The government released a second batch of documents yesterday in response to EFF’s ongoing FOIA lawsuit for information concerning Section 215 of the Patriot Act — the provision of law the government relies on to compel the disclosure of records of millions of Americans’ calls.
A full court press to push an amnesty bill through the House of Representatives will begin next week. It will be spearheaded by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, a coalition of Big Business and Silicon Valley, immigration activists and liberal religious leaders. An amnesty bill is bad for the American worker. It’s bad for the economy. It’s bad for America.
