‘Coach’ Obama Loses Big

May 31, 2011 by

‘Coach’ Obama Loses Big

Imagine, if you will, a football team. It has practiced diligently. It has scouted the opposition exhaustively. It has a loyal, albeit marginally unbalanced, fan base. It has a foolproof game plan. It is ready. Then, it gets on the field and it loses — big. Final score: 97-0.

Now, imagine the reaction of the beat writers, sports-radio shriekers and television talking hairdos in the wake of such an epic beat down. The cacophony would be louder than Ed Schultz screaming at the most recent woman to turn him down for a date. And the players would have to either make a comeback for the ages or announce their plans to retire.

For President Barack Obama and the Senate Democrats, it’s a good thing liberal politics are nothing like football. Because last week, the Democrat-dominated U.S. Senate voted 97-0 to kill the $3.7 trillion budget Obama sent to Capitol Hill in February. Let that sink in for a moment. “Coach” Obama had more than three months to get his team ready to play, and it performed like a Green Bay High School junior varsity against the Green Bay Packers. Actually, that analogy is imperfect. “Coach” Obama had more than three months to get his team ready to play, and it ended up cheering for the other team.

Of course, if your only source of news is the Democrat-controlled corporate media, then you didn’t hear about last week’s Beltway beat down. The Democrats were hysterically screeching about the likelihood that Representative Paul Ryan’s (R-Wisc.) budget proposal was going to sneak out in the middle of the night and ax-murder your grandmother. One Democratic group even went so far as to produce an appalling attack ad depicting someone (presumably a heartless Republican like Ryan) pushing a kindly old woman off of a cliff. The corporate media, of course, were more than willing to treat the Democrat-authored talking points (read: outright lies) about the Ryan budget’s vicious assault on Medicare as if they were facts.

Ryan’s budget would do nothing of the sort, of course. Instead, it will preserve the financially flagging Medicare system for Americans older than 55 and restore some fiscal sanity to an entitlement which — barring reform — is projected to face insolvency within 15 years. Unsurprisingly, that aspect of the Ryan plan was left out of the Democratic fearmongering; and it was entirely absent from the corporate media’s sycophantic reportage on the budget-wrangling. Ultimately, the Ryan budget — and possibly Medicare’s future — lost 57-40. For those of you keeping score at home, that’s a solid defeat. It was, however, an immensely better showing than the silent whitewashing Obama’s budget endured.

One might fairly presume that the Democrats, having demagogued, distorted and defeated the Ryan plan — having killed their own President’s budget — would have presented a plan to the taxpayers. Unfortunately, you would be as wrong as Lawrence O’Donnell saying… anything. Ryan’s falsely maligned proposal lost, sure. But Obama’s proposal was beaten like a red-headed step-budget. And the Senate Democrats, seizing the opportunity to show actual leadership for the first time since Representative Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) let Senator Harry Reid (R-Nev.) put down her purse, offered… nothing.

There is no budget offered by the Senate Democrats. Granted, asking for substantive ideas from a Democratic party that has always been long on defamatory rhetoric and short on ideas is about as fanciful as hoping the aforementioned JV team will upend the Packers. But they had time to slander Ryan to the point of insinuating he’s borderline homicidal. Certainly, they had time to come up with their own (over)spending plan. Sadly, with the game on the line, the Democratic Party choked. Again.

97-0. Lest I miss the chance to stretch the football analogy a bit farther: If you lose a game like that, you unload the players for better personnel and fire the coach. And that, my friends, is the ballgame.

Obama would have been tossed out by now. You hope for cookies in a bag of nuts.
George I, Bill, George II and Barack have all lead us to today. The era of fear continues and our children are going to grow up with government workers shoving their hands between their legs because this is the America you want and did not grow up in yourself!
Or is this the kind of national defense that you wish you would have grown up in?
Too many people or more brain washed by the media than care to admit out of fear! Speak sound bites and wear a leash is the new motto that Dem and Pub supporters live by today.

I am out of patients and will strive to have words hit like a ton bricks and let the chips fall where they may!

Obama’s losing is going to continue. I heard that instead of payng homage to the troops on Memorial Day he spent the day golfing. Just think, he is the Commander in Chief, and he spends his day having fun instead of doing his patriot duty. Where is his respect to the dead military troops and their families. I know that the Liberals will come to the aid of Obama and defend his actions. If President Bush would have done this the Liberal Press would be all over it. They sure do give Obummer a wide latitude for mistakes, and for just being stupid and they never say a thing. This is your quiz for today:

I wish you well on your quiz.

    The rules are simple.

I will give you a quote, and you have to guess which American politician said it.

    Your three choices are:

    President Barack Obama;

Former Vice President Dan Quayle; or

    Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.

Here we go! These are DIRECT quotes:

    1) “Let me be absolutely clear. Israel is a strong friend of Israel’s.”

    A. Barack Obama
    B. Dan Quayle
    C. Sarah Palin

    2) “I’ve now been in 57 states I think one left to go.”

    A. Barack Obama
    B. Dan Quayle
    C. Sarah Palin

    3) “On this Memorial Day, as our nation honors its unbroken line of fallen heroes…and I see many of them in the audience here today.”

    A. Barack Obama
    B. Dan Quayle
    C. Sarah Palin

    4) “What they’ll say is, ‘Well it costs too much money,’ but you know what? It would cost, about. It, it, it would cost about the same as what we would spend. It. Over the course of 10 years it would cost what it would costs us. (nervous laugh) All right. Okay. We’re going to. It. It would cost us about the same as it would cost for about hold on one second. I can’t hear myself. But I’m glad you’re fired up, though. I’m glad.”

    A. Barack Obama
    B. Dan Quayle
    C. Sarah Palin

    5) “The reforms we seek would bring greater competition, choice, savings, and inefficiencies to our health care system.”

    A. Barack Obama
    B. Dan Quayle
    C. Sarah Palin

    6) “I bowled a 129. It’s like – it was like the Special Olympics, or something.”

    A. Barack Obama
    B. Dan Quayle
    C. Sarah Palin

    7) “Of the many responsibilities granted to a president by our Constitution, few are more serious or more consequential than selecting a Supreme Court justice. The members of our highest court are granted life tenure, often serving long after the presidents who appointed them. And they are charged with the vital task of applying principles put to paper more than 20 centuries ago to some of the most difficult questions of our time.”

    A. Barack Obama
    B. Dan Quayle
    C. Sarah Palin

    8) “Everybody knows that it makes no sense that you send a kid to the emergency room for a treatable illness like asthma, they end up taking up a hospital bed, it costs, when, if you, they just gave, you gave them treatment early and they got some treatment, and a, a breathalyzer, or inhalator, not a breathalyzer. I haven’t had much sleep in the last 48 hours.”

    A. Barack Obama
    B. Dan Quayle
    C. Sarah Palin

    9) “It was . interesting to see that political interaction in Europe is not that different from the United States Senate. There’s a lot of I don’t know what the term is in Austrian, wheeling and dealing.”

    A. Barack Obama
    B. Dan Quayle
    C. Sarah Palin

    10) “I have made good judgments in the past. I have made good judgments in the future.”

    A. Barack Obama
    B. Dan Quayle
    C. Sarah Palin

I’m sorry. This was a trick quiz. All of the correct answers are the same person.

Each of these quotes are from President Barack Obama.

And now you know why he brings his teleprompter with him everywhere he goes.even when talking to a 6th grade class!!!

By the way, how many of these quotes and misquotes did you read about or hear from the mainstream media?

Had Vice President Quayle or Governor Palin made any one of the above statements, the media would have immediately produced a breaking news story – to let us know just how dumb they are.

I guess we’re lucky that the media in this country doesn’t play favorites, right?

Does the mainstream media give Obama a pass because he is black? Because he is a liberal? It can’t be because he is the President – the media ridiculed George Bush regularly.

    • Donald

Interesting that you provide no source other than yourself for all this stuff

      • Linda

Google it. Heck I remember BO saying we had 57 states during the 2008 campaign. The man is nothing more than an EEO POTUS, put in place to do harm to America for the leftists and progressives. He’s a poser and a front man – nothing more.

        • JUKEBOX

While he was on his European vacation, he signed the book “2008″. That alone shows he doesn’t have a clue of where he’s at. He should be called “NEROBAMA”, because he is off enjoying his personal life while tornadic disasters are destroying the middle part of America. If Donald thinks this jerk is great, I have some brand new Yugos to sell him.

          • Wayne937

JUKEBOX, that was a big, big blunder on Obummer. I don’t think Dan Quayle could ever top that one. How are the Liberals ever going to defend him on this gaffe, or does his mind come and go. Wow. The Libs will try to defend him, wait and see.

          • Kate8

There is always the possibility that his 57 states gaff was a coded signal to the Islamic world.

            Jus’ sayin’.

        • Wayne937

Now Linda, you have embarrassed Donald. How can he ever defend Obummer for saying we have 57 states? Don’t you feel guilty about this? Ha may not ever come back on here unless you give him an apology. Ha. I am being facetious, Linda. I agree with you. I think it is easy to tell that Obummer was not born in this country. You learn how many states there are when you first enter elementary, maybe even in kindergarten. When you learn those things at an early age it is something you will never forget.

          • http://Moreexpensive,moreunknowproblems. Lewis Munn

            Wayne,

The issue you refer to is not so much where he was born, as to how and where he was raised. The number of states is not imprinted in the genes, but is put into the mind in schools.

All you have to do is find the country with 57 states and you will know where he went to school!

I believe we know at least some of his schooling was in Indonesia under leftists and communists, and some was apparently under Islaamic educators. Whose concepts of the US would be vague and likely wrong, and influenced by the errors of the Islaamic religion.

He does not seem to know about truth, or about the USA, but then, there is no requirement for those in the qualifications for the Presidency, is there?

I am not sure if there is even a requirement that the President be human, is there, specifically? Just traditional. He could have been mis-programmed, by a human.

        • Bob from Calif.

Obama is just an evil little puppet dancing to every pull of his NWO masters strings.

          • http://Moreexpensive,moreunknowproblems. Lewis Munn

Well, Bob, go cut the strings!

      • Wayne937

Donald, don’t be so naive. I have personally heard Obummer make a lot of blumders. Pay more attention to when he is speaking and you may just learn that Obummer is not very good when the teleprompters are missing. He may be your shining light on the hill, but he is not good for the country. I just heard a few minutes ago that the housing market slipped another 4%. You take your Obummer, and I’ll take a good Conservative any old time. I think it will be so bad by 2012 that most sensible people will be begging to vote for another president.

        • Jeff in OH

I really Don’t think he can pay attention, He’s a Demacrap!!

        • http://Moreexpensive,moreunknowproblems. Lewis Munn

With today’s Public Education, and the government constraints and requirements, where do you expect to find sensible people any more?

      • ONTIME

You need to read more and learn to listen…..

      • Tom from Idaho

Oh, Donald, Donald, Donald – - really drinking the Kool Aid this morning! If you’d watch or listen to something besides ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, CNBC or MSNBC (not to mention the ultimate in state run media, NPR), you would have sen and/or heard these quotes yourself, just as I and others on this forum have

      • LeRoy Z.

Also, did anyone see the video clip of O’Bummer’s toast to the Queen of England??? I’ve heard that he didn’t realize they were playing the natonal anthem!!!! How could ANYONE not know that song was their national anthem???? This guy has embarrassed this country absolutely no end!

        • JC

          “Obozo the Clown”?
If he was an American I’d be embarrassed.

        • http://Moreexpensive,moreunknowproblems. Lewis Munn

He was, maybe, in the USA to be born, and never back until he popped into politics, with degrees that cannot be verified…millions of dollars stand resolutely in the way.

At least if you elected me, which I hope you don’t, I can show all my transcripts, and many people still remember me for one thing or another.

And I do not have unexplained gaps in my life.

      • Robin from Arcadia, IN

Donald… It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out why he so needs a teleprompter so badly. I remember the majority of these. If you doubt they are his quotes… look them up on the internet.

    • JC

      I checked just the one…
According to the site below the quote is attributed to Dan Quayle.

      10) “I have made good judgments in the past. I have made good judgments in the future.”

      A. Barack Obama
      B. Dan Quayle
      C. Sarah Palin

      http://www.rinkworks.com/said/danquayle.shtml

      • Wayne937

JC, I’ll do you one better, except you will be able to see this in person with your own eyes. Obummer gaffe’s are plentiful. Oh yes! he also say the U.S. has 57 states, and that he had visited 56 of them. Check out this youtube video of Obummer’s gaffes. Yes, your Obummer is really smart when it come geography. He definately needs that teleprompter, it makes him look smarter than he really is. If your brave enough, take a look at the youtube video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p9hZpJp7U3Y

        • RWT001

Give Obama a break. He wasn’t born in the USA. His source of information is probably what he learned indirectly from the Chicago school system.

      • Wayne937

JC, this is most likely a Liberal Web Site that wants to place Obummer’s gaffes on Dan Quayle. Dan may not have been able to spell potato, but he certainly knew this country had 50 states, not 57 states. How can you defend Obummer on this one? Of course since Obummer was not born in this country maybe we will should give him a break as he most likely never studied any geography relating to this country. Go ahead and defend your president. We are already starting to see bad things happening in this country like, high gasoline prices, high umemployment, economy in tank, house values declining, grocery prices rising, consumer prices rising and many, many other thing on the wane. This is a bad sign Liberals. If Liberals can’t see this, you are completely blind, or are living in a la la land somewhere, so I guess we will have to feel sorry for them, or should we excuse them for their lack of intelligence? I am going to make a prediction for the next 2 years: I am not a physic, but I am predicting that things are going to get much worse over the next 2 years. Mark this one on your calendar, and remember the place where you read it. I have my reason why I am making this statement after very considerable thought on why this is going to happen. I will not tell you the reason why I am making this prediction. You Libs will probably want to change your minds when the next election rolls around and vote for anyone else beside Obummer, the blunderer.

      • JC

        Fair enough Wayne.
I just checked the one and decided against using snopes.
I’m certainly aware that the Kenyan is no rocket scientist.
(in fact a village in Kenya is missing its idiot) ;)

        • Wayne937

Thanks for letting me know, JC. I appreciate it. I have heard that Snope leans toward Obama’s side. I read on a USGS (United States Geological Web Site) where the Bakken Region in Montana suppots between 3.5 and 4.0 billion barrels of oil. Snopes disputes this even though it is on the USGS (government) own website. Since the Liberals are always demanding proof this is the website where I read it:
http://www.usgs.gov/newsroom/article.asp?ID=1911 The Libs will most likely find some way to try and rebuke this article. Snope rebukes this article, but I don’t put much faith in the. They are a man and wife team, lawyers I think, who are Liberal Leaning folks who are Obummer lovers. At least that is what I have read in several places. This is the reason I don’t go to Snope anymore for my information.

          • Kate8

Wayne – Snopes is nothing but a liberal couple, paid by Soros, to carry water for him from their home computer.

Think about it anyway. How can any single source have the “truth” about everything. All sources are biased, and will report what they’ve been led to believe.

In today’s world, “truth” has little meaning.

        • JeffH

JC, sometimes your delivery tickles me as much as Ben Crystal’s and Robert Ringer’s do. :)

          • JC

            Thanks Jeff,
Love the Alfred E Kenyan icon.
            How do you do that?

          • JeffH

JC, go to the Gravatar website: http://en.gravatar.com/
Start a no cost account and follow the directions. You can download from pictures saved on your computer(hard drive) and set your own personal avatar. Gravatar is the source for the avatars here on PLD.

          • JC

I’ll give that a try. Thanks.

          • JC

            Hey again Jeff,
Went to Gravatar, created an account, uploaded some images…
NOW! How do they get from there to here? LOL
I tried a bunch of stuff last night and no luck. :(

      • Patriot

I do not recall Dan Qualye ever being President!

        • Wayne937

Your right, Patriot. Why didn’t I catch that when the Liberal posted that one. He was the vice president, not a prisident. He does not count since we are talking about presidents.

          • Kate8

It’s just like the last presidential election. Who did they compare O to? McCain? NO! Palin!.

Of course, truth be said, she’s much more intelligent and accomplished than O, by a long shot. That’s why they had to discredit her.

            But I digress.

    • JUKEBOX

Anytime Obama starts off with “Let me be clear” or “Fundamentally”, you automatically should know that he is fixing to BS you about something, unless you are one of the dumb mass myrmidons.

      • eddie47d

I think that was Nixon who said “let me be clear”.I am not a crook!

        • Tom from Idaho

eddie47 you’re not quite right there, buddy! Obama did preface that remark “let me be clear . . “; heard it myself. Again, do the research, not just listen to the lamestream media. And the correct quote on Nixon is ” . . let me make one thing prefectly clear. . . “. Don’t know if you are old enough to remember but I also saw that one myself on TV back in 1974.

          • jibbs

Eddie47d never doe’d any research on his own. And when you do it for him, he puts on the blinders. By the way eddie, your home id now worth 4%+ less than it was three months ago. How’s that change working for you?

        • Old Henry

          eddie:

Let me say this about that…

        • Wayne937

eddie47d, I don’t think anyone on the forum has ever, or would ever defend Richard Nixon for what he intentionally did. By making a blanket statement like this you are holding the party, not the person, responsible. This is good folks in every party so let’s hold the person responsible instead. Pat Caddel is a Democrat, but not a Liberal. I would vote for this man as a presdent as he has good common horse sense. I don’t know whether you know Pat, or not, but he does appear often on Sean Hannity show on Fox News. Pat tells it like it is whether it good, or bad, for or against either party. He has my highest respect. Like I have said so many times before, apparently you Libs are not digesting this information very well, I will vote for the person regardless of which party he belongs to if I believe in the man. Democrats are not willing to do this and this is what is wrong with the country today. We need a change so vote for the person, not for the party.

          • eddie47d

I have consistently voted for our 1st District Representative for 30 years straight. She is very Conservative, respectful of her constituency and a Republican. So your spin on Democrats is…well spin. I also see others and yourself making blanket statements so are you mindful of that? At the time Nixon was the ultimate Conservative so each of us has to live with the faults of our main party.

    • Old Henry

      Wayne337:

      Let them eat cake.

      • Wayne937

Old Henry, they will be lucky to have cake to eat by the time Obummer gets out of office. Cake will be so high in price they will have to stand in a government line some where, and pick up cheese and milk to feed their family which was earned, of course, from the Conservatives. There wil not be any mmore cake.

        • Old Henry

          Wayne937:

There won’t need to be any cake. Those waskally Wepublicns will have already killed all the poor and hungry…

          • Kate8

Wayne and Old H – Well, for whoever is left, they’ll have to get chipped before they can go through the food lines.

      • Wayne937

Well Eddie47d, this is the first reply I found after your post to make my comment. You will have to admit, you are an exception to the rule. My apology to you. Keep up the good work. But I would like for you to give me, and the other Conservative posting here, several good solid reasons why you like Obummer as our president. In the past I have given several good solid reasons why I don’t like his ideology.
Let me repeat just a few of them:

High oil prices and Obummer refuses to allow drilling in this country.
This leads to higher prices on all, and I mean all consumer goods that you will ever purchase, mainly grocery prices, gasoline prices, energy prices and everything thing else you buy.

Giving Brazil 2.5 billion dollars to drill in Brazil and then tell them we will become their best customer, I heard and seen this with my own tow eyes, and ears.

Giving Mexico 1.5 billion to drill in the Gulf of Mexico after he had stopped all drilling in this country. For confirmation see this website: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20100908072249AAH9CyO

Giving $465 billion in Federal Money to a Finland Car Company to produce elecric cars that cost around $89,000. Can you afford these cars? Proof: townhall.com/tipsheet/jillianbandes/2009/09/29/$465_million_in_federal_money_given_to_foreign_car_manufacturer_that
        _produces_nothing_but_$109,000
        _roadsters

I could go on an on how much other things Obama has givn away to other countries in Federal Tax Dollars, but I’ll stop here. Do you appove of all these things Obummer has done. If so, your are not a Conservative by any means.

        • JeffH

Wayne937, “I would like for you to give me, and the other Conservative posting here, several good solid reasons why you like Obummer as our president.”

Just a warning, don’t hold your breath for a legitimate answer…lol!

          • Kate8

            JeffH – ?????

Everyone knows that the only reason for NOT liking Obama is because you are a racist, straight up.

We only object to him having unlimited powers because he’s black. And Muslim. And communist. And he’s defrauded the American people by trying to hide his true origins…and every word that comes out of his mouth is a blatant and shameless lie…

            Hey? What’s the beef?

          • JeffH

Kate8, I was quoting Wayne’s request from eddie, letting him know not to hold his breath waiting for an answer. Sorry if I confused you.

          • Kate8

JeffH – LOL. I realize that.

I was just saying, they can only come up with a reason why we DON’T like him. And it’s stupid.

Yes, that a good one, JeffH. I can’t say anything good about this man. He is ruining this country. I will never know how he managed to get 53 percent of the vote. What a bunch of dummies we have in his country…maybe gullible would be the best word to use here.

      • Al Sieber

Old H, it’s not the “cake” you think it is, it’s the cake that builds up in the chimneys when they’re cooking bread etc. soot builds up and they have to chisel it off. so wonder they had a revolution and cut off their heads.

    • Patriot

Hey you missed one, how about when he called the Navy Corps the “Corpse” men?

      • Johnny

I learned, when I was a little boy, not to say “corpse” when I saw the word “corps.” My mother taught me how to pronouce it. What did his mother teach him? Had he ever seen the word before?

        • Johnny

I also learned, when I was in grammar school, the difference between the melody of the British National Anthem and the melody of the song “My country, ’tis of thee.” Perhaps Mr. Obama thought that the band was playing “America,” (if he had ever heard it) and had no idea that it would HAVE to have been “God Save the Queen.” Does he know anything about national anthems?

        • Wayne937

          Good one, johnny!!!!

        • JeffH

What did his(O’s) mother teach him?…apparently not much more than embracing commuism…

Yep! that was another one of Obummer’s gaffes. I’ll bet we could fill this page up with them. Let’s google for Obama gaffes, and we’ll find more then we need to fine. This is just a starting point. There are plenty of other places if you google for Obama’s Faffes.

I hear of a major scandal in August that will cause Obama not to run again. He will make a major announcement in August that could lead to his impeachment if he doesn’t resign. So, the Lord does WORK in mysterious ways! Stay tuned, folks! A leading psychic has predicted this.

    • Donald

      Leading Psychic? A laughable source.

            Pat who?

    • Wayne937

Well Ruth, I am not a believer in Phychics in anyway, shape, or form, but I hope he/she is right this time. I just want to see our country get back to where it can be a proud nation again. We all need to be able to respect our government leaders. I cannot do that now with this administration and part of Obummer’s Liberal Zombie Congress who has got us in debt over our head. I feel sad for the decent people in the country that wants to have a better country, and a better future, and can’t.

Hummmm, your right, Old Henry. I have never been to one, nor will I ever go to one, but I knew of others who have.

        • Wayne937

Old Henry, Gary Johnson is an ex-govenor from New Mexico. He is for legalizing all types of drugs so that leaves him out for me. I have seen the results of what these drugs can do to our young folks and it is not a very prettgy sight. I won’t go into detail, but I had experience it first hand as a law enforcement officer.

          • jibbs

Making drugs illegal has never stopped those who want them from getting them, come out from under the rock.

          • JC

Wayne I’m no more for seeing anyone get hurt than you are.
But doesn’t the state already have a law against impaired driving?
And if we ban drugs to better control people’s bahaviour, should we not then ban alcohol as well?

The only reason pot is illegal is because anyone can grow it and the government wouldn’t get a dime. The upside for the government here is expanded power to control and imprison people. And then hold that charge over them the rest of their lives. Control!

I don’t advocate the use of any mood altering substances of any kind and I don’t drink. But it isn’t up to me to tell others what to do with their own bodies. And it wouldn’t it be especially immoral of me to do so if there was political or financial gain in it for me?

Enforce the safe driving laws in a system of justice and let people choose the right thing to do. (especially if killing someone while stoned or drunk got you a 10 year minimum)

          • ValDM

Jovi, Jeremy, HFlashman are all the same person. When this was made known, “they” don’t post anymore, but it took more than a week for “them” to get that we were on to “them”. LOL

        • jibbs

          Hey!! thats my line……..lol

      • Wayne937

Gibbs, let them come out from under a rock. No sense making it easier for them by making it legal, and having the government provide it to them. This has been tried in several countries and it has always failed. I am not kidding you, this man said that the government would provide drugs to thise druggies. I don’t want my money given to people who do not have any will power to refrain. I refrain from illegal drugs and so can these druggies.

      • Wayne937

JC, you can’t get high on drugs without effecting other people. Have you ever tried to get an intoxicated person not to drive a car? When people drive in an intoxicated condition they put your life, your families life and everyone else in danger. Like I have said previously, I had retired from law enforcement. I have investigated, and seen results from people driving under the influence of alcohol, and from being high on drugs. It is not a very pretty sight to see some of the accidents they cause, JC. I knew of another 17 year old boy who jumped three stories head first into a concrete parking lot while he was under the influence of LSD. This is just some of the tragedy and violence I have seen over 26+ years on the job. Don’t let anyone tell you these folks don’t drive while they are high, or under the influence. Don’t let anyone tell you that they are not a danger to others because they certainly are. I have the experience to make an educated statement on this one, JC. Besides what I have described above using drugs causes these young folks to become criminals. They will break into your home, steal from stores and commit robbery just to support their habit. Now you know why I am steadfast against drugs. My sister had 3 children killed by a drunk driver several years ago. Would you still like to see them pass a law to allow these folks to legally use drugs and cause these tragedys? I certainly don’t.

        • libertytrain

Lately the horrific accidents I read about where I live isn’t alcohol related, it’s cellphone and/or texting related. I think that has quickly replaced drunk driving.

        • JC

          Hi Wayne,
Thanks for the feedback. Don’t get me wrong here, I absolutely appreciate your position and the experience that leads to it.

I just don’t believe that the “Governments War on Drugs” is an effective solution.
While it may sound cold (I don’t mean to be)tragedies happen and will continue to happen until we educate our young people. The government is not in any way effective in this area.

If people drink and drive they should be “severely” punished.
If they kill someone – the sky’s the limit for punishment.
If they are impaired in any way while driving…same idea.
If they sell someting noxious of toxic to anyone underaged,
          10 years prison time.

If they break into my house to support their habit…I kill them.

          Justice as opposed to “Law”.

How long do you think people would continue to put others in danger given those circumstances?

    • Old Henry

    • Wayne937

Curtis, why do you have to throw race into the equation? Race does not have anything to do with our discussion on this forum when it comes to Obummer. It is not the color of Obummer’s skin that is in question here, it is his ideology that people don’t like. Grow up and leave race out of the equation. He is leading this country down the wrong road. Even if a Republican was doing this I would be equally against him also. So let’s be clear here, it is the man, not his skin color that is to blame for this country going down hill.

    • JUKEBOX

There you racists go again, perpetuating the fraud about Obama being “BLACK”. Only half of his genes are BLACK, which qualifies hi to be called either BI-RACIAL, MULATTO, or HAPA HAOLE, which comes from his alleged native Hawaii.

  • Wayne937

What I despise more than anything else is when you tell a Liberal that something is black, and he will aggue that it is white. How do you argue intelligently with some one like this. I am not referring to race here, only to colors. I can see everyone having there own opinion, and that is alright. But the things the Democrats Liberals want to argue about is things that are very evident. Just like our huge debt is evident, but they still want to borrow more money. It is quite evident that gasoline prices, and all consumer goods are going up because of the shortage of oil, but Obummer does not want to drill. Don’t the Liberals buy gasoline, groceries and other consumer goods, or is the government buying it for them. Now, even after my statement, the Liberal will probably want to know where my proof is. Liberals, get some one intelligent to go with you to buy the above items, and have them explain to you how much these things have risen in cost since Obummer took over as our president. Hopefully they will be able to convince you that a lot of changes have been made in the last 2 year under Obummer, and not for the best.

    • eddie47d

I always say the same thing about conservatives “if I say black they always say white”.We all bend over backwards to prove our points. Some are rational and some are absurd and we all do it. Conservatives are in the majority here and I have heard many intelligent discussions and some that are just cruel and unwarranted. I’ve also seen crackpots on both sides with outrageous statements. Obama is certainly not the terrible President you make him out to be but he also won’t make the top 10 list anywhere soon either. Presidential gaffes are legendary and make for a good punchline but the economy is the number one issue. Obama and the Republicans are both doing an ungodly awful job in turning things around. We are all more interested in sound bites than actually progress. It’s always how we can tear our opponents apart in the next election instead of fixing the problems of today.Election cycles are 24/7 everyday with everyone defending their turf: creating new crises without solving the old ones.

      • Old Henry

Well eddie, then you must learn that the conservative is correct.

That is why we are called right.

        • eddie47d

          LOL,Nice sound bite!

      • Wayne937

eddie47d, yes! you will bend over backwards to prove your point even when you know its a lie. That is what bothers me. I would not do that, period. If I am wrong, I would concede, or I would apologize. You Democrats will never do that even when your wrong. Now I have previously stated I would vote for Pat Caddell. Pat is a Democrat I believe in. Now let me call your bluff eddie47d, what Republican, or Conservative, would you ever voted for???? Has there ever been a Republican or Democrat you would have voted for? Or are all Repubicans, or Conservative evil in your mind set. Really think this one through before you respond, eddie47d.

    • karolyn

Gas prices here have gone down almost 40 cents here in the past 2-3 weeks. I just paid $3.44.

      • Wayne937

Carolyn, you are so right, but don’t hold your breath on it staying down too much longer. I hear that by this summer after all the folks get on the road gasoline could reach $5.00 a gallon again. You had better vote for a president in 2012 that will make us independent on oil prices or you may be sorry.

      • Old Henry

        Karolyn:

        What a deal…

      • CHinCT

Karolyn must have tapped into a refinery pipeline somewhere. As of 4 PM today, the station around the corner from my house here in CT was selling unleaded regular for $4.099/Gal. And that’s down from $4.239 about 2 weeks ago. I know CT has almost the highest gas taxes in the country, but $0.66/gal. less?! That’s an amazing price. Just goes to show what “zone pricing” does.

        • Wayne937

CHinCT, check out this website for the cheapest gas for your area. I guess it works as far as I know. Maybe Krolyn should do it also.
          http://gasbuddy.com/

          • Karolyn

The highest price listed in SC is $3.85. If I drove 2 hours west, I could get it for $3.22.

        • Karolyn

South Carolina is one of the states with the lowest taxes in the country. Before living here I lived in Jersey, another low gas tax state. I’m right on the border with NC, where the gas is at least .20 more. It’s nice to have low taxes, but this state does not have much of anything in it; and like so many others is cutting everything. I’d rather see them raising taxes than cutting education and other very important programs.

      • Al Sieber

Karolyn, here in Ariz. I’m paying $3.68 a gal. $3.95 for diesel, it cost me 150.00 a day to work and pay 3- employees $400 a day. we need to drill in this country and use our own resources, and put people back to work in this country, and start manufacturing products again.

  • http://stanleymuzyk@gmail.com Nutmegger

Democcrat Jay Leno calls Sarah Palin an AIRHEAD on his TV show. However, the REAL AIRHEAD is our acting Commander-in-Chief — Pres. Barack H. Obama, PLAYING GOLF — INSTEAD OF HONORING OUR LIVING AND DECEASED WAR VETERANS, ON MEMORIAL DAY!

However, American voters are stupid, and will reelect this NATIONAL DISGRACE, AS A PHONY PRESIDENT — NEXT YEAR.

GOD BLESS AMERICA, EVEN THOUGH WE SELL HIM OUT — ON ELECTION DAY!

    • eddie47d

Nutmegger; So Obama Didn’t go to Arlington National Cemetery yesterday? Also the golf courses were full around here so I guess we have an awful lot of unpatriotic Americans.Shame on them!

      • Wayne937

Eddie47d, we are talking about the Commander in Chief here. He is the leader of the military. Where is his respect for our troops, living and dead? He is the one who is supposed to set an example for the rest of America. We need to be able to look up to our president as the one whi is setting an example. If Obummer does not take that lead, who will. I do believe that President Bush was always there, whether you like him, or not. It should be evident to every decent red blooded American that Obummer is not full filling his sacred duties to our military. This will all come out in the end, my friend.

        • eddie47d

More hateful spin, for Obama did preside at the memorial in Arlington. You have become a dangerous bunch with an even sicker agenda than those you accuse.

          • JC

This from the Obama worshipping, commie spin doctor himself?
eddie if you weren’t so pathetic, you’d actually be quite funny

          • Wayne937

Give us your proof, eddie47d. That’s what you are always requiring from us. I thought he was out in Joplin, Missourri politicking around trying to gather up votes and letting the Memorial Day take care of itself. If you can prove this I’ll apologize to you again.

          • JeffH

Kudos to eddie, every once in a while you get one right.

Obama actually did speak and lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington National Cemetery on Memorial Day. He even quoted a verse from the Book of Isaiah that was sent to him by a fallen soldiers family.

    • http://none BruMan

Humm, Sarah the airhead, (and really stupid from what I hear) or Obummer, the commie in chief. When Sarah speaks I hear a love of country, affordable energy, freedom to do or be what you want(within the law), get government out of the way and work for living, just sounds pro U.S. When Obummer speaks it’s anti american, more welfare and just too sickining to listen to. Yep, I’m all for 4 more years of the commie…….NOT!

      • Wayne937

BruMan, that is exactly what I see in Sarah Palin also. I think a lot of people (Libs especially) are just plain scared of her. She will permit drilling, lower gasoline prices which in return will lower prices on all consumer goods in this country. If any man/woman wouldn’t want this to happen, they would surely be retarded, and unable to think for themselves.

    • Wayne937

Nutmegger, if we had honest news reporting, Obama would lose big time. The news media is what is destroying, or dividing this nation. If people only took the time to find out these things for themselves they would soon realize where Obummer is leading us. We need the news to only report facts on the politicians and let us make up our own minds.

  • RoyG

Stupid is as stupid does… O-Stupid is anti- american, anti christian, pro himself and pro muslim… you have to ask yourself why O-stupid wont recognise the fallen soldiers….. It’s because they are fighting muslims and he wont go against his religion to actknowledge it.. Just like his lack of an Easter message to the country but he made sure he wished every muslim happy ramadan… He also canceled the national day of prayer in 2009 at the white house but in sept of that year he had 5000 muslims on the white house lawn praying… O but you would never hear the main left media say anything like THAT….

  • http://aol Neen

Hey Donald I remember most of them because I watch a lot of news. If you don’t know then I would have to say you don’t watch news or taljs Obama gives. The media is sickening because they protect Obama and I don’t know if they realize it or not but AMERICA is tired of the media being one sided, the Obama side instead of the truth.

    • Wayne937

If all the news media would come out and just be honest with the American People, you would see a big swing in moods around the country against Obummer. You are so right Neen, the idiotic media is protecting this Obummer for a reason that will only benefit themselves, not all of America. Surely people has to begin to see this. I have seen it all through Obummers predidency. What are these people watching that still supports Obummer. I am going to watch NBC now that Comcast has purchased it to see if their is any swing in their direction for being completely honest in their reporting of the news. I want them to report the facts only, good, or bad, on anyone, Republican, or Democrat, and let us make up our own mind. I would not vote for a Republican that I thought was going to wreck this country. If I thought the Democrats had a good choice, and I believed in him like I do with Pat Caddell, I would vote for him/her. I guess you can call me an Independent. I only want the best man in as our president thas has the entire nation at heart. How many Libs will say what I am saying? I have not heard of any. I say vote for the perosn, not for the party, but the Democrats don’t see it that way, obviously.

      • mikwilly

So are you saying you would not vote for a woman?

        • Wayne937

I don’t know who you are referring to milkwilly. If you are referring to me, I would vote for Sarah Palin and Michele Bauchman in a heart beat. I like these two conservative women and I think they would do a great job for the country.

Rep. Dennis Kucinich has introduced H.Con.Res.51, a resolution ordering President Obama to withdraw armed forces from the war on Libya. This resolution is scheduled for a House vote TOMORROW, Wednesday June 1.

There is bipartisan skepticism toward U.S. intervention in Libya’s civil war. We strongly encourage you to tell your Representative and Senators to support this resolution using DownsizeDC.org’s “Stay out of Libya” campaign.

good example of our commander & less. what is disturbing, after all these liberals have seen and heard from this guy and they still support him, the following is an email i received today, it shoes who the commander and chief really was and is:

George W. Bush speech after capture of Saddam:
The success of yesterday’s mission is a tribute to our men and women now serving in Iraq . The operation was based on the superb work of intelligence analysts who found the dictator’s footprints in a vast country. The operation was carried out with skill and precision by a brave fighting force. Our servicemen and women and our coalition allies have faced many dangers in the hunt for members of the fallen regime, and in their effort to bring hope and freedom to the Iraqi people. Their work continues, and so do the risks. Today, on behalf of the nation, I thank the members of our Armed Forces and I congratulate ‘em.

Barack Obama speech after killing of bin Laden:
And so shortly after taking office, I directed Leon Panetta, the director of the CIA, to make the killing or capture of bin Laden the top priority of our war against al Qaeda, even as we continued our broader efforts to disrupt, dismantle, and defeat his network. Then, last August, after years of painstaking work by our intelligence community, I was briefed on a possible lead to bin Laden. It was far from certain, and it took many months to run this thread to ground. I met repeatedly with MY national security team as we developed more information about the possibility that we had located bin Laden hiding within a compound deep inside of Pakistan . And finally, last week, I determined that we had enough intelligence to take action, and I authorized an operation to get Osama bin Laden and bring him to justice. Today, at my direction, the United States launched a targeted operation against that compound in Abbottabad , Pakistan .

Well, Bush at least showed a little class.
The Kenyan is obviuosly an ego-maniac…I I I Me Me Me…

    • JeffH

chuckb, let’s get the important number out here.

Bush used the word “I” twice. First to personally thank those that did the job and second to personally say thank you. Never used the word “my” one time.

Obama used “I” four times and “My” three times, all the time centered on himself.

JeffH – It seems that he may have exceeded even Slick Willy’s self-references.

Add some insult to Obama’s injury.

House torpedoes unconditional hike to $14.3 trillion debt ceiling.
The vote was 318-97, with 82 Democrats joining every Republican in rejecting legislation that would have authorized $2.4 trillion in additional borrowing by the federal government. Seven Democrats voted present on the legislation.

In an unusual twist, the chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, Rep. Dave Camp (R-Mich.), sponsored the bill only to oppose it.

Hours before the vote, Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) said he was advising Democrats to oppose the measure to avoid political attacks from Republicans. “My advice to them would be not to play this political charade,” Hoyer said at his weekly press briefing.

Political charade? My god these people are so stupid most of the time.

WAYNE ALLYN ROOT: Overwhelm the system
Barack Obama is no fool. He is not incompetent. To the contrary, he is brilliant. He knows exactly what he’s doing. He is purposely overwhelming the U.S. economy to create systemic failure, economic crisis and social chaos — thereby destroying capitalism and our country from within.
Barack Obama is my college classmate ( Columbia University , class of ’83). As Glenn Beck correctly predicted from day one, Obama is following the plan of Cloward & Piven, two professors at Columbia University . They outlined a plan to socialize America by overwhelming the system with government spending and entitlement demands. Add up the clues below.
Taken individually they’re alarming. Taken as a whole, it is a brilliant, Machiavellian game plan to turn the United States into a socialist/Marxist state with a permanent majority that desperately needs government for survival … and can be counted on to always vote for bigger government. Why not? They have no responsibility to pay for it.

    – Universal health care. The health care bill had very little to do with health care. It had everything to do with unionizing millions of hospital and health care workers, as well as adding 15,000 to 20,000 new IRS agents (who will join government employee unions). Obama doesn’t care that giving free health care to 30 million Americans will add trillions to the national debt. What he does care about is that it cements the dependence of those 30 million voters to Democrats and big government. Who but a socialist revolutionary would pass this reckless spending bill in the middle of a depression?

    – Cap and trade. Like health care legislation having nothing to do with health care, cap and trade has nothing to do with global warming. It has everything to do with redistribution of income, government control of the economy and a criminal payoff to Obama’s biggest contributors. Those powerful and wealthy unions and contributors (like GE, which owns NBC, MSNBC and CNBC) can then be counted on to support everything Obama wants. They will kick-back hundreds of millions of dollars in contributions to Obama and the Democratic Party to keep them in power. The bonus is that all the new taxes on Americans with bigger cars, bigger homes and businesses helps Obama “spread the wealth around.”

    – Make Puerto Rico a state. Why? Who’s asking for a 51st state? Who’s asking for millions of new welfare recipients and government entitlement addicts in the middle of a depression? Certainly not American taxpayers. But this has been Obama’s plan all along. His goal is to add two new Democrat senators, five Democrat congressman and a million loyal Democratic voters who are dependent on big government.

    – Legalize 12 million illegal immigrants. Just giving these 12 million potential new citizens free health care alone could overwhelm the system and bankrupt America . But it adds 12 million reliable new Democrat voters who can be counted on to support big government. Add another few trillion dollars in welfare, aid to dependent children, food stamps, free medical, education, tax credits for the poor, and eventually Social Security.

    – Stimulus and bailouts. Where did all that money go? It went to Democrat contributors, organizations (ACORN), and unions — including billions of dollars to save or create jobs of government employees across the country. It went to save GM and Chrysler so that their employees could keep paying union dues. It went to AIG so that Goldman Sachs could be bailed out (after giving Obama almost $1 million in contributions). A staggering $125 billion went to teachers (thereby protecting their union dues). All those public employees will vote loyally Democrat to protect their bloated salaries and pensions that are bankrupting America . The country goes broke, future generations face a bleak future, but Obama, the Democrat Party, government, and the unions grow more powerful. The ends justify the means.

    – Raise taxes on small business owners, high-income earners, and job creators. Put the entire burden on only the top 20 percent of taxpayers, redistribute the income, punish success, and reward those who did nothing to deserve it (except vote for Obama). Reagan wanted to dramatically cut taxes in order to starve the government. Obama wants to dramatically raise taxes to starve his political opposition.

With the acts outlined above, Obama and his regime have created a vast and rapidly expanding constituency of voters dependent on big government; a vast privileged class of public employees who work for big government; and a government dedicated to destroying capitalism and installing themselves as socialist rulers by overwhelming the system.

Add it up and you’ve got the perfect Marxist scheme — all devised by my Columbia University college classmate Barack Obama using the Cloward and Piven Plan.

Not a surprise at all. What these anti-gun idiots don’t report is that:

      05/27/11 – NRA Grassroots Report

Gun Ownership Skyrockets, While Violent Crime Drops…Again

This week, the FBI estimated that the number of violent crimes decreased 5.5 percent from 2009 to 2010, including a 4.4 percent decrease in the number of murders. Because the U.S. population increased during the period, the figures imply that the total violent crime per capita rate and the murder rate decreased more than six percent and five percent, respectively. Based upon the preliminary data, it appears that violent crime fell to a 37-year low and murder fell to a 47-year low. The FBI will report final figures for 2010 later this year.

      • Kate8

JeffH – I know that you know that the PTB are not about reducing gun crimes among US.

They want to protect themselves from an angry populace.

I am still waiting for some of the Liberals to give we Conservatives at least 5 solid sensible answers what Obummer has done corectly since he has been in office, and why should anyone give him a second chance. I have given many answers in my previous post why he should be impeached, or voted out of office the next election. Karolyn, I think you, or Eddie, would be good folks to ty and give us 5, or more reasons, why we should vote for Obummer again since your the 2 that sticks up for him the most. List your answers #1 through #5. Start with; this is my 5 reasons what Obummer has done a good for the coutry, and should be voted back in office in 2012. I will list some of my reasons again incase you two may have fogot them.

#1) Obummer is against drilling for oil which leads to higher gasoline prices, food prices and higher prices on all consumer goods.

#2) Obummer giving other countries such as Brazil 2.5 billion dollars and Mexico 1.5 billion dollar to drill off shore and telling them we will be their best customer.

    3) Obummer’s has a high umemployment rate of around 9% after 2 1/2 years in office.

    4) Obummer has spent approx. 3.7 trillion dollars since he has been in office. More than all previous presidents combined in the history of this country.

    5) Obummer not going through Congress and hiring his Czars and avoiding background checks by Congress. Communist Van Jones was hired by Obummer without any background check.

    6) Obummer’s association with known criminals from his home town of Chicago, and sitting in a church for 20 years whose minister blasphemed the U.S.

    7) Obummer shoving the health care down our throat when 63% of the people did not want it.

    8) Obummer promised us transparency before being elected to office. We know that the health care bill was done behind closed doors, without including the Republicans. Obummer broke his promise.

    9) Obummer tried to pass the “Cap & Trade” bill. This would have resulted in an increase in energy prices anywhere from 50% to 75% more than what we are currently paying now. This would have hurt the poor folks that most likely voted for him.

    10) Obummer is against using coal, nuclear and oil for producing our energy supply. This only leaves us with ethonol which is made from corn, thus driving up food prices still further as a lot of food is made from corn. When you use corn for fuel it uses up our supply of corn that could be used as food. Obummer wants to use solar and wind for power. We would not have any power on cloudy, windless days.

I could keep going, but I will stop here. Now, Karolyn, or Eddie, it is your turn to name at least 5 good things about Obummer, and what good he has done for this country. Let’s face it folks, Obummer wants to take the cash right out of your wallets and pocketbooks. You had better thank God that Congress was to busy with the healthcare bill that they did not get time to pass the “Cap & Trade” bill. I can assure you that Obummer is not looking out for the poor working man as you might want to believe. If you believe this, I’ll sell you a bridge to Alaska. Now Karolyn, or eddie47d, it is your turn to give us good concrete reasons why Obummer is a good presidend, and why we should keep him in office.

      Don’t hold your breath Wayne.
At best you’ll get some crap about you’re “spinning the facts” and nothing to back that up either.
