Obama “needed a good teacher.” At least SOMEONE knows what Todd Akin is talking about. Also: bad touching with Crazy Joe Biden. All this — plus — Julie as your FEMA Director! Presented in 1080 hi-def, FOR FREE! It’s The Great Eight, from the Personal Liberty Digest™!

Obama 2012. The most thoughtful and caring president is also the coolest. Love our very intelligent president!

    • Lindy

How long have you been a member of the Communist Party?

      • LyndaLouise

We Republicans should start thinking about voting for Ron Paul. He is a decent human being who truly cares about our country. Romney – birther remark tells us loud and clear, he doesn’t. Ann’s remark, “YOU PEOPLE” should leave us along regarding their taxes says he doesn’t care either.

      • merid

a vote for Ron Paul is a vote for Obama..Is that what you want? 4 more years of disaster?

      • Vicki

        merid says:
“a vote for Ron Paul is a vote for Obama..Is that what you want? 4 more years of disaster?”

A vote for Ron Paul is a vote for Ron Paul. Giving obama one less vote is not giving obama one more vote. Simple math but then I have to remember public (lack of) education.

This year you have 3 choices

        obama
        obama spelled with an R.
        Ron Paul.

If you support and defend the Constitution that would be one choice.

        Tamara isn’t a communist; she’s just a silly, brainless liberal…pretty much a typical b o worshipper.

      • eddie47d

…and you Mr Dan are a mindless Republican troll with nothing to say.

      • vieteravet

Hey groupees, stop the Ron Paul BS, you vote for him you vote for Obama. Do the math!

      • Vicki

        vieteravet says:
“Hey groupees, stop the Ron Paul BS, you vote for him you vote for Obama. Do the math!”

WE did the math. A vote for Romney is a vote for obama. Even more so because there is no real difference between Romney and obama.

      • Old Henry

To the best of my knowledge Ron Paul will be nowhere on the ballot – unfortunately. If you write in his name, and he is not running a write-in campaign, it will invalidate your entire ballot.

A better plan is to vote for Gary Johnson on the Libertarian ticket – especially after the way the RNC / GOP have disrespected Ron Paul.

      • Ron r

how long have you been a fascist Lindy

      • Ron r

lindt, how long have you been a fascist???

      • Petunia Skrebble

Merid, if either Romney or Obama gets in , it will be 4 more years of the same policies we have had since 9-11. Ron Paul is the only one who has been consistance for his entire 30 years in office. YOu should bone up on facts before you vote. It was Obama who signed the bill called the NDAA which allows the feds to arrest and detains someone without due process or trial. You call that good and caring????

      • Ron r

So Lindy that would make you a fascist wouldn’t it?

      • http://www.11phenomenon.com Gene

@Vicki A vote for Ron Paul is a vote for a further weakened national security.

      • http://www.blogchow.com blogchow

And you eddie47d should use some facts or something before calling other people trolls. Otherwise you look like a hypocrite.

    • Vigilant

Tamara got up early in the morning to make the “firstest with the leastest” comment.

“Cool” is the criterion by which we judge the superficial, the disingenuous, the narcissistic, not the standard to which we hold presidents (unless you are black)..

      • eddie47d

You just outed yourself Vigilant. Apparently you don’t want an intelligent and caring President or a “black” one for that matter. The word “cool” wasn’t the only part of her sentence. You may have meant something else but you certainly didn’t say it.

      • Valerie

WOW, what an amazingly stupid comment. You had me going, until the last sentence, at which time you proved yourself a shallow moron. Good luck in the modern world – maybe you should hole up (literally, in a hole), with some canned goods and weapons.

      • Vigilant

Need to make up your mind, oh clueless one, as to whether you are Valerie or vlbock. Use of multiple screen names is a sign of deceptiveness. Or did you decide that using the vlbock link was unethical?

BTW, The statement that 95% of the blacks voted for Obama is a statement of empirical truth, it’s not racist by any stretch.

      • Rodney burke

The worst part is he is supposedly educated and only half-black I have to wonder whether his mother’s side taught him to spell, his father, who we don’t even know for sure taught him only to hate, steal, cheat and lie. He is a disgrace to both Columbia AND Harvard, I think both universities should ask for his diploma back. He is a disgrace to both!

      • http://none Thom Stewart

To me it just sounded like sarcasim aimed at humor. Apparently she was much more sarcastic than funny.

      • Vigilant

eddie, as usual, steps on his member again with, “You just outed yourself Vigilant. Apparently you don’t want an intelligent and caring President or a “black” one for that matter. The word “cool” wasn’t the only part of her sentence. You may have meant something else but you certainly didn’t say it.”

“Outed myself?” Do I perceive the gratuitous playing of the race card again? Where did I say or even hint that I don’t want a black president? Give me a conservative Constitutionalist of any race, creed, color, gender or even sexual preferebnce and I’ll vote for him/her.

Intelligent, yes, caring, not in the sense you mean it. Where does it say in the inaugural oath that he promises to be caring and cool, or intelligent for that matter?

His job is to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution. Obama has garnered three strikes. He should be out of office.

      • Old Henry

        Rodney:

How do we know Barry Soetoro the communist Kenyan has a diploma from either school? Because he says so?

    • LIBERTY 273

You’re joking right?…. Being the President has nothing to do with being COOL!…. Let’s not forget to mention how he TRIPLED the deficit in four years; what was the purpose of that?… We definitly have not prospered from that. “More DEBT” and its a direct result of his intelligence that is no higher than dirt.

      • Old Henry

        Liberty:

I am guessing Tamara is one of the 47 percenters, or on the dole. As such she has no concern of what the debt may be as long as her checks keep on coming. And when they stop, it will be the fault of the “rich” because they did not pay their fare share.

      • Vigilant

Judging from her name, I’m guessing she’s also one of the 95% of voted for him because he’s black.

      • Nadzieja Batki

Don’t waste your time arguing with O groupies. At the moment they are all in HEAT. Have you not come to realize O is their embodiment of a “man” and each one of them believes that if O only saw them he would be in love with them and they would live happily ever after.

      • JUKEBOX

The shooting in NYC yesterday can be placed indirectly on Obama’s boney shoulders, because the shooter was upset over being laid off due to a cutback in business. Obama is more to blame for this than Romney was blamed for the woman dying of cancer seven years after he left Bain.

      • eddie47d

Vigilant now makes another ASSumption and brings up race to bait the issue.

      • Norm

        LIBERTY 273
Let’s not forget Bush left the economy in shambles.
And let’s not forget that Romney wants to increase the military budget, cut taxes on multimillionaires already paying at the poverty rate, and destroy Social Security and Medicare.
Oh and don’t forget Romney wants government to regulate our religious, personal, and sexual preferences.

      • Vigilant

Not-so-Warm Norm says, “Let’s not forget Bush left the economy in shambles.”

        (1) Democrats created the economic debacle by keeping afloat Fannie/Freddie after the Bush administration over 15 times warned the Congressional Democrats of the impending implosion. He was ignored.

        (2) In case you don’t have a calendar, it’s 2012. Obama’s had 4 years to turn things around. Not only has he failed to do it, he has made things worse for the country.

“And let’s not forget that Romney wants to increase the military budget, cut taxes on multimillionaires already paying at the poverty rate, and destroy Social Security and Medicare.”

If you don’t know who pays the taxes in this country, go to http://www.ntu.org/tax-basics/who-pays-income-taxes.html. The top 10% pay 70.5% of the taxes.

As for destroying SS and Medicare, you’re just another (probably paid) operative spouting the lies of Dem talking points. Where’s the beef?

“Oh and don’t forget Romney wants government to regulate our religious, personal, and sexual preferences.”

That statement means nothing unless you are prepared to back it up with factual details. Guess what? Those “facts” don’t exist.

      • http://vlbock.wordpress.com vlbock

Vigilant’s entire talent lies in his ability to spit venom at other people. You know what us WHITE country girls do with snakes like you? Cut off their heads and make hat bands with the skins.

I thought “racism is dead” was the credo of the racist idiots in this country, but darn it, you just can’t help but show your true “colors,” now, can you?

      • Nadzieja Batki

vblock, making threats is not Freedom of Speech no matter how you were told to couch the words.

      • Vigilant

vlbock says, “Vigilant’s entire talent lies in his ability to spit venom at other people. You know what us WHITE country girls do with snakes like you? Cut off their heads and make hat bands with the skins.”

Come on my 123 acres on the country with an attitude like that, and you’ll likely feel the sting of my 16 gauge shotgun.

Then, the closet liberal says, “I thought “racism is dead” was the credo of the racist idiots in this country, but darn it, you just can’t help but show your true “colors,” now, can you?”

Name ONE racist comment of mine and I’ll LET you cut off my head. Best to not test the depth of the waters with both feet at the same time, dearie.

      • eddie47d

Now Vigilant is using trash talk and violence to enhance his thought process. Will he stoop as low in his next comment?

      • Karolyn

Juke – It came out that the NYC shootings had nothing to do with the guy losing his job. It was due to a feud.

      • Kate8
      • Vigilant

eddie says, “Now Vigilant is using trash talk and violence to enhance his thought process. Will he stoop as low in his next comment?”

Oh yes, eddie, when someone threatens to cut my head off I’ll use whatever level of violence is necessary to defend myself. Or do you simpering liberals not believe in self defense?

Read the thread again, this time with comprehension, before you “stoop as low” as to condemn the self defender while ignoring the overt threat from the the perpetrator.

P.S. How does one use “violence to enhance his thought process?” You speak in nonsense, meboy.

Kate8, Thank you and WOW, another great find…again. I subscribed.

      • Average Joe

        Kate8,
Thanx for the link. I read the cover page and added it to my favorites to read archives and such later. Unfortunately, I am prepping for a hurricane at present, I live about 45 miles north of Tampa. Figured it might be a good idea to “batton down the hatches”. Depending on how bad we get hit…I may be offline for a few days. Fortunately for me, I live on a hill and the water will have rise about 30 feet before I start worrying too much, but power outages are a common occurence during bad weather around here.
        Again, thanks for the link,
        Best Wishes,
        AJ

eddie47d, better lay off the computer, give up your coffee mug, the chair you are sitting on, the clothes you are wearing, the house you live in, the car you drive, etc., etc., because most if not all things were manufactured in China and you contributed to our debt to China.

      • Harold Olsen

And yet, Obama says the highlight of his presidency is not Obamacare but that he stabilized the economy. What has he been smoking?

      • Dave67

        Liberty,

Source for your deficit numbers? Please show me all the spending Obama is responsible for.

        Here is the reality:

In a recession, tax receipts go down, payments for unemployment insurance and training workers go up.
We were in two wars while at the same time, the Bush tax cuts were in place.
We are dealing with baby-boomers that are retiring which causes our spending on entitlements to go through the roof because the younger generation entering the workforce does not equal the numbers of retirees…

Obama is responsible for the Stimulus that saved millions of jobs, the auto industry bail out, the second TARP. The HC law is not even on the books yet.

We have two parties in Congress that are more interested in games than fixing the country.

Obama is not the Teddy Roosevelt we needed but Romney will be just another Bush 2 rubber stamp for the banks and wall street that screwed this country.

We need to come together as a country and fix our tax/spending policy, trade policy and regulatory policies. A major focus should also be getting big money out of the political process as well.

Some here say we should have smaller government, “free markets” and less taxes… Sounds great doesn’t it? But the fact is these things do not help us much in the global economy. It does not help us against country’s like China, India and other countries that that pay their workers pennies on the dollar, exert controls on their currency, have no environmental regs or unions to protect workers.

We as Americans need to wise up and stop letting extremists on the right and left and the corporatists divide this country. United we stand, divided we fall. We did not win WW2 with BS like this going on, we worked together. Unitil we get smart… Looks like Khrushchev was right, we will be defeated without a gun even being shot. We will do it to each other…

So stop with “we have lost our freedom BS” We have lost middle class and poor wages because of greed at the top.

    • Old Henry

So Tamara, where are you commenting from? Riyadh?

You should probably get back into rehab.

    • annie1945

You seriously love to watch your country go into so much debt your great grand kids will still be paying it down that is if China doesn’t just take us over. You enjoy watching our rights disappear and working your butt off to have someone take it from you and give it to someone else. There is something so wrong with people who think like you it’s hard to explain much less to understand.

      • JUKEBOX

        Who said she was working?

      • eddie47d

Most of the debt owed to China occurred BEFORE Obama Ms Annie and yes it is hard to find intelligent life from some of you bloggers. LOL!

    • http://horptor2012.wordpress.com jackhammer69

      Thoughtful?? Intelligent?? Really???

He is one of the most naive and misguided people in the country. And he LIES all the time!

      • vieteravet

This is for eddie Obama has explanned the debt 1 trillion in 3.5 years more than Bush did in 8. Most of the China debt came for the Kenyan Village Idiot!

      • Harold Olsen

Naive and misguided? I don’t think so. He said a few months ago that the economy is just fine. From his point of view it is. It’s in the toilet which is where he wants it to be. He’s out to deliberately destroy this country that he hates and what better way to destroy a country than by destroying the economy? His supporters equally hate this country, but then, the left always has!

    • SarahR

If you really like what Obama stands for(Marxism) than go live where it exists and is thriving. Can’t find where it is thriving? Oh, right, it’s a dismal failure ask Carl Marx/Stalin/Hitler. How about China where there are no street light at night. Where they have to secure nets outside of windows of businesses because too many workers have jumped out the windows commiting suicide.

How anyone could seriously consider voting for Flip Romney is totally beyond the realm of intelligent thought.
If you think things are bad now, you “aint seen nuttin yet”. “Trust me” is not a plan for the future.

      • Vigilant

It appears that Obama-lover Norm’s mission here is to encourage the vote split to guarantee re-election of the Socialist.. Not only is your paltry attempt too transparent, it’s typical of the paid operative. Anyone ever tell you you’re a disgusting individual?

      • http://vlbock.wordpress.com vlbock

AHHHH, I get it, now. Vigilant is actually one of Karl Rove’s paid “OPS,” whose mission here is to convince independents that what they really want to be is serfs for wealthy Republicans and that tax-evading outsourcer Mitt Romney has their very best interests at heart (which he promises to articulate, right after you vote him into office!).

Surf on, Vigilant, and make your 1%-er public relations arguments to the poor …. At least you’ve finally got a job.

      • Merriel

A vote for Ron Paul or NO VOTE is a vote for another 4 yrs of Obumba.

Close but the wrong R. A vote for Romney or NO VOTE is a vote for another 4 yrs of Obumba.

Romney is Obama in Romney cloth. Both big government selections for us to choose. One is for big government right now (obama) and the other is for big government real soon (Romney)

Vote for the Constitution. Vote for Principle. Vote against the greater AND lessor of 2 evils.

The Romneys are elitists. To them, we are just insignificant peasants. I don’t believe things will get better under Romney. He’s an Obama clone and I won’t vote for him any more than I’d vote for Obama. Just who I will vote for I do not know, but it’ll be someone whom I believe in.

    • http://Google Tom

Sorry TAMARA, but your Hussein Obama really does not want to be President, he & his family mostly enjoys ALL the FREE Tax paid, trips they have taken, seeing most of the world and the POWER of a President, and the rest of the things, he doesn’t understand nor like. You can see this by the way he always leaves the WH! Never there to work with Congress, because of his trips! He just wants to change America to be a Muslim country!

      • mark

Yeah right Tom, like the two Bushes and Reagan spent all their time working hard at the White House and never took any diplomatic or campaign trips on the taxpayers’ dime. Air Force One is grounded permanently when Republicans are president. The plane never leaves Andrew’s Air Force Base since they are so frugal with the taxpayers’ money. Dubya flew economy on Southwest and paid cash from his own wallet for all this trips.

I am on Tamara’s side, Obama never lied, he told us that he wanted change, and he is changing this obsolete Capitalistic Democratic system, that we have here, for a bright socialist/communist system where everyone will be equal . We don’t need God or Christians any more, that’s a fallacy, what we need are people like you,Tamara, with the desire to work hard and sacrifice for our new system. I also think, like Tamara, that “he is the coolest President we ever had”. During his College years he was addicted to drugs and homosexual behavior, and he doesn’t lie about it. Tamara, don’t listen to all these people, you are on the right track!

I find it hard to believe that ‘people’ like you and Tamara even exist! you both show your stunning ignorance of facts – I know, facts are so bothersome for dimwits! – it must be that you both suck on the Muslim’s tit, otherwise there is no reason to find him ‘cool’, which is another isgn of the deterioration of culture, the misuse of words and taking away their original significance. That Muslim you both adore is the most arrogant (look at the way he holds his head), tyrannic, deceptive, narcissistic megalomaniac I have ever met; It still amazes me that he worked his way into the White House which I believe could only be accomplished by corruption and fraud and he himself is a big fraud: where are his records, why are they all sealed? why show forgeries to the people? He forgets that he is supposed to be working for US, the People, just like everyone else in government: they are OUR employees, we pay for them with our taxes and they abuse their positions and take more than they should and they take it for life, this MUST change. And vipers like you and Tamara better start looking at FACTS, IF you know what facts are or just shut up! Dingbats like you should not interfere in the conversation of intelligent adult people.

It’s sad to realize our country has devolved to such a low point there are actually people who think like you do. Since there is a paucity of meaningful discourse on this blog I won’t proselytize further. I do have a question. What is the motivation to work and sacrifice for your new system which doesn’t reward work or sacrafice?

    • Mr. Gallagher

So there you have it, appearance trumps content..

It’s hard to really tell for sure, is president Obama living in his own little delusional world, thinking he’s doing “good” as the Nation that he swore to “preserve, protect and defend” to the best of his ability is rapidly dismantled on his watch. Or, is he the most polished imposter ever to occupy our White House, his sleight of words bedazzling people and redirecting their attention away from what is really going on with government.

I think that one must understand the Principles of Liberty before they can truly comprehend the creep of communism into our political thinking and social structures. I consider many of the people caught up in the “progressive” movement to be compassionate and caring people. They’ve just bought the lie that having a centralized government take wealth from one part of our population and giving it to another part is an exercise in kindness.

Where is the kindness in providing a subsistence level of living to a person or a family, then holding them there? The burden of holding those recipients on the government dole is then placed upon the backs of the most productive element of our society? This is exactly a plank of the Communist Manifesto, to burden the middle class with massive entitlement programs.

Benjamin Franklin said, “I am for doing good to the poor, but I differ in opinion of the means. I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it. In my youth I traveled much, and I observed in different countries, that the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves, and of course became poorer. And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves, and became richer.”

Let us develop the means to empower the less fortunate, or those who have suffered some catastrophic loss and have thereby been “beaten down” in some manner…finding ways to provide them with opportunities for personal growth and improved success but without causing them to become dependent upon “handouts”.

At this point, the only legitimate and effective replacement for our current president would be Ron Paul, in my opinion.

“You can protect your liberties in this world only by protecting the other man’s freedom. You can be free only if I am free.” ~ Clarence Darrow

      • Average Joe

        Mr. Gallagher ,

Thank you, well said ! I will add, from Tom Woods:

“In a world of cowards, stick to your principles. In a sea of lies, tell the truth. Into the darkness, shine a light. Do those things and be that person. Be courageous, studious, and persistent. Remember that the one person on this earth you have full power to improve is yourself. Learn and teach whenever and wherever you can. Be your own army of one, and then you will be carrying on the Ron Paul legacy.”

Wake up! The KOOL-AID is still on your lips, and brain, from 2008. Obama is a moron, consumed by ideology. Nothing he says or does has any connection to fact-based reality, including global warming, health care, “stimulus” spending. the Constitution, education, energy, and world affairs. He is like an idiot child who has been given free-reign in a candy shop. In reality, he is a singularly empty-headed and uninformed man who is lost without his teleprompter. When he goes off teleprompter, such as when he spoke about people not building their own businesses, his stupidity is revealed for all the world to see.

The only possible reason that Ron Paul can’t win is that YOU vote for Romney instead of
        who you really want.

If all the lessor of 2 evils people would vote their conscience and that would be Ron Paul he would win by the landslide predicted for Romney.

      • Vicki

edgdco1. If everyone who has said he can’t win would stop buying into that nonsense and vote for him he would win by the largest landslide in American voting history.

I agree, if one just listens to each and every one of Obama’s amazing speeches; its heart felt, sincere, and PATRIOTIC. He is our leader, and has needed congress to write and pass bills, so he can sign off on them. President Obama has taken our country from a near Depression, and is leading our country out of the stone age. If only the Republicans cared about our country as much as they do about themselves, we could have passed so many bills that the president inspired to bring greatness back. However, the republicans have only obstructed, so they can stomp their little feet, and say, ‘he did nuttin’ mommy!’. What are they two??? have Republicans had ANY ideas at all besides doing away with health care for poor women, which is now taking place in Texas? Or, privatizing social security? or turning medicare into a voucher program??(Ryan Plan…look it up!!!) Anything else? Oh, yeah….per the full interview of Mit and his wife, poor Seamus the dog “loved it” on top of their station wagon going at highway speeds for 12 hrs at a time up to canada, and then back again??? Do you know this is analogous to water boarding the poor dog by air? WTF? Um, and you wanna be the ‘father’ of America??? OMG!

      • Ted Crawford

In the first case Norm, where did the financing come from to build this Infrastructure? In no small part it was financed by the taxes paid by these same businesses.
In the second case, if Obama believes that he and the Progressives are justified in claiming a share of the credit for these business successes, because of the creation of this infrastructure, don’t they also, by the same criteria, need to accept an equal responsibility for those like Ted Kaczynski, Mohammod Atta, Bernie Maddoff, ETC. , who also used the very same infrastructures to accomplish their goals?

        Norm says:
“How would your business be without transportation, power, communications, and customers?”

Since transportation, power, communications and customers are all provided by private individuals I am not sure I see your point.

If I did not create a business then I would not hire a trucker so a trucker would not create a business to supply transport. I would not need power to run the non-existent business so a power provider would not exist. I would not need to communicate with my customers so no communications would exist.

So the question is not how would my business be but how would THEIR business be.

Robert E. Lee, I saw the entire video of the speech president Obama gave, instead of the splices you were fed, accompanied by opinion used as fact. President Obama actually was talking about how infrastructure, and loans, and our American government with its laws were in place in order for people to start their own businesses.

When the words, ‘You didn’t do this’ were said, he was talking about INFRASTRUCTURE, and had not started to talk about people starting their businesses yet. Its clear you have a need to feed your soul with vile falsehoods about our President. It can only mean you’re LOOKING for anything to validate your preexisitng hate. Hate based on…….??? Do you realize that our country has been pulled outta the gutter by this president, and by taking him out of office at this critical juncture, we will be getting horrifying policies passed such as privatizing social security, changing medicare to a voucher program, and doing away with health care (NOT ABORTION PAID FOR ), yes health care for poor women??? Why are you people so hateful? You are destroying your own selves along with the rest of the country with this hate. (look up the RYAN PLAN)

    • KG

If you listen to Mr Obamas comment closely, and in context, what he said was “…those roads, and bridges…you didn’t build that” which is true. If it werent for the infrastructure provided by OUR Government, no small business would survive. If you are such a “business person”, why doin’t you go to Somalia? I hear they have complete freedom of bearing arms. And the pay NO TAXES! Why, you should make millions there!!!!!

      • Nadzieja Batki

Actually the infrastructures would be better and sounder. Since you seem to think that people are basically selfish why in sam’s hill would they want to create and build things to their self destruction since they would be using those infrastructures.
You are also describing yourself that you would cheat and cut corners if there was noone watching you work.
People who are Jews and Christians know that there is a God watching what they do in life so they will be honest.

      Robert E. Lee,

Are you a liar or just that mis-informed about what Obama said?

Obama was talking about roads, bridges, you know… the infrastructure that brings customers to your business…

I would not expect conservative to think logically or critically… Conservatives love to repeat the same lie over and over again hoping it turns magically into fact.

You can tell Benji wants to take the country back in time. He brings back 14 year old Clinton jokes.

    • Vigilant

Bringing back the country in time to an era of responsible spending, low taxation, work ethic and respect for the republican principles laid out by the Founders is PRECISELY what the country needs, NOT the bankrupt and historically failed socialist policies of the current regime.

      • annie1945

        Exactly!

      • eddie47d

The period after WWII was an era of very high taxation and America thrived. Employment went gang busters and workers were respected. Other countries actually bought FROM the USA when unions were strong and hard work meant something. Yes the ship of state was ran tighter but I don’t think that had much to do with the Republicans. It was the Republicans who 20-30 years later gave banks free reign and Wall Street a blank check. Now how are those failed policies working out for us? Now back in the days when our economy was humming the Republicans brought us the Joe McCarthy era along with Edgar Hoover spied on us citizens which was nothing more than a precursor for the Patriot Act. That was also brought to us courtesy of the Republicans. This is not in defense of Democrats but your ridiculous ASSumptions the the Republicans are doing us any favors.

Yes let’s go back to a time when the life expectancy was 45.
Let’s dump plumbing, communications, transportation, medical science, etc. Let’s eliminate the military, police, fire fighters, public education, and all buy flintlock muskets. How swell!!

      • Ted

Vig – I’m trying to figure out what what period you’re talking about. Are you talking about the end of WWII, when the national debt was larger the GNP? Maybe it was the Eisenhower administration when the top tax bracket was 91%? Or was it Eisenhower again when the federal government started the Interstate Highway System, which abridged the states’ right to control their roads? Or how about the NIxon administration which instituted the Wage and Price Controls (IMHO, the most socialist policy the government has tried)?

My guess is that you’ve overdosed on “Leave it Beaver” reruns. What a suggestive title!

      • Vigilant

Norm blathers, “Yes let’s go back to a time when the life expectancy was 45.
Let’s dump plumbing, communications, transportation, medical science, etc. Let’s eliminate the military, police, fire fighters, public education, and all buy flintlock muskets. How swell!!”

Normie, that argument is so shopworn and discredited that you need to get a revised list of talking points.

It has become de rigeur to suggest that Conservatives want to wipe out all technological progress. Absolute propaganda, and worse, you KNOW it’s a lie. If you’re so cocksure of this point, quote JUST ONE Conservative who has EVER said such.

Oddly, it was the system of private enterprise that created the advances you mentioned, at a time when government kept out of the private sector and minded its own business. It is the overarching government control NOW that stifles advances in those very things.

As for eliminating the military, police, and fire fighters, when and where have you heard Conservatives advocate such eradication? You are certifiable.

Once again, it was unconstitutional government interference in public so-called “education” that is ruining this nation by dribs and drabs. When properly left in the hands of the states, this nation was tops in the world for technological expertise.

      • Vigilant

        Same comment to you, Teddie.

Incidentally, wage and price controls were used by FDR in WWII as well as Truman during the Korean War. Indeed, your opinion is as humble as your lack of education.

      • eddie47d

My point was that Republicans principles aren’t always so principled Vigilant. I’m not buying their bed of roses or will I glaze over the harm they have caused. The Republicans have been excellent at taking away rights or denying them and have voted that way for for quite some time now.

My friends who have tech jobs, and computer jobs are in high demand! They have too many positions that cannot be filled! Small business, like Archies Acres, and green technologies are starting up, as well as tons of new small businesses who get tax breaks if they hire anyone. If I go to the mall, I see job position openings.
Look up the Dept of labor and statistics, and you’ll see that millions of jobs have been created and we are coming outta the dark ages. Your republican friends are so bold, they SAY they wanna take away funds for education, health health care for poor women (not abortion payments…women have always paid for their own abortions), privatize social security, and turn medicare into a voucher program. Are you kidding me? Do you know that this will send the poor, elderly, and mentally ill, out on the streets? Do you know these people are able to become productive citizens if they are only given a very very small amount to live on?
Where will many go? They will go to prisons for one. One prison inmate costs $30,000 or 40k a year tax payer money vs. maybe $1000 period, plus they start working if they are at all able to?
Why dont you and your friends ever consider CORPORATE WELFARE? Don’t free jets, cruises, ski lodge vacations for the major corporations ever bother you people?? This is tax payer money at work. 10 times or more, than welfare for the poor. There is NO trickle down….this theory is a crock, otherwise, we would have seen this, instead of the fall of 2008. WTF?

“Life” was mentioned first because all the other natural rights are subordinate to it. You would deny life, the most precious gift of all, in order to maintain your pursuit of happiness.

As for keeping the government out of your body, suggest you direct your selfish comments to those who would actually enter you body to do harm, i.e., the abortionists.

      • alicia

Your are not women, you know nothing about women, you are just a vaje je!. Meaning not a real man. There is only one man that can judge what a women does. He is God.
Women can make the right judgement about when they need an abortion, just as they can make choices of being prostitutes and drug users. That child you kept from being aborted today could be the next victim of the death row. Such hypocrites, if you believe in death row, how can you be pro-life?

      • JUKEBOX

Alicia is one of those people who fail to realize that pro choice is now a synonym for “PRO DEATH”. You see, that is the opposite of pro life.

      • Nadzieja Batki

alicia, I believe you are the one who is playing god and doing a bad job of it. So you determine which child should be aborted because they may end up on death row. So that child’s choice is taken away to be a decent human being or a vile human being.

      • Vigilant

Muddle-headed Alicia says, “There is only one man that can judge what a women does. He is God.”

God is a man? Not only is that false, it’s also inaccurate to say that God hasn’t judged. You fail to recall, conveniently, the text of the Sixth Commandment.

“Women can make the right judgement about when they need an abortion, just as they can make choices of being prostitutes and drug users.”

Rather inconsistent of you, I must say, after just commenting that only God can make that judgment, which he has.

“That child you kept from being aborted today could be the next victim of the death row.” Or the Messiah. Or a great doctor. Or a wise world leader. Care to go on?

“Such hypocrites, if you believe in death row, how can you be pro-life?”

Such hypocrites YOU are. If you believe in murdering the most innocent of all life, how can you justify sparing the life of a mass murderer?

      • Norm

How about those who would send you to fight political wars to enhance their personal wealth?
        Killing “innocents” suddenly doesn’t matter

      • eddie47d

Since Vigilant supports the Republicans so boldly he must approved of those vaginal tests on women. But that is not an intrusion ,right? Reminds me of the Mubarak regime who authorized any women arrested for any reason even protesting to be given a vaginal test by police.

      • Vigilant

Norm: unsupported and non sequitur. Try sticking to the subject, idiot.

There are those that say that legalized abortion has a direct correlation witht he drop in crime in the 80s and 90s.
        http://www.freakonomics.com/2005/05/15/abortion-and-crime-who-should-you-believe/

      • Karolyn

Some have shown a correlation between abortion and the droop in the crime rate after the 80s. If it were not for abortion, we would surely be overpopulated and in more trouble than we are already.

        (1) I have clarified that I support republican principles of government, and anyone who doesn’t is a traitor to the Constitution. I am NOT endorsing the GOP. Understand the difference.

        (2) “Vaginal tests on women?” What the Hell are you talking about?

      • Karolyn

Vigilant – The subject of abortion WAS brought up and there is absolutely no need for you to call me names. “I’m rubber; you’re glue. Anything you say bounces off me and sticks to you!”

        alicia says:
“Your are not women, you know nothing about women, you are just a vaje je!. Meaning not a real man.”

And upon what statement of Vigilant do you conclude that Vigilant is male?

alicia says: “There is only one man that can judge what a women does. He is God.”

Upon what evidence do you determine that God is limited to the sex of one of HIS creations?

alicia says: “Women can make the right judgement about when they need an abortion, just as they can make choices of being prostitutes and drug users.”

And how do we do that? Do you have a way to see when the soul and or spirit enters your child? I would like to learn that.

As to prostitution and drug use, it is YOUR government that is interfering with that. You did know that Democrats had full control of government for 2+ years right?

alicia says: “That child you kept from being aborted today could be the next victim of the death row. Such hypocrites, if you believe in death row, how can you be pro-life?”

Cause we believe in punishing the GUILTY for their crimes. Unlike you, who would put to death the most innocent among us for the crime of making YOUR life inconvenient for 9 months.

      • eddie47d

Just in case Vigilant and his dummy Jeff didn’t comprehend the Vaginal test. Its Republicans who advocated for that procedure most notably in Virginia.

      • Vigilant

Karolyn says, “There are those that say that legalized abortion has a direct correlation with the drop in crime in the 80s and 90s.”

First of all, the correlation is not proven. Secondly, if, for sake of argument, one would admit to a correlation, then what is the point?

The direction of such an argument is suspiciously close to Margaret Sanger’s racist position regarding eugenics, especially for black people. Do we also follow KQJM’s contention that resources are wasted on the elderly to keep them alive?

Liberals treat people as statistics and not as individuals who have Natural Law rights to life. Kill foetuses to reduce the crime rate? How ABSOLUTELY immoral is that? Get the oldsters out of the way early so younger folks can live in a nicer house? The insidious science of eugenics is alive and well in the leftist camp.

      • Vigilant

eddie says, “Just in case Vigilant and his dummy Jeff didn’t comprehend the Vaginal test. Its Republicans who advocated for that procedure most notably in Virginia.”

It is called “forced ultrasound” and I don’t agree with it, eddie. Get it through your head, for the umpteenth time, that when I advocate republican principles I’m NOT talking about the GOP.

Secondly, if the duly elected representatives in the state of Virginia wish to pass such a law, that is their business, just as it was the business of Massachusetts to pass Romneycare.

I don’t agree with either position, and I would never support such encroachments into individual freedoms at either state or federal level.

    • J. E.

Protect yes, but where in the constitution is the government duty to serve its people???

    • Jim S

President Obama is a bright and thoughtful man and compassionate…rare in todays world. Now I know why you go by Do not Respond. Obama is bright. Have you ever listened to him speak without a teleprompter? He is about as bright as Biden. Thoughtful? His only thought is how to make himself look better. Compassionate? He is a Narcissist. The only compassion he has is for himself. You might want to do some research on Narcissism. Anything they do is to make themselves look better. They blame everyone else for their failures and take credit for things others do. Gee, sounds just like Obie. And yes, I hold a license that qualifies me to make that diagnosis.

      • eddie47d

Enough of your silly teleprompter gags. I hate to inform you G Bush almost exclusively used a teleprompter but no one made a big deal about that. Bush hardly granted interviews or spoke in public as a President but when he did he always used a teleprompter and more so than Obama. President Obama mostly speaks without a teleprompter so please take that foot out of your mouth and get real.

      • seanpatrick3000

Jim, you dont need a college education to know that O’ is a compulsive liar and Narsicist it’s painfully self evident. Being related to one such person, I can spot them from a mile off yet most people are easily fooled by them. Lets hope enough people realize what O’ is before Nov. for the sake of the country. We need enough people to understand what he is to counter the high level of voter fraud that the Dem’s will be comitting in this election.

      • Eden

I agree, Jim, that Obama is bright, compassionate, sincere, and a PATRIOT. Also, for republicans reading….who cares if the leader of the free world has ever used a teleprompter?? What does that matter? If he does, maybe he wants to say things in a manner that people most easily understand. If someone gives a speech and gets one word off, it could change the meaning of what they are saying. Have you ever meant to say one thing, and it came out slightly off? The president does not have the luxury of being imperfect in his speeches. Especially, when there are so many just drooling at the opportunity to say, ‘GOTCHA’!

I think I would use a teleprompter if i was giving a speech the entire world could hear! LOL! its important to be clear and concise without correction if you are the leader of the free world.

“Your” government is doing a lousy of job of protecting innocent life if you count the millions of murderous on-demand abortions that have been performed.

P.S. I am neither Christian nor Muslim, nor am I a right wing fanatic.

      • Eden

Vigilante, A woman who is raped should have the right to abort. Did you know that it could take up to 72hrs for the ‘sailors to get on board the Mother ship’? Why not the day after pill? You really think its humane to tell a 14yr old girl whos just been raped, to carry the rapists child? are you crazy?

      • Vigilant

Eden, it’s difficult to determine just how your comment addresses anything I said.

Certainly you can’t, though so many of your ilk do, try to justify the mass murder of foetuses on the basis of the infinitesimally small number of abortions as a result of rape or incest.

I clearly used the term “on-demand” to mean what it generally means in usage, i.e., based on a whim, terminating a life because pregnancy ruins a woman’s looks, because they don’t feel ready for marriage, because it would impact their career, because it’s an inconvenience, etc.

Using the rape or incest argument is simply a smokescreen, and you know it.

P.S. It’s “Vigilant,” not “vigilante.” Buy a dictionary and learn the difference.

Spoken like a true fascist communist. You do not have the faintest idea what you are saying. That POS in the White House is nothing but a puppet and without a teleprompter he has no clue what to say. He is a thief, a communist and a Muslim (strange combination, but apparently possible nowadays); I also believe he is an illegal alien who committed the biggest scma in the history. He is destroying this country and he and that fat wife of his are living the grand life at the taxpayers’ expense. He has done NOTHING that is good for the country; and you ‘Do Not Respond’, if you don’t like this country without that flaming Muslim, get out of the country, go to any of those Muslim countries or Cuba, Anyone who does not like the USA as it was, better leave, no one is keeping you here and nobody wants you.

      • jhm47

I agree that the “One” is probably an illegal alien, and I’m fairly certain that he was not born in the USA. However, these facts are being ignored by nearly everyone who should be raising holy he!! about them. The thing is—since nobody (except Sheriff Joe, and a few others) will do anything about it, I have shifted my attention from his birthplace, to where he currently lives. HE MUST BE EVICTED IN JANUARY!!!!!!! And we must fumigate not only the White House, but the entire unholy regime he has created during his evil reign.

Choice simple, will we continue path to be another Socialist country or will be do our best to try some responsibility in government and return our folks to work and make a better life than government provides. I have a better idea! Let’s unseal his records and whereever he was born, we return to same! And, we erase everything that he did as president if he is NOT a U.S. citizen! If he is an American citizen (?), we blacklist him as the worst on record! I mean, really, he makes Carter look like a genius and Clinton look like a saint!

  • Norm

Wow, did you see Mitt Romney’s tax returns? No? Well, neither did America, since he continues to hide them, in spite of 40 years of precedent where presidential candidates released them.

What is he hiding? It’s getting downright weird. And to be honest, “trust me” doesn’t inspire confidence from a candidate who flip flops on a daily basis.

    • Ted Crawford

What you might want to notice here Norm is, that with the exception of you very few Progressive Partisans, most Americans aren’t the least bit interested in Romneys taxes, his wealth, nor where he choses to keep it! We are, however very, very concerned with our wealth(however modest) , and that of our Nation, both of which have suffered terribly under Obama’s flawed ideaologies!

  • whatmeworry

    I Agree!!!!

Under Paul Ryan’s plan, Mitt Romney wouldn’t pay any taxes for the next ten years — or any of the years after that. Now, do I know that that’s true. Yes, I’m certain.
Well, maybe not quite nothing. In 2010 — the only year we have seen a full return from him — Romney would have paid an effective tax rate of around 0.82 percent under the Ryan plan, rather than the 13.9 percent he actually did. How would someone with more than $21 million in

    • Norm

How would someone with more than a $21 million income get away with that?

      • eddie47d

That’s the Republican way. Hide and deceive and they think the Democrats are bad? Time to take two aspirin and vote Libertarian.

      • Ted Crawford

I don’t know Norm, perhaps we might ask Jeffery Immelt (Obamas American Jobs Czar) $14 Billion in income, while paying a total of ‘$0′ income taxes, he should know! By the way his qualifications for his “American Jobs Czar” position was he had just fired 25,000 Americans while at the same time hiring 15,000 in China!

        • Ladybug

He never mentioned that, huh? No complaints from that Muslim POS in teh White House about GE not paying any taxes at all, and GE invetsing billions of dollars in China, firing thousands of Americans and hiring Chinese in China. Someone should ask the POS about that? I cannot wait for the answer, but I will not hold my breath, that POS is not worth it.

      • KQJM

        Ted Crawford and Ladybug:

You *do* know that Jeffrey Immelt is lifelong Republican, right? So in an effort to INCLUDE Republicans in the decision making process, Obama appoints him to an advisory position and you BASH Obama for including one of your own?????

        * The REPUBLICAN Jeffrey Immelt, like Romney, made huge amounts of money and paid very few taxes.
*The REPUBLICAN Immelt accepted the Obama Administration appointment to better represent and perpetuate the Republican Model.
*The REPUBLICAN Jeffrey Immelt is reportedly very dissatisfied with his ability to convert Obama to REPUBLICAN ideology (you know, pay no taxes and move jobs offshore)
*Republican ideology is based on Ayn Rand’s “objectivism, individiualism, and ‘it’s all about me” philosophy. Justified selfishness and hedonism.

How do you turn IMMELT, who is one of your own, into Obama’s Albatross?

If you don’t bother to check your facts, then you are just repeating lies.

  • Norm

The Medicare plan in Ryan’s latest budget, which Romney says is “close to identical” to his own, has the details. In 10 years, Medicare would be remade into a subsidies system where seniors can buy insurance from a menu of private plans and a government option, with vouchers aimed at covering the cost of the cheapest two policies on the exchange.

That’s broadly similar to the core structure of Obamacare, under which the government sets up a regulated market exchange to ensure that plans cover a broad array of benefits. The law provides a subsidy to Americans who cannot afford insurance on their own.

Both plans also have mechanisms to compel people to participate: under Romney-Ryan, seniors are forced to pay Medicare taxes either way so they have no incentive not to use the voucher; under Obamacare, Americans either buy insurance or pay a tax penalty.

    • merid

Yoy are right; I received this e-mail yesterday, read it carefully and pass it along, this is very SCARY:
[Combat Evaluation Group] SENIORS – Now this is SCARY!!!

I am SO afraid that this JERK is going to be re-elected……
We can’t stand another 4 years of this

Forget about getting to age 75, this exact thing happened to me this
morning at Danbury hospital here in Ct. I was scheduled for a cardio-lite stress
test. This is a tread mill stress test where during the process they
inject nuclear dye into your blood stream and then put you in a CAT scan or
something similar and take a picture of your heart. If all is good the
heart shows up red, if there are blocked arteries anywhere that portion of
the heart shows up pink. I have had three of these tests in the past
twelve years due to blocked arteries discovered in 2000. They use the test to
determine if I need a roto router or a bypass operation.

So I arrive at the hospital at 8am this morning and I am in the process of
checking in at Cardiology and the lady says that my appointment has been
canceled. She makes a call and speaks with someone and hands me the
phone. It is a nurse in cardiology who says that my medical coverage denied the
procedure. I said it was routine, part of my heart maintenance process
and ordered by my PCP and with approval from my Cardiologist who is the head
of Danbury Cardiology which is right where I was standing. She goes, “yes
but we were denied our request”. So I say, I have Medicare so what is my
backup insurance doing denying anything. Then the bombshell, she says it was the
Medicare board that denied the procedure.

At that point, I turn to everyone behind me, and it was a long line, and I
say to them “well you won’t have to wait too long today because my stress
test procedure was just canceled by a Medicare Death Panel. I am only 67
so can you imagine what is going to happen when we really get old”. The
entire waiting room and everyone there from patients to staff just went
dead silent. So I turn to the front desk and tell them, ” I guess I will have
to write a letter to the editor of the Danbury News Times and call my
Senators and Congressman and let them know the Death Panels have already
        convened”. Then I walked out.

By the time I got home the message machine was blinking. My PCP had
already called and so did the hospital and guess what, Medicare decided to
approve my stress test procedure and if I could get back down to the hospital they
would fit me in right now for this 3 hour procedure. I told them I
couldn’t make it, that I was going fishing because I didn’t know how many more
fishing trips I could get in before I went into cardiac arrest but not to
worry about me costing the government any money because I am a 30%
disabled Army veteran, due to Agent Orange poisoning which is what caused this
heart problem to begin with, and I qualify to be buried for free in a plain pine
wrapper in the cheap graves section at any National Cemetery. I
certainly don’t want to cost our government any money so maybe we just
won’t do this procedure anymore and we can use the money to redistribute it to
all of the illegals to keep them alive so they can mow the lawns at the
        National Cemeteries.

So this Death Panel crap has started. If we don’t vote this guy and his
criminal cronies out of office this November then we will all die younger
than we should as broke paupers as the country goes bankrupt. Feel free
to distribute my note to anyone and make it a mission to not only make your
vote count but on behalf of all of us please make an effort to change the
thinking of anyone remotely willingly to get intellectually engaged in
this critical time in our country’s history.

        I have no words!!

        – SENIORS -

WELL ISN’T THIS SOME SPECIAL NEWS GRANDMA AND PAPA!!!

I had one of the most troubling, most disturbing conversations ever with
Dr. Suzanne Allen, head of emergency services at the Johnson City Medical
Center in Tennessee . We were discussing the “future” and I asked her had she
seen any affects of Obama Care in her work?

“Oh, yes. We are seeing cutbacks throughout the services we provide. For
example, we are now having to deal with patients who would normally
receive dialysis can no longer be accepted. In the past, there was always
automatic approval under Medicare for anyone who needed dialysis — not anymore.”
So, what will be their outcome? “They will die soon without dialysis,” she
        stated.

What about other services? She indicated as of 2013 (after the election),
no one over 75 will be given major medical procedures unless approved by
locally administered Ethics Panels. These Panels will determine whether a
patient receives medical treatment or not. While details on specific
operating procedures and schedules, Dr. Allen points out that most
life-threatening emergencies do not occur during normal hospital business
hours, and if there are emergencies that depend to be resolve within
minutes or just few hours, the likely hood of getting these Panels approval in
time to save a life are going to be very challenging and difficult, if not
        impossible she said.

This applies to major operations such as receiving stents, bypass surgery,
kidney operations, or treating for an aneurysm that would be normally
covered under Medicare today. In other words, if you needed a life-saving
operation, Medicare will not provide coverage anymore after 2013 if you
are 75 or over. When in 2013? “We haven’t been given a specific date — could
be in January or July….but it’s after the election.”

This is shocking to any of us who will be 75 this year. Her advice — get
healthy and stay healthy. We do not know the specifics of the actual
implementation of the full Obama Care policies and procedures — “they
haven’t filtered down to the local level yet. But we are already seeing
severe cuts in what we provide to the elderly — we refused dialysis to an
individual who was 78 just the other day….we refused to give stents to a
gentleman who was in his late 80s.” Every day, she said, we are seeing
these cutbacks aimed at reducing care across the board for anyone who is over
        75.

We can only hope that Obama Care will be overturned by the Supreme
Court — otherwise, this is a death sentence to those who are over 75….perhaps
you should pass this on to your friends who are thinking of voting for Obama
this year. Regardless if you have private health care coverage now (I have Aetna
Medicare Part B) — it will no longer apply after 2013 if the Ethics
Panels disapprove of a procedure that may save your life.

Scary, scary, scary. Think about this? You? Your parents?
Your loved ones? Didn’t know about it? Of course, not. As Nancy Pelosi said….”well, if
you want to know what’s in the bill, you’ll have to read it…..” After it was
passed. This is a graphic reminder of the need to stay healthy. Get your plot now
at Forest Lawn….while they last. Is this a death sentence to those of us
        who will reach 75?…..Yes!

Please do pass this along to those in your address book.

I live in Connecticut also, and have had the same test with no problems.
I have Medicare and a supplement from a previous employer. I am very happy with how things are. Thanks to Obamacare, yearly medical exams require no co-pays, and for those that use the drug plan (part d) the “donut hole” is being eliminated.
Romney’s plan will only help the rich Insurance companies get fatter and richer.

      • eddie47d

The only ones being “thrown under the bus” are the folks dropped from health care coverage courtesy of the Republicans and private health care providers. . Was that number 45 million or 54 million. Heck what’s a few million!

      • Karolyn

Ladybug – Is this an email from someone you personally know who went through this? Otherwise it could just be more propaganda. What we receive via email should be taken with a grain of salt. Also, “Her advice — get healthy and stay healthy.” is they way it should be anyway. If people took better care of their bodies, there would be far less illness, and we wouldn’t have such serious healthcare issues in this country.

        • Ladybug

Yes, I know this person and I know this to be true also. And this person is not the only one, I know many more who were denied care that was supposed to be included in their insurance, for which they paid, Medicare. They are too old now to get work and pay for private insurance which is waaaaay too expensive. It is a huge scam in my opinion. All the money people pay for insurance and then some bureaucrat gets to decide whether you can receive that care or not. This infuriates me. The same happened in the 90′s in Europe, I paid for the universal healthcare, which was taken straight from my salary every months but because I had a high income I was not allowed to use it and had to buy private healthcare insurance for me and my 2 kids which was even more expensive, I could not NOT take it because it was mandatory (I hate that word) (in my book that is STEALING from people) and when we needed to use the insurance 1 time they denied it, some idiot behind a desk just denied us the care, so I paid out of pocket and told them some 4 things with choice words (I went there in person), they were too astounded that someone would even think of questioning them and tell them what one thinks of them that they never said a word, the imbeciles; no one there ever dares say anything against them, most are like sheep, not me, I am like a tiger and no one messes with me.

Q: Did an emergency-room physician in a Tennessee hospital say the new health care law is currently denying dialysis to some Medicare patients, and will deny care to those over 75 in 2013?
A: No. A spokesman for the hospital says the doctor never said the things attributed to her in a chain email, and they are not true. A guest in the doctor’s home fabricated the account
Ed Herbert, a representative for the Johnson City Medical Center confirmed that the conversation quoted in an email is fraudulent. According to Herbert, a guest of Dr. Allen’s home created the untrue email to further a political point.

President Obama pushed back Republican accusations that he “raided” Medicare to fund his signature legislative achievement, the Affordable Care Act, and accused Mitt Romney of “overheated rhetoric at election time.”
“We gave seniors deeper discounts on prescription drugs, and made sure preventive care like mammograms are free without a co-pay,” Obama said in his weekly White House address. “We’ve extended the life of Medicare by almost a decade and I’ve proposed reforms that will save Medicare money by getting rid of wasteful spending in the healthcare system and reining in insurance companies – reforms that won’t touch your guaranteed Medicare benefits. Not by a single dime.”

      • Ladybug

Anytime the lips of that POS move, he is lying. He does not know what the truth is.

  • Carol J

Hmmm. Wonder what the difference was. I had my stress test done and the info sent to Medicare. They disapproved 80% of the cost and then paid only 20% of what they approved. The test was done in my cardiologists office which cost about 1/10th of what it would have cost at the hospital. Medicare takes $99 a month from my $891 a month SS. Last year Medicare paid out a total of $49 on my medical claims. They pay nothing to my primary care doctor. After having to pay fully for my last 3 visits, I haven’t been to him in 4 years. So far I’ve been lucky, but with a stent and a cholesterol problem I have to have checkups from my cardiologist. Norm, you’re lucky you have supplemental. I don’t Previous employer reneged on setup and cancelled ins. when I reached 65. Supplemental was up to $190 a month and prescription coverage was up to $88 a month, and that doesn’t include the co-pays. Had to drop it because I couldn’t pay my monthly utilities and insurance too. I’m just lucky I own my home with no mortgage. Thousands of others aren’t that lucky.

    • Norm

      Carol J
      Mine paid the full 80%.
Remember is an annual deductible of $162.

    • Karolyn

Carol – Is SS your only income? I only receive $723 per month and have just qualified to have the state of SC pay for my Medicare Part B. Of course, this is only temporary; my job just ended in June; and I do have a part time job on the horizon. Of course, I do live alone. However, to me it’s a moot point because I am in excellent health and intend to continue to research and do my utmost to keep my health that way.

  • http://na Mike in NE

Norm, what makes you think your propaganda will have any effect on this board, other than the few that are swallowing the same crap the MSM puts out like you?

    • Norm

      Mike
Unlike you, some people like to hear both sides of any issue.

    • eddie47d

You are partially right Norm. Sadly most only want to hear one side and they are adamant about that!

    • Vicki

Those of us who actually do want to hear several sides of an issue also want cites to backup the claims of the writers. Something that conservatives are very good at providing and liberals not so much.

  • KQJM

Comment (not mine) posted on another site, but I found it more informative by providing actual information, not personal opinion.

Mitt Romney was governor of Massachusetts from 2002 through 2006. So Massachuesettians are in a good position to judge his capabilities. This is what they think :

    1. OBAMA HAS HUGE LEAD IN MASS. Romney Trails Obama by 25% in polls of Mass Voters.

    2. LOWEST APPROVAL IN MASS. HISTORY. Massachusetts had elected three Republicans Governors before Romney. All of those Republican Governors left office with high approval ratings

When Romney left office, he had the lowest approval rating in state history 34%.

Why did the voters sour on Romney so quickly? Look at his record:

    3. JOB CREATION FELL. Job creation fell from 37th to 47th during Romney’s term.

    1998-2002 = 37th
    2002-2006 = 47th

A drop of 10 places in four years.

During his 4 year term, Romney only increased the number of jobs by 1% compared to 5% for the nation

    4. THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE WORKING DECLINED. Between 2002-2006, the number of people working in Mass declined by 8,500, the only state to lose jobs. The rest of the country added 8 million jobs.

    5. LOST MANUFACTURING JOBS. Romney lost 14% of the manufacturing jobs in the state, including 40,000 high paying manufacturing jobs.

    6. PEOPLE LEFT MASS TO FIND WORK ELSEWHERE. A net 222,000 people moved out of Mass to seek employment else where, a loss of 3.5% of the work force.

Romney brags that unemployment dropped, but that’s because the unemployed had moved out of the state.

    7. WAGES DROPPED. Between 2002-2004, wages dropped 5%. Between 2002-2006, the median wage fell by $10 or 2%.

    8. SHIPPED STATE JOBS OVERSEAS. Romney vetoed legislation that would have prohibited sending State jobs overseas and bared state contractors from sending jobs overseas. He even sent State Call Center Jobs overseas.

    9. INCREASED DEBT. Romney had the largest increase in debt of any Governor in the country, increasing by more than $2.6 billion. He even borrowed money to pay for ordinary operating costs such as highway repair and maintenence.

    10. INCREASED GOVERNMENT COST FALL ON MIDDLE CLASS. Romney cuts taxes for the wealthy, while increasing hundreds of fees that fall mainly on the middle class. Romney increased the fees on services more than the cost of those services and then transfered the money to other account to pay for his pet projects, all so he could say he didn’t raise taxes

Having had only 12 years of public school, 4 years of college with CPA, and 3 years of law school and licensed, I was going to write a scathing attack on liberals and the unbelievable harm they have done to this country but I find I am unable to put into words the extent to which I loathe them and how wrong they are on everything they stand for.

    • Norm

.I guess they forget to teach you to write. But then who deals in facts?

I have BS and MS degrees in electrical and computer engineering as long as we’re
      “name” dropping.
I am also a chagrined registered Republican

      • BobRobertson

Well, gee, Norm they did teach me to write and to spell otherwise I could not have made the statement. They also left me with the idea that merely stating my credentials, not using some sort of association real or imagined social connection was not name dropping. They also taught me not to start sentences or paragraphs with a period, smartass.

      • Vigilant

Norm, if you want to see a commie or nazi, just look in the mirror. And, get a little book larnin’ to understand that there’s very little difference between the two.

I seek return to Constitutional principles, maximum individual freedom and government out of out business. If you call that communism or naziism, then you’re in dire need of a functioning brain.

    • KQJM

Bob Robertson: When you can’t argue the issue, attack the person. That’s the entire strategy of the right.

I consider myself independent, have friends on the “right” who I dearly love, friends on the “left” who I dearly love. Probably the greatest intellectual conservative of this era was William F. Buckley Jr., who considered Ayn Rand’s philosophy (on whom Ryan builds his ideology) as “absent of any goodness”. Here’s what greatest liberal intellectual of our time, Noam Chomsky, describes her as “evil”. Chuck Colsen, conservative evangelical leader, warns fellow conservatives that her philosophy is anti-Christian. Catholic Nuns and priests denounce Ryan’s budget as not representing Christian doctrine…(
      http://www.networklobby.org/news-media/press-release-network-reacts-Romney-Ryan-ticket )

For the record, I too have an education. I graduated Magna Cum Laude. And I CAN provide (and have in these posts) FACTUAL data for positions I hold abhorring their current platform. That you can’t do the same means you really don’t know, you just have to have someone to hate.

      • BobRobertson

I’m sorry, KQJM, if you thought I was attacking Norm, the person. I wasn’t. Simply wanted to make known my feelings about liberals, in general, and found I was insufficient to the task. I am glad you have an education and that you graduated magna cum laude.

    • eddie47d

First read KQJM’s comment above you which has been brought up before and would prove Romney is a liar. His political ads tell a different story so Bob Robertson before taking on the Liberals get back to us on Romney’s legacy. Maybe Conservatives don’t always take the high road in getting themselves elected? KQJM didn’t even bring up the other side of Romney and his past. There is plenty to loath about on the Conservative side also but I think I’ll skip it for now. Some of you are so busy digging into Obama’s past that it must get a little overwhelming to take a peek into Romney’s.

    • Ted Crawford

Bob. any of who frequent this site are well aware of ole Norm. We know he is a “registered Republican”, we also are well aware that the Pope is really a Babtist!

You think people should pass along an undocumented scare tactic? Read some REAL legitimate news, not chain email letters. I quick google search and that email shows up on SNOPES (http://www.snopes.com/politics/medical/over75.asp) as FALSE.

You need to check out nonpartisan sources like this: http://healthcarereform.procon.org/

Romney / Ryan subscribe to the atheist Ayn Rand philosophy that SELF is all that matters, no one else. Ryan credits HER with informing his entire philosophy.

Really, the entire Republican Platform is based on the mantra “tell a lie often enough, and people will believe it’s the truth”. They rely on your gullibility, fear, and ignorance in swallowing undocumented, false, information, known as PROPOGANDA.

For profit HEALTH insurance is not interested in treating ANY sick people, get it? They want the SICK off their roll call…. the SICK drain their profits! They recruit large numbers of individuals who singular role is to find reasons to DENY claims.

You are a fool if you think Romney/Ryan cares about your welfare…. Romney actually went so far as to state he “doesn’t care about the poor”. That’s the majority of retirees, for to Romneyites, anyone making less then $50-60 million a year is “poor” and not in their class. GET IT???

  • Norm

“I can’t speak to Governor Romney’s motivations,” Obama said. “What I can say is that he has signed up for positions, extreme positions, that are very consistent with positions that a number of House Republicans have taken. And whether he actually believes in those or not, I have no doubt that he would carry forward some of the things that he’s talked about.”
President Barack Obama said Mitt Romney has locked himself into “extreme positions” on economic and social issues and would surely impose them if elected, trying to discredit his Republican rival at the biggest political moment of his life.
In an interview with The Associated Press, Obama said Romney lacks serious ideas, refuses to “own up” to the responsibilities of what it takes to be president, and deals in factually dishonest arguments that could soon haunt him in face-to-face debates.

Blacks voted 95% for Obama….this is another version of the “Stockholm” syndrome that explains why in some cases the kidnapped become friends with the kidnapper.Obama has done absolutely nothing for blacks and never will. Its so sad that the first black President had to be this narcissistic communist instead of a genuine leader who loves this country and could bring all of our people together for the common good

    • KQJM

Why do people call him “black”? He had ONE black parent, ONE white parent. That makes him “mixed race”.

      • BobRobertson

Duhhh…I have an education and a magna cum laude but I can’t understand why someone of mixed parents who says he distanced himself from his whiteness and embraced his blackness, and who calls himself black and who ran for POTUS as a black would be called black by other people. Can some of you lesser educated mortals of the great unwashed please try to explain it to me?

        • Ladybug

THose dimwits cannot explain it, they are too dumb. It is because he is a racist! he is not an American, he does not speak like an American, he does not have American values, or American customs, he hates America and he wants to sink America for the glory of the retards, the Muslims who live in the 14th century. He is a Muslim and a very arrogant one at that, look at the way he holds his head and the clipped way of his speech, there are words he cannt pronounce correctly. He is an absolute racist!

      • KQJM

Ladybug. I wasn’t asking how he “self-identified”. And of those I know of mixed race, many feel forced into identifying with one over another by society, not because they are racist, but because the arena in which they navigate is racist and either reject or accept them more readily, based on physical characteristics.

What is it to “think like an American, talk like an American?” Gotta admit, you really got me on that one. I know lots of Americans that descend from the Chinese, Italian, Polish, Jewish, Muslim, Latino, Spanish, and Native American Indian “tribes”….. so please, tell me what “your” American looks like, cuz it sure as hell don’t look like mine!

      • KQJM

Bob: Again, you show your colors. Instead of answering the question, and considering the merits of the question, you choose to ridicule and mock the person who poses the question. He is of mixed parentage. I did not ask how he self-identfies, I asked why others identify him as black, instead of using the more accurate term “mixed race”.

Where I prefer clarity and accuracy in discussions, you opt for sarcasm and gutter tactics. All I hear in your response is “because I think about it the way others have framed the issue for me. I’m a follower of other people’s assessments. If you were as smart as you say you were, you would already know that without asking”.

Just seeking confirmation of your cognitive style. Got it…. you’re a Follower.

    • Norm

      Roderick Crews
Unfortunately many whites, especially in the South and Bible Belt, voted against him because he is “black”.

You can’t possibly believe this idiot socialist will do anything other than sink America! Everything he’s done up to now has been absurdly amateurish and incompetent! How can you ignor the idiocy of the “man”. And there is absolutely NO way for you to know the motives of ANY voter. That this moron won at all belies your absurd gibberish about bigotry. Read any History? Find out who wrote the Jim crow laws, blocked black students at southern schools, fillabustered to prevent civil rights from passing, started the Civil War, and wants to keep the poor uneducated, helpless blacks on the (democrat controlled) public charity and OUT of mainstream society. See whose elected Federal representation were members of, and in some cases Leaders of, the KKK. The democrats have done less for ANY minority than Hitler would have. (although some of those southern democrat KKK folks did try hard!) Why the hell is there no IQ test for voters?

I will not be voting for a single GOP nominee during this election cycle…period. The RNC has insured another 4 years of Democrat rule…House,Senate and POTUS….Thank you GOP/RNC for showing us what you’re made of…l;ying, cheating and compete disregard and contempt for the rules and the people in you own party. They want to criminalize abortion (what penalty for violating it has not been discussed….. life imprisonment for illegal abortion? Swell the already busting at the seems prison system?) If you criminalize an action, there must be a penalty associated with… so what’s the proposal?

Here, I have one for you….. each male gets to freeze “x” amount of sperm for future use. He then has a vasectomy. The only way he can impregnate a woman is by GETTING HIS SPERM RELEASED from the sperm bank and having his female partner artificially inseminated.

There you go folks. No more abortions. No more unplanned pregnancies. And you don’t even need Planned Parenthood to accomplish it.. All you need is a pair of scissors and for every male to drop his drawers is the doctors office. Problem solved. :)

      • Average Joe

        KQJM,

I have a much simpler solution to your dilemma…keep your damn drawers up…until you want children..no surgery involed….just a bit of moral fortitude. If you can’t do that, then take responsibility for your actions (both parties involved)… problem solved….pretty simple huh?

        Best Wishes,

According to the Center for Disease Control, 99 percent of American women use birth control during their reproductive lifetime. According to a Reuters report on a Guttmacher Institute study, 98 percent of sexually active Catholic women use some form of birth control banned by the church. And a NPR/Thompson Reuters poll found that 77 percent of Americans favor insurance coverage for the birth control pill.

Meanwhile all the Republican candidates are actively campaigning against Title X and family planning funding. A plank in the Republican platform upholds the “life begins at conception” foundation of “personhood”, which would ban the most commonly-used forms of contraception such as the Pill and IUDs. Mitt Romney has repeatedly embraced “personhood”.

Rick Santorum pledged to repeal all federal funding for contraception, during a recent interview with CaffeinatedThoughts.com editor Shane Vander Hart, arguing that birth control devalues the act of procreation. “One of the things I will talk about, that no president has talked about before, is I think the dangers of contraception in this country. It’s not okay. It’s a license to do things in a sexual realm that is counter to how things are supposed to be”
The tell on Ryan’s extremism is his opposition to abortion even in cases of rape, incest, or threat to the life of the mother. He was a co-sponsor of a federal fetal Personhood bill defining life as beginning at fertilization, which would have made some forms of birth control and in vitro fertilization illegal. He supported a bill that would have allowed hospitals to deny emergency care to pregnant women.

Romney and Ryan want to eliminate federal Title X funding, which supports the operation of clinics providing family planning services to low-income women in the U.S. Ryan has consistently cast votes in the House against international family planning programs, voted to eliminated Title X and has voted to defund Planned Parenthood.

      • Average Joe

        Norm,

Let’s see if I can simplify this …just for you. Individuals are free to use contraceptives if they choose to do so…as long as they buy those contraceptive with thier own money. Governments are not however, free to force any group of people…. to buy those contraceptives for them. If the Church is against birth control, then it is illegal to require that the church ( or anyone else) provide to others…. that which they do not condone.
In other words…buy your own contraceptive…and STHU…..If you can’t afford to spend a few bucks a month on contraceptives…then maybe you can’t affrd to have children…and shouldn’t be engaging in activities that may accidently….produce a child in the first place….
Stupid people…doing stupid things….produce more stupid people. ( now you know how we got so many of you stupid liberals…..you keep breeding……).

Bullsh*t. The plank says NOTHING about birth control, nor does it seek to ban such. If you want to read the actual text of the plank, go to http://caffeinatedthoughts.com/2012/08/text-of-the-gop-proposed-2012-pro-life-platform-released/

Norm, you failed to cite any reference in answer to my challenge. Face it head on, instead of providing irrelevant information, or, as I said, STFU!

    • KQJM

Ryan’s position stems from his “fetal personhood” bill, (not passed), in which he sought to declare personhood at the moment of conception. As I said, fertility clinics store embryos, I.U.D. do not prevent conception. They prevent an embryo from implanting in the uterine wall.

Ryan and Akin also cosponsored a federal personhood bill, the Sanctity of Human Life Act of 2009, which declares that a fertilized egg is entitled to the exact same legal rights as a human being:
      (1) the Congress declares that–
      (A) the right to life guaranteed by the Constitution is vested in each human being, and is the paramount and most fundamental right of a person; and
      (B) the life of each human being begins with fertilization, cloning, or its functional equivalent, irrespective of sex, health, function or disability, defect, stage of biological development, or condition of dependency, at which time every human being shall have all the legal and constitutional attributes and privileges of personhood

So, while they cut medical, educational, and food for the poor, they simultaneously demand that every and any pregnancy, be it by irresponsibility or rape, be brought full term by the poor, for make no mistake about it, the well off will be able to continue with abortion on demand.

The question of personhood and when life begins (or ends) is a function of differing religious views, and lifestyle views. We do not want to “interfere” in the developing embryo’s life, yet we demand interference in the dying elderly’s life, putting 90 year olds on life support when they should be in hospice care, providing unnecessary surgeries, eating up valuable resources we then deny to the newly borne.

    • Dave67

Conservatives hate sex-ed in schools because they say it promotes promiscuity.
The GOP platform says ZERO abortions even in the case of rape and incest.

So under the GOP platform, they would force a woman to take a baby from a rapist to term, say the rapist was caught, did his time in jail, the rapist has parental rights in GOP looneyland when he gets out of jail.

      http://civildiscoursenow.com/profiles/blogs/ryan-plan-rapist-could-get-visitation-then-custody-support-and-se

The GOP are so neanderthalian in their social polices….

They have no conservative logic answer why abortion and out of wed-lock births happen less in “socialist” Europe than they do here.

      http://www.advocatesforyouth.org/publications/publications-a-z/419-adolescent-sexual-health-in-europe-and-the-us

Now lets put it in terms of money because conservatives understand that… It costs less to educate and supply women with BS than it does to take care of a child, especially an unwanted child.

More GOP/Conservative nuttiness… We have out nonsensical puritanical heritage to blame for our ignorance when itg comes to sexual matters.

      • Dave67

BC not BS for women is what I meant.

BS is what I hear from Conservatives and the GOP mostly.

I always thought it was creepy the way Obama has repeatedly referred to the likelihood of his being a one-term President. It is as if he knew, even as he campaigned in 2008, that all the loose ends and unanswered questions about his life would eventually disqualify him.

It is now widely acknowledged that the mainstream media ran interference for him, ignoring or disparaging those who questioned his eligibility. After almost four years in office, however, his arrogance and incompetence is so manifest that even they can no longer cover for him.

Obama was never eligible to run for the office. In his book, “Where’s the Birth Certificate? The Case that Barack Obama is Not Eligible to be President”, Dr. Jerome R. Corsi, Phd, devotes 387 pages, complete with appendices and endnotes, to irrefutably make that
    case.

Anyone who reads Article 2, Section 1, of the Constitution, however, can make that case in less than a minute. Only a “natural born” individual whose both parents were American citizens can be President. Obama’s father was a citizen of Kenya. There is no dispute regarding what the Founders meant when they said “natural born.” Further clouding Obama’s eligibility is the time he spent in his youth in Indonesia as the adopted son of that nation’s nationality.

The polling data is all against him. The failure of his policies, combined with the massive increase in the national debt, rising unemployment, the implosion of the housing market, and a growing perception of incompetence, are coalescing to give weight to the demand that he end his candidacy or resign.

“History has not been kind to U.S. Presidents that have attempted to hide behind a lie,” says Corsi.

When republics begin to ignore their founding documents, they are literally committing suicide and, in Obama’s case, it is an assisted suicide.

Lawrence Sellin, the author of the Canada Free Press article cited above, warned “Whether through cowardice or arrogance, both Republican and Democrats fail to appreciate the fact that ordinary Americans are reaching a tipping point. Imagine a Tea Party on steroids.”

“If the Constitutional crisis is not soon addressed, the present political polarization will inevitably lead to political fragmentation. Erosion of the Constitution will inevitably lead to the collapse of the rule of law.”

There is no documentation to support the myths about his life that Obama has carefully devised. Indeed, the President has reportedly spent millions to deny public access to his birth certificate and all other records.

If he resigns, he may be able to assert the legitimacy of every piece of legislation, every executive order, signed into law, but if he is found to have been ineligible, every one of them would become null and void.

The nation can be put right again as a Constitutional Republic. Obama has led an unlawful regime. America has been drunk on socialism since the 1930s. It’s time to sober up.

Kick the IMPOSTOR to the curb!!!

    Current Citizenship laws here:
    http://www.visalaw.com/05jan1/2jan105.html

Only one parent has to be a natural born citizen.

The constitution sets up a process by which laws are made.
It is the PROCESS, not the laws themselves, that the founders sought to preserve.
They recognized that society changes, and in anticipation of that, set the ground rules for how LAWS can be changed and modified to accommodate that.

    • http://www.facebook.com/george.gallo.71 George Gallo

But the “laws” that seek to countermand or operate outside of Constitutional stricture cannot be acceptable unless they are presented as amendments to it. and then approved by the rigorous process outlined within the Constitution.

  • BobRobertson

Having been assessed as a follower by KQJM, which I am sure Eddie and Norm agreed to, it is only fitting that I “follow” with this explanation. I didn’t comment in order to debate, with or without facts to prove my position, for or against Romney, for or against Obama. I began reading all the comments to this article, and I read and I read. After reading the rediculousness, hatred and bile from the liberal side, it was then I decided to post my feelings about loathing liberals. I didn’t evade or sidestep any questions. I didn’t post to answer any questions or criticize any answers. I posted because I did not like the tone, condescencion, and acidity of the liberals and my loathesomness for them. And so I did, with one small deviation. That deviation was KQJM’s question as to why people call Obama black. Sorry, guys, you missed the points of my postings; I didn’t engage in the points of yours.

    • KQJM

Hatred and bile from the liberal side? Let me quote for you some of the adjectives used in just a few of the “non-liberal” comments, and please feel free to pick apart the liberal comments which utilize the same/similar “hatred and bile”.

Ladybug: dimwits, dumb, too racist, retard, stunning ignorance, dingbats, shut-up

Nazeidja: Don’t waste your time arguing with O groupies. At the moment they are all in HEAT.

Vigilante: Judging from her name, I’m guessing she’s also one of the 95% of voted for him because he’s black.

And there is this from Georgia:

MINDLESS SHEEP …TOO STUPID AND LAZY TO WORK, ….THEY STEAL FROM THE GOVERNMENT AND STAY PREGNANT WITH MORE BABY MORONS DROPPING OUT OF THEIR BODIES EVERY NINE MONTHS……DEMOCRATS/LIBERALS ARE THE TRASH OF THE EARTH–AND THE TRASH DOESN’T FALL FAR FROM THE CAN IN THE WHITE HOUSE. THEY REPULSE THE REST OF THE TAXPAYERS AND ARE AN EMBARRASSMENT TO AMERICA. THE RACIST, HYPOCRITIC, PARASITES NEED TO BE ERADICATED FROM THIS GREAT COUNTRY. NOVEMBER 6TH CAN’T GET HERE SOON ENOUGH.

Sorry Bob…. I don’t see such invective in other posts…. so please, feel free to point out my blind spots, and illustrate for me the same quantity of pejorative terms coming from the liberal (or undeclared) side, which, you say, prompted you to join ranks with the likes above.

And as an *educated* man, I’m sure you can appreciate that while stereotypes are expedient, they are seldom accurate. Not *ALL* polish and blondes are dumb, not *ALL* Italians are good lovers, not *ALL* rich are evading taxes (Buffet?), not *ALL* liberals are the scum of the earth to be loathed and hated.

Those hated and loathed liberals are American citizens, just like you, who hold different OPINIONS, just like you. If you buy into the dogmatic, pejorative discourse by your conservative camp, but condemn it in the “liberal” camp, what does that say about you?

      • Karolyn

KQJM – Glad you took the time to point out those posts, and there are quite a few more than that (even one telling somebody that they’re ugly!). I can never understand how the conservative posters constantly accuse the liberals of ad hominem attacks, which they never see in themselve and their fellows..

      • http://gravatar.com/bychoosing Jay

KQJM, don’t be such a whining, drama-queen. The mud-slinging is done by both sides. More often then not, the first shots are fired by the left. I could post some comments that reveal the vitriol by the left, but i think most are already aware as to who starts the wars. I couldn’t help but notice that the comments you posted were not the least bit selective…no, not at all! Lol…

      • KQJM

Jay: Thank you. I’ll add “whining drama queen” to the list of hatred and bile. Disparage the person….. don’t look at the data.

And my list is neither selective nor exhaustive. I just chose the ones prior to the post I was addressing. It was THOSE posts that were cited as compelling enough in their animosity and hatred to provoke a response from BobRobertson. Sorry, but a side by side comparison does not reveal the “loathsome liberals” to be filled with hate and bile. if anything, the reverse seems to be more easily demonstrated.

You can’t just tell me I’m wrong.
You have to show me the specific examples that lead you to the conclusion I am wrong.
        And you haven’t done that.

      • Vigilant

KQJM uses as an example of hatred the following: “Vigilante: Judging from her name, I’m guessing she’s also one of the 95% [who] voted for him because he’s black.”

Animosity? Hatred? Bile? Where the Hell do you get off calling that statement such?

Political correctness, the tyranny of the left, chooses to label comments as racist or hate-filled that are clearly not. The purpose of that particular brand of PC seeks to stifle discourse through the race card ploy, whether warranted or not. Hint: it’s been overused and doesn’t work any more.

Based on the name “Tamara,” I speculated, i.e., made an educated guess, that she is black. Is that racist? Does that demonstrate hatred or animosity? Only in your mind. Tamara is free to come on here and counter that speculation if she wishes.

Relative to the 95% comment, do you deny that blacks voted in record numbers to elect Obama just because he is black? How does that empirical statement demonstrate animosity, hatred or bile? Explain yourself, leftie.

  • KQJM

Irrefutable? You believe the conservative Supreme Court justice is behind letting Obama stand if they could disqualify him? Irrefutable? Did you read the reviews of that book? Factual errors like the Kenyan birth certificate???? Kenya wasn’t even a country when Obama was born, so a “kenyan” birth certificate is IMPOSSIBLE. And the registration number “used” was traced back to a living Australian?

    • http://gravatar.com/bychoosing Jay

KQJM says: Kenya wasn’t even a country when Obama was born, so a “kenyan” birth certificate is IMPOSSIBLE.

Really? So anyone born in 1961 in and prior to 1957 in kenya do not posses a birth certificate? Are you completely daft?

Kenya began it’s independence in 1957 and the first president of the Kenya African National Union political party was elected in 1960.

In 1957 African members were elected to the Legislative Council through a direct election.

1959 saw the release of Kenyatta from detention in Kapenguria. Kenyatta continued with campaign for freedom while under house arrest.

In 1960, the colonial government announced plans to transfer power to a democratically elected government.

In 1962, the Lancaster constitution conference was held in London where the 1st Kenya constitution was made.

Kenya achieved internal self-government on June 1st 1963. Kenya was declared a republic on December 12th 1963 with Jomo Kenyatta as 1st the president.

Testimony from a Mombasa science teacher and the Mombasa Registrar of births that Obama’s birth certificate from Mombasa is genuine. A copy of President Obama’s birth certificate that Lucas Smith obtained through the help of a Kenyan Colonel directly from the Coast General Hospital in Mombasa, Kenya.

“On August 4, 1961 Obama’s mother, father and grandmother were attending a Muslim festival in Mombassa, Kenya. Mother had been refused entry to airplanes due to her 9 month pregnancy. It was a hot August day at the festival so the Obama’s went to the beach to cool off. While swimming in the ocean his mother experienced labor pains so was rushed to the Coast Provincial General Hospital, Mombasa, Kenya where Obama was born a few hours later at 7:21 pm on August 4, 1961. Four days later his mother flew to Hawaii and registered his birth in Honolulu as a certificate of live birth which omitted the place and hospital of birth.”

The local Imam in Mombasa named Barack with his middle name Hussein so his official name on his certificate of live birth is Barack Hussein Obama, II.

Letter from Kitau in Mombasa, Kenya:

I happen to be Kenyan. I was born 1 month before Obama at Mombasa medical center. I am a teacher here at the MM Shaw Primary School in Kenya. I compared my birth certificate to the one that has been put on by Taitz and mine is exactly the same.
I even have the same registrar and format. The type is identical.

I am by nature a skeptical person. I teach science here and challenge most things that cannot be proven.

So I went to an official registrar today and pulled up the picture on the web. They magnified it and determined it to be authentic. There is even a plaque with Registrar Lavenders name on it as he was a Brit and was in charge of the Registrar office from 1959 until January of 1964.

The reason the date on the certificate says republic of Kenya is that we were a republic when the “copy” of the original was ordered. I stress the word “copy”. My copy also has republic of Kenya.

So what you say is true about Kenya not being a republic at the time of Obama’s birth, however it was a republic when the copy was ordered.

The birth certificate is genuine. I assure you it will be authenticated by a forensic auditor. We are very proud Obama was born here.

We have a shrine for him and there are many people who remember his birth here as he had a white mother. They are being interviewed now by one of your media outlets.

Fortunately they even have pictures of his parents with him immediately after his birth at the Mombasa hospital with the hospital in the back ground.

It will be a proud day for us when it is proven that he was born here and a Kenyan became the most powerful man in the world.

I encourage anyone to come here and visit. I will be happy to take you and show you the pictures at the hospital myself as well as my document and many others that are identical to what Taitz posted.

      God Bless.

Barack Obama is not legally a U.S. natural-born citizen according to the law on the books at the time of his birth, which falls between “December 24, 1952 to November 13, 1986?

Presidential office requires a natural-born citizen if the child was not born to two U.S. citizen parents, which of course is what exempts John McCain though he was born in the Panama Canal. US Law very clearly stipulates: ” If only one parent was a U.S. citizen at the time of your birth, that parent must have resided in the United States for at least ten years, at least five of which had to be after the age of 16.” Barack Obama’s father was not a U.S. citizen and Obama’s mother was only 18 when Obama was born, which means though she had been a U.S. citizen for 10 years, (or citizen perhaps because of Hawai’i being a territory) the mother fails the test for being so for at least 5 years -prior to- Barack Obama’s birth, but *after* age 16. It doesn’t matter *after*.

In essence, she was not old enough to qualify her son for automatic U.S. citizenship. At most, there were only 2 years elapsed since his mother turned 16 at the time of Barack Obama’s birth when she was 18 in Hawai’i. His mother would have needed to have been 16+5= 21 years old, at the time of Barack Obama’s birth for him to have been a natural-born citizen. As aformentioned, she was a young college student at the time and was not. Barack Obama was already 3 years old at that time his mother would have needed to have waited to have him as the only U.S. Cizen parent. Obama instead should have been naturalized, but even then, that would still disqualify him from holding the office.

Naturalized citizens are ineligible to hold the office of President. And yes, you are daft!

Yes, one of us certainly is DAFT.

And in many ways, it doesn’t even matter anymore if a foreigner is President. Research in our universities are funded by private corporate, and largely foreign, interests. That means FOREIGNERS already own the intellectual property rights to whatever is developed, discovered in academic research facilities…. that includes technological discoveries as well as medical. China owns most of our currency, and what they don’t own is sitting in offshore accounts being stockpiled. Most of our manufacturing jobs are owned by countries on either side of the Atlantic and Pacific. So really, in practice, we are controlled and run by foreign interests. On the contrary, i do see magnitude. Which is why i focused on the birth certificate. What better illustration than the issue of O’s BC, and the fact that he should not be sitting in the white house, to confirm the veracity of your above statement. So we’re in agreement then; Obama is not, eligible, and all presidents are selected, not elected? Presidents are not really in any control whatsoever. The only reason they act like dictators is because they are given that right as long as they support the bankers and corporations that put them there. Presidents are never elected they are only selected.

To all the people who says to vote for Ron Paul you need to think about this before you vote. The election is between Romney and Obama. Anyone who votes for Ron Paul or don’t vote at all is voting for Obama. Look at it this way. No third party has ever won the election and will not win this time.If you vote for Ron Paul or you don’t vote that is less votes we get and that helps Obama. Just the same for Obama , if they wanted another Democrat and voted for him or didn’t vote at all , that is less votes for Obama and helps our side. Understand? So, if you don’t want Obama to win you need to vote for Romney to get Obama out of the white house. But if you don’t care if Obama the Muslim wins do what you want.. What you people need to care about is our country. I grew up in the 50′s it was wonderful back then , nothing like it is today.

A lot of the people on here says there is no differents between Romney and Obama, well that is not true, there is a huge differents . He does not want big government that tells you what to do, what you can eat and so on. Lets give him 4 years and our country will be back on track. People will be back to work , The pipeline will come through from Canada and gas will come down . He will improve our Medicade and Medicare. and Seniors we will get our raises every year like we are suppose to. Remember we did not get a raise the first three years he was in office , but we did this year because he was up for re-election. Romney is our only hope right now so, if you want your freedom and happiness and our country back please vote for Romney, he is our only chance. Think aboput it.

    AverageJoe says to me:
I have a much simpler solution to your dilemma…keep your damn drawers up…until you want children..no surgery involed….just a bit of moral fortitude. If you can’t do that, then take responsibility for your actions (both parties involved)… problem solved….pretty simple huh?

    Best Wishes,
    AJ

AJ…. ouch! It’s not my dilemma at all. I’m sterile.

With that said, to many men even the idea of a vasectomy is painful, and many acknowledge they would feel “emasculated” without the ability to impregnate. Impregnating a woman, whether she consents to it or not, is paramount to many men even feeling arousal. And many many many men use “my wife won’t have sex with me” as an excuse for infidelity…… so what’s a wife to do…. send her husband on the path to infidelity by refusing him?

Also, some people ENJOY sex for reasons other than wanting children. They generally use various forms of birth control, with varying degrees of success / failure.

Anyway, for those that don’t enjoy sex, well, my solution works 10 times better because you don’t even have to have it at all then. And in true Ayn Rand fashion, only MY desires should matter to me, not society’s, not anyone else’s at all. As she said, to put others first is to cannibalize the self. She’s Paul Ryan and the Right’s hero though, not mine.

    • Average Joe

      KQJM,
      You write:

“Here, I have one for you….. each male gets to freeze “x” amount of sperm for future use. He then has a vasectomy. The only way he can impregnate a woman is by GETTING HIS SPERM RELEASED from the sperm bank and having his female partner artificially inseminated.”

Who are you to make this decision for “each male”? Who decides what “X amount” is?
You seem to be advocating vasectomy as the solution…while I am advocating personal responsiblity as the solution. Your solution (while it may be painless) leaves a man sterile (on rare occasions it can be reversed) for life. What happens if later on he decides to have children and for whatever reason…the stored Sperm is no longer viable? This ends his personal bloodline.
Maybe I should have phrased my response differently…it was not directed at you personally…but rather the population in general. Abstinence works…lack of abstinence…can and does result in unwanted pregnancies and social diseases and that is a fact.

“the best laid plans of mice and men often go astray”

I simply point out that morality and personal responsiblity are the keys to avoid adverse reactions to a persons choices in life, whether sexual or otherwise. I do not choose to make decisions for others….I simply point out the obvious…there are consqences for our actions and that maybe we should spend more time exploring the pro’s and cons a bit more thoroughly… instead of acting on impulse. While it may feel good now…it may not feel so good later….

      Best Wishes,
      AJ

      • KQJM

AJ, I don’t disagree with your perspective about accepting responsibility and consequences for our actions. Celibacy certainly confers some advantages, but as a practical matter, few want or are able to observe it, you can’t coerce it, and I suppose you could try to criminalize it, but that really is not what a Democracy is about.

As far as the male “bloodline”…..ahhh well, what would be wrong with adoption?

As far as being rendered sterile for the rest of your life….. many woman too were rendered sterile before legal abortion….. those that lived through the back alley abortion mills that is. Many died, and with them, all future generations they might have gone on to produce.

So which is a worse evil….. or moral good…. the woman who has an abortion, but in later years goes on to raise a family of three or four… or the woman who dies in an illegal abortion, and all future children are gone, not just one? And her own parents, brothers, maybe husband, maybe other children, left bereaved?

      • Average Joe

        KQJM,
You’ve gone off on a tangent that doesn’t have anything to do with my assertion. You’ve filled your latest rant with “what ifs”, rather than addressing my assertion that abstinence works.
Abortion on demand doen’t adress the the problem, it exasperates the problem… It tells people that there is a quick “fix’ for your promiscuity and therefore if you screw up…no biggie, personal responsibilty is not nessesary…continue on…. we will fix it for you.
If car insurance was not mandatory and you could not afford car insurance, would you be more cautious in your driving habits… knowing that you are going to be held financially resonsible if you cause an accident? Of course you would, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that out. So, on the same train of thought…if you couldn’t run down to the clinic and get an abortion because you weren’t careful in your sexual encounters…are you going to be more cautious when making decisions about you sexual encounters? Of course you would…not to do so, would show your total lack of intelligence.
Yes I know…what about all of those unwanted babies being born…who’s gonna take care of them?…How about the childs parents? After all, it was thier decision to not take precautions or abstain from thier behavior… and as a result…now have a child. It isn’t anyone elses responsibility…only thiers and thiers alone.
Before you say it…”But what if they can’t afford that child?” You answered that question in your previous post…Adoption! I see absolutely nothing wrong with adoption…I was adopted…my parents couldn’t have children for medical reasons…and I was adopted by parents that actually wanted children and I praise God daily for thier choice. I had a much better life than my biological siblings. As for people wanting to have thier own biologically children…that again is thier choice to make…and you , me or anyone else does not have the right to deprive them of that right by mandating “vasectomies” or any other mode of forced sterilization…period….that’s called eugenics ( which you are free to practice…on your own body…and yours alone). you are trying to tell me that sex controls peoples lives…rather than people control thier sex lives….a pretty weak idea and pretty weak people.

        You write:

“many woman too were rendered sterile before legal abortion….. those that lived through the back alley abortion mills that is. Many died, and with them, all future generations they might have gone on to produce. ”

And who exactly made that decision? They made the choice, now they must live with the consequences of those choices….no body force thier behavior…nobdy forced thier choice for that back ally abortion…they made the choice and live with the consequence…period.
While I agree that in certain circumstances abortion can be used ( the mothers health is at risk, rape, incest)….sexual promiscuity isn’t amongst them.

You are what I like to refer to as a “limited thinker”…not to put you down, since you seem to have an awful lot of company. You worry too much about the “what if”….while ignoring the “what is”…AKA reality.

Before you do it…stop with the excuses…excuse are like opinions….and certain anatomical orafices…everybody has one. Unfortunately, with a bit of critical thinking….most don’t hold up under scrutiny.

    AJ:

You say I go off on a rant rather than addressing your assertion that “abstinence” works.

My opening statement (of my 3 SHORT paragraph response) acknowledged that I agree with you in principal. I went on to state (not “rant”) that in practice that seldom happens. Your position can be simplified to one statement “if everyone were just more like me, the world will be a better place”.

So let me address issues and analogies you raise in your 10 paragraph, what can truly be called “rant”:

YOU STATE: Abortion on demand doen’t adress the the problem, it exasperates the problem… It tells people that there is a quick “fix’ for your promiscuity and therefore if you screw up…no biggie, personal responsibilty is not nessesary…continue on

—– First…The “problem” seems to be the conservative criticism of taxpayers money going to support these children once they are born, that it too promotes “promiscuity and irresponsibility”. So yes, abortion DOES solve that problem. You may find it personally repugnant, but it does “solve” the conservative problem of providing for children with tax dollars when parents are unable or unwilling to. REALITY CHECK: You can’t stop people from having sex, responsible or otherwise. You CAN provide ways, through birth control, and abortion, to mitigate that irresponsibility.

——Second, “if you screw up, no biggie, no personal responsibility…” Underlying this statement is the belief that abortion is a “pleasant” experience, without consequence for the woman. How did you derive that idea? Woman are stigmatized, physicians have been killed for providing them, woman have died or been left sterile. They are criticized and stereotyped, as you have done, as being “promiscuous” “irresponsible”. Why aren’t you criticizing the men who abandon the woman to bear children alone? Why is it you have no beef with them? You decry vasectomy on the grounds “my bloodline” is at stake? You make my point: A man’s need/desire to pass along his genes, his bloodline, truncates any other consideration. You put the onus all on the woman.

—–Third, the assumption that only “promiscuous” woman get pregnant and seek abortion so as to continue their promiscuity. Hello Rush Limbaugh….

AJ SAYS this about me: You are what I like to refer to as a “limited thinker”…not to put you down, since you seem to have an awful lot of company. You worry too much about the “what if”….while ignoring the “what is”…AKA reality.

—-First, I didn’t know the topic of discussion was about me. Thank you for changing the direction and making it about me. However, I am going to redirect it back to the original topic.

—Second…. REALITY. The REALITY is AJ, you can’t compel or legislate responsible sex. REALITY is abortion has ALWAYS been available, legally, or illegally. REALITY is fewer die and suffer, children and woman alike, through LEGAL abortion. REALITY is those that can afford it, will fly to other countries or states to obtain them. REALITY is only the poor, the young, will be forced to bear children they feel they cannot support. REALITY is most woman are coerced into abortion by circumstance. It is not the desired outcome of either the sexual act or of the pregnancy itself. In many cases it is the end result of MEN not taking responsibility and abandoning woman (for whatever reason…. “she’s promiscuous, but I screwed her anyway.” “I’m already married, sorry I lied”…..”your my wife, but I don’t WANT any children”….. “your my second younger wife, and I’ve ALREADY raised my children”.

AJ says of woman, and future generations of children that may die with her in back alley abortions: “who cares, that’s a consequence of their choice” and claims that as the “morally superior” position. I happen to disagree with that notion.

——-Woman who are forced into back alley abortions are living with the consequences of OTHER PEOPLES choice to prohibit her from a safe medical environment. The same safe medical environment people with means will obtain by going out of state, flying to other countries.

And finally AJ….. car insurance is not required in NH, and I’m quite certain they still have reckless drivers as well.

    • Average Joe

      KQJM ,
I see that you still haven’t figured out how to rply to a post. Practice ,practice, practice.

As usual, you keep circling the drain with the same excuses…I belive that I’ve already addressed that issue.
      You write:

“First…The “problem” seems to be the conservative criticism of taxpayers money going to support these children once they are born, that it too promotes “promiscuity and irresponsibility”.”

Nowhere in my post did I adress “taxpayer supporting these children”…only that the care of children…is the resonsiblity of those who have them…period. Therefore, if you can’t afford to raise children…you shouldn’t engage in activity that may produce children.

      You write:

“REALITY CHECK: You can’t stop people from having sex, responsible or otherwise. ”
No, I can’t …nor would I try to do so. However, not making it so easy to abort a fetus …certainly makes one think twice about the conseqences of pregnancy If one knows that they must carry a pregnancy to term…one may think twice about engaging in activity that may result in pregnancy…or will take precaution and preventative steps…to a higher level.

      You write:

“Underlying this statement is the belief that abortion is a “pleasant” experience, without consequence for the woman. You put the onus all on the woman.”

Actually, I never said the experience was pleasant…nor did I infer that it was….with or without consequence. Physicians that perform abortions know the risks and they, as a physician are obligated to share those risks with thier patients…not to do so is an ethical as well as lawful violation of thier duty as doctors.
Nowhere in my statements have I stereotyped women in any way, shape or form…you’ve simply assumed (incorrectly) that I have done so to bolster your argument…you have inserted your biases into my statement.

As for men eho abandon ..I believe that I covered that earlier…when I stated about accepting responsibility “If you can’t do that, then take responsibility for your actions (both parties involved)… ” or did that just fly over your head unnoticed….sorry…silly question on my part….of course it did…selective reading on your part….
Bloodline is everyone’s right…whether male or female….are you really that daft?…nm…again…silly question….on my part.

While morality can not be legislated, making it more difficult to behave in immoral behavior certainly can… and should be.
If abortion on demand is no longer possible…and a woman chooses to be immoral, gets pegnant and then decides to abort through “back ally” abortionists…then they do so at thier own risk…end of story. All they had to do..was not engage in activity that produces unwanted pregnancies in the first place. You are advocating for immoral behavior over personal responsibility….and anyone who disagrees whith your views..be damned.
While you wish to villify men for getting a woman pregnant and then not taking reposnsibilty for thier actions, you fail to villify the woman who allowed the man to have sex in the first place…..If the woman isn’t “putting out”, then the man certainly isn’t “putting in”…it is just that simple…it takes two to tango.

Once again, you’ve showed your true colors. You are a ton of excuses and lack any moral fortitude…blame it on everyone else. Grow up….buy a clue .

As for your NH insurance remark…I am betting that those people are held financially and personally reponsible for those accidents…care to wager on that?

Stick with speaking to children..critical thinking is not your forte’.

We have normality. I repeat, we have normality. Anything you still can’t cope with is therefore your own problem.

      • KQJM

AJ… you can use all the ridicule and sarcasm you want. I have not addressed you in any such fashion. I have not even advocated any position; rather, I have only questioned you on yours.

—–You ask me ““Underlying this statement is the belief that abortion is a “pleasant” experience, without consequence for the woman. How did you derive that idea?”

I derive it from this statement of yours:

—– “It tells people that there is a quick “fix’ for your promiscuity and therefore if you screw up…no biggie, personal responsibilty is not nessesary…continue on…. we will fix it for you.”

Within that statement, you assume “promiscuity”, you assume “willfulness”, you posit abortion as a “quick fix”, as if it were a cavalier decision, and present childbearing not so much as living up to responsibility, but as punishment for having been so stupid to get pregnant in the first place. You also leave out of your equation married woman who for many reasons dare not refuse their partner without severe consequence.

——You ask me: “As for men eho abandon ..I believe that I covered that earlier…when I stated about accepting responsibility “If you can’t do that, then take responsibility for your actions (both parties involved)… ” or did that just fly over your head unnoticed….sorry…silly question on my part….of course it did…selective reading on your part…”

Not selective reading, just a recognition that you present the “ideal” rather than the “real”. Reality: Men, more than woman, run from “unwanted pregnancy”. Married men, single men. Sure, it’s great if “both” take responsibility. More often than not, it’s the woman (married or unmarried) left hanging to both support and raise children. The reality is that BOTH seldom take responsibility. In the ideal world of fantasy, sure, he is ecstatic to assume the role of fatherhood, ecstatic to provide financial support, and rushes right in to make it right. That happens in every fairy tale every little girl reads. Operative words…. FAIRY TALE.

I find your position shows an incredible lack of compassion, or respect for any human life that exists “outside” the womb, any of the various circumstances that can lead to pregnancy other than those of “promiscuous party girl with disregard for responsibility and only into quick fixes”. To me, that illustrates either a poverty of life experience, or a rather privileged, isolated life experience…. I’m not certain which.

I am actually disappointed in your response, the aspersions cast regarding me personally, in the hopes that by discrediting the person, you can discredit the uncomfortable questions raised.

However, I will take your “piece”, which is both defensive and personally accusatory, as an illustration of how to “properly” respond to a post, something I take you are attempting to instruct and mentor me in.

Hoping your coma doesn’t last much longer….(see how quickly I catch on!)

    To Vigilante:
You state the following: Relative to the 95% comment, do you deny that blacks voted in record numbers to elect Obama just because he is black? How does that empirical statement demonstrate animosity, hatred or bile? Explain yourself, leftie.

    —————————————————————————————————
Hahahaha….ok Viggie, let me answer your question.

It is not particularly the most egregious example of hate and vileness…. I agree that “hate and vile” is perhaps too strong a term to characterize your remark in that post. At most, it goes to perpetuate stereotyping and dismissing and valid qualities the Obama platform offered to voters of ALL color and ethnicities.

With that out of the way, your statement does NOT say 95% of BLACK voted OBama.
Rather, you make the broad general statement that “… 95% voted for Obama because he was black.”

That is, your original post does not specify the 95% as applying to anything but ALL voters, white, asian, hispanic inclusive. You leave it as 95% of the voting population. You do not restrict it to blacks.

That is to dismiss any real, objective reason people (white, asian, latino, mexican, polish, irish, etc…. you know…. the “other Americans”) chose to cast their vote other fore reasons other than color. And there were real, objective reasons for choosing him over Sarah Palin/McCain. Also, I did not make the connection of Tamara being a “black name” , since the only Tamara I know is white.

Anyway, it’s a bit like me saying most people were for the McCain/Palin ticket because most of the men were publicly talking about how they’d like to “pork” Palin, even the leftie men. That’s not exactly a reason grounded in objective reasoning, and it dismisses any legitimate reasons others felt they saw in their platform.

    Can we be friends now?

“I am sorry that logic eludes you. Once again you offer more excuses that don’t hold up under scrutiny. Rather than sit here wasting my time ( a valuable commodity that can’t be replaced) arguing your fallacies yet again,I’ll leave to your delusions of superior intellect.
If I tell that you win…can we both go home? regardless…this converstation is terminated….continue on withut me.

It is obvious from our discussion that you have a one track mind to nowhere…enjoy the ride.

Before you open your mouth and spew forth more garbage…my reply in advance…yada, yada, yada…. (go ahead, get in the last word..I wouldn’t want your swelled head to explode)”

    AJ

    —————————————————————————————————————–
Thank you for your generous offer of giving me the last word, demonstrating both the proper behavior a gentleman and appropriate “board etiquette” on this site.

I accept your offer, and leave you with this, my own parting shot.

I do not fear your scrutiny, or exposure of my “fallacious reasoning”, for that is how one grows. I welcome it, even from you, whose scrutiny is that of a one eyed man with no peripheral vision, for only one with truncated sight would cast a discussion as “one has to be winner- one has to be loser”, and only a person who fears losing runs off with such a mean spirited response.

With that said, I graciously accept your defeat.

Best Wishes on your speedy recovery.

        Ahhhh…….Yes, it’s all about me, isn’t it?

Why don’t you and AverageJoe do a mind meld. His time is more valuable to waste on me, or my posts. I suggest you do the same….. spend your valuable time learning something usefull, say like …. I don’t know…maybe how to turn off your CAPS KEY AND USE OF PUNCTUATION OTHER THAN ELLIPSES.

      • Average Joe

        Verl Sinko ,
I tried to warn you about repying to folks like KQJM….The mental giants think with emotion rather than reason and logic. It’s all about compassion for these folks…no actual thought required. These folks don’t respond well to logic or even facts for that matter…it’s thier opinion and it’s very true…and they always have to get in the last word..as I proved above…they don’t know when to walk away…at least her head didn’t explode….wait for it…here it comes…lmao….

        Best Wishes,
        AJ

A vote for Romney will put American Values back going against a radical change of Obama= disoriented leader who can’t make up what side he is for chrislam radical islamist, against military who spare their lives for our Nation; but favores their lives that were spent in his fraudulent rule.

How masculine of you AJ….protecting VIrl from me. You man-up after all and do the right thing….protect the weak, those who can’t defend themselves. Your a closeted liberal after all.

Now, if you would just learn to accept responsibility for your acid tongue…… yes, there’s a key concept here….. actually accepting responsibility for YOUR behavior…. and in this case, it’s the poor way you approach differences of opinion. This board isn’t about me. It’s a place to present viewpoints, discuss differences. Well, at least according to the board host, who claims tolerance and welcoming of ALL viewpoints with this disclaimer

“Make your case passionately, but civilly. Please don’t stoop to name calling”.

In almost every post, you distance yourself from the topic and start making character attributions about me. YOU make it about me, YOU steer it off course. Where’s the logic in that??

A vote for Obama will bring war with Syria, Iran, and eventually Russia and China. The economy will continue to suffer in order to bolster the interests of off-shore corporate-financier interests, while the collective prospects of Americans continue to whither and blow away.

A vote for Romney, however, will also bring war with Syria, Iran, and eventually Russia and China. The economy will also continue to suffer in order to bolster the interests of off-shore corporate-financier interests, while the collective prospects of Americans continue to whither and blow away. Why?

Because the White House is but a public relations front for the corporate-financier interests of Wall Street and London. A change of residence at the White House is no different than say, British Petroleum replacing its spokesman to superficially placate public opinion when in reality the exact same board of directors, overall agenda, and objectives remain firmly in place. Public perception then is managed by, not the primary motivation of, corporate-financier interests.

It is the absolute folly to believe that multi-billion dollar corporate-financier interests would subject their collective fate to the whims of the ignorant, uninformed, and essentially powerless voting masses every four years. Instead, what plays out every four years is theater designed to give the general public the illusion that they have some means of addressing their grievances without actually ever changing the prevailing balance of power in any meaningful way.

The foreign policy of both Obama and Romney is written by the exact same corporate-financier funded think-tanks that have written the script for America’s destiny for the last several decades.

    Bush = Obama = Romney

As was previously reported, while the corporate media focuses on non-issues, and political pundits accentuate petty political rivalries between the “left” and the “right,” a look deeper into presidential cabinets and the authors of domestic and foreign policy reveals just how accurate the equation of “Bush = Obama = Romney” is.

Presidents are professional spokesmen, representative not of the American people but of Fortune 500 multinational corporations and banks.

Since the time of JP Morgan 100 years ago, the corporate-financier elite saw themselves as being above government, and national sovereignty as merely a regulatory obstacle they could lobby, bribe, and manipulate out of existence.

In the past 100 years, the monied elite have gone from manipulating the presidency to now reducing the office to a public relations functionary of their collective interests…

Well, I can agree with all that. But at least one party is willing to scrape some crumbs off the table onto the floor, while the other is saying “crumbs on the floor means I don’t have the entire loaf? No way!”

KQJM says: But at least one party is willing to scrape some crumbs off the table onto the floor…

Ok, i’ll play along…exactly which party might that be?

I’ll just pray before I walk in that booth and let the Holy Spirit be my guide…..

      • KQJM

Sorry, that really didn’t answer your question. I don’t know who it will be, but I can tell you who it won’t be….. it won’t be Ryan/Romney team. Ryan embraces Ayn Rand’s philosophy, whom William F. Buckley Jr, characterized as “the absence of any goodness whatsoever”, evangelical Chuck Colson warns fellow conservatives that her philosophy is anti-Christan, and the Catholic nuns and bishops issued a statement that his budget plan is the antitheses of Christianity. Noam Chomsky simply calls her “evil”. So three of the greatest thinkers of our time abhorred the philosophy that Ryan embraces, and Romney by extension endorses too. If they had Ron Paul on the ticket, it would be a different consideration. They did not. They chose the most radical element they could find.

  • KQJM

And AJ…. I never said I was walking away. You did. You came back. Must be you have a crush on me now?

    • Average Joe

      KQJM ,
Are you brain damaged? I haven’t replied to until now…wow…seems like you have a crush on you.
My only reply was to Verl Sinko…but none to you. So, unless you are Verl and conversing with yourself…you are simply delusional…seek professional help. I am guessing that you also have a reading comprehension problem as well?…oh wait…that has been obvious from the start….

      AJ

      • KQJM

You are obviously fascinated with me. Your posts are not on topic, but keep bringing my name into it. That’s not a delusion, that’s a fact. You can’t reply to a post without invoking some disparaging remark about me? Seems I am not the delusional one here. You advise Virl to refrain from replying to my posts, but then go on to tackle me? Are you one of those hyprocrite’s who subscribe to the “do as I say, not as I do” philosophy? Rhetorical question only.

Nonetheless, since you have a compulsive disorder to reference me in your posts, “dress me down”, etc….. let me point out that you missed an opportunity to comment on me regarding a post I made where I *DID* address you personally.

Barack Hussein Obama’s concession speech will be his best speech yet.
“My fellow Americans..I just got off the phone with Governor Romney…and congratulated him on a well-run campaign. Michelle was crying because she says we can’t go on anymore luxurious vacations on Air Force One. I told her don’t worry, I’ll still collect a $400,000 pension for life. Matter of fact, we’re moving back to Kenya where the cost of living is cheap. Gonna buy a herd of goats. To all of my supporters, I say thank you and may Allah be with you.”

  • chuckb

palin16, we should throw in a prayer rug as a consolation prize.

Wow,..Just looking at the responses to ben’s video,..apparently the guard’s at the “institution”have left the gate’s open,..The,up-the creek-w/o-a-paddle-incompetent-chief of the U.S.A.,,seriously needed more than a teacher,he needed a mother,..which he obviously did not have,..cannot blame her,..the man is fugly,..

Is this guy supposed to be funny? He must have gotten his jokes from the same people who wrote Rmoney’s birther joke.

Oh just hang around….if you don’t get on the bandwagon of ridicule and scorn here, then you will be subjected to it.

  • Debbe

OBAMA….we will feel the aftershocks for years to come. Anyone, and I mean anyone, who really believes that this man is good for America, is a communist.

    • Dave67

      Debbe,

Please educate yourself on what communism is… You clearly are confused.

Now this economy, the debt… This is the product of 30+ years of bad tax policy, bad spending policy, bad trade policy and deregulation.

      Obama did not invade Iraq,
Obama did not push for tax cuts while wars were going on.
Obama did not start us down the road of selling out our manufacturing base and deregulating the banks and wall street.

Obama has had little impact on the direction this country is going, that is both compliment and dig… Congress has seen fit to play games and the GOP made it their mission to make Obama a 1 term President. Their mission is not jobs or to fix this economy in any fundamental way.

      We need new political parties.

      • KQJM

Well said Dave67. It’s a systemic problem, not an individual one.

      • Dave67

        KQJM,

Yes, we need to wise up sooner than later. Romney’s policies along with another rubberstamp GOP congress will lead to our ruination.

60 Minutes had an excellent piece of Grover Nordquist yesterday…. He is so concerned about raising taxes and exposes anyone who dares raise taxes for any reason even if the situation cannot be fixed without raising taxes. He will spend big money to unseat anyone who signs his ridiculous pledge and raises taxes even for the greater good of the country..

But when asked to disclose the corporatists that fund his group, he says no because his vampires cannot stand the light of day.

We need a balanced approach to fix this economy.
