Financial Industry: Russian Thugs Targeting Online Banking

Lawmakers have been itching to implement far-reaching government Internet controls in the United States for a long time. Now, the Nation’s financial services industry is giving them the boogeyman they need: warnings of a potential threat that Russian “cyber-gangsters” are preparing to rob American banks and their costumers of millions of dollars in the coming year.

Last week the Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC), an organization that keeps the financial sector abreast of terror and online threats, issued a warning to financial institutions throughout the nation about the most recent threat to Americans’ money online. The organization indicated that a cyber-criminal with the moniker “Thief-in-Law”—loosely translated from the Russian “vorVzakone”— has set into place a system that will allow him to steal the bank account data of hundreds of unwitting Americans.

“FS-ISAC has sent out several notices warning about this gentleman,” Douglas Johnson, vice president for risk management at the American Bankers Association, told The Washington Times.

Experts at the computer security firm MacAfee assert that “Thief-in-Law” and others like him are likely in the process of infecting American computers with malicious software capable of clandestine collection of passwords and other login information that would grant them access to bank accounts.

The plan, dubbed “Project Blitzkrieg,” is described as an active operation; security experts say they detected up to 500 computers with the malicious software in October and as many as 120 more in November.

According to FS-ISAC, the thieves are mostly targeting customers of investment banks, where large balances are more likely.

This is no surprise since Russians have infiltrated our nation before to bring their way of life to us. In parts of our country the Russians are the new Mafia in extracting protection money, human trafficking and developing the drug trade. The Italians were put out of business and the Russians moved in. Now lets not strictly focus on the Russians because the Nigerians have also been doing this for decades (banking schemes) so this is an International problem involving many countries. .

Here is my view on the Money Racket incorporated by the Bankers themselves. Is your name on that piece of paper (Federal Reserve Note) you hold in your hand? NO? Who is the owner of that then? The Fed, of course. Most of our so-called money is now electronic credits in an electronic account, HELD BY THE BANKERS. Bankers control everything now including your identification in all respects. What you think is yours in that Banker’s Held account is not controlled by you totally. You gave that control away when you SIGNED the contract to open the account.

So when it comes to the Russians wanting to take your protected money then get onto your Banker to protect it for you, as they are in control of who has access to any account under their thumb. If you go insolvent because of outside threats, then your banker allowed it without your permission. The Banker breached the Contract you signed with them! Do something about it and lay it all back on your banker for them to control!

You want the banks to be accountable? LOL! Wachovia and HSBC were involved in laundering drug money and would probably work with the Russians.

eddie47d thanks for your comment. Sounds like you are still trapped in the monetary system of the Bankers and can’t get out. So, if the Bankers collapse, so do you! What are your plans when you are destitute and bankrupt? Have you got a backup plan? Gold and Silver? Those are Bankers schemes too. The Bankers will control all of that too. Better find some other system to go to really. Probably your own would be a better choice really! That way YOU control what you have instead of giving it all away for them to control FOR YOU! You need to take responsibility for your own value and stop depending on someone else to put a value on you for you! Let them decide for you, and you are still a slave to them!

  • Tired of it!

As always, here we have another instance of an organization that wishes to use fear to promote an idea or an agenda. Is this just going to be a semi-effective coverup for the BIG BOYS on wall street and in the Banks to steal the rest of the hard won savings of American working class folks? Especially since we have had a Court hand down a decision that banks and/or investment houses are no longer responsible if they lose your money?

We need a good house cleaning all around this country both in finance, politics and most other aspects of American life so we can get back to the principles that made this once great nation what it was.
