Electrician Finds Grenade In NYC House

NEW YORK, Nov. 2 (UPI) — New York police said an electrician found a grenade while working inside the home of a Vietnam veteran.

Police said the grenade was found in the two-story 89th Avenue home about 4 p.m. Tuesday, a few days after the homeowner was hospitalized for injuries sustained in a fire at the house, the New York Daily News reported Wednesday.

Police did not say whether the grenade was live, but officers said it was not believed to pose a threat to the neighborhood.
