Court: No Molestation If Victim Slept
STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Oct. 21 (UPI) — A Swedish court cleared two men of sexual molestation charges because the woman whose breasts they stripped and photographed was asleep at the time.
The Stockholm District Court cleared the two 20-year-old men of the charges, which were brought after photographs of the men exposing their sex organs and the sleeping 18-year-old’s breasts were found on a computer during a drug investigation, the Swedish news agency TT and The Local reported Friday.
Prosecutor Gunnar Merkel said he is planning to appeal the case.
“She considers herself to have been seriously violated,” Merkel said. “This is about more than simply taking pictures in secret.”
