Bearded Dragon Found Wandering In Boston Nursed Back To Health

BOSTON, (UPI) — Animal rescuers in Boston said a family has adopted a bearded dragon found wandering with an injured leg.

The Animal Rescue League said the reptile, an Australian species named for its ability to flare out its skin to resemble a beard, has been nursed back to health and returned to a healthy weight since he was found emaciated July 25, The Boston Globe reported Wednesday.

The animal has permanently lost the use of one leg, the league said.

Roscoe was cared for by an adoption agent and has now been adopted by a father and daughter with experience caring for injured bearded dragons.
