One hundred years ago, the United States declared the second Sunday in May to be Mother’s Day. This year, Mother’s Day falls on May 11 — that’s this Sunday, just in case you didn’t know. Across the country, sons and daughters will express their appreciation to the women who brought them into this world (and can take them right back out!).
