Often, psychologists and self-help gurus attempt to promote the idea that the defining quality of the average person’s life is whether he is a follower or a leader. The problem is that very few people in our society understand anymore what it actually means to be a leader. Most Americans today are followers.
“Labor Day” is a misnomer. It is a leisure day ostensibly designed to celebrate the labor movement. Everyone now sees it as a leisure day for barbecue, final dips in the lake or ocean and the last “blowout” of summer.
Oh, how I loathe the idea of suing President Obama. When dealing with a self-styled despot of such low character, a mere lawsuit just seems too small. However, the numerous charges that Bob Livingston is or has become a liberal indicate the need to explain my philosophy.
Images of government agents assaulting nonviolent civilians are hardly new. Despite America’s history of serving as a beacon of liberty in a world darkened by liberty, we’ve had some trouble keeping the lights on. And it appears to be getting progressively worse.
Barack Obama acts exactly the same today as president as he did as a student at Columbia. Obama has always believed that Obama is brilliant and better than the rest of us. He’s arrogant and detached. He thinks he’s too smart to have to actually do the work the rest of us do. He’s above it all.
African-Americans are mad as hell. And at least some of that blame must fall on the shoulders of President Barack Obama, who promised blacks racial healing along with economic prosperity in his 2008 presidential campaign and then miserably failed at delivering either.
