I will always be grateful for Reagan’s bringing down the Berlin wall, but he leaves a rancid legacy in many ways. He signed the MLK holiday into law against the majority of the US public, signed the ratification of the Genocide Convention with the UN,left us with 2 worthless Supreme Court justices, 2 worthless sons and 2 worthless Bush’s; He expanded the budget and increased foreign aid. He helped begin the process of exporting jobs overseas with his misguided one-way free trade policies. His administration was rife with Mossad agents.

Thank you for all you do to preserve our great heritage and fight for our rights

So where are all the so-called conservatives? Is it that hard to express your thanks for someone who was perhaps our most conservative president in a long time?
Ronald Reagan was no wannabe god. He was no shill for groups that hate America. He had hands-on experience in government BEFORE he tossed his hat into the national political arena (unlike a certain TWIT in the White House now).
Thanks Mr. Reagan. You had the decency to CARE about America, and your reason for being in the White House had NOTHING to do with ‘going through
    the motions.’
You didn’t bend over to cater to unions, you told it like it was when dealing with the Russians, and you showed us just how much a LOSER Peanuts Carter was.
Thanks, Mr. Reagan. You helped make us PROUD to be Americans, and you didn’t bow or scrape or act like a wimp’s wimp before the leaders of other countries. Thanks, Mr. Reagan, for putting social engineers in their place.
Thanks for giving our military a REASON to be PROUD
of America. And, thanks for not being a plastic-faced joke who is happy to disgrace every American and gets paid to do it. Thanks.

I’ll guarantee that the Gipper wouldn’t have even considered letting the Chinese bid on American defense contracts!! To him, America was first, last, and foremost!!! I’m sure he has a seat at Gods right hand!! May God Bless his soul!!

Back in the 80′s I was a busy Mom, our kids were small, I ran a small business from home and I helped care for my sick Mother.
Politics was not the first thing I thought of when my Alarm clock went off at 5 am. In fact the only reason I knew anything about politics back then, was because my husbands Father was involved in it. We attended fundraisers and Galas. Quite frankly my first date long before that, was at 16 with my then boyfriend and now Husband, dinner with Congressman Schulze.

There were very few people in Politics who ever held my attention. Ronald Reagan could. While I’ve always been a hopeless Romantic, ever searching for a Hero, Ronald Reagan personified and was the epitome of that Hero. He IS a true American Icon.

If you were fortunate enough to have lived through the Reagan Era. One cannot help but remember the man, his calming re-assuring voice, his undying Patriotism and his Love and Reverence for our God of Abraham. How could anyone forget, his never ending belief in the what the American Spirit could accomplish, if tax & regulations were reduced, the obstructions of Government were limited, so that Entrepreneurship could flourish. He himself was an Entrepreneur.

Reagan’s grandest fear I believe was Socialism, he spoke many times about Socialism coming in the guise of Socialized medicine and what it would mean if not combated. As heard in an early speech given in 1961 below.

I hear so many people today compare President Ronald Reagan to our current President Barrack Obama. While I respect the office of the President, in my Opinion there is NO comparison when it comes to Ronald Reagan and Barrack Obama.
Ronald Reagan said what he meant, and meant what he said. He commanded a respect not by force or coercion, but by his belief in America and her people. Ronald Reagan never apologized for America being exceptional or Entrepreneurial, in fact he often referred to her as “The Shining City on the Hill”. Freedom was Reagan’s promise to us as American Citizens, that he would with the help of God uphold and guard with the highest affirmation. Freedom to Ronald Reagan was the last bastion of hope. And is recalled In a speech while supporting Barry Goldwater, October 27, 1964, Ronald Reagan clearly states that

“If we lose freedom here, there is no place to escape to. This is the last stand on Earth.”

To the opposition, Ronald Reagan was force to be reckoned with, but to those who were closest to Reagan, and those of us who believed as he did in America’s greatness, Reagan offered a calm rhetoric and a simple plan. Less taxes, Smaller Government and a belief in the American people to do right, and to be allowed to Govern themselves.

Very rarely do I remember Reagan referring to America as a Democracy as so many do today in 2011. May I remind us all, we are not a Democracy, we are a Republic!

“A republic is a form of government in which the citizens choose their leaders and the people (or at least a part of its people) have an impact on its government. The word “republic” is derived from the Latin phrase res publica, which can be translated as “a public affair”.

Reagan had a kind demeanor, but was fierce when unfairly attacked as seen in the video link below.

Ronald Reagan held the highest position in America, even with a Democratic Congress, he continued to Govern in the service of the people. His words rang strong and true. While listening to many of his speeces over the years, I’ve often thought in my minds eye, that the Founders somehow reached through the void and touched him.
Reagan’s opposition who we’re and I would suppose still are many, will no doubt “STILL” find much to quibble and slander him about while reading these words. To that may I remind ALL, Perfection of any kind, is never bestowed on ANY ONE, but Ronald Reagan unlike most of Washington today, was/is the closest there is/was to an honest Politician we will EVER see.
Ronald Reagan and to all who remember him never consider him or worship him as a Messiah or God, he was simply a “Gift” from God!_

Happy 100th Birthday President Reagan, You are Sorely missed, May You Rest in Peace.

    God Bless America

Funny how we tend to only remember the good times. While I honor “the man”, I cannot honor what he did or who he worked for. What about the Iran-Contra debacle? Or the deregulation of industries, allowing increased pollution and the scaling back of hazardous waste clean-up or control. Or the lessening of the power of the E.P.A.? All under Reagan’s watch! What of the double digit interest rates? Thank you very much!

Wasn’t Reagan and Bush senior in control during the Savings and Loan fiasco? Eventually bailing the S & L out with our money! At least $160 billion. Trending the same practices (scams)today, we now just saw a bail-out to the tune of between $750 Billion upwards to $3 Trillion and counting.

Those who ran the U.S. as well as the World in the 80′s are still there. The Rothschild’s, the Rockefeller’s to name two. Just who owns the industrial military complex? Did you ever ask, why do we get involved in so many wars? Weaponry and the machines to launch missiles and rockets are the U.S.’s largest export. Most presidents post J.F.K. are just patsies for the real “power people”. See “Zeitgeist the movie”

Reagan started the “Space Wars” program, and we are just now putting the finishing touches into it now as we speak. I can’t wait ’til Big Brother lights that one up.

In my humble opinion, J.F.K. was the latest greatest presidents of recent American history. Barre none! His speech regarding “clandestine operations, secret societies, covert society” is what got him killed. He wasn’t speaking of Russia either! He was putting on notice, those people here on U.S. soil, who choose to run their own plans of world domination, outside the confines of a governed rule.

You think (conspiracy)? I mean Conspiracy!

    • http://?? Joe H.

It was star wars program and it was the downfall of the soviet union as they spent so much money that their union crumbled!!!! Compared to Nobama, reagan was a saint!!!

      • AugieD

Space Wars / Star Wars does it really matter? Russia and communism crumbled as a result of the Afghan/Russian war. The C.I.A. trained Arab fighters “mujahideen” (all good friends of Osama bin Laden)were given shoulder fired rockets to attack the Russian helicopters. Until that point Russia was winning the battle by sheer firepower. Russia had a tendency to put all it’s eggs in one basket.’

Reagan is “no” saint. But in your defense, neither is Obama!

        • http://?? Joe H.

suggest you read a little more! The soviet union fell from spending too much trying to keep up with the star wars program! money they didn’t have! Sound familliar???

I would like to remind you that Kennedy was a Democrat like none other, and nothing like the losers all Democrats are today.Iam surely glad his brothers, and other kennedy’s are out of our government. What a bunch of control freaks.

  • Gerald T.

Reagan was a great President, and in 2012 I will be voting for one that best follows in his foot steps.
Reduce the size of Government Employees, quit trying to take away our freedom, promotes Christianity, stops Politicians from taking our funds such as Social Security etc.

I strongly believe that there should be a substantial tax on all goods manufactured out of the Country, therefor making the U.S. more competitive.
We have the technology, talent and desire to compete, but labor rates are substantially higher.
Let’s bring the jobs back to the U.S., and get our folks back to work.

The Canadian Government encouraged greater manufacturing by offering a 50% project cost reduction for doing business with them. Canada was successful in greatly expanding their manufacturing capabilities.

President Reagan was a great man. He helped of us all find ourselves. He lowered the IRS obligations, that stifled our economy for years. The savings and loans problem happened, because of previous watches. President Reagan’s terms were the largest peacetime growth of GDP in our history. Unemployment was very low and we were growing as a nation, to the status we held earlier. God bless you Mr President, God bless you Ronald Reagan

  • Ed Bishop

If we had more leaders like President Reagan we would not be in the mess were in. A man who loved his country, his people and mankind.

    Celebrating your Birthday

    Ed Bishop

    • who cares

Because of reagan we are in his mess. Look at California it’s all (offensive word removed) up because of reagan, and every republican governor Calif has had. U.S. is all (offensive word removed) because a republican bush!!

  • spitfire

We are now again in a situation in America, where we need another Reagan. I hope God will send us one, or help us to start and win a revolution against the fools who want to control us.

  • spitfire

The best thing we all can do now is join the T-Party movement, so maybe we will not need a full on revolution. There is of course strength in numbers, and the T-Party is growing strong. Neither the Democrats, or even the Republicans are worth a damn. WE need something better and that would be the T-Party. If all us conservatives would join, we would really be a large movement to reckon with, and one that know one could oppose. I also believe the T-Party has what it takes, to give us another Ronald Reagan.

Paul Craig Roberts on the Alex Jones Radio Show said Reagan was a homosexual. Reagan was filmed doing some deviant acts. I’m not a fan of the “gipper” or said I say the “gimper” !
