Don’t believe the hype from liberals or the media. The fact is: GUNS SAVE LIVES. But, every time there’s a crisis, politicians learn the wrong lesson… come up with the wrong solution… and always use the crisis as a reason to take away our freedoms and grow government bigger.
Most economic experts agree on three things: 1) Lawmakers are highly unlikely to reach an agreement before Jan. 1, when deep automatic spending cuts and crippling tax increases will automatically occur. 2) When they do implement a fiscal cliff plan, it will probably be little more than a quick-fix to avert only the harshest consequences of their failure avert the cliff. 3) Talks over the fiscal cliff have become more about political grandstanding and less about protecting Americans’ bottom lines.
Soon after the details of Adam Lanza’s heinous and purely evil criminal actions at Sandy Hook Elementary School were revealed, Americans largely decided that the political conversations that would inevitably result should be held off until the small bodies of the vile murderer’s victims had at least been removed from the school. Now comes the blame game.
America was once the breadbasket for the world. Now countries are banning U.S. foods in an effort to spare their citizens from the health hazards of genetically modified foods, also known as genetically modified organisms, or GMOs.
Representative Ron Paul, an unyielding champion of liberty and perhaps the most honest member of Congress in modern history, gave what is likely to be his last address to Congress yesterday. The Congressman will leave his office at the end of the year. In his speech he warned of a bleak American future if the Nation remains addicted to welfare, war and debt.
The Nation’s future rests upon the hope that President Barack Obama’s leadership will somehow get better if we can chill over this result of this election. That is not much consolation except to say maybe we were doomed before this election. Also, what we do now and over the coming months will be a test for American democracy — the longest lived one in the world.
Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky.) criticized Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney on foreign policy in a column Wednesday published by CNN. The younger Paul says he cannot support Romney in certain areas of foreign policy.
Mitt Romney never said he wants to kill, maim, fricassee or deep-fat fry Big Bird. In fact, quite the opposite is true. But the Democratic panic over Romney’s nefarious plans for the “Sesame Street” gang is about winning an election, not telling the truth.
I made a bold prediction four months ago here at Personal Liberty Digest™ — that Mitt Romney was on his way to a landslide victory over Barack Obama. I called it a repeat of Ronald Reagan’s landslide over incumbent President Jimmy Carter. Don’t look now, but that prediction just became reality.
Some entrepreneurial students in Massachusetts are using the restrictions on school lunches as a way to make a little extra money. A black market for chocolate syrup is forming. The sugary substance sells for 50 cents a squeeze.
