As a father, Delbert Benton deserved to bid farewell to his family. As a man, he deserved to meet his maker on his own terms. As a warrior who put his life on the line for his country, he certainly deserved better than to be killed by thugs. At the very least, he deserved better than to have his commander in chief ignore his senseless and brutal demise.
Online freedom-product marketer Libertymaniacs.com designed a shirt with a modified NSA logo with the bottom words “United States of America” replaced by “Peeping While You’re Sleeping.” Beneath the logo was printed the words, “The NSA The only part of government that actually listens.” The National Security Agency has ordered the online retailer to cease and desist, citing copyright infringement.
Addressing the Nation 42 years ago to “outline a new economic policy,” President Richard Nixon failed to disappoint: Wage and price controls were instituted, the automobile industry was browbeaten into reducing prices and a 10 percent tariff was assessed on all imports. All this occurred before Nixon announced his grandest exploit: the termination of U.S. commitments to exchange gold for dollars with foreign governments.
Attorney General Eric Holder has so thoroughly disgraced himself during his occupation of the big chair at the Department of Justice that those extremely rare moments during which he doesn’t sell weapons to Mexican narcoterrorists or perjure himself in front of Congress often go unnoticed. Ted Cruz is a rising star in the Republican Party thanks to his tough stands for liberty and against big government and the status quo. Evidence of his rise and threat to the establishment comes in the fact that CNN now thinks it’s time to give scrutiny to the albatross hanging around Cruz’s neck: his eligibility to run for President.

Frankly, it’s offensive to me; and I have made a career out of defending the indefensible in pursuit of breathing life into the Bill of Rights, protecting things like free speech.
Government in Mexico exists, to be sure; but it has been slow to acquire the desire and sophistication to put its boot heel on the neck of its citizens. Yet, as Mexico becomes more First World, so has its government. While light years behind the USSA in intrusiveness, Mexico is following briskly in the footsteps of its northern neighbor.
It’s fitting that President Barack Obama is vacationing this week with his private-jet-setter cronies in the wealthy Democrats’ enclave of Martha’s Vineyard, Mass. Where better for President “Better Bargain for the Middle Class” to cool his heels than the sort of place where members of the middle class are welcome only if they’re waiting tables or carrying golf bags?
