In announcing revised rules to the Home Affordable Refinance Program (HARP), President Barack Obama bought himself a campaign ploy attractive to millions of homeowners struggling to keep their homes and a payoff to his bankster buddies who are now encouraged to make more “risky” loans that bear no risk at all.
I’ve seen the Democrats’ latest attempts to recast President Barack Obama as some kind of latter-day Alexander the Great. I’ve observed from Outside The Asylum as the same liberals who castigated President George W. Bush, President George H.W. Bush and President Ronald Reagan (but not President Bill Clinton) for their warlike ways have suddenly tried to recast themselves as latter-day Gen. George Pattons.
The government hates it when people, especially government employees, point out its wrongdoing. It has often demonstrated its displeasure by firing whistleblowers and sometimes even charging them with criminal activity. But now there’s a new sheriff in town, and it seems she’s really interested in protecting whistleblowers.
The union/Democratic Party war on our paychecks is on display in South Carolina, where Boeing Co. wants to create thousands of jobs in a 787 Dreamliner assembly plant. The union thugs, outraged that Boeing would decide to build the plane in a State other than decidedly pro-union Washington, have contracted none other than the purportedly pro-jobs Obama Administration as a button man.
Current GOP flavor-of-the-month Herman Cain has tried to cast himself as an outsider, despite his ties to the Federal Reserve — and attempts to protect it from an audit by calling those who want one “stupid” — and his recent statement that Alan Greenspan was his idea of a good Fed chairman. But outsider he ain’t.
I do so love the scent of autumn. The crisp air is rich with the essence of nature’s fireworks, mingling delicately in the breeze with burning logs in happy homes, potpourri cooking on kitchen stoves… and the body odor of overeducated-yet-underinformed college students, their pseudo-academic professors, bloated millionaire and billionaire Democratic donors and fading Hollywood cretins.
We have some very intelligent readers, as evidenced by some of the comments that appear each day. So we’re giving you a better opportunity to contribute beyond the constraints of our comment system. We’re calling our new feature “You Sound Off!”
It strikes me that as long as the race card remains in the American socioeconomic deck, liberals will play it like they were splitting a pair of aces at a Vegas blackjack table. If you’re looking for the face of true targets of racism, 2011-style, look no further than GOP Presidential candidate Herman Cain.
What is it about the Republican beauty contestants that they can’t tell the truth during debates? We told you after the Florida GOP debate about Texas Governor Rick Perry’s despicable lie. Now, it’s Herman Cain’s turn. In response to a question from Congressman Ron Paul at the New Hampshire Debate about Cain’s past comments that there was no need for an audit of the Federal Reserve, Cain flat out lied when he answered.
Look up insanity in the dictionary and a photo of California and that State’s Governor, Jerry Brown, are probably next to the word. If not, they should be, for there is no other explanation for two recently passed laws in that State.
