DNC Makes Plans For Islamic Prayer

DNC Makes Plans For Islamic Prayer
PHOTOS.COM
Some 20,000 Muslims are expected to attend the Democratic National Convention.

The Democratic National Convention will be supporting an Islamic Jumah prayer, a prayer said by Muslims on Fridays. The event is “intended to address the concerns and issues that are challenging to the American Muslim citizens in the 21st century.”

The plan to proceed with the event comes as a shock to some, given that the Democratic Party did not respond to a Catholic bishop’s request to pray at the DNC.

As many as 20,000 Muslims are expected to attend as a way to show their concerns in regard to Muslim rights in the United States. Topics of interest include the Patriot Act and the National Defense Authorization Act.

“Thousands of Muslims are going to perform the Friday ritual prayer,” said Jibril Hough, a local Muslim activist. “We hope our people will leave feeling rewarded about who they are and what their issues are and have a candidate checklist.”

But not all Muslims are supporting the event. Zuhdi Jasser, the president of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy, has voiced concern:

It is troubling that the Democratic National Convention has decided to promote and lend its name and national political platform to the organizers of the “Jummah at the DNC”. The leaders of this event – Jibril Hough and Imam Siraj Wahhaj as advertised are no moderates. They are radicals. These individuals embrace Islamist supremacy and have demonstrated support for radical ideologies.

A quick Google search by the DNC would have shown them that Hough and Wahhaj are leaders in the separatist American Islamist movement. While they may be able to get a few thousand Muslims to attend the event, they are NOT going to be mainstream Muslims.  Most will likely come from Hough and Wahhaj’s radical networks that have long been entrenched in the Charlotte area. Make no mistake they are part of the Islamist movement.

If that is who the DNC is consorting with then all Americans, Democrats should be concerned. There are many patriotic Muslims who are part of both parties, and when radical ideologues like this do a demonstration of “solidarity” in the name of our faith and choose an imam like Siraj Wahhaj who I saw with my own eyes in 1995 seditiously say it his duty and our duty as Muslims to replace the US Constitution with the Quran- then we need to speak up!

Update 8-31: According to a press release issued Tuesday, Timothy Cardinal Dolan will be leading a closing prayer at the DNC.

Considering that Obama is a Muslim (“I,’m guided by my Muslim faith,,” he told ABC news a couple of years ago) this isn’t surprising. In fact, the surprise would be that this wouldn’t happen.

Can you document your statement or is this something you made up?

      • Robert Smith

Made up. It’s been making the rounds taken out of context.

Documenting anything to someone who is spoon fed their reality, does no good and has no merit. But should you choose to see it,watch [Stephanopoluos] correct the “exalted leader.”

September, 2008 during an interview with George Stephanopoulos on ABC’s news program “This Week”, Obama credited John McCain with having not mentiioned ” My Muslim faith” He was relaxed , after all George is a far left interviewer and the network is a Progressive supporting media source! It was clearly a Freudian Slip! ” From the abundance of the Heart, the Mouth speaks”

      • Ted Crawford

Once again thanks Comrade, but FALSE! i ‘ve watch the entire interview, nothing is “made up ” and it;s not out of context!

      • Robert Smith

Shucks Ted, we hve to take your word? Why not tell us where the interview is so we can see it for ourselves?

I tried to access it but, Surprize, Surprize, it’s been removed by ABC for” Copyrights” reasons! That was a very long time ago, I’m surprized that so many are unaware of it! Might explain why we are in this trouble!

So CC, you are saying you believe only the documents you WANT to believe in, because they say what you WANT them to say? Apparently it does no good to show you signed and sealed documents that you don’t agree with, as you will call Sheriff Joe to find something about them HE claims is bogus so you can ignore the plain and simple facts when they are set in front of you. Having listened to your voice put down anything that wasn’t Tea Party pure, I doubt you would know a rattlesnake had bit you if some leftist handed you a sworn statement that he had seen the snake and watched it bite you, then killed it so he could give it to the docs when you went to the ER. Instead, you would call him a liar, because it HAD to be a copperhead, as it never rattled at you, no matter what HE saw, or what HE carried in to the ER.

What in tarnation are you talking about?

Many of us saw his statement with our own eyes (and ears). While answering a question from Steffenopolous (I give up! Spell it yourself!) his reply stated “My Muslim faith tells me” at which time (see above) said, “You mean your Christian faith,” Then President Obama said, “Oh, yes. My Christian faith,,,” Seen and heard with my own eyes and ears, this can’t be disputed, except by someone who refuses to accept the truth.

Then consider his rejection of any Christian themed programs, (he leaves town on Sunday) but holding several Muslim themed events, such as the recent dinner celebrating the end of Ramadan, and the fact that they don’t give presents to their daughters on their birthday or Christmas, but do so on the Muslim gift exchange day of Eides,

The remark was said in a televised interview with the Clinton b-tt boy Stephie and Stephie even interrupted Obama to help him to correct his flub of telling the truth for a change.
That is the trouble with lying most of the time. Periodically when speaking with someone non threatening you will unconsciously speak the truth without ever realizing it. This was one of those times.
Or when Obama was speaking about the states, again to a non threatening person, and he was expounding on where he was campaigning, and he said I have been to all ’57 states’, of course all Americans know we only have 50 states. But Obama accidently was speaking of the 57 States where Islam is the ruler. This was passed over by the press because most Americans do not know that there are 57 States in the Islam world. Sometimes we give away clues to our heart without realizing our honesty.

      • average joe

obama said in HIS BOOK that he wrote . If the pollitical winds shift I WILL SIDE WITH THE MUSLIMS Is that clear enought for you?

        • JJS

          Average Joe,

You are so full of ‘rigid feces’ (as Peter says) that the whites of your eyes are not turning brown, but are dark, dark brown. To take a few words, not even accurate words, out of context and claim that proves anything is the epitome of deception and shows ignorance beyond description.

Here is the entire paragraph from which your snippet is taken: “Of course, not all my conversations in immigrant communities follow this easy pattern. In the wake of 9/11, my meetings with Arab and Pakistani Americans, for example, have a more urgent quality, for the stories of detentions and FBI questioning and hard stares from neighbors have shaken their sense of security and belonging. They have been reminded that the history of immigration in this country has a dark underbelly; they need specific assurances that their citizenship really means something, that America has learned the right lessons from the Japanese internments during World War II, and that I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.”

Obama did not say he would side with “the Muslims.” He said he would side with “them,” referring back to his mention of immigrant communities. Furthermore, he was speaking of an “ugly direction” like the mass internment of Japanese Americans.

Joe, you should have been a speaker at the RNC because of the way that you twist the truth like every speaker in Tampa did. The only star at the convention that didn’t lie like a rug was the empty chair that Dirty Harry directed his diatribe at.

You, Joe, are a right wingnut fool.

also, skepticals can check online: posted by the Washington Times 9/7/08–where then Senator Obama tells Stephanopoulos that he wil be “true to his Muslim faith”. Obama had told the entire world this on American television interview with Stephanopoulos.

    • Vigilant

“Staff writer Bryan Nash has devoted much of his life to searching for the truth behind the lies that the masses never question”…and now he proceeds to offer us “lies that the masses never question.”

He ONCE AGAIN shoots from the hip without either researching his sources correctly, or worse, gives us a slanted account that he knows in incorrect in its implications.

      Consider the following:

      (1) The headline: “DNC Turns Down Catholic Blessing, Plans For Islamic Prayer Instead.” THE TRUTH: The DNCC has invited Cardinal Dolan to give the closing prayer at the Democratic National Convention.

      (2) “The Democratic National Convention will be supporting an Islamic Jumah prayer, a prayer said by Muslims on Fridays.” THE TRUTH: The event is neither sponsored by the DNCC nor is it part of the convention schedule.

      (3) “The plan to proceed with the [Jumah] comes as a shock to some, given that the Democratic Party did not respond to a Catholic bishop’s request to pray at the DNC.” THE TRUTH: See (1) above.

      (4) Zuhdi Jasser’s statement: “It is troubling that the Democratic National Convention has decided to promote and lend its name and national political platform to the organizers of the “Jummah at the DNC”. THE TRUTH: Jasser’s statement is entirely false. The Jumah will take place at Marshall Park on Friday, August 31, four days prior to the opening of the DNC.

Journalistic integrity, thy name is NOT Bryan Nash.

i don’t know what network tom brokaw was affiliated with at the time but in 2008 he was interviewing b obama who said he relies on his muslim faith. tom brokaw cut in and said, wait that must have been a slip, you mean christian, right? chuckle chuckle. and o says, oh my yes, christian, heh heh. but i did not see this interview, i read about it in some news source and i don’t listen to rush. and it wasn’t here, i didn’t even know about the townhall until a few months ago. but anyway it was an effort by tom brokaw to steer obama back into the comfy mainstream. the islam prayer for the dnc convention would be at obama’s behest, he has had islamic groups in the whitehouse already for discussions and prayer and i have a photo (taken in the internet) of him with various clerics, all taking off their shoes by their rugs. also he has repudiated christianity despite his membership at rev wrong’s church. if the dnc goes through with this it might rankle enough voters where it could backfire, but obviously he is trying to snare the muslim vote. but if the nation is watching the convention and some guy gets up there and starts going, eeeeyaaaah, eeeeeyooooh, eeeyahwawahh, he yawwwwwwwww, e i e i o, it might not sit well. the beheading funlovers in afghanistan will like it.

Good for you– repeating something that you did not see nor hear. Just the kind of factual reporting we need. And, oh yes, the Muslim community is a real powerful voting bloc in this country. I am sure that they will be rushing to the polls in much greater numbers than Chrisitans. No question– genius political move by Obama– right out of the Karl Rove playbook. Are you kidding me? In any way, your bigotry is showing.

      • eddie47d

The DNC or the RNC have little control who shows up outside their respected conventions UVUVUV and those groups are not officially authorized. To refresh your memory there is still Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Assembly to address grievances or will you be denouncing that too?

      • Florence

This is the most disgusting, vile implication of OB ever and if it is true, then America had better wake up

      • eddie47d

Since it is not true…. therefore your answer.

    • Karolyn

Obama OBVIOUSLY said that because he was talking within the context of McCain not bringing up the religion issue that some believed he was Muslim. What he was saying was that McCain had not questioned his Christian Faith. To anyone with discernment, it’s easily figured out.

      • kkflash

It’s a Freudian slip by Obama, and obviously so, even to an untrained eye. Just as his statement about visiting 57 states was another Freudian slip betrayal of his true beliefs. Obama is a fantastic liar, but even the best make some mistakes.

        • JJS

You are an idiot for taking every spoken word to mean what you think it does no matter the intent of the speaker.

Don’t you understand that everybody, I mean EVERYBODY, occasionally says things that can be misinterpreted?

      • genny clayton

it was an interview with George Stephanopolus. i actually saw it and for a while it was on you tube.

    • Kinetic1

      HO,
It’s been a long time and those who are opposed to President Obama have paraphrased to the point of changing the meaning of his statement. Obama was discussing the right’s attempts to paint him as a Muslim and Stephanopoulos was pointing to the fact that McCain had never done so. In that context Obama said “You’re absolutely right that John McCain has not talked about my Muslim faith…” Yes, Stephanopoulos did then “correct” him by saying “your Christian faith” but that made no sense. The point of the conversation was that the Conservative talking heads were claiming that Obama was a Muslim, but McCain had opposed such claims. So yes, what Obama said was true, but it was not a statement confirming his religion as Muslim.

I know that most of you on this site will call this spin, but I can’t be held accountable for the right wing bias that you filter everything through. To anyone listening without bias or preconceived notions, this quote has nothing to do with Obama admitting that he is a Muslim.

      • kkflash

Your interpretation is incorrect, and most probably influenced by the left-wing bias you accuse the right of having. Watch the video again. After Stephanopolous corrects Obama (“your Christian faith”), Obama promptly accepts the correction saying “my Christian faith.” It’s an obvious attempt by Obama to cover up his Freudian slip.

    • R. Fine

The Muslim prayer will be held by an outside group 4 days prior to the convention and has nothing to do with the convention. And, by the way, the closing prayer at the convention will be given by a Catholic priest. Other than these facts the crazy assertion is just that.

    • Kris

I knew as soin as I saw this article that it was going to turn into an argument over Obama’s religion. My question is simply why does it matter? What does religion have to do with being a good leader, or a bad one? He’s supposed to be leading a country filled with very diverse people, not a church where everyone at least claims they believe the same things. Rligion should not be a factor when we elect a leader. Simple.

Kris,,, if King Jesus Christ ain’t your leader,,,then you are a heathen…

Actually the “Gray Man” is whatever he has to be….during campaign mode. And since he has been in campaign mode since he hit the national scene,he is what he needs to be at any given time.If there is a “gray area” in what he claims to be,then nobody can make claims to any effect which cannot be refuted.
And so the grayman pushes ever froward, going to and fro down his crooked path.
He can appeal to everyone, because he is what he needs to be at any given time.
He is always being taken out of context, everyone is against him, even though you cannot tell what his racial background is,you are a racist of you dont agree with his agenda.
He is a Christian who speaks of his Muslim faith.
Yet he claims to support homosexual marriage which is in esscense, clearly seen as sinful by both religious standards.
He adopts whatever view his handlers tell him to adopt.
In that way,he can be anything to anyone,at any given time.
If you try to prove otherwise,a representative of the democratic party will claim differently and “prove” it,by showing where he has said either this or that.
His signs read FORWARD,but the movement shows FROWARD….which is a completely differing term with a separate meaning.
Since he clearly draws no moralistic viewpoint, and will change with the political winds, how can anyone trust anything that he says?
    The short answer is….you cannot.
    Who am I speaking of?
    BHO.
But it could just as easily be any other politician.
And if that doesnt alarm you out there in the vaccum of space…….”Houston we have a problem”…..
    Cheers!

Well, Ted, seems he has a POINT there, and one you should study very closely. As much as you, and most of the other extreme right wingers hate Obama, if there was a SHRED of PROOF concerning any of the claims that he has violated this, that, or the other law, there would have been a bill of impeachment brought before the house long before now. Seems it only took about six months to impeach Clinton after he talked to the court, and the Republicans have had nearly eighteen months to put something together against Obama. That tells me, more than anything I see or hear on here, that all these claims are just that, claims, with not one single shred of truth to them.

There is impeachment in process. Think abuse of war powers is the crime, but guess it took them awhile to decide which crime to tackle. Yep, repubs are most definitely paid off or just plain stupid, because Obama should have been nailed for many crimes against “we the people”. Geez, look what Nixon got for Watergate compared to what Obama and Holder didn’t get for Fast and Furious, Solyndra, security leaks, failure after failure and outright treason. What is truly amazing is that people can’t see that most, if not all, of our politicians have been corrupted not only by the rich elites but also by the agenda of the UN. It’s not that R’s don’t have the nads…THEY ARE ALL IN ON IT !!!!!! What part of ALL don’t you people understand? Agenda 21, Patriot act, Refuse centers, detention camps, executive orders that strip away American’s rights, FEMA and HSC in the event of martial law, ALL of this and more documented and upheld by all Presidents and congress since Reagan some even before that. It’s really no longer a question of which candidate or party is going to bring America back? It’s more a question of when are the American people going advocate their right to remove the political system to BRING AMERICA BACK!!! ( little hint in case you missed it this is not going to change by casting a vote and hopefully enough will wake up to the truth before all we are left to cast is stones TO KEEP OUR FREEDOM !!! )

If Obama gets reelected we maybe looking at Sharia law. Does that mean that we start
killing each other as who is an infidel and it will be ok? It may be time for all Christians
to start carrying a baggy of pig blood and annointing muslims in public. They want to
build a mosque annoint the grounds with pig blood, Then have a nice BBQ.

    • Doc Sarvis

Following the same logic then, if Romney is elected everyone will have to convert to Mormonism. After JFK was elected I don’t believe everyone became Catholic. Same for every other President. Besides, President Obama is a Christian.

      • jim

Would you say he was Christian by his saying so or by his works?

      • Doc Sarvis

        His words AND his actions.

      • jim

Just can’t ever believe that homosexuality or abortion are Christian beliefs. Must be the new age version.

      • ArkansasRebel

Doc Sarvis, there is no logic in your statement. It is inane & perhaps just plain ignorant of what Islam is. Mormonism does not build its church and following by beheading those who will not convert. Islam does! There is not comparison.

      • Doc Sarvis

        ArkansasRebel,
So we as a “Christian Nation” go over into Iraq for no good reason and murder tens (hundreds?) of thousands of Islamists along with thousands of our own sons and daughters? That makes sense to you?

      • Vigilant

Sarvis says, “So we as a “Christian Nation” go over into Iraq for no good reason and murder tens (hundreds?) of thousands of Islamists along with thousands of our own sons and daughters? That makes sense to you?”

Compare with MILLIONS of innocent unborn foetuses MURDERED on demand in this country.

The only good Islamist is a dead Islamist.

      • Doc Sarvis

        Vigilant
Your lack of support for the First Amendment is un-American.

      • Ted Crawford

Your tactic” Your lack of support for the First Amendment is un-American” Was exposed long ago by Walter Lippmann; ” Unless Democracy is to commit sucide by consenting to it’s own destruction, it will have to find some formidable answer to those who come to it saying ” I demand from you, in the name of your principles, the rights, which I shall deny you later in the name of my principles” That Dog Don’t Hunt !

      • Doc Sarvis

Only if you buy in to what Walter Lippmann says. I do not. The First Amendment is First for a reason and it is a cornerstone of our country’s founding.

      • Doc Sarvis

        My dog hunts fine.

      • Bill

Obummer is no Christian, he has time and again attacked the church or Christ him self, Obummer may not be a Muslim either but he bows to them and worships with them! I truly believe that Obummer is of satan but then I think the Muslims are a product of satan as well, To be true Obummer is the most illegal, Unlawful, Raciest, Gay president we have had, did I mention also the worse president America has ever had, His actions and involvement with Fast and Furious and the forcing open of the southern border is pure Treason and Obummer needs tried for it, sentenced and the sentence carried out! Obummer the traitor!

      • Doc Sarvis

Okay Bill, You make a bunch of claims and the only proof you provide is the Fast and Furious failure. Interesting note, Fast and Furious was started by the previous administration. Another hollow response.

      • Whit

        @ Doc Sarvis

“Operation Wide Receiver,” was run under the Bush administration out of Tucson between 2006 and 2007, ending before Bush left office. “Fast and Furious” began under Obama in 2009.

        Cheers

      • Chester

Jim, works and actions carry a lot of weight, and the fact that, even though a lot of us don’t care for the pastor of the CHURCH he attended in Chicago, he was ATTENDING a Christian church, and no imam has issued a fatwah against him. Had he been Muslim, as you claim, and he had been seen in a Christian church, at least three or four fatwahs would have been issued calling for his head, on a platter, please.

      • Chester

Vigilant, we disagree here. First, your count of MILLIONS of unborn FETUSES MURDERED in this country, ON DEMAND, I do believe you had best go back and study that subject, instead of taking the anti-abortionist count as God’s truth. First and foremost, there have NEVER been enough abortion providers and clinics to process that many women, assuming each procedure took an hour, or less, and they worked eight hours a day, five days a week, year round. Second, the number of providers and clinics has DECREASED, not increased, over the years since Roe V, Wade saw the Supreme Court and became the law of the land. Now, to another item, just WHY are you, and so many like you, so intent on FORCING a woman to complete a pregnancy that may well have been forced upon her? You claim to be for smaller government, but that only seems to be true when it comes to the business world, In our personal lives, you want Uncle sticking his nose in EVERY bedroom, and in EVERY doctor’s office and operating room, just in case someone MIGHT practice something YOU don’t approve of. Funny thing is, that is EXACTLY what you accuse the Democrats of wanting to do.

      • Vigilant

Chester, you’re so far off the chart in your “assessment” that it’s hard to know where to begin. Let’s start with the numbers: Just from 1990 through 2007, over 1.35 million abortions have been performed PER YEAR in this country, for a total of approximately 24.3 million murders of innocent life. Source: the US Census (http://www.census.gov/compendia/statab/cats/births_deaths_marriages_divorces/family_planning_abortions.html)

With the number of abortion providers steady at about 1,790 in the USA, that means they need to each perform 754 abortions per year, or a little over 14 per 5-day week. Impossible you say? Wake up. Your attempt to minimize the number through faulty math AND logic smacks of the Holocaust-denier methodology.

Then you say, “Now, to another item, just WHY are you, and so many like you, so intent on FORCING a woman to complete a pregnancy that may well have been forced upon her?”

Ah, the usual false smoke and mirrors argument, wrong on two counts. Even your leftist NY Times reports that only 1% of abortions are performed on raped women. Even accounting for underreporting, the figures are a smidgen compared to the number of on-demand abortions. Furthermore, did you know that “in the only major study of pregnant rape victims ever done, Dr. Sandra Mahkorn found that 75 to 85 percent chose against abortion.” (answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20081114235858AAHQ6oT)

Secondly, for you and your ilk to justify millions of on-demand abortions on the specious basis of the relatively rare rape and incest is not only a non sequitur, it is intellectual dishonesty of the highest order. You win no arguments that way.

And to borrow your words, “I do believe you had best go back and study that subject…”

      • Vigilant

Then Chester pontificates with “…you want Uncle sticking his nose in EVERY bedroom, and in EVERY doctor’s office and operating room, just in case someone MIGHT practice something YOU don’t approve of. Funny thing is, that is EXACTLY what you accuse the Democrats of wanting to do.”

“Every bedroom?” Another bogus and totally false argument. Care to provide some specifics for that erroneous charge?

Son, it’s not a matter of approval or disapproval alone. It’s called fidelity to the very fundamental principles upon which this nation was founded. It’s called the obligation which falls upon each of us under Natural Law, and the government established under that law, for the “mutual preservation of their lives, liberties and estates.” (John Locke)

That a feckless Supreme Court ever decided in Roe vs. Wade that abortion is legal is NOT an underwriting of Natural Law; it is repugnant to, and a violation of, all decent human beings and that law.

      • Vigilant

Sarvis apparently hasn’t read the Constitution. The First Amendment says, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

Now, Sarvis, kindly explain how my comments in any way, shape or form denote a disrespect for that amendment. Caution: don’t appeal to the religion argument; I’m not a Christian.

        ——————————————————————————–

      • Vigilant

Amusingly, Sarvis shoots himself in the foot with “The First Amendment is First for a reason and it is a cornerstone of our country’s founding.”

You’re damned right. The country’s foundation is clearly laid on Jefferson’s appeal to Natural Law and its guarantees of life, liberty and property (Locke). It is also clearly a Deist perspective that recognizes the Creator and his laws, not confined to Christianity but to the whole universe of religions.

Any fool who doesn’t understand the indissoluble connection between the Declaration and the Constitution (and there are a lot of liberal fools out there) has no clue whatsoever to the divine sanctity of life upon which it all depends.

How telling is this? ! The Leftist have become so desperate for someone else to blame, given that they have long ago worn out the blame Bush, Tsunamis, ATMs, Kiosks, Snowstorms, ETC., they are forced to go all the way back to Nixon!

“How sad all the values that relate to health care and taking care of the poor are userped [sic] by politics from the likes of Nixon.”

How sad all the values of Natural Law upon which this nation was founded are denied by those who advocate murder of the unborn innocents in the faux name of “health care.”

    • eddie47d

Since Cardinal Dolan is giving a prayer at the DNC then this whole article is bogus and only meant to stir up trouble.Which of course you all beg for. Another thing there will be Muslims making the same requests at the RNC in Tampa so why wasn’t or isn’t that reported on. I hope that T doesn’t stand for Tom because your sir are no “Jefferson” and neither is the author. .

      • http://none Charlie

eddie47d,,, good shot eddie ,but , you missed the point man ,,,The point Man is King Jesus ,read Matthew 10:34 “”"Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth ; I
did not come to bring peace , but a sword.”"”Matthew 10 also covers some of the race issue …
How many making comment here can prove with scripture that they are “Christians” PER
The Book??? BHO has not , the Catholics DO NOT teach salvation PER The Book…
King Jesus was / is The King of America , His Law Book, The Holy Bible , was the “Constitution” and Law for the “Pilgrims” and early states of America… So what? you say,,,
Well ,,,King Jesus is just alive and well today as He was in 1620, how do I know? I talked
to Him today using His Words at Matthew 6:9—13, that “Prayer” and some shorter shouts to The King has saved My foolish butt many times in the past,,,BUT,,,don’t expect King Jesus to walk up to you on the street and introduce Himself …
He had His Men write a Book for you , if you don’t want to learn the easy way , then figure it out on the hiway to hell … But , during the mean time better…
Praise King Jesus for Salvation and Healing … Acts 2:38 IS salvation…

      T. Jefferson ,

Vote them all out from the local level to the Oval Office.

      Best Wishes,

  • Doc Sarvis

It is very interesting that Conservatives are making such a big deal over the faith of President Obama while trying to avoid the subject with the Republican nominee Romney. In a country of Freedom of Religion I don’t think this is an issue. It is the radical elements of ANY Religion and those who use a Religion’s name to further a radical agenda who cause problems in the world. This is just more fear mongering from this site.

    • Robert Smith

“This is just more fear mongering from this site.”

        A Leftist President would have:
        stopped oil and gas production
        heavily regulated Wall Street
immediately removed all troops from Iraq & Afghanistan
removed the “work” requirement from welfare (the current myth from the Right that he has done so is a lie-he has given control on how to require work to the states which is what the states wanted)
legalized gay marriage for the country
stopped the sale of gas powered vehicles
not caved in to the insurance industry in the Affordable Care Act
completely filled his cabinet with minorities
completely stopped the Keystone Pipeline process (as opposed to sending it back for more review)
        prohibited fracking
        etc. etc. etc.

      • Ted Crawford

I expressed my belief that Obama was a radical, not a complete Moron, which is what you described! However, given time….!

      • Doc Sarvis

PERHAPS a moron would have done all of those things. President Obama has done NONE of them.

      • eddie47d

Do you ever stop and listen to yourself Ted? This article is misleading and you certainly are accepting all the errors . Did you know this Muslim prayer group is one of over 1,000 associations or groups that will be in Charlotte next week? There are always various organizations at ALL these conventions whether the DNC or the RNC. In 2008 there were 1,200 groups in Denver making requests to be heard. They were not a part of the official DNC Convention but are there to bend someones ear. The same happens at the RNC which would be in Tampa as we speak.

      • JeffH

Doc says “He has been a CENTRIST!” I say you don’t have a clue.

Alinsky said you can fool most of the people some of the time.

Alinsky’s tenth rule of the ethics of means: “You do what you can with what you have and clothe it with moral garments.”

“An organizer(Obama)must first overcome suspicion and establish credibility. Next the organizer must begin the task of agitating: rubbing resentments, fanning hostilities, and searching out controversy. This is necessary to get people to participate. An organizer has to attack apathy and disturb the prevailing patterns of complacent community life where people have simply come to accept a bad situation. Alinsky would say, “The first step in community organization is community disorganization.”

Obama did everything Alinsky prescribed. He went to Chicago, home of Alinsky and the place where Davis had worked for the communist revolution. Obama trained at the Industrial Areas Foundation, an Alinsky training institute. He organized in Chicago and did voter registration and training for ACORN. He went to law school. He built political alliances. He kept a tight lock on his records and his past.

As for Judeo/Christian morals. Forget it. Alinsky trained his radicals in the spirit of no-holds-barred methods. In Alinsky’s mind, the American power structure was evil to its core and justified any means necessary to change the “world as it is” into the “world as it should be.” Both Barack and Michelle Obama include these Alinsky code words in their speeches, and we should not mistake their meaning. No means are out of bounds.

        @Doc “centrist”

You really crack me up! Here’s another good one. Stalin was a “centrist”. Or, how about this one… Hitler was a “centrist” because he didn’t start burning Jews until after the war had already started. LOL.

        • JJS

Hitler was an extreme right wingnut, the equivalent of today’s Tea Partiers.

      • JeffH

JJS WOW! Could you expand on that statement or is this simply a case of proof by bald assertion?

        • JJS

Teabaggers are radical right wingnuts just the same as Hitler and the Nazis were. How can I be any plainer than that?

      • JeffH

JJS, WOW, again! I could get a non-answer like that from any 5 year old although I suspect you are a bit older, perhaps not mentally but, age wise.

Now go back to your mommies basement.

        • JJS

That’s my story, and I’m sticking to it.

If you, JeffH, aren’t bright enough to see the similarities between the right wingnut Teabaggers and the right wingnut Nazis, Neo-Nazis, Skinheads, KKK, Taliban and the like, I’m sorry for you.

Tell me, genius, what you perceive to be the differences to be since you seem to think you know it all.

        • JJS

In addition, your intelligence (or lack of) shows in your placing a comma where it doesn’t belong and your incorrect spelling of “mommies,” which should be “mommy’s.”

Way to go, bright boy! Bless your heart, we all now know your ability doesn’t measure up to an elementary school student..

      • JeffH

JJS, you’re just an ignorant little child-man(?)…this homey don’t play dat!

I would like you to point out the similarities of the two as you see it.

Has the TP confiscated all guns? Has the TP confiscated all books? Has the TP taken control of all communication? Has the TP rounded up everyone they don’t like and put them in concentration camps, gassed them, shot them or poisened them?

      • JeffH

JJS, you’ve lost the arguement, plain and simple. When you have to resort to pointing out bad grammar and sentance structure as the identifiable strength of your comment and then make similar errors of your own…well my man-boy…you are also a hypocrit.

It wasn’t radical Christians who drove the planes into the twin towers. Nor was it radical Christians, Buddhists or Hindus who’ve terrorized the world with a thousand other violent demonstrations of their beliefs. It was radical Muslims in nearly all cases. So, I think it’s a valid concern whether our president is a Muslim sympathizer, if not a Muslim believer. I’m as protective of the first amendment rights of all Americans as anyone, but Obama hasn’t yet proven to me he’s an American.

      • Karolyn

        Key word here – “RADICAL”

  • jim

Not even the Socialist Party would be stupid enough to replace Christianity with Islam would they? This country was founded on Christian values and has always been officially Christian more than any other religion. I know these days that is being fastly denied, but was not always so. Maybe Brother Louie Frarrakhan will make a guest appearance on stage with Obozo. You know at least all the perverted freak show stars will be out in the parking lot if not on stage. Look for all the homosexual heroes of the administration to be strutting their stuff. There will be more freaks at this gathering than any carnival side show could ever hope to gather.

    • Robert Smith

“This country was founded on Christian values and has always been officially Christian more than any other religion.”

Actually our Constitution is quite specific: There will be NO religious test for candidates.

Why don’t you support the Constitution?

      Rob

    • eddie47d

Farrakhan will not be there in any capacity Jim so that makes you nothing more than a “Conservative” troublemaker.

  • vanessa

Robert Smith must be a plant he sounds just like Obummer. This country was founded on freedom and Christian ideals so Robert if you dont like this country then you and your extremists can leave. rebubs do not pick on anybody just as long as they are pulling the wagon and not sitting in it. I for one am tired of paying for the ones in the wagon.

    • Robert Smith

Hye vanessa, I’m opposed to gun control. It’s all over the place.

So, how can you make such a false claim that I sound “just like” Obama?

      Rob

      • Ted Crawford

Nice attempted side-step there Robert but NON SEQUITUR, Vanessa specifically referenced Christian ideals, not gun control !

      • eddie47d

There are many hard working Muslim Americans “pulling the wagons” so you do indeed attack and disfranchise other Americans.

    • Chester

Vanessa, if the Repubs don’t pick on anyone as long as they are pulling their fair share, WHY are they so intent on making sure gays and lesbians are NOT allowed to pull their fair share the same as any other married couples? OH, and civil unions are NOT the same thing as marriage under a different name, so con’t drop that bomb, And a side note, a plank in the new Republican platform calls for outlawing ALL civil unions, or at least those involving gay and lesbian couples. I suppose you stand behind that one as well.

      • Redbone

Yeah Chester, I’m taking a page from the gay community and pushing for a redifining of another word. Pets. I want it to be federally (legally) recognized and synonomous with “dependents” so that we can write them off on our taxes. Because if you have ever had a pet you know that they are indeed depentdent on you and can cost you thousands of dollars a year. But we don’t get any help. Do they want us to just let them all run free and fend for themselves? More people would adopt if we could get this changed. Look into starting your own PFPAD (People For Pets As Dependents)chapter.

      • kkflash

Since you brought it up, what’s the constitutional authority for giving a tax break, or any other special rights or privileges, to anyone based on the status of their relationship to another person? Why does a marriage confer additional legal rights upon the two people involved, such as the right to be covered under their spouse’s group health insurance? If you can answer these questions, then I think it will be much easier to decide whether “marriage” should be redefined to include same-gender couples, or whether we should allow multiple simultaneous marriages, or marriages between people and animals, and confer special legal rights and privileges upon all the parties involved.

eddie, no senator said that…it was sarcastically said by Foster Fries.

  • Mable 8

This is no “event” to promote the muslims who are “having a hard time” being accepted in American society. It is, however, a means to force the American citizens to observe what our “national religion” is to be should the great imposter be permitted to remain in American politics in any capacity. It is time to get rid of the nits and as far as I am concerned, oust every one of those radical jihadists and destroy their hoses of lies. .

    • Mable 8

Sorry for the typo; the statement “as far as I am concerned, oust every one of those radical jihadists and destroy their hoses of lies” should read: …..as far as I am concerned, oust every one of those radical jihadists and destroy their HOUSES of lies.” .

PL: When will we ever get an ‘edit’ button??????

      • eddie47d

Considering that a Mosque being built in Joplin Missouri was burnt down a week ago I think a few radical Christians are practicing what you preach. Maybe Mabel carried the torch!

  • Charles Johnson, a Democrat

Promoting the Muslims by having the Islamic prayer is a slap in the face to the Christians and other religions that built this great nation. Please reconsider.

    • Doc Sarvis

      Are we not trained to:
      1. turn the other cheek
      2. pray on our own.
I NEVER understood the group prayer issue. I was taught, and I do practice, that one can pray anytime and anywhere. Jesus went off to himself to pray on many/most(?) occasions.

  • proud to be an American

What’s in a name? BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA. BARRY SOETORO. MUHAMMED ALI. sounds like MUSLIM. Could Robert Smith have changed his name to Smith so he could make radical statements.? It’s okay Robert, we know why you oppose gun control. It could be an easy way out if sharia law gets in.

    • eddie47d

Your statement is strange to say the least so maybe you should take a peek in the mirror and check out the real radical.

  • GRAMPA

A word of advice to the Muslim community. If you pose a threat to me or my family I will join other Americans to eliminate that threat. Americans have fought and spilled our blood for freedom we will not tolerate a violent fraction of what was called a peaceful religion to make little of our efforts. We are not the middle eastern dictators you are used to dealing with. We are a Judeao Christian nation who will not change. To the Democratic convention, Continue your politically correct methods. You will cease to exist as a political party. I personally will get involved to educate people to the real reasons for your actions.
    God bless America.
    Grampa

    • eddie47d

That Muslim prayer group is NOT apart of the DNC so you Grampa are another kool aid drinker. I’m more concerned about all the extreme right wing groups attempting to take over America. Are you concerned about them since a few proclaim Christianity to achieve their violent goals? Sovereign Nation has already killed five police officers and those doing the killing also proclaim political correctness in eliminating what they see as threats.

      • JeffH

eddie, why would the DNC announce that they will be hosting Islamic “Jumah” prayers for two hours on the Friday of its convention if they’re not a part of it?

Not all Muslims feel that BIMA represents their perspectives and M. Zuhdi Jasser M.D., founder and president of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy has expressed serious concerns.

“It is troubling that the Democratic National Convention has decided to promote and lend its name and national political platform to the organizers of the ‘Jumah at the DNC’”, he said. “The leaders of this event, Jibril Hough and Imam Siraj Wahha,j are advertised as moderates. They are radicals. These individuals embrace Islamist supremacy and have demonstrated support for radical ideologies.”

Dr. Jasser added, “Their jumah group prayer is against the Patriot Act, the NYPD, and Islamophobia. Their views on these topics have nothing to do with preserving our democracy as we know it, but it is about empowering their Islamist and Muslim Brotherhood sympathizers into the very fabric of the political system so that Americans become anesthetized. We need American Muslims to speak up and marginalize these radicals. The DNC needs to understand and reject them because of their radical history and ideas.”

  • EHeassler, USN-Ret.

This should tell you just about everything you need to know about hussein obama! He craps on Christians in general, despises Catholics and is trying to destroy The Church in America, sides with Muslims over Israel at every opportunity and will destroy Jewry if allowed, and mocks Mormons or any other devout followers of non-muslim faiths. An now, he is exalting Islam above all else at the DN Convention. Now, not only has the Democrat Party evolved into the National Socialist Democrat Party but is now the pary of Islam. They are sowing the seeds of destruction of the USA and should be stopped at all costs. I know one or two Democrat politicians in my area and I know they just don’t see what their party is doing. They really don’t believe that obam is a fraud, hates this country and is out to destroy it any way he can. I think that they would be shocked to learn of how many Muslims have been appointed to key areas within the government but they really aren’t interested in finding out. This process has been aided and abetted by career politicians on both sides of the aisle who are just not interested in rocking the gravy boat. They are protecting their turf, their perks, and their power. It’s time to vote them out.

    • eddie47d

Where has Obama said anything derogatory about Mormon? Over the years I have heard Christians making crude remarks against them but not Obama. You can worship as you please so I will see you in Church Sunday? Sorry to disappoint you but Obama will not be outside your place of worship (or mine either) to keep you out. When it comes to Israel it is they who are threatening us by advocating war (in October) against Iran. That means Israel is attempting to run the show thus our country and Obama finds that unacceptable.Apparently you are okay with those Israeli tactics. Now Obama will not allow Israel (Jewry) to be destroyed and is not “sowing the seeds of destruction” So please stop with all that hyperventilating.

    • Chester

Last I heard, the Cardinal would be giving the closing prayer rather than the opening, but the Muslim group thing is not even a part of the convention proper, just a side event that will be occurring at about the same time as the opening ceremonies.

I am convinced that looking at some of the comments on this site that there is an awful lot of crazy going on in this country. The more I see and read, the more I am frightened for our future. To believe that the President of the United States is going to invoke Sharia law (ouch) how dumb can you get? To believe that our President, who destroyed Al Qaeda and killed Bin Laden is somehow against this country. If a W had done what this President has done — just to keep us safe– he would be your President for life. Show the President some respect– he deserves it having to put up with the crap that I see in the comments and still believing in you and working for you— Time to get some facts,do some reading and check objective sources for your information– You may not be convinced because you are so firm in your distorted beliefs– but at least you may actually begin to get a different perception of things.

Len: here is a excerpt and rebuttal to your comments:

      First your comments:
“To believe that the President of the United States is going to invoke Sharia law (ouch) how dumb can you get? To believe that our President, who destroyed Al Qaeda and killed Bin Laden is somehow against this country. If a W had done what this President has done — just to keep us safe– he would be your President for life. Show the President some respect– he deserves it having to put up with the crap that I see in the comments and still believing in you and working for you”

Rebuttal: Sharia law is already being applied in lower level US courts. Specifically, two muslims brought suit against each other and the presiding judge used Sharia law to determine the outcome.
BOB is a self admitted muslim. It is the duty of muslims to further promote Islam. BOB declared the US to be “No Longer a Christian country” and has avoided every aspect of christianity even to have a crucifix removed for a chapel in which he was going to speak. His being absent from congressional prayer is an indication of intolerance. BOB is anti-Christian as evidenced by his words, actions and legislation FORCING people to disregard individual religious beliefs.

BOB did not destroy Al Queda, If you recall Bush took the lead on this and BOB followed up by diminishing our ability to gain intel by basically hand cuffing our operatives. You may have missed Eric Holders attempted indictment of our operatives for water boarding and trying battlefield captives in US courts in lieu of military tribunals.
Further, BOB mandated the use of the basic Army Field Manual as the “accepted interrogation model” our intelligence officers interrogating battlefield captured terrorists.

As for BOB killing Osama …. BOB did not … seal team 6 gets that credit …. and, here we have a sitting president saying; “I killed Osama Bin Laden” on television for the world to see his so called spiking of the football. Further, this president released information within one day of the operation that nullified much of the intel gathered at Osam’s compound. (Obama exhibits symptoms of being a narcissist.)

As far as Bush, or anyone else for that matter, “being president for life” is your most egregious comment. Anyone with a basic understanding of politics knows a president can serve only two terms. To suggest the impossible even as a metaphor shows unimaginable levels of ignorance.

You say show respect…. WHY? This sitting president has disrespected every American citizen by his deceptive and divisive rhetoric . Further, this president is a racist as evidenced by his words and actions. 20 years of sitting in Rev. Wright’s ” God Damn America, Black Liberation Theology Church, is testimony enough. His wife Michelle fits the same mold as evidenced by her words regarding the first time she had “respect for her country” (as stated when BOB was nominated by the democrat party)
In America, REPECT IS EARNED; not demanded (nor should be given blindly).
BOB gets little to no respect from folks that understand what this man is intentionally doing by his “FUNDAMENTALLY CHANGING AMERICA” agenda.

You talk about the “crap and craziness” going on in this country and on this blog.
Given your collective comments, and with all due respect, your comments may be most un-informed ever posted to this site.

      • Karolyn

Speaking of being uninformed, you obviously believe eveything that comes from a conservative’s mouth even if it’s not true. Do you factcheck everything you read? Do you ever check any skeptic blogs to see what impartial skeptics have to say about some of the lies and runors being spread? even thugh you wouldn’t believe them anyway since they do not support what you do believe) I think not.

      • Pathfinder

        Karolyn:
The illustrations cited were taken from the mainstream media, and BOB’s own words.

The definition of SKEPTIC is: a person inclined to question or doubt all accepted opinions. So, exactly what is an “impartial skeptic”?

Americans deserve choices and can vote for whomever or political party they think best. It is folly to cheerlead for one over the other. Obama fed the nation a bunch of lies as his actions indicate and therefore can not be trusted. That is my opinion and you obviously have yours. Apparently your comments are best characterized by the last three words in your posting.

        Have a nice day!

      • Karolyn

I would define an impartial skeptic as someone who is not questioning from a biased position but rather from am impartial position.

lenmiller? heed your own advise ,,,Is King Jesus right or wrong???

    • john j

I read all these comments about God and I realize that a lot of us after the spelling of his name we’re lost if you really stop with an open mind and leave religion out of the picture and just read the Bible from cover to cover you have you will have a clear picture of why the world is in the bad shape it’s in not only that but what’s coming .While books like the Quran are nice books. None come close to the bible. It’s the only book that tells you the future .You know what our real problem is ? We don’t want to know the truth .We. are like people living in a house ,that some of the rooms are on fire and we just shut the door so we can ignore it .Well eventually you either the fire and deal with it or be consumed by it. A good example is non belief in Jesus Christ .In the old testament there are two to three hundred prophecies of his coming, over a four thousand year period by about forty different writers. and most of them didn’t even know each other and in the new testament most of these people did know each other and at least five hundred witnessed many of the things he did So are you going to tell me all these people conspired to make us believe in a fraud well than I want to know who was the dam fool who got himself crucified knowing that he was a phony .The truth of the matter is Jesus Christ is exactly who he claimed to be. and whets happing to day is that there is a war between God and Satan, who Jesus defeated at the cross .Because Satan knows his time is very short and if you knew scripture it tells you revelations 12,12 Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. This is the real reason the Jews are suffering . Not because they killed Christ .Read Matthew 20,19 .There’s a paper called replacement theology I think it came out about one hundred A.AD that states the Jews killed Christ and the church is now became spherical Israel. I’m not going to state the whole thing .But if you believe that you might as well believe in the tooth fairy .The Jews are suffering because when Christ died on the cross Satan was defeated ,he knew his rein was over .He could not defeat Christ so his only chance is to stop biblical prophecy .He tried this in Germany. If he killed off all the Jews there would be no nation of Israel .Hitler was his dupe So having failed there he his now using the Muslims just like Hitler But Iran will not be successful. I think the Jews will stop Iran in her tracks but I don’t know how but you just watch But I know this God said that in the latter days he would gather the Jews from all the nations and bring them back to their own land and no one would drive them out. This is why the Arabs keep losing in their battles with the Jews .Because they are not fighting the Jews they are fighting God and have no hope of winning .Look for the EU to regroup and come up with a ten nation system When you see this nation system come about. Make your peace with JESUS CHRIST Because you are going to need him badly

      • http://none Charlie

Rob, by what authority did BHO set aside the contractual agreements between the bond holders and GM? I don’t see anywhere in the Constitution where the President has the power to set aside legal contracts? Also, by what authority did he dictate to the bond holders what return they would receive in a liquidation proceeding of GM and what percentage of ownership he would provide to the unions, bond holders, and government? Do you believe that GM and all of those jobs would have disappeared had GM sought Chapter 11 protection under the bankruptcy code? Rather than demand proof, when abuses of our laws are all around you, why don’t you begin to ask some questions for yourself and begin to question the illegal activity promoted by this administration. We have a couple of dead boarder agents and several hundred Mexican nationals killed by weapons that this administration let walk across the border with no attempt to track…Don’t tell me that BHO isn’t corrupt…He’s a murderous, lying president if there ever was one.

Please do not include me in that statement…I never confirmed or denied anything. I simply pointed out that you always give us your opinion and almost never support those opinons with evidence…nothing more, nothing less. You insinuate “truths” but rarely if ever put forth anything in support of those “claimed” truths.
Now, since you have posted something to bolster your opinion…you have done what you should have done in your original post.
Instead of doing that, you chose to simply give opinion…when you should have provided your link to begin with. How difficult was that to do? In the future…support your claims in your first posting and let the reader make up thier own minds as to the validity of your claims and your sources. A pretty simple concept. Please, don’t tell me that you post them when you have them…because you had that link, but failed to post it in your original statement.

The Muslims are doing their best to bring their religious laws to the US for all to follow. Why not have the Muslim prayer there? After all, it is apparent that Oblama is certainly not Christian and is Islamic. Shouldn’t he have the prayer he wants there since they are going to nominate him to become President again?

Funny thing about these people that speak against a woman’s right to choose. I’m not to sure if they know what they are asking. According to the statistics 75% of women who have had abortion claim the reason is becaue they lack the financial stability to have a child which would increase entitlement program spending. Half say they either don’t want to continue in current relationship or involement with father which would lead to more domestic violence. And still 75% of responses found that having a child would intefere with other responsibilities which include work, school, etc. also leading to more entitlement for food and housing. So to put that into prespective of the 13ish million abortions in the last decade we would add at least that many more to entitlements in which some of the same also want to end but in fact would be increasing.

There’s Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Unitarian Universalism, Neo-Paganism, Wiccan, Islam, Spiritualism, Native American Religion, Bahaism, New Age, Sikhism, Scientology, Humanism, Deism, Taoism, Druidism, Zoroastrianism, Eckankar, Cao Daism, Santeria, Rastafarianism, Shintoism, The Druze, Ethical Culture, Sant Mat.

    Luciferianism: The Religion of Apotheosis

Luciferianism constitutes the nucleus of the ruling class religion. While there are definitely political and economic rationales for elite criminality, Luciferianism can account for the longevity of many of the oligarchs’ projects.

Many of the longest and most brutal human endeavors have been underpinned by some form of religious zealotry. The Crusades testify to this historical fact.

Likewise, the power elite’s ongoing campaign to establish a socialist totalitarian global government has Luciferianism to thank for both its longevity and frequently violent character. In the mind of the modern oligarch, Luciferianism provides religious legitimacy for otherwise morally questionable plans.

Luciferianism is the product of religious engineering, which sociologist William Sims Bainbridge defines as “the conscious, systematic, skilled creation of a new religion” (“New Religions, Science, and Secularization,” no pagination). In actuality, this is a tradition that even precedes Bainbridge. It has been the practice of Freemasonry for years.

It was also the practice of Masonry’s religious and philosophical progenitors, the ancient pagan Mystery cults. The inner doctrines of the Mesopotamian secret societies provided the theological foundations for the Christian and Judaic heresies, Kabbalism and Gnosticism. All modern Luciferian philosophy finds “scientific” legitimacy in the Gnostic myth of Darwinism.

As evolutionary thought was popularized, variants of Luciferianism were popularized along with it (particularly in the form of secular humanism, which shall be examined shortly). A historical corollary of this popularization has been the rise of several cults and mass movements, exemplified by the various mystical sects and gurus of the sixties counterculture. The metastasis of Luciferian thinking continues to this very day.

Luciferianism represents a radical revaluation of humanity’s ageless adversary: Satan. It is the ultimate inversion of good and evil.

The formula for this inversion is reflected by the narrative paradigm of the Gnostic Hypostasis myth. As opposed to the original Biblical version, the Gnostic account represents a “revaluation of the Hebraic story of the first man’s temptation, the desire of mere men to ‘be as gods’ by partaking of the tree of the ‘knowledge of good and evil’” (Raschke 26). Carl Raschke elaborates:

In The Hypostasis of the Archons, an Egyptian Gnostic document, we read how the traditional story of man’s disobedience toward God is reinterpreted as a universal conflict between “knowledge” (gnosis) and the dark “powers” (exousia) of the world, which bind the human soul in ignorance. The Hypostasis describes man as a stepchild of Sophia (“Wisdom”) created according to the “model” of aion, the imperishable realm of eternity.

On the other hand, it is neither God the Imperishable nor Sophia who actually is responsible in the making of man. On the contrary, the task is undertaken by the archons, the demonic powers who, because of their “weakness,” entrap man in a material body and thus cut him off from his blessed origin. They place him in paradise and enjoin him against eating of the tree of knowledge.

The prohibition, however, is viewed by the author of the text not as a holy command but as a malignant effort on the part of the inferior spirits to prevent Adam from having true communion with the High God, from gaining authentic gnosis.

According to this bowdlerization, Adam is consistently contacted by the High God in hopes of reinitiating man’s quest for gnosis. The archons intervene and create Eve to distract Adam from the pursuit of gnosis. However, this Gnostic Eve is actually a “sort of ‘undercover’ agent for the High God, who is charged with divulging to Adam the truth that has been withheld from him”.

The archons manage to sabotage this covert operation by facilitating sexual intercourse between Adam and Eve, an act that Gnostics contend was designed to defile the “woman’s spiritual nature”. At this juncture, the Hypostasis reintroduces a familiar antagonist from the original Genesis account:

But now the principle of feminine wisdom reappears in the form of the serpent, called the “Instructor,” who tells the mortal pair to defy the prohibition of the archons and eat of the tree of knowledge.

The serpent successfully entices Adam and Eve to eat the forbidden fruit, but the “bodily defilement” of the woman prevents man from understanding the true motive underpinning the act. Thus, humanity is fettered by the archons’ “curse”, suggesting that the “orthodox theological view of the violation of the command as ‘sin’ must be regarded anew as the mindless failure to commit the act rightly in the first place”. In this revisionist context, the serpent is no longer Satan, but is an “incognito savior” instead. Meanwhile, God’s role as benevolent Heavenly Father is vilified:

The God of Genesis, who comes to reprimand Adam and Eve after their transgression, is rudely caricatured in this tale as the “Arrogant archon” who opposes the will of the authentic heavenly father.

Of course, within this Gnostic narrative, God incarnate is equally belittled. Jesus Christ, the Word made flesh, is reduced to little more than a forerunner of the coming Gnostic adept. According to the Gnostic mythology, Jesus was but a mere “type” of this perfect man. He came as a “teacher and an exemplar, to show others the path to illumination”. The true messiah has yet to come. Equally, the serpent is only a precursor to this messiah. He only initiates man’s journey towards gnosis. The developmental voyage must be further facilitated by the serpent’s predecessor, the Gnostic Christ. The Hypostasis provides the paradigmatic template for all Luciferian mythologies.

Like the Hypostasis, the binary opposition of Luciferian mythology caricatures Jehovah as an oppressive tyrant. He becomes the “archon of arrogance,” the embodiment of ignorance and religious superstition. Satan, who retains his heavenly title of Lucifer, is the liberator of humanity. Masonry, which acts as the contemporary retainer for the ancient Mystery religion, reconceptualizes Satan in a similar fashion. In Morals and Dogma, 33rd degree Freemason Albert Pike candidly exalts the fallen angel:

LUCIFER, the Light-bearer! Strange and mysterious name to give to the Spirit of Darkness! Lucifer, the Son of the Morning! Is it he who bears the Light, and with its splendors intolerable blinds feeble, sensual, or selfish Souls? Doubt it not. (321)

He makes man aware of his own innate divinity and promises to unlock the god within us all. This theme of apotheosis underpinned both Gnosticism and the pagan Mystery religions. While Gnosticism’s origins with the Ancient Mystery cults remains a source of contention amongst scholars, its promises of liberation from humanity’s material side is strongly akin to the old pagan Mystery’s variety of “psychic therapy”. In addition, the Ancient Mystery religion promised the:

opportunity to erase the curse of mortality by direct encounter with the patron deity, or in many instances by actually undergoing an apotheosis, a transfiguration of human into divine.

Like some varieties of Satanism, Luciferianism does not depict the devil as a literal metaphysical entity. Lucifer only symbolizes the cognitive powers of man. He is the embodiment of science and reason. It is the Luciferian’s religious conviction that these two facilitative forces will dethrone God and apotheosize man.

It comes as little surprise that the radicals of the early revolutionary faith celebrated the arrival of Darwinism. Evolutionary theory was the edifying “science” of Promethean zealotry and the new secular religion of the scientific dictatorship. According to Masonic scholar Wilmshurst, the completion of human evolution involves man “becoming a god-like being and unifying his consciousness with the Omniscient”.

During the Enlightenment, Luciferianism was disseminated on the popular level as secular humanism. All of the governing precepts of Luciferianism are encompassed by secular humanism. This is made evident by the philosophy’s rejection of theistic morality and enthronement of man as his own absolute moral authority. While Luciferianism has no sacred texts, Humanist Manifesto I and II succinctly delineate its central tenets. Whittaker Chambers, former member of the communist underground in America, eloquently summarizes this truth:

“Humanism is not new. It is, in fact, man’s second oldest faith. Its promise was whispered in the first days of Creation under the Tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil: ‘Ye shall be as gods.’” (Qutd. in Baker 206)

I do a fair amount of reading about politics and have felt in the past that Personal Liberty Digest was a credible source for information. I say “in the past” because today this publication caused me great embarrassment.

After reading the column by Bryan Nash about the Democrats not responding to a Catholic bishop’s offer to pray at their convention and instead supporting an Islamic Jumah prayer, I was livid. I copied the article and forwarded it to several of my correspondents along with some very trenchant comments. To my chagrin, I got a reply from one of them that ripped me a new one for spreading such a ridiculous fabrication.

I don’t have to recount how badly Nash abused truth and honesty because Vigilant (8/29 – 7:55AM) has already exposed him, but I’ll add that this article smacks of extreme right wingnut bull$**t. I will never read another article on the Personal Liberty Digest website without thinking of Nash’s attempt to smear the Democrats with a story that had absolutely no merit. Furthermore, I won’t ever forward another story from this site without first verifying each and every printed word. I won’t be bear trapped by this publication ever again.

does it matter who obama prays to? such questions were asked centuries ago. i think the world has become more civilised and tolerant since then. the question that needs discussion is, what has obama done for america? not much. he has not started wars as the republican bush did. the iraq adventure was based on WMD. after destroying the country and killing millions the bush administration came to the conclusion ‘heck, we were wrong. there are no WMDs’. right now, it is imperative that the country find a leader to lead it out of a deep mess. the current GOP nominee is as hawkish as the neocons of the bush administration. if nominee gets elected and goes after iran, the russians have already warned that they will engage american forces if they have to. that could lead to an undesirable escalation. we ned to worry about such a prospect.

  • proud to be an American

To javaid……yes it matters who he prays to. If you read the koran (muslim version of the bible), it call for the destruction of all non-muslims similiar to the reference in the the bible as in revelation to the unbelievers. You should also review your facts about Bush before you bash. He was given intelligence from the brits on the wmd’s. You could say that Bush should have followed obummers tactics about security leaks from the WH and let the liberal press print the facts. (cbs, nbc, abc pbs). You might want to look @ the ending 2 letters with this news media- bs, bc, bc, bs. Get the picture? On the other hand, since the enemy is already in the WH, we should prepare to war them out through our open borders. The American revolving door. We let them in and we kick them out. This story is an outright lie; specifically, Cardinal (Catholic?) Dolan will give the closing benediction. If we fail to deal with i-slam in the most exacting ways possible, by ridding them of any and all rights to have any political and/or social influence whatsoever, we will suffer the consequences.
If any are wondering why I choose to spell it ‘i-slam’, it is to constantly remind myself that “i-slam commercial jets into tall buildings”, and I also refuse to give them the dignity of placing a capital ‘I’ in front.

      The Treaty of Tripoli
Art. 11. As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion; as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquillity, of Mussulmen; and, as the said States never entered into any war, or act of hostility against any Mahometan nation, it is declared by the parties, that no pretext arising from religious opinions, shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries.
Authored by American diplomat Joel Barlow in 1796, the following treaty was sent to the floor of the Senate, June 7, 1797, where it was read aloud in its entirety and unanimously approved. John Adams, having seen the treaty, signed it and proudly proclaimed it to the Nation.

We all need to be aware of the well documented fact that militant i-slamists world-wide are intent on mounting global jihad to create a global i-slamic state. Here is one study, but there are many more available: http://www.strategicstudiesinstitute.army.mil/pdffiles/PUB809.pdf
I strongly believe that by the simple fact that muslems are prolific and unrestrained breeders, they will gain enough political and social clout to influence government and social policy at all levels. If you doubt this, please research what is already happening in Britain, where entire communities are now living under sharia law instead of civil law. It is still a thinly veiled underground reality, but a reality none the less.
Mostly this has occured because of western society’s propensity for political correctness, which removes from public discussion any level of genuine criticism for any reason whatsoever, and in a nutshell suggests to all who listen that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.
If we fail to curb the i-slamists now, we only have ourselves to blame for the consequences.
Personally, I believe ‘the religion of the slave’ that is i-slam, is the anti-christ, or at the very least, the vehicle for his rise.

I clicked on the third link and found it to be a Charlotte Observer website that looks like, BUT IS NOT, a Democratic party site which did have a story about the Prayer event. A little deceptive I would say.

Everything else I have read about the Prayer service is that is not sponsored, supported or endorsed by the Democratic Party but instead just another public event going on in
Charolette at the same time as the Convention

The websites posted by Caroline says and others as proof that Obama is a Muslim are
a joke. One is an obvioius mispeak (I guess you guys that believe it wasn’t also believe that Ryan is the Republoican Presidential canidate because Romey introduced Ryan as the “next President” at the event where he announce Ryan as his running mate).

The second one is nothing but clips and edits put together to make it appear that Obama
    is a Muslim.

Did anyone who looked at the video happened to read the disclaimer at the top when it first starts? Probably not. In case you missed it, it states that the people who made it are not saying or making any claim that Obma is a Muslim or that he had said he was one.

I am sick and tired of these Islamists saying that its Islamaphobia when you speak out about Islamafasicim when they continue to make threats and and carry out those threats against Jews, Christians, Hindus, Buddists and other non-Moslems!!
