Chicago Mayor Not To Seek Reelection, Will Rahm Emanuel Run?

September 10, 2010 by

Chicago mayor not to seek reelection, will Rahm Emanuel run?In a bittersweet development for conservatives and gun rights supporters in Chicago, the city’s Mayor Richard M. Daley made the surprising announcement that he will step down when his term ends, after more than 20 years in power. However, Rahm Emanuel, the political arch-enemy of many conservatives, has been mentioned as a possible replacement for Daley.

"I’ve always believed that every person, especially public officials, must understand when it’s time to move on," the mayor said during a news conference at City Hall. "For me, that time is now."

Among the reasons for Daley’s decision, commentators have mentioned his wife’s deteriorating health and a series of political setbacks, including a failed bid to host the 2016 Olympic Games and the Supreme Court’s vote earlier this year to strike down the city’s long-standing handgun ban.

Daley has become known as a vocal proponent of gun control during his tenure.

It appears that all eyes are now turning to Emanuel, President Barack Obama’s controversial chief of staff, who had previously been quoted as saying he would like to run for mayor of Chicago.

He still has some time to make up his mind as the mayoral general election is scheduled for Feb. 22, 2011.ADNFCR-1961-ID-19937320-ADNFCR

Rahm Emanuel for da mayor. Illinois start making plan to secede from the great state of Chicago. Just when you thought things couldn’t get worse, Chicago can find a way.

    • alpha-lemming

Most of the state has been dreaming of that day for a hundred years. Then they’d be forced to steal from themselves (primarily) instead of parasitizing down-state.

  • Denis Flaherty

He’s ready for Chicago-his Obummer training qualifies him to fit right in

    • http://PersonalLibertyDigest Jill

I wonder why he is running when the polls clearly show the President and his cabinet are most unpopular. He must know something we don’t. Like amnesty be declared a day or two before voting day or they are just going to outright cheat.

  • e. nies

It’s nice to see at least one Jackass go back to his own kind. One more crook should not upset Chicago too much!!!!

  • Robin from Arcadia, IN

Chicago has been such a mess for so long. Even if they did elect a conservative mayor, it would take decades to clean up that city.

  • http://gunner689 gunner689

If there was ever a candidate to be the anti-Christ, other than George Soros, it’s Ram Emanuel. What an enemy of America !!

  • Lou

Chicago needs term limits. Houston has term limits (three 2 year terms) and there is no corruption in city goverment. All elected officials should have term limits to avoid corruption, back door deal making, and brides.

    • Earl, QUEENS, NY

I agree with you Lou. There are just two problems. First, although we have term limits here, this mayor Mike Bloomberg thumbed his nose at them, and ran for a 3rd term. Secondly, I’m not a big fan of term limits, as I believe we already have the ability to limit politicians’ terms in office – that is, at the voting booths. IMO, the biggest dilemma here is that liberal democraps are always replaced with other liberal democraps. The only good thing about term limits is that if politicians had to go back to normal lives, they’d be reluctant to pass laws that they currently exempt themselves from, such as government health/hell care.

  • http://http/ john littlefield

we can find someone better than him.

    • ChuckL

Yep!!!! Just go to skid row.

    • Claire

      john littlefield– In Illinois–Where???

  • john

They call Chicago New Yorks sister city..they have obama and rahm emmanuel we have clinton and bloomberg and God help us the return of another Cuomo..makes me wish we were’nt related…whAT A COUNTRY

  • Bill Stanley

I hope Czar Obama’s chief-of-staff resigns to run for mayor … I do not live in Chicago.

  • Rush Housel

From what I have seen and learn about Rahm Emmanuel he’s not fit for public service. He’s a unscruplous corrupt mobster.

    • http://?? Joe H.

      Rush H,
Just run a GOOD conservative against him and let Daley retire. BOOM! take out two birds with one stone!! No daley, No rahm!!!

      • Claire

        Joe H– A true Conservative? In Illinois?? I sure can’t find him/her.

        • http://?? Joe H.

so find one, support him/her and make sure the people know about him/her!! You can let a lot of people know just by visiting as many conservative AND liberal sites you can! the liberal ones might only let you get ONE post in, make it GOOD!

          • Claire

JoeH–My husband is working on it. So far it seems some have a bit of a connection with Chicago. Joe, I just cannot vote for Kirk. He lied about his military record and receiving a military award. If he will lie about something as important as that he will lie about anything. Maybe I should “forgive” him but I have lost respect for him. I just don’t want to vote for liars. I want the truth. Is that too much to ask for in this world?

          • http://?? Joe H.

not only is it not too much to ask, it is what you should DEMAND of them. But we HAVE GOT to GET Nobama OUT in 2012!!!

          • Claire

Joe H– Someone good better run for POTUS. Duncan Hunter? Ron Paul? I am going to have to really think about this. At this moment, I cannot think of who I would like other than I think it should be someone that has no ties to either party. An Independent, a True Conservative, Libertarian? Gosh, if someone like this would be elected, it would shake the very core of the Dems and the Repubs. They would get their come-uppance in a hurry. Who would you like for POTUS?

  • patrick

Just get pretty little boy Emanuel out of Washington. Chicago has done a good job of expanding it’s population of liberal democrats and other entitlementalists by the millions. I’m glad they are locating there in a central location as it helps keep the reat of America free from their disease that is spreading so rapidly. We already have way too much clutter of shit politicans all over and illegal Kenyons now occupy the White House along with corrupt Justice dept. officials, speaker of the house idiot, Barney boy, Dodd boy, Janet Nipalotano, Harry scarry Reid. etc etc. I think we should by-pass the impeachment process and just prepare the Gallows for many hangings that will follow.

  • http://gmail i41

Yes send another crossbred Kenyan thug back to Shitcago. Of course what will Omoron do, when his rumper ranger Rahmy is back in windy city with out Barry, to get the pivot point going.

  • Bob S

But at least he served in the Military. OOPS sorry he served in the Israeli Army. Also a dual citizen.

  • s c

Little Rump DoMeManually is not just a jackass. He is a jackasses’s jackass. Little Rump hasn’t been able to get what he wants in Washington (awwwww). His Supreme Anointed One hasn’t been able to ‘produce’ (awwwww). Consequently, since Little Rump is fond of ‘the grass is always greener on the other side of the septic tank,’ it’s time for him to abandon The Anointed One, and go back to Chicago and show criminals, losers and thugs how the game is really played.
Good riddance! Now, let the floodgates open, and the rest of the two-legged trash can run back to LA, Chicago, Than Franthithco, Boston, Minneapolis and all of the other many cities where they can crawl under rocks and rub shoulders with lower-life forms – again.

  • Bruttus

Nothing better then a communist,Zionist mayor of Chicago. The saga of the “la family” continues just like a Mexican soap opera.

  • Roni

But remember that the other half of Obama’s brain will be taking Rahm’s seat as Chief of Staff. Ms. Valarie is also from Chicago, and was partially raised in Iran. She too is an American hater, but a huge fan of Van Jones and his plot to destroy America. What a crew is defecating on the floors of our White House! Michelle quite frankly told the American public that she did not like America, Obongo loves Kenya, and the rest are either from the far East or Chicago…humm, quite a resemblance. Rahm will fit into the Chi town Political Machine, there is no doubt. After all “it’s a shame to loose a good opportunity.”

    • Wanda ELLIA

Someone needs to tell Michelle since she doen’t like america we’d be more than happy if she left here and right away wouldn’t be soon enought.

      • e. nies

And take her husband under one arm and nancy and harry under the other arm.

        • http://?? Joe H.

          e. nies,
          Please don’t forget Bawney!!!!

  • L.J.

Having been born in Cook County and raised in Du Page, I know the politics of the Chicago machine and it’s extension into surrounding “collar” counties. That said, I’m glad Daley is going to be out but I’m sad he didn’t die like his corrupt father. How much did you say Daley is worth now compared to when he took office? Chicago politics is corrupt to the core and I will die before I would ever move back to that area or Illinois for that matter!

    • Chuck

I have to agree with you L.J. but the citizens also need to get rid of the corrupt city council. Crook county also needs to be purged of it corrupt pols. I left that city 13 years ago and vowed never to return. These Dems in Chicago have no clue to what needs to be done balance their budget. You cannot sell off everything that brings in revenue and hope to balance it. Good riddance Daley.

      • http://?? Joe H.

If daley doesn’t sell off everything worth anything, how’s he gonna make his millions????

        • Bob

I think that I will move to Chicago. Then I can vote when I die.

          • Claire

          • Jim H.

Bob, You think you’ll get to without a Daley there to rally the Chicago cemetery vote?

          • http://?? Joe H.

            Jim H,
Ih rahm is running it’s sure he’ll be able to run!!!!

          • http://?? Joe H.

sorry that was supposed to say it’s sure he will be able to vote!!!

  • Tim M

Hopefully after November, The only thing on Raums mind will be his defense team when he is charged for his crimes against this Nation!!!

  • Dave

There is only one bright light about Rahm leaving DC to return to Chicago — him leaving DC

  • http://none Henry Stumpf

Chicago deserves him and he deserves Chicago….. Both crooked and evil People and places.

  • Buddy

This “U”SA rally shouldn’t be one country.

  • patrick

The only good thing about Chicago is that is where the 2 blacks [offensive word removed] that murdered my brother, were arrested and thrown into Cook County Jail. Oh i better not forget to tell you all that one of the murders daddy is a Judge in Michigan. Too bad the NAACP and O.J.Simpson’s atty, Johnny Cock ran, could not get their normal racism charge, because of course it was a false charge, the 2 thugs were both found guilty of murder and they are now in prison. The trouble with the prison system these days is that all the black criminals change to become a Muslim for protection.

    • Claire

patrick– I am so sorry about your brother. I am glad the creeps were caught and convicted.
You made the comment about the criminals becoming muslim–you are correct. I have read this time and time again in manuscripts and it is happening. There are thousands of them now that have become muslim.

      • Fed Up Gal in NM

Patrick – So sorry to hear about what happened to your brother; God bless him and his/your entire family.

Patrick / Claire – The criminal conversion to Muslim faith/nationality (whatever their claim to be) seems very plausible. I have a relative who is a prison guard and she said many of the prisoners do convert to Muslim once imprisoned; hmmmmm Robert all of sudden becomes Muhammed. What a farce.

        • Claire

Fed Up Gal in NM–Yes, I would venture to guess at least half of the prisoners in prisons are converting to the muslim belief. I have read it in the books I edit. It is really becoming an item to be concerned about.

  • Chitown

Rahm is part of the Chicago corruption. Made his home a “non-profit” so he avoids real estate taxes, gets free school tuition for his kids in a private school by donating. The corrupt Elites of Chicago, Pritzkers, Daleys, etc., are using the minorities (blacks, hispanics, muslims, and asians) by giving them funding for “communities”. SEIU/Acorn using the University of Illinois as their outlet (where William Ayers teaches). With his buddies, Axelrod and Valarie Jarrett, they’re getting rich by forcing the poor minorities out of their neighborhoods so they can build high-end developments.

    • Meteorlady

Why do taxpayers put ip with subsidizing a college or professor that’s only reason for being is to promote a political point of view. Colleges are for learning and if they are publicly funded then points of view and political discussions should be left open forums but left out of the classroom. There are too many that profess to be teachers with agendas that are not good for Americans. I for one, hope that support for these colleges will stop if they cross the line between honestly presenting the subject they are teaching and preaching a political agenda.

The University of Chicago was the first college that was identified and a liberal, socialist and communist hotbed. Not too far fetched that it spread to the University of Illinois.

      • Fed Up Gal in NM

        Very well said!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Fed Up Gal in NM

Doesn’t surprise me in the least. The only sad thing about this is, there must be at least a few Chicagoan’s / Illinoisians who would love to clean house, but don’t have the numbers to do so…yet can’t afford to simply pack up and leave (especially in the current housing market). Except for those unfortunate ones, the rest of that city (and state) can just disappear by sponataneous combustion and it will not matter one little bit to me.

  • alpha-lemming

Is Chicago more akin to “thug college” (BHO) or the “thug major leagues” (Daleys pl.)???

  • Dr. Mabuse

The only place Rahm Eamnuel should run to is back to Israel.

    • Marten

      He’s already at home JerUSAlem…..

  • Warrior

All the crazies are starting to come out of the shadows in Chitown. Every ethnicity is laying claim to the Emperors position. Oblama backs Rahmy but Oblama is not the most powerful person in ILL. That title now belongs to Mikey Madigan who’s little girl Lisa is the state AG. We’ll just have to see what Mikey wants.

    • Claire

      Warrior–Very true.

  • Michaelmhi

  • Dave

Judging by the look of his eyeballs he has a substance abuse problem that is damaging his liver.

  • Gisela

Chicago must be some city where all the Mobs gather and rule and the residents put up with this then they are no better .I am glad I don’t live there

  • BC

How could we be so “knee deep”? While we were working, they have done their number on us!! WE ARE, however, ON TO THEIR ANTICS! JUST VOTE! PLEASE VOTE. You’d better bet their cronies will be voting. We cannot stay at home! Stay awake/Keep watch. Take THEM OUT!! “Out, out, damned spot…!”

    • NormP

As has been mentioned…there is NO one to vote for. The Progressives have both sides of the political aisle.

      • Meteorlady

NormP – find someone to run. Find a party to support other than the media recognized big two. It’s not easy I know, but I have ferreted out some pretty good people in my state that are running in other parties.

  • http://gmail i41

Shitcago is always been a corrupt sleazy rat hole. Socialist democraps thrive on a system that is corrupt and worst the tighter it is with the democrat party and the union. Just look at all the appointees Omoron has appointed, Gagin Kagin doesn’t know what rights are God given to us. She doen’t think we have any inalienable rights, feel great?

    • Meteorlady

There is a old book, short paperback, called “Don’t Blame Metro”. It’s about the communists at the University of Chicago and their social engineering ideas. Not sure if it’s still in print, but was taken seriously, though apparently not seriously enough, at the time it was written.

  • CJM

What better way than to keep the mafia in power—way to go Daley. Let’s hope the people of Illinois wake up and smell the coffee; you’d think they have had enough of political corruption.

    • Claire

CJM– I have lived here for most of my life. I have never seen anything like it. It is a matter of voting for the lesser of two evils or just don’t vote at all. I agree, for the life of me, why do people keep voting the for same shysters? Blago was re-elected. How did this happen? I sure didn’t vote for him. It was unbelievable. Look at the past governors that were put in prison–Democrat and Republican. In the primary this past February–I cast a vote for a guy I thought would be okay, I certainly had a rude awakening. They all have their “baggage.” They have all been caught in lies so now I have to vote in November-who do I vote for? It is an impossible situation as far as I am concerned.

      • Meteorlady

People! Stand up and get candidates running in other parties. Libertarian, Conservative, anything other than Republican or Democrat. Vote for Ron Paul for president in 2012 – the voice of reason and fiscal conservatism.

        • Claire

Meteorlady–Stand up? What the heck do you think a lot of us are doing and have done in the past? We try to vote for the candidate of our choice but it seems like it is to no avail. The creeps continue to be elected. I am speaking about the state level, not POTUS. It is obvious you do not live in Illinois. We have raised hell, what are we supposed to do? Get out guns and go after them? Then we would be in prison. Things do not operate on a sane or honest level here. Third party candidates? I would love to vote for one but it just won’t happen here. The powers that be will not allow it.

      • WTH

Claire… you are probably right. I came across this article. It is kind of a slow read but there are some very interesting points made when you get to the heart of it that is very relevant to this conversation.

        • Claire

WTH–Thank you for the link–I will read it.

Fact : Rahm Emanuel father is a Israeli terrorist. Like father like son. See RENSE.COM and BRASSCHECK TV.COM

If we gave Chicago to Canada, California to Mexico and the liberal states in New England back to England, this country would be in good shape and they all would be living the lifestyle they think we should have here.

Taking any bets they won’t like what they see?

    • Jean

Great idea, Bud! Unfortunately there is a long border between California and the rest of the states, so we would have the same problem of illegal aliens. I think is needed is to allow California to go bankrupt. See if that won’t clean up some of the mess they have gotten themselves into. Mayors pulling down over $800,000 per year in salaries sends a good signal of corruption and disrespect to the people who live there. Unfortunately, people are not equipped to think anymore these days. They leave the burden to someone else.

    • Meteorlady

We need to treat California the same as Greece. Cut back or loose financing. Go bankrupt. I don’t care. I live in a state where we are in pretty good shape. I am lucky. My house has not devalued – though it hasn’t increased either – and we still have jobs. Makes me sick to have to bail out the liberal states because they won’t change their way. It’s like in AA when the say you “enable” someone to drink. We, as taxpayers, are the government’s enablers.

  • http://gmail i41

Well you wouldn’t think Barry would allow any honest, or scroupled people around him as advisors do you. Barry only wants the scum from the bottum of the swamp, for his minons. All the tax cheats and corrupt party thugs, only get a visit invite. If you are a domestic terrorist and a lawyer with a few deaths to your credit, you climb higher in the party mob.

  • NormP

Sit back and watch how the corrupt Chicago machine twists this one for the Progressives !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • http://gmail i41

Da Mob will keep it honest if they have to! Them lads are just funnin’ you know, Big Mamee and Jug Ears will do right by their fetching up!

  • Meteorlady

Great – replace one piece of work with another, worse one. The people there must all be brain dead or like to be ripped off by the politicians.

    • Claire

Meteorlady–I am in Illnois–I do not consider myself brain dead and I certainly despise being ripped off by politicians. I have lived here most of my life. I have been a registered Republican for well over 30 years now. I do not appreciate what is happening here nor what has happened in the past. I consider the politicians from both parties to be one and the same. I cannot come up with a sane explanation as to how and why these people are elected. They didn’t receive my vote and I simply cannot believe Illinois citizens keep voting for these people. The voting system must be rigged, Blago was re-elected, etc. I find this to be absolutely mindboggling. Thankfully I do not live in Chicago. With Daley retiring and the possibility of Rahm Emanuel returning to Illinois, it will remain the same Daley Machine. I am appalled at the “power” these people (crooks) have. Their “power” hovers over the entire state. I do not have the answer nor do I have a solution. I have arrived to the conclusion it will continue to be this way. I do not have a defeatist attitude, I simply do not know how we can put a stop to this. All I can do is send emails every day, write letters, call the congressmen, etc. and it will all fall on deaf ears. Until such time Illinois acquires politicians that will do the “right thing” we are in a quandary, but I don’t see how any honest politician can fight the Daley Machine. The town I live in has a Democratic mayor and he thinks he is God’s gift to women. He is an airhead. He takes care of the wealthy and the subdivisions they live in first. The east side of town is in deplorable condition. There are so many “volunteer” clean-up programs that could be initiated, but this guy won’t do it. I have contacted his office so many times. He just makes sure the Lincoln sites and the areas around them are maintained because of the tourists, and this is fine. We need tourism. But the rest of the town goes to hell in a handbasket.
Sorry for the rant but I am fed up with Illinois politics and it is frustrating because there is nothing I can do. I have tried. It is like beating my head against a brick wall.

      • Claire

And remember, we have Durbin. What more can I say? He is part of the whole scenario.

        • http://gunner689 gunner689

and Jesse Jackass Jr. to. Ill. is as bad as Mass. where do you find this pond scum?

          • Claire

gunner689— I don’t know. I have decided they grow them like that here or else their parents abused them when they were kids. Just joking. I thought Kirk was going to be good and then the idiot lied about receiving a military award and his military service. Brady is weird, I wonder about his “character.” Durbin is a joke. All show and no go. I cannot believe they think they can get by with their lies. A person should know they will always get caught sooner or later. Michael Madigan is another “power” person that likes to play games, along with his daughter who is the Attorney General. Honestly, my husband and I have thought numerous times about moving. But our kids and grandkids are here. They have to keep their jobs. This may sound silly but we don’t want to leave them. I do not like the thought of seeing them once a year or less?
At first I didn’t think I would vote, but I feel I have to. A third party candidate gets nowhere here, but this is what I will have to vote for.
The Tea party here is ran by the Republicans-a lot of them are RINOs. That is why I do not attend.
If old Rahm comes back and gets elected I will have to be careful– he will send me dead fish in the mail. That is what he does if he gets mad at someone. It just seems like the “good ones” don’t stand a chance here in Illinois.

          • Claire

gunner689–Also, from what I hear, old Rahm has one heck of a hot temper. This should be interesting if he comes back.

  • Bob

Unfotunately all the blacks will vote for the Democrat. They think the Dems are on their side. If they are why do so many live in poverty. Thanks Dems

    • David in Ma.

If the black idiots had gone to school and listened they would have learned the old democrat party was the party of segregation, they deserve what they get for voting democrat, the dummies! OH! WAIT! the democrats are also the party of welfare………MMMMMMM!

  • http://Verizon Bud G.

They win in Illinois like they win in California and that is with people voting several times. They reported this in the news that many university students in Illinois had voted multiple times. How many others did this? Their is also the vote in California during the Clinton administration where over one million illegal immigrants voted and they were pulling vagrants off the street to vote. I have no idea if those vagrants were registered to vote. There is also the voters registered by ACORN of which there were false names and addressees and the Black Panthers threatening voters which they did nothing about and clearly a violation of rules at the polling booth. The Obama administration made sure they were not prosecuted. The Democrat’s win hands down when it comes to sleazy ways to win an election.

They are still crying about Al Gore losing in Florida. I live here and watched the entire process and if anything he was given more votes than he deserved in the recount and still lost. The absentee ballots from overseas, which he went to court to try and stop them from being counted was the difference. He knew he would lose if he did not stop that count as they were overwhelmingly in favor of Bush.
You see now what kind of President he would have made. The guy is a con artist and now he has been caught with his earth warming hysteria.
If you recall, he was also the bag boy in receiving illegal campaign contributions from a Chinese citizen. The Obama administration received several million in illegal campaign contributions but you don’t hear anything about the money being returned do you and nobody was prosecuted. Amazing isn’t it?

As an Independent, I have voted for both parties but after what they did with Health Care and this abomination called “Cap and Trade”, they will never get my vote again. What we have is a bunch of Socialist Democrats trying to change this country’s form of government and I am not buying it.

    • Claire

Bud G–No doubt people are voting numerous times. They have to be, how else could Blago have been elected twice? And the Daleys? And some of the others? If Rahm comes back and runs for mayor I bet he gets elected. I hope and pray I am wrong. No, I will not vote for a Democrat nor a Republican this time. I would vote for a true Conservative but I am not finding any that I sincerely believe are “true” Conservatives here in Illlinois. A man on another site posted the name of a guy that is running here in Illinois. I will have to check him out. At this time, here in Illinois I may very well vote for a third party. I can’t help it. I can no longer vote for the lesser of two evils. I have done that so many times already. Maybe I am wrong, but God knows I have been wrong before.
Al Gore does not have what it takes to be POTUS. With the shenanigans he has pulled, he should drop out of sight.
Like you, I am not buying it either. I am waiting to see who runs for POTUS. This should be interesting.

      • dan az

Is there a way to count the votes and compare them to your amount of people that actually live there? I heard some where that the count was double what the populus was in one of the states up there.I feel for ya knowing that corruption can only be cleaned up if there where honest people in charge of the government and we know thats not going to happen.I wish I could help you but I know you have the faith to keep going so lets see what happens in November Hang in there!

        • Claire

dan az —I don’t know how I could do that. Once the election is over, the results are on the local tv news channel and then in the morning paper. Seems like they always give a “percentage” of voters that voted in each district. Seriously, I just don’t see how the Chicago Machine can be done away with. It has been like this for decades. Wish you and the posters on this site could come here and vote!

Claire: That was the state where the “Saturday Night Live” guy ran and ACORN was there big time so you know there were illegal votes.

Off the subject: I wrote a book that will be out in a few months. It is still in editing and the book cover has yet to be made. It is a story about the comparisons and differences of military and civilian life.

William Ryan is the editor and Anne Kilgore is doing the book cover.
I hope you will read it as it as It was the most gut wrenching thing I have ever done in my life and I think released some of the trauma I still had within me from Viet Nam. The book is titled “It Started and Ended”, the title suggested by the editor who is also a well known author. My brother-in-law, Pearn and Associates is publishing the book and it will be advertised on

Bud G–I work for a book publisher! The books we publish are textbooks and used by universities and colleges. We are known for our Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement and this is what we specialize in, along with Psychiatry and Psychology, Education and Special Ed, Learning Disabled, some medical, etc. What is ironic, about 10-12 years ago ago we published a book on terrorism and on the front cover was the twin towers!! The author was way ahead of his time! He was sure a smart man. After 9/11 that book sold like crazy and the author appeared on numerous tv shows. I like editing the police books! I have edited quite a few on terrorism. These terrorism books pull no punches. They tell it like it is. Some of the acts of cruelty are beyond belief. I recently edited a manuscript on juvenile gangs. That was sure an eye-opener. Right now I am working on a manuscript about x-ray technology. I’m learning a lot about x-rays!
Your book sounds great. I will look for it. You have given me the title so I will be able to find it. All of our books are on Amazon, plus ebook sites, Google, etc. and we have our own web site. Good luck with your book!! I promise I will buy a copy!!

        Bud G. / Claire,

What about audio books? I don’t have much time when finished with work and then home[work]; when I do have time, it is hard for me to read more than a few pages before getting sleepy….which by the way is actually a good thing since I have trouble getting enough hours sleep each night. I’d really enjoy listening to these books while driving to and from work. I’d appreciate your feedback on this. Thank you!

Fed Up Gal in NM–No, we do not have any audio books. Sorry, but thanks for asking.

Considering how this “office” is located in Illinois, I wonder how much Emanual is “paying” both Barry & Daley for the opportunity to “rule” Chicago!?

  • Angel Wannabe

Aside from the problems Dead Fish is gonna cause the people in Chicago, I hope he runs and wins the seat, and then gets the hell outta Washington. Because he’ll be one less Progressive to get rid of in 2010 & 2012!

Angel– I understand what you are saying and I agree. I just don’t want him back in Illinois.

Claire: Thank you for your comments. I spent several years in the inner sanctum of the Intelligence community so I know a lot about what you are talking about. I also spent 15 years at a hospital serving veteran’s. It just broke my heart to see some of the casualties from Iraq and Afghanistan and the remarkable work the staff at the hospital did in their recovery, especially in the brain trauma area.

Fed Up Gal in NM: My brother-in-law mentioned this a few weeks ago and will ask him about it and get back to you.

My oldest sister and other brother-in-law lived in New Mexico for over 20 years. They moved around the state often because he worked at National Guard Armories. I think their favorite place was Sante Fe.
It was a beautiful place but I loved the Cloud croft, High Rolls area near Hollaman Air Force Base in Alamagordo. I hiked for about 10 miles at an elevation over 9,000 feet. I saw natural springs, deer tracks by the hundreds which I followed onto a plateau, heard a mountain lion off in the distance. With the wind whistling through the pine trees and the fresh, clean air, it was a great experience.
