FAIR insists Obama misleading public on healthcare

September 14, 2009 by

FAIR insists Obama misleading public on healthcare Despite the fallout from Representative Joe Wilson’s outburst, in which he accused President Obama of lying on the healthcare issue, the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) says there is evidence the government is not truthful about publicly-funded healthcare for illegal immigrants.

The organization says the proposed House bill known as America’s Affordable Health Care Act of 2009 (H.R. 3200) would allow illegal aliens to be covered by a government-run public option and would include no verification provisions to prevent them from receiving subsidies to purchase private insurance.

To support its claims, FAIR cites the study conducted by non-partisan Congressional Research Service entitled Treatment of Noncitizens in H.R. 3200 which concluded that the bill does not contain restrictions on noncitizens participating in the health insurance exchange, a scheme which would allow participants to enroll in a government-run program.

"There is no reason why the controversy over whether illegal aliens will be eligible for massive health care subsidies should persist," says Dan Stein, president of FAIR.

"[Its] authors can easily remove the ambiguities from the House bill, and Senate leaders can include specific language barring illegal aliens from all nonemergency benefits in the bill that is being written in that chamber," he adds.

The President of the United States of America

    President Barack Hussein Obama

I’m proud to be an American; Thank God for this President!

    • True Americans

Ya you are young and have never read the constitution and probably dont even know what it is it is the law of this land and starting with Barrrrrack impeach and destroy our corrupt politicians and return this country back to the american peopleand stop taking care of all the freeloaders who think that they are intitled to everything that other people have worked for no matter how much more they make than you.

      • JeffH

billy is spouting for his own amusement…this is his MO on other related stories. Don’t get caught up with his and anothers (smilee)
attempts to be outrageous just to get your dander up. Their goal is strictly self amusement and nothing more.
        Best to ignore them!

        • billy

by george(h.w) they’re on to me! ha

        • billy

but jeff , dont you guys do it too? you must get some satisfaction out of knowing how upset some of these damn liberals get even when they’re in the majority- no?

        • B

You’re right Jeff. Ignore the man. Stand on what the word of God has to say about the matters at hand and pray. God will always prevail. The Bible refers to these types of people as “scoffers”, “mockers” and “fools”. Maintain your joy by keeping your eyes on the Lord–not on people who pick and choose what is or is not in the scripture. “Let God be true and every man a liar.”

          • JeffH

I respect your right to believe in God, but this is the wrong place to preach the word of God. God will only judge man once.

          • runningbear

That’s the problem with people today, they have lost the one thing that made this country great and now we have allowed these people to remove GOD from everything? It’s the right damn time to speak of God and FYI when you start listening to men and puting your faith in some one that won’t even show his papers, much less use his full name “Hussein” which translated is “GOOD”.he knew he would be his waterloo? So he hides his name like he hides his records.Which I am not sure what his legal name is.He lied when he took the oath of office and swore he had never been known by any other names?LIAR,LIAR PANTS ON FIRE!Barry Did’t your Athiest mother ever teach you any manners at all?I want any Obama supporter to check him out like I and many others have done and connected the dots. They still refuse to see him for what he is.A MNACHURIAN CANDIDATE? want more truth?or can you handle the TRUTH!

          • eyeswideopen

Running bear.. woah, Just because someone wanted to keep religion out of politics you call him an atheist? Believe it or not there is a seperation of church and state in this country. What kind of Christian are you, to spew all that hate??

        • Deb W.

Jeff: You’re so right about poor Billy. Maybe he can’t read and thus he’s never read the constitution? He should check out “MICKEY’S” comments on Sep 16, 2009 @ 4:14 a.m. Maybe he just hasn’t lived long enough that some of us have lived through recessions and depressions before – we might just know what we’re talking about. Billy, when the rug gets pulled out from under you without your seeing it coming, you may educate yourself on REALITY. There is a “Shadow Government” sitting outside the Oval office : They are called Czars who advise and write policy without the approval and/or knowledge of Congress. Ask yourself are you being true/loyal to the President of the United States or true to our RIGHTS UNDER THE CONSTITUTION? It’s a very old document that gives us the right to free speech, etc.; which gives you the right to say whatever you want to say. Another question for Billy: The Presidential Administration is borrowing 85 BILLION DOLLARS from CHINA every week, adding to our nations debt. Where are we going to be, Billy, when China starts calling in the loans?

          • billy

Since you are very concerned with the latest fox news czars topic; tell me deb, how many czars were in the previous administration? we should know this information- please tell us, how many?

          • eyeswideopen

There were 46 for Bush. Let me repeat 46. Obama has 34. People check your facts.

      • billy

now now that doesnt sound like the attitude of a “true american “to me come now stop with the anger remember when the democrats were the angry ones- geez i could easily mistake you for a dirty liberal with that rhetoric

    • Rick

      Billy
I hope at the end of his term you will have seen you made a big mistake. I am not saying your wrong or right. I just know the direction this country is going, you, I and everyone else in the US will know. He ( Obama) Was not the president you think he is.

      • billy

remains to be seen rick- give the brutha a chance; go head youll feel better

        • http://naver Samurai

Billy, I guess you must be one of those Americans who thinks that they should be handed everything. I just want to tell you that this is not how our country was set up by our Conservative Christian Founding Fathers. They didn’t believe in our government doing the things that Obama is doing. Here are the facts: 1. If the government does these things, it will take away our freedom of choice or greatly hamper it.
          2. This fool wants to cover illegal immigrants also. I’m originally from Indiana and I can tell you that with the steady flow of people from south of the boarder, you have a snowball’s chance of getting a job in a factory these days. 3. Our founders knew that sucj programs would become too costly for the government and would turn into monsters. Look at Social Security today. They pay more of the budget on these unconstitutional social programs then they do on the military. Are there illegals on these programs? Of course there are. I guess that people don’t believe in the ways our founders said to do things: charities, family, and church. These are where people are supposed to be doing for others not these stupid handouts or bailouts. When smilee or billy grow brains, they’ll see they were wrong and will give us all a great big apology.

          • B

I agree with you whole heartedly. It’s not about giving the brotha a chance; it’s about doing things God’s way. “If a man doesn’t work, he doesn’t eat” (Look it up–it’s in there). These programs were designed to help people who aren’t physically able to work anymore–not for those who are lazy. I could go on and on about the things listed in this healthcare package that goes completely against scripture. It is a recipe for disaster to those who continue to follow after it.

          • Smilee

            Samurai and B

Billie sure got under your skin didn’t he

          • TLS

Samurai: For the most part I agree. The problem with the Social Security Program was and truly independent agency. Funds into the Agency became so large that Democrats from 1958 to 1968 decided “that there was no way all the money would ever be spent; thus, they decided to move the Social Security funds from “A Trust” INTO THE GOVERNMENT’S FEDERAL FUNDS. The money now in the hands of the generalities of federal funding system and was used to fund other governmental efforts, which has caused the Social Security System on a downward spiral toward bankruptcy.

          • billy

            “Conservative Christian Founding Fathers”

Could nothing be further from the truth than this statement by the christian extremeist Samurai?!

wow!just when i thought the lies of socialism, communism, birthers deathers czarsers etc etc etc could not be topped, you just did! congratulations.

          • eyeswideopen

Samurai, no wonder we are in trouble…. This nation wasn’t set up by our CONSERVATIVE CHRISTIAN FOUNDING FATHERS…….GUESS WHAT ALOT OF THEM WERE ATHEISTS!! You need to do some research instead of spouting off about our founding fathers. Yes, I know you want them to be conservative christian republicans, and for over thirty years that’s all you have heard, but the facts are facts.
Guess what, Rep. Wilson voted for the Medicare bill in 2003 which has provisions to pay the hospitals for care given to illegal immigrants. So who has the clean hands???

      • Smilee

        Rick

Obama could even turnout to be better than we hoped

      • Deb W.

Oh Rick, did you see Billy’s reply to your comment? The poor guy has no education. He’s a follower: “Follow the Yellow Brick Road” Billy because it will take you directly to the “Anointed One.” When he educates (if he’s capable) himself on the Constitution and our Bill of Rights then he can comment with knowledge. He won’t do that, because he “bought into the mesmerizing speeches and promises of hope and change.” Change brought us 9 TRILLION MORE DOLLARS OF NATIONAL DEBT just since taking office. Follow the list Billy: Government takeover of our Banks, our Automobile Industry, and the impending Government takeover of OUR OWN HEALTH CARE! Billy: “FOLLOW THE YELLOW BRICK ROAD”, “FOLLOW THE YELLOW BRICK ROAD”. Rick, he will feel the wrath whether he wants to or not.

          • American Citizen

The military doesn’t just take anybody. You have to have some intelligence to fight these modern wars. And no one forces those in the military to join, we have an all volunteer force. For your info, two of our children, the oldest volunteered for the Navy while he was still a senior in high school. He still works for the Navy after serving nine years on active duty. Our second oldest volunteered while in college. She became an Army nurse and reached the rank of Major before she retired. She is still a nurse, working as an OB nurse and loves delivering babies. We did not encourage them to join up, but we also didn’t discourage them. We always told our children we would support them in whatever they chose to do and we still do. Now it’s rooting for the grandchildren.

        • billy

Deb, you are uneducated and ignorant.

    • Ross

Thank GOD that everyone is not a brain washed Democrat, known as a Domcrat, or if they couldnt be brain washed there a Dimocrat. In otherwords they beleive without knowing or understanding the truth.
I feel sorry for BO, when he does the wrong thing the Democrats will do to him what they did to JFK!!!!!!!!! Wake up history repetes its self.

      • billy

ross- update ON CATCH PHRASES –REPUBLICANS NOW AGREE WITH 80% OF THE HEALTHCARE BILL- ACCORDING TO NEWT GINGRICH.

it looks like your leaders are trying to get off all the negative lies like wheres the birth certificate- yea its true you didnt hear , apparetly when republicans say sh*it like this: it makes your whole party look like total as##oles- yea its true newt just realized this and it only took him a year!! so yea just tune into fox news these next few days and you will see the new catch phrase is a positive one: REPUBLICANS AGRRE WITH 80% OF THE HEALTHCARE BILL- and then you can come in here and use the new catch phrase until the next one comes out- but yea right now they are trying to get off the birth cert. your welcome.

        • TLS

Billy: I believe the term “a_____es” was a catch phrase from one of Van Jones’ speeches. He actually apologized for calling republicans that, but never apologized for his racial comments.

      • JeffH

Hey jeff. Judge in GA has smacked down the birthers, more bad info to follow.

          • Smilee

You have to present a case to the court before you can get heard and they have none and those who filed the suits know this but it makes for good red meat to these hungry conservatives who have little power today and keeps their tummies full

      • http://2009PersonalLibertyDigest terrilofty

I am an American, I am not democrat or republican. I voted for the man whom I thought would do the best job. One with life experience, experience in government and who spoke the truth. It was no Obama. And now I am seeing I made the right decision. He was not the man to lead the country at the time. No matter the color of the brutha’s skin. And he did have a white mother. I lived in a black neighborhood or should I say hood for 20 years. I was a victim of reverse racism, they’re were only 2 other white families in the area. I had only lived there for 4 months when they blew up my mailbox, my son was the only white child on the school bus he often come home with a black eye, bloody nose, until it got so bad I had to go to the school board. So I as a white woman consider it as an insult that I don’t like the prez cause he is african/american, people in the long run eventually show their true colors and their character. That is what I see happening before my eyes.

      • eyeswideopen

Ross, just what are you saying the Dem’s did to JFk? I surely hope you aren’t referring to what I think you are.

    • eyeswideopen

Rep. Wlson lied about being an immigration lawyer. The State of S.C. stated they showed no one of that name in that field. His best friend from 1968 stated he has only been a real estate lawyer. The most well known immigration lawyer in the state, has never crossed roads with him and has never heard of him in the immigration division. Mr. Wilson YOU LIE!!!!

      • JeffH

If Mr. Wilson lied about being an immigration lawyer, and it appears he may have unless he practiced under an alias, then he should qualify for the same windfalls that beset all of the “liars and cheats” in Washington D.C. And I do mean ALL of them, including Presedints. Past and present.

        • eyeswideopen

Just can’t acknowledge another liar in our militant party? Hey, when you are throwing stones, you need to be careful to only use the facts and to not lie to try and make your point, we are so fortunate to have this internet, which proves instantly who the LIARS ARE!!!!

What a great speech: “NO MORE PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS”

Finally a president who is FOR THE PEOPLE.

“If you misrepresent what’s in the plan, we will call you out,” he stressed, adding, “I will not accept the status quo as a solution. Not this time. Not now.”

Thanks billy, Fantastic videos, How can anyone watch these and at least not have some questions in their minds afterwords. Closed minds who are plentiful here would probably be in denial and if not this would shake their programmed minds into some resemblance of reality, denial prevents them from going there.

  • DonnaH.

How many times where you dropped on your head there billy?

    • billy

donna can we keep this serious please, thank you. can you read below what i wrote to boyd and tell me what you think? please stop the name calling thanks donna.

      • Carol O.

Ah, Billy, it is SOOOO tempting to, actually, CALL you a name…..you told Donna to stop the name-calling, but all she did was ask how many times you were dropped on your head…and THAT is called “asking a question”, not name-calling. Either you are not very observant or not very intelligent. If you keep “talking”, we will know, for certain, which is true.
Barack Obama DID get his chance, and he has made more destructive changes to this country than most presidents do in their first few years. Unlike you, I’ve lived through a dozen presidents, and I take my obligations as a citizen & a voter, very seriously. I researched Obama’s actions and his background for almost 2 yrs. & it was clear that he was too inexperienced (which he said, himself) & dangerous, too, because of the corrupt Chicago politics that is the basis for all his beliefs and plans for our way of life. You will be paying for what he has done, too, just as we all will. We cannot afford to just sit back & watch if we want there to be enough of our constitution and our money to hand down to our children & grandchildren. I am an independent voter, who examines the voting records, beliefs, experience, public statements, moral character and promises of each candidate running for office before I go into the voting booth. Then I cast my one precious vote according to those things, and I vote my conscience. Neither the candidate’s race nor political party are among those important factors. Based on the information I had obtained before the election last November, I knew that I could not cast my vote for Barack Obama, and he has proven me right, every single day, since then! I WISH, just once, he would prove me wrong.I’ve never been more sorry to be right about someone in all my more-than-60 years.

        • eyeswideopen

Carpl, what did you do when we passed Medicare Advantage Act? You weren’t worried about your children then? It was 2003, but in 2006 White House revised the total to be anywhere from 800 billion to 1.2 trillion, what did you do then? I am just curious about all these Republicans who are worried to death about our children and the money. Where were you guys when it passed? Not a tweet was heard from our party.

        • billy

carol, what are your thoughts on MAX BAUCUS’ healthcare plan?

        • billy

“Barack Obama DID get his chance, and he has made more destructive changes to this country than most presidents do in their first few years.”

like what? be specific. did he not do what he had to do in order to save the country from a depression? if he did nothing(like a republican) we would be in a depression right now- you say you’re old and experienced so you must remember the great depression- no? is that the situation you would have wanted for our country today? i think not. anyway, please tell me what are your thoughts on MAX BAUCUS’ republican healthcare plan?

          • clsygrm

Billy – did you not see what has been happening to our country? Can you not see that Obama is on a path towards his “New Republic” under socialistic rule? Most of the population can see this so why can’t you? BO has broadcasted ‘change’ to us, but what he is really doing is setting us up for socialism and not freedom the way that we know it.

I lived through many presidents and economy ups and downs. None of the other presidents cost us so much and allowed China to buy our debt. BO has already bankrupted our country. His healthcare plan is going to not only bankrupt us, but if people don’t buy a policy they will be fined for not having done so. That’s really bad for people who don’t have the income to afford a policy. Allowing taxation on our health insurance is abomniable! Since when should we pay taxes on insurance? Our govern employees, legislators, etc, won’t have to worry as they won’t be using the same insurance – they get their’s from us taxpayers and are totally exempt.

So please, Billy, wake up and smell the coffee and roses! You need to either go back to school and study American History, review it on line or at your local library. We American’s have defended our Constitution and Bill of Rights. Obama lived in poor muslim controlled countries and is trying to bring that type of life to this country. We don’t want nor need a muslim regime under socialistic, racist rule!

  • Boyd

    Billy
I want you to have whatever you are willing to pay for. Obama has no money, he has to either get the money to pay for his promises from you or from me and I am not going to contribute.

    • billy

“Americans will no longer have to fear bankruptcy caused by medical bills.”

“his proposals would REDUCE COSTS, EXPAND COVERAGE, IMPROVE CARE

and REGULATE the INSURANCE MARKET so that

SICK PEOPLE ARE NO LONGER DENIED COVERAGE.”

this is why we are in a recession, understand the problem first of all then see the solution proposed by the current president:

      THE PROBLEM:

First, george w bush gave the top 1% of wealthy americans tax cuts!! (did you know that the top 1% in this country has more money than the bottom 95 combined? serious, did you know? did you hear about the recession? serious! this happened under the bush administration and under a REPUBLICAN majority) Boyd, are you in the top 1%? i’m not! i work in a fu##ing factory!!

Second, DE-REGULATION! republican controlled white house and senate de- regualated everything- do you see this? c’mon man! go back and research everything that was deregulated in the bush years, please.

Third, that medicare thing the republicans passed in 2003(forgive me i dont know what it was called- i’m a young dude so bear with me and don’t name call for me not knowing what this was called) continuing…

      THE SOLUTION:

So – this is what obama and the democrats and probably 1 or 2 republicans are gonna do:

First, they will stop the unfair advantage(and i see this as a moral issue this is so wrong can you not see this boyd? the top 1%? come on man!) the top 1% of weathy americans have in this country over THE REST OF US.. how? he will put back into place the taxes these wealthy top 1 percenters were paying in the 1990′s. millions of dollars will come from here.

Second, they will regulate the insurance markets; oversee them- and clean up the “pork” which is the term republican john mccain talked about in his campaign- there is something like 7% (i think this is the correct figure??) of the monies in the health insurances that is “pork”.. this adds up to millions of dollars.

Third, that medicare thing which was passed in ’03 will be again overseen to remove the “pork”.

this is how they will pay for this- you boyd, and i are not going to have our taxes raised . dont be fooled by newt gingrich when he sais your taxes will be raised-HE’S NOT TAlKING TO US! he is talking to the wealthy 1% of americans – don’t fall for it dude! (i’m sure some of these 1 percent people are his friends . serious boyd , dont you think newt gingrich knows at least a few people in the top 1 % bracket?) and also please do not fall for newt gingrich’s trickery when he tries to scare senior citizens about the reform that is coming, which has to do with /that2003 thing/ (that the republicans passed under the republican president at that time.) senior citizens are an easy target for newt gingrich’s rhetoric- true.

      please respond boyd. thank you.

      • Robin from Indiana

Billy… I can tell you are young. You are gullible. Our country is a free country. Everyone has the opportunity to better themselves. Some have it handed to them; some work their butts off to get where they want to be. I think the fair thing to do is impose a fair tax and do away with the IRS. Competition between health insurance companies needs to be opened to all states competing. You will then see the costs go down and through competition improvements made in the system. I feel too many people are putting their faith in our leader. Faith should only be placed in God. He and He alone is the only one to rely on. Big government is not the way to go. Our country is a large country and to police it and make sure it is done correctly according to law is going to be an impossibility. We should be allowed to make our own decisions about our health care.

        • Kevin

Yes…very much agreed. But the government intrusion should never happen. If there are only a few million (and no one seems to know the real number) people without insurance, why let the have complete control.

          • eyeswideopen

            W

        • Jeff

If we are talking about health care reform, then all it takes to see that our government wants to have control over our lives is to read the bill(s). All of what the president claims doesn’t tell me what is in those 1000 plus pages of proposed law. They are not going to save us anything in my opinion. It will instead cost a lot. I sincerely believe the government is intent on extracting wealth from all of the people and that it will use all kinds of deceptive means to do so. I do not want to live in a country where the government tells me “You must buy health insurance”. I would prefer to opt out of insurance should I have to choose between insurance and groceries (or a mortgage payment etc.). I went without health coverage for years (a time ago), and it didn’t cost my country anything because of it. I paid all of my doctor bills with no handouts. And I never hear anyone talk about how worthless insurance often is. We definitely have problems that require fixing, but big government control over the people isn’t the answer. Competition in the market place and good moral values in commerce will do the trick. If we could remove the corruption in the system that we already are aware of, costs would come down without any change in our system. We really need to be awake today, our freedom is being threatened in all kinds of ways. Ever seen the movie 300? Brave Heart?

          • Doreen McCoy

You go Jeff for I do not care what the rest of them say. I for one am out raged if we have to pay for illigals to be covered and get everything else they want for free. They get to work here but how come they do not have to pay any taxes for all there FREE things. I am also out raged if they make us buy there insurance for it comes down to, do I pay my mortage or buy there health insurance. I know the answer to that question is for a roof over my head is more important and I suppose I will have to forget about my health. what is good about having health coverage if I do not have a place to live. I also am outraged for all the years of paying into S.S. I do not think there will be such a thing when I need it in 10 years. I also do not understand why B.O. will not show proof of his birth the freakin muslim that he is. We only hear what he wants us to hear and I think he lies a lot. I also do not want anyone telling me I can not be treated for I am to old and not worth saving for that is pure BS. what happened to praying in the schools or the pledge. what constatution. I think every one needs to wake up and smell the coffee for what it is and stop covering his butt. O really does think we are all stupid and he had better wake up before we are all screwed which by the way he is already doing a good job of screwing us. What suckers a lot of you people are. WAKE UP! I was hoping I would not live to see this shit happen but might get my wish for I sure as heck can not afford health insurance on my own. Are we living in the United Sates Of America or what?

Robin, you make perfect sense. Nobody denies anybody from becoming part of the top 1%. It is just few people are willing to work that hard to get there. Like you said, your faith should be put in God not the President, not Congress or the Senate! Faith in God and just knowing that he has a plan for all of us, gives me great comfort. Obama was not the first President to screw up this country and he sure won’t be the last.

          • c lee

I dont post on here often . Mostly I just listen but today I couldnt resist. What fairy tale are you people stuck in that you think hard work will get you into the top 1%. Name someone alive today other than Bill Gates That didnt come from money. And I mean real money like Gates money. I mean there has to be a lot more involved than hard work.

          • David

Totally wrong c lee. There are inovators just waiting out there to get started again. I made more income last year from my side business than my full time job….but not this year or the next. They are removing the very drive (cap&trade, card check, health care) that generates the very taxes that they love so much. So now that tax revenues are surely dropping what do you think will happen and is already happening? RAISE TAXES! Wake up people!

          To Robin, From Indiana:

Billy is probably young, but he is smart, and he has his head on in the right place, and is telling the truth. You are apparently an old, bigot, who is accustomed to having a White President, dancing to their whims, and fancies, just because they were white, forgot that some of them tackled Health Care Reform, but they did not have the spine to get the job done! You are obviously set in your ways, or you are probably rich, and foolish, and you do not know what it is like to be the underdog, who have no insurance, and no money to get healthcare, or you are one of those elitists that gain, from the poor man’s demise. Whatever the reasons for your folly, is irrelevant at this time. I just want to say to you, Robin, that Millions of Americans/Immigrants and their families are without insurance right now as I write, and President Obama’s Health Care Reform is absolutely necessary, for us, all! We never had a President who really care about ****everyone**** in America. President Obama is doing a Great Job, and I am very proud of him. What’s more: I am neither a Democrat, nor a Republican. I am Neutral, but I know when I see quality. I have to be fair, and I will never be a bigot, because BIGOTS have less sense than grave worms, who eat all races, in the grave. I don’t mean to offend you, Robin, but I have to confront issues that are Bigoted/Racist. Let’s all work hard, to build this “beautiful country” called, “America”, which has such great potential, for Prosperity, and Success! However, if we cannot get along with each other, on small human issues, how are we going to get ready to really build, and enjoy the beauty of this country that God has blessed us with? Come on, we are not children. Let’s get together, and “work *together” for our own good, and prosperity. Is that too hard for some Americans to accept? What have we got to lose? Always remember, The “POOR” People, ****are the pillars of a nation****, and if they do not prosper, then “THE RICH *WILL NOT PROSPER”, which is the primary reason why America is so “POOR”, right now! The Poor/Less Fortunate People of this country need someone to really LOOK OUT, AND CARE FOR THEM, and when we do so, then all of us will prosper, TOGETHER! Do you want a prosperous America, or the one we’re in right now? Let’s look out for each other, Please?

          D

I was going to write more and address Robin from Indiana but Sue C said so much of what I was going to say I will not but a couple of things about billy, well he may be young and you fault that as the reason for his thinking being good but I am old and I see ham as having reached at a young age the wisdom of age as few do, he espouses more knowledge about the realities of these issues than about 90% of those posting here who biases and feelings drives their conclusions and ignore the truth and the facts which Sue C and billy seem to have well in hand and those who put them down would be well advised to listen to what they have actually said then you would have a better understanding of what they are saying and gain insight and knowledge from their perspective but as long as there closed minds this is not possible

          • JeffH

Get on with your racist rhetoric!

          • Michelle Ortega

            Spoken like a true COMMUNIST

          • clsygrm

Sue C – Indiana knows what she is talking about. I lived in mixed areas and have faced reversed discrimination. Nobody cares if the black American sticks it to the white American. That’s truly wrong as when the shoe is on the other foot the blacks all scream foul play!

As for Barry’s mixed blood, that is what he is – mixed white w/black, and his hatred for white people – is not what the American population voted for. Those of you who fell under his ‘rhetoric change’ spell should look to IL and see what he did all of those 8 years in office. Next to nil! Oops – he was bosum bud’s with the local mob and learned his politics at the knee of the mob. Not what an American President needs to be no matter whether he is white, black, hispanic or mixed with several races! His inability to clear his own citizenship just shows how much a liar he really is. He came to this country as a ‘non american’ under the name Barry Soetoro – his adoptive father’s last name. His mother had 2 black muslim husbands, not just one. He was raised in Indonesia, not Hawaii, by his mom and step-dad, not his grandparents. In his own words he stated he went to one of the best muslim schools in the teachings of jhead. He says he is christian but Shari Law states that one a muslim, always a muslim.

So, to keep it straight and narrow, Barrack lied to us about his upbringing, parents, and who knows if he really ever got nationalized??? His original birth certicate is sealed and locked up in Kenya due to the screams from outraged US citizens. His Hawaiian birth certificate was issued while his parents lived there during the time that Hawaii became a state and anyone living there could get a US birth certificate w/o much scrutiny. Why would he want to conceal his real birthright – because he is Kenyan and a British Subject and not able to legally be president of the US is why! I read his first blog when he started running for president and he has used his ‘change’ rhetoric on it so much that it never stayed the same very long. Makes for a real line of lines. His teleprompter is what keeps him going as he can’t give a speech without one! His biggest assets are his gift of rhetoric. While in Kenya and chanting out his ‘change’ rhetoric he caused a huge upheaval and that country is now in poverty. Just what we can look forward to – losing our rights, being told what we can and can’t do, being fined if we can’t afford health insurance just like when caught driving without car insurance, paying a hefty tax on the health insurance to keep cash cow flowing for bankrupt government. New Republic with socialism, marxism, stalinism and no real rights to anything including freedom of speech and right to own a gun. Stop and think about it – do you want to live like the Chinese, Russians, Cubans? Those people all want to immigrate here – doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out why. We have FREEDOM – they don’t where they live so they want to come here and enjoy ours!

The color of Obama’s skin isn’t what people are upset about – it is his inability to lead our country and his constant trying to push what he wants on us no matter what. No democracy in this scenaro – just plain socialism at its basic task – subjacating the people to its own desires and whims!

          • American Citizen

I am sick of you people who call those of us who are critical of the Government’s plan racists. You are the true racists as that is what you are looking for. Obama can be purple and you would still call us racists. You have a rude awakening coming.

      • Terry

Billy, Come out of fantasyland, we will ALL be taxed into Bankruptcy. Do you want to pay for 12 million Illegals because they will be covered. How about the 8 t0 10 million who Can afford Ins. but don’t buy it? Wake up man your Messiah is selling us down the river….

        • Smilee

You need to get your head out of the sand and get some fresh air to clear your brain and then you will see the realities that billy see.

        • billy

no terry i dont want to pay for the aliens- do you?

        • eyeswideopen

Terry, then you better check with Rep. Wilson who voted for the medicare bill in 2003 when it has provisions to pay the hospitals for care for the illegal immigrants!!! Talk to your elected officials who lied to you and voted for that bill… don’t be hypocrites, you really don’t have a leg to stand on, if you didn’t try to get the Medicare Advantage Bill repealed.

      • David

Billy, no need to worry. You will soon be a sheeple with hands out begging. I work in a f’n factory too and let me tell you your president could care less about industry or have you forgot about cap and trade? I’ve been to DC twice working it for my industry. What a joke.

Even if your plant does not emit CO2, it surely must use electricity…and I hope you live in the heavy fossil midwest. Wait and see what happens to your job when your plant can’t compete because it’s utility bills have gone out of sight….Wait a minute, isn’t that a tax on everyone? Yes your own utility bills will be increaasing too if cap/trade passes.

So how can you say that the middle class will not bear the burden of funding the health care plan? More and more factories will close meaning those of us who do work…including those wonderful small businesses that fund 70% of the US payroll will take on more and more of the burden. What happens when the thugs unionize the health care system? Then it will end up like gov motors…a big fat waste of tax payers’ money that no one wants. The only problem is we will not be able to choose our health care provider like we can our non-union built cars…give’m hell Toyota!

          • David

Ok Smilee, I wanted her to add something to her comment. If you read what I said it can be boiled down into we do not want the gov taking over anything else. They (both parties) screw up everything they touch. So why give them 1/6 of our GDP? Why pass cap/trade without greenhouse gas free nuke power? Because there is nothing to tax. It really is simple to see what is going on if you will open your eyes.

And I noticed that Billy refered me to a NY Times article…give me a break. Man when you reach your 40′s, I bet your perspective will be different. If you are true liberals then we have nothing to debate.

DAVID: obama is for the working man; bush so obviously was not. and i dont think obama is the messiah; dont confuse us with the previous bush supporters, i am giving him a chance to do whats right; and what he says he’s going to do , you might refer to it as gospel, thats fine but he hasnt been there long enough to deserve all this hate. if he f’s up then i am not going to take the stance of the bush supporters who stuck by him and who still to this day think he did nothing wrong when he did everything wrong. anyway check this out (and thnx 4 the post dude)

“Mr. Obama ordered the tire tariffs after the United States International Trade Commission, an independent government agency, determined that a more than tripling of Chinese tire imports had disrupted the $1.7 billion tire market. It called for imposing tariffs on Chinese tires for three years.

President George W. Bush had rejected four similar recommendations from the trade commission, angering organized labor.”

Mike is right on Billy. Is your f’n factory union ran? If so and you belong then I understand why you think like you do. I work for a 100 plus year old privately held company (thank the Lord) and have visited many of the big 3 union shops and I understand now why they are struggling. Too bad they couldn’t have gone through a real legal bankruptcy.

          • David

Eyes, what do you mean “nothing is stopping them”? It is already done. The reason why Chap 11 was not done properly is because the first thing to go would have been the unions. They completely suck at productivity. obama had to repay them for all the donations.

David, as Gm shows, reorganization can work.

Smilee, get real the Middle Class is the Working Class. My husband worked as a supervisor in our local hospital for 35 years and it was only the last year he worked that he made $50,000. The new hire made and 1/2 time that much. I was always so angry because his experience didn’t count, only the fact he didn’t have that “degree”, even though he took all kinds of classes to keep up with whatever was new. We were able to raise 6 children even sending them to private schools. I took a part time job after the 5th child to help pay for this. Everything I earned went to their education. I’m proud to say we have 2 nurses, a teacher, a CPA, a medical assistant, and the oldest who works for the Navy. He’s a Navy vet and a computer whiz and has a couple of patents. We worked in the home and outside the home and tried to be a good example for what a good American citizen is. We voted in every election, local, state and federal. We contribute to charity as much as we are able, live in our own home (paid for), and do all we can to make our community a great place to live (and it is).
I fear for the direction this country is going.

          David says:

Its 1/6 of our GDP because the government did not take control years ago and left most of it to the private sector, that is why all other countries have so much smaller portion of their GDP for health care and have better outcomes as is shown by the WHO study and a two other studies and all three studies are similar in their findings, if you would open your eyes you would see the problems and then maybe could offer some solutions instead of crying foul and NO and the sky is falling rhetoric. You people amaze me with your tightly closed minds, nothing to debate if you are true liberals, open minds listen to everyone before they dismiss what they have to say, close minds do not listen and that is why you remain ignorant and your scorn of the times says that too, you do not have to agree with the times but unless you have first hand what they say and because it is the times dismiss it you will never really know what they say, you could learn a lot from billy as it is his open mind that makes him so knowledgeable and leaves you in the dust

          • clsygrm

Smilee – you are wrong – GREED is what is wrong with the health care system as it now stands. We need reform, just not the kind that is being rammed at us. What needs to be done is regulations installed to keep the insurers from hiking the rates skyhigh, take out pre-existing conditions, stop penalizing older people when younger people have babies and get catastrophic ailments to. Rates need to be more in line with what the income median is, not set to line a CEO’s pocket! Doctors need to be allowed to make the decision to operate or not, not some insurance adjudicator sitting in an office someplace who gives a rat’s ass about the patient or his outcome. Lawyers need to stop with the outrageous lawsuits, juries need to stop with the outrageous settlements for rediculous suits like someone who is dying from lung cancer and still won’t stop smoking! These are all rediculous and are all going on everyday of the week!

Our health care needs reform, but not what is being handed to us. The porkers haven’t gotten all of their pork into the bill as yet and they also haven’t finished slashing Medicare/Medicaide which will put all those using it on a downslide because we can’t afford to pay the new ‘spend down’ amounts that will be required to offset the bill. I get Medicare/Medicaide and I don’t have a large enough SSD grant to afford an insurance policy. It is the best I can do to purchase my death insurance so that my kids will have enough money to bury me.

Our elected officials took SS out of the protected fund and put it into the general fund so that they could raid it for pork, allow foreign immigrants benefits even though they never worked one minute in this country, and filled it with IOU’s that will never ever be repaid! Because of this, those who paid into SS may never see any of it if they are in their 50′s and below. For those of us who do receive it, we really don’t know how long we will have this income to live on. I worked my 44 qtr’s and had to fight 4 years to get SSD because I’m white and a woman with CFS. For foreigners to be able to get SS or SSD w/o ever having worked in this country and not required to fight with a lawyer in order to get benefits, this is a real slap to all of the working American people who pay into the system every day. My income comes from your payments. With jobs going away due to companies closing or relocating the work off US soil, who is going to pay for SS, SSD or SSI? Certainly not Obama or any of our elected officials! Just us taxpayers who are all losing our jobs. The recession may have started with Bush, but Congress was Democratic Majority and they are the ones pushing the buttons. Bush wasn’t the greatest, but he also wasn’t the worst. He put us in Iraq and BO is doing the same with Afganistan – different country – same loss of American soldiers! Now Iraq is struggling to clean up the mess we made and left for them. Who is going to finish cleaning up that mess?? Obviously not us. Same with Afganistan.

American’s need to stand up for our Country, our Constitution and our Bill of Rights! Remember JFK – what you can do for your country, not what your country can do for you. Makes perfect sense unless you like a socialism, racist, country where you have no rights – like China, Russia, Cuba and any other communist run country!

CLys. some of what you say is true, however, Obama didn’t put us in the Afgan war, Bush did. The policies started in 1999 when the Repubs had control of Congress (deregulation) is what caused this fiscal mess. It wasn’t possible for the Dem’s to be the cause of this,,, it took years for the Wall Street greedy, lying cheating CEO’s along with the private lending companies, the bond rating companies, to wreck this country. It was over a period of time from 1999 to 2007 that the effects of deregulation had in every fiscal concern in this country. It didn’t just happen over night or we would have been able to address and correct immediately. But since you are a Repub you will never accept any responsiblity. So just remember that you reap what you sow and we did have control from 1995 to 2007 in the house and sentate. Try to argue those facts. Oh and we did pass Medicare to the tune of 800 billion in 2003, but I’m sure that didn’t have any effect on the problem as we had so much tax money after Bush gave that 1.88 trillion cut to the riches in America that we didn’t worry.

I actually agree with you on some points especially the GREED part, but about 90% or your post is angry venting and contributes little to this debate on policy, The fact you qualify for both Medicate and Medicaid tells me you pay nothing for health care because of your low income status, I agree that both Medicare and Medicaid need reform as it does not work well the way it is funded. I see Average Joe is spouting off with his usual venom and showing his lack of character.again

In reading your rants your are a paid pimp for Obama or you just don’t understand economics even though you think you do.

        • billy

william- what will you say if this healthcare thing works? you will try to give republicans the credit for it- you will refer to the new fox news newt gingrich catch phrase of 80% of the bill is supported by republicans, yes this is what they’re saying now-80% support- anyway.

same mentality here like in the same way when things went wrong for bush -republicans said it was clintons fault 911 happened meanwhile it happened under bush’s watch/ just a side note here> now dick cheney is blaming richard clarke for 911 but back then it was blamed on clinton- anyway.

and let me tell you something true- if obama had been president at that time he would not have sat in a chair for seven fu**ing minutes when he heard the words “the country is under attack” .

          • Michael

The first attack on the World Trade Center happened under Clinton’s watch. The bombing of the US Cole happened under the Clinton administration. It is as a result of this perceived weakness on the part of Bill Clinton that 911 occurred. It’s not your fault that you missed these things, you probably had collick on those days.

          • billy

michael i cannot”reply” to you- there is no “reply” button underneath all of your rhetoric.

but you should apologize to anyone who was personally affected by 911- i dont think a single one of them republicans included thought that it was clintons fault, nor did they appreciate bush saying that on national television, nor do they appreciate dick cheney saying , flat out i might add!!!!!!!!!, that it was richard clarkes fault- shame on you just like joe wilson shameful tongues on the right. gross.

      • Ron

billy: As you say, you are a young dude, and cannot remember all of that stuff that happened in the 90′s and 2000′s. I am an old dude, and I do remember all of these things. I remember then President George Bush and his administration calling repeatedly for more oversight of the financial markets and specifically Fannie Mae and its ilk. No way was Barney Frank and Chris Dodd going to allow that. Those agencies were their playground and they received substantial monetary support from them.
billy, can you explain how the number of uninsured, as stated by President Obama, dropped from 47 million earlier this summer to 30 million during his speech the other day? Magical, don’t you think? Maybe if we wait a couple more months it will drop by another 10 or 15 million.
The point of this is that Obama is not telling us the truth. His claim that we can provide medical insurance coverage for 30 or 47 million americans without it costing us a dime is simply to incredible for anyone to believe. Obama claims that he will get billions out of waste, fraud and abuse in Medicare. Good. Every politician over the last 20 to 30 years has made the same claim. How has that worked out for us?
There simply is no such thing as a free lunch. Obama cannot waive a maqic wand and make everything better. Before you say one more thing about how he is going to make our life better, you had better bone-up on a few facts. Start by learning about the history of the Great Society. Learn about the history of Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security. Learn about the fiscal health of those programs. We cannot have people who know nothing preach to us about the virtues of Obama care.

you know how they like to twist things- george bush in fact is now in th eprocess of re-writing history- when the history books come out it will say bush was the greatest man to ever walk the earth- theyre involved with the publishers of these things- you wait and seee, and if you think this is untrue- ask yourself this- how difficult can it be for a man who took us into iraq manipulate history books by being in the same circle as the publishers of these things?? not very!

          • Average Joe

Hey Smilee, want facts?…here you go….

How many people actually realize that the United States Government is a corporation? How many people realize that thier State, County and Cities are members of that same corporation? Don’t believe me?

            Historical Outline

1st: Martial Law is declared by President Lincoln on April 24th, 1863, with General Orders No. 100; under martial law authority, Congress and President Lincoln institute continuous martial law by ordering the states (people) either conscribe troops and or provide money in support of the North or be recognized as enemies of the nation; this martial law Act of Congress is still in effect today. This martial law authority gives the President (with or without Congress) the dictatorial authority to do anything that can be done by government in accord with the Constitution of the United States of America. This conscription act remains in effect to this very day and is the foundation of Presidential Executive Orders authority; it was magnified in 1917 with The Trading with the Enemy Act (Public Law 65-91, 65th Congress, Session I, Chapters 105, 106, October 6, 1917). and again in 1933 with the Emergency War Powers Act, which is ratified and enhanced almost every year to this date by Congress. Today these Acts address the people of the United States themselves as their enemy.

2nd: The District of Columbia Organic Act of 1871 created a “municipal corporation” to govern the District of Columbia. Considering the fact that the municipal government itself was incorporated in 1808, an “Organic Act” (first Act) using the term “municipal corporation” in 1871 can only mean a private corporation owned by the municipality. Hereinafter we will call that private corporation, “Corp. U.S.” By consistent usage, Corp. U.S. trademarked the name, “United States Government” referring to themselves. The District of Columbia Organic Act of 1871 places Congress in control (like a corporate board) and gives the purpose of the act to form a governing body over the municipality; this allowed Congress to direct the business needs of the government under the existent martial law and provided them with corporate abilities they would not otherwise have. This was done under the constitutional authority for Congress to pass any law within the ten mile square of the District of Columbia.

3rd: In said Act, Corp. U.S. adopted their own constitution (United States Constitution), which was identical to the national Constitution (Constitution of the United States of America) except that it was missing the national constitution’s 13th Amendment and the national constitution’s 14th, 15th and 16th amendments are respectively numbered 13th, 14th and 15th amendments in the Corp. U.S. Constitution. At this point take special notice and remember this Corp. U.S. method of adopting their own Constitution, they will add to it in the same manner in 1913.

4th: Corp. U.S. began to generate debts via bonds etc., which came due in 1912, but they could not pay their debts so the 7 families that bought up the bonds demanded payment and Corp. U.S. could not pay. Said families settled the debt for the payments of all of Corp. U.S.’ assets and for all of the assets of the Treasury of the United States of America.

5th: As 1913 began, Corp. U.S. had no funds to carry out the necessary business needs of the government so they went to said families and asked if they could borrow some money. The families said no (Corp. U.S. had already demonstrated that they would not repay their debts in full). The families had foreseen this situation and had the year before finalized the creation of a private corporation of the name “Federal Reserve Bank”. Corp. U.S. formed a relationship with the Federal Reserve Bank whereby they could transact their business via note rather than with money. Notice that this relationship was one made between two private corporations and did not involve government; that is where most people error in understanding the Federal Reserve Bank system—again it has no government relation at all. The private contracts that set the whole system up even recognize that if anything therein proposed is found illegal or impossible to perform it is excluded from the agreements and the remaining elements remain in full force and effect.

6th: Almost simultaneously with the last fact (also in 1913), Corp. U.S. adopts (as if ratified) their own 16th amendment. Tax protesters challenge the IRS tax collection system based on this fact, however when we remember that Corp. U.S. originally created their constitution by simply drafting it and adopting it; there is no difference between that adoption and this—such is the nature of corporate enactments—when the corporate board (Congress) tells the secretary to enter the amendment as ratified (even thought the States had not ratified it) the Se3cretary was instructed that the Representatives word alone was sufficient for ratification. You must also note, this amendment has nothing to do with our nation, with our people or with our national Constitution, which already had its own 16th amendment. The Supreme Court (in BRUSHABER v. UNION PACIFIC R. CO., 240 U.S. 1 (1916)) ruled the 16th amendment did nothing that was not already done other than to make plain and clear the right of the United States (Corp. U.S.) to tax corporations and government employees. We agree, considering that they were created under the authority of Corp. U.S.

7th: Next (also 1913) Corp. U.S., through Congress, adopts (as if ratified) its 17th amendment. This amendment is not only not ratified, it is not constitutional; the nation’s Constitution forbids Congress from even discussing the matter of where Senators are elected, which is the subject matter of this amendment; therefore they cannot pass such and Act and then of their own volition, order it entered as ratified. According to the United States Supreme Court, for Congress to propose such an amendment they would first have to pass an amendment that gave them the authority to discuss the matter.

8th: Accordingly, in 1914, the Freshman class and all Senators that successfully ran for reelection in 1913 by popular vote were seated in Corp. U.S. Senate capacity only; their respective seats from their States remained vacant because neither the State Senates nor the State Governors appointed new Senators to replace them as is still required by the national Constitution for placement of a national Senator.

9th: In 1916, President Wilson is reelected by the Electoral College but their election is required to be confirmed by the constitutionally set Senate; where the new Corp. U.S. only Senators were allowed to participate in the Electoral College vote confirmation the only authority that could possibly have been used for electoral confirmation was corporate only. Therefore, President Wilson was not confirmed into office for his second term as President of the United States of America and was only seated in the Corp. U.S. Presidential capacity. Therefore the original jurisdiction government’s seats were vacated because the people didn’t seat any original jurisdiction government officers. It is important to note here that President Wilson retained his capacity as Commander in Chief of the military. Many people wonder about this fact imagining that such a capacity is bound to the President of the nation; however, When John Adams was President he assigned George Washington to the capacity of Commander in Chief of the military in preparation for an impending war with France. During this period, Mr. Adams became quite concerned because Mr. Washington became quite ill and passed on his acting military authority through his lead General Mr. Hamilton and Mr. Adams was concerned that if war did break out Mr. Hamilton would use that authority to create a military dictatorship of the nation. Mr. Adams averted the war through diplomacy and the title of Commander in Chief was returned to him.
(See: John Adams, by David McCullough, this book covers Mr. Adams concerns over this matter quite well. Mr. Adams was a fascinating man.)

10th: In 1917, Corp. U.S. enters W.W. I and passes their Trading with the Enemies Act.

11th: In 1933, Corp. U.S. is bankrupt, they force a banking holiday to exchange money backed Federal Reserve Notes with “legal tender” Federal Reserve Notes the Trading with the Enemies Act is adjusted to recognize the people of the United States as enemies of Corp. U.S.

12th: Some time after 1935, you ask Social Security Administration for a relationship with their program. With the express purpose of generating Beneficiary funds to United States General Trust Fund (GTF) the Social Security Administration creates an entity with a name (that sounds like your name but is spelled with all capital letters) and an account number (Social Security number). They give you the Social Security card and let you know that the card does not belong to you but you are to hold it for them until they want it back. If you are willing to accept that responsibility over the card you activate the card by signing it, which gives you the ability to act as the fiduciary for the cards actual owner Corp. U.S. and you can use the card’s name and number to thus transact business relations for the card’s actual owner. You are also to note that though the card verifies its agency (you as the single person with authority to control the entity so created) it is not for use as identification. On review: notice the Social Security Administration was the creator of the entity, they offered you the opportunity to serve its Trustee capacity (by lending it actual consciousness and physical capacity), they gave you something (the card) that does not belong to you to hold in trust and they reserved the actual owner of the thing (Corp. U.S.) as the beneficiary of the entity—by definition, this only describes the creation and existence of a Trust. More importantly: the name they gave this Trust is not your name, the number they gave the Trust is not your number and your lending actual consciousness and physical capacity to this Trust’s Trustee capacity does not limit you or your capacity to separately act in your natural sovereign capacity in any way—what you do, when you do it and how you do it is still totally up to you.

13th: In 1944, under the Bretton Woods Agreement, Corp. U.S. is quit claimed to the International Monetary Fund, and becomes a foreign controlled private corporation.14th: In 1968, at the National Governor’s Conference in Lexington, Kentucky, the IMF leaders of the event proposed the dilemma the State governors were in for carrying out their business dealings in Federal Reserve Notes (foreign notes), which is forbidden in the national and State constitutions, alleging that if they did not do something to protect themselves the people would discover what had been done with their money and would likely to kill them all and start over. They suggested the States form corporations like Corp. U.S. and showed the advantages of the resultant uniform codes that could be created, which would allow better and more powerful control over the people, which thing the original jurisdiction governments of this nation had no capacity to do. Our Constitutions secure that the governments do not govern the people rather they govern themselves in accord with the limits of Law. The people govern themselves. Such is the foundational nature of our Constitutional Republic.

15th: By 1971, every State government in the union of States had formed such private corporations (Corp. State), in accord with the IMF admonition, and the people ceased to seat original jurisdiction government officials in their State government seats.

Now, having stated these historical facts, I ask you not to believe me, but rather prove these facts for yourself.
Next, consider this. What is the purpose of a corporation? To make money for thier shareholders.Who are the shareholders for the United States Government?…the people that we supposedly “elect” to office. So who are they passing legislation to help?…is it the people or is it for the “shareholders”? The same holds true for State, County and City Governments.

When you find there is no error in this historical outline, then remember these simple facts and let no one dissuade you from the truth.

The Bottom Line: when you speak about these private foreign corporations remember that is what they are and stop calling them government.

Further, it is very important that we cease to attempt to fix them. It is far more important that we learn how to reseat our original jurisdiction government and spread the word about the truth. By reseating our State and national governments in their original jurisdiction nature, we gain the capacity to hold these private foreign corporations accountable. They owe us a lot of money, in fact they owe us more money than there is available in the world. In fact it is impossible for them to pay and that gives us the leverage we need to take back our nation and put things right. The process is a simple one. The difficulty is in getting our people to wake up to the truth. That’s why I ask you to prove the truth for yourself.

That means that you must stop acting and communicating like you are anything other than the sovereign that God created you to be. And, stop referring to Corp. U.S. or the STATE OF ‘X’ as anything other than the private foreign corporations that they are. And, finally, stop listening to the Bigfoot Patriot Mythology that is espoused by those that only give these facts lip service.

It’s time to wake up and follow the truth, time to repent and become a moral and honorable society instead of lauding our Piety while we stand guilty of:
            a) not knowing the truth;
            b) not living the truth;
            c) believing God will save us even though we have the tools to know the truth the ability to use the tools but we refuse to live by the truth and use the tools we have to save ourselves and thereby become free.

The biggest problem with people getting all excited about uniting against the tyranny of Corp. U.S. is that they are blind to the truth having no remedy so they bail out of “the system” hell bent for a rebellion that even the scripture says cannot be won with conventional weapons of war. Would that we could instead follow the admonition of the King of Kings and unite with truth to legally, lawfully and peacefully reseat our original jurisdiction government thereby taking back the control our nation in accord with law.

The deterioration of every government begins with the decay of the principles on which it was founded.
            Montesquieu (1689–1755)

Good intentions will always be pleaded for every assumption of authority. It is hardly too strong to say that the Constitution was made to guard the people against the dangers of good intentions. There are men in all ages who mean to govern well, but they mean to govern. They promise to be good masters, but they mean to be masters.

So, Ron,,I guess you remember in 1999 when they deregulated the Banking industry correct? They thought the banking and wallstreet crews would have restraint and not do anything illegal, that they would be self governed. Are you kidding me? We might have been able to weather this out, if Bush hadn’t cut the tax rate for the richest 1% in the country, costing us lost revenue of 1.88 TRILLION dollars. We might have been able to cover the cost of the wars, except, they passed the Medicare Advantage Bill in 2003 which is costing over 800 Billion. So, I’d say that fiscally they just sucked.

Republicans should be trying to repeal medicare!!!!,

So Eyes, did you even read what Joe said? Is that all you got from it? Have you noticed that only a few people here keep bashing one side or the other….so you, Smiles and Billy must be liberals; it’s all you know how to do. Do you really want the system corrected? I think not or you just like to stir the pot.

Hey I guess most of us here then must be liars, which makes us a racist too. I can’t believe your kind pulled Carter out of the grave to tell the whites that they are racists if they do not agree to healt care reform. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!

Most here do not tell the truth david , not sure though I would call them liars or even racists but at minimum just individuals who are incapable of intelligent thought, you say your kind pulled Carter out of the grave, (he is still alive and not in a grave, just more of your lack of intelligent thought) fact is liberals are capable and think for themselves and what Carter said was what Carter felt and we may agree with him or not that is OK but do not have to as conservative are expected to do with their leaders positions and that is why they all speak the same and have no understanding why they do. Where the hell did you get it that if you are for health care reform that you must be racist, ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Let’s face it all the BS you see here and coming mostly from the conservatives everywhere, is deeds and words designed to kill health care reform as their leaders want to keep the status quo, meaning they are OK with sick people dying because they cannot get times medical care, constant bankruptcies because of it , denial of coverage’s, excessive premiums and copays, insurance companies, managed care, HMO’s etc getting between you and your doctor and limiting your choice of doctors and hospitals and until 2003 in Medicare when they let the Hmo’s etc in you had full choice there to and no interference from any of the insurance companies or the government. That’s what you are fighting to keep and I doubt you fully understand it but a few here do and billie sure does. What your leaders are really fighting for and using you as their leverage is to keep it so health care can keep making big dollars the easy way, they no longer earn it the old fashion way and truly work for it. No fool in their right mind would think the private sector will fix this without the boot of the federal government in their tails and that is what this is really all about, we will have a new health care law soon but it remains to see how effective the powerful lobbies are in gutting the effectiveness of it out of the bill and you are part of that lobby weather you are aware of it or not.

Hey Smilee, Did I not invite you to do the research and prove me wrong? Are you not intelligent enough to do the research? Are you just another loudmouthed, know nothing, ignorant sheeple that is too lazy to find the truth out for yourself?Once you do the work, you have a right to debate me on the issue, however I am not worried about the debate happening at all…you fit into the latter catagory…too friggin lazy.Unless you do the work and prove me wrong (based on facts that you can back up),I feel the need to engage you in any pointed disccussion would be moot. In order to debate you must come armed with at least some modicum of intelligence (of which I have seen no signs from you or your good buddy Billy)
Keep believing that you are superior to everyone else, but please don’t expect me to engage in further waste of my time trying to educate someone that obviously thinks they know everything about everything already. Someday, you may wake up…I don’t count on that happening….until you’re neck deep in the crap you allowed to happen because you were too arrogant and ignorant to affect a change.
So, at this point, either do the work and disprove me…or open a nice can of STFU…because you have nothing worth saying to me and I wont waste my time answering stupidity. I will answer…FACTS..which of course…you have none.
All of the resources are listed above, although, I doubt you can follow the documents to a logical conclusion ( I personally don’t think you are that bright).

A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves money from the public treasure. From that moment on the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most money from the public treasury, with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy followed by a dictatorship.

            1. Bail out private institutions using taxpayer funds
            2. Bail out GM,Amtrak etc. using taxpayer funds
            3. Introduce any national healthcare upon the american people.

Don’t knock yourself out too bad looking for it…it doesn’t exist.

Suppose that every day, ten men go out for beer and the bill for all ten comes to $100. If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this: * The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing. * The fifth would pay $1. * The sixth would pay $3. * The seventh would pay $7. * The eighth would pay $12. * The ninth would pay $18. * The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59. So, that’s what they decided to do. The ten men drank in the bar every day and seemed quite happy with the arrangement, until one day, the owner threw them a curve. ‘Since you are all such good customers,’ he said, ‘I’m going to reduce the cost of your daily beer by $20.’ ‘Drinks for the ten now cost just $80.’ The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes so the first four men were unaffected. They would still drink for free. But what about the other six men – the paying customers? How could they divide the $20 windfall so that everyone would get his ‘fair share?’ They realized that $20 divided by six is $3.33. But if they subtracted that from everybody’s share, then the fifth man and the sixth man would each end up being paid to drink his beer. So, the bar owner suggested that it would be fair to reduce each man’s bill by roughly the same amount, and he proceeded to work out the amounts each should pay. And so: * The fifth man, like the first four, now paid nothing (100% savings). * The sixth now paid $2 instead of $3 (33%savings). * The seventh now pay $5 instead of $7 (28%savings). * The eighth now paid $9 instead of $12 ( 25% savings). * The ninth now paid $14 instead of $18 ( 22% savings). * The tenth now paid $49 instead of $59 (16% savings). Each of the six was better off than before. And the first four continued to drink for free. But once outside the restaurant, the men began to compare their savings. ‘I only got a dollar out of the $20,’declared the sixth man. He pointed to the tenth man,’but he got $10!’ ‘Yeah, that’s right,’ exclaimed the fifth man. ‘I only saved a dollar, too. It’s unfair that he got ten times more than I!’ ‘That’s true!!’ shouted the seventh man. ‘Why should he get $10 back when I got only two? The wealthy get all the breaks!’ ‘Wait a minute,’ yelled the first four men in unison. ‘We didn’t get anything at all. The system exploits the poor!’ The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up. The next night the tenth man didn’t show up for drinks, so the nine sat down and had beers without him. But when it came time to pay the bill, they discovered something important. They didn’t have enough money between all of them for even half of the bill! And that, boys and girls, journalists and college professors, is how our tax system works. The people who pay the highest taxes get the most benefit from a tax reduction. Tax them too much, attack them for being wealthy, and they just may not show up anymore. In fact, they might start drinking overseas where the atmosphere is somewhat friendlier. For those who understand, no explanation is needed. For those who do not understand, no explanation is possible
Whoever came up with this is brilliant!

Read what they’re saying!!! They’re proposing to limit medical spending accounts to $2000. I use all $5000 of my account every year. that means I will pay 28% of $3000 or $840 MORE. This is a tax.

This is just the beginning. You don’t know what is in this bill – you better read it and not just believe the one liners that they’re telling you – EITHER SIDE! If they don’t want to allow illegal aliens to take part, why was the amendment to require checks (using the E-Verify system) voted down? I’ll tell you why, because they want the votes of all the Hispanics so their brothers, mothers, grandmothers, and gazillions of other relatives can come here and get free health care. Try to get free health care in Mexico and they ask you for a credit card!

What’s happening under this president is a travesty to the country. He’s mortgaging my kids futures, their kids futures, and even beyond that. He talked about the debt left by Bush then went on to make Bush’s debt look like chump change. This guy is the biggest hypocrit I have ever seen in my life and that even includes the adulterous Clinton!

The average age of the world’s great civilizations has been two hundred years. These nations have progressed through the following sequence: from bondage to spiritual faith, from spiritual faith to great courage, from courage to liberty, from liberty to abundance, from abundance to selfishness, from selfishness to complacency from complacency to apathy, from apathy to dependency, from dependency back to bondage.
        Alexander Tytler (1747–1813)
Hey Billy, any idea where we are on that list?

Good intentions will always be pleaded for every assumption of authority. It is hardly too strong to say that the Constitution was made to guard the people against the dangers of good intentions. There are men in all ages who mean to govern well, but they mean to govern. They promise to be good masters, but they mean to be masters.
        Noah Webster (1758–1843)
Hey Billy, enjoy your new master!

If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.
        Samuel Adams (1722–1803)
Hey Billy, are you still here?…why?

        • eyeswideopen

hey, Average Joe, guess what this is 2009, and we don’t want to go back to the time of dirt floors and no electric, we much prefer to fix our system rather than trashing it.

          • Average Joe

Excuse me?Who said anything about dirt floors and no electricity? It is about the principles upon which this nation was founded, ideals concerning being free as human beings to live our lives without having others enforcing their personal morals and veiws. Each and every person has the basic right to have their own beleifs and no one has the right to force their personal veiws on another. If you want free healthcare, socialism, etc; that is fine and dandy, however, you have no right to force it on anyone else…period. This nation was founded as a Constitutional REPUBLIC, not a Democracy (the only thing that was democratic was the proccess of electing officials). The Governments sole responsibilty to the nation is to enforce the people’s basic RIGHT’s as spelled out in the Constitution and Bill of Right’s. There are 17 enumerated powers given to the national government in the constitution and no others.
We as people should be looking at smaller federal government.More should be done on the state and local government levels. We want to be more helping to others (I get that, and am all for it)but we should be try to do things more locally and get the federal/national government out of our personal lives, they have no business in it to begin with. Want better health coverage? How about going to your county commission meeting and rally them to set up a co-op through the insurance co. to insure the entire county, city, or any other way you wish to set it up.Pay the tax to the county instead of the state or feds (that way you still keep the money local). Fix things in this nation….one city at a time, one person at a time. Elect people in your city that wants to obey the Constitution and the rule of law. Stop convicting people for victimless crimes (most of those crimes are about taking cash from the average citizen, because we have the moral police and moral laws) Who’s moarls are they? do we not each have our own set of morals? So long as we as people do not infringe upon anyone else’s constitutional rights, we have committed no crime.
Get the fed out of business completely, federal regulation is is actually hurting capitalism. How can you compete in business if everyone is stuck to the same guidelines? By going local on regulations, it would stimulate competion from neighboring cities, insurance, sevice’s etc.
This in turn stimulates price drops (supply and demand ie. if I have a product and you have they same product and I can sell mine for 20% less than you…guess who is gonna sell more product?). This is just basic economics. The key is you must stimulate competition and to do that we need the feds out of it.The same with education…feds out…locals in. Do you not think that you would have more say on your childs education if it was handled locally than with the fed involved?
Would rather see the city, local church and community pitching in to help Mrs. Smith down the block, who’s husband recently passed away and left her with 2 kids and a ton of bills or the feds handing out money to the banks that screwed up, paid themself exuberant sums of money and then have the audacity to ask us to bail them out?
I guess what I am trying to say is that we can do things much better and much more efficiently locally than we can ever hope to do it on a national level. Please take some time and think about it, I believe it is the only way will ever fix this nation.
Thanks for listening and I hope it makes a difference to someone out there.

Thank God I am not the only one that gets it. Obama is for us the poor. The 95% I went to Wales this year because my daughter lives there. She had her baby there.Did not cost her anything. There health care covers everyone.Rich or poor. But guess what if you have your own health care you can keep it. Just like Obama wants to do for us. Do they pay more taxes? yes. But they do not lose there homes because they have to file.ON HEALTH CARE BILLS.Iam lucky enought to have good health care coverage. But they have raised mine TWO TIMES IN FOUR MONTHS.So how lucky am I going to be in 5 years from now when I can no longer pay? By the way The Hospital was wonderful,Not fancy but clean,They are way more advanced than us I was very impressed. Give Obama chance, Every one has a right to have health care.It is a need. Not a want.

Women have babies here in the US everyday and it doesn’t cost them
anything. It’s called Medicaid. And no, the other countries are not
so far ahead of us here in Medical Technology etc. If they were,
Americans would be flocking to these other countries instead of them
coming here to get Medical treatments that are available no where else
        but the good ole USA.

Agree with you on this one. Nothing is free, you either pay, file for assistance or just don’t pay at all and the non-payers costs is a large part of the higher costs of healthcare as is the cost of non-generic drugs. (eyes-for you)

Medicaid is only for the poor, many people make too much money to qualify for it and not enough money to afford to buy insurance, a woman in International Fall MN (It is on the border with Canada) recently had a baby and had to have it C-section and had her prenatal and C-section in Canada because it cost her out of pocket $10,000.00 less than it would have cost her in the US but she still had to pay her own way. It costs about $18,000.00 a year in premiums for a family plan health care policy, (often times your employer pays a big portion of it) and guess what those like Canada pay extra taxes + a small amount per month but pay no other premiums, Remember if we had single payer we would pay no other premiums in other words you would save $18,000.00 a year and your taxes would only go up a portion of that in exchange as all other countries have proven and few on this site has an open enough mind to take an honest look at them all we here is the same old stories about gloom and doom of them and most are not true and manufactured by the conservative propaganda mill and of course these conservatives here are not allowed any outside knowledge and thus remain ignorant of reality.

      • JeffH

Must be nice to “be poor” and still travel to Europe.

      • BOE

Yeah it`s the same ol` story…the poor want what the rich have either by working hard, educating themselves,or inheriting money. So? Why do you think you are entitled to it? • Brittancus

The bombardment of American voters at the doors of Congress must be heard, to make E-Verify a permanent illegal immigrant enforcement tool? It’s incredulous that we are winning small wars against our lawmakers beneficiaries–the special interest lobby. LEGISLATORS ARE FINALLY HEARING OUR ANGRY VOICES. Rep. Joe Wilson C-SC opened the eyes of millions of Americans, who are been left unaware of the cloaked–AMNESTY–committees that is going to rip the fabric of every voters life apart. Any detail in the national media has been subdues or intentionally omitted, as with the crowds of Tea Party opponents. Sen. Harry Reid could be stretching his neck out for the headsman in his re-election campaign, including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. They both have used their political influence in trying to overturn E-Verify. Pro-Illegal alien lawmakers could table it, under the “Sunset Provision” on September 30?

President Obama’s direction towards an unmentionable path to citizenship for all those who broke our law is abhorrent. After the controversial eruption in the Session of Congress, they surely must be aware that imposing immigration reform on the people could break them? Americans taxpayers are already supporting business welfare? Corporate entities want these destitute people here to exploit, but don’t want to pay for their health care, schooling or towards the massive numbers surviving in prison. They leave that to the fading middle class taxpayers who carry the tax burden? Over a decade has passed since illegal people started coming here in droves and with little or no laws, to blockade their arrival we are now talking over 20 million. Nor does it stop there? Owing to the clarion call of Amnesty ringing out in the slums and ghetto’s of foreign criminals, sick, elderly and those without means, from all over the world will descend on us. IT MEANS OVERPOPULATION?

Bad as it may be now, who is going to subsidize the new arrivals? Not the business cartels that’s for sure? Once again taxpayers will be heavily taxed to pay for the new shipment of poor, uneducated from every region. How can we expect to have any government public option for our own people, when our gates remain wide open for “Anchor Babies” and the illegal millions expecting a free handout? A nurse in a Nevada hospital indicated they have a row of beds of illegal immigrants on dialysis, which was costing weekly $18.000 dollars for each treatment. Tell me who pays for that? The US government pays a small portion; the rest is acquired from the hospital or taxpayer.

I want a single payer system for homeless veterans, seniors, single mothers with children and poor American families. But I refuse to pay for everybody who climbs, crawls under the fence or bluffs the Federal officer at shipping ports and airports of entry. It’s not our responsibility. DON’T WAIT! Brittancus, I must admit, poor Bush, tried to get immigration passed and the Repub’s didn’t want to do that. Regan, wanted to pass legislation and even granted amnesty to 2 million trying to jump start the process without any takers. Many of these Senators were in office the entire time us Repub’s had contol from1995 to 2006 and we did not want to try and resolve the issue. People like Rep. Wilson who voted for the Medicare bill in 2003, voted for a provision which allows reimbursement to the hospitals for treating illegal immigrants. It is that type of hypocrisy that is killing this party and making it so obvious that our party is just trying to take down a President, not trying to solve our problems.
Here is my question for you. How do you propose that we solve the problem? Has anyone done any research on the cost to round up, feed, give medical attention too, transport, patrol, and house prior to deporting, the illegal immigrates? I have searched and can’t find any estimated totals of the cost. It must be huge or during the past decade we would have done something. Thx in advance for your response.

It seems to me we are housing, feeding, schooling, transporting and giving them healthcare right now, so what would be the big deal if we just told them to go home. when the demos pass the immigration bill and we add millions more to the voting rank, guess what, they will vote for the next socialist minded person running for the pres. In the meantime what are we going to do with the millions who will come in after the bill is passed? will we add an additional immig, bill to cover them. Years ago california allowed mexicans to work in the state via the bracero program and it worked fairly well. pat brown our dear demo. governor gave in to the labor unions and put a stop to it. then there was no one to work the vegetable fields and groves, our union workers would not stoop that low, they even brought welfare recipience out of los angeles to orange county and they refused to do the work ( this was covered and broadcast by the media, tv and radio)so what good is any immig reform other than allowing the demo party to grow larger. mexico has national healthcare, take a trip down there and see how great it is. i lived there for 8 years and i love mexico and its people (most of them) and as long as you take care of yourself its fine, but if you think socialism is the answer and the healthcare bill we are looking at is going to solve our ails, you better take a lot longer thought. the illegals walked here, they can walk back. they should improve their own govt. by not voting in people that promise them something for nothing, they have no allegiance to the u.s. and a lot of them want to annex parts of this country back to mexico. i might give them san francisco and the bay area if they promise to take pelosi and fienstein, i would even throw in boxer and waxman. we are watching our country turn into a 3rd world nation. obama is only rushing it on.

I’e got a bridge to nowhere you can support with your tax dollars. Wake up, Obama’s wants will bankrupt this country. That means all of us. You can’ get out of debt by going farther into debt. You can’t take the earnings of the rich and distribute them to the poor. That only makes everyone poor as there is not enough money among all the rich to pay for all those programs Obama wants. You can’t multiply wealth by dividing it.

          • billy

she refused it after she accepted. flip-flop(oh, that was jon kerry-right?

      • Grace McGovern

Billy, watching a news agency does not equate to skewed research, much is just common sense that you get with maturity. You have already received your Obama “middle class” tax credit, did you know that? Notice a big difference? Wait until the democratic congress passes cap and trade. I don’t know if you pay an electric bill yet, I base this on your naiveté, but, in CA, where they have recently passed green legislation (cap and trade is green legislation), our electric bills have gone up $50/month. With cap and trade, the taxes for carbon emissions that businesses will have to pay will equate to billions. You cannot be that naive to think that these businesses will not pass on this cost to the consumers (that’s everyone, including middle and low income classes); businesses are not that generous that they will take it in the shorts and absorb all the costs. I know this is a debate on health care and not cap & trade (which is another bill coming down the pike), so… also included in one of the many health care bills in the house and senate are taxes of 38% on the Cadillac health insurance plans. Let me spell it out, companies and yes, unions, that have (and they do have) these plans will pay 38% tax on them (written into the Max Baucus bill); do you think that the person that has that insurance will not have an increase in their premiums? Think again. Businesses that offer these plans will not absorb 38% tax costs out of the goodness of their hearts, they would go broke if they did; the person insured will pay for via increased premiums. And one more thing regarding a statement you made about the recession and the republican congress, before the recession and during the last 2 years of President Bush’s term, it was a democratic majority congress and they did have the lowest approval rating then for the pathetic work they were doing. Please read up on the recession before you make statements such as that. One of the catalysts for the recession was bad mortgage lending practices. This all started during Jimmy Carter’s (democrat) Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and Bill Clinton’s change to CRA laws, also a democratic presidency, and neglected especially during the last two years of Bush’s presidency by the democratic congress when it was brought to their attention that there may be problems. Democratic congressmen (Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, to name a few) argued that there was no problem and they made no effort and dismissed the claims by then President Bush to revisit lending practices and oversee those institutions (Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac) using bad lending practices. Congress’ approval rating hasn’t changed even now as a democratic congress; it is still at an all time low. In the years to come, as you grow older, you may very likely regret some of the actions being taken now by this congress and presidency.

        • eyeswideopen

Grace, I’m tired of repeating this. Us Republicans had control of the house and senate from 1995 thru jan 2007. Deregulation of the banking industry happened in 1999. Allowing this economy to almost hit the depression levels of the past. Medicare Advantage passed in 2003 costing us over 800 billion, some estimate 1.2 trillion, but I’ll take the lower estimate. This law only put monies into the Big Pharma companies, giving subsidies to companies like IBM for 400 million for 6 yrs, so they could pay their retired employees pharmacuetical needs. The wars were never included in the bugets, that were supposed to be balanced, by law, which never were. To compound the bad decisions, Bush gave a tax break to the richest 1% costing lost revenue of 1.88 trillion. What exactly do you think was good about any of these decisions?
So, you think people who have the Caddy medical plans should be allowed to write that amount off against their taxes? By the way, it was not just the bad mortgages that caused the problem it was the rating companies, who didn’t even bother to read the mortgages prior to rating the portfiolos AAA and selling to foreign investors.
A true capitalist system cannot succeed without regulations, as it will implode upon itself. Us Republicans don’t ever seem to acknowledge that we had any responsiblity for anything. I’s say since we had control from 1995 to 2007, we had better suck it up and admit that we weren’t fiscally adept. I have heard one Republican admit that we screwed up. All I have seen is us trying to blame a previous admin, for all the issues we failed to address. Hey, we had the power in both Houses of Congress. What were we doing for those 12 years?
We were busy being greedy and filled our pockets with huge amounts of money. Bush wanted to address immigration, and the Congress, Republican controlled refused. I find it laughable that people like Rep. Wilson voted for the Medicare Advantage bill which has provisions in it to reimburse the hospitals for the care of illegal immigrants. Hyprocrisy at it’s finest. Yesterday the stats came out for insurance premiums, during the past 10 years they rose 131% while our salaries only rose 38%. Yes, let me repeat, that’s 131 to 38. How do you think we can survive without reform? Do the math, even if you are a Conservative, just the math should allow you to see that doing nothing is not the solution. I still don’t know why us Republicans are not working to cancel this socialist government run program. How do you justify keeping it, while not helping other needy people??

I trust the ones you mention the best especially PBS who has limited corporate and government influence albeit they get some money from both but with no strings attached. Bush and co tried to do change that but the outcry was to much for him to succeed and government influence was again rejected

You need to look at the facts not the promise from a politician. In 8 months our debt has quadrupled. If my taxes are raised to match, then I will be paying 132% of my income to federal taxes. The promise has been made that no increase for those making under 250.000 (me). But if you take 100% of all the income of all the people in the US that make over 250,00 you will only cover 6 months of operation expences of the federal government. Where do you think the money is going to come from?

      • Michael

You all must forgive Billy. He knows not what he sayeth. He too, is a victim of our social indoctrination education system. From kindergarten through college our children are taught to hate this country by implanted liberals.
When I was a child in school, history books told of a great nation. “America is like a shining city on a hill”. “Land of the free, home of the brave”. And during the day we said the pledge of allegiance. But history books today are not what you probably remember. All the accomplishments of our fore fathers have been erased or maligned. The Bible has been replaced by a book about gay penguins. There is no discipline nor even moral compass in this anything goes atmosphere. Then when an incident like Columbine happens they want to blame it on guns instead of the behavioral modification drugs they are probably receiving from the family doctor.
My sister and my niece are both public school teacher’s. My sister who is about a year away from retirement says that there is and has been an unwritten rule that any deviation from the liberal way of thinking/teaching will not be tolerated.
So don’t blame Billy. He is just another victim.

And you are plum full of assumptions and totally devoid of facts = ignorance on your part

          • Truthtalker

Smilee & Billy, u/r a typical OBOTOS. U fit right in to PLANK #1, of the OBAMA/MAINIFESTO – Take advantage of the idiots, they are our ARMY.

          • Michael

Genralized accusations that lack substance are hard to reply to.
More Alinsky tactics? Are you auditioning for a cabinet post with the charismatic conjurer?
            Ignorance, heal thyself.

            September 16, 2009 at 10:18 am

OBAMA/MAINIFESTO, never heard of it, did that term come from some conservative far right propaganda mill because it sure did not come from Obama or do you have a run away imagination, either way you sound like a lost soul lacking the ability to think straight

        • billy

how long did it take you to conjure that one up? im not impressed- try harder- and maybe i will try harder as well so i can spell check from now on and write in proper paragraph form so i could be smart like you

          • Truthtalker

Oh! Sorry, BILLYBOT. I forgot, there is no way to impress a ANDROID.

          • Michael

Billy, If you get older, you won’t repeat the mistakes you made while you were young.

          • Smilee

            Michael

Whats your excuse, you sure keep making the same mistake over and over again

          • billy

            Yes tell us Michael

        • eyeswideopen

So, Michael, what did you do after your sister told you about the conspiracy? Did you try to stop it?? You are laughable. I know , I know the Dems, population grew so much that they controlled all of our schools, business’, banks, stock markets, etc.. they are responsible for every thing bad that has ever happened, they must have gotten control of every Republican mind who was in elected office from 1995 to 2007 and they intentionally passed bad laws, and tried to wreck this country. Us Republicans didn’t know what they were doing, we just voted for all the bills ,they made us do it.
We didn’t mean to deregulate the banking industry, honest. We really don’t believe that capitalism should run wild. We know that people are corrupt and greedy, we would never have done that!!. It’s all the Dem’s fault, I promise mom.

      • http://N/A Pat

Has anyone realized a tax cut? It was my understanding that part of the “Stimulus” package would be immediate tax cuts for the woorking
people….More take home pay!! How many of you here now have seen your
        take home pay increase?
Another misconception on my part presumably!!!

        • JeffH

Have your taxes gone up? I guess that could be considered a tax cut. lol

        • American Citizen

The reason Obama can be called a liar is because having been a member of the legislature, he know he’s making promises he can’t keep. The real power is within Congress.

        • billy

Tax cut for the working class- it’s true, maybe you make over 250000 that is why you have not seen it.

    • BOE

I too am a dialysis nurse. Once they go on dialysis they automatically start on medicare, disability payments, section 8 housing, and medicaid. All programs that we Americans pay into if we work. I don`t understand why our government can`t bill the Mexican government or what ever country they are from for the care they get in our country. If we held the country accountable for the bills maybe they would help stop the fence jumping.

  • Karl

Hello, Billy. The top 5% of wage earners pay 53.25% of all federal income taxes. The top 10% pay 64.88%. The top 50% pay 96.03%. The Congressional Budget Office confirms what recent Tax Foundation research has shown: 40 percent of Americans pay no income tax. To check these statistics, go to http://www.taxfoundation.org

    • Smilee

That does not equate to equality of taxation if each compared to taxes paid by a proportionate portion of their tax base it would be comparable your figures totally skew that and just is not a fair or equitable comparison.

    • billy

hey at least i got them to talk about some issues here, just trying to get off the whole teerrorist thing or wait i think were on the birth certificate again i cant keep up- anyway yea you are right

  • NCR

Billy, Billy, Billy, so young, so gullible. Nothing is free, especially if it costs close to a trillion dollars. What one gets free is paid by the one’s who don’t. I am sure you are not counting on China to chip in and pay off the debt. The chrisus was caused by the collapse of the whole financial system due to the legislation that required that bad loans be made to people who thought that someone else would pay for something they could not afford.

Wake up son, God bless you!!

    • Smilee

He never said anything was free and I doubt he is that devoid of knowledge to believe that as his posts consistently prove. He does point out better ways and in in the long term cheaper ways of accomplishing it. It is you who are presenting skewed views

    • JeffH

I finaly figured it out, billy and smilee are married to each other. Lovely to see the spouses getting along so well and agreeing on everthing. Like a married couple having a conversation, but with very little substance.

      • billy

        haha

      • Smilee

Are you jealous Jeff that I did not choose your????

      • eyeswideopen

Jeff, why are you constantly trying to marry people on this site?

    • billy

god bless me? well god bless ya right back, and while were at it lets god bless the president and the united states of america- ooh i think i may hav took it oo far ;)

      • billy

we all know hes the antichrist and his parents were devil worshippers

    • eyeswideopen

NCR, you didn’t mention the deregulation that allowed that to happen. Why? You also didn’t mention the Medicare Advantage bill passed in 2003 costing us 800billion why not?

  • HernandeUSA

Barack Obama directly addressed the issue of health care coverage for illegal aliens. The President said his proposal would not extend benefits to individuals in the country illegally.

“”There are also those who claim that our reform effort will insure illegal immigrants. This, too, is false – the reforms I’m proposing would not apply to those who are here illegally.””

However, the House version that passed through three separate committees before the summer recess did not include a mechanism for determining an individual’s citizenship status. Section 246 of H.R. 3200 says, “Nothing in this subtitle shall allow Federal payments for affordability credits on behalf of individuals who are not lawfully present in the United States.” But without a citizenship verification requirement, illegal aliens who meet the income requirements could receive vouchers that can be used to purchase health care.

Support your President and demand Congress add the needed Verification tools like the SAVE ACT.

FYI: Adding Money to the Bill for “ACTUAL” Emergency CARE to Support our Hospitals, so they get some of their money back is NOT hypocrisy, its because Illegals do not pay their bills.

Just look at California as an Example of what happens when illegals are NOT dealt with…..we have lost too many Emergency rooms because of the Cost of proving Care to illegals.

    • JeffH

In California there are less and less “free” clinics because they cannot get funding to stay open. The demands for services put on them by illegals has broken their financial backs, and the ones that are still operating have lines that are sometimes “around the block”.

    • Smilee

In short (and you admit)HR 3200 says it will be against the law for non citizens to have taxpayer paid insurance plans, what it doesn’t say is that the plan must enforce it so the president did not lie, Joe did. Basically what the republicans want is a background check (not defined) that all will have to be subjected to it, citizens and non citizens alike and this is a very expensive undertaking but and does not produce many results, One state did this to identify illegals and spend 8.3 million dollars doing it the first year and identified only 8 illegals, that amounts to over 1 million per person. This is not a cost effective method, let law enforcement deal with this issue on their budgets. Now that would be the smart way. This is a red herring and does not make it legal just as the president said, try telling that to a conservative who will use any lie to make the president look bad and of course throw red meat to their followers in the process whom many are filled with hatred for this government and this president and I suspect it has little to do with either illegals or health care,

      • JeffH

The differance between you and I, is that I love America, don’t hate anyone and don’t support the anti-American agenda of our current government. Joe Wilson was censured by a unanimous vote even though he quickly admitted his lack of decorum and apologised to the president, which was quickly accepted and aknowledged by the president. Absolutly no reason for him to be censured and removed from the legislative process, except for political reasons . Obama could have influenced the House to take no other action, but by not doing so, another opponent is out of action.
        My. how the world turns.

        • JeffH

I will add that I am unable to grasp that all to common excuse of “8 years and Bush” caused all of Americas problems.
I know that makes me look “stupid”, but I am sure history will show that the problems started decades ahead of Bush, and will continue beyond Obama.

        • eyeswideopen

Jeff, it is really important due to the size of the House membership that a strict decorum is followed at all times. He violated that code and then refused to apologize to the House members. If they didn’t enforce those rules, we would probably be throwing shoes. It was his own stupidity and big mouth that got him into trouble. They don’t have many of these incidents as they will receive exactly what he did. You have to keep your children in line!!! LOL

        • Smilee

I know he apologized to the president but only after he was told to by the GOP leadership who was quick to do so, he doesn’t sound sincere to me and I believe he owes an apology not only to congress but to all of us. Why is it you have to call everyone unamerican if you do not agree with them and you say you do hate seems to me that is an expression of hate, you like Joe are very rude people, that is problem with a lot of conservatives, but a conservative columnist in today paper was calling for a stop to this as he said it is destroying the conservative moment and I think he is right albeit I am not opposed to that and he is, never the less he is right and you jeff are one of the people he was talking about.

    • eyeswideopen

Herande, it’s because Pres. Bush tried to get immigration legislation passed and the Republican Congress denied him. If we would have addressed this problem earlier, we would be saving money already.

    • BOE

This is what is going to happen. Obama is going to change the wording..then get everyone to sign the bill..then he is going to make every illegal in this country..suddenly will be here legal!! Ain`t that something?! That Obama is a slick one!!

      • Smilee

Gee, that is exactly what Reagan did

      • eyeswideopen

BOE, yea, Regan did that with 2.7 million illegals, did you complain then??

  • American Citizen

I have come to believe that Obama, his advisers and the people who voted for him all flunked math.

    • billy

fuzzy math is so like two thousand and four like whateverrrr

    • eyeswideopen

American, they are just trying to use the same math, that we used while in office. lol

  • Carlene

Obama & the Democrats are killing America. Everyone who voted for them was expecting something free. The problem with that is nothing is free, someone will pay for it. I for one have already started earning less, so now my taxes will not be paying for the freeloader. I paid off my car & my bills, cute up my credit cards so I could work less, now my small income will not pay anyone healthcare because I will not pay taxes. HA HA on the Democrats & the freeloaders!!

  • MOMSRIGHT

We would all be alot better off if we threw out this nanny state, lowered taxes, and let people rise to their full potential! Nationalized health care can only serve to destroy the best health care in the world! The enormous debt this president is incurring will never get paid off! Not even the wealthiest among us can afford such a plan! Generation after generation will suffer for the choices we are making today! They said George Bush was dumb! Obama doesn’t have a clue!

    • billy

With respect i have to say you are the one who has no clue(sorry mom)
ha. this man is trying to do something good for the people why cant you see that? come now and stop with all the hate and anger these are promising times- now stop it- ha

      • American Citizen

The road to hell is pave with good intentions.

  • Kevin

Hmmmmmm is anyone wondering why the Brits and the Canadians who now have health care plans that our Presidents plan is modeled after, are coming to America to obtain health care?????????
Also to give away something you must take it away from someone else first. Is that the 1% or everyone that buys goods and services that will be taxed (cap and trade) (increased income taxes) which will increase the prices of all goods and services, in this great country of ours.

    • billy

oooooooooooooohhhhh sounds like its not just those damn mexicans we hav to worry about anymore- now the canadians are involved!!!!!!!!!!!

      • eyeswideopen

Crap, Billy, u need to get u a gun and move from any border towns. LOL

  • Hubert

Can someone please explain to it me. Obama claims that the US is so bad that we must change everything. In the meantime we have illegal aliens streaming into the US and leaving all those fantastic dreamworlds behind. They come here for what? To come and live in a terrible country in misery?
Once Obama is finished we will have solved the illegal immigration problem. They won’t be coming here anymore because it will be better to stay in their homelands. They US will be bankrupt. (It is probably already bankrupt but we have not processed the paperwork yet)
At the end the US will be a third world nation with no manufacturing industry left, high unemployment, few jobs, and a healthcare program with so many restrictions that it is useless because nobody has the resources to support it.
Then we can say: Thank you Obama for making everything equally miserable for everyone (top government excluded of course)and changing our world to true equality where nobody has anythin left.

    • billy

I’LL EXPLAIN IT TO YOU HUBERT, BUT BRIEFLY AND IN TERMS YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO COMPREHEND(comprehend means to understand)-
GEORGE BUSH AND DICK CHENEY WERE VERY VERY BAD MEN WHO ilegally (ilegally means very very badly and against the law) THESE MEN ILEGALLY GOT INTO THE WHITE HOUSE BECUZ GEORGES BROTHER WAS THE GOVERNOR OF A PLACE CALLED FLORIDA BUT GEORGE ALSO WAS LUCKY CUZ HIS DADDY USE TA BE THE PRESIDENT AND THE SUPREME COURT HAD ALOT OF HIS DADDYS FRIENDS ON IT. WELL ONE DAY EIGHT YEARS LATER GEORGE WASNT PREZ NO MORE BUT WHILE HE WAS- ALOT OF BAD BAD THINGS HAPPENED AND HE SAID “BEIN PREZ IS HARD WORK” WELL AFTER THE 8 YEARS OF DICTATORSHIP RULE(DICTATORSHIP MEANS VERY BAD) A NEW GUY WHO WAS DIFFERENT THAN GEORGE GOT ELECTED AND WAS IN THE WHITE HOUSE. THIS GUY S NAME IS OBAMA. AND TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION- HE WANTS TO CHANGE THE COUNTRY BECAUSE GEORGE AND DICK REALLY MESSED THINGS UP- HE WANTS TO FIX THE WRONG AND HE SAYS THE WORD “CHANGE” ALOT. SOME STUPID AMERICANS TAKE THIS AN INSULT BECAUSE THEY’RE BRAINS ARE THE SIZE OF TINY LITTLE PEAS

      • Bramo

See if billy is still on here in 2010 or 2012…I doubt it. The top earners pay the majority of taxes in this country. I have never seen a poor man provide a job. If he did most would not take it because work is just that, work. They don’t want to work. They want a hand out from the government. Dem. or Repub. it is wrong. Earn a check and some self respect!!!

        • JeffH

Bramo…he will see it from the otherside of the fence.

        • http://aol Don

Many of the wealthy do not pay taxes. ZERO On paper they pay most of the Taxes. Because of loop holes, they don’t.

          • eyeswideopen

Don, the tax cuts really help them, they don’t even have to look for the loop holes. lol

  • Mary J Goode

I guess it would make lots of people happy if things stay the way they are. Go back to the 8 year with Bush. Why did you vote for Obama. He won so be it.

    • Jim

We all wanted away from the Bush years because of his stupid Liberal policies on immigration, his idiotic spending on wars with no end in sight, his running up the deficit to almost 800 billion (which now seems small compared to present), his weak stance against morons like Barney Frank and Chris Dodd when they held hearings on Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac, his government control and violation of civil liberties with the Patriot act and his billions waisted on aid to other countries. Obama is going the same direction as Bush, but with lightening speed and getting a push by the media to help him not lose momentum.
The people can survive without the government but the government can’t survive without the pople!!

      • JeffH

And..the people have finaly had enough of governments disrespect for the people. It has taken us, the people, too long to take a stance. It is unfortunate that Obama has to take the brunt of the blame, as he wasn’t the only president to lie. But as president, and a promise to make changes we can accept, he is being exposed for what he truly is. He wants to ruin the very core of America, damn the people. His agenda doesn’t include the influence of the majority nor does it garner full support from his peers. As he continues to slide down the scale of approval, and as the “right wing” media continues to expose him and his appointed advisors for what they are to the public, you are all getting a taste of the real Obama and his attempt to destroy Americas position in the world.

      • Dennis

Very well said keep it up.

      • billy

” Chris Dodd ” He is corrupt. He reminds me of a republican senator. I’m surprised you don’t stick up for him.

    • JeffH

Another one with the 8 years of Bush and the “we won” mentality.
That explains all of Americas current and past problems…Have you felt threatened by foreign or domestic terrorists, other than Obama’s plan to break Americas back? At least Bush did one thing right, ya think?
It has taken a lot more than Bush and the Republicans to cause the damages. Americas problems are def bipartisan created.

  • erheault

The argument aboutilegal health care is a moot point as the law that was put in place years ago states that no hospital can turn away anybody illegal or not and cannot release them with out their consent that is a federal law. as for anchor babies that law was passed in Linclons time to give the children of slaves citisenship, Untill those laws are revoked it is a meaningless argument about free medical for aliens as they allready have it.

    • JeffH

      That is so true…

    • eyeswideopen

Pres. Bush tried to get immigration passed and the damn Repbus wouldn’t allow it. We would have half the problem solved if they would have worked with him… we need to send everyone home who has been there since 1995. That’s enough time,,,,time to go home.

  • Dale

In short, government produces nothing; they just play a shell game with red ink: “Quick! which shell is the red ink under now?”.

Billy, many of us have seen the transformation of this nation. I was a Vietnam Era Vet, in the Navy as a kid. There were only men in the fleet. UUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!! Yep, sorry but it’s true. Today, we have this confused, intermingled, mess of special interests, all complaining, all demanding a piece of the pie (i.e. The Jeffersons). The folly here just like with the Asian take over of the auto industry in the ’70′s was due in part to such special interests as unions, e.g. the UAW. I as part of that pathetic outfit who was always trying to get more from the mean old “company” which had to compete with the Japanese for market share. Well after I informed on a fellow unioner who deliverately would not do their job and HURT (yes HURT) business, I was the lowest of the low. Someone tried to slip a drug in a soft drink I ended up not touching, but unwhitting gave to my relief. Later my dad (who retired there after 25 years) told me about what could have happened to me (could have gotten killed). Apparently there’s no room in this Obamanation for simple, honest people who have pride in their nation and in their American companies. Everyone is expected to be on the TAKE. Just look at the recent ACORN scandals.

    • billy

agreed. your talking about blackwater i saw how they are paid triple maybe more than the soldiers . sick. were blackwater around for a longer time than just iraq?

    • JeffH

In the union world, never ever snitch to management. Those situations have to be reported to the shop stewards, and even then, you must be damn sure of your accusations. There is a fine line between doing what is necessary to get the job done and doing nothing.
My point, if you snitched to management, you should have been censured.

      • eyeswideopen

        Jeff, you are 100% rt.

  • http://none Ross Bunch

Democrats are like cockroaches. Just shine a little light on them and they will run. Joe Wilson shined his light on them. And somebody just put the light on ACORN. MSNBC, ABC, and CBS did great cover ups but FOX NEWS shined more light on the Democrats. Obama’s gang hates TRUTH.

    • Smilee

Ross, WOW are you ever one confused person

    • billy

today acorn tomorrow it will be “80 percent agreed upon” keep watchin fox they will tell you how to think and what to say like in the townhalls

      • American Citizen

The Fox News reporters do the research and digging to get to the truth. We would never know a lot of what is going on in this country otherwise. The “old” media does not do its homework. I quit listening to them a long time ago. I try to once in a while and come away feeling that I’d been lied to. At least Fox gives both parties what for when it’s needed. If you don’t think so, you’re not a regular listener.

It’s also plain to see those who only listen to the liberal media news outlets. Most of their posts make no sense.

        • American Citizen

Fox does not tell us how to think. They always tell us to make our own decisions. I don’t always agree with everything they say either.

          • billy

What are some of things you don’t agree with?

    • eyeswideopen

Ross, before you make Wilson your hero, maybe you should check out the organization he belongs to: Sons of the Confederate Veterans. It just happens to be one of the most extreme groups around. It was on Bush’s watch list for extreme violence. Us Republicans have a tendency to jump too quickly to find heros, who aren’t. You probably should check it out!!

      • eyeswideopen

Update, Joe Wilson, lied about being an immigration lawyer. His comment totally proven untrue…..Joe, I say YOU LIE!!!!!

      • JeffH

It is unknown if was still a member, and many members resigned their
memberships, when the radical right racists took over in, I think, 2002? possibly as ealy as 2000. I read this on a black information website.

  • Truthtalker

I remember the socialized medicine debate of 1964-65. It was the same
propaganda. It will be paid for, it will not add to the national
debt. Look at the state of Medicare today. Obama Manifesto:Plank #1-
Take advantage of the uneducated, they are our army.

    • Smilee

I can see you are in need of some education so that you can know what is really going on. These plans SS & Medicare funds have been borrowed and that has increased the debt but they themselves have not, remember this is different from medicaid

      • Truthtalker

SMILEE, Undoubtedly u survived the Roswell crash. The reason they are
broke is because the Feds can’t manage them or anything else they touch.

        • eyeswideopen

I would appreciate it if you would quit slamming us Republicans, you need to check who is running the Fed!! Yup, it’s one of ours, so back off.

        • Smilee

They have done a hell of a lot better than the private health insurance companies, I’ll bet you are not on Medicare or you would talk the truth which as yet you do not know

    • eyeswideopen

Truthtalker, check out the Medicare Advantag bill passed in 2003, then make your silly comments.

  • Karl

Billy, updated info. The top 1 percent of tax filers earned about 22.8 percent of the nation’s income in 2007 (the latest IRS data available), and paid 40.4 percent of all federal income taxes – more than the bottom 95 percent of tax filers combined, according to a Tax Foundation analysis of just-released IRS data.
Again, go to http://www.taxfoundation.org to check this out. So stop complaining about the rich.

    • Smilee

Proportionally they have paid a hell of a lot less and that is the only fair comparison, apples = apples and not oranges = apples as you suggested so billy understands it better than you do

      • David

That’s right Smilee, go ahead and bite the hand that feeds the food chain. Did you read the beer example….you really are brilliant for an old guy.

        • Smilee

Thank you, I know I am brilliant, glad you noticed

    • billy

      not the rich- the elite

    • eyeswideopen

Karl, do you understand prorate rates?

      • eyeswideopen

        oops, i meant prorata

their are some in thie country that think that if you have money and i have none it,s ok for your goverment to take or steal from one and give to another if i do it i go to jail nothing is free someone payes and you or obama do not has that right can the goverment run health care better look at the post office/va/ medicair medicaid /schools irs dhls ice border patrol all broke a illegal mexican girl come,s here has a baby she is here at your expence not goverment for live under the 1st ad we all have the same rights find in the consitution were there is seperation of church and stste find steal from the have,s and give to the poor find were you don,t pay all your taxes for 10 years and not go to jail and when the irs audit,s you only pay the tax no fine [REP RANGEL]and you want to put the fox over the hen house

  • Darrell

I am appalled that the main stream media has sat on their hands while all this conversation is taking place.
This health care (Obama care) is only a sliver to use a phrase of Obama. There is cap and trade and card check along with health care reform. All of this is to pay back the special interest that put Obama into office on the backs of tax payers.

    • JeffH

I expect the cheapshots to start, but Fox has been the most informative of the mainstream media, because they are not in Obamas pocket.

      • Smilee

FOX in reality is a far right conservative propaganda machine owned by Murdock and he sets their lying agenda , they are no were near mainstream and are not a real news outlet. Fair and balanced in their dictionary is defined as garbage. Closed minds are incapable of understanding this and so they deny reality.

  • Glyndon Hague, TX

Its so nicve of the “team Obama” folks to spend time speading their phoney nonsense on every clear thinking article they can find that reminds us all that this President is a non-stop Lieing machine……..will see you nuts at the polls

    • Smilee

Glyndon Hague, TX When are you going to have your cataracts removed, I suspect things will look different then

    • billy

he should have told you to go shopping and maybe you would like him

    • billy

“……..will see you nuts at the polls”

      LOL

  • shannon

wilson should also have said bull s–t! time the illegal were driven out of the country as the common foe that they are. invaders of our economic system is their goal. get all they can for free. obama and congress is helping them. aiding and abbeding plain and simple. they are causing a major cost increase to health care with free treatment while amreican citizens do with out. this health care plan will create yet another pot for congress to steal from. government has done a great job of failure. post office, broke, amtrack, broke, medicare, broke, medicaid, broke, fannie may, broke, freddie mac, broke and teh list goes on. want failure? let the government run health care.

    • eyeswideopen

Gee, who do you think was running Freddie and Frannie? Yep, us Republicans, so sweetie, you need to re-evaluate your statement. You surely don’t mean to slam your own party do you? Look out “Rush” is watching you.

      • Dennis

Sorry but it was the Clinton Administration that brought it on and led that band wagon (Freddie & Fannie ) Not the Republicans

        • eyeswideopen

Dennis, you are something,…Run by Republicans,,, check the record. and still is…. Denial is a horrible thing.

          • American Citizen

Sorry, eyes, it was overseen by the Dems Rangel, Dodd and another whose name escapes me. Rangel is still in denial and won’t take responsibility for their failures to do their job. President Bush warned Congress there was trouble 2 years before the crash and it did nothing. I also saw warnings by some analysts on the internet warning of the coming housing collapse at least a year before it happened.

You are hilarious marvin- I like how you totally skipped over President Regan and the first Bush- So funny.

  • American Citizen

    MAY I HAVE YOU ATTENTION?!!

I just received an e-mail saying the Senate has a bill before it that all gun owner will have to list them on their tax returns. To check this out, go to http://WWW.Senate.gov. Search for bill SB2099.

I guess Congress really is afraid there is going to be a revolution.

    • JeffH

Kevin, that email is totaly bogus and a myth. I am a fighter for 2nd Amendment rights and have seen the email over the years. There was an attempt that was made to make a law such as that many years ago(1994?) and was shot down. Every so often the email starts a frenzy and with just a little research, can be verified as bogus. Even the NRA has dispelled that rumor.

      • JeffH

Kevin, if you had done your research, this is what you would have seen on SB2099. My intent is only to dispell the rumor.

Is it true that . . . Senate Bill SB-2099 will require owners of firearms to pay a $50 charge per gun and list each gun on their federal tax form?

The answer is no. This Internet rumor states that SB-2099 is legislation currently being considered by the Senate. The bill supposedly requires owners of firearms to list on their 1040 tax return all guns they own and then pay a $50 charge per firearm. There is no such legislation by this name in the 111th Congress.

        The facts:

The last bill given the number S. 2099 was in the 105th Congress. This bill dealt with federal sentencing guidelines for counterfeiting offenses.
Legislation that the Senate is currently working on will be listed on the Active Legislation page or can be searched for on Thomas. For more information about the legislative process or finding bills, please see the Legislation VRD page.

        • JeffH

My apologies to you Kevin, I meant American Citizen.

        • eyeswideopen

THANK YOU JEFF. finally someone stood up and corrected a person who was mis-informed. What is interesting is that if you searched the site like she requested, it states that this was false. Can you see why I only try to dispel this type of info? Usually what happens is everyone gets excited and then the hate just starts to flow. I really appreciate the fact that you were honest.

          • JeffH

TY. I have learned that if you want to make a comment based on facts , do it and be prepared to back it up. If the comments are based on heresay, check them out first before you speak. Much differant than having an opinion.
Otherwise it becomes a case of “insert foot into mouth”.

          • American Citizen

Sorry, I received it from a person I know well so I didn’t check it out. But there is also a bill HR 45 that addresses the gun issue, I have just learned.

          • JeffH

American Citizen…I received the same email about 3 months ago, with a frantic phone call shortly thereafter. My first reaction was not a good one, but I checked it out right away and sure enough, it was only a myth.

    • David

      Guns? Who has any guns?

    • eyeswideopen

American, did you put SB2099 in the search area? If you did you would see that this is false.

  • http://yahoo.com Sue C

    To Kevin, Jeff, and Kalin:

You all sound like you don’t know what you are talking about. Let’s get real! This once use to be a free country, where people dated, got married, had a family, and neighbors could be trusted, with your children, and your house, to watch out for you, when your front door was open and you were not paying attention to the criminal/crooked element that was lurking around your front door. It is no longer so, guys! Now we have rapists, lurking around every corner, for man, woman, and child. Thieves, Con Men, Free-Loaders, etc! etc!

Whether you believe it or not, the Government always ran the show. They have their hands on our taxpayers’ monies, and they use it however they want to use it, whether you like it, or not! President Obama has lots of work to do, than to take over our personal lives, and make it into hell. Our lives are already “HELL”, in that we are taxed beyond what makes sense, so that the white man, can steal, by creating false alarms to go to *wars, sending the poor man’s sons, and daughters to the battle (while their own sons, and daughters, are using our taxes, to go on trips, take their partners to dinners, and dances/parties) Congress releases the funds necessary, only to find that the crooks in high places need to fill their own pockets/work on their own agenda, while we have no one to turn to when we are sick, and have no health insurance! Wake up! President Obama is working to help us. Let’s help the less fortunate to have what only the rich can afford, right now. Thank you.

    • chuck b

      sue c
Are you for real? the white man has caused all your problems! contact obama and get an application for the black nationalist party, you sound like a lot of his friends. Farrakhan has an opening for you. Be sure to bring a prayer rug. He may be able to send you up to the mother ship on the next shuttle. by the way i think michelle obama is catching up on the trips, dinners and travel.

      • eyeswideopen

Chuck, she is probably only saying “white men” because that is who has run this country. Take a look at how many minorities, women or blacks are in the Senate or House…. not too many. So her statement is true. White men have run this country to benifit themselves, not the minorities.
Facts are facts, big boy. You white men need to take responsibilty for this mess we are in. Until us women and minorities get more equal representation we are having to live with your decisions, which aren’t always for the majority of the people.

        • Dennis

“WHITE MEN” No it’s people like you that are the PROBLEM that statement alone makes me sick YOUR THE PROBLEM……………….

        • JeffH

I guess turnaround is fair play. Most everyone is a racist at some point.

        • JeffH

And I will add that as the man of color progresses through government, they take the same advantages as the “white man” and have a built in excuse for being racists themselves.
Reverse discrimination is what it is, discrimination!

          • eyeswideopen

Jeff, I agree, and as a white man, you really have no idea what it is like to work in a environment where all the rules are made by men. When a child is sick, it is always the woman who takes off work, and is penalized in her career. That is just one small example. Women understand what it is like to be in the minority, white men have trouble empathizing as they never have experienced most of the bigotry and prejudice that we have. Finally this year we are now guaranteed the same salary for the same position. But look at the Fireman, a little bit of perceived bias and they are at the Supreme Court doors. The white men in this country are going to have a hard time when they become the minority. Let the lawsuits begin!! LOL

          • JeffH

In 2006-2007, I worked for an ethnic owned company as Transportation Mgr./Dispather. In the 6 months I worked there, I was the only “white man” employed by the company. On many occasions I was referred to as “the white boy”. The office was run by the daughter, the accountant was a cousin and two sons helped out part time. The only complaints about how I did my job were by the independent drivers of the same ethnic persuation as the owner and his family. I was their boss, yet my decisions were constantly scrutinized because I was fair and didn’t priortize the best paying loads for my bosses friends. He did everything he could to get me to quit, but I refused and told him so. Eventualy business slowed down and one day he fired me. I knew it was discrimination and left without saying a word. I did make him pay me for accumulated vac time and I did get my unemployment, even though he and his daughter lied to the EDD in an attempt to disqualify my claim. I guess my point is, that I don’t trust that ethnic group as much anymore, but I also don’t spew racial hate at them either.

        • JeffH

In my life I have strived to never put myself above others and play on equal ground, whether I managed, supervised or worked alongside illegals, and I have, women or people of color. I earned their respect as I treated them with, and gave them respect. I also created loyalty and some long term friendships, often without approval from my boss who became a citizen in 2007.
I realize not everyone has that experience, but again two wrongs don’t make a right. Every remark on this site that has racial overtones only helps to create a bigger gap between those that already disagree. There will never be racial equality as long as man exists. That is just human nature. Is it wrong? Yes! Remember, it takes two to tango.

          • eyeswideopen

jeff, you are truly an advanced man. I applaud you. I guess it would be good if every white man could experience what you did, as they would then know how it feels to be discriminated against. I bet you raised your kids to be respectfull of other’s rights and not to judge based on skin color. If you have a daughter, I know you feel her pain when she hasn’t been paid what the men doing her same job are paid. We still have a couple of generations to go to get to equality. Wha’t funny is that if we would have had Hilary elected, this same crap would be happening only instead of race it would be gender that the Conservatives would be bashing.

          • American Citizen

We did not raise our children to be racist, in fact one son brought a black college friend home with him one weekend. He was totally welcome here. But experiences with blacks in the big city makes a couple of them wary. One daughter was even locked in a cooler along with other employees when a black man robbed the fast food restaurant where she was working to earn money for college. Fortunately, it had a bar door on it so they could get out after he left. This same daughter was robbed by a black man at a service station. So you can imagine her feelings now. She is careful to put it mildly.

        • American Citizen

Balderdash! Those minorities are Americans, too, subject to all the Constitutional laws we all are. They are the ones setting themselves apart expecting to be taken care of by the government.

    • JeffH

Why the racist comment? Racism is not color blind but a racist is.

      • eyeswideopen

        Hands clapping.

      • American Citizen

I don’t get that one, Jeff, if you’re colorblind, you see no color. Maybe you meant to say, racism is colorblind but a racist isn’t. I don’t think either is colorblind.

  • Jack Kinch(1uncle)

There is a limited amount of money government can take from a person before that person decides it isn’t worth it and stops earning it. Corporations don’t pay taxes. Taxes are just another cost of doing business and is passed on to consumers. Wealthy people create jobs. At some point in taxing we begin killing the goose or geese. Tax and labor are costs of doing business. We’ve seen business moved out of USA. We cannot move our taxes or welfare costs out of USA. Our social security trust fund should never have been spent on creating more demorats. With our tremendous debt, congress should cut spending to the bone. We need amendments to the constitution preventing benefits to special interest groups, cut the number on congressmen in half, eliminate their pensions and benefits. They should use Social security

    • billy

” We’ve seen business moved out of USA.” and obama stopped the tax credits they received (under bush) for moving overseas.

    • eyeswideopen

Jack, your arguement has been used since this country first levied taxes, and guess what, we still have a “rich”segment in our population. So people aren’t leaving in droves as you imagine.

  • http://Yahoo Jim

WOW, It is time we all take a look at our over all government. Stop calling names as all voters are not happy with the way each voted. Prayer is the best weapon any one has as long as each prayer is honest and the prayer non selfish. NO, I do not like what is going on and will vote how I feel about the person running for office. Most of all our elected officials are our SERVANTS!!!! We are not theirs. Tjhanks Jim…

  • mc

Let it all coming crashing down. Too much greed, too much keeping up w/ the neighbors. Fair tax it and let each take care of themselves. people still throw benefits for the unfortunate. Stop overtaxing me and start pulling your own weight. Your mistakes are not my concern.

    • eyeswideopen

      Ah, a Libertarian.

  • Merl Elton

The Acorn crowd is growing like a weed; and will be unstoppable if we don’t put an end to this bilk the middle class and rich nonsense.
Acorn is one of many vehicles being constructed to quickly steamroll the wealth of this country; by taking large percentages of taxpayer dollars; in addition to what these vehicles get free of charge from the gov. You think athletes are paid well; that is nothing compared to Acorn CEOs and their many cronys. At least athletes sometimes have to work for their millions. Desptie being so heavily bankrolled for doing relatively nothing; do you see how Acorn people act; now that is outrageous. The teabaggers/townhalls are out there defending the wealth of this nation, themselves; and their children. Acorn calls them racist; however that is hypocrital. The teabaggers/townhallers are our heros. White American are tired of being called racist by people who do not understand our values, traditions; and our culture. Rich white Americans provide jobs and give a lot to charity. Calling whites racist is racist and we will no longer stand for it.

    • eyeswideopen

Merl, I am interested, just what are your values, culture and traditions?

    • American Citizen

What makes me so angry is that our tax dollars are going to ACORN by the billions. What right does Congress have to give my money to a group like this?

      • JeffH

It appears that the end of ACORN is approaching as funds are cut off.

        • eyeswideopen

Thank God, then we will have to find something else to attack, I was really getting tired of that fight, They didn’t sign up enough people to warrant as much time and energy we have spent on them. But I suspect that Fox news will be involved in a lawsuit.

          • JeffH

I doubt very seriously that anyting will come of the “threatend” lawsuit as more videos will surface and expose ACORN for what they are.

          • billy

same way they did when clinton commited adultry; except they actually wasted real money on that one.

      • billy

AMERICAN CITIZEN PLEASE STOP SPREADING LIES!!
we do not give BILLIONS!! hahah
i’m not sticking up for acorn but stick with the facts- billions???????? do you even know what acorn is???????????!!!

i’m only posting to you because you have to be careful what you say in front of most republicans(most, not all)- they are capapble of believe~ing that billions of tax dollars go to acorn when in fact that is false- be careful because these are the same people who believed obabam “palled around with terrorists” and the same ones calling him a communist. thank you.

(again- IM NOT STICKING UP FOR ACORN!!)

        • American Citizen

Billy, do you really keep up with the news? Congress has already given ACORN over 53 million over the past years and this year there was 4.8 billion in the budget for them.

          • Smilee

53 million is correct, and this is the total since 1994, that is less than pocket change for the government, your other figure is bogus. This is an issue the where the conservatives have taken a mole hill and made a mountain of it. Its of little importance and of little consequence to the country as a whole.

          • billy

You are a liar. Also, can you go and reasearch acorn and see what it is they actually have been doing since the 90′s.

  • RC

    The tipping point is near.
    Atlas will shrug.

  • BABUSHSKA

Sue C – you are unbelievable. “President Obama has lots of work to do than to take over our personal lives and make it into hell…”
You are right he’s made our personal lives into hell!

    Here’s just 10 reasons why.

    1. What president has doubled the national debt in less than one year which will make our children and grandchildren responsible to pay it off?

    2. What president ordered the firing of a CEO without any constitutional authority to do so?

    3. What president bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia, making America look subservient to the rest of the world?

    4. What president appointed tax cheats to his cabinet?

    5. What president spent 20 years in a church listening to white racist
    comments by a black preacher?

    6. What president gave the unions a major stake in General Motors?

    7. What president spent thousands of dollars to take his wife to a play in NYC?

    8. What insensitive president makes a joke at the expense of the Special Olympics?

    9. What narcisstic president gave the Queen of England an IPOD with videos of his speeches?

    10. What president ok’d Air Force One flying low over millions of people followed by a jet fighter in downtown Manhattan causing wide-spread panic?

The above was circulated on the internet. All the above are true about Obama, but the mainstream media has ignored, looked the other way, and given him a free pass. GW Bush would have been crucified over such as this.

    • eyeswideopen

      BAB, here’s your answers;
      1. Bush caused the biggest deficit, Obama inherited it.
      2. He didn’t fire him, he asked that the board of directors to replace him. Who was right? GM is back on track and producing great cars. Oh, but that’s right we don’t want GM to succeed do we?
      3. What President didn’t call every nation that we don’t get along with ” the axis of evil? Who showed respect to the nation he was visiting? OBama. Shoot, I forgot we don’t believe in showing respect do we? oops
      4. Oh, you make this too easy. Bush, Clinton, Bush Sr., Regan, Nixon and Ford.
      5. Let’s see Bush was tight with two scandalous preachers, Jimmy Swaggert and Jim Bakker. Which is worse, greed and corruption or talking smack? Oh, that’s right jail time for some, others are still free..
      6. I would rather give a loan and hold the note until it is repaid than get nothing. How do you do business.? Holding a collateral for a loan is standard business practice. By the way we are getting interest on the loan.
      7. Oops, another easy one. What Pres. Obama will spend on his wife, will never come near the amount of vacation days that Bush took. He took a month off after the first 6 months, I believe that cost more than a date to N.Y.
8.Yes, he made a mistake. But it was no worse than when Bush was addressing the Catholic Priests and said “I plan to insure when you and your wives retire you will have prescription drugs.” Dumb de Dumb
9.The Queen had suggested to her staff that she would like the copies of his speeches. But you wouldn’t know that would you?
      10. He didn’t authorize that you fool, he doesn’t make those low level decisions. Oh that’s right you think he makes every decision about every single thing on US soil, as no Republicans can be trusted to carry out any function.

The Dem’s will never lower themselves to respond to this, but since my own party put this crap out, and I belong to this party, I will refute this crap. This is an example of what? Our brains? or our prejudice?

you keep referring as us republicans we have done everything wrong since bush came into office. does the republican party know you claim to be a member. bush sure gave it to you guys for awhile, i guess thats why you hate him. i do agree he was a failure by trying to appease the democrats and going along with them, in many cases these are the bills on medicare, so he deserves criticism and there are many republicans in power that i would remove. one thing for sure the demos have had the power for almost three years and i need to say no more on who headed this country downhill. bill clinton was saved by the republicans or do you remember where we were headed in 94.
I could find lots of things to criticize bill clinton for, however, hes no longer an issue (thank god),
you claim obama made a good move in taking over gm, better think again on that one, he made a good move for the union and gave a big down payment to people that probably couldn’t afford the car in the first place and a lot of them will be back on the dealers lot within six months. this all done on the tax payers back, (great move) and the funny part of it the people bought mostly foriegn cars, not gm, but, now they are gearing up to make more of these greenie cars, the auto unions love this guy!. what does he do when gm gets in trouble now? more down payments? and where does this end.
when you get tired of accusing bush of all his vacations, compare the expense of what bush spent on his time at the ranch compared to the glorious leader and queen on there many many trips around the world and shopping trips of michelle, also add in the large staff to serve the 1st queen. no comparison!! but, you probably think the obama’s deserve all this extravagance due to their color. regardless of what you will probably say, this guy is a muslim, the first in the white house and our country is going to pay dearly in the future.

    • billy

Maybe your babushka is on too tight and you are losing oxygen to your brain.

  • RjCops

Why is it so hard for People to understand, George Bush did not create the deficit, it is a build up of all presidency since our nation began.

Obama on the other hand has pledged up to a deficit in the first 7 months of his administration well over a trillion dollars.

Bush attempted to do something about the abuse in the leaning industry but was stopped by Demo congress. Social Security was started by a Demo president, and so abused by a Demo congress for give away programs.

Doesn’t matter whether Mr. Obama is white/black (because he is both!) what matters is the company he keeps, and from what I have read majority of them either don’t pay their taxes or they hire illegal aliens (for cheap labor). Seems like most of the people he wanted confirmed by the sen. didn’t cut the mustard. So Mr.Obama then cut corners (are simple ignoring it) on the constitution by putting them in jobs as czars???

Too many other things objectionable too list here, but I see no where in this man’s action that he can be trusted!!!

  • ONTIME

Many who are now recieving any SS will most likely see not only no COL raises but more cuts, and increases in the medicare deducts/loss of quality as well as tax increases on the incomes you now enjoy, so if it is a fixed income you live on and your reserve sources are low or non existent, most likely you will experience gold confiscation if that was your ace in the hole, you will be a victim of this poorly administered economy. The part you can be proud of is that your hard work and lifetime of effort will make a lard butt congressman or another high ranking government elect or appointee more comfortable, safe and secure than the rest of your life will ever be….so how’s that hope and change going to work out for you?

    • JeffH

No COL for SS is already been announced.

  • RjCops

    Billy and Smilee

If either one of you can get Obama, Congress and the Sen to agree to participate in this Health Care (fall under the same rules and guide lines us little people will have to live by) and also to start paying into Social Security (and no longer get their salary for life (with cost of living increases)) then I will gladly accept the plan!

Not going to happen!! They know this is a piece of chit! and they don’t want to have any part of it nor do they want their family members having to live by it.

If it’s not good enough for them what the hell makes it good for anyone else!!!!!

  • Ron

Newt Gingrich might as well be a Democrat, (or maybe he is a closet Democrat). He is trying to get his act in gear so he can run for something. Evidently his congressional retirement is not enough to live on so he wants to increase it. He reminds me of McCain, he roles over everytine the Democrats get a little tough for him.

What we need is Sick Care and not Health Care. I see the Doctor only when I am Sick and then I stay on alert to prevent poisoning with high price drugs that I do not need. Then we have a Government, Of the Politicians, for the Politicians and By the Politicians so where do we stand now? Then again why do we always try to reinvent the wheel? Why, does our Politicians subsidies ADM to provide High Fructose Corn Syrup at a sum of 41.8 Billion in order for that company sells poison to everyone to make a profit? Presently I am 80 years old and take no medication and do my best to stay away for medical people. I was lucky that I never drank the poison HFCS in So called softdrinks or ate the foods like hot dogs(HFCS). I ask that you see beyond the lies and empty slick words being said by all snake oil selling politicians from the top down. Chef Robert

  • Ron

This president knows how to give a speech that will baffle even the strongest of minds. Hope everybody has learned there lesson by the next election.

    • billy

Speaking of minds- give yours a rest , you have 7 more years of this; keep breathing..

  • Dennis

How low will the Dem’s go? lol Jimmy Carter what a joke, how fukin stupid is this Administration. there going to use the RACE CARD good luck with that, You can stick the race card up your A ss thats not working anymore………….

    • JeffH

Dennis, you need to tone the language, no matter how po’d you are.

      • eyeswideopen

        thx jeff

      • Dennis

        JeffH,
I dont know who you are and i really dont care and this also goes for eyeswideopen, I will say what i want, when i want, how i want and where i want and that includes here.

        • JeffH

          Dennis…well excuse me.

        • eyeswideopen

Well, you don’t have the final say, Bob Livingston does, You are here by his good will and if he finds your talk offensive enough you will be banned from here. Dennis, you have no respect for anyone, much less for yourself. You could at least acknowledge that some women on this site, who are good Christian women don’t expect to be exposed to that kind of speaking.

    • billy

It’s not playing the race card- actually, that is what republicans are doing right now. they are playing the race card- i never heard in my life as much in the past two weeks about how white people are being “discriminated against”. you see, this is a republican thing now- they are the only ones doing it. its nonsense.

Carter was talking about the dangers of gun owners showing up at town hall meetings with their guns while the president is speaking. need i say more????????

Why did the republican minority leader go on national television and NOT address this!!!!!!!!!!!? look at what carter said- he is right. he is not calling white people racists.

and your minority leader missed a real opportunity to END THIS! but you know what i think? republicans in the senate and the congress don’t want to end this!

      • American Citizen

Billy, the guy who showed up at the rally with an assault rifle was a black men.

        • Smilee

Not the one I saw on TV, he was white, but I suppose there could of been a black on two, my guess is not, unless you seen it on FOX and they paid to stage it.

        • billy

Does that make it ok? Do you have a point?

    • American Citizen

Why do you young people think it’s so “cool” to use the F word all the time. It only shows a lack of respect for those to whom you’re talking as well as a lack of a good vocabulary.

  • American Citizen

As the old farmer said, “Good judgment comes from experience and a lot of that comes from bad Judgment.”

    • eyeswideopen

American, I agree, Joe Wilson, made another stupid mistake by claiming he was an immigration lawyer, State of South Carolina, searched their records, he isn’t registered for that field. The top immigration lawyer in the state, says he has never come across him in the 21 years he’s been practing, his good friend since 1968, says, he has only been a real estate lawyer, never immigration. YOU LIE!!! I say to Rep. Wilson. The one and same who belong to the racist group targeted by the Bush admin, as a dangerous extremist group. The Sons of the Confederate Veterans. WE are self destructing every time we open our mouths.

      • JeffH

        Three things here.
        1. SCV member. At one time he was a member, but it is UNKNOWN if he is still a member or did he, as many others did, quit after the SCV was taken over by radical extremists in 2002.

        2. Imigration lawyer? Can only find that he was a real estate lawyer. It appears he may have sealed his fate with that one…but did he practice under his birth name, Addison Graves Wilson, Sr with the law firm, Kirkland, Wilson, Moore, Taylor & Thomas which he helped co find.
Quoteed from TPMuckraker website:Of course, it’s certainly possible that Wilson took a few immigration cases early in his career, and the people we spoke to weren’t aware of them. But even if that’s the case, immigration law is a sophisticated, specialized field. Calling oneself an immigration attorney implies a body of technical knowledge and experience that Wilson, it appears, doesn’t possess. So it would be misleading in the extreme for Wilson to claim to have “been an immigration attorney,” as he did. Almost, dare we say it, a lie.

  • Elaine G.

The birth certificate question is still not over. The constitution has been compromised. Why is Obama spending so much money on lawyers to keep his birth certificate hidden?
    Health care bill will fund illegal immigrants, take away freedom of religion by forcing our taxes to pay for abortions, forcing doctors that don’t believe in abortion to perform them;
    Obama is also attempting to take away our right to bear arms; Also attempting to take away freedom of speech by silencing conservative radio;
Slowly, but surely, America will be changed, and NOT FOR THE BETTER.

    • JeffH

The birth certificate is a moot point. I agree his agenda is not in this countries best interest.

    • American Citizen

You nailed it. I get so tired of people who try to make this a racist issue when race has nothing to do with it. I don’t care if he’s yellow with purple polka dots, Obama’s programs are nothing more than trying to take control over our lives. As one Democrat said, “We can’t let a good crisis got to waste.” And they make everything a crisis (or at least call it one.)

      • eyeswideopen

American, The Dem’s aren’t making a race issue, it’s us stupid Republicans making stupid racist statements, carrying stupid racist signs, calling a President an Anti-Christ is not the smartest thing considering he does have a baptism record…. oh now you can go attack his church, who years ago, knew he would become president and forged a record…Christians are not acting like Christians, I think Glenn calling him a racist was one of the most bone headed things that man has ever said. Yes, I’m sure he hates his mother and grandmother and grandfather. Stupid Hey, did you finish reading about the Crusades? Informative wasn’t it. Where you suprised that us Christians killed other Christians and Jews?

        • JeffH

Many of the Dems in DC are crying the “Carter theme”. Obama needs to put a stop to it as our country does not need Washington to set that tone.
Sen. Wilsons outburst was not a racial outburst! Get over it and quit with the hype.

        • JeffH

The apples fall on both sides of the tree…believe what you want, but you are wrong!

        • American Citizen

Eyes, wise up. You can’t criticize any of Obama’s programs without being called a racist.

        • American Citizen

Eyes, quit with the “I’m a registered Republican” crap. Nobody believes you.

    • eyeswideopen

Elaine, you need to check the news today. A Georgia judge just gave a smack down to your birther dudes, sanctions are even being considered. Oh, how I love this legal system.

    • eyeswideopen

The judges are ruling and you birthers are getting the smack down. Oh, sometimes the legal system is really great!!

      • American Citizen

Yep, those liberal judges are just great. Not even willing to give a hearing.

        • American Citizen

By the way, I’m not a birther, I don’t care at this point. He was elected and we have to deal with what is.

    • Smilee

Is there any lie you will not believe?????

  • Orin Loos

Hey Billy, the Hope and Change, is not what you think. Its Rope and Chains. Watch out for whats to come, hope it wont be too late

    • Smilee

I’ll bet your into bondage too

      • American Citizen

Smilee, you claim to be a senior citizen. I would think you’d be wiser than this.

    • billy

did you go and see sarah palin speak yet?

      • Smilee

Do you think he fantasizes using his ropes and chains on her too.

  • Mickey

Obama has lied so many times before & after the election,it’s has became a daily thing for him. If you hang around crap soon you begin to smell & become that substance “crap”! Bush let the nation down by caving to the Fed & Paulson. Obama promised to not make the same mis-steps as Bush, but the temptation was there & he took it. You can trace this alway through his life.
Now where is that PEN he was to use to cut waste from any bill that reached his desk? He gave it to the banks, unions bosses, car cos, acorn & his czars. Old Ben said the Ression/Depression was over, but tell that to the milions without jobs, unemployment funds in many States are empty, unless they go to the Feds that have Ropes attached to it that will strangled the ability to shead that rope.States rights have been attacked for a perpose, the federal gov wants complete control, where as they can over ride the governors of each State to tap into resouses to fund the Federal Reserve that funds congress & the useless programs they deem important enough to put their name on it!
Look up Cap & Tax & what it did to Spain,at one time before Gore got his un-nobel prize for lieing, you could google cap & trade & its effects in Spain & you would find a different story that what google now shows, but you can search the bloggersphear & get the real truth. A recent FOIA released shows that C&T will put 200billion into the govs coffers, costing a average of $1731.00 to 4375.00 per household in the USA. The poor & disabled on fixed incomes can not take such a hit on a income that will not receive a Cost of Living Increase for the next 2 years, all this from the govs way of counting inflation. Churchs & non-profits that help the disabled have seen a decrease in donations by 60% plus, this will cause a huge problem for these people, while Obama & his many Orgs like Acorn,SICU take billions to live in lavash ways. It’s a damn shame when Russians are telling Americans you are about to see just how bad Marxist leadership feels while your leaders are nice & warm, you will be left to eat garbage off the streets,& if you dont think it cant happen here, take a look around, its already going on & spreading fast. Barney Franks,Dodd,Pelosie,Ried could care less about you.
Americans elected a man that has no business in running this nation,he has never ran a real business,he always fould a Free ride for schooling,he hung with Radicals to learn the ins & outs of how to game the system, where he taught others to do the same. He was embraced by the Chicago Political Crime gang that got him to the WH. His time serving a a US senator was spent running for president. Now that he holds that office,he is still campaining to pass HC,cap & trade & to get Unions to take over the work place.
Obama picked a economic team that has let the Fed & treasury put us so far into debt the dollar is in dire trouble, our markets are Manipulated by the Fed & by its proxies(JP Morgan,Goldmans & Central Banks around the world).Free trade has been used by the big corps to out sourse cheap labor, leaving Americans jobless. Without free markets that support small businesses, more jobs will be lost to gov run intites like the post office. Untill the to big to fail bamks are broken up & the quadtrillions of OTC Derivatives of worthless paper is put out in the public eyes we are at the mercy of the holders of our debt that Obama is planning to expan at at fast rate. Please read or google “Professor Antal E.Fekete” resent letter to Paul Volker & Obamas other economic slugs. If you want to get sobar real fast, read the articles at “www.goldstandardinstitute.com.” If that does not get your mind awake to our future that awaits the world & the American people, nothing will. Some are doers, some are followers & then you have the ones that just watch it al go by as they set on their ass waiting for the gov to pay their way, its time to be a doer by getting involved in gov, local, state & federal! The Progressives gave the purse strings to the un-constitutional Federal Reserve Banking Cartel in 1913, Congress has not done its job nor has our Surpreme Court, its time they do!

  • Doreen McCoy

Oh by the way it will soon be time that we will not be able to voice our opions since he wants to sneak in and check on our computers now. The next thing they will tell me I can not have a pet in my house for gosh sakes or that I can not have a gun in my house either. It might come a time when I will have to report when I go to the darn bathroom in my own house. We have all worked so hard in our lives to get what little we do have and they want to take everything away from us. What about smoking soon I will be told I can not smoke in my house and or car while he sets in the White House and smokes like a chimney with his dog and is also allowed to drink when he wants to. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE? We are not allowed to do anything anymore. What is good for the goose is sure not good for us! I am pissed.

  • BABUSHSKA

What’s wrong with this picture is that a democratic president has been elected. Here in Michigan, our two term democratic governor does nothing to make our state “business friendly.” With a current unemployment rate of 15.9% – and Michigan has had the highest unemployment rate in the NATION for the last 41 months!!! (though not at 15.9). What does this picture say? “It is the poor who habitually elect democrats — yet they are still the poor.”

    • billy

If Mccain was elected last year- we would have seen the second great depresssion. you are too misinformed to know our country is better off because of this democratic president.

  • Rod

Now, Baucus is proposing a &3,800 fine for anyone not willing to take
their so called, health care plan. A traitor to his country and now
represents Obama and not the people who voted him in to office! Don’t
think the people of his state are going to stand for that!!!

    • JeffH

Obama supports the idea of fines (180 turnaround from campaign?), as I just watched a CNN report.
Still havn’t checked MSNBC, but Hannity is on soon and will see how he presents it.

      • billy

no he does not- this is ridiculous! what’s even more is: what are you doing watching CNN? hah!

    • JeffH

3800 is a max family fine I believe.

    • billy

Finally a republican making some sense. “SOME” Baucus is a traitor. He would actually make healthcare more expensive if he had his way. But do not say Obama is supporting him- you will see what Obama stands for – and I assure you it is not what Baucus is offering.

  • LarryA

I haven’t “heard” anyone here relate to the real problem. Most of you will hate and reject what I say – but I’m not speaking to you. I believe there are some with a true knowledge of and relationship with Almighty God that will hear and understand… The problem goes clear back to the Garden of Eden… that’s where man decided his way was better than that of Creator God… it continues to this very day. Unless you are in right relationship with God through His Son – you are DOMINATED BY THE SIN NATURE…(that includes MOST of our government, etc. The ONLY solution is a deep, heart-felt appeal to the God of this universe – for a REVIVAL of His WAY in hearts and lives!!!

    • chuck b

      larry

I think god looks down on this mess and shakes his head, what have i done! i placed a muslim in the white house hmmm! (bad move)

      • eyeswideopen

        Chuck, we place him there.

        • Smilee

Eyes I’m betting god is cheering and saying hay them kids of mine finally got right, they voted for the right guy.

    • billy

So you probably believe then that Eve was created from Adam’s rib?
And I bet you would love to see Sarah Palin run for president in 2012?
What the hell do they teach you at that church of yours anyway? I think it’s time you found a new religion

  • BABUSHSKA

LarryA: This country does need a spiritual revival and a turning back to God. I believe it will happen but not on a large scale. Satan has been loosed and he knows his time is short. He has already begun
his movement to suppress and persecute Christians through movies, media, government, music, videos, and false prophets within and outside the church, including using radical Islamists living in the USA whose agenda is to make Islam the religion of the world through jihad. Unfortunately, our very own president is not a Christian no matter what he says. True, bible following Christians know that there is only one way to heaven, not many ways as Obama has said, and that is belief in, and acceptance of Jesus Christ as your personal savior.
Obama was recently asked to either appear or send a prayer to be read for the National Day of Prayer and the White House blew that request off. But shortly after he hosted a dinner for Islamists and stated that Christianity and Islam have a lot in common. NOT!

    • billy

Thank God that our president is NOT a christian. Remember what happened to our country that last time when a “christian” was in charge.

  • James Corbin

If Obama isn’t corrupt—–Why does he associate or hang around with corrupt people. Acorn,Tony Rezko, Rev. Wright, Bill Ayers and not to mention the corrupt czars. I would think the president of the United States would have better aquaintance!

    /

    /

    • chuck b

      james

The problem he has is himself. this man has grown into politics with the help of those kind of people (corrupt,)(marxist,)and they have an agenda to do away with the wasp conservative base. the schools have done their part since the 1960′s and as time went by they have mushroomed into a powerful force in this country. in running a black man for president they suckered in a lot of good meaning americans, trying to be fair and showing they were not prejudice, the media covered his tracks and walla hes president. almost everyone surrounding this guy with the exception of a few are very corrupt. controversial people.
he even conned me for awhile, when i first heard one of his speech’s he made remarks like he would clean up the energy (oil) rip off and get this country self sufficient. that was a false statement, he had no intentions of drilling for oil, why should he, his buddies are all big time speculators and making millions on the future’s market. i believe the energy market is what caused this recession and now they are back at it again. so look out.

    • eyeswideopen

James, here we go again, who do you think hung out with these people? Jac Abrahoff, Scooter Libby, Trent Lott, Tom Delay, Newt Gingrich, Karl Rove, Dick Armey, Claude Allen, Portr Goss, Donald Keyser, Thomas Scully, John Ashcroft, Jim Bakker, Jimmy Swaggert, David Safavian,John Walters, Tom Noe, Leandro Aragoncillo and the list goes on and on and on…..Yep, these are the people that Bush hung out with, and you will notice, many of them have served prision time, were run out of office, and that’s the facts.

    • American Citizen

You forgot the criminals in his cabinet.

    • billy

Yea Yea James- Like Karl Rove or Dick Cheney or Donald Rumsfeld. IDIOT!

  • James Corbin

Chuck, You are exactly right! He is very misleading! He isn’t truthful
He just says anything to make people think he is working for them! Have you heard the background of some of his czars and what their beliefs are? It is scary.

  • James Corbin

Babushska, I agree with your thinking!

  • James Corbin

Mr.Wilson, Was right to voice his thoughts. Thats what is so great about america. Mr.Wilson knew the truth!!!

    • billy

      you are dumb

    • eyeswideopen

Maybe he should have checked his own voting record and professional licenses prior to opening his big mouth and exposing himself to be a hypocrite by voting for Medicare Advantage and outright lying about being an immigration lawyer. Hah,,, what a joke, us Repubs are really in trouble.

      • American Citizen

Eyes, you keep downing Medicare Advantage when most of us don’t know what you’re talking about. Explain what it is and we might go along with you. As for Medicare itself, I don’t believe you have it or you wouldn’t put it down. It is not free as I keep saying. There are premiums for part B, Supplemental Insurance and Medicare Drug plan for which there is not only a premium but a co-pay for all drugs. In the drug plan, if you take an expensive medication as I do, you hit the “donut hole” within a few months. Then you have to pay the full cost yourself.
If Congress would keep its hands off the money brought in by the SS taxes and Medicare taxes, those programs would not be in trouble. They throw all monies into the general fund to pay for the pork. That’s also what would most likely happen with this healthcare plan. Congress uses no fiscal restraint, they spend monies they don’t have. It’s not tax cuts (which historically bring in more money) but the spending that’s the problem.

        • Smilee

          AC

Hope this will help, In 2003 the republican congress passed and Bush signed a bill that added Parts C and Part D to Medicare, as you have part D and seem to understand it (your drug plan) I will not address that plan. Part C includes what is being called Medicare Advantage Plans and these are not government run plans but private sector plans that Medicare pays part of the premium for and you pay a premium as well, these plans are mostly HMO’s PPO’s and fee for service plans where you are in a HMO’s and PPO’s in a network of doctor and hospitals and you may need referrals to see some doctors and be limited to their doctors and hospitals except in emergencies, your choices are greatly reduced. Each Plan decided its own rules. You may have to pay a lot of copays as well. These plans are regulated mostly by the states so your legal protections can vary from state to state. When you go on these plans you will no longer receive benefits From Medicare Parts A & B and maybe not D as well. The biggest disadvantage the plan has if you go on it is that you cannot get your medicgap plan back unless the insurance underwriters agree to cover you, in other words if you do not take Medigap and A & B or leave it for these advantage plan you may be stuck with them. Their are a lot of draw backs to these plans and actually disadvantage the seniors who use them because you can get better coverages with A & B and a medigap plan that with these plans and you have total choice in doctors and hospitals as there are no networks and they are cheaper for the taxpayer because the Advantage Plans cost the taxpayer 14% more for those that are on these plans (I believe it is a little over 7 million people that are on it) Obama wants to pay these plans the same amounts for services as the government pays the original and use that money saved to pay for his reforms in another words save that 14% that the 2003 law increased Medicare costs that only helped the corporate world not the senior. I believe that bill was a mistake and should be eliminated, Obama will keep it but wants to change the payment system to it costs the same as the A & B plans. Hope this helps

          • American Citizen

Thanks, Smilee. I had never heard of it before and most likely we would not have taken it knowing how it works. We’re satisfied with what we’ve got. i guess you are, too. It’s like they say, if it ain’t broke, don’t try to fix it.

  • James Corbin

The dumb will confound the (supposedly ) wise!!!

  • James Corbin

Yes—–But, Obama’s czars have bad backgrounds. Evil!!!

  • James Corbin

I am a registered democrat, but I can’t believe some of you people—you don’t care what happen to our country, or even think maybe some of the things are right! I don’t care what color the skin is—that doesn’t make a person. Don’t be so stiffednecked that you can’t listen to the other side. After all we have to have a two party system.

  • James Corbin

We are going to be in debt from now on—-Our children, great, great and on down the line. That sounds like depression to me!!!
Bush, didn’t to everything right—But I thing everybody was living pretty good!!!

    • American Citizen

It was only in the 80′s after Reagan was elected that we were able to buy a home and start investing. By the time my husband retired, we had enough to last us quite a few years, hopefully until we die, to supplement SS. We don’t have the expenses we used to have, except for medical. So far, they haven’t been too bad, even though we both have major medical problems. Our health care is the greatest. We have no complaints. I am really afraid of what the Democrats want to do to our health care system. They will not fix anything as what really needs fixing isn’t being addressed.

  • American Citizen

I hate it when there’s no reply under a post. I meant that one post for Billy, not Smilee. Sorry about that.

  • American Citizen

David Horowitz said it best on the racism charges by the left “The Democrats are using the blacks as a shield.”

  • American Citizen

The main reason we can say we know Obama lies is that he was once a member of the legislature and he knows he is making promises he can’t keep. The real power is with Congress.
