent their constituents still stands. It seems there is something about the oath of office that changes us from intelligent people who can be looked to for advice, to blithering idiots whose input must be ignored. The truth is that Congress is a closed society that looks out only for itself. Untill we can convince the voters to get rid of the men and women who have been there more than three terms, it will not change. The TEA(Taxed enough already) Party is trying to do that, which explains why they are maligned in the media.

    • Ted Crawford

      Norman
” …blithering idiots whose input must be ignored ”
A prime example would seem to be the ex-rep. Alan Graysons (D Florida) antics on the floor of the house. Not to mention the case of Rep. Hank Johnson (D Georgia), who, in testamony before the House Armed Services Committee, became concerned that Guam ” Might tip over and capsize ” if we sent more troops there!

  • Ted Crawford

Good Alinsky spin there Robert. “(…frequent flyer with police) ” ? In what sense Robert? He has called the police very frequently, displaying an attitude of being overly suspicious, even to the point of paranoia. I find nothing else to support that assertion.
” and a history of arrest (assulting police) “. Zimmerman was arrested ONCE! All the initial charges stem from that single arrest and all but the domestic violence and resisting arrest were droped! Did the fact that his father was a Judge have anything to do with the way this incident was handled? One hopes that this is part of what Angela Corey is investagiting
Roberts assertion that Conservatives want to ” Allow ” the killing of children is unsupported. Most of us ( castaway would be an exception), only want the facts to come out before making any decisions here!
Lastly the continued labeling of Trayvon as ” A child ” is very misleading! Many of us were in the military at Trayvons age and many of those in my age group were fighting in Viet Nam just a few months later.

Everyone is playing into their hands. They are purposefully creating a race war so that when things get out of hand, they can come in with martial law. It’s just one more piece of their puzzle. Obama and all his parasitic constituents and democrats (also parasites) have done more to set back 50 years, race relations and the Civil Rights Movement, in just 3 short years…yet the blacks will vote for him again in November. Just an other testimony that “you can’t fix stupid”.

    • eddie47d

I’ll totally disagree with every thing you said LadyKroft. The likes of George Wallace or Jesse Helms set race relations back another 100 years so were you concerned back then? Did you fight for fair housing, equal schools or allow equal transportation opportunties to travel throughtout America. Did you sit back and say equal rights were someone elses problem or did you vote for those who embraced civil rights changes? I do see where the white male has had to take a hit in employment so the pendulum has to swing back a little. Yet that doesn’t solve the problem of chronic black unemployment where blacks are stuck in certain neighborhoods and have to fight twice as hard to get out. Some is of there own doings but most is not. What are your solutions to assure Equal Opportunity for all that is what needs to be fixed.

      • lady kroft

EDDIE DAHLING…you have a super bad case of oral dysentery. I made comment on race relations, you sir, attacked me personally. I will not comment on your rhetoric other than to say that I was a staunch advocate of equal rights since the day I learned what it was. Their own race started slavery. The tribes in Africa captured other tribes and sold them for profit. The whites did not enter the jungle to capture black people, the blacks brought their own kind down to the beach to sell, There were free black women who bought their husbands as slaves and then had black kids which they sold into slavery. Hell Mrs. Martin on March 27 put down Around $750.00 and appllied for trademarks on phrases descibing her son. Look that one up. laura,

The Racial Crazies are trying to repeal Florida’s HR 612: “Stand Your Own Ground” law where you can… shoot if you are threatened and harmed or about to be killed*… (*not sure of exact wording) because they blame Zimmerman and ‘it (HR 612)’ for Treyvon Martin’s death.

Ben Crystal wrote a witty fictitious HR 613 to go along with their racial rants and points out who is really to blame in this escalated incident which has erupted to death threats on Zimmerman.

You must learn who the Conservative Posters are here at Personal Liberty and read their common sense posts and not let the Fantasy Lefties sway you off course especially when they are not using true facts in reality.

  • B.K.

In three years race relations has been set back 40 years. This whole thing with the Martin kid is just another thing to drive a wedge further into the devide. This should be left up to the law to deal with. If Zimmerman used unlawful force he should be made to pay but there are things coming out about the incident and the character of that innocent kid that lead me to believe it’s not so cut and dried. Zimmerman over stepped in the way he handled the situation by confronting Martin, he was told not to by the 911 operator. But Martin attacked Zimmerman and he was getting a beating. It is an unfortunate situation, both made bad choices. Both are at fault. Sadly Martin is dead bacause of it. Murder? I don’t think so, mansaughter is something for the courts to decide. But to use it to further political gain and power is unforgivable.

It shouldn’t matter what color someone is the law should be applied equally. But I keep hearing the term “social justice”, what I see is this means is speical justice for some people accouding to skin color. I say forget social justice and lets have equal justice where the same measure is applied to everyone no matter the race. The Constitution is an amazing document and if they would just follow it this country would be in much better shape but you have to understand the intent as well as the document. The Federalist papers explain what the Founding Fathers had in mind when they put the Consititution together but most people don’t even know about them, let alone even looked at them. I’m not sure our “Constitutional expert” Mr. Obama, who sits in the office of President has studied them.

As a side to what an earlier post said about Mr. Clever. He is a waist of skin, I am in his distric, he does nothing for this area he only cares about his personal power and gain. He was mayor here for too long, I am ashamed to say I voted for him the first time. Silly me I thought a minister would be honest but it seems he doesn’t understand what he preached on Sunday. He is only out for himself and the people that support him do it becase of his skin color and dont’ pay attention to his actions. I know this because I have tried to educate them to things he did as mayor that were very wrong and some even illigal. He stold money from the city to go on personal vacations, kind of what Obama does. Their response is always, “but he paid it back” my answere is “not before he got caught”. Yet they keep re-electing him. Some people are just stupid sheep.

There are two sides to every story, the only problem in this incident is the race baiters have cast George Zimmerman a cold-blooded killer, and the sad part is, they have a following that beleive the same thing. Floridas stand your ground law appears to have George Zimmermans back on this. From news reports i’ve heard so far there is at least one eyewittness who says that what Zimmerman said was true. Now i do’nt know about you, but, if someone punched me in the nose and knocked me to the ground, the smashes my head into the concrete, i’m assuming i’m in danger of loosing my life, so, yeah, i would bust a cap on the assailent.

What’s happening to Zimmerman is akin to a lynch mob but they’re to be expected in a Democracy. Zimmerman probably lost the vote. Democracies mean the people rule, reagrdless of any transcendent law (God’s Law) or morality. There is no reference to democracy in the founding document. Ben Franklin refered to democracies as two wolves and a sheep voting on whats for lunch. Karl Marx said: We must win the battle for Democracy. Democracy is who has the majority of the power, not how many votes there are. With that they are usually headed by a tyrant.

Everything happening to Zimmerman is synomonous to a democracy being in place, divide and conquer. Divide the people and establish a power base. Thats what the Jesse Jacksons, Al Sharpton’s and their comrades are all about.

    • MRC2YOU2

Donald: Firstly, I doubt very seriously that a kid of Martin’s reported statute could knock down a man of Zimmer’s reported stature with a single punch. But, for my reply, let’s presume that he could. I’m a 70-years old Black been in lots of fist-fights (practically in 3/4 of the world, thanks to the Navy) In my day, only punks used anything else. So please allow me to apprise of the principle of fighting. BASIC RULE: I you know a man down, you don’t get on the ground with him, YOU STOMP HIM!

    • Robert Smith

“Floridas stand your ground law appears to have George Zimmermans back on this.”

Actually it doesn’t. He was the antagonist even after the police told him to stand down. He WENT AFTER the kid.

The Neighborhood Watch organization didn’t want him carrying a gun.

He probibly lied about the screaming.

Zimmerman’s history shows him to have a temper and a police record.

For well over 50 years politicians have been buying votes with the peoples money. The only source of money is the fruits of the peoples labors. Worse yet, they have been buying with counterfeit money, printed money without any commodity backing. Now there’s so much paper floating around what commodity there is couldn’t begin to handle a run on the commodity, whatever there is. We’re at a day of reckoning. Politicians haven’t concerned themselves, with the exception of Ron Paul, with the peoples interest. They are merely a vote they need so they can continue consuming D.C.’s dainties for themselves.

    • Christin

      Wildey,

I keep asking people who they think will bring The People the most Freedom and stick to the Constitution of our Republic and most just look at me and then make a guess, but NO ONE ever says Romneycare. I have to tell them that Dr. Ron Paul is the one who promises both and he has had the same message for decades as I have seen u-tubes of his old and new speeches.

It seems many do not know Conservative Ron Paul… only what the media has allowed or what ‘kooky’ comments they have called him.

    • Robert Smith

Wildy says: “The only source of money is the fruits of the peoples labors. ”

Unfortunately your are partially correct. What needs to be done is to go after the money that is NOT earned by hard work but stolen by those who create financial instruments that defraud others of their hard earned money.

  • http://priscillaking.blogspot.com Priscilla King

This comment addresses the first paragraph only. I frankly don’t expect my elected officials to take time to become my personal pen pals. I expect that messages supporting either side of any issue will be tallied and used to assess the feeling of the public. That’s how the system is supposed to work. It has nothing to do with the relationships politicians, as individuals, have with the individuals they actually know–their personal friends and close relatives, of whom I’m not one.

If politicians are honest enough to heed the tally of messages they get from voters, as opposed to special interests, they’re WELL above average.

Well, the latest news is that Zimmerman’s attorneys have quit becauce he won’t get back to them and is in hiding somewhere, and they don’t know where. They said he’s been acting strange. • old hillbilly

“NO PERSON SHALL BE HELD TO ANSWER FOR A CAPITAL, OR OTHERWISE INFAMOUS CRIME, UNLESS ON A PRESENTMENT OR INDICTMENT OF A GRAND JURY…” AMENDMENT 5!

Zimmerman was charged with 2nd degree murder by the Fla. DA, who made the comment on TV that she didn’t need a grand jury indictment! That violation makes this a multi-million dollar defense against the federal DOJ, FBI, Congress, the state of Fla., ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, NAACP, Panthers, Jessie Jackson, Al Sharpton… ad infinitum… way beyond the capability of any US citizen. He has been convicted in the national public forum by mobs, media, and government without due process. He has a bounty is on his head and none of the above is held accountable! We are in a state of chaotic madness!

I soundly believe in due process. A grand jury in that area is meeting this week or next (TV statements!), and the DA pointedly (on TV) did not intend to present the case to the grand jury. As a DA she is sworn to uphold the Constitution. Her acts are in direct contempt of the Constitution.

Article 4 “probable cause supported by oath or affirmation” should carry extraordinary punishment if false or used to deny justice – which is the case if not conducted through Article 5!

If there is reasonable cause, set the due process wheels in motion. If Zimmerman is judged innocent by a jury, let all of his false accusers and prosecutors receive the punishment they laid at his feet and force them to pay triple his cost of losses! Old common law punishment would be more severe!
