I, and other people need to know where it’s best to live, not in the cities for sure.
What is it like in the farthest down east of Maine?
Why do you live in Alabama?
Olive Branch, Miss.
It is my opinion that it is best to move out of cities into a rural area that affords you the opportunity to grow your own food and livestock and have some modicum of security and privacy, especially when (not if) the dollar collapses. That will be a time of turmoil and hardship for the unprepared, city dwellers especially.
I am not familiar with the area around Maine, though I know the climate would not be suitable for me. I detest cold temperatures. I no longer live in Alabama, though it is where I was raised. I moved out of the U.S. five years ago and only occasionally come back to Alabama to visit family.
If you decide to move out of the U.S. and expatriate, I like (from what I know) the countries of Costa Rica, Singapore and the Bahamas. Uruguay would also be a choice country. Uruguay is about as big as Missouri and has a mostly Italian, German and English population. There is also a group of libertarians forming a community in Chili called Gault’s Gulch.
