Governor Chris Christie Has A Message For Obama

July 11, 2012 by

Governor Chris Christie Has A Message For Obama
New Jersey Governor Chris Christie does not want stimulus money to hire more public workers.

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, known for his willingness to speak his mind, relayed a message to the President on Monday.

“Please don’t send me any more money to hire more public employees. Please don’t,” begged Christie. “I’ve got plenty as it is, and I don’t need any more, and they’re expensive.”

Despite failing the first time around, the government has been planning another round of stimulus spending which would include hiring more teachers, firefighters and police officers.

Christie argues that employing people in that fashion causes long-term harm and the money would be better spent building up infrastructure. “Where’s this money going to come from to pay these folks afterwards?”

Some believe the Governor’s most recent speech is another way to increase his presence on the national scene and get his name on the ticket in November.

Christie also said that he will wait until after the election to decide whether his State will accept the Obamacare expansion to Medicaid.

Why would he wait until after the election to decide whether NJ will accept Medicaid expansion?

If he became part of the Republican ticket we would have another member of the Executive Branch that understands Global Warming and the human aspect of it.

    • chamuiel

Global Warming. The central theme of this election is jobs, nolt some dreamed up farce called Global warming.

    • Ted Crawford

Most of us do understand Global Warming, it is the Eons old cycle of Climate Change. Has been occurring since the formation of the planet and will continue, with or without human kind, as long as the planet exists!
Some of us are old enough to remember the last time they tried this nonsense. Armed then, as now, with reams of ” Evidence ” from many of the very same “Scientific ” Organizations, and equally as certain that we were, through our pollution, causing a Global Climate Change that would very, very soon, plunge the planet into another ICE AGE ! ! ! We didn’t fall for their foolishness then and we still woun’t !

Doc, be realistic, first global warming or cooling is a natural occurance that has been going on since the earth was created and it will continue since the earth is a living thing, and when earth ceases to live then it will be merely just a dead planet just like all of the other planets in our solar system.
Second, this article has nothing to do with global warming it is about the N.J. governor telling the president where to stick his bribery money so lets stick to the subject.

ATTENTION to all, who is interested to learn more TRUTH about CRIMINAL CHARLATAN:

On July 17 Sheriff Joe Arpaio will held a press conference at 2:30 p.m. local time at the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office in Phoenix, Ariz.

WND says: “The evidence will include information gathered in the posse’s recent investigative trip to Hawaii as well as an update on the ongoing investigation. WND reported last month that a letter from Hawaii’s Department of Health verifying Obama’s birth in Honolulu has “opened the door” to some “shocking revelations” the posse is promising to disclose.

Among the details leaked early by Cold Case Posse lead investigator Mike Zullo: There are allegedly several stamps bearing Registrar Alvin Onaka’s name “floating around” inside the Hawaii Department of Health.

“I can’t disclose to you what we’ve discovered, but it’s going to be a shocking revelation at our press conference,” Zullo told Tea Party Power Hour host Mark Gillar in a telephone interview from Hawaii.”

SPREAD this information with everyone you know. It will be on the WND TV

      In God We Trust.

How about it might get repealed and he doesn’t want to spend taxpayer money setting up exchanges that will be obsolete if the health care plan is overturned?

Utah has already spent $22B since 2008….

Public employee unions are a large part of the problem…….Gov. Christie understands this, a vast majority of conservatives see this as well. A nation having a large percentage of its total employment as government employees creates a parasite that will eventually kill it’s host like a cancer. It’s happening now, governments are going bankrupt. I don’t understand how folks can witness cause and effect and then deny that it is happening. I guess you just can’t fix stupid.

    • Average Joe

      Sun Tzu ,
      You write:

“I don’t understand how folks can witness cause and effect and then deny that it is happening. I guess you just can’t fix stupid.”

I believe that Douglas Adams said it best:

Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.

    • Ted Crawford

There was a time in America when even the left honestly pursued what was best for America, we just had different approches to achieving that! Remember Kohn Kennedy- ” A tax cut means higher family incomes and higher business profits and a balanced federal budget… Prosperity is the real way to finally balance the budget ” ? How about even Lyndon Johnson, by far not one of my favorite Presidents- ” you [should] not examine legislation in the light of the benefits it would convey if properly administered, but in light of the wrongs it would do and the harm it would do if improperly administered ”
Even one of the strongest supporters of Labor Unions and the American worker in general, and one I find even less favorable than Johnson, understood the danger of Public Sector Unions- ” all Government employees should realize that the pratice of collective bargaining, as usually understood, cannot be transplanted into the public service, It has it’s distinct and insurmountable limitations when applied to public personnel management ” Franklin Roosevelt !.

I believe the Air Traffic Controllers were government workers.

    • http://http// sophillyjimmy

Xie xie Sun Tzu, when it comes to government employees we have to realize that the government is a non profit enterprise, they get nothing in return from the work of their employees except the same income taxes that they receive from the private sector. They pay these employees to take care of the taxpayers and they hire drones and malcontents that give us the taxpayers an attitude when we have to go to any government department as though we are making them get off their arses to pull our files or even to type our information into a computer.
Many departments are suppose to hire through civil service exams, but since I worked for the city of Philadelphia as a prison sergeant, I knew many guards that never took the exam and it showed when they had to write reports. They were barley literate, they couldn’t complete a sentence without multiple mistakes and when it came to inmate infractions, some serious I would have to re write the reports based on what the guard would tell me what happened or the inmate would have surly gotten away with the infraction if it went to court based on the original report written by the guard that only got the job through politics.I had a deputy superintendent that didn’t even know how to spell his title. He coldn’t pass the sergeants test in 18 years on the job, but when his brother in law became superintendent he went through the ranks provisionally, which meant that he didn’t have to take the civil service exam, he was given the job provisionally until the exam was given but by that time, he was already provisionally promoted to a higher rank. We were represented by AFSCME and the president and business agent would make deals with the administration where the drones who refused to do their jobs were protected and the trustworthy guards or supervisors wee thrown to the wolves by the union when the superintendent told them to do so.
Government is corrupt from local jurisdictions all the way up to the White House and that is one of the reasons it is going broke and cannot do the basics that their jobs require of them, and when something does have to be done, it always falls on those of us that knew and cared about doing our jobs properly.

      • Sun Tzu

I know first hand of what you speak. We’ve lowered the bar in government so low that we shouldn’t be surprised that we have massive incompetence nationwide. Of course with this incompetence comes nepotism, corruption and massive waste (see felony theft). This, in a large part, is how our nation got to be where it is today, not just in the administrative side of government but in public education as well. This ensures that we will reap the fallout of poor judgement for generations to come………….all in the name of political correctness. Makes you wonder how a civilization so advanced could be so monumentally stupid. Along with redistributing wealth……the government is redistributing ignorance and incompetence so everyone can enjoy it. If you look throughout history, great civilizations failed on roughly the same lines.

  • Corkey

CC speaks out of both sides of his mouth. I live in NJ and he is no different than Corzine, just louder and more obnoxious. His Lt Governor is currently under investigation for pension violations and that says it all. Do as I say, not as I do.

    • Kevin

I live in Jersey too and he’s the best thing to happen to state politics in a long, long time. We need 49 other govs. just like him.

      • agbjr

Corkey is obviously longing for a return of Frank Hague and his corrupt Democrat Party machine. I’m certain not one of my relatives in Jersey City’s Holy Name Cemetery has missed an election since they were buried.

      • Sun Tzu

Kevin you’re right. CC clearly sees what the problem is and is determined to stop the insanity. Some are inclined to avoid the truth because of the resulting pain, but it will be a lot worse if nothing is done now. There are others governors who think as CC does and in those states with conservative governors, unemployment is down and job creation is up. Once again, cause and effect. This is really difficult for some mindsets to grip, that’s the reason folks still believe in man-made global warming, socialism, spending your way out of a recession, food stamps create jobs, pouring more money into education, and class warfare…..just to name a few. Many folks believe in these things, history however, tells another story.

      • jeepman1

Sun Tzu, you are spot on in your assessment. But, I wish folks would stop calling cuts “painful”. The implication that cuts in government will result in some kind of “pain” is deep seated in the American psyche. And, it needs to go! The flip side of cuts in government mean that the working class will feel less pain as their tax burden is lifted. That, my friend, is the way cuts should be thought of. If the 50% that are receiving “assistance” are forced to do with less, then so be it. How about we turn our attention to the plight of the other 50% that provide the assistance. Has anyone dared think of their “pain”?

        • Sun Tzu

          I heartily agree.

      • meteorlady

I saw a chart recently that tracked government growth with unemployment. Both were in lock step. The more government, the less jobs in the private sector.

    • http://google gary gerke

Investigation by political rivals is nothing more than hype.

    • JeffH

Corkey, “His Lt Governor is currently under investigation for pension violations and that says it all.”

Gee, in la la land I guess that makes Christie guilty…of what I don’t know but I don’t live in la la land either.

You mention Corzine…do you remember then Senator Corzine’s scandal involving a half-million dollar loan he gave his ex-girlfriend, Carla Katz, who just happens to be the head of one of New Jersey’s largest state workers unions?

Besides the half-million smackers he gave Carla Katz, according to investigators, Senator Corzine voted in favor of a “treaty between the United States and Japan that contains a provision exempting certain investors from paying capital gains taxes on their shares in a Japanese bank. The [public interest] lawyers say Corzine was among about 100 investors who benefited.

Wasn’t it Corzine, Obama’s buddy, who bankrupted MF Global and stole hundreds of billions from investors?

The same Jon Corzine that was the Chairman of Goldman Sachs until he was fired. This billionaire Wall Street executive then decided that he was a Socialist, and that he would foist his “progressive” agenda on New Jersey. He became the governor, and his reign of {t}error was one corruption scandal after another.

    • Ted Crawford

” His lt. Governor is under investigation that says it all ”
Obamas Attorney General is not only under investigation, but has been CHARGED with Contempt of Congress, that says it all as well I assume !

      • JeffH

Ted, for those that don’t know or don’t want to know…Holder’s charged with “criminal” contempt and there is now a push to have him disbarred from practicing law.

      • meteorlady

If he’s disbarred, then he can join the Obamas, both of which surrendered their law licenses. Ever wonder why?

    • http://http// sophillyjimmy

Corkey, sounds to me that you were a McGreevy fan. You say that CC talks out of both sides of his mouth but McGreevy sucked out of both sides of his mouth, now I suppose yo also liked Corzine, but I bet you wouldn’t like him if he misplaced (stole) our life savings just to fill Democat campaign coffers including Obama’s.

  • Warrior

Yea but Chris, it’s all about the “childen”. Let’s see now. Here in beautiful “progressive land” i.e. CROOK COUNTY, over the past 30 years the teachers staff along with their “aids” has doubled. Funny thing though, the student population has only increase 8%.

Oh, and let’s not forget about the grossly underfunded pensions of whom else, but all these pubic sector trough feeders. Their handlers promised them all these little goody bags but oops, forget to stuff them.

Anyone in the “private sector” that votes for a single democrat should immediately be placed in a straightjacket and carted off to the nearest obamacare psychiatric clinic or whatever frau sebelius has planned for you.

In Scranton they are putting city workers on minimum wages, spending is out of control. Also many private sector jobs are Government funded. In the 1970s my dad worked for the Pentagon and his job was done by what they called the beltway bandits.Private companies recieving Govt. contracts. No difference.

    • chamuiel

20 years ago, all unskilled city workers were paid minimum wage and garbage workers are not skilled

      • http://http// sophillyjimmy

Chamuiel, they are referred as Sanitation Engineers now so they think that gives them the right to earn upwards of $100,000 a year with overtime while they park their trucks a block away and sit at a bar and get drunk on our taxpayers dime. And since they learned what maumbak means they think they deserve another raise and better benefits.
Maumbak is what the collector yells to the driver if he has to walk more the 10 feet with a trash bag in his hand, notice next time they are making a collection in your neighborhood, you will hear the collector yell constantly maumbak, maumbak.

  • jopa

Why do all these GOP candidates always want us to wait until after the elections and then they will tell us all we want to know.Even the Mutt Romney said he will tell us after the elections how he will save America, how much he has invested in foreign countries, how he will transport his dog on Air Force One,((strapped to the roof or not) how he will go about repealing the ACA that is the law of the land. What they are going to say after the elections is probably what you don’t want to hear.I will have to go with our President for his openess and honesty despite all the lies put out by the Rummy campaign and Fox news.

    • http://http// sophillyjimmy

Jopa, whatever you are taking you should be selling on a street corner, you live in a Utopia when you say that Obama has been honest, when he took the oath of office it was his first lie as president since he swore to defend the Constitution and he has violated it every chance he got. He is using Executive Privilege where it is not Constitutionally lawful, he promised no new taxes to the middle class but in January, 2013 he is hitting the middle class up with 20 new taxes for Obamacare, the largest tax hike in the history of America and you honestly think he is honest?
Perhaps Romney does not want to make promises he cannot keep before he is elected since as we all know the Obama administration hasn’t been as tranparent as he promised it would be so Romney doesn’t know what he will be walking into to make promises he can’t keep.
I personally think Romney will be walking into the Oval Office that is do deep into corruption and distorted financial figures he would be foolish to give up his game plan when he is going to need Plan A,B,C and D.
But don’t worry Jopa, when Obama and Holder are convicted I think the judge will pur them both in the same Federal Prison and you could go and visit both of your homies, and if they are walking a little funny it happens when cellies play pancake with each other, you know one flips one then the other gets his chance to flip the other and if Obama calls Holder Michelle by mistake just excuse him for his error.

      • Palin16

The point is why should people be able to pay for tattoos with food stamps?
Reminds me of the time I overheard some welfare chick cursing out a cashier in 7-11 for not letting her buy cigarettes with her damn food stamps. • http://http// sophillyjimmy

Palin, the point Jopa is trying to make is he/she sees nothing wrong with welfare recipients getting tattoos, piercings or porn with our taxpayers currency ( notice I didn’t say money since money is backed by something of value, i.e., gold, silver and even oil but Obama just cranks up the printing presses and creates trillions in curency) that is not worth the cost of printing it.
This is the twisted and demented thinking of the average liberal in America, the same thinking that considers that abortion is not a form of genocide.

tncdel, Obama appointed a women to the Supreme Court illegally who is an avowed member of the American Communist Party, so what is your point?
Christies appointing a Muslim has nothing to do with Sharias Law or Hamas just like the many German judges appointed throughout the years had nothing to do with the Nazi Party or all of the black judges that are not members of the New Black Panther Party, and many of these black Judges are members of the Black Islamic faith.

Chris Christie and Alan Grayson–two of a kind–big mouths.

  • http://http// sophillyjimmy

Claire, there are two kinds of big mouths, those that just run their mouths and those that will back up what they say and I think Christie talks the talk and could walk the walk since he is a North Jersey Italian/American who wouldn’t hesitate taking somebody outside and prove his pint if push came to shove, this I know wince I grew up in South Philly and although I normally am quiet but do speak up when provoked and if someone doesn’t like what I have to say, I will also take it to the next step if necessary.

    • http://none Claire

sophillyjimmy–Okay, fair enough. You like him, I don’t. If a person backs up what they say, then great. However, to me, he is just another politician that thinks “loud, boisterous” words will get them what they want. They all tell us what we want to hear. But it is not surprising that they “change” the minute they are elected.

      • JeffH

Claire, whether you like him or not…at least Christie is making a positive difference to NJ unlike his predecessor, the ever corrupt Jon Corzine.

He shows he’s got the cahones to stand up and fire back at the media and the corruption in NJ.

Christie retained a solid job approval rating of 56-38 percent despite the GOP failure to make any gains in the legislative races last week, according to the Quinnipiac University poll.
