Blaming Romney

September 28, 2012 by

Accuse them of what our side is doing. Guess what? The New York Times agrees that one of the candidates for President is trying to pit one class against another in this country. And it’s decided that the culprit is Mitt Romney. “There is class warfare being waged in the 2012 campaign,” the newspaper said in an editorial. “It is Mr. Romney who is waging it, not President Obama.” I guess that’s what can happen when an editorial writer reads only what appears in his own paper.

Facebook founder loses a fortune. According to the latest list of the Forbes 400, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg was the biggest financial loser in the group in the past year. The magazine says his estimated net worth plunged $8.1 billion, thanks to the sharp decline in the value of his stock. He fell from No. 14 on the list to No. 36. But Zuckerberg shouldn’t run out of money anytime soon; according to Forbes, he’s still worth a rather hefty $9.4 billion.

The top spots stay the same. No surprise who occupies the top spot on the Forbes 400 list. For the 19th year in a row, it was Microsoft Corp. co-founder Bill Gates, with an estimated net worth of $66 billion. Warren Buffett again took second place, with $46 billion. And Oracle Corp. co-founder Larry Ellison remained third, with $41 billion. Twenty newcomers joined the list this year, including Shahid Khan, the flamboyant new owner of the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars.

Pledging allegiance to whom? The Barack Obama campaign is urging supporters to write on the back of their hands why they support the President — and then take a photograph of themselves with their hand held over their heart and share it online. Talk about a cult of personality!

From the day he got elected, all Obama has been doing is playing class warfare. He tries to divide us by our economic status, but most of all that rasist SOB has been playing race against race. He is just about the most dispicable person (I refuse to refer to him as a human being) that ever lived.

    • Doc Sarvis

How is President Obama playing race against race?

In the article you link to, the author, Mr. Hanson, points to just one quote from President Obama to support his point. That is; “America should be a place where you can always make it if you try; a place where every child, no matter what they look like, where they come from, should have a chance to succeed.” I hardly call that as strong evidence for playing the race card.

Try “the Cambridge police acted stupidly.”

Try explaining why Obama’s DOJ won’t prosecute Black Panthers when they violate Voter Rights laws, but assiduously go after whites who do so.

How ’bout saying his white grandmother was a “typical white person?”

I could go on, but it’s against your programming so it wouldn’t register with you anyway.

      • eddie47d

The Cambridge police did act “stupidly” or are you for stupid arrests of innocent citizens?

    • Robert Smith

Actually the Republicans have been using fear of “differences” (particularly race) in their “Southern Strategy.”

“, the Southern strategy refers to the Republican Party strategy of winning elections or to gain political support in the Southern section of the country by appealing to racism against African Americans…” From: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southern_strategy

They also take advantage of the red meat hot button issues like abortion and gun control.

What are the three main progressive liberal tactics to avoid any real tenable arguments about the positions which they take on issues related to the current POTUS?
1.Bushbomb.-blaming the previous guy.(this also extends to Reagan for some reason)
2.Racecard.-Pointing to an issue of racial contention in/on any statement that is made,
3,Pointing The Finger Of Blame.-failure to accept responsibility for ones own actions, rather pointing to another to blame them for your obvious shortcomings.

Some or all of these fallacies may have an occaisional basis in fact, but the very fact that they are what the progressive liberal uses on nearly every occaision, speaks volumes about their position on current POTUS related issues.
You really have no basis in fact to rely on the record of the current POTUS,so you try to change the conversation to another topic by one of the three methods I previously described in this post.
These tactics are as old as life itself, but are only used because there are no substantial arguments you can produce to back the claims of the current POTUS,that he should remain in office.
So there is racebaiting, alienation, pitting of one side against the other, false pretenses.lies predicated on fallacial statements, and arrogance on a level never seen before in all of politics.
There are two sides to a coin that has the face of contempt on both.
So now whenever you toss the coin,it comes up heads no matter what you do.
    Call it in the air!~
    Cheers!

      well said!!!

Well, the fact is according to all financial statistics that the upper brackets are getting richer and richer and the poorer brackets are getting poorer, while the middle-class is strugglng but still slipping behind each year. The rich are clearly winning the class war. The net worth of the top 1% in 2012 inflation adjusted dollars was $11 trillion in 1980, today it is $42 trillion. The middle class in comparison has less purchasing power today and slightly less net worth than it did 32 years ago. Granted we are just recovering weakly from a very bad recession, but the fact that the wealthy have been able to quadruple their net worth over the last three decades while working-class, poor, and middle-class are either just staying even or falling behind speaks voumes about an economic system that favors “those in the know and those in the dough.”

Its GOVERNMENT that is destroying the middle class, and causing the divide between the rich and poor. We work hard and try to save for homes, businesses, and our children’s education. Meanwhile the government keeps printing trillions of dollars on the whacky theory that the it causes growth. When all it does is cause inflation. So the money we saved won’t buy the home we dreamed of. We couldn’t start our business. And we don’t have enough to send the kids to that good school.

5% a year or more, EVERY year. It’s just like someone just reached into our pockets and STOLE the money. Can someone here tell me why the money we EARNED 20 years ago, and stashed away shouldn’t buy the same goods or services that it would 20 years ago?

Inflation doesn’t have as much effect on the wealthy. In many cases, they own the businesses we work for. They can always pay themselves more money to counteract the rising cost of bread, gasoline, and housing. The rest of us have to ask for a payraise. And if we don’t get it, our only choice is to live with that reality, or upproot our families with career changes, out of state jobs, etc.

100 years ago, before the government decided it could pay yesterdays bills with todays freshly inked paper, a dollar was worth a dollar, year in, year out. A cup of coffee cost the same as it did 10 years beforehand. Our families, and their children lived in the same community. There was no need to bounce around. With hard work and dedication, we could pull ourselves up by the bootstraps and realize the American dream. Whether the dream was just a comfortable living in a tiny uptown apartment, or a house in the Hamptons.

It is GOVERNMENT that has ruined America. Government can’t create wealth. All they can do is shove it around, and destroy our savings. Currently the wealth is flowing out of the country, because long ago the government abrogated it’s responsibility to maintain a stable money supply and regulate trade.

that is what happens when the paper is owned by a left wing billionaire he likes the idea of Communism or Islam but they REALY WANT TO CONTROL OBAMA AGAIN MY OPINION watch out AMERICA we are on the down hill slide and if OBAMA gets in we had better run for the hills my opinion but vote we still have time that is if he does not my opinion stop the election

    • Doc Sarvis

President Obama stopping the election – VERY funny.

      • Hedgehog

What’s funny about Obama stopping the election? It’s a very real possibility. What’s even less funny is that Romney could win the election and still lose the presidency and his life! In case number one, Obama could manufacture an emergency, declare martial law, suspend the constitution and the election and continue his rule by fiat. In case number two, Romney could win the election but before he is inaugurated, an emergency occurs and Obama proceeds to declare martial law, arrest Romney and anybody else he doesn’t like, imprison them without charge or trial and execute them! If you think Obama is not capable of such action, take a good look at his record.

    • eddie47d

That is all they got Doc. Fear, hate, racism and division. Dale and Hedgehog is more proof of that.

It’s sad that we can no longer trust the media.
Obama has constantly used class and race to try and divide this country!
Evidentily it has worked with a lot of people!
The marxist communist socialism agenda has slowly been introduced into this country!
I find out that muslim marxist communist socialist money has bought the leader of minority communities and US unions!
This is documented …. even as long ago as the 50′s and 60′s and may go back further than that!
I began hearing rumblings of a group trying to organize and control a New World Order over 20 years ago and like a child ignored it …. Now I Believe!!
I have now begun to be afraid of my own government!
If we do not change leadership NOW we may no longer be FREE!

If people don’t start thinking of ‘COUNTRY’ and its founding, the Constitution and The Bill of Rights and stop listening to the long line of lies and crap coming from Obama and company, future generations will damn all those who let it happen. To see the Clintons, who I thought were moderate democrats, standing with Obama is sickening. Pelosi, the wicked witch of the west, and Harry Reid, the senile idiot of the senate, should be locked up pronto. I have difficulty wondering why Obama hasn’t been impeached a couple years ago. And a first lady who refers to that damned flag!!
