Conspiracy Theories Aren’t Always False, Just Unpopular

Conspiracy Theories Aren’t Always False, Just Unpopular
Mainstream media attacked alternative news sites for raising questions about the timing of James Holmes’ alleged actions and the erratic nature of his behavior.

In the wake of the tragic events that occurred in Aurora, Colo., last week, the familiar media trend of mindless chatter, finger-pointing and political polarization has emerged. Americans following the case continue to get a slow trickle of facts about the alleged shooter, James Holmes, and his past, along with continual analysis about what his mindset may have been from criminology and psychology experts.

There are people focusing on the smaller, more sociably acceptable reasoning as to why Holmes is alleged to have carried out the horrific slaughter.

The narrative plays something like: Holmes was a loner whose mother said had a socially reclusive history. Potentially a lonely sex fiend, the man frequented prostitutes in his locale. A lifetime “nerd,” he had faced considerable stress of late as his grades failed in his Ph.D. studies and he removed himself from the program. Holmes spent much of his time locked in his apartment — which he faced losing because he was no longer a student — with  lights low playing video games and frequenting online message boards and sex sites. His neighbors didn’t know very much about him.

His online footprint is miniscule, his criminal record nonexistent; there was “no reason for him to be on anyone’s radar.” As it continues, the narrative will likely paint a portrait of a mentally disturbed man who became infatuated by the infamy of his favorite evil movie characters, driven to leave his own nasty mark on society by isolation, mental illness and sadism nurtured by what he deems societal failure to accept him and others like him.

Indeed, the media are already reporting on how the man behaves in his jail cell as he is “trying very hard to act crazy.” He refuses to cooperate with investigators, according to some accounts.

The political consequences of Holmes’ alleged actions are yet to be known, but the rhetoric from lawmakers and opinion shapers has already heated up. It began with media attempting to unsuccessfully link Holmes to political movements like the Tea Party and Occupy Wall Street, and continued successfully into a conversation about gun rights and Internet privacy.

At a news conference on Monday, Attorney General Eric Holder, whose Justice Department is complicit in arming Mexican drug cartels, said that the government must now think about the way in which the shooter acquired his AR-15, two Glock handguns, Remington shotgun, body armor and thousands of rounds.

“We have tried to come up with a better system with our instant background checks so that we have the ability to make sure that people who have emotional problems, people who have felony records, other people cannot get access to these kinds of weapons,” Holder said.

New York Nanny Mayor Michael Bloomberg suggested that police officers throughout the country should go on strike until the 2nd Amendment is suspended.

Representative Carolyn McCarthy (D-N.Y.) — whose husband was killed in a shooting in 1993 — offered with regard to high-capacity magazines, “It befuddles me to think those things should be sold to the general public.”

The fact that Holmes used the Internet to purchase some of the supplies he allegedly used to carry out his crime has also led some lawmakers to suggest that more online spying by government agencies would catch people like him before they act.

There are factions that stand to reap political rewards if Americans accept the mainstream story and subsequent national conversation surrounding the events in Aurora. And for this reason, a small minority of Americans have risked being deemed conspiracy theorists by their peers because they are considering alternatives to the “official” story of events.

Gun control is an issue of perpetual debate in the United States. The most recent threat to the 2nd Amendment has come in the form of a U.N. small arms treaty drafted to fight “terror” and rebellion by taking guns out of the hands of “non-state actors” — read, private citizens — of signing countries. The treaty has been met with support by some U.S. officials, including the President, but has also received harsh criticism from U.S. gun owners and the National Rifle Association. While, if enacted, the treaty would not instantly ban firearms in the United States, it would create difficulties for gun owners such as making it more difficult for hunters and sportsmen to travel internationally, possibly creating a gun registration in the United States and even banning certain guns. The treaty and NRA’s fierce opposition were making headlines in the days leading up to the Aurora events.

And remember how Holmes wasn’t on “anyone’s radar?” For months, the debate about online privacy from government spying has raged as Congress offers up one after another acronym-laden bill to give the Federal government unchecked access to online information. Each one has been met with fierce public opposition. But now, Americans are offered this from a Wall Street Journal columnist:

The Colorado shooter Mr. Holmes dropped out of school via email. He tried to join a shooting range with phone calls and emails going back and forth. He bought weapons and bomb-making equipment. He placed orders at various websites for a large quantity of ammunition. Aside from privacy considerations, is there anything in principle to stop government computers, assuming they have access to the data, from algorithmically detecting the patterns of a mass shooting in the planning stages?

The columnist goes on to suggest that now is the perfect time for Americans to willingly relinquish any expectation of protection under the 4th Amendment, to protect the country from others like Holmes.

Mainstream media attacked Natural News and other alternative news sites for simply raising questions about the timing of Holmes’ alleged actions and the erratic nature of his behavior.

In the Natural News piece, the author posits that Holmes’ attack was a false flag, pointing out:

  • Holmes could have been hand selected by silent actors to carry out his actions because of his educational involvement in mind-altering neuroscience.
  • He was equipped with tactical knowledge and bomb-making expertise and supplies that are difficult to obtain and use correctly. He is alleged to have funded his arsenal in part with the help of a Federal education grant of $26,000, the details of which are sketchy.
  • He has no background and information about his past is sparse at best.

Of course, mainstream thinkers lambast anyone who would dare to suggest that such a tragedy would be foisted upon the American public by shady operatives of some clandestine force for political manipulation. This is the United States; our government is a benevolent one with only the best interests of all involved in mind, right?

History tells a different story.

The CIA has a long and well-documented relationship with experimentation in mind control for the purpose of developing the use of unsuspecting people as weapons. From the agency’s creation in 1947 until Congressional scrutiny befell the agency in 1976 with the help of Senator Frank Church, its experiments went unnoticed.

The Church hearings brought to light the agency’s involvement in years of psychological manipulation of test subjects using drugs, hypnosis and barbaric medical procedures. It was discovered that the CIA had developed the ability to control the minds of those it had manipulated using signals, often making them carry out sexual or deviant acts that would otherwise be out of character.

You can read more about some of the CIA mind-control initiatives in declassified documents that have been compiled by a global team of researchers and intelligence experts here.

It is also no secret that Federal agencies stage incidents on a regular basis. In recent years, to perpetuate the threat of terror, the FBI has coerced individuals into going along with outlandish terror plots and provided weapons and supplies to them. It has been estimated that 14 of the 22 major terror attack threats on American soil since 9/11 were actually FBI sting operations.

With such past evidence, it is a danger to cast aside any alternate explanation of Holmes’ actions as too outlandish, fearmongering or conspiracy. And such an easily politicized tragedy should — and would in a responsible society — be vetted for means, motive and opportunity from a variety of perspectives.

No, but it sounds like he could run for president.

Mr. Rolley says, “It is also no secret that Federal agencies stage incidents on a regular basis. Mr. Rolley, this highly speculatve and totally unsupported implication that the Aurora massacre was a false flag operation is just as irreponsible “journalism” as the MSM’s kneejerk reactions to it.

      From :

“AURORA, Colo. – James Holmes, the accused gunman in last Friday’s midnight movie massacre in Colorado, mailed a notebook “full of details about how he was going to kill people” to a University of Colorado psychiatrist before the attack, and the parcel may have sat unopened in a mailroom for up to a week before its discovery Monday, a law enforcement source told

“Inside the package was a notebook full of details about how he was going to kill people,” the source told ‘There were drawings of what he was going to do in it — drawings and illustrations of the massacre.’”

Using your “rationale,” are we now to assume that it’s become standard operating procedure for false flag operations to have the perpetrator tip his hand prior to accomplshing the deed?

Your speculations are both unsupported and unnecessarily provocative.

      • Winddrinker

Strange that the envelope Holmes sent, never got out of the “mail room” and delivered!

      • Vigilant

Not strange at all when you realize it is a “mail room,” not a post office. People generally pick up their mail at a mail room, it’s not delivered.

      • Mark Are Reynolds

And you must be the type that believes that one of the passports really came out of a plane crash into one of the towers unscathed too.

      • Vigilant

“And you must be the type that believes that one of the passports really came out of a plane crash into one of the towers unscathed too.”

Wouldn’t know about that, but I’m the “type” who believes that several eyewitnesses saw an airplane, not a missile, headed for the Pentagon. That, and a thousand other evidences that put the conspiracy speculations to rest.

Forget the non sequitur argument. We’re talking about Aurora, not 9/11.

      • Gimmesumadat Whatyougot

What brought the investigation to the university’s mail room in the first place was an original package sent to the psychologist, which turned out to be from someone else and “not important”. But while “searching” through the mail room, they stumbled upon a second package to the same psychologist, that “was” from Holmes.

Strange co-incidence, or planted evidence. We’ll never know!

      • Frank W Brown

I just love all the reports of terrorism plots foiled, but really wonder how the fbi gets away with helping to plan, and provide the materials, for these supposed plots.

Speculative, maybe. Unsupported? Hardly. You might want to check out:

Also, as one who has worked within the belly of the beast (a major lobbying firm in DC) – I was a mere dispatcher – I can assure you that Conspiracy is the NORM. Anything happening by accident is the exception. Even Roosevelt acknowledged this: “In politics, nothing happens by accident. If it happens, you can bet it was planned that way.”

Look folks, my wife and I sit on our front porch every morning and conspire against our children…who we love. Why on earth would anyone think that politicians, bankers and others who want to rule the world would not conspire toward achieving their ends.

Again, I say: Conspiracy is the Norm! Always assume it is the case unless it can be demonstrated otherwise.

        • macgyver1948

Justin Rogers.. If I didn’t know better I would think you are a Sci-Fi writer. It is very true that not a lot happens here which is not a design of congress and many of the agencies. The FDA, for example, has the power but they are pretty much controlled by their lobbyists, the so-called ‘contracted advisors’ and we tax payers pay them. Guess who they really work for. Aren’t the TV drug commercials fun to listen to and wonder how did that drug, with all their disclaimers, make it on the coveted FDA approval list? It is all about big money from the corporate monster. I believe Marijuana is illegal for the same reason tobacco is still legal.

Thanks for the linked article, it is interesting.

      Founding Fathers’ view on Firearms:

“A free people OUGHT not only to BE ARMED and disciplined, but THEY SHOULD HAVE SUFFICIENT ARMS AND AMMUNITION TO MAINTAIN A STATUS OF INDEPENDENCE FROM ANY WHO MIGHT ATTEMPT TO ABUSE THEM, which would include their own GOVERNMENT.” – George Washington, the Founding Father, the 1st President of the USA, the 1st Commander-in-Chief

“Firearms are second only to the Constitution in importance; THEY ARE THE PEOPLE’S LIBERTY’S TEETH…” – George Washington

“The very atmosphere of FIREARMS ANYWHERE and EVERYWHERE RESTRAINS EVIL INTERFERENCE. They deserve a place of HONOR with all that is good.” – George Washington

“No free man shall ever be debarred the use of ARMS.” – Thomas Jefferson, the Founding Father, the principal author of the Declaration of Independence (1776) and the third President of the United States, the first United States Secretary of State (1790–1793) serving under President George Washington

“To DISARM THE PEOPLE is the best and most effectual way to ENSLAVE THEM.” – George Mason, the Founding Father, an American Patriot, statesman and a delegate from Virginia to the U.S. Constitutional Convention. Along with James Madison, he is called the “Father of the United States Bill of Rights”. For these reasons he is considered one of the “Founding Fathers” of the United States)

“The said Constitution shall NEVER be construed to authorize Congress to prevent the people of the United States who are peaceable citizens from keeping their own ARMS.” – Samuel Adams, the Founding Fathers of the United States, one of the leaders of American Revolution, 4th Governor of Massachusetts, political Philosopher

“The great object is that every man be armed. Everyone who is able may have a GUN.” – Patrick Henry (a Founding Father, he served as the first and sixth post-colonial Governor of Virginia; politician who became known as an orator during the movement for independence in Virginia in the 1770s; he helped gain adoption of the Bill of Rights)

“Are we at last brought to such humiliating and debasing degradation that we cannot be trusted with arms for our defense? Where is the difference between having our ARMS in possession and under our direction, and having them under the management of CONGRESS? If our defense be the real object of having those ARMS, in whose hands can they be trusted with more propriety, or equal safety to us, as in our own hands?” – Patrick Henry

“Whenever governments mean to invade the RIGHTS and LIBERTIES of the people, they always attempt to destroy the militia, in order to raise an army upon their ruins.” – Rep. Elbridge Gerry of Massachusetts

“To preserve LIBERTY, it is essential that the whole body of people ALWAYS possess ARMS…” – Richard Henry Lee – an American statesman from Virginia. He was a signatory to the Articles of Confederation and his famous resolution of June 1776 led to the United States Declaration of Independence, which Lee signed. He also served as the President of the Continental Congress…

“A MILITIA, when properly formed, are in fact the people themselves … and include all men capable of bearing ARMS.” – Richard Henry Lee

“Who are the MILITIA? Are they not ourselves? Is it feared, then, that we shall turn our ARMS each man gains his own bosom/security/heart/center. CONGRESS HAS NO POWER TO DISARM THE MILITIA. Their swords, and every other terrible implement of the soldier, are the birthright of an American…[T]he unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state governments, but, where I trust in God it will ever remain, IN THE HANDS OF THE PEOPLE.” – Tenche Coxe (an American political economist and a delegate for Pennsylvania to the Continental Congress in 1788-1789. He wrote under the pseudonym “A Pennsylvanian”), The Pennsylvania Gazette, Feb. 20, 1788.

And now compare with the DemocRats’ point of view on Firearms:

“Waiting periods are only a step. Registration is only a step. PROHIBITION OF FIREARMS IS THE GOAL.” – Janet Reno, former U.S. Attorney General in the Clinton’s administration.

“This administration has consistently favored the reinstitution of the assault weapons ban…” Holder, the U.S. Attorney General

“We just have to be repetitive about this. It’s not enough to have a catchy ad on a Monday and then only do it every Monday. We have to do this every day of the week and just really brainwash people into thinking about guns in a vastly different way.”

And watch & listen the LIES of Barry the Deceiver: Obama on Gun Control

Here you have the 2nd and the 4th Amendments

Amendment 2 – Right to Bear Arms. Ratified 12/15/1791
A well regulated Militia, BEING NECESSARY TO THE SECURITY OF A FREE STATE, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED.

Amendment 4 – Search and Seizure. Ratified 12/15/1791
The right of the people TO BE SECURE IN THEIR PERSONS, HOUSES, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, SHALL NOT BE VIOLATED, AND NO WARRANTS SHALL ISSUE, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

      People, please educate yourself.

  • Vicki

Being paranoid is NOT proof that they are not out to get you. Conspiracy theories have the same problem.

This one has been noticed cause it has happened way too often that a mass shooting happens near the time additional gun controls are to be voted on. Interestingly some gun control laws have come into debate after highly publicized shootings.

The co-incidences are too numerous to ignore. And maybe that is because
“Behavioral psychologists say that people react strongly to high-profile incidents, often viewing them as more likely to occur after the fact. A shooting primes the public to accept gun laws that they might otherwise feel less strongly about.”
This is too tempting for a government, who would sell guns to Mexican drug cartels to try and get US to infringe on the 2nd Amendment, to ignore.

    • Gustyj

It is amazing that stupid Holder would have something to say about where he got his weaponds whenn he sent 2500 weaponds to Mexico drug cartel? and Bloomberg is just as stupid to sugest that the police go on strike, if that happen you would need your guns a thousand times more and everyone would go get a gun to protect themselves.

      • GaryTraditionalUltraConservative

If any police officer union anywhere voted to go on strike and remove themselves from “walking the beat” regardless if the neighborhood that they patrol is located in a gang infested area or is located in a very up scale upper middle class safe law abiding neighborhood, specifically for the purpose to oppose working as law enforcement officers while any law abiding citizen can use their 2nd Amendment Rights to bear firearms for the protection of their family, and for their own personal self protection, for the protection of their own home, for the protection of their personal property and for the protection of their business location, would result in a very angry, very resentful and extremely vengeful law abiding citizenry pubic demanding that the heads of those police chiefs of those striking police officers be publicly severed and publicly placed high on a pole with their tongues hanging out(a very colorful exageration of course), French Revolution Style, for everyone to see and view and every other police officer who participated in any strike against the 2nd Amendment would be immediately fired and PERMANENTLY BANNED and PERMANENTLY PROHIBITED from any law enforcement occupation anywhere FOR LIFE. Over the years, many so called “peace officers” have evolved into cowardly whinning whimp thug bullies who find it much easier to use tear gas, pepper spray, rubber bullets or a police baton to beat a law abiding peaceful protester into submission instead of arresting a small group of Black Panther Thug Terrorists who stand outside a voting station and openly intimidate and openly threaten and openly terrorize White voters who walk into a voting station to cast their votes. New York Mayor Bloomberg is a very well protected worthless bumb who uses tax payer money to pay for armed personal protection body guards to protect his worthless pompous arrogant hypocrite political behind while Hypocrite Mayor Bloomberg advocates disarming law abiding citizens which would create many more targets of opportunity for very well armed criminal thugs who would always illegally obtain and illegally bear any type of firearms including a variety of military type fully automatic infantry weapons. At least police officers always have a fighting chance because unlike unarmed private citizens, police officers and any other type of law enforcement officers are always armed both on duty and off duty at their homes after work which means that criminals are much more tempted to prey on, ambush and attack an unarmed private citizen instead of taking the tremendously lethal risk of attacking a very well armed and very highly trained law enforcement officer because most criminals understand that police officers are very well trained to shoot back at a criminal if that criminal opens fire on any police officer or on any other type of law enforcement officer. To forcefully disarm and to forcefully confiscate all firearms from the law abiding citizenry public would leave police officers overwhelmed and greatly outgunned by criminals and especially by huge gangs of criminals and police officers would never be able to stop a steady increase in the body count of murdered unarmed extremely vulnerable innocent citizens who would be mercilessly and brutally gunned down by very well armed criminals.

Not only that but I am wondering what is going on in Colorado.

This Holmes shootings happened only a couple of miles from the shootings at the highschool some years ago.

It wouldn’t surprise me if Holmes was in some kind of “mind-control” program supported by the government. There are lots of uses for people they can make do things that government needs done..What better subject than a loner, without friends, no police record, and someone completely “under the radar.” He was a perfect subject.

And, there is speculation that there was a second person at the theater…maybe to make sure things “went well?”

What is going on in Colo? Californication!

I try to blog about ulterior news on MSM sites and it’s A LOT of work. I keep my kool and try and stick to the facts because I feel it’s important to get the word out on the crap that is supposedly “official”. I routinely get “kool-aide” and “tin foil hat” comments when someone can’t refute facts that I’ve presented. When I do I like to give them this quote that I’ve saved in my online notepad:
“The use of ‘conspiracy theory’ as a derogatory — as an epithet almost — is something the propagandists have perfected over the decades, and it’s a useful tool for eliminating articulate dissent and other points of view, and information that might be inconvenient for a policy agenda.” – Chris Sanders, Oil, Smoke & Mirrors

Yes, we need to outlaw bathtubs because people drown in them. And, of course, automobiles that kill more than guns every year. Maybe we should include daytime airplane flights that expose us to harmful solar radiation. While we’re at it, ban tobacco, alcohol, all fatty foods, all sugar, all cholesterol and prescription drugs that have “side effects” more lethal than the condition they are supposed to cure.

We could include all barbeque grills and fireplaces, even campfires because they increase the carbon footprint. In fact, ban ALL industry that produces effluvium.

Next, we take away all freedom of choice when it comes to foods and force all people to eat only at government approved cafeterias. Then you’d need mandated flattulence filters to remove the results of “healthy food” ingestion.

The list goes on and on.

Housewives? NOOOO, it would be too dangerous to let a housewife loose with a knife, unless she is registered with the federal government to cut up that chicken or slice that tomato. While I’m on the subject of housewives, how about banning the use of frying pans, since they (especially the iron skillet) have been used for self-defense or possibly aggressive behavior. Hands are also involved, so maybe we ought to start banning hands unless they are registered with the UN and the federal government. The liberals are nuts, and will probably see my post and wonder how they could have missed these opportunities to control the masses. AAUUGGHH!!!!

      • Gustyj

The Muslims will at least show them how to cut off their hands and their HEADS with a POCKET KNIFE.

      • eddie47d

Knives and frying pans have nothing to do with high powered weapons and ammo clips yet there is always someone to make those false comparisons.

      • Gary L

It’s a darn good thing Holmes didn’t push anyone out of a window. There would be calls to confiscate and ban the use and/or possession of windows.

      • eddie47d

Some of you need to come up with a new line of frivolous bull.

      • phideaux

Gary L I doubt that. If you die from falling/being pushed out a window you are only a little bit dead. If you are shot and killed you are seriously dead. Or at least that is the way an anti-gun liberal thinks.

        “Nobody’s Fool” – GREAT COMMENTS.

      • Mamamia

Damn Nobody’s Fool —– All Gary asked was why the hysteria over this particular crime when they happen every day? You went off on bathtubs and frying pans!!!!!

      • HH

Eddy said, “Knives and frying pans have nothing to do with high powered weapons and ammo clips yet there is always someone to make those false comparisons”.

You miss the point altogether! Killing is killing no mater the weapon used. Banning “assault” weapons and large capacity clips will NOT stop the killings, killers will just use something else. If you take the plug out of my 12 gauge pump shotgun and insert (4) 3″ magnum 00 buck shot shells in it with one in the chamber along with a pocket full of extra shells you could do nearly as much damage in a large crowd as Holmes did! I just wish the left wing, liberal, Obozo/Bloomingidiot following morons could get that through their THICK skulls!!!

    • Mark Are Reynolds

Every day people in far away distant lands that are in no way a threat to us are bombed, shot and killed by predator drones for no reason. Way more than are killed a year by all the nut cases in this country. And no one seems to care about that. But hey…it’s the GOOBERMENT doing it, so it’s got to be “ok”.

    • AJ

And even more so in Germany and the UK where guns are already banned.

      • Karolyn

        And they have less crime.

      • Nadzieja Batki

Karolyn, you must mean some other Germany and UK that don’t exist in reality.

      • Karolyn

What i said was arrived at via my research while I was working in the sexual assault/domestic violence arena. I didn’t see you posting anything to refute it. Since we have the highest incarceration rate, wouldn’t it seem logical that our crime rate is highest? We live in one of the most violent countries in the world.

      • newhomestead

What about the Swiss? The Swiss government issues each adult citizen an assault rifle and trains him/her in its use. The Swiss have the lowest rate of gun-related crime of any industrialized nation.

  • Chester

What everyone fails to consider is that he broke NO laws, other than possibly those concerning solicitation for sex, during his whole time in school, and out of school. Another thing to remember is that a grant is just that, a gift. I will allow that it was given to allow him to continue in his studies, which he did for a while. Once he had met the letter of the law, the money was HIS to use as he saw fit Just because we don’t necessarily agree with what he saw fit to do with this money doesn’t mean he broke any laws using it until the time he walked into that theater and started blazing away. Oh, has anyone noticed? His AR-15 has been translated to an AK-47 by the presidential writers.

    • Vigilant

“What everyone fails to consider is that he broke NO laws…”

I think it’s a little speculative and premature to say that, given the fact that a wealth of evidence is yet to be disclosed.

    • Mark Are Reynolds

That’s because AK 47 is “bad. AR 15 is “good”.

      • phideaux

Rgw AR-15 is only good if you can present the AK as worse.

Who got the cell phone call and held the theater-emergency-door open…

Why didnt this guy use the 30 home made bombs he had? He only used weapons Obama wants banned.

Obviously bombs are more effective, but home made bombs are already illegal.

  • Nobody’s Fool

I submit that James Holmes is red-green color blind. Note his red spray painted hair. He claims his favorite bad guy is The Joker. The Joker’s hair is green. I rest my case.

But seriously, the guy has serious problems. I would not jump right in and say the government used mind control on him, but it does make sense what with the UN gun grab treaty looming. Many of the other mind-controlled idiots who blindly jump on any band wagon that offer free food and lodging and citizenship will be easily manipulated into supporting more stringent gun control laws, thinking that will end the problem of shootings. It will, except that deranged people like Mr. Holmes will always be able to get guns. Law abiding citizens will be the ones disarmed and unable to protect themselves.

    • eddie47d

The James Holmes will indeed be able to buy his weapons of choice because it is always open season at the gun dealers. These shootings are a bonanza for gun sellers and always have been. If you want to look at conspiracy theories then why not look at their profit incentive in keeping these drama moving forward. I know that is cruel to the honest gun owners but it’s not much different than a firefighter starting fires so he won’t lose his job…. Maybe a drug dealer who get’s his clients hooked so he will have a steady supply of customers. Absurd? Not any more nutty than trying to drag the CIA into the conversation.

    • cawmun cents

He was only the Joker while he was in the theatre… perhaps you do not fully comprehend what it takes to be Nobody’s Fool?-CC.

  • Joe L

Maybe if some legally armed citizen had been at that theatre they may have been able to put him down sooner. Just another way to argue the gun rights issue. I’m sure the first liberal response will be how a shootout amongst civilians would’ve been even worse. I would disagree. I think the people shot in this incident would’ve welcomed it.

Laws that forbid the carrying of arms disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants.
    - Thomas Jefferson

    • eddie47d

Another knee jerk answer from the guns will save the day crowd. Think about actual war situations were dozens of civilians get killed from the crossfire of bullets flying around. The shooters in those situations (on both sides) aren’t concerned about the body count or who get whacked. Then put that scenario in a darkened movie theater where you can’t see squat. So in certain situations there would be more deaths not less.

      • HH

Eddie don’t be such a retard! No responsible gun owner/carrier would blindly pull out their weapon and go blazing with no target in sight. Responsible concealed weapon carriers don’t shoot unless they are ABSOLUTELY sure of what they are shooting at! In the Aurora theater situation, If there has been 2 or 3 CCW permit holders there with guns, I’m sure ALL of their guns would have been sighted in on Holmes NOT innocent bystanders!

        • macgver1948

HH… You are right up to a point. You speak of what “Responsible concealed weapon carriers” would do and that if great for them. What you say might work for them but the are many irresponsible weapon carriers who will not be as you claim and there agree many of them. And now there are states with laws will give border line murders a legal “right to murder someone.

For example, and we have have an example in Florida, some people feel they can start a fight and if the person they “punch” has the audacity to defend himself the starter can pull out his concealed and murderer him. Some might not murder because of the consequences but with the help of a law like that they feel they can get away with it. Then there are criminals who will go for the gun because it is just the easier thing to do and to hell with any legal consistences that might come later if they are caught.

Then you say “If there has been 2 or 3 CCW permit holders there with guns, I’m sure ALL of their guns would have been sighted in on Holmes NOT innocent bystanders!”. Well, we now have a war zone and it was crowded with innocent potential victims from either side of that war. You cannot predict the controlling of a situation like that so you cannot be “sure”, as you say you are. Once the lead flies the bullets do not stop until something stops them and the likely thing that stops them could be innocent people in a crowded theater. We can only hope that your (award winning master shooters and master anti-terrorists) CCW permit holders hit ONLY the terrorist.

By the way. I am very in favor of the Second Amendment. But I am not sure we civilians need assault weapons and I know the AR-15/M16 very well. Would I need one to shoot a deer or a rabbit for dinner?

    • Jazzabelle

      The theater had a no-firearms policy. :-(

      • http://Walker Richard

Geez, Jazzabelle, maybe the theater should charge Holmes for violating the no guns policy of theirs. The whole point you are missing is that you can have laws and policies all you want, but they will not stop a determined criminal intent on doing his dirty deed. This is why gun control only serves to deny guns to those that need them most – the law abiding citizens who become unarmed victims of the illegally armed criminals.

        • macgyver1948

Richard… I hate what you are saying but I agree with you. Signs are effective only for people who respect and will follow rules. Telling criminals to follow rules when it is not in their plan is as effective as trying to keep more deer safe by putting up “To all deer, please do not cross here” signs.

What self respecting criminal would respond to a call to turn in all guns? When the good guys turn in their guns only the cops, military and the criminals will have guns. I bet the Founders would not like this.

  • sj

Once you have performed due dilagence on the biggest most important ” conspiracy theory ” of our time ,911. It becomes very easy to plug in a few more. Because you then have something very dangerous – an open mind.

    • Mark Are Reynolds

We certainly can’t ever believe “our” gooberment would do something like that! I figured out that they have been lying since the inception of this nation, so what is new? Actually they’ve been lying FOREVER. That is what PSYCHOPATHS do best.

  • AJFrench

What should be investigated is who paid him to do it. He probably didnt even know he had real bullets and turned himself in because he knew he would be released for the prank and felt no fear from the law. he was immediately doped to shut him up. A cell watch is necessary. As soon as Obama signs the gun treaty, the kid might be murdered in his cell making it look like a suicide. He wasnt acting crazy, he was given a drug that if given in excess could kill him. He couldnt even stay awake. And aids is not a desease extracted from monkies; it was created by the government to reduce the population in Africa.

    • Vigilant

I think it’s time for YOU to get off the psychotropic drugs you’re on.

    • Mark Are Reynolds

WHO KNOWS? Your theory is as plausible as what I’ve heard so far. It would answer why he didn’t shoot at cops or let them enter his dwelling for a surprise.

  • Dad

Well, it is not a quantum leap to suspect foul play from this administration when you consider that they instituted a program which armed foriegn drug catels resulting in the killing of hundreds of people… including at least one INS agent.
    Hard to ignore facts…

    • eddie47d

You’re making a quantum leap yourself. The Fast and Furious program was in the works before this administration took office. All parties are guilty of this bad deal including private gun dealers who have been selling to the Cartels for years. Obama,Bush and those private gun dealers are all as guilty as sin. Just because the US government is the number one gun dealer in the world who is willing to sell the latest weaponry for allegiance doesn’t mean there aren’t other culprits plying their trade. Let’s lay out all the facts.

      • CZ52

Yes eddie lets lay out all the facts not your speculation, distortions and outright lies. Here is one lie from you, you claim F&F was continued from the Bush administration it was NOT. There was a similar operation called Wide Receiver under Bush however it was quickly ended when it was discovered they could not track the weapons even with RF chips in them and only involved about 400 guns. In Fast and Furious there was NO attempt to follow the guns after the sale. BATF deliberately let approximately 2,500 guns go with no follow up.

      • CZ52

One thing I forgot, Wide Redeiver was done with the full knowledge, co-operation, and assistance of the Mexican government. Fast and Furious was kept secret from the Mexican government.

      • eddie47d

Not to defend F&F since it was a boondoggle but the reason the Mexican government wasn’t notified is because they are often in cahoots with the Cartel members. That tip off could have gotten more agents killed.

  • Bill Scantlen

Bloomberg and his call for police to strike. What a simpleton! He must not have read the Federal District court’s ruling in DC that the police have no duty to protect citizens.

    • Nadzieja Batki

Bloomberg and his kind hope that Americans as a general rule are simpletons and can be convinced that Bloomberg’s ideas will work.

      • vicki

Judging from how the people keep voting Bloomberg, feinstein, Pelosi, Reid and others it is not hard to believe that Americans are simpletons. Or that election fraud is far beyond the little pieces that have been unearthed.

And there is the election of obama in 2008……

  • Lawrence

Does anyone really believe in this as a coincidence?

    • Karolyn

Uh, yesssss! During their 20s is the time when mental illness shows up in males. everything that has been said about him so far points to it.

  • GW

This is a tragedy- and should never happen again. No person should be victimized for any reason at any time. Not physically, as happened here, financially, emotionally, mentally, etc., etc. To conflate the actions and mindset of Holmes, if the reported account bears out, with the 70 million+ law-abiding gun owners in this country is fallacious,at best, and manipulative and deceitful at worst (never let a goood crisis go to waste). As a cohort, the gun owners in this country are amongst the most law-abiding- certainly by percentage much more so than the members of Congress, judiciary, FBI, military, law enforcement, etc. Holmes’ real problem is not that he is a “GUN OWNER”- he is a sociopath or a psychopath.(if the reported accounts prove true) I would guess nearly every person victimized in this country is done so by a sociopath or a psychopath. What happened to the millions of families dispossessed as a result of the willful and deliberate formation of a scheme to issue mortgages and then bet they would fail by certain financial moguls and operatives who then profited to the tune of billions of dollars represents a crime of Biblical proportions. I am not saying one is worse than the other- both have had a profound effect on society, both were perpetrated by sociopaths/psychopaths and should never be allowed to happen again. The real problem here is that sociopaths and psychopaths operate freely at all levels of society- they exist among the very poor, and the very rich, the illiterate and the highly educated, introverts and extroverts. And, as Bob has repeatedly pointed out, to his eternal credit, these sociopaths and psychopaths are conditioned from a very early age to seek positions of power from which to perpetrate their particular manias with impunity. Gun ownwership,as well as Government, religion, military, law enforcement, corporations, etc. all offer the power structures which these poor twisted people seek. Society cannot function without these systems (including the God-given right to protect oneself, family or even strangers in a restaurant as happened just days before this incident)- the answer is NOT to abolish gun ownership, government etc but to assure that sociopaths and paychopaths can not use them.
ANYONE SEEKING POSTIONS OF POWER ANYWHERE WITHIN SOCIETY ESPECIALLY GOVERNMENT MUST PROVE THAT THEY ARE NOT SOCIOPATHIC AND PSYCHOPATHIC ON A REGULAR AND CONTINUAL BASIS. IN FACT ALL SOCIOPATHS AND PSYCHOPATHS MUST BE IDENTIFIED AND MONITORED AND IF NEED BE SEQUESTERED AND REMEDIATED. Note I did not say punish- I beleive these people suffer from these afflictions not as a result of willful choice but of certain circumstances beyond their control- but they must be deprived of the ability to victimize others nonetheless.
Standardised testing can help- experts in this field know more than I do- but here are some ideas

Just a suggestion. But imagine the answers one might receive from officials past and present, say maybe Henry Kissinger.
Thomas Jefferson said that a person in public office belongs to the people. Some in the government seem to want to peer into every aspect of every citizen’s life. It is true a sociopathic/psychopathic citizen can do harm to others and should be restrained. But the harm a sociopath/psychopath can wreak while holding a position of power, especially while in government, is infinitely worse in both quantity and quality and possibly a threat all life on this planet, and thereby merits even closer scrutiny and a greater sense of alarm and concern

    • Mark Are Reynolds

RIGHT ON! And Robert Hare has discovered a way to figure out who a psychopath is with a simple test! I am CONVINCED that they are genetic mutations miss wired so that remorse is not an emotion that they are capable of. As a matter of fact the answer is that civilization, as we know it, is largely the creation of psychopaths. All civilizations, our own included, have been built on slavery and mass murder. Psychopaths have played a disproportionate role in the development of civilization, because they are hard-wired to lie, kill, cheat, steal, torture, manipulate, and generally inflict great suffering on other humans without feeling any remorse, in order to establish their own sense of security through domination. The inventor of civilization – the first tribal chieftain who successfully brainwashed an army of controlled mass murderers – was almost certainly a genetic psychopath. Since that momentous discovery, psychopaths have enjoyed a significant advantage over non-psychopaths in the struggle for power in civilizational hierarchies – especially military hierarchies.

Behind the apparent insanity of contemporary history, is the actual insanity of psychopaths fighting to preserve their disproportionate power. And as their power grows ever-more-threatened, the psychopaths grow ever-more-desperate. We are witnessing the apotheosis of the overworld – the overlapping criminal syndicates that lurk above ordinary society and law just as the underworld lurks below it.

During the past fifty years, psychopaths have gained almost absolute control of all the branches of government. You can notice this if you observe carefully that no matter what illegal thing a modern politician does, no one will really take him to task. All of the so called scandals that have come up, any one of which would have taken down an authentic administration, are just farces played out for the public, to distract them, to make them think that the democracy is still working.

  • Karolyn

I keep posting this hoping someone will have something to contribute but have received no feedback – Why Colorado? Three of the most publicized and worst public killings/massacres have happened in Colorado.

    • TIME

      Dear Karolyn,

Perhaps a few better question’s are.

#1, Why was the most publised photo of the bald man with beard crying and holding others, who JFTR – is alledged to have taken AZ Congress person Gabby Giffords seat in Congress, so why is it he is at this event again?

#2, Why the girl with brown hair who was interviewed the same person who was also at the VA Tec event just a few years back?

#3, Where is the “new” CIA Headquarters?

#4, Where is the “NEW” NSA Headquarters?

#5, Just what is it that the Military base dose again?

      Thats just a few questions.

Of course, this was a conspiracy, Mr. Rolley, and I bet you all know who was behind it, that evil monster, Hitler, Communist, greatest mass killer in world history, and the man who has single-handedly destroyed America plus slaughtered millions of old people with his death panels, and gassed tens of millions to death at his FEMA camps, none other than Barak Hussein Obama. Obama did it! I am sure that most of the contributors to this blog would agree. But of course none of THEM are extremist, dimwitted, paranoids. No quite to the contrary, they are all great American patriots. And gun-owners to boot, God Bless them.

I have been saying this for a long time !! People would look at me like I was off my rocker. Now that it’s starting to show up in print, They are thinking on their own . I think the major shooting around the Country are orchestrated in the name of gun control to convince people that guns are bad. Look what Hillery is trying to do with the help of the UN. People have got to take a stand and look at what has happened in other Countries that have lost their right to own guns. If they succeed, Americas way of life is gone forever.

    • mark

If they succeed, Americas way of life is gone forever. Good, I hope, they succeed bcause our way of life stinks to high heaven. But unfortunately, they won’t. As anyone with even 3 brain cells knows (and this exempts most member of the NRA), It takes 67 votes in the Senate to ratify any treaty. Right now a UN treaty restricting US gun ownership would only get about 2 votes. So do the math, Einstein.

      • Joe L

If the people really want guns to go away than getting the 2/3 necessary wouldn’t be a problem. You are just upset because you are not getting your way so you are now whining about it. Insulting the majority doesn’t make your point any more valid. How does it feel being outmanuevered by a bunch of people with only a few brain cells and what does that say about your mental abilities. hmmm.

“Firearms are second only to the Constitution in importance; they are the peoples’ liberty’s teeth.” – George Washington

      • Mike

Anti-social types do not need guns to create mayhem. In China last year a man killed numerous children at a day care center with just a knife. Anti-Russian forces blew up a building killing dozens, then there are the subway gassers, etc.

Crazy or terrorist types will always find a means to do their evil. Taking away ALL guns will not stop them. Holmes didn’t need guns to kill all those people in the theater. He knew how to make bombs. He actually might have killed more with some sort of incendiary device. I am certain some of those who escaped owe their lives to the fact he chose the guns instead of a fire creating device.

Look back at history and examine what happened every time the people were disarmed. Mayhem, mass executions. Russia, China, Germany to name a few teach us what happens when a government has total power over its people.

Guns are NOT about the right to go hunting. The founding fathers lived under an oppressive ruler. They penned the second amendment because they intended for the people to have the right to remove a tyrannical government if the need should ever arise. We now have a government that has spent our grandchildrens earnings before they are even old enough to hold a job. It has enacted freedom restricting measures on many fronts. Spy cameras, people grope you if you need to fly, there were warrant less phone taps. The government is getting abusive and intruding into our privacy. It has to stop. This is happening NOW even with the people armed. What the hell do you think will happen if the people give up their arms?

      • Nadzieja Batki

Your little world of your own making must stink. There are countless millions who love this country.

      • Mark Are Reynolds

Mark thinks that only three groups of people should own guns…CRIMINALS which he supports by disarming us, PSYCHOPATHS in the government and PSYCHOPATHS in the POLICE DEPARTMENTS. All the rest of us are just not capable of protecting ourselves. Personally I’d like to see those with his mindset get mugged good because that seems to change a lot of folks minds about gun ownership quickly. Maybe while he is being mugged he can be raped too. Oh, and Mark, please put a sign in your front yard…NO GUNS HERE! I believe in the inherent goodness of CRIMINALS. They won’t hurt me if I don’t resist.

I am waiting for some ignorant idiot to start showing Holms in a picture when he was just a child and proclaim some liberal explanation why Bush had influence in his early childhood .. There is another excuse for the 2nd ammenment to be one of our most important rights. . The theater had no firearms rules posted . Therefore the jocker knew he was free to do.

  • gmalarki

If Mr. Holmes simply wanted to kill a lot of people, he goofed. He should have acquired political office by election or coup d’etat as a socialist politician. After all, anything done for a PROGRESSIVE purpose is good and wonderful as I learned from no less a teacher than the late Dr. Benjamin Spock (Soo Theatre, April 22, 1971).

From driving drunk off a bridge drowning the passenger in your car, to murdering all the citizens of Duc Duc village, to starving to death nine million Ukranians, to poisoning hundreds at Jonestown, to the “Great Leap Forward,”, to…well…you get the ideal. When you are a socialist, anything you do is good and holy as long as it somehow advances the cause. “To make an omlet you have to break a few eggs.”

Just think, as a socialist politician, he could have had whole armies, navies, and secret police forces to help hims with his murders and the mainstream media would have applauded.

    • Joe L

I’m not quite sure how Chappaquiddick is relavent to your arguement. What progressive agenda did that incident serve?

    • Mark Are Reynolds

MORE! MORE! MORE! You figured it out!

  • 1776

It reeks of a staged attack. How did an unemployed guy afford all those weapons, ammo & body armor??

    • Karolyn

Duh! You must not be reading all the facts. He had a $26,000 expense allotment with his education grant that is given to exceptional graduate students. He must have been going downhill for a while, since his grades were slipping; and when he failed a test is when everything started.

      • independent thinker

If Holmes did in fact receive an education grant it would have been given to him at the begining of the school term and a good chunk would have gone towards his rent, books and supplies, tuition, and other school expenses. How much I don’t know but you would have to research that before you can claim that is where he got his money to purchase several thousand dollars (up to 10,000 by some estimates) in guns, ammunition, and body protection.

      • Karolyn

What I heard is that the $26,000 was stircctly for living expenses, beyond school expenses. It is a special grant for brilliant graduate students.

      • independant thinker

Here is what I found in a quick search. It is from an article in the inquisitor.

“The federal government education grant that James Holmes received totaled $26,000 and “paid his tuition for the highly competitive neuroscience program at the University of Colorado in Denver,” reports CBS News”

  • AJ

Holder said that the government must now think about the way in which the shooter acquired his AR-15, two Glock handguns, Remington shotgun, body armor and thousands of rounds. Why doesn’t he ask the two CIA handlers on the scene? Why don’t we hear in the news the following: That his father, Robert Holmes, was said to have been scheduled to testify within the next few weeks before a US Senate panel on the largest bank fraud scandal in world history that is currently unfolding and threatens to destabilize and destroy the Western banking system.
Robert Holmes, whose “blueblood” family links go back to the Mayflower, is known throughout the global banking community as being the creator of one of the most sophisticated computer algorithms ever developed and is credited with developing predictive models for financial services; credit and fraud risk models, first and third party application fraud models and internet/online banking fraud models.
Educated at the University of California, Berkeley and Stanford University, Robert Holmes is currently the senior lead scientist with the American credit score company FICO, which was formally known as Fair, Isaac and Company, and which every American citizen is beholden to should they need to borrow money.
The massive banking crime being investigated by the US Senate is called the LIBOR Scandal where UK banks fixed the London Interbank Borrowing Rate with the complicity of the Bank of England, the US Federal Reserve (which knew about this crime for 4 years and didn’t report it) and many other major Western banks.
Not known to the majority of those affected by this LIBOR rate scandal (which is everyone in the world) is that its historically low setting of interests rates since the beginning of the Global Financial Crisis of 2007-2012 has done more to destroy the life savings, stock investments and retirements of Americas middle class than any other single event in their entire history.
Even worse, according to this report, Holmes recently completed his work on what is called one of the most sophisticated computer algorithms ever developed that not only uncovered the true intent of this massive fraud, but is, also, able to trace the Trillions of Dollars “lost” to the exact bank accounts of the elite classes who have stolen it.
Ministry intelligence officials note in this report that it is “no coincidence” that this Colorado massacre occurred within minutes of London’s Guardian News Service releasing their shocking report this past Saturday (21 July) titled “Wealth Doesn’t trickle Down – It Just Floods Offshore, Research Reveals” as Robert Holmes algorithms were said used to discover this massive fraud scheme.
Why don’t we also hear in the mainstreem media this:
that the American intelligence website TheIntelHub.Com in their 23 July article titled “Hallmarks of a False Flag: Colorado University Held Identical Drill on Same Day as Aurora Theater Mass Shooting, Mind Control, and Multiple Suspects” states that just mere hours before this shocking crime was committed the Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine was holding an identical drill that simulated a shooter in a movie theater.
The popular InfoWars.Com website further notes that “false flag” events such as the Colorado massacre are actively planned for by the US Army as noted in their training manual titled “Foreign Internal Defense Tactics Techniques and Procedures for Special Forces”.
Even though the true objective of this massacre was may never be known, it is more than interesting to note that some in the “mainstream”US media are not accepting the “official line,” such as Fox News reporter Ben Swann from their WXIX-FOX19 station out of Cincinnati, Ohio, who asks:
“Why did Holmes go to the expense and trouble of rigging his apartment with an array of deadly explosives and then immediately tell police about the bombs when he was arrested? If Holmes wanted to kill as many people as possible, why warn the cops ahead of time? Given the fact that Holmes was a graduate student in neuroscience, where did he obtain the skills to create a maze of bombs so complex that it took the FBI two days to disarm them? According to experts, the intricacy of the bombs was reminiscent of war zones – how could Holmes have set all this up without help from an explosives expert?
Despite police claiming “every single indicator” tells them the shooting was a lone wolf attack, numerous witnesses have described accomplices. Initial police reports that suggested the involvement of two or more shooters were quickly buried and the lone wolf narrative aggressively pushed.
As Swann points out, eyewitnesses interviewed after the shooting such as Corbin Dates state that Holmes received a phone call from someone while he was inside the theater and responded by moving to the emergency exit, suggesting the call was an accomplice coordinating the attack.
Dates also said he saw Holmes by the exit door “signaling somebody or looking for somebody to come his way.
Another eyewitness added, “From what we saw he wasn’t alone – he had someone with him. Because the second can of tear gas didn’t come from his side.”

      AJ, Question:
If what you say about the father is true I would say this guys parents are pretty well to do financially, how in the hell did he qualify for a $26,000 education grant? I have a friend who had to pay all tuitions except for a small scholarship his very smart high IQ son got. The education mindless grantors looked into his dad’s, step moms, moms and all 3 sets of grandparents financial abilities and then turned the son’s request down for any grants to a state college due to him having too many sources of affordablity. Makes absolutley zero sense.

        Different state
        Different school
        Different degree program
Different rules for that specific program
Government interference for their own purposes
        Other unknown reasons

Choose any or all of the above as an explanation.

I would not doubt that this gentleman was given a subliminal order by an entity who had a persona agenda not against those who died. So, this persons mind is sleeping and awakens when certain movies of his liking are evident. He is living in a fantasy world where assasins would not normally get caught. We don’t know when God will summoned us to our final destination, either.

I cant find a good place to put this. The presentation that the email directed me to bleeds off the sides of the allotted space so it’s hard to read. When I clicked ‘comments’ I came to this – no where to really tell you about this tech problem. So here it is.
Free speech is important to me. It should be readable.

John Makavich in the movie Cliff Hanger made an interesting scripted statement…He said, kill one person they call you a murder, kill a dozen they call you a mass murderer, kill a few million they call you a conqueror. Go figure.

AURORA — The following is a timeline of actual events that took place just after the mass shooting was reported to 911 in a Colorado theatre during a midnight showing of the new Batman film:

6 MIN 46 SEC… “One of the shooters is wearing white and blue clothing”

16 MIN. 47 SEC… Cops describe one of the suspects as male, dressed in black camo, vest, gas mask, and possessing multiple long guns.

    Sam Rolley…
“We have tried to come up with a better system with our instant background checks so that we have the ability to make sure that people who have emotional problems, people who have felony records, other people cannot get access to these kinds of weapons,” Holder said.

Well, why would a criminal go thorough this system when he would want a gun? They all have that “I want it now” thing so why wait and risk being caught? The gun “system” has a chance of working for most honorable citizens at best. Between the Internet and the black market criminals can get guns so much easier and faster than the good guys can. How will taking away the Second Amendment stop criminals from getting their toys?

“New York Nanny Mayor Michael Bloomberg suggested that police officers throughout the country should go on strike until the 2nd Amendment is suspended”. Wow, I would bet, even with the strike, the criminals would love it. Some time I wonder about politicians. Well, more than some time.

I also think it doesn’t accomplish anything to associate this kid with groups like TEA and Occupy Wall Street. There are good and some bad people in both groups but associations like that only cause more disgruntled people on both sides. Get a “proof” of the connection and then make claims. It is bad press to not totally pre-check your sources.

Sam Rolley. You are allegedly being very kind with your use of the word ”allegedly“ in your article in regard to this suspect. I have a funny question. Is an accused killer/thief/whatever ”allegedly“ or “guilty”, or even innocent “until” for that matter, to his/her victims and eye witnesses from the time of the crimes? If I were a victim or an eye witness to a crime wouldn’t I be committing perjury if I used the term ”allegedly“ when referring to the defendant while I was under oath? It would be misleading in a court situation where hopefully the truth (the whole truth and nothing but…) is ”allegedly“ the goal. I often wondered about that when watching and reading about trials.

Look at how many of you took the bate and ran with it. A little bit of conjecture thrown out on the lawn and everyone pounces as if it’s meat. It’s nothing. Drop it. I think the Aurora shooter was a secret muslim, and i don’t believe he was born in this country despite what his pass port says. Let’s get the donald on to it.

  • Alan

Gun control? Funny, but in my many years here on planet earth i’ve never even heard of a gun being brought to trial for murder, or even for conspiracy for that matter….lol!

    • macgyver1948

There is a good reason for that. The gun can only respond to the brain which told the finger to pull the trigger, LOL….

  • Silas Longshot

Yeah, people didn’t believe ‘fast & furious’ either. How’s that one sitting now? The guy’s facebook page photo (way up the list from me on this post) comparison of the ‘shooter’ as posted ‘before and after’ the shooting, they are flat out NOT the same person. Superficial comparison reveals differences in the eyes, eyebrows, nose, probably the color of the eyes.

    • Buster the Anatolian

Exactly right Silas. They are two different persons although they do have a superficial resemblance.

What pisses me off is the idiotic statement about the internet: “more online spying by government agencies would catch people like him before they act.”..

This is a lie! This can not work!! The internet can not determine a pervert from a red neck from a serial killer from a normal surfer.. Only words can offer suspicion and that’s what the gestapo will use.. Words. Now, as we sometimes use certain key words to describe our irritation, we (the un-terrorists, the un-mass murderers) will be targeted right along with the Holmes’ of the Nation. The camps will be filled to over flowing within the year and the majority of us will be like the casual marijuana smoker within the current prison system. If we allow the feds to do this AND ban all guns, it will be our epitaph.

  • Bimbam

Some one is pushing the buttons here.

Look at oBama. Clearly unqualifed to be president yet there he is sitting at the White House. In fact many in our three branches of government are unqualifed to be there, like Nancy Pelosi, Sotamayor, Kagan, and the goofy inmature Mayor Bloomberg who wants to pretend he taller than 5′ 8″.

Were being played for patsies everywhere you look when it comes to our government. But it is not funny, it is in fact very dangerous! No one seems to be taking it seriously as obvious as to what kind of leaders we are putting in.

Why is he in protective custody? Put him in the general population. Justice will be served. Also, he’s not nuts. He had the smart sense to walk out of that theater and wait fo the cops. And EVERYONE should stop the bull about this massacre. It only plays into the hands of this clown.

  • Maynard

A goal of the military industrial establishment is to remove weapons from the people so that the measures they are putting into place (Homeland Security, the Patriot Act, NDAA 2012, and $63 billion domestic drone programs , for example) have little or no armed opposition.
The Aurora incident does not have apparent indications of another government conspiracy as far as we know. It is a healthy practice to keep an open mind and search for possible connections.
I disagree, respectfully, with Vanguard, that 9/11 and the anthrax attacks have no relevance to this discussion, for the simple reason that it is about whether or not the government will commit atrocities to further its agenda.
Of course, I believe that the conspiracy theory that the 9/11 atrocities were perpetrated by a small band of Muslim extremists is the “nuttiest conspiracy theory of all.” I could go into great depth on the matter, but let me just put forth two “smoking guns.” The cover-up: No first responders, the true heroes of 9/11, not the posturing politicians, were allowed to testify before the Phillip Zelikow (Israeli-US dual citizen and Bush insider who was the excecutive director) controlled 9/11 Commission. The janitor of almost 20 years who courageously unlocked stairway exits and was one of the last out alive, William Rodriguez, was feted as a hero at the White House, but when he reported hearing a sub-basement level explosion before the jet hit, his testimony was withheld from the final report. Other mentions of explosions were also withheld such as that of Barry Jennings who heard explosions while trapped inside Building Seven. Building Seven’s demolition was not even discussed. He was threatened with losing his job if he persisted in talking about it. Like Dan Rather and Brian Jennings, he was not heard talking about controlled demolition after the first few days. The Commission not only ommitted facts but they also covered up evidence. Although Dick Cheney had admitted to being in the bunker when the Pentagon was hit, the Commission changed his time of arrival there to 10:00. This flies in the face of his statements on Meet the Press with Tim Russert in September. Furthermore, Secretary of Transportation Norman Mineta, testified to observing Cheney receiving updates on Fl 77′s approach after his arrival at about 9:15. Mineta’s testimony was also kept out of the final report, but he was videotaped and his original statements can still be seen on the internet. An aspect of the cover-up is the fact that the President and Vice President both refused to promptly initiate hearings, to testify publicly, and to testify separately.

The second smoking gun is the anthrax letters. Made to look as if they were sent by Muslims, we eventually discovered the anthrax DNA let back to US weapons labs. We also learned that the White House insiders secretly started taking anti-anthrax antibiotics Three WEEKs BEFORE the first known threat. The first victim, Robert Stevens, had published a photo of Jenna Bush drunk and sitting on another girl’s lap. There is no known connection between him and the eventual scapegoat, Bruce Ivins. Ivins “committed suicide” before he was even accused, he was then cremated WITHOUT autopsy. The scientists familiar with his work reported he did not have the necessary equipment to weaponize the anthrax which requires changing the anthrax into a form that can be readily dispersed. The government had prepared studies on how to do this. The government leaks that had initially tried to pin it on Saddam Hussein had proved false.
Need more false flags? The Gulf of Tonkin, the incubator babies in Kuwait, WTC ’93, The Oklahoma City Bombings, and the underwear bombers. The reason the government started using torture is that you can cover your tracks by getting confessions. Any one will confess to anything with repeated duress. They waterboarded the same persons hundreds of times, for example.

  • http://MTGIRL Kathy Benninger

It makes sense to me – I never used to believe in conspiracy theories – especially where the US government is concerned – but with this administration – I truly believe they’ll do anything and everything it takes to get their agenda going.
I believe the feds already have the internet and phone services tapped. I am very careful what I say on the phone and in these blogs.
I have heard people at work comment that there should be a way to “know” what someone is ordering online, so those “strange” purchases can be monitored. I just comment that I don’t want the feds knowing all that I buy.
But how convenient that while the feds are trying to get control of the internet, and they are trying to pass the small arms treaty, this tragedy should occur.
Perhaps Holmes is not faking as he walks around and denies knowledge of the events at the theater.

    • macgyver1948

Kathy Benninger… You have every right and reason to be concerned about the phones. Thanks to GW Bush and Home Land Security they do not need a warrant to listen into any and all calls they feel like. The Constitution was weakened on that one.

The Internet is an easy listen-into for them and they do that too.

  • rob

The UGLY truth most liberals and the liberal thinkers on here dont want to face as is “Karolyn’s comment. US does have a high incarceration rate, and violent crimes, WHICh they think will be solved by gun control BUT they want diversity. YET they wont dare state the FACT that 90% of violent crimes are committed by MINORITIES. THIS is why this white guys crime is all over news yet whne a couple were sodomized , tortured and cut into pieces by SIX black men and a women, together (the Shannon Christian murder) NO NATIONAL NEWS was made! If they want gun control to be fair then it would have to be gun control of the most likely offenders, which would mean blacks and hispanics should not be allowed guns. Look at Norway..99% of all rapes were committed by the minorites that were forced upon thier country by the UN immigration layout. Facts hurt..but their facts…eat that one up Obama

    • macgyver1948

Rob…, Speaking as a Liberal, who is it you think per Karolyn’s comment- referring to Liberals “US does have a high incarceration rate, and violent crimes, WHICh they think will be solved by gun control BUT they want diversity”.

Let me interfere with your TEA programming for a moment and the fact that you show by agreeing with that comment you too feel you can think for others. WOW. I know many liberals and independants all over the country. I have never met any who thinks this doing away with the Second Amendment and/or having stricter gun control will “… violent crimes, WHICh they think will be solved by gun control”. You and yours have to be kidding if you think you have the ability to think for others – or something else. We do need gun control laws but not more laws, we need more enforcement.

Here is a hint. Doing away with legal guns will only leave the police, the Military and criminals with guns. DUH!!!! NYC proved that with their “Give up your guns for safety” campaign. The criminals loved it.

Do you ever get tired of being so wrong so often about us? That is your TEA programming.
