Cost Of Illegal Immigration In Arizona Amounts To Billions, Research Finds

May 31, 2010 by

Cost of illegal immigration in Arizona amounts to billions, research finds Lawyers across the country may be preparing lawsuits challenging the recently passed Arizona immigration law, but one immigration reform group says this doesn’t change the fact that the influx of illegal aliens has a significant impact on the state’s budget.

Recent estimates released by the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) suggest that Arizona’s cost of illegal immigration exceeds $2.7 billion annually. Six years ago, the organization put that cost at about $1.3 billion.

Regarding specific budgetary areas, FAIR has found that K-12 education of the children of illegal aliens costs the state’s taxpayers nearly $1.4 billion. Among other state expenses, Medicaid, SCHIP, incarceration and welfare cost approximately $1 billion.

By contrast, the report found that state tax revenue collected from illegal immigrants amounts to only about $143 million annually, leaving a deficit of more than a $2.7 billion.

"It’s no surprise that the state of Arizona, one of the hardest hit by illegal immigration, now has one of the toughest laws," said Dan Stein, president of FAIR.

"[The bill] is a no-nonsense, common-sense example of a state acting where the Federal government is failing, a reaction to the inaction in Washington," he added.

However, opponents of the legislation worry that it will open doors to racial profiling of minorities and create distrust between law enforcement and residents.

I’m so tired of hearing the lame excuse of racial profiling. The Obama administration just wants that door through Arizona left wide open. The far left know that those coming through will be for those democratic hand outs and will vote for them legally or not. Who do they think they’re kidding.

    • Millie

I agree with Jeanjeanie and mehoward, What is wrong with this country’s leaders that will allow our people to be mistreated , just to be politically correct. I for one am tired of the liberals and their ways of life and just think I use to be part of the problem.( Thinking everyone should be correct in their speech.) This ledigston has awakened the sleeping giants but think we are still asleeping.( they think we will forget and go away.) They do not care what we think. SOOOo lets replace them all. Get new blood who knows nothing about all the special deals they can get for voting on someone elses bills.Vote because it’s right to do or the best interest to we the people not so they can get reelected to their post.

  • s c

The Obummer administration’s working philosophy says it’s ‘too big’ to fail. It has the hollow ring of a B-grade Hollywood movie, where only shills and pimps smile and approve. Everyone else knows the ‘score.’
This administration gives itself an A on a daily basis. It will never police itself. Its central gang of thugs think they are immune from the laws of the land. Time behind bars is the solution.
Arizona has had enough. Most of America has had enough. Arizona has no choice but to protect itself against a government that was created on a treasonous drawing board. Even the media, which is normally able to gloss over obvious flaws, knows that Americans see through the masks.
Arizonans live with reality. Washington is too busy staying on a drug-induced high to think about reality. Arizona will survive. Washington’s days are numbered.

    • Jodie

      Well said!!

  • Jennifer Littrell

I came across a good debating resource that allows you to post comments and cast votes either for or against the New Immigration Law of Arizona without prior registration. I really recommend it:

  • John Grogche

America was built on immigrants. But to try and make the case for Illegal Immigration does not cut the mustard with a vast majority of Americans.

  • Claire

” a no-nonsense, common sense example of a state acting where the Federal government is failing” — How true these words are. And yet there are those that disagree with Jan Brewer and the law Arizona has passed. I agree with Jan Brewer and the state of Arizona. Enough is enough.
And now research has proven that illegal immigration has cost Arizona billions. It sure took them long enough to come up with this research. We as Americans already knew.
The Federal government should have stood behind Arizona. In my eyes, the Federal government has reniged. I do not have any respect for our government.

  • Jim H.

2.7 billion a year for just one state. I wonder what the total cost is for the nation? This should be enough incentive to start enforcing the laws already in place. As far as distrust between law enforcement and residents goes, the only residents who will be upset are the ones that aren’t here LEGALLY. Law enforcement is profiling. When you find someone who fits the description of the suspect, you investigate. Pretty simple. I would like to see how much California is paying.

    • Claire

I am off the subject for a moment–Republican Mark Kirk who is a candidate for Illinois Senator, has pulled a “Blumenthal.” Apparently in his campaigns he has stated that he was awarded the U.S. Navy’s Intelligence Officer of the Year, I even heard him say this. He didn’t win this award. Supposedly his unit did but Kirk was acting like “he” won it all by himself. What is wrong with these politicians? Are they crazy? Don’t they have enough sense to know they will get caught? They sure must think the public is stupid.

    • Claire

Jim H — The amount for the entire nation would be staggering. Racial profiling is just an excuse, and you are correct in what you are saying. California’s amount would have to be enormous.

    • Lloyd

Research shows that the total cost to the country each year is approx. 335 BILLION dollars. An amount almost equal to the losses forced upon us by the idiots in Washington for Medicaid!

    • JeffH

Jim H. I highly recommend a tour of this website to realize the overall problems associated with illegal aliens, both financial and social.

      The Costs Of Illegal Immigration

This report has attempted to highlight The Dark Side of Illegal Immigration that the MSM is not reporting on and bring to light the massive amount of collateral damage in terms of Americans that are being ripped off, infected, molested, killed, and murdered as a result of our out of control immigration policies. This section contains a summary of the collateral damage highlighted in this report along with the annual costs when known.

Before we do that, however, let us digress for a moment in the way of remembrance.

On September 11, 2001, a handful of illegal alien terrorists with a plan and the will to carry out that plan, killed 2,752 Americans. The Center for Contemporary Conflict notes in Economic Costs to the United States Stemming From the 9/11 Attacks:
“The September 11 attacks inflicted casualties and material damages on a far greater scale than any other terrorist aggression in recent history. Lower Manhattan lost approximately 30 percent of its office space and a number of businesses ceased to exist. Close to 200,000 jobs were destroyed or relocated out of New York City, at least temporarily. The destruction of physical assets was estimated in the national accounts to amount to $14 billion for private businesses, $1.5 billion for state and local government enterprises and $0.7 billion for federal enterprises. Rescue, cleanup and related costs have been estimated to amount to at least $11 billion for a total direct cost of $27.2 billion.”

      • Jim H.

Jeff, Thanks for the info, it’s very eyeopening.

  • RoBoTech

    Claire, the voters ARE stupid.
Who do you think gave Kirk the Primary in the 1st place?
We SCREAMED at the Illinois Conservatives that they were getting PUNKED by the RNCC by nominating the FAAAAR Left Liberal and RINO, Kirk.
I hope he does lose. If he wins, he’ll just enable Obama’s agenda, just like he already has as a Congressman! So what’s the difference, A democrat that we know is a Progressive Socialist Agenda enabler, or a lying RINO that will turn on us at the worst times?
This idiot voted for CRAP and TAX last year!
NOW I read a lot of blogs saying the Tea Party has a LIAR for a candidate. Obviously, the Libtards have NOT been paying attention. The Tea Party folks have been AGAINST this RINO since the beginning. We saw him as the same as Scozzafava, and an Amnesty Hound like McCain!
So, do you still DOUBT that the Illinois Conservatives are STUPID? His District IS Chicago, you know!

    • Claire

RoBoTech–I didn’t vote for Kirk in the primaries. And as far as I am concerned there isn’t an honest politician in the state of Illinois. They are all con-artists.

    • Jim H.

RoBoTech, The voter turnout for the Illinois Primaries, In Kane County was 20%. Now we’re stuck with Kirk as a candidate. The primaries are just as, or even more important(McCain) than the general elections.

    • GregS

RoBoTech, I’m a conservative, and I didn’t vote for Kirk in the primaries. The problem isn’t with the conservatives in Illinois. It’s the increasing numbers of RINOs and liberals in Illinois who vote for these jerks. That said, I am going to vote for Kirk in November, since we are stuck with him. As a Congressman, he at least voted against ObamaCare, and this is the ONE issue, which we ALL as conservatives, Tea Party members, etc., need to focus on when we vote in November. If Giannoulias (Kirk’s Democratic opponent) wins that race, he will do FAR MORE damage than Kirk in advancing ObamaCare, and amnesty for illegal immigrants. We cannot let that happen! Any conservative who does not vote in that Senate race in November will be virtually handing over that Senate seat (Obummer’s former Senate seat) to Giannoulias on a silver platter! I, for one, do NOT want this to happen!

      • Claire

GregS–I will probably vote for Kirk, although I am not “gung ho” about him. I have no choice, at lease maybe he will help towards repealing the health reform.

        • Claire

          “least” not lease!!

        • GregS

Yea, Claire! I agree with you, that most of the politicians in Illinois are just a bunch of con-artists, but I guess it all boils down to picking the “lesser of the [many] evils.” Politically, our state is so pathetic. Even the state legislature is in terrible shape.

          • Claire

GregS–I know. I am so disgusted with Illinois politics. I should be used to it by now. All these years of crooked shenanigans. It has been this ways for decades and will continue. Did you like Brady?

          • GregS

I like Brady, especially because he’s pro-life, and he’s endorsed by major pro-life groups. Also, he believes in cutting spending instead of raising our taxes. However, as you pointed out in previous posts, he has his bad points (e.g. his sponsorship of the mass euthanasia of dogs and cats bill), but, then again, he is “the lesser of [many] evils,” so I will definitely be voting for him in November.

  • Doc Sarvis

That is just part of the equation. I would love to know how much money employers are saving by hiring these people. This keeps their costs down which either goes into their pockets or is passed on to the American consumer, or both.

    • Meteorlady

In my neck of the woods they keep the profits. Hire cheap, live large. The estimates that I received for some brick and rock work were all very close to the same, but when asked who had legal workers I found that only one employer would supply paperwork that said their workers were legal.

  • Al Sieber

The Obama administration is gonna have the supreme court over turn this new law before it takes effect July 29th. they’re working on it now. the fed. govt. won’t enforce the law, yet Ariz., tries to protect it’s residents by passing a law that mirrors fed. law, but, is more more fair than fed. law. so why hasn’t the Obama admin. enforced the law? we’re tired of Mexico dumping it’s people and problems on the U.S.A. we’re almost bankrupt. we let foreigners come into our country demanding we give them everything free and they have a better life and more opportunities than our own fellow Americans. yes, it’s costing us a lot. it seems they’re pushing for a North American Union.

    • TIME

Have you read the 15 pages of this law? Its no differant than the Federal law on the books. Thus to repeal it would mean that the Federal law would be Nul and Void.

**Please email and Call your state reps and tell them you want the Congress and Senate to stay out of AZ’s way.
Also that you want the BS to stop and you want them to explain how AZ’s laws are no differant than the Federal laws on the books now. And that we don’t need a 2000 page law that takes away more of the United States Citizens Freedoms, and Tax us any more for the Feds lacking doing their jobs.

Let me try and make this clear, The AZ law was done to bring about the obvious to those that are still sitting in the dark.

BarryO is a puppet on a string, so he did his stupid dance just as he has done now countless times, and will keep doing over and over again, note “its the same dance differant day.”
Its all a Dog & Pony Show to inflame the gangs of buffoons that jump at everything.

Yet these same people that jump are trained like seals at Sea World, they jump when told to, it makes no differance what the issue they would jump if they were told they were going to be shot at noon and be there 10 minutes early to be sure they got in the right order for their deaths.

Perhaps one or two may wake up but I really feel that its all part of the lower IQ levels main issues with life in general as in they are disenfranchised thus they will do what they are told by whom ever they think is in charge ~ of whom they feel are Great Leaders.
Its hostory repeteing its self. Some just can’t learn, aka LOW IQ.

As far as Calie’s cost, I have been told the amounts range from $5- $20 Billion per year.
As well I think that AZ’s numbers are on the low side. Keep in mind we have 48 more states that these cost are being spread out too.

      • Al Sieber

Yes I did read it Time, so why are people in such a uproar? I’ve e-mailed our gov. office also.

      • http://?? Joe H.

I have been wondering lately about exactly what you state in your first few sentences and what I wonder the most is could it be that the reason that washington is rasing so much hell is they WANT to turn the public against this and the federal law so they can try to repeal both??

    • Meteorlady

If Obama administration was going to do it they would have already done it. They are afraid to take this on as they know they cannot win without more liberals on the supreme court. That’s why Obama is trying to insight AG’s to take it on and has agreed to send troops to the border – though the amount of troops is really inadequate and doomed to failure.

  • Malary

It’s high time to get a handle on illegal immigration. SB 1070 is not about race but the rule of law. I am just strongly oppose those morons who came to the rally dressed in t-shirts displaying – WHITE PEOPLE PARTY!!! Because of those bigots, Arizona is accused in racial profiling!
However we need to hear your opinion at

Cast your vote – each comment counts.

Forget about the oil spill this is the most important job that needs to be done and a lousy 1200 unarmed extra manpower will not do it. deploy 30,000 armed national guard troops from all states to do the job right. And I believe you should swear in another 40,000 bounty hunters(returning veterans from both wars would have the option to be immedeiatly employed) to weed out these illegals and send them back to mexico(don’t like it there(Mexico) have a revolution like we did 234 years ago and take control, or vote the corrupt politicians out like we will be doing in november). Enough is enough when 12 Americans a day die at the hands of illegals nationwide. Where are the female groups who need to see the amount of rapes that are commited by illegals here. They are not here to give or contribute to this country( hell, they will not even take the time to learn english) they are here to TAKE and get whatever freebie they can qualify for. Time to wake up from this nightmare America before it is too late. NO MATTER HOW MUCH THE MEDIA AND OBAMA ADMINISTRATION SPINS IT NO MATTER HOW MUCH THEY SUGAR COAT IT. SETTLE FOR NO LESS THEN TOTAL DEPORTATION. THIS IS NOT RACIST IT IS JUSTICE. YOU BREAK THE LAW YOU GET FINED OR IMPRISIONED WHAT MAKES THEM ABOVE THE LAW?

  • Scott

I back law and their fight on illegal immigration. Enough is ENOUGH!

  • Max9010

When you are an entrepreneur, you would like that many customer
invest in your company, Don’t you think so?
The same for any corporation owner small or big!
A country is nothing else as a large corporation, any immigrant
who bring money to this country as any investment
like paying the mortgage, the property taxes, insurance etc
to build up his/her life has to invest more than $5000 to $850000
depend how big he will be. So any Investor small like a grape
picker or even larger has no rights? Government decisions of
allowing that in between rightness or corrupt builder, mortgage,
attorneys ore people who life in greed can take advantage of those
who are vulnerable by law. madoff, aig, wallstreet etc.. the
variety is very long. Billions of us dollars in miss use.
And now to throw illegal’s out of the country is theft.
25000000 victims (2007) of crime are in this country
so how many citizen like you are all over the country
are criminals ex convicts. Most republican war keepers with greed
to take the money from those who are vulnerable that is
the idea. The republican finger pointing, who broad this
    country in a financial disaster.
Instead of declaring war to and after the terrorists, with
all spending brought the economy down and Americans who life
undisciplined irresponsible in over valuing there living standards who lost
there homes to be responsible for their depth.

And now take everything away from Immigrants or Aliens ?
    What a lovely country.
Oh, no right to return the food in the restaurant or criticize
the chef or his Kitchen. How low leveled can the people be

    • JeffH

I must point out that Max9010 posts are addressing immigrants, not illegal immigrants.

      Impacts of Illegal Immigration: Jobs
The MSM report ad nauseam that illegal aliens are only “doing work that Americans won’t.” This mantra is mercilessly bandied about by illegal immigration supporters and echoes throughout the halls of Congress and the White House whenever the topic comes up. What is never mentioned, however, is that the illegal aliens are artificially depressing compensation and that illegal aliens are the only ones who will do the work at such low wages. In actual fact, illegal immigration distorts the law of supply and demand in a capitalistic society. Additionally it is grossly hypocritical to want to raise the minimum wage on one hand while the other hand winks at illegal aliens working at far below prevailing wages.

      • Meteorlady

        Thanks Jeff – I couldn’t agree more.

In my area they are doing brick laying, roofing, foundations, rock work, landscaping, yard care and other jobs that used to pay more. My lawn person (an American citizen and veteran) has been giving estimates only to find that they illegals are giving way lower estimates. By the time he pays his taxes, SS and Medicare, plus state sales taxes, he can’t work for that as he has a net loss. Meanwhile the illegal is working for cash and collecting welfare and food stamps for his family.

    • Meteorlady

Max I suggest you do the following:

When you go home tonight, take all the doors and locks off your house. Allow
anyone who desires a better life to enter your home at will. You are
forbidden to ask where they are from, how long they plan on staying, or what
they are going to do while they’re in your home. You are not allowed to
determine if they have a criminal record in their home country.

You may never ask to see any form of identification, as that would be racial
profiling. While they are in your home you will be financially responsible
for them. You will pay for their food, health care, and education.

Should anyone happen to give birth while in your home you will be
financially responsible for that child for its entire life, even if the
parents were only in your home for a few days. Of course, while they live in
your home, the ones who work will send a majority of their money back to
their own country. I could go on, but you get the picture.

The U.S.A. is our home. Should we leave it wide open or should we open the
doors only after we find out who’s knocking?

      Rod Edwards.

One of the biggest lies told about the Illegal Mexican situation is PROFILING. I have never seen anyone say this.
Do you even know what a Mexican looks like? Obama must think the women all have long flowery dresses, and the men Moustaches and Sombreos, so anyone like that is Mexican, and will be PROFILED!
That’s so far from the truth, it’s not funny! Some Mexicans can’t be told from any other white race, and some Mexican women have lighter skin, Blonde hair, and blue eyes. Some Mexicans are so dark as to look African, some look almost Orenintal. Based on that, profiling wouldn’t be that easy.
However, who gives a crap. If they are here legally, they carry the same ID we all have. After a few minutes, they would be on their way.
And since when did profiling get to be a life threatening thing?

    • Meteorlady

Actually – in Texas you can tell a lot of the newly arrived illegals because of what they wear, their language proficiency, and what they are driving. You can call this “profiling” or not, but to me it’s a means to get started on checking legal status in this country. I have yard work done because I have to when I leave for the summer and I can tell you the person I hire is a dessert storm vet and reliable. They Mexican I hired last year wanted me to send checks to his cousin in town – I fire him soon thereafter. I also called ICE and was told that they didn’t just come after one or two people, they wanted to get groups of them. I suppose for the news effect…

MYTH: Immigrants are a drain on our social services.
FACT: By paying taxes and Social Security, immigrants contribute far more to government coffers than they use in social services.
In its landmark report published in 1997—arguably the most thorough national study to date of immigration’s fiscal impacts—the National Research Council (NRC) of the National Academy of Sciences concluded that on average, immigrants generate public revenue that exceeds their public costs over time—approximately $80,000 more in taxes than they receive in state, federal and local benefits over their life times.1 This same conclusion was reached in 2007 by the Council of Economic Advisers in their report to the Executive Office of the President where they state that “the long-run impact of immigration on public budgets is likely to be positive,” and agree with the NRC report’s view that “only a forward-looking projection of taxes and government spending can offer an accurate picture of the long-run fiscal consequences of admitting new immigrants.”2

Indeed, most non-citizens are not even eligible for the majority of welfare programs unless they are legal permanent residents and have resided in the United States legally for at least five years. This includes benefits such as Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), SSI, Medicaid, and the State Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP).

Moreover, according to government reports, noncitizens are much less likely than citizens to use the benefits for which they are eligible. For example, immigrants, especially the undocumented, tend to use medical services much less than the average American.3 In fact, the average immigrant uses less than half the dollar amount of health care services as the average native-born citizen.4 Moreover, the claim that immigrants account for high rates of emergency room (ER) visits is refuted by research; in fact, communities with high rates of ER usage tend to have relatively small percentages of immigrant residents.

Likewise, according to Department of Agriculture reports, noncitizens who are eligible for food stamps are significantly less likely to use them than are all other individuals who are eligible for the program. For example, about 45 percent of eligible noncitizens received food stamps in 2002, compared to almost 60 percent of eligible individuals overall.5

Most of the fiscal impact from immigration is felt at the state and local levels. The Council of Economic Advisors points out in its report to the Executive Office of the President that “the positive fiscal impact tends to accrue at the federal level, but the net costs tend to be concentrated at the state and local level,” which bear primary responsibility for providing not only health care but education.6

    • EA Hughes

OK. So who is lying here? All the estimates printed in the papers, all the TV News, and everyone else who says on TV what a huge expense the Illegals are to the States?
This is the first time I’ve seen such a rosy picture of Illegals being here, and would assume you are in favor of all Illegals breaking into our Country. Illegals I’m sure aren’t paying taxes, except for purchases. As for Social Security being paid, you’d have to assume they have a “legal” job. Some companies do ask for proper ID before they hire, so Illegals often have to take “under the table” jobs, and don’t contribute. You source sounds like a “Liberal Do Gooder” type thing, and after hearing nothing but comments that Illegals DO get free health care, which we pay for, I’d have to discount what you posted.

do you even know the difference between LEGAL and illegal immigrants??? I don’t think so, Amigo! Illegal immigrants cost us hundreds of billions of dollars per year in health care, services, welfare, and ADC!! It was estimated the other day that even if the illegals got a jobabove board and paying their fair share of taxes, because of their lower level of education they would still recieve about twenty thousand in tax payor supported services than they pay!!!
        ES VERDAD!!!!

        • chelo

am i going to be able to post my comments on this site, seems like this site is ran by morons.

          • Cindy

I don’t know chelo. Can you see this post you made? It’s not such a good idea to call the site operators morons.
Are you one who normally bites the hand that feeds you?

          • Claire

chelo–you are here, aren’t you?? Or do you know even where you are? So this makes you a moron too, especially if you think this site is ran by morons. Get lost. Whoops, you are already lost. In more ways than one.

          • libertytrain

Claire – shouldn’t she have said “run by morons” – I could not make sense of what she was saying or why she was saying it – did she think she was on a more leftist site?

          • Claire

libertytrain–I re-read her post. I don’t know. The impression I got was that she thought this site was “run” by morons. But maybe she meant us instead? Who knows. Anyway, I gave a sarcastic answer. Maybe I should have behaved myself and gave her the benefit of the doubt.

          • libertytrain

Claire – I meant her grammar or sentence structure – she said “ran” by morons. I think it was incorrect usage of “ran” – I was being silly.

          • Claire

libertytrain–that went right past me! I wasn’t even thinking about sentence structure. Just thinking about the word “moron.”

Myth – Once the immigrant gets to SS states or collects disability they cost the American taxpayer $17,450 per year more than the US citizen who worked their entire lives and paid into the system.

Still, according to recent studies from a number of cities and states—including the states of Arizona, Texas, Minnesota, California, New York, North Carolina and Arkansas, and cities or counties of Chicago and Santa Clara—while the cost of educating the children of immigrants may be high, the overall economic benefits of immigrants to the states remain positive.7 A University of Illinois study found that undocumented immigrants in the Chicago metropolitan area alone spent $2.89 billion in 2001, stimulating an additional $5.45 billion in total local spending and sustaining 31,908 jobs in the local economy.8

The Udall Center at the University of Arizona found that the fiscal costs of immigrants, starting with education, totaled $1.41 billion in 2004, which, balanced against $1.64 billion in state tax revenue attributable to immigrants as workers, resulted in a fiscal gain of $222.6 million.9 Similarly, in its Special Report about undocumented immigrants in Texas, the Comptroller of Public Accounts found that in 2005, even counting the costs associated with education, “the state revenues collected from undocumented immigrants exceed what the state spent on services, with the difference being $424.7 million.”10

MYTH: Immigrants have a negative impact on the economy and the wages of citizens and take jobs away from citizens.
FACT: Immigration has a positive effect on the American economy as a whole and on the income of native-born workers.
In June 2007, the President’s Council of Economic Advisers (CEA) issued a report on “Immigration’s Economic Impact.” Based on a thorough review of the literature, the Council concluded that “immigrants not only help fuel the Nation’s economic growth, but also have an overall positive effect on the American economy as a whole and on the income of native-born American workers.”11 Among the report’s key findings were that, on average, U.S. natives benefit from immigration in that immigrants tend to complement natives, not substitute for them.

Immigrants have different skills, which allow higher-skilled native workers to increase productivity and thus increase their incomes. Also, as the native-born U.S. population becomes older and better educated, young immigrant workers fill gaps in the low-skilled labor markets.12

Your facts are all from 5 years ago when jobs were available for the citizens. Now with unemployment so high illegals ARE taking jobs from citizens who wish to work. Unless you live in Arizona you cannot fully understand the impact the illegals have on your daily life. In my area the middle school my children attended is now banished by all ethnic groups because it is almost 100% hispanic. This is spreading quickly to the elementary schools. Our children are suffering. While some claim giving them an education is good, by high school these children who have taken a good education away from the citizens have since dropped out of high school. Those in the country illegal broke the law. If they work and paid in taxes they broke the law – identity theft – as only legal immigrants and citizens can obtain social security numbers. Legal immigration is good. Illegal immigration is destroying the country.

      • JeffH

Michelle, you’ll notice that there is no mention of “illegals”.

    • Meteorlady

Nuts – just nuts. They cost $200 billion dollars a year in suppressed American wages – that was according to a CNN article which has since been removed from the web. Hmmmmmm, wonder why?

    • Steve

Yeah we believe you. We also believe everything Al Gore, slick willie Clinton, and obama tells us too……. oh and then there’s Rosie O’Donnell… We believe everything that comes outta her pie hole. Why wouldn’t we believe you too?

  • Max9010

With respect to wages, in a 1997 study, the National Research Council estimated the annual wage gain due to immigration for U.S. workers to be $10 billion each year13 in 2007 CEA estimated the gain at over $30 billion per year.14 The CEA acknowledges that an increase in immigrant workers is likely to have some negative impact on the wages of low-skilled native workers, but they found this impact to be relatively small and went on to conclude that reducing immigration “would be a poorly-targeted and inefficient way to assist low-wage Americans.”15

In addition to having an overall positive affect on the average wages of American workers, an increase in immigrant workers also tends to increase employment rates among the native-born. According to a Pew Hispanic Center study, between 2000 and 2004 “there was a positive correlation between the increase in the foreign-born population and the employment of native-born workers in 27 states and the District of Columbia.” These states included all the major destination states for immigrants and together they accounted for 67% of all native-born workers.16 California, for example, saw an increase in wages of natives by about four percent from 1990 to 2004—a period of large influx of immigrants to the state—due to the complimentary skills of immigrant workers and an increase in the demand for tasks performed by native workers.17

MYTH: Immigrants—particularly Latino immigrants—don’t want to learn English.
FACT: Immigrants, including Latino immigrants, believe they need to learn English in order to succeed in the United States, and the majority uses at least some English at work.
Throughout our country’s history, critics of immigration have accused new immigrants of refusing to learn English and to otherwise assimilate. These charges are no truer today than they were then. As with prior waves of immigrants, there is a marked increase in English-language skills from one immigrant generation to the next.18 In the first ever major longitudinal study of the children of immigrants, in 1992 Rambaut and Portes found that “the pattern of linguistic assimilation prevails across nationalities.” The authors go on to report that “the linguistic outcomes for the third generation—the grandchildren of the present wave of immigrants—will be little different than what has been the age-old pattern in American immigration history.”19

While many first-generation Latino immigrants are unable to speak English, 88 percent of their U.S.-born adult children report that they speak English very well.20 And studies show that the number rises dramatically for each subsequent generation. Furthermore, similar to other immigrants, Latinos believe that they need to learn English in order to succeed in the United States, and believe they will be discriminated against if they don’t.21 Most Latino immigrants (67%) report that they use at least some English at work.22

California’s second-generation immigrants experience a large drop in “low levels of English proficiency” compared to first generation immigrants, from 27% to 6%, and the proportion of immigrants with high levels of English proficiency rises from 49% in the first generation to 79% in the second generation. The proportion of both Asian and Latino immigrants, who speak English exclusively rises from 10% in the first generation to 29% in the second and 94% in the third.23

Notwithstanding the current levels of English language acquisition for the newest wave of immigrants, there is a demand for English language classes that far exceeds the supply and which, if met, would greatly advance immigrants’ integration into American social and cultural life.

MYTH: Immigrants don’t want to become citizens.
FACT: Many immigrants to the United States seek citizenship, even in the face of difficult requirements and huge backlogs that can delay the process for years.
Most immigrants are ineligible to apply for citizenship until they have resided in the U.S. with lawful permanent resident status for five years, have passed background checks, have shown that they have paid their taxes, are of “good moral character, demonstrate knowledge of U.S. history and civics, and have the ability to understand, speak and write English.” In addition, people applying for naturalization have to pay a fee, which increased by 69% in 2007 from $400 to $675, making it much harder for low-income immigrants to reach their dream of becoming Americans.24

    • http://?? Joe H.

Good, let them come here LEGALLY and I will welcome them with open arms! Why should ANY illegal immigrant get the same benefits that an immigrant that went through all the proper channels and procedures to get here??? I’m talking Mexican as well as the estimated 20,000 illegals from Ireland! Illegal is just that, illegal!

  • Max9010

Despite these barriers, The Pew Hispanic Center’s report on U.S. Census data shows that the proportion of eligible immigrants who have acquired citizenship rose to 52% in 2005, “the highest level in a quarter of a century.”15 In the 2007 fiscal year, DHS received 1.4 million citizenship applications—nearly double from last fiscal year 26—and between June and July of 2007, naturalization applications increased 350% compared to last year.27 In his testimony to Congress, US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Director, Emilio Gonzalez, referred to this increase as “unprecedented in the history of immigration services in our nation.”28

Yet, despite the promise by USCIS that backlogs would be eliminated, applications for naturalization can take a year and half to adjudicate and of the 1.4 applications it received in 2007, less than 660,000 have been decided.29

    MYTH: Immigrants don’t pay taxes.
FACT: Almost all immigrants pay income taxes even though they can’t benefit from most federal and state local assistance programs and all immigrants pay sales and property taxes.
According to the 2005 Economic Report of the President, “more than half of all undocumented immigrants are believed to be working ‘on the books’…[and]… contribute to the tax rolls but are ineligible for almost all Federal public assistance programs and most major Federal-state programs.” According to the report, undocumented immigrants also “contribute money to public coffers by paying sales and property taxes (the latter are implicit in apartment rentals).”30

All immigrants (legal and undocumented) pay the same real estate taxes and the same sales and other consumption taxes as everyone else. The University of Illinois at Chicago found in 2002 that undocumented immigrants in the Chicago metro area spent $2.89 billion annually from their earnings and these expenditures generated $2.56 billion additional spending for the local economy.31

Legal immigrants pay income taxes and indeed many undocumented immigrants also pay income taxes or have taxes automatically withheld from their paychecks—even though they are unable to claim a tax refund, Social Security benefits or other welfare benefits that these taxes support. In the Chicago metro area for example, approximately seventy percent of undocumented workers paid payroll taxes, according to the University of Illinois study from 2002.32 In the Washington Metro Region, immigrants paid the same share of the region’s overall taxes (18 percent) as the rest of the population (17.4 percent), according to a 2006 Urban Institute study.33 This study also points to the fact that immigrants’ tax payments support both local and state services in addition to the federal government.

The Social Security Administration (SSA) holds that undocumented immigrants “account for a major portion” of the billions of dollars paid into the Social Security system—an estimated $520 billion as of October 2005.34 The SSA keeps a file called the “earnings suspense file” on all earnings with incorrect or fictitious Social Security numbers and the SSA’s chief actuary stated in 2005 that “three quarters of other-than-legal immigrants pay payroll taxes.”35 Their figures show that the suspense file is growing by more than $50 billion a year, generating $6 to 7 billion in Social Security tax revenue and about $1.5 billion in Medicare taxes.

MYTH: Immigrants send all their money back to their home countries instead of spending money here.
FACT: Immigrants do send money to family members, making it possible for more people to stay in their home countries rather than migrating to the United States. Importantly, sending remittances home does not keep immigrants from spending money in the United States.
It’s true that remittances are the biggest sources of foreign currency for most Latin American countries and surpass any amount of foreign aid sent by the U.S. The money sent by immigrants to their family members allows many people to stay in their home countries who might otherwise feel compelled to migrate to the U.S.

    • Steve

Your unsubstantiated & irrelevant factoids are putting me to zzzzzzzleep.
Read the title of this page. It is about “ILLEGAL” aliens…

  • Max9010

And while 51 percent of Latino immigrants send remittances home,36 they are spending their money in the United States as well. In fact, a 1998 study found that immigrants become net economic contributors after 10 to 15 years in the U.S.37

In addition to paying taxes and Social Security, immigrants spend money on goods and services in the United States. A study of Latino immigrants in California found significant gains in home ownership between those who had been in this country for ten years (16.4 percent are homeowners) and those who had been here for over thirty years (64.6 percent).38 Furthermore, a 2002 Harvard University study of U.S. Census data found that there were more than 5.7 million foreign- born homeowners in the United States.39 The study found that foreign-born new homeowners are buying their homes by saving more than native-born homebuyers and stretching their incomes more.

While homeownership nationally was approximately 69% in 2006, it was 60% for Asians and 50% for Latinos—each group with large immigrant populations and therefore greater impediments to obtaining bank loans.40 Although homeownership is largely correlated with legal status in the U.S., undocumented immigrants are also buying into the “American Dream” of homeownership in some of the most expensive housing markets in the country.41

MYTH: Immigrants bring crime to our cities and towns.
FACT: Immigrants are actually far less likely to commit crimes than their native-born counterparts. Even as the undocumented population has increased in the United States, crime rates have decreased significantly.
According to a 2000 report prepared for the U.S. Department of Justice, immigrants maintain low crime rates even when faced with adverse social conditions such as low income and low levels of education.42

Although incarceration rates are highest among young low-income men and many immigrants arriving in the U.S. are young men with low levels of education, incarceration rates among young men are invariably lower for immigrants than for their native-born counterparts. This is true across every ethnic group but the differences are especially noticeable among Mexicans, Salvadorans and Guatemalans, who constitute the majority of undocumented immigrants in the United States. Even in cities with the largest immigrant populations, such as New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Miami, violent and non-violent crime rates have continued to decline.43

Even after taking into account higher deportation rates since the mid 1990′s, and reviewing the 1980 and 1990 censuses, the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) ascertained that, “18-40 year-old male immigrants have lower institutionalization rates than the native born each year…and by 2000, immigrants have institutionalization rates that are one-fifth those of the native born.”44 In fact, according to the NBAR study, the newly arrived immigrants are particularly unlikely to be involved in crime.

Cities like Hazleton, Pennsylvania have tried to blame a new wave of immigrants for a supposed rise in crime. Yet, Hazleton’s own crime statistics taken from the Pennsylvania State Police show that overall crime in the city has decreased and is now less than half of the national average.45

MYTH: Most immigrants are undocumented and have crossed the border illegally.
FACT: Two thirds of immigrants are here lawfully—either as naturalized citizens or in some other lawful status. Moreover, almost half of all undocumented immigrants entered the United States legally.
According to the Pew Hispanic Center, one third of all immigrants are undocumented, one third have some form of legal status and one third are naturalized citizens. This applies to immigrants from Latin America as well as others.46

Almost half of all undocumented immigrants entered the United States on visas that allowed them to reside here temporarily—either as tourists, students, or temporary workers. This means they were subject to inspection by immigration officials before entering the country,47 and became undocumented only when their visas expired and they didn’t leave the country.

MYTH: Weak border enforcement has led to high rates of undocumented immigration. We should increase enforcement and build a wall around our border.
FACT: Increased border security and the construction of border fences have done little to curb the flow of immigrants across the United States border. Instead, these policies have only succeeded in pushing border crossers into dangerous and less-patrolled regions, and increased the undocumented population by creating an incentive for immigrants not to leave.

    • Meteorlady

You rant is totally one sided and obviously biased. I worked at Immigration for approximately 5 years. I also worked doing research for the Center for Immigration Control. Your figures are not complete. These people costs us far far more than then contribute. Our wage scales has decreased for citizens, our prisons in California are made up of 30% illegals and another 20% Mexican immigrants (and that’s just California). We school illegals and legal immigrants in their own languages because they so disrespect the opportunities provided to them they are too lazy to learn our language. They take away education dollars from our schools when doing this. They flood our hospital emergency rooms for free medical care. My mother was rerouted across town via ambulance (a true emergency) because her hospital emergency room just two miles away was full – she almost didn’t make it. When my brother went to the emergency room two miles away, he found it filled with Mexican gang bangers that had been in a knife fight and needed stitches.

They steal our identities, smuggle drugs, run grow operations on private property, murder ranchers on their own property, steal from us, their drug wars are making our border cities too dangerous to go to, and they generally are not the type of citizens and workers we need in this country. They DO NOT take jobs Americans don’t want – they are working in my area in construction trades and the wages here have gone down to nothing for those jobs. They run their own businesses for cash such as remodeling, lawn service, landscaping, irrigation, brick and rock work, foundations, etc.

so where you got your “facts” I’m not sure, but you need to do some further research and post the ENTIRE story next time you feel a need to be important.

  • Max9010

Building a wall along the entire 2000-mile southern U.S. border would be prohibitively expensive. According to a study by the Cato Institute, rather than acting as a deterrent to those attempting to cross the border, increased enforcement has only succeeded in pushing immigration flows into more remote, less patrolled regions, resulting in a tripling of the death rate at the border and decreased apprehensions, and creating a dramatic increase in taxpayer money spent on making arrests along the border (from $300 per arrest in 1992 to $1,200 per arrest in 2002).48

Furthermore, increased border enforcement has actually increased the number of undocumented immigrants in the U.S. at any one time. The increased risk and cost to immigrants of crossing the border has resulted in fewer undocumented immigrants returning to their home countries for periods of time as part of the decades-long circular migration patterns that characterize undocumented immigration from Mexico up until the 1990s. Instead, immigrants stay in the United States for longer periods of time, often choosing to immigrate their families to avoid longer periods of separation.49

The Secure Fence Act of 2006 directed the Department of Homeland Security to construct 850 miles of additional border fencing. According to a report by Congressional Research Services, the San Diego fence, combined with increased border patrol agents in the area, succeeded in decreasing border crossing in that region, but at the same time there is considerable evidence that the flow of illegal immigration has shifted to the more remote areas of the Arizona desert, decreasing the number of apprehensions and increasing the cost.50

Yes – the All American Canal is an example of border security. Not one single American citizen has died in that canal. There are signs posted EVERYWHERE that say it is unsafe. Yet, illegals jump in and try and swim across. I have no sympathy for them because they are stupidly putting their lives in danger to perform a illegal act against my country. Of course all the “do gooders” are crying that they should put some type of safety equipment so they can be saved – at a cost to State and US Taxpayers. If the Mexican government is so concerned about this – why don’t they put in the safety measures? Or hey, better yet, why not just institute a ferry to take them across and drop them nicely on the US side?

    • http://?? Joe H.

The fence and wall wouldn’t be cost prohibitive, its a matter of materials only. for each and every illegal caught, jail them in a tent jail like Sheriff Joe Arapaio runs and place them along the border. Let the illegals caught, and they would number in the thousands daily, build it! Once the illegals have spent their time, send them back to Mexico or where ever they came from! Labor costs are solved!

@Max9010 – This article was not talking about immigrants. It was talking about illegal aliens.

I agree that there are numerous studies which show the net benefits of immigration and I don’t doubt that there is considerable truth in them. But conflating immigration with illegal aliens is a deliberate deception and most of us see right through it. Immigration and illegal immigration are too very different things.

Many legal immigrants are highly educated and able to command either high wages or start prosperous businesses. They do indeed contribute to the Treasury and to a prosperous America.

But roughly 65% of illegal aliens lack anything even close to a high school education. Poorly educated people seldom thrive in our economy. They cost us a lot now because through their anchor babies and their use of fake and stolen identities they are drawing heavily on the social welfare system. If they are made legal, the vast majority of them will join and swell the ranks of the 40% of Americans who pay no Federal Income Taxes and they will be eligible for the full buffet of social welfare benefits at great cost to the few Americans who still actually pay taxes. When you import massive amounts of poverty you end up with poverty! And poverty spawns poverty. Ignorant parents raise ignorant children.

If you want evidence of this newly imported poverty and the resulting poverty, you don’t need any particular academic study. All you need to do is look at Los Angelos. It is basically insolvent, crime and gang infested, and its schools have disintegrated from what were the pride of the nation 30 years ago to about the worst in the country. It is the poster child for the reasons to crack down on illegal immigration and any academic study that tries to put a smiley face on this train wreck is not worth the paper it is printed on or the tax dollars that were wasted printing an obvious lie.

What you are calling myths are actually truths. The Study by FAIR is well documented and supports what any thinking taxpayer can see with their own eyes.

If you want to know what the democrat traitors are now up to – they are proposing amnesty for illegals, but it is even worse. Making any illegal that has been in the US citizenship and prohibits reporting any illegal to the FBI. Yes, any known terrorist that the US might be looking for could apply for citizenship and be granted citizenship and it prohibits reporting these terrorists to the FBI! It requires consulting with Mexico before a fence can be constructed on US soil. These traitors are giving away the United States!
Here is the link to the report:

  • JeffH

…adding to the cost of illegals onto Arizona, let’s not forget that my state, California is faced with the largest costs,$10.5 billion/yr.

    Dateline: December, 2004
In hosting America’s largest population of illegal immigrants, California bears a huge cost to provide basic human services for this fast growing, low-income segment of its population. A new study from the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) examines the costs of education, health care and incarceration of illegal aliens, and concludes that the costs to Californians is $10.5 billion per year.

Among the key finding of the report are that the state’s already struggling K-12 education system spends approximately $7.7 billion a year to school the children of illegal aliens who now constitute 15 percent of the student body. Another $1.4 billion of the taxpayers’ money goes toward providing health care to illegal aliens and their families, the same amount that is spent incarcerating illegal aliens criminals

    • Meteorlady

Yes – so what does California do? They cut fire, police and educators. They go crying to the Federal Government that they are broke and need a “bailout”. Lets protect illegals/criminals and punish the private legal citizens in the state.

I for one now boycott California until they do something about this problem. I will not enter the state, drive through it or stay there for any reason. I’m planning a trip to Arizona for golf shortly and plan on stopping again in Arizona is the fall.

Meteorlady, I cannot blame you at all. I make most of my non-food purchases on line because of California’s outrageous sales tax…just under 10%.
I attended a Tea Party gathering with Carly Fiorina…who is proving her conservative worth to California voters and may be the only candidate capable of ousting Boxer’s 28 year reign of liberal terror on California. She held an impromptu questin and answer session, did not duck one question and answered them all directly and I was quite impressed with her strong credentials and endorsements by the highly respected and one of the strongest conservative Congressman in Californis, Devin Nunes. She has recieved national endoresments from Sarah Palin and Condoleezza Rice along with many others.

Fill me in on the Governors race. They both are claiming they are for closing the border, and NO AMNESTY, but they also both say the other is lying, so what’s the story?

          • JeffH

I’ve voted for Meg Whitman, Poizners another “Blue Dog Rino” and has sided too many times with the liberal Dems in California on too many issues. Meg Whitman has stated and posted on her website that she opposes illegal immigration and amnesty…read Poizner’s website, amnesty is never mentioned, that’s political doublespeak and Poizner’s a career politician.

Carly Fiorina is also an endorsed NRA member, cute as a whip and a straight shooter.

          • Steve

Ok thanks Jeff. I had heard 3 or 4 of Meg Whitmans ads first and thought she’s the best, but then I saw a couple of Poizners and he said he was a NO Amnesty guy and Meg Whitman wasn’t so I just didn’t know what to believe. I agree with you about Carly Fiorina, except she is waaaay cuter than a whip. I would be so much happier seeing her face on tv after being subjected to Barbara Boxers mug for 20+ years. Carly being an NRA member is just icing on the cake. I hope she and Meg both win. I live in such a f…ed up liberal state, that Calis races are more interesting for me to watch now. Pretty sad huh?

        • Meteorlady

Sorry – didn’t mean to offend any legal California people it’s just they way I feel. I hope and pray that Boxter will disappear from the government forever this time around.

          • JeffH

Meteorlady, not to worry. Heck, a lot of californians feel the same way.

  • DAVE PHILLIPS in Parowan, UT

“THE COSTS of ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION” and “guest worker” seasonal farm labor must CALCULATE FAR MORE THAN MERELY the drains on local budgets!

In the Central Valley (San Joaquin) of CA, during 2009 – The McClatchy News Service did an extensive investigative report on money FLOWING SOUTH – OUT OF CA ECONOMIES – TO FAMILY MEMBERS LIVING OUTSIDE CA!

Sources used included: US Postal Money Order, local Mexican-owned banks & credit unions as well as “other electronic means” to transmit money!

IN JUST ONE COUNTY – Tulare – fully $5 BILLION in U. S. funds headed SOUTH, DURING ONE less than(!) 10-months working year.

Further, Tulare County Public Schools accommodated the seasonal home- bound migrations of farm workers — closing public schools well before Thanksgiving and re- opening well after / into mid-January, the following year!

SUCH “benefits” were NOT ACCORDED public school teachers NOR government workers, servicing those entitlements!

SOME OF THE LIBERAL POLITICAL PERSUASION CALL THIS “equal opportunity” (sic.) OR even “affirmative action” (sic.) –

    - – when IT CLEARLY IS NEITHER, IMHO!!!!!

THEN “guest workers” were given “special arrangements” — courtesy the United Farm Workers Union — allowing “early filings” and instant CASH REFUNDS [which also headed SOUTH = BUT not into the local NOR state of CA economies] for those same farm laborers via their US and CA taxe filings for personal income declared on that year!

    • JeffH

DAVE PHILLIPS in Parowan, UT…living in Fresno, California’s central valley, I am able to see daily the positive and negative influences and the crime that comes with illegals. Crime is the #1 major affect that illegals bring in to the country and the major reason is the drug trade, crystal meth.

How can I help AZ. The evil Governments propaganda only works on the dumb!! It’s a law in the Fed’s own law book but are not doing anything about it. AZ had to do something and it IS a fair law. The lies will only be true to the ignorant or stupid. GO AZ!!!!! Stey strong!

    • Meteorlady

Go to AZ on vacation and spend money. Also I heard that there a resolution before the house by a NY congressman that would try and get Major League Baseball to move the All Star game from AZ because of their stance. Write MLB and let them know you support the game being played in AZ and will not support it if it’s moved to another state.

Illegal immigration is a CAUSE and EFFECT situation.

Too many people want to deal with the effect and ignore the cause. If all you treat is the effect you will never solve the problem.

The cause can be eliminated easily:

    1. Require all businesses to use E-Verify to ensure their employees are legal workers.

    2. Require proof of citizenship for any welfare type be it housing, food, etc.

    3. Pass HR 1848 in congress that would require at least one person be a citizen of the USA for a baby born here to be deemed a US citizen.

If you do the above the large majority of illegal aliens will self deport when they can no longer take advantage of the system.

    4. Build the fence as was originally proposed being double lined.

    5. Get a private company to setup VISIT USA to deal with people that overstay their visas and are 40% of the illegal alien population. We need a private company, like FEDEX or UPS to do it becasue the US bureaucrats have spent 15 years and still haven’t got it right. The private companies have software programs that could solve the problem in a few weeks.

  • JeffH

I suggest this website to get an idea of the illegal problem in the US

The Dark Side Of Illegal Immigration
Facts, Figures And Statistics On Illegal Immigration

As detailed in Importing Poverty: Immigration and Poverty in the United States: A Book of Charts the bottom line is that illegal immigration brings in a tremendous number of poor, unskilled, and uneducated people along with all their inherent problems.

As noted in a KGTV report, Illegal Immigration Could Cost Taxpayers Trillions, “The influx of illegal immigrants has effectively “imported about 10 million high school dropouts into the United States,” said Robert Rector, a senior research fellow in welfare and family issues for the Washington, D.C.-based think tank.”

While a smaller percentage than most countries, the US has our own resident poor and uneducated to take care of and, as rich as the country is, we simply can not support all the poor and uneducated who want to come here.

One can understand why Mexicans, the largest component of illegal aliens, come to the U.S. In Mexico, they are typically paid only $5.00 per day for their labor. When wages for Mexican workers rise, the peso is conveniently devalued to keep Mexico competitive with foreign countries like China and India. The owners of Mexican businesses often keep their money in dollars in American banks and escape the devaluation of their currency. Between that and the thoroughly incompetent government, the common people are forever doomed to poverty. Without a revolution in Mexico, America is their only hope. Unfortunately, the results of revolutions in countries to our south generally are not good.

However, just being poor or wanting to come here is not a valid reason to violate the national sovereignty of the United States. If so, most of the world would be here. While we already devote considerable resources to our resident poor, the USA does not have the resources for all the world’s poor.

However, regardless of the economic costs, how can you put a cost on the Americans being molested, raped, killed, and murdered by illegal aliens?

mex9010 is so full of sewage, illegals don’t pay taxes, they work under the table, they use fake social security number, if at all, The little tax, doesn’t even cover the medical sosts of foaling their bastard spawn, who picks up the tab, the county government, every county in the nation has a story to tell, of paying the complete bill, as the illegals never pay any thing and slip away. If the Onumnuts and the State Department would require Mexico to refund us at least 100 barrels of oil, for each wetback we apprehend, the apprehention rate would surely climb. Of course Oily Omoron would try to sponge up a lettle something extra, since he sold and used white powder. 9010, we all know you are a socialist liberal democrat, just repeating the National Socialist Democrat Party lines. Legal immigration is good for the country if, the immigrant has a skill, that is needed, they aren’t sick, know English, and aren’t crimminals. But illegals are crimminal right off the bat, by fence crawling, drawing benefits they do not deserve, and never pay for! All implemented by pus brained socialist democratsa like you 9010. If you like illegals head on down to Mexico, if you think it ok and such a peachy place. If it isn’t, then go help the poor smucks create a better socialist society down there, they need hope and change down there, it sure isn’t working up here worth squat, so get the hell out. Your government checks can be mailed to you down there.

    Impacts of Illegal Immigration: Diseases…
Legal immigrants are required to have medical screening to ensure that they do not bring any contagious diseases into the United States. Illegal aliens are not screened and many are carrying horrific third world diseases that do not belong in the USA. Many of these diseases are highly contagious and will infect citizens that come in contact with an infected illegal alien. This has already happened in restaurants, schools, and police forces.

HIV, Chagas Disease, Tuberculosis, Hepatitis A-E, Leprosy, Dengue and Malaria which was eradicated from the USA in the 1940s but recently there were outbreaks in southern California, New Jersey, New York City, and Houston. Additionally, Malaria tainted blood has been discovered in the blood supply.

As recently reported in Hepatitis Risk for East Asians in New York, among east Asian immigrants in New York City, one person in seven carries the Hepatitis B virus and that researchers at New York Univ. School of Medicine, found that 15% of east Asians in New York – as many as 100,000 people – are chronic hepatitis carriers, with the rate highest among immigrants from China. That infection rate is 35 times the rate found in the general population. The article did not mention how many of the infected people were illegal aliens but odds are the vast majority were.

Then there is Schistosomiasis, Guinea Worm Infection, Whooping cough, Cysticercosis, Morgellon’s, and a host of others.

    • http://?? Joe H.

What ever happened to the law that states that a criminal guilty of a federal crime may not profit from their crime? The illegals are commiting a federal crime by a) crossing the border and b) illegally working in this country. Why do they let them sue the employer to profit by their crime? Tell them to Go To He!! and fine the employer enough to convince him/her not to do it again!!

  • Meteorlady

I personally could care less of it’s racial profiling. I have to show ID if I’m stopped and that’s not racial profiling. Most have forged documents anyway so most will get away for the time being.

Having worked at Immigration Service for a number of years I can tell you beyond a doubt that these people know exactly what they are doing when they come here illegals. There are networks to help them, give them false documentation and hide them. There are all the do gooders that seem to think these people have rights more than citizens of this country so they set up sanctuary cities for them.

$11 to $22 billion spent on welfare by state governments
$2.2 billion on food stamps, WIC, free school lunches.
    $2.5 billion on medicaid.
$12 billion on primary and secondary school education for non-English speaking children here illegally.
$17 billion for education for anchor babies.
$3 billion PER DAY to incarcerate illegals
$90 billion spent by the Federal Government for welfare and social services
$200 billion dollars a year in suppressed AMERICAN WAGES

ILLEGALS have a crime rate that is 2-1/2 times that of white non-legals and their children are coming up to inflate that further.

During 2005 there were 4 to 10 MILLION ILLEGALS that crossed our southern borders – of those 19,500 were from terrorist countries. There were millions of pounds of drugs, cocaine, meth, heroin, and marijuana brought into our country – this is all a part of the Homeland Security report.

In just 2006 $45 BILLION is US Dollars was sent to their countries of origin.

For all you liberals that cry about the war – these people cost us more in ONE YEAR THAN both wars have cost us since inception.

as long as our PRESIDENTS don’t act and react to this immense problem that we have in the state of Az..the IMMENSE PROBLEM will go on and on…the people of Mejico keep singing “we own this state, we were cut off, we were here first etc…” seem convinently to forget that we baught the 3/4 states from them and paid them handsomly….enough of their miserable song.. “this is aztlan and we own it”.

I agree Jeff H.! to do nothing about the situation would be worse then bitching about it. We the people, need to stand up, be counted and do the right thing. Stopping the Liberal Socialist attitude toward Government is needed. Illegal is simply Illegal in any language. Right is right and wrong is wrong. “Stand for something or fall for anything”.
Peacefull revolution to right wrongs would be best for our country.
    But how to cure the bleeding heart liberals brain chemistry is beyond me. They clearly exibit signs of drinking the kool aid that has been dished out since Premier Nikita K. told us that Communism would bury us and that we ( America) would be taken over without them firing a shot has come to pass. So I’m thinking that;
    To simply eliminate the present Government and all that it has created and take us back to Government prior to 1940 might be desireable. On another note;
Sheriff Joe Arpio has taken it upon himself to eliminate the bleeding heart socialist attitude of how to treat incarcerated prisoners. I applaude his methods and the results.

All the United States has to do is close the border with mexico and
deport all illegals. I am tired of hearing that we can’t deport all the illegals. That is a lot of crap that the democrats and the do gooders want us to believe. All people that are here illegally could be systematically deported it may take us awhile but eventually we could do it. Then we should purge the prisons of the ones that are here
illegally and personally deposit them in mexico city and make calderon sign for them. Then we should drop leaflets like they did when we bombed japan and tell them that we welcome them here only through legal
means. This nonsence that we would be separating families will not be a factor, they would all be where they belong in their own country.meh

  • mehoward

One more thing, Did you see the news on cinco demayo that the mexican
students were allowed to fly their mexican flags and wear their tee
shirts declaring their allegence to mehico, but when our American boys
tried to wear tee shirts declaring their loyality to the USA they were asked to turn them insideout and when they said no they were suspended
from school. I say that school should be reformed and the principal should be fired. I do not care if the mexicans were the majority in the school they are on American soil and they should not be allowed to show allegence to any flag but the American flag. If they think mexico
is so great then return to that great country. meh pensacola,fl.

mehoward, Yes and here is some of the info from several newspaper sites:

The teens — Galli, Austin Carvalho, Matt Dariano, Dominic Maciel and Clayton Howard — were sitting at a table outside Live Oak High School Wednesday morning when Assistant Principal Miguel Rodriguez asked them to remove their American flag bandanas and T-shirts.
Asked if he wore the shirt to make a statement related to the ongoing immigration debate, Galli said, “No, it had absolutely nothing to do with that.”
The students were then told they must turn their T-shirts inside-out or be sent home.

Dos Palos students protest after school forces sophomore to remove American flag shirt. School officials have apologized to student.

Officials at the Merced County school confirmed Thursday that Jake Shelly was forced to take off a red, white and blue tie-dyed American flag T-shirt on Tuesday. The shirt said nothing offensive, just: “United States of America, Washington, D.C.”

The school’s assistant principal issued Shelly an embarrassing bright yellow T-shirt that read “DCV: Dress Code Violator” to wear for the rest of the day. He was given his shirt back after classes ended.

Earlier in the day, Jake Shelly was speaking with a local news station when an unidentified teacher walked up to him, ripped off the microphone clipped to his shirt and told him he was not allowed to talk to the media.

This is where we, as a free nation, are at right now. Some feel it necessary to deprive us and our children from showing a sense of patriotism.

Where can the line be drawn? Does Freedom of expression prevail?

      Sweatshirt Sparks School Controversy
Hoodie Contains Image Of World Trade Center Towers…
DEARBORN, Mich. — About 15 Arab-American students at Edsel Ford High School are in trouble over a class sweatshirt they had made over the holiday break. The class of 2011 sweatshirt has the number 11 made to look like the World Trade Center Towers. The school’s mascot, a Thunderbird, is seen flying toward the number.
Under the graphic, a tagline reads, “You can’t bring us down.”
The students wore the hooded sweatshirts to school Monday. They were immediately sent to the principal’s office.

      The sweatshirts were confiscated.

“What took place here today was an inappropriate, distasteful act,” said David Mustonen, a spokesman for Dearborn Schools. “(It was) totally inappropriate, totally disrespectful, and they just were not thinking.”

I read a news article about a guy in Texas that saw the Mexican flag above the American flag at a bar/restaurant run by hispanics and he told them to change it as it was not the way it was done here. They just laughed at him and he walked away came back with a BIG bowie knife, cut the american flag off the lanyard and let the Mexican flag blow away in the wind. When they saw the knife and the 45 on his hip, they didn’t have a word to say!!! American veteran justice, I love it!!!

This should not be happening in Arizona, or anywhere else in the US. This is Mexico’s problem. Instead of applauding and pandering to the President of Mexico, our government should be going down there and telling them to straighten out their corrupt rathole of a country, so their citizens would be able to stay there and have a decent life. Why aren’t we sending the enormous bill for the cost of these illegals to Mexico with a demand for payment?

When the ignorant democrats claim we are breaking up families, when illegals are gathered and loaded up and shipped out is bull. In the late 80′s as a law officer, we got a call to a residence of possible gun violance. When another officer and I got there, it envolved a male mexican that was planning to shoot his 13 year old son. The female that was there was only 18 and was the old man’s girlfriend. Being pretty far along in her pregancy, the boy was helping her hang up laundry, and the old man being drunk got a little squirrely and fired his pistol at both parties several times, in the trailer park. The boy had call for help, first the old man claimed he didn’t understand English, until I talked to the boy, who said he did. The pistol on him could not be Ided for a month, because it had been on a shipment to Venuzula from Hungary, less than a month before. We had to let the bastard go since the INS wouldn’t come and get him. He enentually ended up in Montana. The county paid for the medical care of delivery and welfare costs for 6 months, she went back to Mexico, the boy was placed in foster care, where we learned his father had at least 10 families, in at least 10 different areas from Texas north to Mt. where he worked as a sheep shearer. The boy evenually went back to his mother in Mexico who he hadn’t seen in 2 years and never went to school. USA has more damn breeding mexicans who over whelm our medical systems alone, then they produce to pay the freight. Mexicans citizens that are here use and abuse there own peole, paying them little or nothing and think illegals ar just OK. Pretty close to the muslims and their enclaves and not assemulating!

    From the L. A. Times

    1. 40% of all workers in L. A. County ( L. A. County has 10.2 million people) are working for cash and not paying taxes.

This is because they are predominantly illegal immigrants working without a green card.
    2. 95% of warrants for murder in Los Angeles are for illegal aliens.
    3. 75% of people on the most wanted list in Los Angeles are illegal aliens.
    4. Over 2/3 of all births in Los Angeles County are to illegal alien Mexicans on Medi-Cal, whose births were paid for by taxpayers.
    5. Nearly 35% of all inmates in California detention centers are Mexican nationals here illegally.
    6. Over 300,000 illegal aliens in Los Angeles County are living in garages.
7… The FBI reports half of all gang members in Los Angeles are most likely illegal aliens from south of the border.
8 Nearly 60% of all occupants of HUD properties are illegal.
    9. 21 radio stations in L. A. are Spanish speaking.
    10. In L.. A. County 5.1 million people speak English, 3.9 million speak Spanish.. (There are 10.2 million people in L. A. County .)

(All 10 of the above facts were published in the Los Angeles Times)

Less than 2% of illegal aliens are picking our crops, but 29% are on welfare. Over 70% of the United States ‘ annual population growth (and over 90% of California , Florida , and New York ) results from immigration. 29% of inmates in federal prisons are illegal aliens.

We are fools for letting this continue

Our Federal government is inept and corrupt. They’re charged with the responsibility to protect us from among other thing’s, invasion and they’re guilty of malfeasance for not honoring our Constitutions mandate to do so.
At the beginning of all this rant some illegal guy nammed han I think gave an in your face response that included his address. In other words he’s saying we are a bunch of pussies and he’s here no matter what our laws say or what we do. What should be done to him and his clan cannot be expressed here. If nobody has the guts to do it give me the authority. I’ll damn sure get it done. We as a people have ignored the incompetence of our representation, content to continue our narrow minded lives, shrugging our sholders in helplessness. We have been invaded people and just because most of them don’t carry guns does not mean that the effects of millions of undocumented among us does not have a seriously threatening effect. The world is laughing at us. We send a very capable military, God bless them, to far away places to thwart nefarious threats when we have as serious a threat within our own borders. We have the technology to put a 500 pound bomb in a window from 10,000 feet and can’t stop the millions from coming here uninvited. Why doesn’t our government do something to seriously stop it? Because they don’t want to. They turn a blind eye to it, content to let the States pay the bills. The border should be mined. A fence with stout construction high and buried at least 20 feet down to mitigate tunnels. If we need cheap labor, fine. Regulate it. Bring them in in a controlled way, let them do what they’re going to do and then send their asses home! Those who hire undocument workers should have a mandantory jail sentence and heavy fine. The law allowing a forign baby born here to automatically have citizenship should be recinded. We as a country are STUPID. We’re letting our wonderful way of life slip away, while our so called “leaders” happly take our tax money they dog us for and lavish themselves with privleges not available to the rest of us, plus they take the money lobbiests give them to buy privleges for their masters. Get off your asses and contact your representation. If they don’t listen or feed you the standard political crap, kick their asses out and keep doing it until you get what you want. If you don’t then sit back and watch your country become something you will not be proud of or comfortable in. We”re almost there now in case you haven’t noticed. And the government will make you pay for it.

Let’s not forget the role that the SEIU plays in this Marxis/socialist/communist regime. Just as Obama was an Alinsky organizer, the SEIU continues to work hard for their mentor and their POTUS to push the US deeper into the hands of socialism. The SEIU is a major player in every public circle of conflict, organizing against the Tea Party protests, Arizona immigration legislation and wherever they can propagandize “oppression” on the un-educated and poor illegal immigrants by the rich and the white.

Thanks to the internet, free speech and the voices on some major media outlets we have become a better informed public than ever before and are able to realize the underlying truths that are covered over by the White House and the Hill and the many news outlets in their hip pockets.

Stay informed, your country depends on it.

  • David Warheit

So providing education to native-born US citizens is a cost of “illegal” immigration. Okay, how far back shall we go? How about to 1630 and the Puritans? Providing education to their descendants is therefore a cost of “illegal” immigration. Heck, virtually any cost of government can be seen to have its origins in “illegal” immigration.
This so-called study is utterly worthless.

    • Sandra

How about if we just go back to the date when you were born David, and throw out all the illegal aliens who have come here since then (including the anchor babies. Is that going to include you? Are you an anchor baby David?

    • Meteorlady

“Anchor babies” became the norm when the 14th Amendment to the Constitution was misinterpreted. The original INTENT of that amendment was to provide legal citizenship and status to freed slaves returning to their original states and to protect their rights as citizens of our country. But thanks to all the liberal groups it has been misinterpreted to include non-citizens that give birth in this country. Me thinks that should never have happened.

    • Meteorlady

Forgive me though – there is definitely a cost to this practice. The woman crosses our border illegally with the intent to give birth in this country. They they skip out on the hospital bill so how much do you think that has added to our health care over the years? AFter that they wait and then come across and collect around $1500 a month in welfare benefits for their “legal” child. They all know this and they all know how to do it – it’s a booklet they can get their hands on easily.

All this talk about Profiling. Whats with that? Our problem is with Illegal Mexicans coming across the Southwest Border. Actually we want to stop ALL Illegals from entering our country. PROFILING WORKS. These people coming in illegally are CRIMINALS. What difference does it make how we catch them as long as we catch them. These Illegals are Foreign Nationals. If they cross that border illegally with a weapon, they should be shot.No AMERICAN should be offended if asked to show ID, why are people worried about how Illegal Criminal Immigrants feel??. Only the Race Baiters are bronging up PROFILING. People trying to make things difficult. PROFILING WORKS, we should definitly use it

David Warnutt, what liberal b–l s–t are you talking about. First the blanket asses didn’t own the land, they used it and moved on. Second, Indians were socialist style governance tribal groups. They didn’t develope anything, just live off of everyone else. Indians migrated from the east and the west, north and south, from other lands. There was no borders or bounderies. Either you failed early American history as well as world history, or just a ignorant socialist retarded democrat. You definitely show the classic signs of the dumbing down of schools and unionized teachers combined. Our borders are supposed to have consequenses, like state’s borders due. Go a little farther down the line, counties have different tax rates as do towns and cities, still following you simple minded moron? When the Constitution was signed and this country was founded, borders were formed, still along pin head. The best damn thing we should do is, tell Mexico to stop letting people pass through, and seal their border nats rear tight, or we will kick some corrupt socialist ass and keep going till we have a hundred stars on our flag. Of course all whimpy, ckicken doodled democrats are too damn p c ed like the muslim toilet brained Prez, which would require some back bone, to tell the grease balls that is the plan, if nothing is done on the Mexican border.

I find your post somewhat bad since the Native Americans had no concept of land ownership or property. They didn’t just rape the land, they were more like stewards of the land. We moved them onto reservations and broke treaty after treaty when it suited us to do so. Not sure why you said what you said, but it’s unfair and biased and even a little bigoted.

      • Claire

Meteorlady– Your words are very true.

Also the part about them living off everybody else was BS as well. In their natural state the Native Americans could live off the land better than any white or black person in North America!!!

There is always room for legal immigrants but these numbers make a lot of sense. In a country where half the tax filers don’t pay taxes at all, the illegals benefit tremendously. WE ARE OUT OF FREE MONEY!
Ban all illegal workers by mandatory SS number checking. Then when American citizens have jobs, a controlled number of immigrants may come in. With all the free education, health care, food, benefits galore…..THIS IS REALLY CRAZY!
Let’s get the economy healthy first, then we can allow more immigrants to come in.

    I have one for you;
My former Boss several years ago about 2005 interviewed a man (prospect) in his middle class 300k? home for a sales position with a Prominent Financial services firm and at the mention that the prospect would have to undergo an FBI background check before employment, the prospects emotion went from interested to a scared look of surprise and then stated that he was not interested in pursuing the position. When pressured for an answer, why? he replied that he was here Illegally and that in fact his wife was also here Illegally from Mexico. They came here 10 or 15 years ago! When asked how he was able to earn 80,000 dollars a year as a Truck Driver and his wife 40 thousand a year as a public school teacher? he replied that they both paid several thousand dollars for Fake ID’s with Fake SS numbers that they made up. When asked how that works out, he replied that every year at tax time after filing taxes, he later receives a notice from the IRS telling them that the SS numbers do not match the names and that they need to come in and straighten it out. When asked what they do at that request, he simply says; we just throw the letters away and keep on working…….. and that my friends is how it is done in the Criminal world of Illegals. Isn’t America the Land of opportunity? Of course it is! I asked my Boss if he reported it? He said NO! (and folks that is the problem we have in America) Too many people are looking the other way saying it’s none of their business and don’t want to get involved because it might cost them time, money and endanger their lives.

  • william ahrens

Get involved people. If not for yourself for your children and grandchildren. If you don’t have any children many others do. This country is the most precious stone in the crown of humanity. To allow it to be diluted by interlopers profanes those who have done it right. Illegals mock us, claiming they have a right to be here and we can’t do a damn thing about it. The only right they have is to be sent back where they came from. They may be poor. They may be desperate but many other millions in the world not blessed with geographical proximity to a porus border are equally so. They are mostly compelled to follow the rules, albeit somehow many from Asia and other places find their way here without following the rules.
Our government is supposed to be by the people and for the people. We have to remind them of that. Forcibly if necessary. If you don’t care enough to get involved then you don’t deserve what you have.

  • chuck b

    william ahrens

it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the people rise up and say that’s enough, i believe we are getting close.

    What a lame estimate.
What makes them think that an illegal alien child is going to actually use all those services at his disposal. Its more like a doomsday scenario. That like saying that an illegal is going to blow up FAIR, too extreme right. So it hasn’t changed from the 1.3 million on last estimate, what a bunch hate mongering people. Where are the made up stats, because we all know that FAIR make them up. What no sources on that data that shows that every illegal in the country “has Among other state expenses, Medicaid, SCHIP, incarceration and welfare cost approximately $1 billion”. Yeah there isnt any I didnt think so.
I hope you guys understand that an illegal alien kid is likely to mary an American born kid. Once he grows up and becomes and American, because his culture is going to be American. If you take away his schooling he is going to be one dumb American with out schooling.
Another thing I dont understand, why is FAIR even publishing a figure for schooling? It was already ruled in supreme court that you cant stop educating anybody! It is law, FAIR and everyone else should understand that this is a country of laws.

This shows how bad our law enforcement is. You broke our laws, disrespected our country by coming here illegally and pushed thousands of people out of line. You are not the type of people we need in this country nor are you the type of people that will respect and value our way of life and our heritage.

  • Doug

Illegal immigrants are just that…. illegal. Our immigration system is not broken – IT’S NOT ENFORCED. If it was enforced, we would not have this problem.

Under Title 8 Section 1325 of the U.S. Code, “Improper Entry by Alien,” any citizen of any country other than the United States who:

•Enters or attempts to enter the United States at any time or place other than as designated by immigration officers; or
•Eludes examination or inspection by immigration officers; or
    •Attempts to enter or obtains entry to the United States by a willfully false or misleading representation or the willful concealment of a material fact;

    has committed a federal crime.

Violations are punishable by criminal fines and imprisonment for up to six months. Repeat offenses can bring up to two years in prison. Additional civil fines may be imposed at the discretion of immigration judges, but civil fines do not negate the criminal sanctions or nature of the offense.

Who cares what the illegal immigrant pays in taxes. They are illegal and need to be deported. Who cares the illegal immigrants have little US citizens. Deport them all and then we don’t have to worry about separating the families….

Can’t do the time, don’t do the crime.

  • Doug

Students who came here with visas, that are now expired, are not going back.

Guest workers, who have had their visas expire, are not going back.

Many tourists here for vacation, will also not be going back.

It isn’t just the Latinos either. We have many illegals from many countries. That is a fact.

It is also difficult to remove the people already here. It is a mess. However, if all states begin enforcing the laws it is at least a beginning.

A message must be sent that if caught, you will be prosecuted, fined, jailed and then deported. With enforcement comes the realization by many who vilolate our laws that there is a consequence instead of an amnesty.

Examples must be made in order to make people think twice about breaking our laws.

    • http://?? Joe H.

Like I have said before, the prime minister of Ireland asked Bush jr to go easy on the estimated 20,000 illegal irish here in the states. Now that takes gaul!!!

      • Doug

Guess we can see Ireland “had” to change their own policies on “illegals”….

        Citizenship Policy

Ireland used to grant citizenship to anybody born in Ireland (the jus soli principle). The non-Irish parents of Irish-born children could then apply for residency in Ireland based on the Irish citizenship of their child. This led to concerns that non-Irish nationals, particularly asylum applicants, were travelling to Ireland and having children in order to gain that status.

Prior to January 2003, about 11,000 families with Irish-born children lawfully applied for residency.

After a referendum in 2004 and a subsequent constitutional amendment, citizenship laws changed so that any person born in Ireland after January 1, 2005, to non-Irish parents is not automatically entitled to Irish citizenship unless one of the parents was lawfully resident in Ireland for at least three out of the four years preceding the child’s birth (periods spent in Ireland as an asylum applicant or student are not considered).

I just received this e-mail, it is brilliant, it is the solution to illegal immigration. Arizona opened out eyes when they had the guts to act on their own, when the Feds have done nothing at all to rectify the problem. I take no credit for this e-mail, but it is outstanding. It’s too bad our leaders have no common sense, that is all this is: Please read the text, its powerful. I also sent it to Glen Beck

    Dear Glen,
Love your show. This is an e-mail that a friend sent to me. It’s something that the meatheads in Washington probably wouldn’t bother to read. Seems they don’t really read anything these days. It is the most logical explanation/solution to the illegal immigration problem that we face in this nation that I have heard to date.

I wish you would read it, research its validity, and perhaps explain it on your show to the American people.

We really need someone to make our politicians listen to what their constituents really want their representatives to do on very important issues that we face today. Especially dealing with Obama and his one-way leadership shenanigans and backroom deals.

This is a very important issue, I hope someone will bring it to Glen’s attention, and perhaps he will use these statements on his show, and show how tax money could be saved if implemented. Also these measures would put a lot of Americans back to work. If the illegal immigrants left our states, businesses would have to pay Americans a decent wage and put an awful lot of our citizens back to work.

    Thank you,
    Ed Curtis

Subject: Fw: What IF 20 Million Illegals Vamoosed? Then What?

Tina Griego, journalist for the Denver Rocky Mountain News wrote a column
    titled, “Mexican visitor’s lament” –

She interviewed Mexican journalist Evangelina Hernandez while visiting
    Denver last week. Hernandez said,
“They (illegal aliens) pay rent, buy groceries, buy clothes…what happens
to your country’s economy if 20 million people go away?”

That’s a good question – it deserves an answer. Over 80 percent of Americans
demand secured borders and illegal migration stopped. But what would happen
if all 20 million or more vacated America? The answers may surprise you!
In California , if 3.5 million illegal aliens moved back to Mexico , it would
leave an extra $10.2 billion to spend on overloaded school systems,
bankrupted hospitals and overrun prisons. It would leave highways cleaner,
safer and less congested. Everyone could understand one another as English
    became the dominate language again.

In Colorado, 500,000 illegal migrants, plus their 300,000 kids and
grand-kids – would move back “home,” mostly to Mexico . That would save
Coloradans an estimated $2 billion (other experts say $7 BIL) annually in
taxes that pay for schooling, medical, social-services and incarceration
costs. It means 12,000 gang members would vanish out of Denver alone.

Colorado would save more than $20 million in prison costs, and the terror
that those 7,300 alien criminals set upon local citizens. Denver Officer Don
Young and hundreds of Colorado victims would not have suffered death,
accidents, rapes and other crimes by illegals.

Denver Public Schools would not suffer a 67 percent drop out/flunk out rate
via thousands of illegal alien students speaking 41 different languages. At
least 200,000 vehicles would vanish from our gridlocked cities in Colorado .
Denver ‘s four percent unemployment rate would vanish as our working poor
would gain jobs at a living wage.

In Florida , 1.5 million illegals would return the Sunshine State back to
America , the rule of law and English.

In Chicago , Illinois , 2.1 million illegals would free up hospitals, schools,
prisons and highways for a safer, cleaner and more crime-free experience.

If 20 million illegal aliens returned “home”:

If 20 million illegal aliens returned “home,” the U.S. economy would return
to the rule of law. Employers would hire legal American citizens at a living
wage. Everyone would pay their fair share of taxes because they wouldn’t be
working off the books. That would result in a n additional $401 billion in
IRS income taxes collected annually, and an equal amount for local state and
    city coffers.

No more push ’1′ for Spanish or ’2′ for English. No more confusion in
American schools that now must contend with over 100 languages that degrade
the educational system for American kids. Our overcrowded schools would lose
more than two million illegal alien kids at a cost of billions in ESL and
    free breakfasts and lunches.

We would lose 500,000 illegal criminal alien inmates at a cost of more than
$1.6 billion annually. That includes 15,000 MS-13 gang members who
distribute $130 billion in drugs annually would vacate our country. In
cities like L.A, 20,000 members of the “18th Street Gang” would vanish from
our nation. No more Mexican forgery gangs for ID theft from Americans! No
more foreign rapists and child molesters!

Losing more than 20 million people would clear up our crowded highways and
gri dlock. Cleaner air and less drinking and driving American deaths by
    illegal aliens!

Drain on America ‘s economy; taxpayers harmed, employers get rich:

Over $80 billion annually wouldn’t return to their home countries by cash
transfers. Illegal migrants earned half that money untaxed, which further
drains America ‘s economy – which currently suffers an $8.7 trillion debt.

At least 400,000 anchor babies would not be born in our country, costing us
$109 billion per year per cycle. At least 86 hospitals in California ,
Georgia and Florida would still be operating instead of being bankrupted out
of existence because illegals pay nothing via the EMTOLA Act. Americans
wouldn’t suffer thousands of TB and hepatitis cases rampant in our
country-brought in by illegals unscreened at our borders.

Our cities would see 20 million less people driving, polluting and grid
locking our cities. It would also put the “progressives” on the horns of a
dilemma; illegal aliens and their families cause 11 percent of our
    greenhouse gases.

Over one million of Mexico’s poorest citizens now live inside and along our
border from Brownsville , Texas to San Diego , California in what the New York
Times called, “colonias” or new neighborhoods. Trouble is, those living
areas resemble Bombay and Calcutta where grinding poverty, filth, diseases,
drugs, crimes, no sanitation and worse. They live without sewage, clean
water, streets, electricity, roads or any kind of sanitation. The New York
Times reported them to be America ‘s new ” Third World ” inside our own
country. Within 20 years, at their current growth rate, they expect 20
million residents of those colonias. (I’ve seen them personally in Texas and
Arizona ; it’s sickening beyond anything you can imagine.) By enforcing our
laws, we could repatriate them back to Mexico .

    High integrity, ethical invitation:

We invite 20 million aliens to go home, fix their own countries and/or make
a better life in Mexico . We invite a million people into our country legally
more than all other countries combined annually. We cannot and must not
allow anarchy at our borders, more anarchy within our borders and growing
lawlessness at every level in our nation.

It’s time to stand up for our country, our culture, our civilization and our
    way of life.

    • Doug

Outstanding item you posted Edward, outstanding. AND yes, we will get out and vote this November to make a real “change” versus the status quo.

The current prez came into his position saying his administration will be the most transparent one in our history, he has shown otherwise.

I am now an ex-Democrat but that doesn’t make me a Republican. I will vote for the person who understands we need less gov’t and more of the rule of law from the Constitution. Plain and simple.

  • Doug

Do you remember back in 1986, when Ronald Reagan proposed and Congress approved the Immigration Reform and Control Act? That legislation was supposed to solve the immigration crisis once and for all. It granted amnesty to 2.7 million “undocumented workers” then living in the United States. We were told this would set them on the path to becoming law-abiding, English-speaking, tax-paying citizens.

We were also assured that the flood of illegal immigration into this country would be stopped. Congress subsequently approved legislation to build a massive wall along the U.S.-Mexican border and to hire thousands of additional agents for the Border Patrol.

None of this happened. Not a single thing we were promised 24 years ago came true.

Instead, the flood of illegals into this country became a tsunami. Where we once had 4 million to 5 million illegal immigrants, we’re now told the correct number is somewhere between 12 million and 20 million. The number is several times higher than a pessimist’s worst prediction two decades ago. Even more shocking is that responsible authorities can’t tell us the right number to the nearest million—or even the nearest 5 million.

Whatever the correct number, it’s enough to overwhelm our schools, our hospitals, our prisons and our law enforcement officials wherever illegal aliens settle in any significant numbers.

  • Sandy

Obama should be impeached for advocating the violation of federal immigration laws he took an oath to support. All the Arizona law does is empower local authorities to enforce the existing federal law that the federal Government is unwilling to enforce.

On another note, Obama and his cronies are practicing reverse racial profiling, it’s fine to stop white motorists and ask for identification, but not if the motorists are brown.

  • Sandy

In response to Doug: America’s landmark 1986 immigration reform law banned the hiring of illegal workers while granting amnesty to several million already here. But it was purposely rendered toothless at the last minute, when saboteurs yanked out a provision requiring a secure check of job applicants’ identities. We can really trust the dems, huh….NOT

  • Steve…..a-postcard

Here is a link where you can send O’Dummer a FREE postcard inviting him to Arizona to personally see all the ILLEGAL ALIENS crossing over the border. It seems he was busy hosting Paul McCartney and then some grunge band on the day that Az. Governor Jan Brewer invited him to come. Maybe I would forgo a trip to Az to meet Sir Paul McCartney, but a grunge band?? LOL…

Readers, my brother Rolando has been in and out of the hospital for so many years now. He is permanently paralysed for the last 16 years and currently undergoing dialysis due to kidney failure. Well, there you go. Next time the left starts getting in your face about how illegals do so much good for our country and hey, they pay taxes too.. You can just say, yep, out of 2.7 billion of what they cost just one state per year they pay 143 million, WE PICK UP THE REST. Good start left. But that dog don’t hunt on the right.
