Don't Count Palin Out Yet

August 31, 2012 by

Is Sarah Palin’s star fading? So saith CNN, which noted that the former Vice Presidential candidate was not invited to speak at this year’s Republican National Convention. What the article didn’t mention, however, is how many candidates Palin has endorsed and campaigned for this year have been winning elections. If Ted Cruz becomes the new Senator from Texas or Debbie Fisher wins in Nebraska (or several other candidates that I could name win), they will owe a big thank-you to the former Governor of Alaska. Don’t count the lady out yet.

Haters target Brad Pitt’s mom. When Jane Pitt, the movie star’s mom, read a letter to the editor in her local paper saying that Christians shouldn’t vote for a Mormon, she disagreed. So she wrote a letter to the editor herself, saying that if you care about traditional values, you should vote for the candidate who shares those values, even if he doesn’t share your faith. Then she added, “Any Christian who does not vote or writes in a name is casting a vote for Romney’s opponent, Barack Hussein Obama – a man who sat in Jeremiah Wright’s church for years, did not hold a public ceremony to mark the National Day of Prayer, and is a liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies and same-sex marriage.” For daring to speak out, she was promptly deluged with hateful emails, Twitter messages and even death threats.

Now here’s a really cushy job. In this space last week, I mentioned how meter maids in one California city were earning nearly $100,000 a year for collecting coins. But this is even crazier. The contract between the Detroit Water and Sewage Department and Local 207 of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees requires the city to pay for a horseshoer — even though the department does not have any horses and hasn’t for years. Can you say “featherbedding?”

Another Marxist for Obama. Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez says that “real revolutionaries” should ignore any criticism of his regime by U.S. President Barack Obama. “Obama is campaigning. He’s a candidate,” Chavez said on Venezuelan TV. So you have to overlook when “a good guy” says such things.

Deb Fisher is going to win in Nebraska but it won’t have ANYTHING to do with Sarah Palin! Our current senator is ben nelson, the DOG who cast the deciding vote on the healthcare bill! Nebraska is a conservative state. nelson was a moderate democrat who usually voted conservatively. There was never an outstanding candidate to run against him and for the most part, he represented the state. He betrayed us when he voted for the healthcare bill and got the “cornhusker kickback” (which he later gave back). A large majority of Nebraskans were against the healthcare plan but he voted for it anyway due to pressure put on him by obumass and reid. When he came back to Omaha he couldn’t even go to a restaurant without people booing him and yelling at him! His career in politics was over! The democratic party needed to find a candidate but knew their chances were slim because Nebraskans weren’t likely to let a democrat in again! So they “lured” bob kerry out of retirement. He was once governor and a senator from Nebraska. Same bob kerry that was on the 911 commission. He was no longer a resident of Nebraska, had been living in New York for about 10 years. He came to Nebraska on the very last day that he could file as a candidate. He “claimed” to be a resident of Nebraska by putting his sister’s address as his place of residence. The next day, he changed his address to a house that a friend “loaned” him. The republican party challenged his residency qualification but a judge ruled in his favor. The icing on the cake was when he announced that his wife and son wouldn’t be moving to Nebraska, they would continue to live in New York. I really cant imagine that many Nebraskans will fall for this crap! He no longer represents us in any way! Deb Fisher will win for these reasons alone! I’ve not heard Palin’s name mentioned at all! I really don’t think that Palin would have much influence here. Deb Fisher will win because she’s NOT a democrat!!!

The brain dead media has always discounted Sarah Palin’s power. They say she’s a fading star. But remember something, they have been claiming for a long time now that the TEA Party is dead. Well, they’re a very lively corpse. Counting Sarah out could be one big mistake.

    • Doc Sarvis

      S. Palin was NEVER “in” with the majority of Americans. She was a “star” to very few.

      • Robert Smith

She was a super nova wasting a lot of energy that is now a black hole.

        Rob

      • Doc Sarvis

        Or a gas cloud.

      • Vigilant

Sarvis’ and Smith’s bile confirm the effectiveness of Sarah Palin. For Conservatives, that’s a ringing endorsement. .

Wake up, Smith. A black hole has a LOT more energy than a supernova.

      • Doc Sarvis

        Vigilant ,
Following your logic then, the bile on this site displayed for President Obama must confirm his effectiveness as a leader of the United States of America.

      • Vigilant

Sorry to disabuse you Sarvis, but lefties like yourself are incapable of applying logic. After all, you voted for Obama, didn’t you? Q.E.D..

      • Doc Sarvis

        Vigilant
Grasping at straws again I see.

      • Vigilant

Kinda’ like you grasping for some kind of witty humorous quip. Don’t quit your day job.

    • Ta1k0n

      I trust Sarah Palin.

      • Becky

Your very wise…We women have come a long way (even though some of the men can’t handle eating our dust)…& Sara would say; “Tee-hee”

  • Norm

Palin was/is living proof that idiots can still get rich in the USA.

    • Jon

Maybe, but Obama and Reid are living proof that hard working Americans can’t.

  • Tom Cook

Chip, here you and I completely agree. Sarah Palin would have been my first choice for President. I still trust her more than most of the other conservatives.

  • http://www.facebook.com/ed.adams.528 Ed Adams

It might have something to do with her wanting to start a New party /////////

  • Jack Lumper

  • chuckb

sarah palin, is a thorn in the bolsheviks side, they have spent the last four years bad mouthing her, they fear her worse than death. they fear honesty, and ability. two words not in their vocabulary. unfortunately many women are jealous of her because of her looks and intelligence, a combination many women lack..

    • Kinetic1

      chuckb,
How many times have I heard Palin’s faithful claim that we are frightened of her? Of course you’re right, but not for the reasons you noted. We fear the damage she would do if given the chance. We can’t imagine trusting our nation’s foreign relations to a woman who believes Alaska’s geographic relationship to the Russia constitutes foreign relations experience. A leader who uses “words” like “‘Refudiate,’ ‘misunderestimate,’and ‘wee-wee’d up,” then justifies her failure to speak English by claiming “English is a living language. Shakespeare liked to coin new words too. Got to celebrate it!’ A woman who proves her knowledge of the world by claiming “… we’ve got to stand with our North Korean allies.” We fear for our health when she rails against universal health care, then says “We used to hustle over the border for health care we received in Canada. And I think now, isn’t that ironic?”

How could we trust our nation to Palin when, after being embarrassed by her inability to name any newspapers or magazines that she reads retorted (almost incoherently) “Because of that one episode, that one episode, that would turn an issue into what it has become over the last two years. I think that’s ridiculous. That’s one of those things, where that issue…that I don’t read, or that I’m not informed, it’s one of those questions where I like to turn that around and ask the reporters, ‘Why would it be that there is that perception that I don’t read?’”

I could go on and on, but what’s the point. You obviously can’t see past the jingoistic rhetoric and phony home spun language. If you heard these quotes and didn’t know it was her, the things she says would scare you too.

      • Becky

        Your being petty & obvious…(Tee-hee).

  • Biff

Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann are complete jokes. Governor Christie or Jeb Bush would be my preference for 2016.

  • jopa

Being a governor for a couple of years in Alaska is like being a mayor in a small city due to the small population.Too many have given her too much credit for something she has never done.Size wise Alaska is the largest state but it is mostly wilderness. She is one lucky lady to be living in one of the wonders of the world though.

    • Becky

Too many people give Palin too much credit?…Do you really believe what your saying? Palin has been dumbed down by the dung-head media…when in fact she deserves more credit than she will ever get, thanks to the media and to un-educated people like you…get yourself educated as you are contributing to the fall of our great nation…better/yet…JUST VOTE FOR THE AMERICAN!
