There are but few things I could think of as a more monumental waste of time than pursuing this subject. The impeachment horse is not only dead, it has dried up and blown away.

One would have thought that the futility of impeachment was proven when Clinton’s bacon was saved by Constitution-disregarding senators. It is no different today.

Does anyone seriously think that the Senate has enough Democrats who would vote to convict? If you do, I’ve got a bridge to sell you.

My advice: get real and exert your energies in some direction that actually has a chance of success.

Unfortunately Vigilant is right. There are most likely grounds for impeachment, but the Senate controlled by Democrats would not vote for conviction, at least in the forseeable future. We need to work to get Democrats out of the Senate in 2014.

Yep. The ONLY reason for Nixon resigning was that both houses of the Congress were stacked against him. Otherwise, he could’ve waltzed thru “the Gate”. At the time, “the people” were in support of him by an overwhelming majority, not the elected representatives whom they thought reperesented THEM. Just check the election results of 1972. The Watergate drama was small potatoes, and as much as I hate to admit it, so was Whitewater (what Clinton’s impeachment was REALLY about). BUT, being a “Manchurian Candidate” for Third-World Socialists/Globalists IS a big deal.
