Goldman Sachs is the ghost over America, and it is a proxy for the elite crime that has wrecked the country and impoverished the middle class.

Goldman Sachs rules the world for the 1 percent.

The U.S. political system — indeed, that of the whole world — is dysfunctional because it is run by Goldman Sachs for Goldman Sachs. It is well-known that Goldman Sachs recommended stocks related to the housing mortgage mania at the same time that it shorted the stocks. Nobody goes to jail, and there are only hand slaps from the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Because of the heavy influence of Goldman Sachs in our government and in governments around the world, it operates above the law and takes every advantage for its own people. This is getting to be public knowledge, but the American people are paralyzed as far as any action by the lapdog U.S. Congress. There is nowhere for the people to turn in a nationwide system of organized crime under the aegis of private investment banks. The recent collapse and bankruptcy of MF Global is a huge factor in eroding public confidence. It appears that client funds (investors), even though segregated, were used to speculate for MF Global’s own account.

Jon Corzine, who ran MF Global into the ground, losing vast sums of investor funds, told a Congressional committee that he “didn’t know where the money went.”

Corzine is a former CEO of Goldman Sachs and a former Governor of New Jersey, a bankrupt State. Some people believe Corzine is in line to be the next U.S. Secretary of the Treasury in the Obama Administration.

The likes of Corzine, Raj Rajaratnam, Bernie Madoff, Rajat Gupta and a legion of legal gangsters are gaming the system to enrich the Wall Street club. When widespread corruption is on the public stage, how long before the collapse of the whole system?

The pied pipers of Babylon have no clothes and they have no shame. They fear no prosecution because they are the privileged elite. These are the same people who ghostwrite things such as the recent 2012 National Defense Authorization Act and then turn the military loose on the American people whom they brand “terrorists and extremists.”

They are not oblivious to the coming economic collapse and the fact that they may be victims of the wrath of oppressed Americans and subject to public hanging. This is the expected pattern that develops in the chaos and crisis of the collapse of a despotic government. All this is in the next chapter of the default of national governments. It is already beginning for those who have eyes to see. All that is needed now is the trigger.

Goldman Sachs doesn’t stop at the U.S. border. Mario Monti, the new Prime Minister of Italy, the new European Central Bank President Mario Draghi and the freshly appointed Greek Prime Minister Lucas Papademos are all Goldman Sachs alumni. Add to this Petros Christodoulos, Chairman of Greece’s Public Debt Management Agency, who is a former trader for Goldman Sachs in London. This Goldman Sachs network goes on and on all over Europe.

The following is quoted from Marc Faber in his Gloom, Boom & Doom Report of Dec. 31:

Two other heavyweight members of Goldman’s European network have also figured large in the euro crisis: Otmar Issing, a former member of the Bundesbank board of directors and a one-time chief economist of the European Central Bank, and Ireland’s Peter Sutherland, an administrator for Goldman Sachs International, who played a behind the scenes role in the Irish bailout.

Marc Roche then goes on to explain that Goldman Sachs’ trading room benefitted from this “capital of relationships.” That may certainly have been the case, but we need to put this network of “friends” in the proper perspective. The other large financial institutions, and for that matter all major corporations, also have their “friends” in high places, plus their lobbyists who can influence the legislative process. In addition, judged by the performance of Goldman Sachs’ stock, the investment bank’s connections have lately been less useful. So, I am not a member of the Goldman Sachs detractor fraternity, as I know well that Goldman only did what all the other financial institutions have done, which is to use the dysfunctional political system and the money-printing central banks to their advantage. However, I will say that Goldman Sachs perfected the art and was therefore better at it.

The point I am driving at is that a reckless meritocracy creates an enormous economic and political mess. Yet, investors are looking at the very same people to solve the problems by implementing appropriate fiscal and monetary policies. But, if one looks carefully at the proposed measures (mostly money printing), it is apparent that they will merely postpone remedying the structural problems and not solve them. I have mentioned this because I see an increasing number of pundits who advocate money printing as the only solution to the problem of bank insolvencies.

      Thanks PJ. I just watched the trailer. I guess I gotta spend the nickle to watch the movie. I definately will. I’m not sure what’s going on but something big is happening. I started blogging a few months ago with physicist’s and the like trying to find out why after 100 years they couldn’t negotiate quantum gravity with Einstein’s theories and I came across Nassim Haramein and got the answers I needed. Then seperately I started blogging on political sites and getting into these great discussions wanting to find out what’s really going on in the world. Now, somehow I find that the two are very significant and related to each other. There is definately some kind of global conciousness that is leading to a paradigm shift in the way that mankind thinks. It’s moving away from it’s self-serving greedy ways to a higher level/ knowledge sharing kinda way. Something’s going on.

        You may be able to find the whole Thrive movie. I downloaded it from Vimeo a few months ago; and it was on Youtube but was taken down. I think it gets uploaded to free sites periodically and then taken down soon after by It is worth the few dollars they charge, though. An excellent movie!

        Instead of remarking repeatedly about the crimes of the last 100 years, lets vote to close all big banks, collect all assets of those banks ((not the small depositors i.e. we the people) by this I mean the treasury notes they hold etc)) and burn the lot. US debt gone…yes. New York did it in the past when it defaulted. Of course we would have to deal with China. It holds a significant amount of US debt. But that is debt that the US Corp owes to China. We the people have nothing to do with that. Let US Corp deal with china. But I am sure that China will still want to sell their cheap things here in America. We just raise the tariff 10,000 %

        I have watched Thrive five times. Twice by myself because I wanted to see what I missed while watching with others and sharing while watching. I was able to get the “free” version before they actually released the DVD. Since then, I have purchased two DVD’S from them. A Blue Ray and a Standard because I feel I have to share this with as many folks as possible. I realize that the production must cost a fortune to make and wanted to support the effort of the producers. I’d HIGHLY recommend to purchase the DVD and show your friends, family, neighbors and any one else you can. I have even sent copies of the “free version” to folks to help them wake up. It is well worth the cost!

        I’ve been blogging on this site for over two years to tell you all this, and it seems no one seemed to care or appreciate what has happened to us. Goldman has made our government irrelevant, they want the huge tax breaks, the executives take their pay at the capital gains rate of 15%, and in so doing, don’t even pay Medicare or Social Security taxes like the rest of us citizens. Many of them manipulated the system, with the help of the congressmen and women they bought, to pay absolutely no tax at all while taking home billions. Yes, these are the guys who sold crap out the front door, leveraged against what they sold out the back door, wrecked the economy, got huge bailout funds (some say in the trillions) at no interest, and continued these shady practices. They made nothing, scooped out money as it went by, of course bought a lot of yachts/private jets/AstonMartins and McMansions, but the rest of us got screwed. These guys aren’t Steve Jobs of Apple, or Irv Jacobs of Qualcomm, or Bill Gates of MicroSoft; these are the money changers at the Temple of Greed, financial prostitutes, and that is why the 99%ers are right to be angry. The morality and viability of our nation has been ruined by the likes of the Goldmans, and we had better wake up, vote out their cronies in the House and Senate, prevent them from controlling SuperPacs ( which will require a revisit to the Supreme Court or a Constitutional Amendment outlawing corporations as people, and get the vote and control of our government back to the voters/citizens. Ask for full disclosure from your congressmen and senators regarding their association with these guys and their lobbyists. Watch out for the lies and disinformation their SuperPacs will spew in the forthcoming elections. The Tea Party, if it can free itself from the control of the Koch Brothers, and Occupy Wall Street, should join forces to stop this horror.

        The purpose of the paid Occupy Protesters is the same as blackshirts in Hitler’s and Mussolini’s days. The organizers pay a few to start fires, throw rocks, claim police brutality and turn peaceful protests into RIOTS.

        If you want to keep your freedom to Peaceful Protests, the blackshirts are easy to stop. The FBI and the Local Police follow the paid blackshirts websites and tweets. They arrest them almost immediately. If you see any of these paid blackshirts breaking the law, use your camera, video it on your phone, then send a copy immediately to the FBI and the local police. This is the best way the police and FBI can protect your right to Peaceful Protest.

        The Occupy movement is all about getting paid to camp in public places by wealthy liberal activists or organizations, violence, throwing trash around, raping, relieving yourself in police squad cars, waiting for a government handout, breaking laws, being indecent, making public parks unavailable to the public, putting local shop owners out of business, looting government buildings and being lazy. I see no message there. I only see a group successfully making everyone detest them.

        That’s the point. OWS was created to have no cause when it was originally set up as an American Arab Spring. The organizers told protesters every morning to go out and cause civil disobedience and try to claim police brutality. The organizers even wrote a free attorney’s phone number down on their arms if they did get arrested. They were the new blackshirts that were trained to turn peaceful protests into riots.

        But some good people put many causes to the OWS movement. There were End the Fed protesters and down with Goldman Sachs protesters. There were Ron Paul protesters. The normal Americans wanted to Peacefully Protest.

        But the OWS organizers were Arab Spring Organizers. They were funded to turn peaceful protests into riots. You can see this plan at work around the world. Look at Greece, Egypt, Libya, Syria, Tunisia and all the Democracies turned over to the Saudi Muslim Brotherhood through RIOTING IN THE STREETS. The blackshirts did their jobs by joining often peaceful protesters, like students wanting a democracy, and caused RIOTS.

        The plan is the same old, same old, as in Hitler’s and Mussolini’s Days.

        But it’s easy to protect the grandmother’s right to peaceful protest. Stop the blackshirts by filming any law breakers and turn the videos immediately over to the FBI and the Police.

The Fed(Big Banks) control and set interest rates and work in cahoots with the other Big Banks. Interest Rate Swaps were created and sold all over the world with this kind of a selling play “Have we got a deal for you!!! Interest rates are at near historic lows! WHAT are the chances of rates going any lower(They absolutely KNEW RATES WERE going HIGHER because they(big banks and buddies) SET THEM!!!!!! These “Thieves” (Banksters) are making RECORD PROFITS while the rest of the world is being financially raped, BY DESIGN!!!!!!!~! Oh yes!!!       Another excellent source of information about what is going on is the book “The Creature From Jekyll Island” by Edward Griffin. It tells the whole nasty story about the birth of the Fed and how the Fed and the banks have run an unbelievable scam on America since 1913. The house of cards that they have created is barely holding together…The banks have a good little game going. They make a profit, they keep it. They gamble or push their luck too far and have a loss, the taxpayers make it up. Nice, huh? We are in trouble, deep trouble….

      It was Goldman Sachs that gobbled up the failed U.S.S.R.’s valuable assets; that broke the back of California’s bonds; that crushed the entire planet’s economies in 2006 and 2007 with it derivative credit debacle; that funded the presidential campaigns of both McCain and Obama. Goldman Sachs sits atop the globe’s financial heap. Its CEO is more influential than all of the world’s 175 national leaders combined! Secretary of Treasury Tim Geithner and Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke work for and take their marching orders from Goldman Sachs. The U.S. Congress cannot pass even one bill on finances or taxes without Goldman Sachs’ approval. And who owns and runs Goldman Sachs? That would be Lord Rothschild and his clan. Yes, the Rothschilds— who sits at the helm of the world’s richest and most evil bank.

I know better than to hang out there but there was so much stupidity that needed to be addressed and I was bored. I think that all of the intelligent bloggers here should sacrifice a couple of hours every few months and blog at cnn and fox just for the purpose of a better world. Anyway, thanks again for the links. If your interested, I’ve recently watched a great vid on youtube called “old world secrets the omega project codes”. I thought it was great info about the history of the world that they don’t want us to know about.

I mean related to some royalty from Austria in the 1600′s to even further back to Rome and there is speculation by the conspiracy theorists of a connection to Zeus himself. Anyway the youtube vid I pointed out was supposedly made by someone trying to pass on the word of someone who is now dead but wanted the world to know.         It’s just human nature to feather one’s own nest. But the Leaders can do it to extreme because we’ve innocently allowed them the Power of Force, and we’ve let them grow way too Big and Powerful. The only answer is to get back to the wisdom of our Founders, especially Thomas Jefferson, and to shrink the size of Government dramatically. Government should exist mainly (if at all) to protect us from the Force and Fraud of others, and that is all. Instead we’ve allowed them to break moral and legal rules that the rest of us are expected to obey. We’ve allowed them to stick their nosy noses into our personal business and voluntary choices. We’ve allowed them to immorally distribute the legally acquired wealth of ourselves and others. And we’ve allowed them to do those things around the world.

        What we need now is someone with the cajones to bring down the Obama Administration. You know, he is not a natural born American. He is using someone elses SSN. If this can be done, all of his rules, laws, regulations and executive orders will be null and void. Sheriff Arpaio in Az is doing all that he can but fighting these powers is very hard to do.         BBJ, to think that Ayn Rand was commissioned by Rothschild to write Atlas Shrugged as a blueprint for their plans for world domination is a bit out there I’d have to say. Rand’s life has been well picked over biographically, and so have the Rothschilds’. The story would have been out decades ago if it were even plausible, let alone true. It’s been alledged that Rand was the mistress to Philippe Rothschild but I can’t seem to find any difinitive truth to that.

        Libertarians believe in TOTAL deregulation, just who would gain the most benefit by doing business any way they please? The same mega corporations. Who is going to left holding the bag – everyone else. Just look what happened this last time round with the banking crisis. Deregulation caused it and the tax payer dumped even more money into the pockets of the mega-millionaires who caused it and profited from it.

        I heard a story, second hand. I guy I used to work with, once upon a time was a karate instructor and had his own DoJo. He claims that one of his students was a Rothschild. One day he asked if he was part of the famous family and he said yes. But that he would have no part of the family because of their designs on world domination, he just did not agree with it.
        He then went on to say read Atlas Shrugged, Ayn Rand was a mistress of uncle so and so and basically picked up the story listening to the men talk.

        I know, still not proof but at least, to me, it adds a little more credibility.

        You are correct in that the Arab Spring uprising is underwritten by the Rothschild family. Their intent is to remove dictators not onboard with their world domination agenda. They want instead, democratic style politicians who are easily turnable for a buck/dollar. This sort of persuasion was off the table when dealing with the likes of Saddam Hussein, Hozni Mubarak, Muamar Ghadafi and others who feel they own the land, it’s people and all the natural resources contained within their borders.

Although I definitely don’t agree with all of the suggestions in the book, it is really useful to think about what it would take to get liberty and what we would be willing to do/sacrifice to earn it.

    10 banks in the United States own 77% of the deposits in this country after the meltdown.

    The banks, wall street and their lobbyists created the mess via deregulation. For their destruction of our econoomy what was their punishment? 2 bailouts totalling over 1T dollars, no caps on exec bonuses and salary and now they are even bigger than they were before the meltdown. Hank Paulson, Tim Geithner and Reagan’s man in the Fed are all former Goldman people.

    What should be happening now is that now that markets are calm, the US gov should be methodically breaking up all of the banks so they are no longer “too big to fail”. Is that what is happening now? No…Have any charges been filed against anyone from Goldman, BofA, Smith Barney, Citigroup from the fraud they committed? No… Why? Because if you look at the big money donors to both parties, you will see the big banks as a common thread in both parties. The GOP are bold and stupid enough to try and tell us part of the problem is too much regulation. Is that was sunk the housing market? Too much regulation? No, it was too little regulation and too little enforcement of regulations that were in place because a few people were making too much money and had their own selfish interests ahead of the good of the country.

    Vote out both parties, get people in there that will get big money out of the political process, break up thse banks and put strict regulations so they cannot defraud this country again.

      Thanks Dave67 someone who gets it with a clearer message along with the author. My wife had a few Goldman Sacs stocks and they were doing well compared to the market as a whole 3 years ago. Yet I didn’t like how they were involved in Wall Street manipulation and how they influenced Washington. I told her we need to buy with integrity and there are several other trustworthy companies. Last year she finally moved her account out of Goldman Sacs and I say good riddance. Moral decay will continue on Wall Street and Washington but it doesn’t mean we can’t try and fix it. At least in separating the two and how they control each other.

      The problem is too much regulation. The problem is that the large corporations/banks write most of the regulations to limit competition. This is what creates “too big to fail”. Then the big banks/corporations fill spots on the regulatory commissions and give donations to the politicians to insure favorable regulations. If we got rid of the regulations and the welfare state, and limited our government to the enumerated powers, there would be almost nothing for which to lobby. Free competition, instead of crony capitalism, would give the best service for the lowest price and our economy would grow. Businesses that acted immorally would be avoided and therefore go out of business. Currently government “regulation” actually encourages the bad behavior that you abhorr.

        When regulation is paid for by the big monied interests that are supposed to be regulated, that is a serious problem. Having no regulation will lead to monoplies and serious collusion in the marketplace and a decline in working conditions in this country because pandora’s box has been opened (Free trade with countries that pay their workers nothing and they do not have worker environmental protections we have).

        Gov should be acting as a neutral actor inside the country and a advocate for US businesses to other countries. Gov should act as a guard against abuses of the system from both business and whatever is left of the unions in this country.

        The real villan is the money that buys the gov. We need to get rid of that influence. What you advocate is simply not attainable or realistic in the global marketplace.

At the time of Obama’s birth, his mother was only eighteen (18), and therefore did not meet the residency requirements under the law to give her son (Obama) U.S. Citizenship. Obama could only have become a U.S. citizen if naturalized, and a naturalized citizen is not qualified and/or eligible to run for the office of President of the United States. U.S. Constitution, Article II, Section I.

        Sure Flashy errr Dave67…whatever you say. …once again, Obama is not a “natural born” citizen and therefore is not eligable to be POTUS…When Obama was born he was not a “natural born citizen” since both parents of a child must be citizens at the time of birth of the child in order for the child to be a “natural born” citizen. In addition to the requirement as to the parents citizenship status, the child must also be born in the USA. Obama may be a “born citizen” depending on the evidence in Hawaii. But “born” is NOT synonymous with “natural born”.

        One more time…Both parents must be citizens at the time of birth of the child in the USA for the child to be a “natural born citizen” per our Constitution’s framers intent and the “natural law”, as codified by Vattel in 1758 in his legal reference treatise, “The Law of Nations or Principles of Natural Law”. The “divided loyalties” concerns of the framers of a person who is selected to serve as our President and Commander-in-Chief of our military comes into play. Thus the framers required a “natural born” citizen only mandate in the U.S. Constitution for the Office of President and Commander-in-Chief of our military.

The 1903 treaty between the US and the Republic of Panama creating the Panama Canal Zone did not cede territory to the US, it only granted certain perpetual rights under what was basically a lease.         “Natural born citizenship” is defined in the 250 year old scholarly book, “Law of Nations or Principles of Natural Law”, written in 1758, decades before our Constitution and was used as a scholarly reference by our U.S. Constitution’s framers. Some excerpts, “… natural-born citizens, are those born in the country, of parents who are citizens. … I say, that, in order to be of the country, it is necessary that a person be born of a father who is a citizen; for, if he is born there of a foreigner, it will be only the place of his birth, and not his country”.

        The Supreme Court of the United States has ruled in 4 cases which speak of the notion of “natural born citizenship”. Each of these 4 cases will cite or apply the definition of this term, as given in a book entitled, The Law of Nations, written by Emmerich de Vattel.

        When Obama wrote his first book he titled it “Dreams from My Father”. He wrote of his father in Kenya and how his father hoped and dreamed of changing the Kenyan government and the world to Socialism and Marxism. How prophetic Vattel’s words are in describing natural law and the propensity of man to identify with the land of their father. Obama did not write “Dreams from My Mother” and of America for his source of inspiration, dreams, and aspirations. Obama wrote of his father and his father’s Kenyan goals for Socialism and Marxism as his inspiration and his dreams of what he wanted to accomplish in America and for the world.

We must still have the courts remove him for fraud. two of the rules of law concerning fraud are 1. there ios no statute of limitations on fraud. Obama can be prosecuted long after he leaves office. 2. when fraud is commited it is fraud (ab initio) from the beginning. basically this means that when fraud has been commited any thing that happens after the initial fraud is automatically null and void (fraudulent) as it was based on the initial fraud. every thing he signed or did will be overturned. if he is empeached it will give Obama the appearance of being legitament.

        Dave, I know you mean well, and wouldn’t it be wonderful if there was a God to handle all of our problems. In my eighty years of living, I have been ripped off by more “God fearing”
        people than atheists. My bet is that all the greedy crooks go to some kind of religious service…contribute to their church, synagogue or Mosque and during the rest of the time they do business “as usual.” The best part of the way you feel is that being religious is good for YOUR body and mind–if you are inclined toward kindness, not wrath. Being religious–Mother Theresa style–is healthy physiologically and can give you positive ani-stress benefits. I think Bob Livingston–a lifelong health expert–could concur with that. As for GOD being the solution, you need to be a little careful about your view there. I have read a lot about the “neurobiology of religious terrorism.” and if you check on it you will find that most of the religious terrorists–whether Christian, Jewish or Muslim–feel that GOD is inside of them…approving and instructing them to do what they do. That is why they all can kill the innocent along with the guilty. They feel confident…lead by God…they
        are doing the right thing.

We have learned that all the greedy, the crooks and their associates have “strategies” for their financial success…whether it be lobbys, payoffs, parties, false advertising, spinning, cheating, lying, hiding information, controlling media…whatever. They go out of their way to see that their fellow man has equal rights and that the playing field is leveled for all to have equal Opportunity.So you are very wrong on that account. Are there those who are extreme and think the government is their sugar daddy with an endless pocketbook. You are correct from that angle. There are also oodles of Capitalists on Wall Street and on Main street who will also take free money from you and exploit the economy and even the government itself. I don’t see many saints in that bunch anymore and Goldman Sacs may or may not be leading that charge. There are way too many opportunists anymore to know who is shafting whom. I see immorality on both sides of the economic and social scheme of things so laying it all on Progressives is shallow and insincere. I was a teacher in public and private “special” schools, a committeewoman for years, chairman of the League of women voters and a Health Education Director of a YWCA. I am 8O years old. After losing a lot of my investments in
    the “downturn,” getting ripped off by insurance companies–not getting long term care for a sick husband (who died) and not getting insurance after he paid into it for 46 years (was too sick to make the last huge pavement)…I AM AS ANGRY AND YOU CAN GET! I put together a Facebook web site to tell others to BE ALERT, PAY ATTENTION AND FIND WAYS TO SAVE THEMSELVES. I am not too smart at the social marketing stuff and see that it has limited range. It really “bugs” me that so many self serving men and women from Wall Street, politicians and some business people are so, so greedy…not caring how so many are suffering. The only solution I can see is that we all have to continue putting their names “out there”… but that has it’s dangers too. Like the current political campaign–which is a complete garbage dump–some nasty people can put out false information on some people. And to think…my whole life, I was brought up with the idea that “justice will triumph.” UGH! I am giving people ideas online that I had never thought about my whole live…like ditching our good ole USA for other shores. Maybe…with the new patriot act…I will be considered a threat. Can’t you see them dragging this little old lady with white hair to Guantanamo. It is conceivable…with the way things are going these days…..

    It’s just the way it goes, and I (as an American taxpayer) always wonder what makes Americans think they are an exception to a many thousand year old rule. Only a nation that is only 7 generations old can indulge itself in the belief that it can get away without applying the solutions that have been carefully crafted in Europe over 2000 or 3000 years:

    - Chop off their heads, burn down their castles, distribute their wealth, move on for 3-6 generations, repeat. (old-fashioned approach).

    - Modern approach: Nip it in the buds by taxation of all income that isn’t income from work at 50-60% and build schools and public infrastructure with that money, that was earned by the people.

      This feeling of American that they are exceptional and the believe that Americans are better then all others and that laws of civilizations (and for that mater the laws of the rest of the world) don’t apply to us is the direct result of the outcome of the second world war and part of a deliberate deception of the American public. It did helped people trough the psychological strain of the cold war, but it also has resulted in an apathy and short sightedness of the American public. They believe that they are invincible and that the rest of the world is inferior in all aspect. Everything American is the first, best, greatest and strongest, totally ignoring reality and the signs of self destruction of this country. Rome felt the same way, they though they where invincible, gods to others and the rest of the world where barbarians.. They ignored the signs that others had advanced past them and that actually there where civilizations out there that where more advanced then them, and thus they fell… It will be the natural outcome for this country, unless people are waking up from they’re government induced stupor. And I do not see any signs of that happening.

      European American Taxpayer, I like what you said until you got to the part about wealth redistribution. Chopping off their heads might be the right thing to do because they are too dangerous to leave alive but, wealth redistribution doesn’t work. Is the average person in Europe better off than the average American after having done some of that? I don’t know because I’ve never been there so I’m really asking a question I need answered. My suspicions are that they aren’t any better off over there and wealth redistribution didn’t really work there. It seems to me that all of this chopping off of heads and so on won’t really fix anything in the long run. People have to learn the hard way and the only thing people really value is what they work for and that’s what made the peasants made enough to revolt in the first place: all of their hard earned wealth was being stolen without even a thank you.

    I have mentioned this because I see an increasing number of pundits who advocate money printing as the only solution to the problem of bank insolvencies.

The sad thing is that as an individual, besides voting for Ron Paul ( i refuse to vote for any other status quo goldman sachs puppet ), I dont see much I can do about this global situation other than prepare for the worst and do my best to inform the ignorant and brainwashed about the reality of the situation. I’m planning for the inevitable social and economic meltdown as much as I can given a limited budget…After losing my home due to drastic wage decreases for both my wife and I, we’re getting lean and mean. No more debts, cash on hand, buying silver, guns,ammo, food stocks. People call me paranoid or reactionary, but I read the writing on the wall, and there’s no happy ending.

        Thanks DaveH! In looking back on it now, I am actually glad it happened. The ordeal opened my eyes to the true nature of the banking system, and how I was a debt slave. Now I have no debts, no expensive homeowners insurance or property taxes, no HOA fees, mobility, cash on hand and one less thing tying me down. I do look forward to being able to purchase land and build a home, but I will only do it when I have the money on hand outright to do so, and if that will be in America is still up in the air. i fear for the future of this country, given its present state and the apathy of the general populace.

      I had to learn the same lesson you did: make do with what you have. I still owe but, can’t pay and the debts I owe are government debts so there is no way out of those unless I pay them or die. I don’t live in fear but, I know that I’ll be one of the first to get hauled in when the people decide that the government must be paid. Until then I’ll just keep making do with what I have. Your 1000 shares do not amount to a hill of beans in the decision making process of a Corporation.

    A Corporation was created in the first place so people could get out of being held personally responsibile for the things a company does.

    Gov, we either hold people accountable or we allow a small group to manipulate the entire nation for their agenda which for the past 30 years especially has been the corporate agenda.

        Let me help you out. Scenario 1: Retail

        Company one is really successful. They deal with suppliers worldwide with products people want. They are the market leader in sales. They have enough buying power to negotiate with those other manufacturers to gain low prices they buy at and sell at to drive other competitors out of the marketplace

        Scenario 2: Auto

        4 Companies are in the business of making cars. Company one is the market leader in pickup trucks but wants to expand into higher mileage small cars. They can either, build their product from the ground up or at a less expensive cost buy company two that is the market leader in small cars with thier marketing, dealership network and production in place. Company 3 and 4 see this as a threat to their business so they make a deal to merge. Is that a unreasonable scenario? No…

        Scenario 3: Energy

        4 companies are in the business oil exploration and refining. They work with the auto industry to ensure that the country needs to run on their product so consumers have no choice but to use their finite resource. They communicate with each other and foriegn suppliers to set pricing for their product since they have figured out a delta in which they can max profit without any price wars.

        You deal in the theoretical… I deal in reality. Your links, while cute propaganda do not cut it in the real world. BTW, I can talk about energy because I worked Mobil Oil’
        s corp HQ in Fairfax VA before it merged with Exxon. I know what occurs there first hand.

        No, that is how I know what goes on in this industry. Personal experience. That is one example of several.

        Telecommunication is just one sector where it is obvious, that without BIG (and I mean BIG, BIG GOVERNMENT) there is no way they CAN’T make us buy their products.

        In Europe, where the telecom markets have been a governmoent monopoly for decades with bureaucrats running the show, and now a closely monitored “market” where the bureaucrats set the rules and keep the markets open, TV is free, broadband internet costs something between 9.99 and 19.99 (depending on the bandwidth) and a cell phone flat rate including data costs about 10 Euro/month ($13).

        That’s what you get with BIG, BIG government and high taxes: Competition even in mature markets.

        Without BIG, BIG government and at least as many bureaucrats as they (the companies) can afford to have lawyers, you get a monopoly.

        Everywhere. Always. That’s why I fear companies, I only have to compare my US cell phone contract to my European cell phone contract and I know this fear is real. Not even to talk about my health care, that costs me roughly 4x more than in Europe, because hospitals are companies (as are the insurance companies with all their lawyers and their fine-print no one regulates).

    Loads of very good discourse… unspeakable information amounting to highest crimes against corruption! WOW! Dip into the detail. The contract with America ended anti-trust and predatory pricing laws. An endless cycle of consolidations, acquisitions, mergers, fund managers, mutual funds, and of course, interlocking directorships etc. took off in the early 1990’s. Buying “market share” ranged from vulture capitalism to predatory capitalism, which enabled monopolist concentration of wealth and power, which in turn, enabled the gutting of American productive infrastructure. Instead of individual stockholders we now have fund managers operating in pyramids of operating and financial control… holding companies within holding companies, ad infinitum… global monopolies are in control of finance and government. And… the American named giants moved their capital and infrastructure to slave nations (China), wherein process and labor costs became pennies on the dollar, plus huge non taxable profits blossomed as foreign sales to domestic trading segments move the same old “made elsewhere” US goods to the US. And here we are, a nation of part time bar code scanners, aspiring to become college graduates in community welfare, teaching, and politics. It gets back to supply and demand… a huge supply of useful idiots and nothing for anyone to do… sitting atop endless resources, recorded wisdom, innate talent, and the finest Constitutional guarantees… waiting for something to happen.

    Something is happening! Society is collapsing! Government is at war with the Ten Commandments, but no one can name one that is evil, or name one that doesn’t benefit themselves. God’s Covenants and our Constitution protect society and individuals. Reaping what one sows is self inflicted… good, bad, or otherwise!

    Freedom depends on free supply and demand. A president that unilaterally bans domestic free use of national resources that are freely provided by international monopolists at confiscatory prices must be charged with treason (economic destruction of our country)! Congress can and must do that! Solutions begin with tough anti-trust laws and ending corruption!

    I saw this coming a long time ago. I bean to prepare for the eventual but was not fast enough. The main problem is that the vast majority of wealth is concentrated in the midst of the very few at the top. All else are left to scramble and scuffle for a small share of what is left after the rich get their enormous shares of wealth. People need to wake up to that which is going on and has been for a long time now. They need to take back the government and demand a change in the corrupt dysfunctional system now in place. It may be too late now already. We have been in a depression for a long time now. Since our monies are no longer worth anything more was printed and distributed so as to call this depression a recession instead of the real thing. Eventually, there is going to be a total collapse like in the 30s where many of the rich committed suicide to avoid being poor and having to compete on a level playing field. If things continue as they are and have been going for some time now this is the inevitable outcome. The wealth of the few at the top has risen by 300% while income of the vast majority has only gone up a mere 18% during the last two decades. In the process, the so-called middle class has dwindled to the point of nonexistence for all practical purpose. What good is it to have all of the money in the world if it becomes worthless? At that point one must be able to resort to living off the land like I was told that my grandparents did during “The Great Depression” and wait for better times to come along. I was told and, learned, from this as a young child. Wealth distribution is and always has been unfair amongst mankind. Instead of learning from the past and changing, people continually engage in the mistakes of the past. Gadafi made the mistake of demanding gold instead of dollars and euros (which he saw as being worthless) in exchange for Libyan oil. You see what happened to him as a result. The major problem in this world is that some make way too much for doing little of nothing while the majority tend to receive too little for working in actuality. Bush II made the mistake of giving money to big banks. Then, came the lying A**hole Bush III (Obama) who chose to follow this failed policy and take it to a higher level at the expense of those that were the most vulnerable. All that I can give credit to Bush II is that he did give the lower rung of us a bit of chump change in his process. Obama needs to go along with the incumbents in congress and get replaced by real regular people in order to deal with this mess that is now upon us in a realistic manner. This problem began with Reagan’s “trickle down” policy which keeps being revisited. This a flawed ideology that will never work. I did not ever vote for any of the aforementioned three presidential phonies and will not vote for the one in office now for reelection this time around. Before people begin to cut me down for making that statement, let it be known that I am a sixty-three year old black man. I saw a major flaw in his character during his supposed racial speech that steered me away from him. I was criticized by some for not voting for him just because he is supposed to be black like me. I must say that he turned out to be ten times worse than I expected. Furthermore; some of the very people that felt that I was wrong lost their jobs shortly after he took over. Good for them. They got what they deserved for being so foolish. This guy in office now should have gone the opposite rout of the one he took. I know of a song by Bachman Turner Overdrive entitled “You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet”. I am afraid that Obama will be reelected, unfortunately, along with most of those up for reelection. If this occurs, that song will have new meaning in my opinion. One other song comes to mind in the event that this happens.
    Santana had a song entitled “I Ain’t Got Nobody”. Check these two songs out if you can find them. You may, then, understand what is to come and what you will need to do in order to avoid being one of the many that will perish in the coming years. Good luck.

        it was long before Obama that America went belly up. I thank every day Ronald Reagan for removing the American middle class. I came to this country 6 years ago with nothing but my European education: I right away earned enough to not being anymore “middle class” (by the numbers, but I am still at heart), I now own already several houses I rent out to what was American middle class before Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush: They just get by and are even thankful to be able to give me most of their income because I at least give them housing that is not as bad as what the “investors” (the speculants!) are renting out.

        Obama can’t turn this around. It’s a done deal, we Europeans out-educated you, and this you can’t fix in less than 2 or 3 generations.

      6charles, you’re right about many things. The only real exception is when this all got it’s start. You can follow this trail easily back to the 1200′s and much much farther if you know where to look. There have been some good leaders but, probably more bad ones than good. Reagan, like most politicians, are only the puppets that you see controlled by the puppet masters behind the scenes. Any really great men operate that way. They don’t care a thing about revealing themselves publicly and therefore we the people are distracted by the show. Clinton, to a degree, utilized this very effectively. These politicians pay a price for being public but garner great rewards for doing. This whole system has to melt down before something better can take it’s place. Most people won’t change unless forced to by circumstances that they view to be out of their control.
      The good news? Something better is waiting for it’s day. But, it can’t happen until mankind conquers it’s fears and greed.

This indicates to me that many more would rather not be accountable to the highest moral authority for what they do.     Some good ideas and a few bad ones here. It is true that some of the big banks like GS have created or helped to create a network of central banks. It’s also true that central banks are anathema to a free market and are not part of a free market. So why do they exist? Obviously, not too many people understand the concept of a free market.

    We have to step back and ask what is a free market supposed to be free from? To make a long story short, it’s supposed to be free from initiatory force by man against man. To achieve this there has to be a complete separation of state and economics. The government’s only role is to be a policeman patrolling the market with his legal monopoly of the use of retaliatory force only. He’s there to protect rights only. He’s not there to tell citizens what kind of a medium of exchange to use, not to control it but only to protect contracts among citizens.

    It doesn’t take much thought to see that the establishment of a central bank violates the rights of citizens to contract with each other regarding the exchange of value for value. But it is a mistake to lay the onus of blame for what is happening squarely on the shoulders of GS and other banks. Sure, they are guilty of manipulating the supply and thus the value of money. But the onus lies with those who control the use of force and gave legal sanction to the schemes and desires of the banks.

    If banks buy or bribe governments to get favored treatment, who carries the most blame, the bribee or the bribor? Our laws already recognize that the one taking the bribe is most guilty.

    But instead of calling for the government to get out of the market, people will blame the money men as they have wrongly done for centuries. The powers that be will put a few of them to the sword, the brain dead people will cheer, the government promises more over sight and things will go back to the way they were. The people in power will stay in power.

Let each country determine for themselves what is an acceptable level of government interference in their economy. As for us, we need only look to our Constitution to understand what is the primary function of government. The function, and purpose for our government; is to uphold the laws of the Constitution, preserve freedom and rights for citizens, and ensure adequate defense of country, nothing more. As to the economy, and its relationship to it, government involvement must be restricted to ensuring the economy flourishes without impediment, rather than its demise; which the present, illegal, maniacal potus, seems so determined to accomplish! But to be fair, he’s only a bought and paid, puppet! We have a mind and hands to work with and that’s what we need to be doing is working. Sometimes we have to pull the trigger with the finger that is attached to our hand. Just be willing to do it though cause it’s a royal pain when somebody takes your own firearm from you and shoots you with it. I know someone this happened to.

        You are correct with Gov help, the banks paided the lobbyists to lobby congress to relax the credit rules and banking rules, the banks make a ton of money for a while, when the bubble burst, they paid congress again to do their bidding, this time with bailouts with no strings on exec compensation, bonuses or any wording in the bailout agreement forcing them to take that TARP money and use it for lending. Hank Paulson, Tim Gaithner, Ben Bernenke and Allan Greenspan are all former Goldman employees. The problem is not the GOV. Its the big money and influence peddling that the wealthy and these big corp interests are allowed get away with.

        Big money should be outlawed. No person or group should be allowed give more than $100 to any candidate or party. PAC’s should also be outlawed (I know it violates the 1st Amendment, but the damage from all this money in the political process is worse for the country.)

        You think the Gov is the boogeyman. I do not believe that. Its the money and influence by big monied interests that are the real problem. One day when you open your eyes, you may just see that.

    Today is Presidents Day (or, as we used to call it, Lincoln’s Birthday). That makes it a good time to talk about one of the great anomalies in Presidential history: the fact that President Abraham Lincoln, our Commander in Chief during our bloodiest war, took the time to review over 1,600 cases of military convictions during his 1,503 days in office, and that Lincoln pardoned a myriad of soldiers condemned to death.

    The test that Lincoln applied, as Lincoln himself put it, was “whether this soldier can better serve the country dead than living.” (This is a good example of “gallows humor,” with real gallows.)

    In one case of desertion, President Lincoln said: “If a man had more than one life, I think a little hanging would not hurt this one; but after he is once dead we cannot bring him back, no matter how sorry we may be; so the boy shall be pardoned.”

    In another case, the soldier’s father went to the White House to beg for mercy for him. President Lincoln, who had never met the father before, greeted him as “my old friend.” Lincoln listened to the father, and then wrote out on a piece of paper: “Job Smith is not to be shot until further orders from me – ABRAHAM LINCOLN.” The father started to cry, but he asked Lincoln why he had phrased it this way. Lincoln said: “If your son never looks on death till further orders come from me to shoot him, he will live to be a great deal older than Methuselah.”

    Lincoln refused to release a slave trader from prison, however, despite a personal appeal from an influential Congressman. “If this man were guilty of the foulest murder that the arm of man could perpetrate, I might forgive him on such an appeal; but the man who could go to Africa, and rob her of her children, and sell them into interminable bondage, with no other motive that that which is furnished by dollars and cents, is so much worse than the most depraved murderer, that he can never receive a pardon at my hands. No!”

    Yet time after time, President Lincoln pardoned soldiers who had been sentenced to death for sleeping during sentry duty, desertion, and even treason. Lincoln called the desertion convictions his “leg cases”: “If Almighty God gives a man a cowardly pair of legs, how can he help their running away with him?”

    And why did Lincoln show this mercy? Because over 600,000 people died during the Civil War, more than one out of every 50 Americans. And Lincoln thought that that was more than enough death. As journalist David Locke said: “No man on earth hated blood as Lincoln did.”

    When Marc Faber and I worked at White Weld & Co, (1970′s) we looked down at Goldman Sachs as “white shoe” wannabees. The one thing you learn the first day at any of those large investment banks is that the firm does not make money by predicting which way the markets will go and then taking positions to profit from it, rather the firm makes money by taking positions and then causing the markets to move in ways that makes those positions profitable.

    While it is true that Goldman Sachs triggered the sub-prime mortgage-backed securities collapse after they had taken positions in credit-default swaps to profit from the collapse, they only sped up up what was going to happen anyway. Does anyone really think that housing prices would still be increasing at a 10% annual rate today if Goldman Sachs had not pulled the plug? The housing market would have collapsed sooner or later. Goldman Sachs creation of the Freemont issue that triggered the collapse just made it likely to happen before their credit default swaps expired. It was not a sure thing and plenty of money was lost by prematurely shorting the housing market.

      I understand what you’re saying very easily. As so do many other posters on this site.
      In a nutshell it is basic, unadulterated Socialism. Which, from it being as it honestly is, as said many times, is the first step towards full Communism. Once this has been achieved by the 1% elites the common question to then ask is – Are we happy yet?

    Goldman-Sachs was NOT shorting housing stocks. They were LONG and lost their shirts with the rest of the nation. In fact, GS stock tanked more than housing.

    If they were shorting, their value would have gone UP – not down! Figure it out. Everyone short on housing made oodles of money. Why should GS be different and lose $1.2 billion on housing?

    One fairly reliable source said they were short and long:

    And they maintain that Goldman was scapegoated. I agree. Goldman, like the Jewish name they have, is being scapegoated.

    If they were short like hedgie Paulson’s funds that made ten times over his investment, GS would have become much wealthier during the crash. They did not. get wealthy – they have landed in the poorhouse.

    IN FACT, STUPIDITY, UNLIKE INTELLIGENCE, HAS NO LIMITS! So much for Alex Jones, Prison Planet, and Bob Livingstone.

    Here’s the chart of Goldman stock that lost 80% of its former value in 2009 – and as it sits there today:

    Housing, on the other hand, lost between 20-30%. There is your evidence whether GS was short or long housing. And the fact that GS suffered three times as much as housing!

    By the way, Goldman was bailed out with insurance they had placed on their bad bets with AIG, a Brit subsidiary of the American company whom we had bailed out to the tune of many times more dollars than what GS was bailed out with. And then Warren Buffett stepped in to buttress the sinking investment bank.

    The bottom line is that the facts disprove the conspiracy theories from people who are making money deceiving you.

    Exceptionally good comments herein, but we need to focus on damage control, loss, and priority! Loss requires knowing what should be there. We must elect legislators who will prosecute looters (the rest are corrupted)!

    SWAG an example SSI-MED @15.3% up to $106,800, work 49yr (18/end of 67) & 10yr annuity age 68/78@ 5% compounded monthly. A $40,000 avg. @15.3% wage yields $1,289,000 on 68th birthday or $13,670/mo for 10 yrs. The $106,800 wage @ 15.3% max SSI yields $3,441,000 at age 68 or $36,499/mo.! The math (simple annuity) roughly tells us what should be there and the profound fact that SSI-MED is grossly overfunded by workers. Fact 2, paying benefits with “general fund” money says there is no viable fund and bankruptcy is confirmed by $60+ trillion “unfunded debt” on top of the $15++ trillion recognized debt! (Definition – “unfunded”!) Didn’t pay enough in the system leads to progressive inflation devaluing the dollar to 13 cents by 745% inflation since 1962 – a heinous scam! A zero FED rate coupled with potential runaway inflation/devaluation dooms any annuity (retirement fund)! That brings us to the treasury & Fed plus the global banks that use those funds compounded by the currency and bond printers… Your money (capital) isn’t worth 5%? Zero says capital is worthless… kaput, just like Marx. That gets into hundreds of trillions that “disappeared”!

    Project your earnings & SSI-Med contributions out 49 years & compare it to what SSI-MED says your retirement would be today. Don’t underestimate the power of the pen & word of mouth. Get mad & pass it on, call liars what they are.


    The connection between Goldman Sachs and N.M. Rothschild is: they are competitors in the M&A market. The commenters claiming Rothschild controls G-S are parroting anti-semitic propaganda. It doesn’t check out.
    Lord Rothschild recently took a beating on his coal mining venture and may be booted off his own Board by the Indonesian investors.

    Rothschilds, Bank of England, Vatican Bank,and Masons ( and in that order) to those responsible for the mess we are in BUT I disagree that they will suffer anything close to what the 99 percent will suffer.

    They have never in the past and i dont see anything to convince me they will suffer in the coming collapse.In fact they will end up owning MOST of the Western worlds assets bought at the bottom of the collapse with the money they have received by fraud and governments privelege, thanks to “money printing” and debt money ….and they WILL collect !

    Only the “front persons” will pay the price of their crimes…..think individuals like Madoff.

    It is always so funny how conservatives will automatically put their blinders on and try to out shout with their red herrings against anyone with a different view. the point of the article that is missed is that the 1% of the elite are bought by and subsidized by the goldman sachs etal. for their ‘profits’ who in turn buy and subsidize all of the republicans in government on the federal, state, and local levels. those citing president obama as the corrupt one will never look past their noses in that all of the financial, banking, and corporations that corrupt the process now, the easiest example is how the financial industry bought the citizens united ruling that now allows one with a lot of money to carpet bomb mass ads to help buy the election for those bought by the elite 1%

    The essential element here is that the Cabalistic Jewish bankers and their minions take the place of God. They define reality and morality, turning them upside down. They enjoy a worldwide political, economic and cultural monopoly institutionalized in a world government.

    This is achieved by a dialectical process of pitting apparent opposites against each other and achieving a synthesis which resembles this monolithic monopoly.

    The “Occupy Wall Street” protests are designed to facilitate the “redistribution” of wealth. However this wealth will not go to the intended recipients but to the State, which “owes” the bankers trillions.

    Socialism/Communism have always been gambits to transfer wealth to members of the club. Castro and Hugo Chavez are both worth a billion dollars. Meanwhile, everyone else works cheaply for the “common good.”

      Simply a wonderful response by you, Jay! One of the Candidates during the debate last night made just such a comment as the person to whom you were responding, and I literally SCREAMED at the TV many of the same thoughts you’ve expressed so well.
