    SOMETIMES, SEMANTICS ARE IMPORTANT.

ALL HUMANS – IF THEY HAVE DIGNITY – ARE “RACISTS.” “RACIST” MEANS BEING PROUD OF THE ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF PEOPLE WHO LOOK LIKE, YOU.

ALL HUMANS HAVE PREJUDICAL BIASES BASED ON RACE. THIS TYPE OF PREJUDICE IS OKAY, AS LONG AS, ITS ADHERENTS DO NOT HINDER THE PROGRESS OF OTHERS FROM OTHER RACES.

ALTHOUGH VOTING AGAINST THE KENYAN BECAUSE HE IS COLORED IS A HINDRANCE OF HIS PROGRESS, IT IS AN ACCEPTABLE HINDRANCE BECAUSE IT IS NOT BASED ON MALICE – IT IS BASED ON INDIVIDUALS’ DESIRE TO PROTECT THEMSELVES FROM SOMEONE WHO HAS THE ABILITY TO DO SOCIO-ECONOMIC HARM AGAINST THEM.

BEING A RACIST IS A “GOOD THING.”

Slavery, at least in this country, was based on racisim. You would call that racisim a good thing?

Would you call indentured servants, that came from European countries to America, Slaves?
Your pointless psuedo philosophical questions and arguments are just that pointless.

      • Doc Sarvis

You asked; “Would you call indentured servants, that came from European countries to America, Slaves?” No, not really. That does not change my question to Mr. Horton.

        “Doc Sarvis,”

YOU MUST REMEMBER THE MINDSET OF THAT TIME.

WHEN CAUCASIANS CAME IN CONTACT WITH NEGROES – FOR THE FIRST TIME, IN SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA – DURING THE SIXTEENTH-CENTURY, THEY DID NOT THINK THOSE “INHABITANTS” WERE HUMAN. “Doc Sarvis,” YOU MUST REALIZE EUROPEAN CAUCASIANS HAD NEVER SEEN EXOTIC ANIMALS LIKE ELEPHANTS, GIRAFFES AND ZEBRAS. OF COURSE, THEY HAD NEVER SEEN APES. SIXTEENTH-CENTURY-EUROPEAN EXPLORERS THOUGHT THOSE “STRANGE INHABITANTS” – WHO HAD THE ABILITY TO WALK ON TWO LEGS – WERE A BREED OF APE.

THEREFORE, EUROPEAN EXPLORERS NEVER CONSIDERED THIS “APE-BREED” HAD A COGNITIVE CAPACITY, NOR, THE ABILITY TO TRANSMIT IDEAS THROUGH LANGUAGE. AFTER EXPLORERS REALIZED THIS “BREED” IS – ACCORDING TO THEM – A LOWER-FORM OF HUMAN, THEY BELIEVED THE REASON WHY THESE “LOWER-LEVEL HUMANS” LIVED IN SUCH SAVAGE CIRCUMSTANCES IS BECAUSE THEY HAD NO KNOWLEDGE OF, “MODERNITY.” Queen Elizabeth I of England (1533-1603) CALLED THOSE INHABITANTS, “savages” AND “darkies,” IN REGARD TO HER PATRONAGE OF ENGLISH EXPANSION. SO, BY REMOVING THESE “LOWER-LEVEL” HUMANS FROM THEIR “SAVAGE” ENVIRONMENT, EXPLORERS THOUGHT THEY WERE DOING A “GOOD THING.” BECAUSE THESE “LOWER-LEVEL” HUMANS HAD GREAT STRENGTH, THEY WERE CONSIDERED AN “ANIMAL-HYBRID” – THEREBY, CREATING THE NEED FOR REMOVAL BY FORCE.

SO, “Doc Sarvis,” AT ITS CONCEPTION, THE “Peculiar Institution” OF SLAVERY WAS NOT A RACIST INSTITUTION BECAUSE EXPLORERS TRULY BELIEVED THEY WERE HELPING THOSE WHO COULD NOT HELP THEMSELVES. ABOUT ONE HUNDRED YEARS LATER (LATE SEVENTEENTH-CENTURY), EARLY AMERICANS REALIZED THE ECONOMIC BENEFIT – IN ITS TRUEST SENSE – OF SLAVE OWNERSHIP. AT THAT POINT – WHEN A NEED FOR MORE SLAVES WAS IN GREAT DEMAND – THESE AMERICAN CAUCASIANS DEVELOPED A SENSE OF RACISM OUT OF A MALICE, WHICH WAS BASED ON GREED.

      • Doc Sarvis

        THAT is B.S.!

      • CHRISTOPHER ALLEN HORTON

        “Doc Sarvis,”

NO MATTER HOW DESPERATELY YOU WANT TO. YOU CAN NOT CHANGE HISTORY. I AM PROUD OF THIS HISTORY – YOU SHOULD BE TOO. RUNNING FROM THE TRUTH SOLVES NOTHING.

It’s called Repressive Tolerance and it’s usage is neither new or coincidental, but planned for a purpose decades ago.

    Herbert Marcuse: Repressive Tolerance
Repressive Tolerance, by Herbert Marcuse (1965): “[True] tolerance, then, would mean intolerance against movements from the Right and toleration of movements from the Left.”

BTW, Mancuse is also famous for coining several phrases from the sixties hippie movement such as “Make love, not War”. Authored a book called “Eros and Civilization”. Notorious Columbia University Communist Guru who was chiefly responsible for the spreading of the socialist teachings of The Frankfurt School nationwide.

I guess my problem is I don’t think what anyone thinks about me is any of my business.
I know how I feel about other people and don’t care if they misconcieve what or who I am.
I won’t turn into a quivering bowl of jello because someone may think I’m racist. I already know who I am and don’t care what anyone else thinks.
Vote Obama out, both the white and black halves. I disagree with him no matter what his race is.
If that makes me racist, so be it.

  • Jeremy Leochner

Bob is not a racist. Opposing Obama does not make someone racist. Its sad that anyone would feel treated that way. Bob you have a right to your beliefs. I may disagree with you. But you are not a racist. One thing I would point out is the statement by Harry Reid is racist. Being a democrat does not make one exempt from being called out for racism.
