Gun Defense Group Offers Support To Zimmerman

The National Association for Legal Gun Defense (NALGD), a Texas-based group that supports people involved in self-defense cases, has offered to contribute $10,000 toward George Zimmerman’s legal expenses.

While on neighborhood-watch patrol, Zimmerman allegedly shot and killed Trayvon Martin. Reportedly, Zimmerman told police he shot Trayvon in self-defense after the teenager broke his nose and banged his head on the ground.

NAGLD, whose motto is “Others Lobby…We Fight,” offers financial support to law-enforcement officers, hunters and civilians who are involved in gun cases. The group provides legal assistance to its members in the event of a criminal or civil suit. It is unknown whether Zimmerman was a member.

Blue Rannefield, an attorney in Fort Worth, Texas, has tried to contact Zimmerman as well as Zimmerman’s attorney on behalf of the group. Thus far, he has been unsuccessful.
