Paul Trounces Other Candidates In RLC Straw Poll

Representative Ron Paul (R-Texas) won a straw poll at Saturday’s Republican Leadership Conference, gaining nearly 40 percent of the votes. Of 1,542 votes, Rep. Paul garnered 612, while GOP candidates Jon Huntsman and Representative Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) placed second and third with 382 and 191 votes respectively, according to Ron Paul’s fan site.

RLC: Obama Impersonator Pulled Offstage For Offensive Jokes

Professional Barack Obama Impersonator Reggie Brown was told to leave the stage at the Republican National Conference Saturday, after making several offensive jokes about the President’s biracial ethnicity. According to a POLITICO article, the act “came just one day after two high-profile Republicans — Haley Barbour and Bobby Jindal — urged activists to focus only on going after Obama on policy and not engage in personal attacks.”
