Federal Judge Blocks Two Parts Of Tough Immigration Law

The Atlanta-based Federal appeals court has delayed two of the controversial measures put into place under what has been called one of the strictest pieces of immigration legislation in the United States.

The 11th Circuit Court of Appeals on Friday temporarily blocked provisions in Alabama immigration legislation, which the State’s legislature passed over the summer, that would require individuals living in the State illegally to obtain an alien registration card and another that required school officials to check the immigration status of students.

The new orders represent a partial victory for those against the immigration law. The court opted to uphold provisions in the law requiring police to attempt to determine immigration status during traffic stops, making it illegal for aliens to enter business transactions — including applying for driver licenses and business licenses — and barring State courts from enforcing contracts involving anyone who is in the State illegally, according to CNN.

The Administration of Barack Obama says the Constitution does not permit States to deter illegal immigration, saying an issue with foreign policy implications is the exclusive mandate of the Federal government. The Department of Justice has joined forces with the American Civil Liberties Union, the Southern Poverty Law Center and the National Immigration Law Center in lawsuits against the Alabama immigration law.

Alabama Governor Robert Bentley has said that the legislation would not have been necessary “if the Federal government would have done its job and enforced the laws dealing with this problem.”

Let’s get one thing clear, to oppose illegal immigration is political suicide for both parties, Democrats & Republicans! So what they do is pass phony baloney bills , to make it look like they are “tough” about illegals, that easily get struck down by the judiciary..

So everyone, just learn Spanish ! You are going to need it. Watch the “old American” culture being ERASED/replaced by the illegal immigrants…

Hey, we had it coming – our comuppance !! If we didn’t have all those abortions their wouldn’t be a need for illegal labor ! You can’t fight cause and effect ! The moral law in nature can be a mean punisher …

Look at the bright side, many of those illegal immigrnats are just trying to escape from all the violent deadly crime in their home towns … so the court is doing some good….

So, is this court in the habit of being in bed with an administration that willingly interferes with a state’s attempt to compensate for a corrupt prez? I noticed that the DoJ has ‘teamed up’ with various worthless groups, including the ACLU. You’re telegraphing your real intent, Mr. Prez.
That by itself is enough to make anybody suspicious. If the current prez had enough character/backbone to SEAL the borders, he wouldn’t be meeting with so much friction. However, he has NO character/backbone. Enjoy the ride, Mr. Prez. What a convenient time for your half-assed AG to be in trouble with Congress over his memory problem(s).
Mr. Prez, when you picked Holder over the rest of the usual suspects, the DUMBEST thing you could was to pick someone who identifies with convicted felons over and above the American people. A loser working for another loser. What a legacy.
Is it any wonder that more and more Americans are sick and tired of this herd of criminals and wannabe criminals?

Ever notice that it’s always the parts of an immigration bill that cost the taxpayer money that the courts put a stay on? Like that free education that the property tax payers pay for!!! Even if you figure the rent portion that the renters pay for taxes, in complexes that only comes to a small portion per renter that the ba$tards pay!!
