Growing Number Of Gun Manfacturers Refuse To Sell To Gun-Grabbing Governments

Leave it to free enterprise to hold up a mirror to lawmakers bent on social engineering and substituting freedom-robbing “public welfare” laws in place of individual choice.

For the past several weeks, CNS has been following an online listing called The Police Loophole, which tracks gun makers that refuse to sell their wares to law enforcement agencies in places where civilians are banned from owning the same weapons.

With the Administration of President Barack Obama ramping up the gun-grabbing rhetoric following December’s media-sensation mass killing in Connecticut, and with States and local governments choosing sides in the escalating war on the 2nd Amendment , the list has grown.

In fact, it’s tripled.

“In just two weeks, the number of companies participating in what has been named the ‘Firearms Equality Movement,’ has more than tripled from 34 companies to 118,” CNS reported this weekend.

On the list are a few mom-and-pop specialty makers throughout the country, as well as larger manufacturers such as Barrett and Magpul. Each has gone on record explaining why it won’t sell guns to any enforcement agency unless those same weapons can also be bought by the people whom LEOs “protect and serve.”

In a statement last month, Barrett CEO Ronnie Barrett cut through the political and cultural confusion Big Government has been using to justify its “Assault on Liberty”:

Whether on the supply or the demand side, boycotts themselves are artificial animals, and they seldom achieve through simple economics the goals their supporters hold dear. But the swelling number of businesses that make and supply weapons to Americans are tapping into a political base comprised of vocal individuals who cherish the 2nd Amendment. And that’s a base that, in many localities, has voiced its argument to preserve the Bill of Rights to a deaf oligarchy of elected representatives.

In other words, these gun manufacturers are successfully co-opting a constituency of Americans who know they’ve been sold out by their leaders. The manufacturers are representing these peoples’ 2nd Amendment powers in a way that galvanizes on-the-ground political opposition to the laws, and lawmakers, that aim to disenfranchise them.

Let’s see if our leaders have sufficient fortitude — or the required measure of brazen disregard for our Republic — to ignore that kind of resistance.

Ben Bullard

Reconciling the concept of individual sovereignty with conscientious participation in the modern American political process is a continuing preoccupation for staff writer Ben Bullard. A former community newspaper writer, Bullard has closely observed the manner in which well-meaning small-town politicians and policy makers often accept, unthinkingly, their increasingly marginal role in shaping the quality of their own lives, as well as those of the people whom they serve. He argues that American public policy is plagued by inscrutable and corrupt motives on a national scale, a fundamental problem which individuals, families and communities must strive to solve. This, he argues, can be achieved only as Americans rediscover the principal role each citizen plays in enriching the welfare of our Republic.

Is there a way we can learn of 100% of firearms AND ammunition manufacturers in the USA so we can each send messages to persuade 100% of those manufacturer’s to stop selling arms AND ammunition to Government Agencies?

    • eddie47d

That might not be a bad idea taking away some of the weaponry from the police for they have an overloaded arsenal too. They also need to be brought back down to earth in their killing capabilities. Enough stories of police plugging one person with 45 bullet holes for their personal enjoyment and SWAT team intrusions!

      • ranger09

Its not the weapon, Its the person behind the weapon. Heart soul and mind. makes the person. A weapon just gives you the strenght. How you use it is what makes you a man or an Animal.

    • Alex

Clearly, you are anything but ‘erudite’.

You seem like a Bill O’Really sycophant— walking around with words beyond your comprehension.

      Back to school for you…

Wow , so thats what it means to be an internet troll . Thanks for the clarification .

      • Wil

        Project much,Alex?

  • eddie47d

As you all say “criminals will always find a way to aquire their weapon” so will the police and the military. Since most weapons aren’t going to be banned or even regulated even “law abiding citizens” will still have a treasure trove of weapons and magazines to choose from. If American Companies don’t want to cooperate then maybe those Eastern European outfits will. I’d hate to see them (buying foreign) but maybe that will be acceptable like purchasing a Honda. Personally I think some of these gun manufacturers are “sinister” and pure evil in peddling Some of their products and have taken advantage of the Second Amendment long enough in distributing their poison pills. Their “assault” on common sense and upping the ante on easy killing is hardly an admirable trait and its time they take their share of the responsibility in ending it.

” Since most weapons aren’t going to be banned or even regulated …”

eddie just because it is not a law on the books now does NOT mean it is not the goal.

    • Wil

Good. Let the freedom-hating feds buy the Chinese junk. It would give us patriots that much more of an edge using American made equipment that actually works.

      • WILDFIRE

Obama is running around whining about the disastrous “Sequester” (in which he and his own staff come up with in 2011), yet he allows the federal government to spend billions of dollars to buy munitions by these not military outfits by which will never use up nor need these munitions. Those billions he has spent on ammo could be going to the ones he is now saying will lose their jobs. Though if the money was not spent on ammo, he would have sent it to the Muslim brotherhood long before he used it to assist the American people.

These libtards / Democrats aka communist are only going to hurt them self in the long run. With Obamacare, they are losing jobs because employers need to cut back due to the tax hikes. They are attacking gun owners ,manufacturers in an attempt to disarm Americans which will have the trickle down effect to the manufacturers and hurt the sales of manufacturers causing them to cut back on employees – thus the governments lose out on sales tax generated, corporate tax generated and personal income tax lost due to the lay offs that they will have to deal with this ban. The libtards further hurting the economy by further job loses and lost tax revenue.

Then you have libtards over in NY attacking the people to further enslave and restrict them from not only the “Big Gulp” soda drinks, but now they are attacking them from being able to get free refills or buy multiple bottles of 16oz soda drinks.

Their shenanigans will further hurt the economy and governments because of the lose in sales tax generated, manufacturers will have to lay off and cut back production their by the government losing tax revenue both corporate and personal income taxes.

In the end run of things, these business will abandon their participation in the American economics and close up shop completely and move to another Country and take their jobs and revenue with them to other Countries that will welcome their jobs and revenue with open arms. American jobs going over seas are always welcomed because they are not out of touch like the liberals in this Country are. They know that when jobs come to their area, it means money in the form of taxes and jobs and those people with jobs spend their money boosting their local economy.

So you moronic litards keep on placing mandates and over regulations on companies to the point you make it either to hard or too expensive to operate in this Country and they will simply move out of this Country taking their billions of dollars with them and when you can’t tax them anymore to pay for your entitlements, you’ll be whining because the well dried up and your homeless and hungry.

With technology the way it is these days and global trading going on, There are tons of Countries that are up and coming and love the US for sending them the jobs and the money to their Countries.

Theses libtards / democrats aka communist have been attacking companies and losing 100,000 of thousands of jobs with their attacks on coal industry, oil industries now the arms industry and even the soda industry.

Alex you stand out like a neon sign, and a true liberal sycophant. Of course like all liberals, you simply do not get it! Good luck “chump” You gonna need it.

  • jdn

Unfortunately , our government will gladly buy from the Chinese or Russians if they start to feel a supply crunch . Loyalty to the American people is something that only shows its head at election time . We need to escalate the pressure on our government on a national level that they can understand . Perhaps a national strike until they back off on our rights and go back to a national budget and show some responsibilty to their offices and us . Nothing gets people motivated like cutting off the cash flow .

  • http://yahoo Don

the shelves are empty of bullets in the stores. government agencies put im orders for billions of bullets recently. enough to kill each of us several times. why don’t the manufacturers cut that off and let the public have a few. drying up the supplies of bullets in this country would be the perfect gun control. its working. scare the public into buying up all the bullets and having no replacement would work great. it would take away the power of the armed masses.

  • 45caliber

I took a look at the ammo department in our local Walmarts this weekend. They had ONE box of ammo that would fit a pistol I have. No ammo for my rifle and only bird shot for shotguns. There were only seven boxes of ANY ammo other than bird shot. I understand the government is trying to buy 100 years worth of ammo. Why? Could it be that they hope to raise the civilian price of ammo to a level no one can afford it?

    • Hedgehog

45caliber; Find and befriend your local handloaders! Police up and hang on to any shell casings you find. I’m a Canadian and a handloader, I have dies to reload calibers I don’t own and never have. I’m sure your local handloaders are much the same. If you can, get the loading gear, and learn how to roll your own!

  • Bill Scantlen

What I would like to hear is that manufacturers of all calibers of ammo will not sell any to police departments, sheriff dept or to any government agency other than the military that support gun control. All other need not apply.

  • ibcamn

To all the manfacturers who are involved with FEM,thank you!!i will snicker for every new agent or cop who has to rethink whats going on!!ha ha ha ha ha haha ha(thats my evil laugh)

    • roger

if he is truly unarmed why hasnt any one taken him out ? because all the gangbangers love his position to disarm all law abiding citizens so they have easy targets and dont have to worry about getting shot at sdince the local police are the most corrupt in America and have been since Daily or earlier

One thing for sure, The firearms and Ammo Mfgs are sure making their Money off of us Poor Citizens. You would think that in these times they would be able to keep the Prices lower for us fellow Americans. ??

ranger09 says: “One thing for sure, The firearms and Ammo Mfgs are sure making their Money off of us Poor Citizens. You would think that in these times they would be able to keep the Prices lower for us fellow Americans. ??”

You can Thank Obama and the libtards for creating the increase in arms sales. They are the best arms salesman in the business.

As far as the Mfgers keeping the prices lower, it may not be their fault or in their control. When supply and demand come into play, prices always increase. It might be the dealers and stores that are driving the prices up and not the manufacturers. Such as you’ll see everytime there is a tornado, hurricane or even a tropical storm somewhere. The price of gas go up as the demand for it increases because fuel supplies are low in those areas their fore they can raise the price because they know people will pay the price what ever it is to acquire it. Wood and construction materials go up every where because supplies are required to rebuild those areas hit causing a shortage of supplies every where else.

Same as in the real estate industry, when a big business comes to a town / city, the price of real estate goes up because people will be flocking to that area for a job. Likewise, the area where that big business left will cause the price of real estate to go down because it is undesirable area and no body wants to live nor relocate to a place with no jobs.

So its not always the Mfg or developers who are to blame for price increases, stores and dealers and distributors jump in to profit off of other peoples misfortune or panic and fear of others. Known as “free enterprise” “Free market” and “capitalism”. These are what once made this Country the strongest nation in the world in a very short period of time. Which are now slowly being choked to death by the liberals with their hands around the necks of business’s.

  • Robert

But not all Sheriff departments, some of them are our side against federal and state gun controls

  • ex-millman

Ever since Obamma ben ladin started his BS about guns the law abiding citizen has been buying more ammo and guns. I’m glad to see that gun manufactures are standing shoulder to shoulder with us and will provide us with the means to defend ourselves and this country. Most of the Demo craps really need to watch out as in 2014 they might get voted out of office or they should be. Especially since their veiwes are so skewed because they have been so busy SUCKING up to that idiot Obamma ben ladin. He is a fake and a lier. All he wants is to re-make this country in his own image, another 3rd world country like Kenya in jigga boo land.

The mfg’s are standing shoulder to shoulder because Obama is attacking their business and forcing them to lose business by placing bans on all the various guns and mags will dramatically reduce their net profits lost due to lack of sales. They know their business exists and thrives due to the American citizen who buys their products.

According to the Efficiency of Militia Bill H.R. 11654, of June 28, 1902 , most past or present government elected officals should be arressted and removed from office, and taken to Levinworth for dispatch.
Why do “We The People” keep letting them step on us?

The Dick Act of 1902 also known as the Efficiency of Militia Bill H.R. 11654, of June 28, 1902 invalidates all so-called gun-control laws. It also divides the militia into three distinct and separate entities.

The three classes H.R. 11654 provides for are the organized militia, henceforth known as the National Guard of the State, Territory and District of Columbia, the unorganized militia and the regular army. The militia encompasses every able-bodied male between the ages of 18 and 45. All members of the unorganized militia have the absolute personal right and 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms of any type, and as many as they can afford to buy.

The Dick Act of 1902 cannot be repealed; to do so would violate bills of attainder and ex post facto laws which would be yet another gross violation of the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The President of the United States has zero authority without violating the Constitution to call the National Guard to serve outside of their State borders.

The National Guard Militia can only be required by the National Government for limited purposes specified in the Constitution (to uphold the laws of the Union; to suppress insurrection and repel invasion). These are the only purposes for which the General Government can call upon the National Guard.

Attorney General Wickersham advised President Taft, “the Organized Militia (the National Guard) can not be employed for offensive warfare outside the limits of the United States.”

The Honorable William Gordon, in a speech to the House on Thursday, October 4, 1917, proved that the action of President Wilson in ordering the Organized Militia (the National Guard) to fight a war in Europe was so blatantly unconstitutional that he felt Wilson ought to have been impeached.

During the war with England an attempt was made by Congress to pass a bill authorizing the president to draft 100,000 men between the ages of 18 and 45 to invade enemy territory, Canada. The bill was defeated in the House by Daniel Webster on the precise point that Congress had no such power over the militia as to authorize it to empower the President to draft them into the regular army and send them out of the country.

The fact is that the President has no constitutional right, under any circumstances, to draft men from the militia to fight outside the borders of the USA, and not even beyond the borders of their respective states. Today, we have a constitutional LAW which still stands in waiting for the legislators to obey the Constitution which they swore an oath to uphold.

Charles Hughes of the American Bar Association (ABA) made a speech which is contained in the Appendix to Congressional Record, House, September 10, 1917, pages 6836-6840 which states: “The militia, within the meaning of these provisions of the Constitution is distinct from the Army of the United States.” In these pages we also find a statement made by Daniel Webster, “that the great principle of the Constitution on that subject is that the militia is the militia of the States and of the General Government; and thus being the militia of the States, there is no part of the Constitution worded with greater care and with more scrupulous jealousy than that which grants and limits the power of Congress over it.”

“This limitation upon the power to raise and support armies clearly establishes the intent and purpose of the framers of the Constitution to limit the power to raise and maintain a standing army to voluntary enlistment, because if the unlimited power to draft and conscript was intended to be conferred, it would have been a useless and puerile thing to limit the use of money for that purpose. Conscripted armies can be paid, but they are not required to be, and if it had been intended to confer the extraordinary power to draft the bodies of citizens and send them out of the country in direct conflict with the limitation upon the use of the militia imposed by the same section and article, certainly some restriction or limitation would have been imposed to restrain the unlimited use of such power.”

    The Honorable William Gordon
