Chris Christie Rules Out Presidential Bid

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie announced Tuesday he will not seek the Republican nomination for President, according to nj.com.

In a jammed Statehouse news conference, Christie said, “What I felt was the right decision remains the right decision. Today is not my time. I will not abandon my commitment to New Jersey.”

Over the past several months, Christie has repeatedly said he would not seek the nomination only to have aides and advisers drop hints that he might run.

Christie, who has earned the adoration of both mainstream Republicans and the more conservative Tea Party wing, was viewed by some pundits and strategists as the best chance the party had to vote President Barack Obama out of office, according to nj.com.

Good. Just one more neo-CON, global warming pushing, illegal alien protecting Tic. A big fat hog to boot.

    • AlleninReality

Now if we could get rid of the other neocons, we would have a chance to defeat the neolibs.

    • Jeep

Agreed…Christie may be “the best” Conservatives could do in that liberal monstrosity of a state, but he is no true Conservative. And, he would not be good for the country.

      • bob wire

yea but what about his friends?

        • Jeep

I get it bob, you are “trolling” for a response…sorry, I don’t play your silly childhood games.

      • http://deleted Claire

Jeep– I agree with you–Christie is not the answer.

  • http://Personalliberty Tony

    To Everyone:
Chris Christie isn’t bad. As a matter of fact, he’s turning the N.J.
economy around. The problem is he doesn’t have enough experience. Give
him until 2016 or 2020, then he’ll be ready. Thanks!!

    • No fool

      Agree

    • bob wire

Hear that! let’s all move to New Juersey! Christie had got it under control.

      • http://deleted Claire

bob wire–I have friends in New Jersey that complain bitterly about the taxes and the issues. They are going to re-locate as soon as they can.

    • Wapitiman

As a New Jersey resident (who wishes he could get the hell out) I have seen administration after administration kick the can down the road to the extent we are literally bankrupt! Thanks to these inept and totally-corrupt politicians we enjoy probably the highest property tax as wellas the highest automobile insurance rates in the nation! Chris Christie is the first politician in my lifetime I have ever heard say, “We CAN’T AFFORD IT!”
This alone puts me in his corner. He went to battle with the entrenched tax bloodsuckers and won. God Bless him.
This begs the question: “Can our country stand an honest President?
If it’s true that we get the government we deserve…Do we deserve an honest President?

      • No fool

Of course we do. An honest president will not seek to line his own pockets but rather fight to restore our stolen freedoms. His biggest problem will be dodging the flying bullets from those who still seek to grab as much money as they can, to purposely destroy everything we have … such as Sorros.

  • Jayd

“They sell us the president the same way
They sell us our clothes and our cars
They sell us every thing from youth to religion
The same time they sell us our wars
I want to know who the men in the shadows are
I want to hear somebody asking them why
They can be counted on to tell us who our enemies are
But they’re never the ones to fight or to die”

    Jackson Browne

They are selling us our candidates but we, the people, are not buying. Ron Paul is the only one who is making sense, all the others are puppets of the shadow government and the NWO in the shadows, manipulating the feild.

    • Curtis Bostic

you are so right! I hope to God that Ron Paul gets in

      • Iva Raggon

How about Bill O’Reilly’s poll? …the one where he dismissed the results because Ron Paul and Herman Cain scored higher than Romney and Perry. He claimed that Ron Paul ad Herman Cain supporters “flooded” the polls (despite that it was technically impossible to vote more than once) because the poll did not give him the results he wanted. He threw out the Paul and cain votes and declared Romney the winner.

With even quasi-journalists like O’Reilly working against him, Ron Paul has an up hill battle.

I always thought O’Reilly was a sanctimonious jerk. This confirms my opinion.

        • metalflyer11

          RON PAUL 2012!!!
          O’Reilly is THE MASTER PINHEAD…..

      • Mary

The media don’t like Ron Paul. I believe no man can do anything for this country anyway no matter what party he is. We just vote for the less of the evils and now we are in the point of no return. This is getting uglier by the day and we haven’t seen nothing yet.

Who in the hell would want to inherit this buckwheat mess, Christie is smart to stay out of it.

    • bob wire

Buckwheat’s mess is it now? Try to keep the ball in the park if you can.

      • ADP

Buckwheats mess it is, right down to his little empty tinkle toes.
That bird has disgraced this Country and should be tried for treason.

      • http://deleted Claire

        It is all administrations’ mess.

        • ADP

AS we say here in Texas that crap don’t float.

          • http://deleted Claire

Whatever. I have my opinion and you have yours. Be assured I will keep my opinion.

  • nick beck

by the comments, it seems that some are finally getting it.

  • bob wire

Rats! I’d like to see him dressed down and come apart like a cheap suit on national television.

    • ADP

Your buckwheat is the one in a cheap empty suit:):)

      • http://deleted Claire

Seems to me there are plenty of “empty suits” on both sides.

  • chuckb

another rino dopwn the tubes, will romney and perry take the hint.

    • http://deleted Claire

chuckb—Good comment!! I heartily agree with you.

      • ADP

One lib kissing up on another lib .
        Nothing new move along.

        • http://deleted Claire

ADP–And WHO do you think you are? Move along yourself. You can call me anything you want, you will not hurt my feelings one bit. So don’t get too big for your britches with me. I fight back.

          • ADP

Libs-libertarians in my book are a lost cause.
I had a lawyer one time here in Dallas that was a libbie, I think he ran for Gov of Texas once.
Later I found out he lived off of widow women that needed his services as a lawyer.
He was one money hungry two-bit lawyer.

        • libertytrain

ADP you must be very new here that you don’t know the political leanings of some of the regs here and you’re awfully rude. Gosh, I already know I won’t take any interest in your comments with your foul style.

          • ADP

Libs the ruin of anything good & pure.

          • http://deleted Claire

ADP– I am openminded–I am not glued to any party–I am more concerned about voting for the best person possible. And I think Ron Paul is the one, especially in comparison to the other empty suits that are in the running. If you think I am a LIb, so be it. I no doubt have been called worse names in my lifetime so your opinion means nothing to me whatsoever.

          • libertytrain

Claire – newbies like this one come across as quite foolish to those of us familiar with each others beliefs and opinions. I think I was called a lib — you’re right, I’m sure there are a few worse things to be accused of…. :)

  • ONTIME

The guy is not ready to step up to the plate and he is smart enough to know he needs a stronger resume’. Even then he may not fit the bill ideologicially as a real republican and that may be his failing, I am simply not interested in putting anything less than a good conservative into office and I mean all of them. RINO’s are nothing more than libs in drag and I do not like them anymore than I do a self proclaimed lib. Let Christie go with his governorship and satisfy his constituents and then we can take a closer look.

    • ADP

A real republican conservative ended with Hoover, they do not tend to be elected.
History is not kind to the Hoover type of republicans.
The real reason FDR won by a landslide, would be lack of response to the peoples needs in the first great depression.
Plus prohibition, the first thing FDR did was to sign the bill to end it.
But sadly the Demorat party changed into what it is today a bunch of commies, union thugs and welfare creeps.
