Father Of Fallen Marine Disgusted With Obama’s Letter

October 10, 2012 by

Father Of Fallen Marine Disgusted With Obama’s Letter

A Texas man is upset after he received a letter of condolence from President Barack Obama following the passing of his son, a Marine. Tom Logan of Willis, Texas, received a form letter signed by the President. Logan expected more.

“You can’t send another letter,” Logan said. “You can’t make it right.”

The same letter has been sent to other families. The name, rank and service branch of the fallen soldier is changed.

University of Houston Professor and Historian Nancy Beck Young told that each President has approached the task differently.

“I would agree, this is a personal sacrifice and an impersonal condolence,” Young noted.

Young said that former President George W. Bush wrote handwritten letters at times.

“Where are the representatives of our government? Where is the honor and the respect that all of these soldiers deserve?” Logan asked.

The White House has not responded to the complaint.

Logan’s son, Cpl. Joseph D. Logan, was killed on Jan. 19 in a helicopter crash.

If he’s waiting for honor and respect for his son and other soldiers from the current regime, he’ll be waiting until hell freezes over. Obama doesn’t have any respect for our military nor the people who serve in it. The left believes that people who enter the military and put their lives on the line for their country are stupid. Some on the left have even gone so far as to call people who serve in our military unpatriotic.

    • Vigilant

As recently as this morning, KG said on another thread ( the following about my military service:

“Face it , Mr. Viligant, you are no better than all of those “welfare queens” you guys complain about. A person in the military who is anti-government should NOT be in the military.

“I saw a brand new GMC pickup in the WalMart parking lot that had a sticker that said “USAIRFORCE-RETIRED”, and then right next to it was a “Don’t tread on me” TP sticker. And i thought to myself “There is a guy who benefited from the Government his whole life, and now he wants to destroy it. What a stupid SOB.”

That’s the kind of ungrateful mindset that’s all too typical of the left.

      • Deerinwater

I see a lot of that here in Texas Vigilant. A mass of personal confusion that people attempt to spread. Saying one thing and doing something else. ~ God fearing conservative American rednecks driving their shinny extended cab Tundra around and complaint about how sorry Lockhead is to work for , out on strike and clocking bar stool time.

Some Americans are just spoiled rotten and have had it far too easy, far too long to understand what others must contend with paying the bills and raising families.

I was once a solider but being one really didn’t offer me special insights into politics and ideologies. My objective was always a simple one ~ come home with all my original issued parts and since I joined up ~ I blamed no one for failing.

thats one reason i don’t belive they can get the army to kill us. most military people love america as it has all ways been not like obama wants to make it. an if we have to put america back on track our selfs then they will be asked to kill us. i don’t think they will do that.

      • Cliffystones

I think joining with Tea Party is the most patriotic thing the Retired Serviceman could have done. What I don’t get is why he would buy a Gubmint Motors truck?

      • retired soldier

Not ungrateful! This veteran served a country that had a constitution worth supporting and defending. That has changed with the introduction of a totally radically changed and overpopulated metropolis style society. This veteran enlisted in America and it is no longer recognized by those who once served her. Not ungrateful, just heart broken

      • Kate 8

The America our military has sworn to protect and defend against all enemies, both foreign and DOMESTIC, has fallen. It has declared US to be enemies of the state.

Now that our military is awakening to this fact, we desperately need them to rise up and do their sworn duty. They believed that they were fighting for freedom in these wars of conquest for the elite. This is honorable. But since they are learning the truth, the honorable thing to do is for them to oust this usurping regime and restore our Republic. They would get overwhelming support from the People, and our faith in them would be restored, as well.

That anyone would expect our men in service to be “grateful” to the government is sickening. THEY are the ones being blown to bits in our names, and it is WE who should be grateful to them. Obama has made his contempt for these men and women well known, and any letter of “condolence” I got from him would be marked “return to sender”. Unopened. I’d throw it in his face if I could.

They should march right into DC and arrest every single vile, corrupt one of them. This would be the greatest act of heroism and patriotism possible.

      • eddie47d

Obama praises the troops all the time Kate 8 . So where is your proof of direct contempt?

      • Kate 8

eddie. You have got to be kidding.

Since your camp won’t report these things, and since you won’t look anywhere else, I won’t waste my time finding links for you. If you paid attention to a broader scope of reporting, you’d know what I’m talking about.

If anyone else cares to enlighten you, I’ll say go for it. But, frankly, you aren’t worth the effort.

      • Doug Rodrigues

I’m 5 year Military vet. The people running the government now are about as un-Constitutional as they can get. Washington has been permeated with Communists / Socialists who don’t give a damn about the Constitution. They only use the Constitution to destroy itself in their push toward the Socialist Utopia. The rear of my pickup truck is covered with anti-Obama stickers because I believe that Obama’s dream is to overthrow the Constitution and impliment his Socialist State. I believe that Barack Obama is a traitor to this Country and is the most un-American president this country has ever had. I believe that he should be put on trial for Treason and prosecuted as a traitor. Some people may think that people like me are being “un-American” for feeling this way, but what is the alternative? Shall Americans simply accept whatever people like Obama think is correct for this country….Socialism? No way in hell!

      • Kate 8

Doug – Only the commy liberals will accuse you of being unAmerican for feeling that way, because, I assure you, the rest of us feel the same.

Obama is not only UN-American, he is not American AT ALL. He is a foreign agent, a Muslim, and a pervert, and he despises American values and way of life.

He is also about to get his b*tt kicked back to Kenya. Or even better, GITMO.

      • KG

Mr. Vigilant, this is what I posted after your “ungrateful” comment-

I’m not ungrateful. I respect anyone who has honorably served in our Armed Services. The dedication as well as the sacrifice that Veterans have displayed do not go unnoticed. However, I am aware of who “butters my bread.”

In 2008, almost 120 construction workers died in Austin, Texas. They went to work that morning expecting to go home in the same shape that they got there. Maybe a little tired and dirty, but still have all of their parts. Most of these workers were working on non-union jobs for non-union contractors. These “patriot” business owners thought it would be a good idea to have unsafe working conditions. Who wants to spend money on a new ladder? The one you got is only missing a few rungs. And why should I spend a lot of money hiring a shoring contractor since you will only be in that hole for about 10 minutes? There is a reason why we have laws like OSHA and labor unions. To protect us from the “patriot” Bidness entrmanuers who only see dollar $igns. I’t these “casualties” i’m most passionate about. You are right when you say that people in the military have a “blank check” on their lives. But working people DO NOT AND SHOULD NOT. That’s why we still need labor unions in America.

      • eddie47d

Doug and Kate are both extremely un American. Both are hateful and deceitful.

      • Kate 8

eddie – In the liberal world, telling the truth is called “hateful”. This is why we are so messed up by PC. I won’t be controlled by it.

Those comments about labor unions are skewed to play on emotion. No one wants people to be hurt, and corporate owners are leftists as well as from the right. This idea that all weathy corporatists are Republicans is just another lie meant to deceive.

Labor unions would be okay except that they go everboard, telling the business owner how he must operate on all levels. That is ridiculous. A few good laws and oversight would take care of that without placing the business owner under the control of employees, which only serves to motivate him to move his business overseas. Of course, that was really the long-term plan.

eddie, you are clueless, hapless and a leftist shill. Yet, you have the right to be so. I don’t know if you are deliberately seeking to deceive, as in being paid to post… or if you are just truly ignorant. Either way, you are part of the problem, afraid to look at the truth if it threatens your world. That gets us nowhere.

So, construction workers who die on the job are not as important as Marines when they die? I thought you were a “pro-life” Anti-abortionist? Isin’t all life supposed to be respected?

I guess it is true – some people are more “equal” than others.

      • Kate 8

KG – Obviously, you didn’t read my post. That is not what I said.

I love the way you guys read things into posts that aren’t there, and twist them to mean something other than what is said.

        Standard liberal tactics.

      • http://naver samurai

Wrong, wrong, wrong KG! The people in question are humans and a human life is just as important as another human life, but the Marines dies serving the country. The construction workers end up as a statistic and the Marines are classified as heroes. Dying for your country makes one a hero, dying at work does not. FOR GOD AND COUNTRY! 하나님하고 나라를 위해서!

You need both love of country and fear of God to be a patriot.

Then we have the warmongers, the politicians that are ready go to war at the drop of a hat. The war we are STILL in is senseless. If this war had been conducted properly from the get-go this man in Texas and others like him would not be receiving this type of letter. This has cost America and taxpayers, it sure has contributed towards the financial ruin we are in. But as long as we have soldiers in those godforsaken countries I support them wholeheartedly and sincerely believe that we should take care of them when they come home. I will add this–many many thanks to the “Wounded Warrior” program. This is a truly worthwhile cause.

    • GALT

Fortunately, we now have an all volunteer military.

Unfortunately, this career opportunity happens to be the “most promising path” for all citizens regardless of race, gender and creed……….and especially for those who have
been “financially disadvantaged”…….but in these times, even for those of moderate
income……..the military provides all manner of skilled training in almost every field,
as well as the “educational benefits” for a “college education” without incurring the
current debt levels of those who attempt the college route directly……..

Under President Romney many more will “choose” this path…….as demonstrated
by this debate excerpt……..on his understanding of the “role of government”.

“The role of government — look behind us: the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence.

The role of government is to promote and protect the principles of those documents. First, life and liberty. We have a responsibility to protect the lives and liberties of our people, and that means the military, second to none. I do not believe in cutting our military. I believe in maintaining the strength of America’s military.”

Of the many interpretations available regarding the meaning of these “principles”,
this has to be one of the more unique ones………in fact it’s groundbreaking…….and
I realize that for his “apologists”…….the mental gymnastics to “spin” this will be offered…

Unfortunately, this man is “extremely dangerous” to the future of this country, in
everything he supposedly believes in……..or thinks he understands about what
“life and liberty” mean…….and all of it was available in the “debate” that he “won”….
and will be explored further in future posts……..

“To conquer, first DIVIDE!” ( and then HANG, separately.)

      • Larry K.

Maybe someday we will need our servicemen and women to protect us not only from our enemies but from our own government.

      • Stuart J Shepherd

GALT- Why don’t you shut the bleep up with your condescending, know-it-all, superior intellect and “higher vantage point” mentality and written drivel?!! It’s old!!!!! I don’t care if these men are from “economically disadvantaged” backgrounds and serving in the military is an “opportunity.” First of all, so is working at Starbucks for half the college grads!! Second, it’s not their ONLY opportunity- they could sell drugs or go on welfare!! Third, it’s not only “economically disadvantaged” going into the military (the academies are an example). Fourth, the “economically advantaged” are too SPOILED to do something self-sacrificingly patriotic.

THEY’RE PATRIOTS! THEY RISK THEY’RE LIVES! THEY DISCIPLINE AND TRAIN THEMSELVES! THEY HAVE A SENSE OF DECENCY AND HONOR! George Washington’s men were volunteers. Many didn’t even have shoes! The country-folk were somewhat ambivalent about opposing the British. This ragamuffin group of men beat the greatest military might in the world at that time.
        Shut the bleep up!!

      • Kate 8

        Stuart – THANK YOU. :)

Larry – That time arrived a long time ago. It’s overdue.

      • Bill

I’m sure I’ll get a lot of flack for this, but I believe there should be a draft. I don’t care if your gay, lezzy, disabled, blind, whatever. Within 6 months of graduation of HS or dropping out of HS, you should be required to be “Active” military. After completion of 4 years, you should receive 4 years of fully paid education or vocational training. I served 10 years and the most important aspect – I went in as a 17 year old boy having everything done for me by my mom, to coming out as an ACCOUNTABLE, RESPONSIBLE MAN.

      • GALT

Thank you Stuart for the ability to recognize superior intellect when you see it
especially since you aptly demonstrate your complete lack of intellect as you
attempt to elucidate your opinion regarding the thoughts which were expressed
with your absurd comparative examples and rather deficient knowledge of history.

That “you don’t care” is clear, after all who else would believe that Starbucks, welfare
and drug dealing represented viable, desirable and sustainable OPPORTUNITY?

Median Household Income for 2011 was $50,234
For an e-4 with 6 years the pay is $28,357
For an O-2 with 6 Years the pay is $54,115
This is base pay only, which does not include bonuses, allowances or other benefits.

Only 1% of the colonists participated in the Revolutionary effort, and Washington
had little to do with the outcome, the “summer soldiers” even less…….victory was
a combination of British incompetence and ultimately French intervention, while
British Victory could have been easily achieved by a simple and sustained
        blockade……….( see Bevins )

There is no “patriotism” involved in the current wars in which we are engaged, although
you are CORRECT to appreciate their sacrifice to protect your RIGHT to mythical $2.
gasoline, which you will NEVER see again…….and while duty and honor are potential
ideals, that is not why soldiers fight……they fight and have always fought for person
next to them and to SURVIVE……..when asked What are you doing in Vietnam? the
common response was 365 and a wake up…….and I don’t imagine that has changed.

In terms of casualties ( the “honored” dead ) these two wars have been cheap by
historical standards………and the pay far more lucrative than that paid to “previous
conscripts”, E-4 over two years got approx $2808 base pay………

The oil companies and their stock holders, the military industrial complex, and
the private contractors share your appreciation for the “sacrifice” also, all at
tax payer expense……..while their profits soar and the cost of labor falls…….

Lacking intellect, ethics, character, morality or integrity that you “do not care”
is to be expected……….that you would call attention to it, however, is not something
you should make a habit of……but if you feel compelled, you certainly have that right.

Please try, amidst all that bursting patriotism, to remember that it is not one which
is exclusive to YOU…….at least for the time being.

      • vicki

One of the more interesting problems we have with understanding “military” is the successful propaganda that there is military and there is civilian. Our founders would look at today’s America in total shock as they went to a lot of trouble to eliminate a “standing army” and make every one of us the “military”. Look up US Code Title 10 Section 311.

      • GALT

P.S. for Stuart and erstwhile fan…..( yup that would be you Kate8, please tell me there
        aren’t that many of YOU?)

You might think, and in being generally ignorant, I would predict that you do believe,
that the “state income tax” you may be paying goes to the state you are working in?

Sadly I do not have time today to “tease” you so rather that set you up, which is not
particularly hard and since MY SUBJECT today is Willard, possibly President Willard,
I will get right to the point…..

In 19 states this is NOT the case……take Kansas, as a specific example….AMC
theaters, which moved it’s HQ from Kansas City Missouri, to Leaward Kansas, 10
miles away…….which simply shifted jobs across state lines…..but in exchange the
CORP gets to keep the “state income tax” collected although their employee’s are
“clueless” ……( as you are ) How much is this worth to the owners over the TERM
of this agreement…..a mere $47 million, basically chump change, right?

Who owns AMC theaters? J.P. Morgan, Apollo Mgmt, the Carlyle Group and
Bain Capital Mgmt. No jobs created, just moved……

But as I said, there are 19 states that have done these deals…..and 2700 corps
which have arranged them….to include, General Electric, Goldman Sachs, Proctor
and Gamble…as well as foreign companies, including Siemans and Electrolux………
as well as Japanese, Canadian and European Banks…….

Further ignorance on your part, re; the revolution and the phrase “no taxation without
representation”… that the CROWN was not the problem…..nor was taxation,
British subjects at HOME, were taxed 25 to 50 times as much……the PROBLEM
was the EAST INDIA COMPANY…..a state sanctioned MONOPOLY…….is a pattern
beginning to develope for you Stuart? No? If you had read Power, Inc. or any
of the “other” books on the list of required reading…..MINE….the revelation above
would not be SHOCKING NEWS…… would just be another piece that FIT the
        picture of our present…….

And one final blow for today……….this time the median WAGE which in
        2010 was $29, 448…….in 1966 it was $392 DOLLARS LESS………SINKING
        IN YET?

Oh wait, just one more FUN FACT for today, there was a time when banks charged
a $6. fee for a bounced check…….the banks costs for this was 30 cents, the present
day cost is ONE CENT…..the fee is over $40 although you probably won’t know until it happens.

Anyway Stuart and Kate, it is always a pleasure to talk to people who believe they
have a RIGHT to their opinion…….insistence on sharing ignorance has always
been useful to someone……..willing victims do make the BEST MARKS, after all…

and such PATRIOTISM should not go unacknowledged…..hopefully President
Romney will leave the $200 something Social Security DEATH BENEFIT intact..
rather that removing it as an excessive entitlement?

      • Kate 8

GALT – As usual, your bias is exceeded only by your nastiness. It seems that your approach is to insult and demean, and I’ll tell you that only results in my not reading your posts at all. I don’t care what you have to say. You are a pompous *ss, and are not nearly as smart as you think you are.

      • GALT

Why thank you kate for that wonderfully expressed opinion which is inspired by
your NOT READING my posts………..your consistent and insistent “willful ignorance”
        is truly PRICELESS…..

  • Vigilant

“Young said that former President George W. Bush wrote handwritten letters at times.”

    See :

“[In 2007] the Washington Times ran a story claiming that Bush had sent personal letters to more than 4,000 families of soldiers killed in action and 9/11 victims during his presidency which was largely unnoticed by the public.”

    • Ted Crawford

The fact that these letters went unnoticed, is indicative of Bush’s Leadership qualities. Agree of disagree with him, and I disagreed often, Bush was a Leader. Another example can be had by remembering an interview he had, At that time a Woman, and Mother to a fallen Soldier, was publicly excoriating Bush. Of course the MSM was playing it at every opportunity! The Interviewer ask President Bush what he thought about her. Bush answered “She has lost a loved one. She’s a grieving Mother…it is her right” That, I don’t care who you are is Leadership!

    • Rick

All those personal letters and he still managed to attend his daily security briefings. Obama is probably still smoking dope and too busy lying and smoking to do his job as president. I have no respect for this administration or Obama. Neither has shown any abiity or inclination to lead anything.

  • JON

Since Bush got us into the wars in the first place, maybe he should send the letter!

    • Doc Sarvis

      Excellent point Jon.

Also, there is no indication that President Obama does not also send a handwritten letter “at times”.

      • Ted Crawford

Are you kidding me ? ? If Obama had even so much as thought about writing such a letter, he would have made very sure that it was front page news and the leadoff to all MSM broadcast newsprograms!

      • Bev

The only people Obama sends handwritten notes to are his celeb friends. The rest of us are not popular or have tons of money therefore we are irrelevant.

      • Doug

Really Jon you need to go do some home work and stop listening to MSN and all the other new channels. Congress are the ones that sent us to war unlike Obamalangadindong who just deciede to go to war with Libya and the citizens of USA without Congressional approval.

      • Chester

Doug, I do so hate to bust your bubble, but the very last congressionally approved war we got into was WW2. NOT Korea, NOT VietNam, NOT any number of actions since. They didn’t DISAPPROVE of Desert Shield or Desert Storm, but they didn’t approve, either, and the same goes for Afghanistan. As far as Libya goes, we were never IN that war, just wasted a bunch of jet fuel and some ammunition protecting people on the ground.

    • eddie47d

Good point Jon and another biased article for the anti-Obama crowd. The article didn’t say one thing about whether the family received a personal visit from a military representative. Which they always do. Death in any war brings both pride in those who served and bitterness in that loss. The fact that the letter was signed by the President makes it very legitimate and doesn’t make Obama anti-military or insensitive to that loss. Tom Logan’s pain is America’s pain but he is taking it out on the wrong person. Either we accept these wars and the suffering that goes with it or totally disengage from them. We are all extremely sad for your loss Tom but thousands have had that same cross to bear throughout our history.

    • Vigilant

      Rotten point, Jon.

Cpl. Logan enlisted in 2008. Do you know what “enlisted” means? It means no one forced him to join. It means the war was already in progress and he knew what he was getting into.

“He really just wanted to be a Marine. He was always talking about it and always interested in it, and he went to see recruiters and started working out. Just had to be a Marine,” Logan’s father, Tom Logan, said.

It means he knew something about commitment, and it means he was willing, and did, lay down his life for what he believed in. It means he wasn’t as petty and flippant as you and the rest of your lefty friends by taking a cheap political shot at a former president.

      • eddie47d

…or you taking a cheap political shot at Obama to quench your thirst for that blood lust. I know other Conservative engage in that behavior far far worse than you do and I do want to stress that. Your comments are generally well thought out Vigilant and Jon was just being facetious.

      • Kate 8

There is no greater thirst for blood than that of Obama and Hillary.

They have not only the blood of our military on their hands, but the blood of many, many others, as well. The bodies continue to pile up of anyone they perceive as a threat to their nefarious ends.

Have you heard Hil’s evil cackle at the prospect of staging more false flags to get WW3 going? “WE’RE WORKIN’ HARD!” She’s literally salivating at the idea of full-scale world war.

Conservatives (the people) don’t want war. We want freedom, and are willing to do whatever it takes to achieve it. The blood we lay on the line is our own.

The treasonous jackals in government have proven that they are more than willing to shed any amount of (OUR) blood to achieve absolute tyranny. They have definitely worked hard to create a hopeless mess for us, and when the SHTF they will scurry into their safe bunkers to wait it out, being the rats that they are.

      • eddie47d

Kate is mixing fact with fiction again and mostly fabricated conjecture. Actually you should know by now I’m against almost all wars except in direct defense of this nation. That being said you better step back and check out the body count (blood on hands) in other wars that have been around and under other Presidents. Are you protesting the looming war with Iran? In Other words what are you doing to stop any blood shed from occurring.

      • JTB

Very well said. This poor excuse we have now for a president doesn’t have a heart and if he does he sits on it!

eddie – Many of us have awakened to the fact that those in high places take out those who are perceived as being in their way. That is now a given.

That being said, it in no way justifies the continued practice of it. The above mentioned demon-possessed creeps now running things are on a killing rampage, and don’t even try to hide it anymore.

I don’t care who does it, edduh my man. It’s WRONG. And they need to be held to account. The whole idea that they can commit any crimes they wish with no accountability, and we are supposed to respect them and answer to them, isn’t going to fly for much longer.

The deaths at the behest of the Clintons and Obamas is huge, and is racking up every day. They are far more brazen than previous ‘regimes’. They think that we are THAT stupid, and in a sense, I guess we are.

Many have fallen over the decades who have tried to expose the corruption of the Clintons, and people are afraid of them. Now, it’s the same with Obama. They order hits without hesitation, and even with glee. But brave souls are defying them now and coming forth, even as others fall before them. We’ve had enough, and we won’t stop until DC is cleaned up. And that means ALL of them.

    • Kansas Bright

Jon, A little education for you, feel free to verify it.

Bush had Special Operations in 70 foreign nations over eight years. He is also a War Criminal and murderer under our laws, but Obama refused to prosecute him.
Obama now has Special Operations in OVER 145 foreign nations in less then 4 years. He also is a War criminal and murderer under our laws.

What you have not bothered to research and find out is that Obama = Romney. Basically Bush 1 started a lot of this mess. Clinton carried on his work and added to it. Then Bush 2 carried on the same policies and, again, added to them. Now Obama has carried on the SAME policies, and (once again) added to them.
If Romney gets into office he also will carry on with the same “polices” and add to them.

They are all, republicans and democrats, working for the same master and it is NOT America and her people.

Our military, when they return home from fighting OFFENSIVE wars on foreign shores immediately go on the terrorist watch list. All who have served our nation on foreign shores, and some who served here in the USA are considered terrorist unless they are willing to swear an Oath to the UN.

We are soon going to be paying taxes to the UN (google it).

Obama “gave” authority over the USA to the UN, which is treason and nothing has been done. Obama “gave” authority over the US Military to the UN, which again, is treason. Obama, Panetta, Gen Dempsey all say that the “authority” they have comes from the UN (senate hearing), in letters, on video.

They say, and have said in the past, that they do NOT represent the USA, but represent the UN. Yet we are allowing them to order our US military, OUR fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers, and friends into foreign nations to possibly die. They ONLY authority any one who is SERVING temporarily within the fed gov has comes from the US Constitution which IS our government. No person is our government.

    • ssgrick

Hey Einstein, if President got us into the war in Afghanistan and Iraq can you tell me which one of three planes that crashed on 9-11-01 he was flying? You moron a bunch of religious zealots with an axe to grind STARTED this war both of them!!! Quite listening to the likes of Mad-cow, Matthews, Schultz, and the rest of the white people are us network over at NBC/MSNBC

    • OneGuess

Blame Bush. Is that all you’ve got? Get a life. m*r*n.

    • sam1966

Bush, baaaaa! Wars, baaaaa! Chaaaaange! Don’t you sheeple ever get tired of blaming someone other than the current COOTUS? FOR GOD AND COUNTRY! 하나님과 국가 대 한!

You need both love of country and fear of God to be a patriot.

The man lost his son…that in itself is tragic..To get a Pinche letter from the idiot in chief is also tragic..To recieve a letter that is empty of feeling is worse than getting none at all. We all know how this man despises our military….

    • Doc Sarvis

We don’t even know what it said so we can’t say that the letter is “empty of feeling”.

You write that; “We all know how this man despises our military….” President Obama is trying to get our troops out of Afghanistan in a responsible way as he did in Iraq. Both of those places we have no business occupying and the previous administration threw us into those situations. It is President Bush who showed us that he dispises our military by using them in such a wasteful way and putting them in a horrible position!

President Obama is constantly praising our military and the sacrifice of the military families. He is respecting them by trying to reward veterans when they come home with job opportunities, better health benefits, and education benefits. He also does NOT overlook them in his most important speeches, unlike the Republican Presidential candidate.

      • momo

It was a form letter and four months late! some respect!

      • deerinwater

Some people are just “small” Doc. ~ they can’t help it. ~ When it becomes necessary to be “Large” ~ some people simply fail. ~ a man with a dead son, ~it’s to be understood. For these other “small people” ~ it’s for them to explain their smallness ~ but not to us and that day too shall come.

      • Nobody’s Fool

Doc Sarvis, JON, Eddie47–why do you torture yourselves by coming to this site? You know you are going to disagree with everything that is said, so why bother? Save yourselves some grief, and go to the commies’ website where you will be welcomed with open arms and you and your comrades can laud, slobber over, and adore oBlamer ad infinitim and ad nauseum.

      • Ted Crawford

:” Constantly praising our military? In August of 2007 he accused them of murder, ” ..Troops just airraiding villages and killing civilians” !
While Obama is constantly demanding credit for the killing of bin Lauden, here is the Weasel Letter that he prepared, should anything have gone wrong! ” The timing, operational decision making and control are in ADM. McRavens hands.
The approval is provided on the risk profile presented
to the President. Any additional risks are to be brought back to the President for his consideration.” Brought back for consideration?Any of us who have experienced Combat realize just how completely CLUELESS that is!
Very different from how REAL leaders handle responsibility! Eisenhower, after ordering D-Day, sat down and wrote a letter that was exactly opposite of Obamas. He demanded FULL responsibility for the decision! Gen. Lee did the same after ordering Picketts charge! These men were Leaders! Obama is nowhere in sight on that score!

      • ssgrick

If the moron in chief has so much respect for our Military then can you please tell me why it is that the men and women in uniform have to live under the most restrictive rules of engagement ever imposed on them? Our soldiers cannot return fire if there is no clear enemy identification. It’s pretty hard to identify an enemy who dresses as a woman, hides among a civilian population, and does not hold on to a weapon long enough to draw a bead on them and fire a kill shot.
Just go on line and look up ROE for Afghanistan and then ask yourself this one question……Could you fight a war and win if you had to live under these rules. Would you fight if you had to live under these restrictions? How can you say this communist (obaMAO) cares about the military when he prefers to prosecute U.S.Military personnel for killing the enemy.
The current occupant at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. is an enemy sympathizer at the least if not an outright traitor to this Country. Afghanistan is not his last step in the destruction of our Military and America either, you do remember the little chat he had with the former Soviet President last years about needing more time for FLEXIBILITY?

  • Dad

The Obama’s admittedly do not like America. Obama is siding with the Muslims and has from day 1. Nuff said…

    • skippy

Lets hope Dad, that EVERYONE knows that on November 6, 2012.
I cannot volunteer enough for the Republicans…..there are not enough hours in the day!
We have GOT to, GOT TO, get that man UNelected!!! God help us all

  • Glen

It seems like people are having a problem with Romney because of his Mormon belief. Even though the LDS church is an offshoot of the Christian faith and different…they are loyal Americans, family people and they take care of their own. Well, you have a clear choice….A MORMON OR A MUSLIM. I have a video where Obama is speaking to a group of Arabs, admitting he is a MUSLIM. It’s down to this…and I can’t vote or ISLAM here in an American Race for President of the U.S.A.

    • Ted Crawford

Obama is constantly refering to the Muslim Call to Prayer as ” The most beautiful sound in the World” ! It sounds far more like an eunuch with an oversized object invading his nether regions to me!

      • eddie47d

Everyone has favorite memories of years past. Maybe yours was that old German favorite Grenadier . You sometimes sound like one!

    • Jay

Actually Glen, there is very little difference between a Muslim and a Mormon. And no, Mormonism is NOT, an off-shoot of Christianity!

      Here Glen, educate yourself!

    • Jay

A more precise statement, Glen; Mormonism is an off-shoot of Islam…!

  • JustSayKnow

It is hard to find the time to write a letter to the family of fallen soldiers when you are campaigning for the past four years.

  • 45caliber

Liberals believe that anyone who joins the military is a prospective murderer who is wanting to kill legally. Therefore they have no respect for any soldier and in fact hate them. Don’t expect any of them to honor a fallen soldier. Further, how can you expect our “President” to honor a man or woman who he believes are killing HIS people?

    • eddie47d

Your comment is way off base Caliber. We respect all military personel we serve this nation. We honor those who serve With Honor and disavow those who do dishonorable things. Its not about those who have to kill to protect this nation but against those who shame the USA in dastardly deeds. (rape and atrocities) Thankfully they are far and few between. On your other sentence how could Obama be taking out al Qaeda Muslims if they “are his people”?

      • Kate 8

eddie – If you disavowed those who shame the USA with their dastardly deeds, you wouldn’t adore and support the likes of the Clintons and Obama. They, along with the rest of the weasels and their controllers, are responsible for most of the evil committed in the world, including the atrocities done at the hands of the military.

As for Al Qaeda (Al CIAda), it has been publicly revealed that this group is a CIA agency. They are NOT Obama’s people, in the religious sense.

BTW, I suppose you haven’t seen this:

You won’t find ANY telling tidbits about Odumbo in your lamestream news outlets.

      • eddie47d

Case proven again. Why is it that Kate says we shouldn’t play this Republican/Democrat love fest yet only brings up Democrats as evil. What ! You skip over Bush and even Reagan and you want credibility?

      • Kate 8

eddie – As usual, you use one evil to justify another.

It is YOU who have a lovefest with the Left. I recognize both sides as evil, so I only point out to you the crimes of your icons. But you just blow them off, saying, “the Right does it, too!”

        Good grief.

  • Bob Rice

Thats ALL ive come to expect from OREO,he doesnt give a DAMN about the US Military,he is bound and determined to make us a third world country,This POTUS WANNABE,couldnt water my wifes garden, without screwing it up,and without directions from his tele-prompter….

  • jopa

Romney didn’t even have the decency to mention the troops at all during the convention.Even today he doesn’t talk about them much when this point was brought up.It is probably too much of a reminder to the public as to how he handled his duties as a warrior during the Nam era.He was out demonstrating for the draft and the war but when it came time for him to go he took a concientious objector status and ran off to France until the war ended,Now this draft dodging piece of crap wants to be CIC willing to send the troops in a place he was too chicken sh– to go himself. If you are a concientious objector to be a soldier you do not qualify for CIC.

    • momo

So by your logic Bill Clinton shouldn’t have been president.

    • eddie47d

Okay MOMO that is fair game but wouldn’t that make Dick Cheney a 5 time loser and he shouldn’t have been eligible to be a heartbeat away from the Presidency? Clinton openly disapproved of the war and followed his beliefs. Cheney openly supported the war and refused to serve. That makes Cheney the 5 time champion in draft dodging and the bigger hypocrite.

      • momo

Yeah, eddie, you’re right Cheney sucks too, but then again they were handing out deferments to all the college boys. The poor schmucks who couldn’t get into college or a national guard unit were the ones that got screwed over.

  • Ms.Young

And here’s why: God is angry, good and angry with all the nations,

    Isaiah 34:2-4
And here’s why: God is angry, good and angry with all the nations, So blazingly angry at their arms and armies that he’s going to rid earth of them, wipe them out. The corpses, thrown in a heap, will stink like the town dump in midsummer, Their blood flowing off the mountains like creeks in spring runoff. Stars will fall out of the sky like overripe, rotting fruit in the orchard, And the sky itself will be folded up like a blanket and put away in a closet. All that army of stars, shriveled to nothing, like leaves and fruit in autumn, dropping and rotting

    Why Do We War?
    James 4
    Get Serious
1 -2Where do you think all these appalling wars and quarrels come from? Do you think they just happen? Think again. They come about because you want your own way, and fight for it deep inside yourselves. You lust for what you don’t have and are willing to kill to get it. You want what isn’t yours and will risk violence to get your hands on it.
2 -3You wouldn’t think of just asking God for it, would you? And why not? Because you know you’d be asking for what you have no right to. You’re spoiled children, each wanting your own way.
4 -6You’re cheating on God. If all you want is your own way, flirting with the world every chance you get, you end up enemies of God and his way. And do you suppose God doesn’t care? The proverb has it that “he’s a fiercely jealous lover.” And what he gives in love is far better than anything else you’ll find. It’s common knowledge that “God goes against the willful proud; God gives grace to the willing humble.

About the only thing that surprises me about the White House Messiah is the idea that he doesn’t – YET – send sympathy letters to fallen jihad kookoids. You ought to know by now that at least one czar would go for the idea. After all, in trying to ‘play nice,’ we must NOT “offend” the enemy.
In a utopian’s world, giving equal time to those who are no longer fighting is the thing to do. Of course, that would bring up the idea that a certain White House Messiah would have an interesting time how it was that America fought against Hitler in WWII and Muslims were one of Hitler’s most ardent backers.
You’re known by the company you keep, utopians. By the way, don’t think of that moisture running down yor legs as urine,. It’s merely condensation caused by putting you slimers in your place. Act on your “integrity,” and your ‘compassion,’ and move to a country that will find a use for you. You haven’t ‘fit in’ here for MANY years.

These “soldiers” are only “dumb stupid animals to be used as pawns for foreign policy” and that’s why they don’t get any “honor” or “respect”. They are only to be used to fulfill the goal for world globalization/domination. If you people don’t like that, then you can 1. stop supporting the military and 2, stop enlisting in the military…Militarism is the road to serfdom….

What do you expect from the leftist crowd in the White House ? When Hillary the Hag was First Hag she used the military as her personal servants. They would charge the KIA’s family the airfare to bring the body home if they thought they could get away with it. These are the same people who spit on us when we came home from Nam.

Samurai is back to his old name and up to his old tricks. The Afghanistan War will be over in 2014 (combat mission). Yes it will linger for another 10 years but that is the new reality. We are still in Korea aren’t we?

        • http://naver samurai

Yes, we are still in Korea ed-duh. That’s a fact, as I served in Korea from 1993 – 1995. One of the better places we were stationed. But you have to admit that if the combat mission is finished and there is no threat to Afghanistan’s existance, like there is in Korea, we should bring them home. I always believe in coming home after the mission is accomplished. I don’t know where you were stationed, but I’ll bet you felt the same way when you served, didn’t you? FOR GOD AND COUNTRY! 하나님하고 나라를 위해서!

You need both love of country and fear of God to be a patriot.
