Supreme Court May Get Involved In Healthcare Debate

The Supreme Court may formally address in its upcoming term a multi-State challenge to the Democrat-backed Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Two Federal courts of appeals have ruled on the Constitutionality of the mandate requiring all individuals to purchase health insurance; one has upheld the mandate, and another has struck it down.

Student Threatens Man Passing Out Constitution Copies

Federal Government Spent $10,612 Per Person In 2010

The Federal government spent $10,612 per person domestically last year, including more than $5,000 per person for programs such as unemployment benefits, Social Security and housing assistance. The Federal government spent $3.3 trillion domestically in the fiscal year 2010; $1.6 trillion of the funding went to Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.
