Personal Liberty Digest™
It’s Thursday morning as I put the finishing touches on this piece. So far, the United States and its allies haven’t fired the first shot against Syria. With Barack Obama heading to a G-20 conference (in Russia, of all places) next week and Congress not back in session for two more weeks, it may be a while before the first missile is launched.
Two things are happening right now under President Barack Obama that are unprecedented. First, Obama is about to go to war in Syria and risk your sons’ and daughters’ lives on behalf of our enemy, al-Qaida. Second, he is about to risk starting World War III.
Two weeks ago, the CIA revealed one of its worse kept government secrets in a 355-page document. It admitted that Area 51 really does exist. Never mind that Area 51 has been part of the American lexicon and pop culture for half a century. Only now does our government have the good grace to tell us. Better late than never, right?
Last week, the Syrian government of Bashar Assad decided to cross whatever line comes after the “red line” that President Barack Hussein Obama declared uncrossable more than a year ago. Now, we’re gearing up for war in Syria because some lunatic islamofascist used weapons of mass destruction against a bunch of lunatic islamofascists.
Last week, as we learned of the assassination of Chris Lane by a trio of amoral predatory racist gangster wannabes looking for street cred, a fact was curiously missing from mainstream media accounts: the race of the thug racist assassins and the victim. The shooters were not black and the victim was not white; he was a college baseball player from Australia.
How many Americans are willing to exchange some essential liberty for a little temporary safety? Or to ask it another way, how many will exchange much of their independence for security? Sadly, the answer is a whole bunch of them. But not among the readers of Personal Liberty Digest™. You are a proud, feisty and independent crowd.
Personal Liberty’s Wayne Allyn Root has spent a lot of time as a prosecutor laying out the indictment of Barack Obama. But now it’s time to see the glass as half full. It’s time to light the way to prosperity. Now, Root will paint a picture of how a country should be run. His example is the great State of Texas. If you want to see how a country should be run; if you’re interested in seeing your citizens succeed; and if you’re interested in creating opportunity, mobility and the pursuit of happiness, Root believes all you need to do is look at Texas.
Last week, President Barack Obama condemned the bloodshed in Egypt, demonstrating his anger over the recent violence by declaring that America’s armed forces will not participate in this year’s war games with Egypt. Yet the President has made it obvious that he is not going to suspend nearly $2 billion in annual aid to the troubled nation.
It never ceases to amaze me the amount of blind faith average Americans place in the strength of the U.S. dollar. It’s dangerous to believe one argument for the dollar’s strength, that there is no way the dollar’s value will ever collapse because it is the dominant petro-currency, and the entire world needs dollars to purchase oil.
Common sense is dead in America, slain by the psychopathic ruling class and progressive propagandists teaching America’s youth to pledge fealty to the state at all cost and teaching collectivist claptrap, pseudo history, feelings-based psychobabble and political correctness above reading, writing, arithmetic, history and language arts.
