According to a CNN/ORC International survey, almost three-quarters of those questioned say that, so far, the 113th Congress has done nothing to address the country’s most serious problems. Nearly two-thirds say the current Congress is “the worst ever.”
Lies are killing America. The biggest lie comes from Barack Obama, moderate Republicans and the media elite, who are all in bed together, trying to convince us that only “moderation, cooperation and compromise” can save the GOP… and America. This is one of the greatest lies ever told.
The questions I cannot shake as we enter into our sixth year of Barack Obama’s Presidency are: What are his ultimate goals, and how in the world did this African-American junior Senator and former community leader become the most powerful man in the free world?
We’ve all heard praises lavished on Bitcoin, not only from Web activists but from the mainstream media itself. But is Bitcoin’s rise really all it’s cracked up to be? Several problems lead me to believe the digital currency is ultimately a clever distraction.
Government printing-press money distorts economic reality and dilutes morality. Financial speculation rises with the increased quantity of paper money and the general work ethic deteriorates. The something-for-nothing mentality pervades society.
If you like your light bulb, you can keep your light bulb. Actually, just like Barack Obama’s promise regarding health insurance, this one’s not true either. As of Jan. 1, the import or manufacture of 40-watt or 60-watt light bulbs is now forbidden in the United States.

The arrival of a new year often brings not only a chance to reflect on the year that just ducked out the back door, but also to make the usual empty promises we call “New Year’s resolutions.” Being the ruminative sort, I considered the New Year’s resolutions President Barack Obama might make were he the resolution-making sort.
It’s time to put a cap on 2013. It’s a year that, for liberty’s sake, would have best been thrown into the crapper. The U.S. system is a totalitarianism that has over the past year begun to lose even its veneer of benevolence. Every day, we battle the gradual, insipid assault on the people and freedom. That is our purpose here at Personal Liberty Digest™.
