‘Failed’ Terrorist Plots And The Fight To Keep America Scared

‘Failed’ Terrorist Plots And The Fight To Keep America Scared

“Should we accept everything they say as true? Probably not.” Those are the words of CNN Pentagon Correspondent Chris Lawrence, talking about the accounts of Guantánamo Bay (Gitmo) detainees, in documents released by WikiLeaks starting on April 24. The documents contain startling amounts of intelligence about failed or rejected al-Qaida plots. So why does Lawrence tell us not to take every word at face value?

Because it’s all probably bunk, made up to avoid torture.

“The documents draw on the testimony of witnesses — in most cases, the prisoners’ fellow prisoners — whose words are unreliable, either because they were subjected to torture or other forms of coercion (sometimes not in Guantánamo, but in secret prisons run by the CIA), or because they provided false statements to secure better treatment in Guantánamo,” WikiLeaks said.

So why would CNN (and plenty of other mainstream news outlets) run this story? Because Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the self-proclaimed “mastermind” behind the attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon, is one of the prisoners mentioned in the documents.

Mohammed claimed there were plans to attack the “tallest building in California” (and Washington state), destroy the Brooklyn bridge and blow up gas stations.

There was even a plot involving the use of Sega game cartridges as remote-controlled firing devices. I guess they don’t have the Wii in Afghanistan.

The release of all these documents — many of which refer to terror threats the Department of Homeland Security claims to have already handled — serves an interesting dual purpose.

On the one hand, the good guys caught the bad guys, and aren’t we so lucky that the government stopped so many terrorist plots? Isn’t it wonderful knowing we’re safe? Maybe we don’t need all those Constitutional rights after all.

But hold on — if these are the terrorists they caught, what about all those bad guys who are still out there?! We killed their boss; the terrorists are going to be really mad now. We need to pay these higher taxes — the Government needs more of my money to keep me safe.

George Orwell was right: “When memory failed and written records were falsified — when that happened, the claim of the Party to have improved the conditions of human life had got to be accepted, because there did not exist, and never again could exist, any standard against which it could be tested.”

Yepper, keep us scared, Scared folks are easily manipulated. Like a cattlemen with a cattle prod, that zaps the herd into whatever direction they want us to go._

Lets see, how many other scares they’ve thrown at us over the years, there was the “Egg” scare,(eggs were bad for us, until they miraculously produced Lipitor? (correct me if this is the wrong meds)then there was “Salt”, that’s been on the carpet for years.,”Coffee” but now its been found coffee is good for us…then there is”Sugar”, it makes ya fat__problem is, TIME a regular on here and I had this conversation, that our bodies are created from water, salts and sugars, hence we need them!__From homeland security “if you see something, say something” (which is ridiculous, because most normal folks would do this anyway)_Then there is the incessant washing of the hands after you touch anything, (any reasonable person knows, if you constantly wash away germs, you’ll never build immunities and thus become sicker….Honestly, The list is endless, __we don’t need to be told what to fear, we are reasonably intelligent people, although our GUV treats us as if we’re third world cave dwellers. For who knows better whats good for than our GUV and they’re News Media(tongue in cheek)___Yeah Right…

      Hey Angel!

You remind me of severl things that illustrate the dumbing down of the general populace.

The first is that recent Bayer aspirin commercial where the guy asks the stewardess for a pain reliever. She hands him a packet of aspirin and he says “oh, I’m not having a heart attack”.

And then there is this show called “Storage Wars” where they follow these folks who bid on storage locker auctions. ( I love auctions the way some people crave slot machines.) Well one guy wins a locker that has some antique Naval flare guns. He comments that if they were regular firearms he’d “have to turn them over to the ATF” I’m like, where does he get that idea?? He’s probably 10 years my senior (60s), and yet actually believes this!

And then there’s the fact that use of a defibrillator WILL NOT cause the patient to violently jerk every time it is used. I’m a medical equipment technician, and you’d be surprised how many RN’s actually believe this. Speaking of repair men, don’t get me started on the stereotypes the media has propagated over the years (butt-crack-brigade!)

While all of these examples individually sound humorous, they show just how the media and the government have distorted reality over the years to the point that many of us are not even aware that some of what we accept as factual is pure fabrication.

      • http://! Angel Wannabe

CS, the list is absolutely endless, what the News Media and their masters have fed us over the years. Thank Christ folks are waking up to this crap, but there will always be a few straggling behind.

        • EddieW

Isn’t it terrible? the alphabet news media are losing viewers! You don’t suppose the people finally realized that they don’t actually give the news, but pap and entertainment?? Most of the real news is totally passed over, and then too, NEVER a word against Obozo, our Liar in chief!! Who they support for reelection, and it was they who fooled the people into voting for him in the first place…hopefully we know better now!!

          • http://! Angel Wannabe

eddieW, yeah Even Fox news, they report more than most, but there is a lot they could report on, and don’too. Same Shyte, Different Sandbox! :)

            EddieW:

It always annoys me when someone insists that saying anything bad about Oblama is actually racism. In other words, we aren’t to say anything bad about their man for any reason at all. And it makes me snort every time I hear one of them insist that saying things bad about him is going to make anyone who runs against him lose.

After all, if all you say is good things, then how can you get anyone else to defeat him?

      • independant thinker

Remember where storage wars is filmed. It is mostly in Kalifornia with a few in Vegas but with the same Kalifornia cast.

At least part of the patients jerking violently when de-fibed is dramatic license. Not saying they do not use it for neferious purposes though.

Governments have always controlled the people through fear, this isn’t anything new, just repackaged propaganda. at least some of us have the eyes to see, and ears to hear.

First off Bob, a Great Blog, thanks.

Al, Cliff & Angel, all very interesting post.

Right out of the Nazi playbook too…

“Naturally the common people don’t want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor in Germany. That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.”
        ~ Hermann Goering quote

        • Kate8

You guys are soooooo right. The MIC has been using psy-ops to control people for a very long time.

I read how our military in war zones such as Iraq, bombards the target people with bogus fear scenarios, in addition to using frequency devices to elicit fear, panic, nightmares, etc. After a few weeks of this, strong men come out in surrender, psychologically broken down.

Well, they’ve been doing the same thing to us! Feed us all kinds of disinfo to keep us in a state of anxiety…keep us generally stressed out in every part of our lives. They also bombard US with those same anxiety-inducing frequencies via TV, cellphone towers…how many of us have headaches and constant unease…

Years ago I read a book called “The Montauk Project”, telling about the early use of microwave experimentation on target areas. I also remember the flap (’60s?) about people in embassies being harmed by bombardment with microwaves. Well, they’ve come a long way, baby…

We’re constantly fed conflicting info from every possible angle, so we have no idea what’s true and what isn’t. We’re kept in a state of mass confusion, so some believe everything and others believe nothing. We’re kept divided and fighting amongst ourselves, so that we distrust our countrymen, and fail to form the human bonds we once had.

The war being waged on us is a war on our minds, and it’s been a huge success. It’s up to us to snap out of it and take back the only thing we truly have…our minds, spirits…our personal sovereignty.
And also, to learn, once again, to love and honor our fellow-man.

          • 45caliber

Keep in mind that “fear sells”. They know it. If they told us that everything was goodness and light, no one would watch the news or buy newspapers. If they can keep us scared, we’ll do that every day to discover the latest threats.

It always annoys me when someone on the news states that “everyone in that area are terrified.” Hardly. But by saying it, they are also saying, “If you are not terrified something is wrong with you.” Well, I’m not terrified of terrorists. And I doubt if very many of us are. Careful, maybe. But terrified? Not hardly.

          • Carole Howell

            Kate8

Brilliantly said, I agree. I stopped watching TV 20 years ago. I read a lot and I notice that people (hard working people) who try to squeeze in time for news, utilize the TV for that because it saves then time.
            There lies the problem.

Plus, I know they use subliminals, in ads, even political ads, and in many other places. How else do they get people to believe without thinking for themselves and using common sense? We were not always like this.

        • 45caliber

          JC:

And it is right, too. Take a look at WWI. Our government wanted in but our citizens didn’t. So they put weapons on the Lucitania and told the Germans they were there. The Germans ran ads telling the people in New York the ship was going to be sunk because of the weapons; the Fed. Government insisted that it was perfectly safe. And when it was sunk – they declared war on Germany.

In WWII, they knew about the plans to attack Pearl Harbor two weeks before the attack came. They chose to allow the attack to happen since they wanted us in the war. That worked too.

So what is different now? Not a thing.

          • JC

Those are accurate observations 45. Not entirely sure about the two weeks thing…but I know that there was plenty of warning.

That said, I have to wonder why people would be shocked when I say
911 was an inside job. As though the US Govt. wouldn’t kill a few Americans to advance an agenda? Of course they would, and they have!

The whole system needs to be tossed and reinvented under the original Constitution, and we might as well start with the Kenyan and his band of merry socialists.

          • DaveH

Here are the events leading up to the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. They don’t teach these things in public school:
            http://history-world.org/events_leading_to_the_japanese_a.htm

          • 45caliber

A few additions to the link:

Two weeks before the attack on Pearl, the Japanese Ambassodor to Washington received a message telling of the attack and when it would strike. He was to prepare for the reaction to it by the Americans. It was decoded by the Pentagon. There was a decision made to NOT give advance warning to Pearl since it was felt such an attack was needed to get the American people to decide to go to war.

However, one reason for this decision was that the American fleet was at sea. They felt that the attack on Pearl would simply hit an empty base.

In addition, the admiral at Pearl had been told that a sizable force of AMERICAN war planes were being flown in to reinforce Pearl. However, as they arrived they would stage a mock attack on Pearl as a training exercise. Those in the Pentagon weren’t aware of this.

The day before the attack, the fleet came in. In fact, it takes threee days to heat up the boilers on the ships before they could generate enough steam to power the engines. When the attack came, they were still hot enough to give the ships a chance to run for the sea.

The night before the attack, the Pentagon sent a message to the admiral in charge that read, “Expect a surprise in the morning.” The admiral assumed they were talking about the American plane training drill and ordered that all ammo presently at anti-aircraft batteries be locked up to prevent any accidents. Therefore none of the weapons were armed when the real attack came.

After the attack, when they finally realized what had happened, the Pentagon realized that the officers there could get into serious problems by knowing of the attack and not letting others know. It was decided that the alert message they had sent the admiral at Pearl could alibi that they had given a warning – and they blamed the admiral for ignoring it. He was releaved of command and court martialed for not being ready for the attack.

        • BigBadJohn

Sounds EXACTLY like the aftermath of 9/11. Don’t remember what it said, but I had a bumper sticker denouncing Bush’s build up to invading Iraq. I used to travel a lot and left my truck at the airport parking lot. When I came back someone took a screw driver to bumper to deface the sticker and scratched the heck out of my bumper… denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism.

At one time about 80% of the people went along with Bush and his push to invade Iraq – it works all of the time on the Sheep.

      Angel:

The statement “if you see something, say something,” has always bothered me. Actually what they are saying is, “we want you to report everything you see your neighbors do.”

One of Clinton’s Goals 2000 education programs was to “teach honesty to the kids”. What that consisted of was the teacher asking all the kids each day if they had seen their parents do something that was against the law. If they did, the teacher would then write down the info and send it to the police so they could ticket or arrest the parents. This was supposed to teach the children to always obey the laws. Actually, it was meant to teach the kids to always report if the parents (or anyone else) did something the government might not like – like teach the children the government couldn’t be trusted.

        45, indoctrination at it’s finest!

        • Carlucci

Has anyone ever noticed when watching the lame stream news, they’ll get ramped up on a story to scare people, but if you listen carefully, they will say things like “it COULD happen”, “the storm MAY strike the West Coast”, “there is the POSSIBILITY of another terrorist attack”, etc.
I don’t think people listen to those words I capitalized because they are too focused on the negative tone and facial expression of the commentator (i.e., hack t.v. “journalist”).

          • http://! Angel Wannabe

Carlucci, yes the media sensationalizes everything to the hilt. And right now there is enough fear in people to go around these United States a 1000 times. But oh, they the media, they get they’re breaking stories out to the people. Its so damned obvious that the Lame Stream Media is attached at the hip of Washington. And I can’t believe that Soro’s pays his Progressive minions, that much, to be this loyal to the NWO, or are they ruling “them” the minons, by fear too?.

I have 10 grand children who all went to school during the Clinton years, some in different schools, some in different cities and states.

Oregon, Washington, California, Utah, S. Dakota. None of them said they experienced that from their teachers. My great grand kids say they have not had their teachers questioning them either. Hmmmmmmmm

        Kate 8,
I suggest you read the Koran, it is not a very long book you know. And please do not paint all Muslims with the same brush. Do not forget the KKK people were Christians and so it would be unfair for Muslims to paint all Christians in that light. Don’t you think?

Please do not forget that we have many, many evil, crazy people who have done horrible things and to their own families, and yet profess to be Christians. There have been Christians who rape their own daughters.

You use an example where families lived side by side for 200 years peaceably, then one man commits a horrible crime in that 200 years and you make him out to be the norm. That is just wrong.

The histories of both religions can boast of acts of greatness and acts of evil horrors. Please let us be reasonable.

        • Kate8

Carole Howell – What I have read are books written by former Muslims who are telling us how it really is. They also tell that any Koran written in English is written for infidel consumption, and is not the same as the one written in Arabic. The mandates for death to all infidels, and the required torture and mayhem, are left out.

Nowhere in Christianity is it mandated by our God to kill all non-believers. In fact, the opposite is true. We are instructed to love them, and we are to refrain from all acts of violence. To compare the teachings of Christ with the teachings of Mohammad is to compare our Lord with satan, for indeed, Islam is the army of antichrist.

I’m sure there are some Muslims who do not adhere strictly to their religion, but if you heed the warnings of those who have lived Islam, the numbers are few. If they are “true believers” then they MUST look forward to the day when they must obey Allah’s command to kill.

We are warned by them that westerners are naive and blinded by PC. In fact, we are PC to the point of being suicidal.

You are wasting your time trying to convince me to be more “tolerant”. I’d rather protect my children and my country (though that is too late). There are many graves containing millions of headless bones of those who thought like you.

          • 45caliber

Kate8: there are references to killing all others, etc. in the Qoran – not the Koran. They are seperate books. I have both on the computer. They are not, however, clear. So I am sure the Muslim version is plainer. In addition, the only Muslim version they believe is still written in the original language used at that time. Most of the fundamentalists are not allowed to learn any other language for fear they might read something that would make them wonder about the original version.

The real problem with Islam is that there is NO way to get to heaven except by doing good works or by being killed in jihad. And there is no explaination of what “good works” might be. If you help a Christian, did you do a good work or sin? If you don’t help one, did you sin? They don’t know. So it comes down to – if you want to go to Paradise, you have to die in jihad. What is funny to me (and most fundatmentalists don’t realize) is that suicide is an automatic trip to hell (as a place, not a curse word). They target the young who are most likely to get involved in religion for their suicide bombers. And Paradise as such is NOT in their holy books. Neither is the 72 virgins. AT MOST, they are promised if they are very good that they will be given “a dark eyed maiden” as a wife when they get to heaven. One. The rest came from Mohammed’s nephew who was creating the “Cult of the Assassin” so he could rule them by assassination.

          • Kate8

45 – As far as I know, the only difference between the Koran and Qoran is the spelling. They use Qs and Ks interchangeably. Actually, it is we who do that, since the difficulty lies in translating Arabic into English.

The two books they use are the Koran and the Hadith. The Koran is the original satanic dictates to Mohammad, and the Hadith was written later to elaborate on things left in question.

The bottom line is, Islam and western culture are diametrically opposed. When God’s people turn from His Ways, His protection is lifted, and their antichrist enemies invade their nations. Such is the way it’s ever been.

        • 45caliber

          Carole:

I didn’t say that all schools put his Goals 2000 into affect. They didn’t. Here in Texas, the state sent a message to all school boards stating that they WOULD put it into affect or they would dismiss the school boards and appoint people to do as they said. I helped derail that (In fact, I wrote the cover page sent to all school boards.) Over half the school boards in the state told the state to go to h3ll. They backed down. Other schools had also instituted several things prior to this and found they were all failures.

The program taught several things other than “honesty”. It was to teach “racial relationships” by telling each race in gradeschool that they were special – except the whites of course. What happened in Chicago, who did this, was that each race assumed they were the special ones and all others had to do as they said – which generated more racial problems than anywhere else in the US. The program was to teach “alternate lifestyles” – which included gays, polygamy, etc. The students were to be taught that they should try each life style and then select what was best for them. They were to teach that all religion was a myth. They were to teach that the government was “always right”. There were several other things but these were the main focus of the program. That’s why we didn’t want it and fought against it. The program basically went down the drain as reports of the various failures at the few schools who tried it leaked out.

The Useless Nuts: Agenda 21, Global Poverty Act, Millennium Development Goals. Progressives brought about the Fed, a banking cartel NOT a federal agency. Mind control was being examined and discussed greatly in the early days of TV by those looking to overthrow this nation without a shot being fired. Prohibition was brought about by a very few who got the backing from “public servants”, and that ended to usher in the ATF when all those agents about to be out of a job were given a new job working for WE the People. Check out the Bonus Marchers, get past the fluff that it was justified to use military force against WW1 Vets. It’s all over the radar…cloward-piven exists in our world now where we can’t keep up with the clowns. Circuit court judges nominate by oboingo who redefine radical, $20Billion printed every week devaluing the dollar, Clinton signing treaties that subvert the Constitution, sending American Warriors to their demise/injury overseas instead of defending American borders, lawsuits against states for upholding federal laws in one state-AZ-then suing another state for not upholding federal law-UT: http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.printable&pageId=273913 And the liberals keep on chanting the same racist, bigot, anti-American, anti-Self Reliant crap, but not a mention of the blasphemy of oboingo that is the steroid version of the same stuff “w” was doing when sheehan was standing in the ditch of Crawford, TX screaming on a bullhorn. I’d like to see someone try that stunt outside the WH fence today! ballots or bullets…it’s just a couple of vowels difference that separates those public servants from Thomas Jefferson’s prophetic words of the manure of Liberty.

That we all have ZERO IQ’s, as well must be told what to do for our own good.

Remember California Congressman Pete Stark? Now what was it he said…? Oh yeah, “The Federal Government can do most anything in This Country.”

      • Jeep

And, what do they think of the Constitution? Just ask Pelosi…When asked where the Constitution authorizes Congress to order Americans to buy health insurance, Pelosi said, “Are you serious?” So much for that…

        • http://Illinois'17th Old Henry

          Jeep:

Also, congressman Phil Hare, D IL when asked the same question stated he didn’t care about the Constitution.

He was one of the 83 Congressional Democrat members of the Democrat Socialist Conference, or committe, or something along that line.

By the way, he lost last November to a TEA Party Conservative.

          • Carole Howell

Republicans are just as bad, Bush in a fit of temper over having the US Constitution constantly thrown at him said “It is nothing but a piece of paper”

Oh! and let us not forget what he said about Osama, he said “I really don’t even think of him anymore” remember that one? So much for his promise of hunting the people responsible down and bringing them to justice.

But, let me add. I wish Osama had been taken alive and made to stand trial. If we were a nation of laws, that is what would have taken place.
It could have been done, he was found unarmed in his bedroom in the middle of the night. Why wasn’t he not held for trial? A very good question for Obama. The navy seals were ordered to kill him on sight. Otherwise, they would have been taken alive to stand trial.

You say people were dancing in the streets, I was disappointed he did not stand trial. Much could have been learned by his trial.

Another question for Obama, he said in public when questioned about Pvt. Manning, that Manning was guilty. How could he have said that. Manning had not been charged with any crime and has not gone to court. We are all taught, including Obama, that a person is innocent until proven guilty by a court of law.

Manning did not have a security clearance, therefore he did not have access to top secret security files. Manning was simply a whistle blower who saw some illegal acts committed.

The Military cannot have it both ways. They say you are not to follow an order that is against the law. Well, I would take that to mean you should not take part in covering up an illegal act. Manning thought the same, to know about it and not come forward would be part of a cover-up.

Where is the honor, what are we becoming. If it were up to me Obama would have to answer for these things. Bush would also have to answer for taking us to war based on lies.

If we don’t clean house it will only get dirtier.

          • DaveH

Thomas Jefferson — “”Banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and the corporations that will grow up around them, will deprive the people of all their property until their children wake up homeless…”

            Now we have both.

You stated it perfectly. Not until WE decide the fate of this nation, as we are is posterity currently, does this nation fail. Jackasses running gov’t only have the power we have loaned them to fulfill their public service. They are not above the law and they are not above us–Only The Lord is above us. Scum like Pelosi, et al have nothing but disdain for those of us who wish for nothing more than to be left alone, to live independent, self-reliant lives, to worship as we please, exercise our God-Given UNALIENABLE RIGHTS, and hand to our posterity a nation protected by the tenets of her Constitutional Republic (that we have failed miserably to keep!). I am quite sure that if the Lord allows, that John Adams is one insanely pissed off American Patriot in Heaven these days. The Constitution of the U.S. does not give you anything! The Constitution of the U.S. simply puts into visual form what we have by being American Citizens–You as an American have these Rights, Liberties and Freedoms; no “man” can take them from you or grant them to you, Only The Lord Jesus Christ. If you choose to relinquish your absolute American responsibility to defend and protect your Rights, then you deserve the chains upon you.

        • Kate8

Well said, Isaac. Rights are not bestowed by government, but by our Creator. Our Constitution simply acknowleges these inherent rights.

For those who do not believe in a Creator, or any kind of higher power then, by default, they must believe that rights come from government. What man, or group of men, have the right to decide what rights we are entitled to, that their rights are superior to ours and that they have the right to power over us? I suppose this is the law of survival of the fittest, and that the biggest bullies get to push everyone else around.

It will only be when we stop playing their games and living by their rules that we will have the self-respect to live as we see fit. We must, en masse, refuse to comply with all of these illegal Acts of Congress and EOs, because we are on the right side of the Law of the Land. Otherwise, we will live as slaves with no power to decide anything for ourselves.

It is obvious that those running things aren’t going to respect we the people, so it is up to us to change things. There just aren’t any other options.

  • DaveH

The one that sickens me is that they campaign all over the world, pissing off everybody they can, and then they tell us they’re fighting for our Freedom. At the same time, they’re passing laws like they’re going out of style, taking away our Freedom.
Sadly, a very large portion of the population buys into the scam.

    • DaveH

Now, Obama is threatening Syria, and Iran is supposedly building missile bases in Venezuela.
The Nanny Statists and the Military Statists are in a race to see which can kill our Country first.

  • Richard Pawley

Just checked the weather channel to see if there was going to be a break in the week long rain here in the northeast (with more predicted) and I noticed they were saying that the terrible flooding of the Mississippi was going to cause an increase in the cost of food. While this may be true the continual waste of monies by the incessant spending of congress is going to cause far more inflation than any flood. A recent quote in an article in the many sent to me said, “Kicking radical leftists out of Congress can no longer save the economy!” That too is true, but anything we can do to slow down the demise of the dollar and the economy has got to be beneficial for all who have made it their goal to survive this decade and see what the future will bring. I think it will be the most interesting decade since WWII, if you are prepared for the big inflation that is coming and eventual shortages. May God bless the United States of America. No one else is going to do so!

    • http://! Angel Wannabe

Richard, were in the Northeast too, tired of rain!!!__BTW, I went for groceries yesterday, a Large conatainer of Maxwell House Coffee was $13.99, Pound of bacon $6.99._Just say’in…

      • JC

Symptomatic of the coming shortages Angel. First things get expensive, then the quality suffers, then there is short supply and greater expense, then things start to disappear.

At least by all reports, that’s how it went in the dirty 30′s.
Get prepared any way you can. Calmly! ;)

        • http://! Angel Wannabe

JC, Yeah ya have to do it calmly. I’ve been through a good bit in almost 55 years so It takes a good bit to scare me. It’s easier to prepare when ya know whats coming. The real tests come, when they are sprung on ya. Thankfully the Good Lord has given both my husband and myself common sense.

    • 45caliber

Richard: They are also telling us that the flooding is going to increase the price of gasoline. I suppose they need some crisis to raise prices.

As to rain – send it our way. Last weekend we got about 1/2″ here – the first rain in about 100 days. We are so dry I have cracks in my yard over 2″ wide.

      • http://! Angel Wannabe

45__ Yeah I saw that you folks aren’t having any rain down there, no happy medium.

      • http://! Angel Wannabe

Hope your draught breaks soon. We went thru that back in 1988. We had about 1/4″ in mid-May and not a drop – not even dew – until the latter part of September.

Then in 1993 we had more rain than the Amazon and everthing was under water.

This is off-topic, but I heard Limbaugh say today that thee are people trying to get yer Guvner to run for pres next year!

He’s thinking about it. But as far as I’m concerned, I’ll vote for someone else. The only way I’d vote for him for President is if it comes down to him and Oblama. Neither one of them is smart enough for the job.

          • Carole Howell

Yeah 45 but they are both crooked enough for the job.

        • 45caliber

          Old Henry:

The last time I had a drought like this one, we had a 22″ rain in 24 hours that broke it. And the cracks in my yard were big enough then that none of that 22″ ran off. It all ended up in the cracks – some of which I measured as 12′ deep and 4 inches across. The time before that, Corpus Christi had built a new lake. They estimated that it would take ten years to fill. When the drought broke, they filled the lake in one night.

          • http://Illinois'17th Old Henry

            45:

“filled the lake inone night”. That one made me laugh. The best laid plans of mice and men….

When our draught broke in ’88 I went outside and stood in the rain. (Haven’t had enogh sense to come in out of the rain since….)

I remember hearing someone on the radio out of Chcago in the summer of ’88 trying to blame Reagan for the draught.

My dad and I wouuld sit on Saturday mornings that year and talk about his experiences in 34, 34 and 36 on the farm as a kid in north-central IL. He remembered seeing the dust clouds coming from the west. He said they tied chains to the Model T frame and let it drag on the ground to ground the car due to all the dust.

    • DaveH

Have you ever heard the Government accept responsibility for higher prices? It’s always somebody else’s fault.

Main stream news media believes it is the “truth and light” and if they did not report it first—then it is false. Only the news media is capable of determining the truth—-just listen to CNN, MSNBC etc—Now that is the truth as they write it.

    • Kate8

giveaway – It was Rupert Murdoch who said, “The news is what I say it is”.

There are no true sources of news, I’m afraid. And it’s not only what we hear, but what they won’t report. We’re left to operate on partial truths and lack of information.

How wonderful were the days when there was no constant stream of media, when we could live our lives simply, dealing with what was directly before us…

When they couldn’t reach us, they couldn’t control us…at least not our minds. Now, something (real or concocted) that happens on the other side of the globe has immediate impact on our personal lives, or so we are told.

      • http://! Angel Wannabe

kate8, thats why I watch the news twice a day, read blogs, and then watch movies!

        • Kate8

45 – And notice how much more graphic and terrifying the pictures have become over the years. Our young people have become desensitized to pretty much everything one can imagine.

A few decades ago they couldn’t show graphic violence on TV, nor could they show dead bodies. Not to even mention pornography.

          How far we’ve sunk.

          • 45caliber

I heard a speaker a couple of years ago talking about the changes. He was retired Army. He said that back in the 60s, when I went in, the first thing they had to teach the soldiers was to have the mental ability to kill. It wasn’t easy. Now they enter the service already set in mind to kill so they have to teach them not to kill except under orders.

        • Isaac Davis

The news in ATL is nothing more than the daily GSW report and one station saying how they will deliver the “good” news that isn’t all gloom and doom. So, they ignore the real news of what the jackass and his minions are doing to our nation of laws, and show the pink bunny/chocolate fountain items that might make you feel good from the human interest perspective, but they obliterate the usurper 24/7 working to destroy the currency and American allies, sending American Warriors off to deserts to possibly never return to this soil in contrived “wars”, inviting the most radical and anti-American vermin into the People’s House, adoring celebrities and ignoring common sense, controlling free enterprise, harassing American Citizens while ignoring the muslim threat to our Republic…if this were only just a nightmare we’d wake up from. We have an almost insurmountable task to educate America’s youth to the precious experiment that is America, and get them engaged with the principles of Liberty and Freedom. Tick tock…

It has to do with terrorism all-right, just not the kind we are being told.

Folks, It’s an age-old story, one humnanity seems destined to repeat over and over into enternity…

We’ve sold our souls to the devil. We’ve done it through debt. Satan offered us money to buy things…the easy-payment plan…the lure of that big house, that car, whatever the heart desires. After all, don’t we deserve it? The more stuff one has, the more successful one appears, the more important…

The problem is, it works the same way every time. That old devil always comes around to collect when we least expect him, yanking the rug out from under. He loves watching people squirm, and he shows no mercy. The money flow gets cut off, those payments can’t be met…but now he owns us.

It seems that an early translation of the “mark of the beast” is “chi xi stigma”. The root word for “stigma” (which escapes me now) means “to prick” or “to puncture”.

Cash is now beginning to be outlawed in parts of the world. Where is it…Greece?…it’s now illegal to use cash for any transaction over 1500euros. In the Phillipines, at resort hotels, you can now, upon registration, get a chip implanted in your hand so you can wear your bathing suit and not worry about carrying that pesky wallet…what freedom!

In America, our founders provided laws that protected us from any such intrusion on our personal sovereignty. We COULD NOT BE NUMBERED. On the original SS card, it was printed “NOT TO BE USED FOR IDENTIFICATION”. Well, of course, it did come to be used for that, and the words were removed. They’ve just been heating the water slowly, and it didn’t seem too big of a deal…

Angel Wannabe, that is just whatthe Agriculture Dept has been working for since in was created by FDR and the Sec of Ag, a registered communist. What has happened to the chicken industry, total vertical intergrated and manulipated by one composite company. Same as the hog production in the 80′s ,and almost done with beef production. Grain production is controlled by the same bastards in the Dept of Ag, which was started under FDR to controll prices. Now the black niggardly puke and the marxist/communist dumbocraps all berleive in the communist central controll farming from the beltway, just it was under USSR which caused starvation and food shortages. I remeember selling wheat off of rented ground at $6 a bushel since I was only 19 and now I could get a bank to loan me the money because of our new banking reform that loans have to be approved by beltway pukes. I used my livestock as collateral and therre was not any government progrtams to pay landowners to golf, sit on their azzes and collect government checks for doing nothing for 3 decades. What sorry bastards of which party promotes this waste and meddling. The marxist/communist democrat party morons for decades. Since the dumbocraps and rino will not cut out these worthless programs and force these millionares to do something besides cash their government checks, wait for the next 6 months and the next several years to see food shorttages and high costs. We have worthless wilderness area and too many parks people will never visit, especially since the cost of fuel and no jobs. Food production has come under centerlized government power thanks to envior nut bags, envior agencies from the beltway, morons who have never produced anything ecept a head ache for private busineses and private enterprise. The same bastards who vote for democrats and the likes of the niggardly Onumnutts, don’t produce anything of saleable goods, food, or can think out side of the box. Because they veiw the government with the same warm wet feelings and self gratifactions. These smucks don’t take care to think about the possible side effects or consequenses that can happen. Government will take care of costs and let some else pick up the tab. Onumnutts has been reading his communist manifesto and reading any other book on socialism he can find, to destroy America. Weather is is turning over USA’s sovereing rights to dictators or doing what the UN wants, notice media and all the libatard pukes are pretty quiet, about the costs of going into Libya, for now what weeks as cost are over a billion and more is going to Taliban muslim brotherhood. Of course this is same bunch of radicasl terrorist who approve of giving guns to the bean belly drug cartels to kill people. All to take guns away USA citiizens, and have no way to protect temselves from predators and it is way easier to have total control or to let the muslim perverts take over America. Hope people grow a backbone and quit getting freaked out over the socialist crap.

Angel – The issue is that the feds don’t want us to have access to viable, living food. All of our food now is to be modified, dead, devoid of nutrition and of anything needed to sustain health.

I kid you not. This is nothing less than part of the mass genocide being perpetrated on our population through control of food, medicine, water, air, and stress level.

BTW, on the radio last night they talked about chemtrails, and people are rising up all over the country, especially in areas being heavily sprayed. Now, if we could only figure out something we can do about it, since no one is willing to touch the issue.

If the people cry out for justice, but no one will hear…is there really a problem?

To K8′s comments: “But what do we mean by the American Revolution? Do we mean the American War? Te Revolution was effected before the war commenced. The Revolution was in the minds and hearts of the people; a change in their religious sentiments, of their duties and obligations…This radical change in the principles, opinions, sentiments, and affections of the people was the real American Revolution.” –John Adams, letter to H. Niles, Feb. 13, 1818

The Americans prior to April 19, 1775 were subjected to no less than 20 years of continual repression from King George, pin-pricks, that finally resulted in non-compliance when Revere, Prescott and Dawes went sounding the alarm to alert 13,000 farmers. We owe those Patriots more than we can ever hope to repay, and we dearly owe them an apology for their sacrifice in blood and treasure so that we might have a nation like no other in the history of human existence.

I heard about that problem the Amish had. What I heard was that it is legal to sell raw milk in PA but not out of the state. Someone showed up at the farm, bought the milk, and then took it across the state line. He worked for the government. So, since he lived across the state line and bought the milk, they shut the farmer down on the grounds that he had sold across the state line rather than arrest the agent for carrying it across the state line.

And the biggest laugh I get about questioning these terrorists is the libs who insist that all we need to do is treat them fairly and be nice to them to get them to tell us everything they know. Right!! I don’t know what fairy tale world they live in but it certainly isn’t this one.

    • http://! Angel Wannabe

45, yeah right, treat them nice_ I still remember some of the stuff my Dad told me about the torture Japs used to do to our POW soldiers in WWII.

      • Jeep

You’re right Angel. But, that torture was for the sake of…well, torture from the Japanese. The prison guards kept themselves amused through vicious beatings and murder. There is a grand difference from that kind of torture and the actions taken by our interrogators at Gitmo and elsewhere. Somehow that point is always lost on the liberal idiot.

        • http://! Angel Wannabe

Jeep, my dads dead, so I can’t ask him, but if I remember right, he said, if there was a officer amoung the POws they got it worse, for information gathering. It was the same for both sides.

          • Jeep

Angel, you are quite right. There is such a thing as tactical questioning, and is always a part of initial interrogation. But, the Japanese excelled at torture over the long haul. There is always a point when “questioning” becomes outdated as information gets stale. Usually this is a short period of time, depending on many factors. My point is that we recognize this, and understand that there are limits to “torture” and the viable information gained. Our techniques, though they may seem barbaric to some, are controlled and effective. Heck, they’re even legislated. Often, what the Japanese did to our POWs was way beyond information gathering and many times resulted in death for Allied Soldiers taken prisoner.

          • http://! Angel Wannabe

jeep, Dad was on Okinawa 22 months. He had Japanese POW’s under his care, for the lack of a better word. Dad said as long as he gave them Cigarette breaks, they’d do anything for him. He said very few ever got outta line or tried to take off.

          • http://! Angel Wannabe

jeep Sorry I hit the submit bitton before I wanted too, as far as the enhanced interogation goes, being nice isn’t going to cut it with a band of terrorists, who have no problem with a suicide mission to blow themselves and 3000 innocent people up. Quite frankly I’ve said all along, that if all Kaleed Sheihk Mohammad <(pardon spelling) got, was water in the face, I think if I was him, I'd be damned glad I didn't drown. __an another note, what our Military does is none of our buisness. Our Military men and women are there to do a job. The problem comes in when do-gooders break news about the military to civilians, and then they get they're nose outta joint. I don't get where some of these bleeding hearts come from, do they really believe, that we can fight a friendly war with tea krumpets, and by simply asking questions "nicely" to an enemy?_-Good Grief!, My Dad if he was living would laugh in they're faces.

          • Jeep

Angel, my sincere thanks to the service your father gave this country and for leading the way for today’s Army. May God grant him peace and rest.

        • Jeep

Angel, arm chair quarterbacks are in over-abundance in these United States today. The advent of the internet and a prolific media are double edged swords that keep us informed and ill informed as well. If many of these “do gooders” had to walk the mean streets of Kandahar, maybe they might have a change of heart. The real test would be see if Mr. Lib would honestly allow one of our terrorist enemies to buy the house next door. Somehow, I don’t think Mr. Lib would share a ride with Mr. Terrorist to the next meeting at PETA HQ. The reality is that American Libs are very comfortable, safe and has too much time to dream up how the world should be, not as it is.

          • http://! Angel Wannabe

Jeep_ we have alot of friends, just like the ones you spoke of “comfortable”._ Thing is they’re beginning to realize something is wrong here in America, but they can’t figure out what’s wrong. (much like I did a few years ago, after my folks were gone, and I had the time to read and take a look at what was going on). A few are beginning to listen when we talk, but way more is needed.
Glenn Beck had a name for the comfort, “normalcy bias”. Folks see a crisis comin, but act as if they’re seeing things and go about they’re normal daily life anyway. I think that’s where most folks are. I think they’re scared as hell and don’t know why they’re scared, and don’t know what to do__ Its hard to shakem out of it._

I’m a realist. I had no choice, I had to be, Mama was sick from the time I was born, Daddy worked the mill, what I learned was mostly on my own. Great title for a Country song)!__lol, never had the time for fairy tales.
I often said if folks could get a taste of how bad things could really be without having to really live it, it might change things. But alot of folks won’t change unless they’re forced to. and I’m afraid there going to be one hell-of-a-lot of people that gonna be waking up before they want to, before too long. __Ok I’m rambling__gotta get some dinner on__good chat__I’ll pop in later!

          • 45caliber

Incidently, Jeep, a lot of American soldiers were used in Japanese experiments during WWII to determine just how much pain a person could endure and still function – or live. Japanese doctors would literally cut open a living American and pull out his heart without giving him anything to ease the pain. They would cut off limbs and do other things as well. Several thousand American soldiers died that way.

The US wanted to have a “Far East Presence” and simply ignored it when they took over Japan so as to keep the Japanese people quiet. I saw a report by one of the Japanese doctors some years ago about it. He said that some of the doctors involved actually asked the American people in charge to let them finish their study on the prisoners and was upset when the Americans refused. But NONE were charged with any crimes.

In that case, I believe BOTH the Japanese AND Americans were at fault.

          • http://! Angel Wannabe

45 and Jeep__ there was alot Dad talked about being in WWII, in later years, mostly funny stuff, but there was alot he wouldn’t say and I knew he was holding in. My Uncles (his 3 brothers) talked more about it. The one came home with a Purple heart. I’m sure very little of it was pleasant.
Quite Frankly, I believe you look at War differently when your from a Military Family. Its not a Shock and Awe thing. We knew they were in the Military, we knew they were trained to kill, and that was the way it was. Despite all four Brothers being in WWII, each on different fronts, none of them seemed any worse for wear. They came home and went on with they’re lives.

        • 45caliber

          Jeep:

Some of the torture then was done for entertainment for the Japs. Part of it was done to keep the prisoners in line. And part of it was done to gain information. Don’t think that there is a big difference between what they did and what we did – except that we didn’t try to torture for fun and ours was quite tame in comparison. In fact, ALL countries except the US officially mistreated their prisoners then. (We probably did.) And most countries still do. Don’t believe me? Try sneaking into North Korea, China, Mexico, or many other countries and let them catch you.

  • Kate8

45 and Angel – What’s really astonishing is that we have MANY former Muslims (as well as Islamic leaders themselves) telling us that Islam’s PRIME DIRECTIVE is conquest of the world for Allah, by invitation or by force. Also, that no matter whether they claim to be “moderate”, they hold this belief in this mandate, and will use any deception to gain ground. When the numbers are great enough, they drop the pretext and begin the slaughter. This has been demostrated time and again, yet we refuse to see it. It has happened recently in Lebanon, and is well underway in Europe, with the US only a little behind (but gaining rapidly under Obama).

Any monies they take from the Infidel (us) they consider “booty”, and feel no meaningful obligation to us. Their prayers to Allah include asking for a great haul of booty, which is their main avenue of wealth.

We assist them in our demise with PC. They know our laws well, and use them against us, laughing all the way.

Not so surprising. They have lived under that system for about 1200 years. In addition, they have been terrorized by their own people for that long so they truly do fear terrorism. As a result they won’t say anything against that religion because they KNOW that someone won’t like it and may take it on themselves to punish them for it. Most are moderate and wouldn’t be joining in such at attack but that doesn’t mean they will resist it either.

One act in Bosnia caught my attention. A Muslim family and a Christian family had lived next door to each other for close to 200 years. The fathers jointly arranged a marriage between the Christian’s son and the Muslim’s daughter. When the fighting broke out, the Muslim went next door and killed everyone – including his daughter and her children – his grandchildren. When asked about it, he stated that she had betrayed the family by marrying the guy and that his grandchildren were the man’s children and deserved to die.

But that is exactly what their religion teaches. They can be peaceful when forced but the moment the force is missing …

      • Kate8

That’s the thing, 45. Muslims believe that Allah demands that they rid the world of the Infidel, and if they do not, they are accountable to him. Therefore, they are to be peaceful as long as they don’t have the strength or numbers to dominate, but when they do, all h*ll is to break loose.

The Koran demands that they show no mercy, and their favorite way of killing is beheading. In the middle east, they have mountains made of skulls, of the millions of Infidels killed in the name of Allah. Many of them are other Muslims who don’t think as they do.

What I find interesting is that, according to reports I’ve read, FEMA detention centers are equipped with modern, high-tech guillotines. Could it be that our pro-Muslim usurper is setting us up for an Islamic takeover?

        • Raggs

I believe the fema camps are designed to kill Christians. I see it as the Rapture the bible tells us about… Maybe I’m wrong?

          • Kate8

Raggs – You think the Rapture is the killing of Christians?

            Geez. I hope not.

I don’t know if the Rapture is a real thing. There are many possible scenarios for it, but I guess we’ll have to wait and see. My understanding is that it is a joyous thing.

Who started the PCed and airy fairy love in for the muslim perverts, it was and has always been the feel good pusified dumbocraps. These same bastards can torture the American citizerns with the government meddling and corrupt ad nausum, but muslim perverts are goingto be treated as humans, when their goal is to convert or get your throat cut, no matter what age you are. When these same morons whine that women and “childrern are killed in war, most never have ever been in Nam or fought a real fight in their sorry azzed life. They are the terrorists here in the USA.

Raggs, America used to be We The People, Oh its still we the people, but it we the people, with permission from the Elitest Masta’s, they make me sick to the core!__We seriously need another Washington, George that is!

          • Raggs

Yeah no kidding… It may get harder to find people that will stand due to the intimidation and scare tatics from the regressive communist.

Afterall it is much easier for them to believe in lies, it simply takes no effort at all on their part to follow, all they need to do is keep their eyes closed to the truth.

I would ask America to find out all they could about the CFR but most wont.Since this is my first time and all my files were moved from my computor last night because of something i reported convering the events surrounding 9/11 i am not sure these sites will post. http://www.whatreallyhappened.com http://www.globalresources.ca In 1945 a B-35 Bomber crashed into the Empire State Building. Look this up for those of you who still believe the story put out by The Whitehouse. When contacted the builder of The Twin Towers and tower7 stated because of this crash he built the three towers to within stand 200 mph winds and the impact of two airliners. because i saw it hard to believe a old man in a cave across the ocean could be responsible for this i was called a traitor ans names i won’t mention. The deeper i dug the more i found. Much of this was obvious but America waas not for blood. much like the young nurse crying and teeeing the story of The Revolutionary guard taking babies out of incubators and apuuting them of the floor and allowing them to die. So, the nation never asked wheather this was true or not. everybody screaming for the US to bomb The revolutionary Guard into submission. turns out the nurse was trained by the best angency to lie. She was the daughter of a High ranking Kuwaiti Offical. Like in Iraq Saddams troops didn’t stand a chance. It doesn’t matter that Bush had given Saddam the ok to invade Kuwait to get back lost territory. it seem s to be ok if the US iv-nades all of the middle east. I am sure it meets with Israel’s approval. look for war in Syria and then Iran. America is being primed and it does,t take much. In the meantime Congress has passed bills that will have adamaging effect of all of us. FEMA camps to contunie to be built. Mostlt old mitilary bases with wire added. A National ID card in be considered very seriously by the Obama administration. Let us not forget his plan for a civilan force comparable to the military. All the presidents that have lied to us and we follow like sheep. I personally stopped believing the news media years ago. I do my own thinh and research. I don’t need a government think tank do my thinking for me.The greatest president in my time was John.K.Kennedy. He did away with the Federal Reserve. That lasted for three weeks . You know the rest. L.B.J.Restored The Federal Reserve. Kennedy knew what was happing to America and the world because of the banking cartel owning the Federal Reserve. Ben Bernake is one of many tratiors. The only difference between Bush and Obama is race. You will find the same policies are countinuing from Bushs’ tenure.. Now, it is even worse. Aren’t you glad to know from 1930 to today the dollar has decreased in value to .04. Soon tissue paper will be as valuble.

      Bob:

Just a warning. Clinton, through the “Privacy Improvement Act” required ALL manufactures of computers, telephones, and fax machines to install a chip that recorded what was done on them. The gov then connects to your telephone about once a day (remember the single beep for several years when it appeared someone was trying to call your phone and hung up?) and copies everything. It is then scanned for various code words. If a word is detected, they have a person scan it then. Supposedly this is for things like detecting terrorists but they can make it find anything. And they can also take anything off your computer or put other things on it.

Unless you are actively doing something on internet, it is better to keep your phone cord disconnected from your computer at all times.

    Where are the Liberals?
I have nobody to argue with.

    • libertytrain

Probably at a pep rally – or perhaps a “strategery” meeting –

    • Raggs

Waiting further instructions from george soros…

      • http://! Angel Wannabe

Raggs I don’t know where the Libs are, but I’m loving it without them!

        • Raggs

Yup.. finally some factual sence without being disturbed… I would have said common sence but as we know sence just isn’t even close to being common.. To prove my point… common is the name of the rapper miss piggy invited to the white house, and if he is common OH SHIT!

    • Nadzieja Batki

Probably nap time, they may have worn out their brains posting trite.

  • Raggs

Speaking of scare tatics… whatever happened to global warming since it was debunked?.. I seriously doubt that anyone in this administration has enough brains cells to know that God is in charge of the climate… The oil spill in the gulf… Now that was manmade!..probably on purpose too….

    • DaveH

They don’t need them anymore. Obama just ordered the EPA to strike out on their own:

Raggs, There have been millions of dead fish washing up on the CA coast. I just heard that hundreds of sharks have washed up in SF, dead of impact trauma.

The military has been doing some kind of experiments out in the ocean (they quietly announced their intent to conduct such “experiments” in the Pacific), and that there would be millions of marine animals sacrificed.

They may be setting off bombs, but more likely this involves HAARP. They are hitting the coast in an attempt to trigger a huge quake.

    • 45caliber

The oil spill was man-made on purpose. In other words it was sabotage.
