Barack Obama’s Really Bad Day

May 18, 2012 by

Barack Obama’s Really Bad Day
On May 8, voters showed Barack Obama their true colors.

When there’s something to celebrate, it’s called a red-letter day. A black-letter day, on the other hand, is “a day on which a great incident of misfortune happened or has happened.” Well, Barack Obama had a black-letter day last week. In fact, May 8 may go down as the turning point in his re-election campaign — the day voters made it clear he would be a one-term President.

There were four pivotal events on May 8. Let’s begin with the one that may have been the most telling: the Democratic primary in West Virginia. Did you know that Obama’s primary opponent there got 41 percent of the vote and actually won 10 counties?

Unless you live in West Virginia, you probably didn’t even know that the President had a primary opponent there. But here’s the most amazing part: His opponent didn’t make a single public appearance in the contest.

He didn’t because he couldn’t; he was in jail at the time!

That’s right. Keith Judd, the guy who came close to defeating an incumbent President in West Virginia’s primary, is better known as inmate No. 11593-051 at the Beaumont Federal Correctional Institution in Texas.

All Judd had to do to get on the ballot was file the proper paperwork and pay a $2,500 fee. reported that Judd said: “Some outside supporter provided that to the Secretary of State; I do have outside support. I’m unaware of who that particular person was, and whether it was a person or a collection of persons.”

Judd has a history of entering various contests. According to New Mexico Telegram, Judd ran three times as a write-in candidate in New Mexico: twice for Mayor of Albuquerque and once for Governor. Judd himself told that he’s been a perennial Presidential candidate since 1996. The Associated Press reported that in 2008, his name was on the Democratic Party ballot in Idaho.

I guess every inmate needs a hobby.

And I’m not surprised that four out of 10 Democratic voters in West Virginia would prefer anyone to Obama. After all, the President has made it clear he’ll do everything he can to destroy the coal industry in this country.

Prohibit businesses from burning coal, and there’s no reason to mine the stuff. Destroy coal mining, and you pretty much destroy the economy of West Virginia. That’s not hard for the folks there to understand. So it’s really no surprise that a lot of voters there would prefer anybody — even a jailbird — over the incumbent President. Look for every Democrat in the State to distance themselves as far as possible from the President in their own campaigns.

Obama’s re-election committee knows they didn’t have a chance of carrying the State. They wrote it off long ago. But if West Virginia doesn’t matter to the Democrats, North Carolina certainly does. The State is viewed as so crucial to Democratic prospects this year that they decided to hold their national convention in Charlotte.

So what happened when North Carolinians went to vote last week? They voted overwhelmingly in favor of adding a new amendment to the State Constitution, declaring that marriage is between one man and one woman.

Obama and Joe Biden had publicly opposed the measure. Bill Clinton even recorded robocalls against it. And when pollsters queried citizens before the vote how they felt about it, many people in the State claimed they weren’t in favor of it.

But it turns out there can be a big difference between what people say in public and how they vote in private. Voters in North Carolina turned out in record numbers for the election. And once they closed the curtain behind them, 61 percent of them voted to define marriage as the union of one man and one woman. Period.

(By the way, about 20 percent of Democratic voters checked “no preference” in the Presidential primary. Since Obama carried the State by a slim 14,000-vote margin in 2008, you have to think his prospects are iffy for winning it again this year.)

So what did the President do? The very next day after North Carolina passed a gay marriage ban, he came out in favor of gay marriage. That’s a strange way to get voters in the Tar Heel State enthusiastic about your candidacy, wouldn’t you say? This issue could even put a dent in the nearly unanimous support he receives from black voters.

Of course, the media have gone absolutely gaga over the President’s announcement. They’ve been waiting 3.5 years for his position to “evolve” this far. Newsweek magazine put the President’s face on the cover under the headline “The First Gay President.” A rainbow-colored halo appeared above Obama’s head.

The Democrats are counting on the President’s position to win them more support than it costs them. Time will tell if they’ve guessed right. Certainly, it won’t hurt him in Hollywood. A $40,000-a-head fundraiser at George Clooney’s house a few days later raised more than $15 million for Obama’s re-election coffers. But Hollywood isn’t the heartland. And the louder the gay rights brigade gets, the more votes it will cost them.

For our last two examples of Obama’s really bad day, let’s turn to the Midwest. One of the most important primary elections this year took place in Indiana, where voters told Richard Lugar it was time for him to retire from the Senate.

I almost said they decided to send him “back home.” But actually that was part of the problem. It seems Lugar hasn’t had a legal residence in Indiana for decades. For years, he listed a house he sold in 1977 on his voter-registration form.

Lugar had not faced a primary opponent since he was first elected to the Senate in 1976. But this year, conservatives united behind Richard Mourdock, a well-known and popular state official. Mourdock had the support of several Tea Party groups, the Club for Growth and Freedom Works.

So much for rumors that the Tea Party movement was a one-time phenomenon.

The Lugar campaign resorted to the same sort of scare tactics we’re going to see a lot of this year. In one TV commercial, a white-haired grandmother-type says, “He’s not thinking, is he? No idea of consequences, what this means to people. He’s going to ruin people.” While she speaks, the following sentence appears: “Richard Mourdock has a plan to cut every senior’s Social Security by nearly $2,500 a year.”

Happily, Hoosier voters didn’t buy it. Lugar received less than 40 percent of the primary vote, despite blatant appeals to Democrats and independents to vote for him in the Republican primary. Will this momentum carry Mourdock to victory in November? We’ll find out in six months.

Finally, please direct your attention to Wisconsin, where we won’t have to wait nearly so long for an answer. As you’ll recall, labor unions have spent millions of dollars there and imported thousands of activists to force a recall election for their nemesis, Republican Governor Scott Walker.

That election takes place on June 5. But the primary to pick his opponent was also held a week ago Tuesday. And significantly enough, more people cast ballots for Walker than for any other candidate.

One day, four elections. And four warnings for the left that a whole lot of voters want to see some changes made — just not the ones Obama and his buddies are trying to shove down our throats.

Until next time, keep some powder dry.

DaveH, while you’re “hoping and dreaming” how about some facts and figures to prove that “Bulls bears donkeys and elephants” was a “misrepresentation” of the figures used for that study ! You inferred that it was wrong so where are your figures to prove it was wrong??? Surely the Republicans furnished you some figures when they asked you to believe that they were better than the DEmocrats all those years they were telling Americans that Democrats would ruin the economy if elected!! NO SOUND BITES! JUST FACTS AND

      • BLH557

Re: GWB’s “terrible” economy. The GAO reports in 2010 that the deficit was going DOWN until 2006 when, oh, for shame, the DEMOCRAPS got total control of Congress; both houses.

        How’s that working out, now?

      • Capitalist at Birth

Writing in all large case letters is annoying, and I totally ignore posts by people who SHOUT!

      • Vigilant

Ignoring nc’s postings is a wise decision. He/she has sounded like a broken record on this BS stock market rant for months on end. I’ve pointed out the fallacy of the “statistics,” but logic, reason and mathematical proficiency is most decidedly NOT nc’s cup of tea.

I’ve put that baby to bed long ago, NC. But you wouldn’t understand because you don’t have the mental capacity to understand.
But for those who would like to learn something, I refer to my previous comments (follow the thread):

      • DaveH

And how many times to I have to tell you, NC? All your shouting does not make your invalid points valid. I pity those who have to live with you.

      • DaveH

Here is a rebuttal to Tommy McCall’s biased treatment of market gains by Democrat Presidents by John Gruber:

More to the point, it doesn’t matter if Democrats or Republicans are taking away our Freedoms or Prosperity. What matters is that we need to get them back, and it isn’t going to happen with Big Government. It never does.

      • Bill

You are proof that “You can lead a Democrat to facts, but you can’t make them think !” . . . Your Antartican thought process is self induced, so you can snap out of it if you walk toward the light ! . . .Pesky little things those facts !

LOL!!! nc’s gone off the DEEP end like Joe Biden and Howard Dean!!!

Hey n.c. I just looked up idiot in my dictionary. Is that really a picture of you ? I especially liked the t-shirt you are wearing. The one that says “moron”. I looked up moron. It said ‘see idiot” Good luck in the Romney Administration.

hhhhmmmmmmmm……..the voting choices of WEST VIRGINIA………as indicative of??????
Lot of real estate buying opportunities there…..I wonder if Chip is investing? After all, it was according to John Denver, “almost heaven”? Then, of course, we would have to wonder what Chip thinks of Marion Barry, who was a convicted felon, and then got re-elected as Mayor of D.C., and is at present on the “city council”?

      • Nancy in Nebraska

I agree with the others. It’s one thing to capitalize a word or a sentence but you go way overboard. It’s annoying and I dont even read it.

      • RichE

WOW! Flame NC for yelling about over-spending, that’s funny. I guess the debt isn’t topical anymore?

NC, I think all administrations are guilty of over spending. They can’t be trusted and they can’t be watched. If you get the numbers I’d like to know where the 14 trillion went. Who spend how much on what?

      • JeffH

nc, you’re accomplishments here are well documented and everything that needs to be said, has been. Just follow the replys…nuff said!

Wow! I have not heard that one in decades! (1964 / 1965?) I used to have the 45 until I cleaned out my closet at the end of 2010 and gave it, and a whole box of 45s, to my daughter’s fiance. I even gave him a couple of the metal inserts for the center so they could be played on a regular size spindle.

        And yes, I do still have a record player – 16, 33, 45, 78. And an under-dash 8 track tape player.

And my sisters say I need to join teh 20th Century….

GOOD Retort! As far as 2 REDneck states voting against progressive issues and a DSemocrat, well DUH they’re rednecks. As for the Scott Walker thing I believe the tree will bear fruit in the end for Democrats. Then there is the Luigar thing. I live in Indiana in his district. I never voted for him becausae he is a Republican in a backwards conservative state but he was FAR better than the ULTRA extremist Mourdock. The advantage now is that the conservative/moderate democrat Donnelly will have a chance in the fall as Independents hopefully will shy away from the Extremely FAR right winger Mourdock.

Only because the democraps print money and cause inflation which means your inflated stock market isnt worth as much as it used to. Oh by the way we have lost 1000 pts this week explain that>

Your tirade is the typical liberal progressive rants about everything except what is happening today. You all deflict with smoke and mirrors and talk about things from the past, you deflict because your hero, the one, has failed at governing this country by the will of the people. He has failed in his pre-election promises of change and hope, which he has not even tried to accomplish. This man is anti American, anti constitution and pro Communist. He and his political thugs that believe they are above the law will destroy this country if they are allowed another 4-years in office.

Obama was created by the powers that be for the only reason of destroying America!

This total fraud of a man is so extremely corrupt, I would almost call him pue evil, accept for the fact that the true devils are the ones that control him.

How can any American consider voting for a thing (can’t call him a president, or a man because he has been neither) that was raised by an anti-American, communist, anti-God, dysfunctional, extremely mentally and morally corrupt family?

How can any American vote for a imposter that hides every record of his past, has a fraudulent birth certificate, fraudulent social security number, fraudulent marriage and has had many sexual relations with other men?

How can any American vote for an obama?

The answer is… American would vote for such corruption!

If you look at the rallies behind the obamanation, you will see that every person there is an anti-American freak.

Militant and uneducated blacks, anti-American muslims, homosexuals, communist, socialist, ex felons, child molesters, rapist, murderers, Satanist from Hollywood, and every corrupt form of life that the democratic promotes!

These freaks are not American; they might live here, but despise all that is good with America!

Any freak that backs the thing in the White House is just a product of an extremely liberal childhood that most likely caused the insanity in their heads, just like the fraud in the White house.

It’s a proven fact that most “liberals” think the way they do because they suffered severe psychological trauma as a child.

Most were mentally, physically or sexually abused as a child and the ones that weren’t just have severe mental issues or brain damage!

Obama had all three issues as a child, and he is now the puppet of extremely evil men, and the leader of extremely disturbed people.

I pray every day that this insanity comes to an end, but the only true way of changing a liberal, is by daily extremely high dose electric shock treatment or sit back and watch them kill each other like in the “black communities” and gay community’s (gays love aids, if they didn’t, they would practice safe sex).

The insanity in the democratic cult will come to an end soon enough, so sit back and enjoy the freak show, just be ready to defend what is yours and your family when the fraud is sent back to the most corrupt state in the union.

God bless America and those who fight for her!!!!

Void – You sure are in a void to speak of your fellow human beings thusly:
“Militant and uneducated blacks, anti-American muslims, homosexuals, communist, socialist, ex felons, child molesters, rapist, murderers, Satanist from Hollywood, and every corrupt form of life that the democratic promotes!”

Just because they support someone you don’t. You must live a very sheltered life and never come into contact with anyone but conservatives.

      • Jay

Well said Void1972! nc, forgot to take your meds? Karolyn, truth hurts?

      • Void1972

        Karolyn stated

“You sure are in a void to speak of your fellow human beings thusly”:

These so called “fellow human beings” do not deserve to be a member of our race and have no place in America.
Let’s send the communist to live in Russia, if you hate capitalism so much, go live in a communist Russia, and if you can’t afford airfare to Russia, try Cuba, it’s a short swim idiot!
Let the Militant and ignorant blacks go to the Africa they are soooo proud of, we will happily send them there because they have been a huge part of the destruction of America with the hundreds of billions wasted every year on your “fellow human beings” spewing out more liberals, ( 70% black children born out of wedlock)our prison system (70 % black)like we don’t do enough for your “fellow human beings” they have to take more and more and soon Karolyn, they will be at your door, and I hope you’re ready for your “fellow human beings” because you cannot satisfy a virus, it will multiply and multiply until it destroys it’s host!
These are the totally corrupt of our society that create nothing but more corrupt. Insanity breeds insanity and there is no better example than the liberal, progressive, communist or whatever obama is calling himself these days.

“Forward” liberal idiots to your own demise!

As America is being fleeced by the obamanation, and he is printing trillions of dollars to keep the good liberal fat, happy, dumb as sin and multiplying like rats, the time is nearing when the obamanation will run out of IOUs to the bankers that created this, and then my dear, I will love to see how you consider your “fellow human beings”.

As the savage America and God hating liberal starts to riot for more entitlements (that they think they are entitled to because the obama told them so), they will stop at nothing to take what is yours, and then my dear, don’t come crying at my door, because you will reap what you sow, and you have sown a problem through your ignorance that nobody can repair.
These liberals are “your” “fellow human beings” Karolyn, please don’t mistaken them for “my fellow human beings” because they’re not!

My “fellow human beings” are hardworking blacks and whites that have fought and died for your ignorance and have contributed to this great nation their entire lives!

Your “fellow human beings” are the takers, and have given nothing but horror to this great nation and try to destroy all that is decent and good!

I would recommend choosing your “fellow human beings” wisely in the near future, because the savages are at the gate, and obama has the key!

God bless America and those who fight for her!!!!

To NC sorry about the accident that left you Brain Dead, Obamination has more than doubled the price of gas, he has increased unemployment to 22% (go to U.S. National Debt Clock Real Time and get actual figures for our debts and unemployment by the second), food has increased by 33% and rising, he has spent by November of this year more money than the last 12 Presidents and has nothing to show for all of our Money. We have Obamination Death Care where Obamination took $500 Billion out of Medicaid (for the Poorest People) to use to pay for his death care bill. He promised to fix our Electrical Grid never even fixed one line, promised to fix All of our Falling down Bridges I believe he fixed one. He has placed the most Radical group of America hating Muslims, Socialists and Communists in the White house 80 Communists in the DemoRAT House of Non Representatives and our Supreme Court. He has placed Sunni Muslim judges in our Courts and has kissed the ass of every enemy of our Country. He has proposed and signed three bills that just took away our 1st and 5th Amendment rights away and given himself total power by Executive Order such as a King. He and our Congress are the most Corrupt and Treasonous group of Traitors ever to enter D.C. and you are either a Communist Radical Socialist or Sunni Muslim in either case an IDIOT. His death Care bill was just reviewed and the New cost of this Travest went from $900 Billion to over $2.1 Trillion Dollars plus there are 40 hidden taxes in this bill to help pay for it. And just yesterday he is sending $3 Billion of our tax dollars to Africa, when we are bankrupt here and don’t have three Billion to send out of Country. I could go on and on But!!!

      • Paula

What about the bad economy under Carter, oh yeah that’s right he was a Democrat.

I think Obama should compare himself to the FDR. FDR became President during the depression and his administration addressed the economic problems by instituting his “New Deal” strategy of Government-funded initiatives, public works programs, and overhaul of the financial system. Many think these solutions had a positive effect on, or may have even ended the Great Depression. In recent years, economists and historians have maintained that Roosevelt’s programs actually exacerbated and gave greater longevity to the Depression. In reality is was capitalism that pulled the US out of the great depression. Business owners put aside their own agenda retooled their assembly lines and began building ships and airplanes etc for the war effort. After the war ended they had to retool their assembly lines again. Point is it was not the government that got us out of the great depression, it was good old capitalism and it is what we need to fix the economy now.

We need to be done with Obama’s New Deal!

About the stock market, its not driven by the democrats as you could like to believe. It is driven by speculators

        • Katrael

Paula, good points about FDR. And to all of those liberal progressive minded people who wrongly believe that the government creates jobs that directly contribute to the financial well being of this country: the government only creates jobs that use tax money not ones that creates new tax money. A government employee can only contribute tax money that they get from tax money. The net effect is a whopping 0. A government employee might as well no file a return unless they earn an income from a private source then they should have to pay on their gross income.

      To DaveH.:
Unfortunately, the incumbent will get re-elected again. As stated so many times my face is turning blue, it’s going to be because of his competition or more like lack of!! Thanks!!

      • moonbeam

I don’t know about that, Tony. People are beginning to wake up, finally. I’ve said before, a friend of mine, a staunch O supporter, is running out of arguments to defend him. Plus the new unauthorized bio book on him is out called “The Amateur” by Edward Klein is getting a lot of reviews and couldn’t have come out at a better time.

I’ve read some excerpts from it and it doesn’t paint a pretty picture of the illegal president or his wife, both who are using questionable SS numbers. And as we all know, O’s SS# doesn’t pass eVerify.

      • Nadzieja Batki

Tony, who are you trying to convince that O will win again?

      • eddie47d

The author made a weak attempt to place Lugar into the Obama camp. Never gonna happen and bye bye Lugar. Gov Walker isn’t near as popular as he was when first elected and created many more enemies than friends. That election will be a squeaker for him or his opponent. .

      • Tom W.

Ladies, moonbeam I’m takin’ for granted you are a lass, I have to agree with Tony, O’s best chance of winning is Mitt! You notice how Mitt wants to play nice all of a sudden, that’s ’cause if O plays either the race or faith card, he’s TOAST! GOD FORBID he should play both!!! I SAY PREPARE FOR THE WORST, ’cause then only it or something better can happen! The way I see it, we’d BETTER pray that enough conservatives get elected to the House and Senate as to offset anything that O’s going to try and shove through in the next four years!!!

      • Libertytrain

Interestingly enough EDDIE, when I was in Milwaukee a few weeks ago, there were more pro Walker signs than against him in front yards. I found it interesting. I don’t know about the whole State but Milwaukee is a demo area.

      • JeffH

eddie, eddie, eddie…join the 21st century. Do you ever get tired of being the village “harpy”? Some people just can’t be fixed, even after 3 years.

JeffH, do ya rekon thet eddie got the message? Stupid is forever?

I hope (that is now a 4 letter word) you are correct, but remember; it’s not who votes, but who counts the votes. That is how Soetoro won last time. Fraud in OH & PA, amoung others.

ACORN by any other name is still a criminal operation.

      • Old Henry

        Tom W:

The Congress (that’s the House AND Senate for you Soetoro bone heads) is irrelevant as has been shown more times than can be counted. Little Barry simply rules by decree much like a Pharaoh, and worthless weasels like Boehner simply look the other way.

I’m guessing that shortly after his next annointment in January Soetoro will take Boehner and the other usefull idiots and have them stand against a wall.

Boehner is Soetoro’s greatest ally in Congress.

      • JeffH

Katrael . :) Nope! Gotta be smart enough to know it first!

    • Flashy

Lol. Ol Chip had been writing in desperation these past few times. Wisconsin has the embattled incumbent receiving 25 million in outside monies…so he can oytspend by almost 25-1 the Dem challenger, who was just selected and within 6 pts with crunch time now on. I proffer a new governor for that state as the Dems now gather for a full campaign . Not bad news actually since it has only begun there. I’d say the next week will be telling.

WV … Give me a break. Is that all ya got ? WV was a lost state to begin with, and even yet will be close.

NC is a nail biter either way. Always has been and will be this year. Don’t duscount the Convention impact.

Indiana. Thank you Radical Right ! What was a solid Republican guarentee for the GOP is now a toss up leaning Dem. They chose a four time loser to carry the banner? Lol…

If the Radical Right played the election clean, Obama would win with a huge majority, larger than ’08. But the GOP/TP/American Taliban have been outed that the intent us to lie and lie and lie. Unfortunately, as this site proves daily, there are those who are suckers for being led by fear, gate, and ignorance.

I have it Obama garnering 312-329 electoral votes, the Dems hilding the Senate (taking Indiana) and a chance at the House, though the House will depend in a few TP candidates being nominated.

Right now, the Dems best friends are the TPers and the radicals.

      • Average Joe

Your opinion has been…duly noted, duly filed…and duly shredded. Thank you for your addition to my compost pile.
Feel free to engage in more of your “Garden Variety” bantor.

      • JeffH

      • Flashy

Actually Joe…paper isn’t something you should put in your compost pile. That’s a lot of chemmies to introduce to the garden…most if them long lived and not good for the body’s wellness.

My neighbor gets my shredded docs. He built a small shed as a workshop, and stuff the space between the outer wall and rough plank interior wall with the shreds. Cheap insulation. And gonna make a helluva bonfire if it ever goes up.

But as compost to reintroduce to the soil? Not the best idea in the world.

      • LarryR-Wisconsin

Flashy, flashy, flashy.. You do realize drugs are still illegal, right? If you do not know this you might want to back off the crack pipe and watch and learn as we go…. Just because you toads think something is going to happen does not make it happen. Most people I know (including some who voted for O) are voting for whoever it is that opposes him. I also want to note that if asked they just go with the flow so as not to make you cry babies whine, but come November you will see the turn out and O will be looking for a new home.

      • ringgo1

Oh flushed one, there you go again…

      • Beno

Lets see Flashy? if the election was fair, obozo wouldn’t have won the first time around. The same reason socialist like yourself don’t want ID’s, messes up the illegal vote and voting the dead. You wouldn’t know a honest election if it hit you between your leftist eyes. Why don’t you move to Europe that way you wouldn’t have to change the U.S. into your dream socialist dream land?

Well then, it’s a good thing this is all electronic communication…I will assume that my garden isn’t damaged. Only non-meat scraps and yard clippings go into my compost barrels….and lots of redworms to break it all down quickly….By turning my compost daily..I can produce about 15-20 cu.ft.of compost and about 3 gallons of compost tea…every 3-4 weeks…seams to work just fine for me… Looking into setting up an aquaponics system next… there’s nothing better than a self sustaining food supply. I feed the fish…the fish feed the garden…and they both feed me.., what a way to live….

      • Opal the Gem

“Actually Joe…paper isn’t something you should put in your compost pile.”

Don’t know if ol Flushy is outright lying or just blowing smoke out of his lower orifice but several natural living/enviorenmentaly concious publications such as Mother Earth reccomend using paper shreadings for mulch in the garden.

      • Average Joe

I believe he is referring more to the inks etc..that aren’t the best choice for the garden…while plain paper is fine..>I have about 2.5 acres here…so I get plenty of yard goodies for the barrel….without adding extras…other than food scraps.

    • Ron Johnson

For NC. I would like to let you know that a friend of mine and his wife, both who have held elected seats in NC for a long time ARE NOT running for re-election this time. They are fed up with the Democratic party shift to the far left as well as a number of us who are FORMER Democrats. I also know of three black ministers in my area who are anti-Obama due to his many anti-christian and ainti American comments. Stop listening to Chris Mathews and listen to the very educated opinions of the many people on here and then research sites other than the left. Find your own answers with an open mind.

As for WV they don’t have coal in every mountain and they don’t have any level/flat ground left. Knocking off the top of a few mountains helps the economy and gives them somewhere to build on if they can attract any businesses. You should see some of the beautiful reclaimed areas but all the environmental weenies will show you is active mines or sites from years ago that need fixed. (We need balance with the EPA and mining)

WV Democrats have controlled that state since before I left it in 69 and they have been in steady decline all those years. One day they may wake up and give the other side a chance.

      • Flashy

Ron…what coal company did you say you worked for ? Flattening mountain tops us good ? Bet the fish and wildlife agree as well as those folks looking at the water runoff.

BTW … Look it up. The best…the best and using a ton if money and resources….is 80% reclamation of soils. Jump starting the natural bacteria action and starting the natural bio system for soil replenishment is very difficult and so far, proving impossible to recreate.

There are abandoned farms throughout the West where you can see a stark contrast from soul farmed and natural plains. BTW …it looks pretty because ut is replant with non native species as well as planned to look pretty. Give it 20 years….you wouldn’t be able ti make that ckaim

        Flushed one:

You seem to have ingested a bad batch there. Maybe you should stop with the drugs; it seems to have affected your spelling at the very least…

      • Average Joe

I was born in W.Va. I grew up in W.Va. California and Florida. My teenage years were spent in W.Va. My father….was a heavy equipment operator who worked for a coal company that did both deep mining and what you tree huggers like to call “strip mining”.

I have been to many of the worksites that my father worked both while he was there and afterwards. I can tell you without hesitation that what they leave behind when an area is fully mined…is something that is far better than when they began. Other than areas around Union Carbide, FMC and Dupont…(alll of which operate in the Charleston area) there is not a stream that I can think of that I would be afraid to drink the water from, swim or fish in.

Obviously, you do not know the terrain of W.Va….they don’t call it the Mountain State for nothing. When most everything is hillsides…there’s a lot of unused land. When these companies mine out an area …they level out the area….create stocked lakes and replant the area….effectively making an area more useful…than when they started. BTW, they do the same thing here in Florida when mining phosphorus and lime….65- 75 years ago…I may have agreed with you…but…you are way out of date with your silliness.
Coal is good…Natural gas is also good…another fine product that W.Va. has an abundance of. I know this for a fact, I worked for Haliburton from 1977-1980 as a driver / bulk truck operator, concreting and capping gas wells around the state.

Stop believing everything you read…or hear from someone else.

If we do not vote Obama out and he is in there 4 more years, ‘Hoping & Dreaming’ may be all we will have left.

I would urge every FREEDOM LOVING CITIZEN and especially those intending to vote for Obama and his cronies to watch this YouTube video:

Obama admits he was not born in Hawaii: SEE HIM SAY IT & HEAR HIM SAY IT!

(Type or copy and paste the above url into the address box of your internet browser.)

Turn Sound Up and/or replay it: ‘The 1st thirty seconds is important.’

Look closely at the building and the people that Obama is speaking to. Looks like the inside of a mosque. Everyone in attendance appears to be middle easterners. No blondes or gray hair in this crowd.

He is very comfortable telling these people that he was not born in America. That he was in fact born in Kenya. It shows him walking around, rubbing his hands together and he stated. There have been some who say that I am not an American, they are right, I am not. I am from Kenya.

  • Sirian

The Democratic primary being razzed by merely an inmate is an indicator, very strong indicator for sure. What truly concerns me though is whether or not the election has already been rigged via the companies being used to count the vote. Possible? Yes! Probable? Unknown. There are to many side players involved in this upcoming election – Soros included. What takes place between now and November will determine the outcome. And that leaves the door standing wide open for who knows what’s next.

  • Karolyn

Regarding coal, there is a growing segment of the West Virginia population that wants to stop the destruction of their mountaintops by the coal industry.

    • MikeC711

Does sound good, but their thought that it will not impact the economy is naive at best. It will increase the cost of mining coal and cost tens of thousands of job. That area is already largely on entitlements … this will just mean that the remaining employed miners will lose their jobs as well. Hard work in the mines vs sitting back and living off the fruit of the labor of others … that’s a no-brainer. At least until the debt or taxes crush the economy totally.

The first word in that citation, “sustainable” shows the value of it. Sustainable development is a UN program that they have been pushing on the U.S. since the late 80′s.

    • Capitalist at Birth

Do you believe anything you read. This is a made up poll. Who took it and where are the questions asked. You are either a dupe or a comrade. Pray tell us which it is.

      • Karolyn

Did you read the article, Capitalist? There are many more. Here’s another.

Are you for leveling Wes t Virginia and ruining its scenic beauty to line the pockets of the coal corps?

      • Vigilant

“The poll was conducted by Lake Research Partners and Bellwether Research between July 25–28, 2011 and sampled the opinions of 1,315 registered voters in Kentucky, West Virginia, Tennessee, and Virginia using professional interviewers. The margin of error for the full sample was +/- 2.8%.”

The problems are twofold: Karolyn’s link is to an environmentalist website, you know, the same types that brought us the global cooling-then global warming-then global climate change hoaxes. Lake Research Partners are also envirowackos. Secondly, who were the 1,315 registered voters? 50% Dems and 50% Repubs? 75% Dems and 25% Repubs? I suspect the demographics were purposely skewed to yield the results they were looking for.

      • Vigilant

And her second link is to the “Environment and Wildlife Cause.”

        The envirowackos at work again.

      • Karolyn

Vig – Whatever the site does not negate the fact that the state of WV is suing. I thought I posted one for an ABC News video showing how ugly the land is being made to look. I would post all the links but I know that would delay my post being seen. Of course, I would love to find something on a conservative site, but they are all anti-environment.

        • Katrael

Karolyn, your statement that conservatives are, “all anti-environment” is ludicrous. If you had said that they are anti- EPA then I would have agreed. Many of the EPA’s regulations are not meant to be pro- environment as much as they are meant to be punitive toward business. A puddle of anti freeze on the floor of a radiator shop should not cost the owner $45,000 in fines. That’s why conservatives are anti-EPA and which ignorant people like you, who may have never been in business, sing the praises of an agency that is out on a punishment spree. I know one thing, if you needed your radiator fixed and you knew nothing about this incident that you’d take your vehicle to be repaired there as this particular shop has a good reputation for the work it does. Then you would applaud the EPA for having taken such dramatic steps toward some evil business man who was polluting the environment all the while paying those fines through the cost of the repair you just paid for. Not very intelligent on your part.

      • Vigilant

Karolyn, when you say, “I would love to find something on a conservative site, but they are all anti-environment,” you indicate ONCE MORE that you are a liberal.

You know something? In my whole life, I have NEVER met anyone who has claimed to be “anti-environment.”. Please don’t tell us once more that you’re voting for Dr. Paul, as if that means you haven’t bought into the leftist propaganda that Republicans want dirty air and water, as the Fearless Leader proclaims.

      • Vigilant

BTW, Karolyn, the governor of WV is a Democrat, as is 65% of the legislature. Is it any wonder they’re suing?

      • Karolyn

Vigilant – Why is it I can never find any good news on conservative blogs (unless it is at the expense of the other side)? Why is it there is nothing on conservative sites about environmental issues unless they are trying to debunk something that the left is pointing out. Why is there no “meeting of the minds” when there are so many issues where the minds really can meet? The fact is the mountains in WV are being destroyed by greed, and the right never says anything about it unless it is denial. I do not visit a whole lot of sites other than here, Before It’s News, Common Dreams, Care2, Townhall Daily and Skeptoid, so am I missing something?

      • Jay

Al Gore defends his extraordinary personal energy usage by telling critics he maintains a “carbon neutral” lifestyle by buying “carbon offsets,” but the company that receives his payments turns out to be partly owned and chaired by the former vice president himself.

Gore has built a “green money-making machine capable of eventually generating billions of dollars for investors, including himself, but he set it up so that the average Joe can’t afford to play on Gore’s terms,” writes blogger Dan Riehl.

Gore has described the lifestyle he and his wife Tipper live as “carbon neutral,” meaning he tries to offset any energy usage, including plane flights and car trips, by “purchasing verifiable reductions in CO2 elsewhere.”

But it turns out he pays for his extra-large carbon footprint through Generation Investment Management, a London-based company with offices in Washington, D.C., for which he serves as chairman. The company was established to take financial advantage of new technologies and solutions related to combating “global warming,” reports blogger Bill Hobbs.

Generation Investment Management’s U.S. branch is headed by a former Gore staffer and fund-raiser, Peter S. Knight, who once was the target of probes by the Federal Election Commission and the Department of Justice.

Hobbs points out Gore stands to make a lot of money from his promotion of the alleged “global warming” threat, which is disputed by many mainstream scientists.

“In other words, he ‘buys’ his ‘carbon offsets’ from himself, through a transaction designed to boost his own investments and return a profit to himself,” Hobbs writes. “To be blunt, Gore doesn’t buy ‘carbon offsets’ through Generation Investment Management – he buys stocks.”

As WND reported, Gore, whose film warning of a coming cataclysm due to man-made “global warming” won two Oscars, has a mansion in the posh Belle Meade area of Nashville that consumes more electricity every month than the average American household uses in an entire year, according to the Tennessee Center for Policy Research, citing data from the Nashville Electric Service.

The think tanks says since the release of Gore’s film, the former presidential candidate’s energy consumption has increased from an average of 16,200 kilowatt-hours per month in 2005, to 18,400 per month in 2006.

“Whatever the site does not negate the fact that the state of WV is suing.”

Yes Karolyn…the Govenor is suing the EPA…for stopping the permits….which puts more miners out of work…..It hurts the state financially…I believe that I would be suing too. This has got to be the most job killing administration the history of this once great nation.

As for your pics of how ugly it is…depends o when they were taken…was it a work in progress…or was it 15 years after the place was mined out? It usually takes 8-10 years for forrestry to grow back once the place is mined out…just sayin’. Unless you were there, you have no idea when the photos were taken or at what stage of the operation the mines were in …when the photos were taken.
Next, the crap in the article about…chemical contamination…when you dig dirt from one place and move it to another place…there is nothing moving …that wasn’t there to begin with…Try this sometime…get a shovel…dig up a shovel full of dirt….move it anywhere you want….was anything chemically contaminated during the move?

As for water runoff and the watershed claims, I can tell you as a professional Land Surveyor by trade, there is much research done on the land before removal ever starts…every inch of the area is surveyed and Topo’d (Topograghical mapping) They know before they start exactly how many and what size DRA’s (Drainage Retention Area) and where they will need to be placed…before the first shovel ful of dirt is ever moved….trust me on this…..Nothing is unaccounted for…including acts of God.

Stop believing this crap when you read it…use a bit of logic….Be skeptical.

Chip has obviously drank the kool-aid, singed on to work for the Republican Party and wholeheartedly believes in the mission that the most important thing in America today is not creating jobs, arresting crooked banksters and helping the economy, it’s getting rid of Obama.

You left out one important fact there Chip. Massive amounts of money 20 to 1 on the Republican Tea Party side just for Walker. But I guess that’s OK to run massive amounts of TV adds full of lies as long as it’s to defeat the left, the Unions, the Teachers, Firefighters and Police. Screw the workers America, screw the middle class, how dare they try and organize and demand democracy. So much for a free market and democracy.

The irony of it all is how you are always demonizing the supposed left billionaires like Buffet and Soros but somehow the fact that the right’s Koch Brothers billionaires, having funded all of the right wing think(not) tanks and the Tea Party, actually made their fortune in Russia working for Stalin. Now that’s priceless!

So go on and sell us on all your libertarian, free market and small government lies all the while your gang of thieves funders are pouring the most amount of money to corrupt our democracy.

      • eddie47d

Then answer Eric’s question. Why aren’t the Republicans helping to create more jobs and going after the Banksters who have been the real nemesis. Why may Walker get reelected with outside money? Enough of this business that Republicans don’t buy elections or at least attempt to do so. Money talks no matter which party is doing the bidding.

      • JeffH

aka Eric the Red, the self proclaimed progressive and a member of the American progressive movement founded on the basic principles that make up the ideologies of facism, communism and socialism.

Progressivism advocates—then and now—a total break from the principles of freedom articulated in our founding documents, particularly the Declaration of Independence. It seeks to either get around or dismantle limitations on government power, the very constitutional limitations established in the Constitution for the protection of individual freedom.

For this reason, the progressives desire for something old in world history, not something new. Remember President Coolidge?:

No advance, no progress can be made beyond these propositions. If anyone wishes to deny their truth or their soundness, the only direction in which he can proceed historically is not forward, but backward toward the time when there was no equality, no rights of the individual, no rule of the people.

Those who wish to proceed in that direction cannot lay claim to progress. They are reactionary. Their ideas are not more modern, but more ancient, than those of the Revolutionary fathers.”

“There have existed, in every age and every country, two distinct orders of men—the lovers of freedom and the devoted advocates of power.”

JeffH, eddie lives in a single party world, one populated by Republicans and Democrats but since he thinks he’s a Democrat, which is spelled different from Republican, he thinks he’s taking a stand on one side vs the other. He makes his arguments while looking in a mirror.

      • DaveH

After all these years of trolling the board, Eddie still doesn’t get it.
Eddie says — “Why aren’t the Republicans helping to create more jobs and going after the Banksters who have been the real nemesis”.
Because Republican or Democrat, Government does NOT create net productive jobs. All they can do is take money from the Private Sector, the real job creators, and waste it in the Government Sector, resulting in a net loss of productive jobs.
How can any thinking people think Government, which is very well insulated from retribution by their customers, will spend the money more wisely and productively than the Private Sector which loses customers or gets sued if they don’t do the right things?

        • Katrael

DaveH, I wanted reduce this issue of government contributions to society to a math problem and I think I may have succeeded.

Government jobs are 100% paid for by tax dollars.

Government employees tax contributions from government wages are 100% from the same tax dollars they earn.

          Net result:
          100 – 100 = 0

There is no financial benefit to the economy.

    • randall

you have a point, both political parties will not get it done, there really is only one political party, that is the govt party. USA has to currently borrow 40 cents of every dollar it spends. neither party has come up with how to cut govt by 50% or the stomach to do it, to get out of this mess. with the baby boomers getting ready to retire, the USA has over 700 trillion unfunded liabilities (thats promises to pay) with medicare, SS, etc. every institution is failing, govt that does not serve, schools that do not educate, hospitals that do not heal and religons that do not teach spirituality. it is time for the old ways to go, they are broke and bankrupt. it is time to be come self-relient again before it all comes down.

      • Butch

Randall, THANK YOU. Thank you for getting it. BOTH parties have screwed the people. I’m voting Ron Paul because hes consistent, honest and ALWAYS votes in conjunction w/ the Constitution. These comments give me hope that theres people out there that are actually intelligent and not fooled by the fake “Left vs Right” paradigm. BOTH parties have bankrupted this nation and launched immoral, unending unwinnable wars that benefit ONLY the Banksters and war profiteers. They’ve spent our money recklessly, raided SS and never replaced it all the while blaming each other and just raising the debt ceiling. Obumma blamed Bush jr for adding 3.5 TRILLION to our debt in 8 years and then he himself turns around and adds 5 TRILLION in 3.5 years!!! And NO democrats are outraged about that. this nation needs a revolution.

    • Butch

Getting rid of Obumma IS getting rid of the Banksters, creating jobs and helping the economy or maybe you’ve had yr head jammed in someplace dark and stinky for too long. Vote Ron Paul for TRUE change, a return to the Constitution.

      • Jeff

If you learn to spell people might take you seriously. At least 80% of the deficit portion you assign to Obama is directly due to the disastrous policies of George W. Bush. Nothing was paid for under Bush, but you right wingers never opened your mouths. Deficits don’t matter when a Republican is in the White House. The minute a Democrat gets elected you guys start screaming. Bush financed his pre-emptive wars with massive tax cuts. Has any leader, ever, done that? Since the days of Nero? Republicans have proven they are entirely fiscally irresponsible, morally bankrupt, and care only about tax cuts.

      • DaveH

Sure Jeff, and Bush’s legacy could not have occurred without Clinton paving the way. Liberals always have excuses. When do you guys accept responsibility for anything?
Also, if Obama and crew had wanted to roll back that Big Government Growth initiated by Bush, it would have been much easier to do than passing the Health Care Bill. But they didn’t.

      • Vigilant

“Bush financed his pre-emptive wars with massive tax cuts.”

Care to explain how “massive tax cuts” yield the sort of revenue you are talking about? You’re not only mathematically challenged, you have a piss poor grasp of economics.

      • vicky

a vote for Ron Paul is a vote for Obama. and beside he is weak on forein policy

      • eddie47d

The is so untrue Butch,”getting rid of Obama will get rid of the Banksters”. Republicans have done their best to repeal laws governing Banks and their Bankster allies. Weakening the laws created even greater havoc on our economy. Where did that job loss come from Butch? It that a part of your “stinky” selective memory.

        • Katrael

eddie47d, you may just barely be onto something about banks and Republicans as they are no different form Democrats and banks: there is no difference between party politicians as a whole; there may be a difference between individual ones though. It’s long been my contention that if you took all politicians, put them in a bag, shook them up, then dumped them out you couldn’t tell the difference between them. There may be a big difference between Obama and Paul but only because they represent the extremes of the political spectrum.

      • Bob Livingston

        Dear vicky,

You write: “a vote for Ron Paul is a vote for Obama. and beside (sic) he is weak on forein (sic) policy” Please describe for me your understanding of Ron Paul’s views on foreign policy.

        Best wishes,

      • Linda

Having the government create more jobs is not the answer. I worked in the government. Hated every minute of it. Talk about entitlement. I never saw so many people who thought they were entitled to a paycheck whether they did their jobs or not. So much wasteful spending it was unbelievable. I quit my job and moved. If people would really read what Obama is doing without anyone knowing they might think differently about this man. He is not for us. He is trying to ruin the US. You really think sharing the wealth is the way to go. I am middle class. Bigger government is not the way to go. We are going to have to have someone in there who is willing to make the hard decisions. We have to quit spending, get a balance budget and quit feeling sorry for people. The government was not put in place to take care of us. We are supposed to take care of ourselves. I really don’t even know how people can trust what Obama says. He is a dictator. Have you even really listened to what he says. He is a great liar.

Ron Paul is the one who should be in office. I do not want Romney but he would be better than Obama.

If people would only realize that Ron Paul does not participate in the health program or the retirement program and is not taking a bunch of money from big corporations. He is a person for the people.

Too many people in this country want the government to take care of them. Whether you want to believe it or not small businesses are what keep this country alive.

eric your a numb nutts===you talk about the american worker and support a man who gave GM billion to build 11 plants in china

      • eddie47d

First time I heard that Ed….. GM was given money to revive itself which it is doing. As far as building in China or any other country that is part of the Free Enterprise system that is well upon us. Few companies aren’t involved in International trade and go where the buyers are.

      • Vigilant

First time you heard that, eddie? Google “GM China jobs.”

I suppose you also laud Jeff Immelt’s expanding GE’s job exportation to overseas countries.

Regardless of Obama’s motives, he violated bankruptcy law big time to semi-nationalize GM. And they still owe the taxpayers over $30 billion. For my money, GM will not be on its feet until it pays back every red cent of that loan.

      • eddie47d

Okay Vigilant then maybe we as a nation should declare ANY company that moves into another country no longer a US company. Either have them change their name and/or be totally controlled by the countries laws/taxes where the majority of their business resides. Maybe that would help you clarify which corporation is a full fledged American company. Instead of this political posturing over Obama or even a Republican President. I wonder how many Corporations would fit that bill?

      • JeffH

Vigilant, of course you know eddie is a hypocrit. Isn’t eddie one of the ones who’s always railing on CEO’s and Corps. for taking their businesses overseas for pure greed?(cutting out the cost of unions)

        Go figure?

      • JeffH

Vigilant…I’ve always bought GM vehicles but I have to agree with you on this “For my money, GM will not be on its feet until it pays back every red cent of that loan”. I won’t buy GM bailout cars or trucks until they’ve paid back every red cent…and that includes not using TARP funds to pay their debt to the taxpayers.

      • Vigilant

JeffH, your comment about eddie “always railing on CEO’s and Corps. for taking their businesses overseas for pure greed” struck me exactly the same way when I saw it. We’ll have to hold his most recent “free enterprise” comment on file for future ammunition.

      • eddie47d

Either a true Capitalist believes in Free Trade or not. They will do business with any willing nation so which side of the fence will you be on tomorrow Vigilant and Jeff? I think you’ll be the ones who have to come up with some new ammunition yourself. Now Vigilant will you answer my scenario in my first comment to you or is it too daring for you. Where’s the hypocricy Jeff, Vigilant is doing the same dance as you always do. Yes there are a few CEO’s who should be in jail along with a few bankers but that is the system that get’s loved to death by you and the “free enterprise” boys. By the way GE is part of parcel of our Capitalist way of life whether you think “true Capitalism” is here or not. If that helps you with the answer I will soon receive. .

        • RichE

Capitalism and Free-Market aren’t the same thing. Capitalism is self-wealth.

      • JeffH

eddie says “GE is part of parcel of our Capitalist way of life”

eddie, the depth of your hypocrisy and ignorance never ceases to amaze.

GE is about as good an example of, and is the “poster child” for, crony-capitalism. Barack Hussein Obama and GE CEO Jeffrey Immelt represent the perfect crony-capitalist marriage. Obama even made Immelt a member of his Economic Advisory Recovery Board and then head of his Council on Jobs and Competitiveness.

You still can’t distinguish the difference because you’re just too ignorant to learn!

If GM is to continue to pay down what they own the taxpayer then building some cars in China to sell to the Chinese makes business sense. Slightly cheaper labor and far lower shipping costs. And JeffH a good American would buy GM products to help them repay their loans and support the American labor that builds cars here for us. Also one person on here said you had to be a conservative and a christian to be a patriot. If that is true I wouldn’t want to be part of such an exclusionary, narrow-minded group and being a liberal Atheist (which allows me to se things clearer and without a prejudice that negates me from accepting science and logic, plus I don’t have to live by an arbitrary ancient dogma that tries to limit my rights, choices, freedom and pursuit of happiness). Another person said Obama would win the election by a greater margin in Right wingers played fair (Totally True). The plethora of lies, msileading or totally bogus email that keep getting quoted and passed on about Obama is unprecidented, so much so that one of the factcheck, snopes websites had to devote a whole separate page to all of the false and debunked anti-Obama propoganda. He also predicted that Democrats would gain a senate seat in Indiana. I live in the most conservative county on the most conservative side of that county in the conservative state of Indiana and I hope that Lugar being beat out by the ULTRA – conservative extremist Mourdock will leave the door open for Zonservative to modertate Democrat Joe Donnelly to pick up votes of Independents who would fear the right wing extremism of Teabagger Mourdock.

        • Katrael

David A Deal, you said, “plus I don’t have to live by an arbitrary ancient dogma that tries to limit my rights, choices, freedom and pursuit of happiness)” That arbitrary ancient dogma doesn’t limit your right to engage in any activity you want. What it does say is that if you get caught doing those things, like having sex with other family members, a neighbors husband or wife, a dog, a cat, a pig, men with men and so on, then you should be put to death. Now which freedom listed above do engage in? That ancient dogma also gave us: do not bear false witness, do not steal, do not murder, innocent until proven guilty and a host of other good and useful laws that is meant to help protect you from evil or at the least to protect others from evil by stopping evil from repeating itself.

    • joanne

You are clueless!! As far as Walker is concerned…people there didn’t give the power to the dems after their walkout last year, and the last recall. Unions protested and sunk millions in…and for what!!!!
Now, they are seeing that Walker has not fired anyone, and he is making a difference to the taxpayers…not the thugs.
Obama, by the way is aiming to reduce us to banana republic status. Even Bill
Clinton spoke against Obamas taxing, and reducing our defense to levels during the Eisenhouer admin.
Last thing=I used to vote democrat…. and would never again..expecially with supposed leaders like king Obama, and his socialist czars,
      wake up..or don’t vote.

      • Jeff

Did you mean to sign off as “moron” or was that freudian? Who was the last Democrat you voted for? My guess is George Wallace.

      • ringgo1

Jeffie, that “moron” was for YOU.

      • eddie47d

Maybe we should go back to the military budget of the Eisenhower era Joanne. Think of all the wars we’d keep our noses out of and taxpayer money being saved. Most Presidents after Eisenhower went out of their way to create foreign animosity and encouraged those pesky and expensive wars.

    • Glenn

I am always amazed at how the left sheeple think and finally, I just read another. There is nothing coherent in Eric’s rant.
First, I guess there was never any crooked banksters arrested before Obama. Obama arrested the first crooked bankster, somehow. This is how the left thinks. Has anybody seen Obama do this? Maybe in Hollywood movies.

Second, has Obama created jobs? Not really. Millions have lost their job since he took office. Hi stimulus created a few temporary jobs and it cost more to create each job than a CEO makes. When Obama took over, 65% of the nation was working. Now only 63% of the nation is employed.

Third – Massive amounts of tv ads by the tea parties were lies? Did Eric mention that the unions were avoiding the verbage “forced dues” and “right to work” in their ads? Walker removed this and the unions didn’t want to talk about this forced layer of government on embattled union workers who were saved by Walker.

Fourth – Soros, Buffett, and Kochs made the fortunes from free enterprise and small government, Soros and Buffett would now like to shut the door on any new competition and keep the middle class the middle class, and the rich, rich.

Eric is part of the sheeple movement who chants, “Obama, Obama, Obama” and has most likely never had an original though in his life.

      • eddie47d

The thing is that neither party is gung ho about taking on the banksters and have fallen into the money trap. Yet most reform efforts by the Democrats have fallen on deaf ears by the neo-Republicans. To his credit the Reagan administration jailed several bank CEO’s and those who helped themselves to America’s money. Where is that courage today and the two parties working together to make them accountable. .

    • DaveH

Eric says — “But I guess that’s OK to run massive amounts of TV adds full of lies as long as it’s to defeat the left, the Unions, the Teachers, Firefighters and Police. Screw the workers America, screw the middle class, how dare they try and organize and demand democracy”.
So much misinformation in just two sentences.
Unions only represent a small portion of American workers. Every advantage Unionists win with their coercive anti-freedom anti-moral methods must come off the rest of the American workers’ backs. Where else? Apparently Eric still thinks money grows on trees.
The middle class, which Eric feigns concern for, are the victims of his advocated Progressive Governments. With Free Markets, which we haven’t had since Eric’s Progressives started infiltrating our Government over 100 years ago, the people could work the jobs of their choices. They could start the businesses of their choice constrained only by public demand for their products or services, rather than having to hurdle the anti-competitive roadblocks set up by the Progressive Big Government Leaders and their Crony Capitalists. People would be constrained only by their own lack of ambition or the lack of demand by other voluntary market participants of their products or services.
Eric could learn what Free Markets are really all about, but it’s doubtful that he would want to because most likely he is benefiting from Big Government and doesn’t really care about the “middle class” like he says he does.
How can anybody be expected to believe Progressives? I mean, if they can help themselves to other peoples’ money and force their chosen agendas on unwilling people through their Leviathan Government without pangs of conscience, lying must come easy to them.
For those who want to learn some reality about Free Markets:

    • joe1cr

Eric sounds like you are either a proud S.E.I.U union member or one of the Occupy Wall St. crowd wanting your free entitlements that you were
promised by all this hope and change socialist bullsheit. Grow up, get out of Moms basement and go earn your living.

    • Gary L

Eric, It is obvious to most of us here that you have your own Koolaid or some other concoction that has affect or perhaps infect your mind. Until we can get rid of Obama, these problems wont be fixed. It is amazing to me how sheeple will still follow and support this incompetent stooge.

      • moonbeam

I don’t get it either Gary. Evidence against the big O mounts like a huge pile of rotten stinking cow chips and still some people just refuse to take their blinders off. He’s literally pissing on our shoes while telling us it’s just rain.

      • Jeff

I never ceased to be amazed by the chutzpah on the right. After 8 years of disaster in the name of George W.Bush, you guys can’t wait to go back to those idiotic policies responsible for the vast majority of the debt you like to blame on Obama. Nothing was paid for under Bush! Bush cut taxes to finance pre-emptive, destructive wars. Now,you blame Obama because the recovery hasn’t been fast enough. Republicans do not care about deficits – except when a Democrat is president. As David Stockman pointed out some 30 years ago, the deficit argument is nothing but a trojan horse for the real agenda – tax cuts.

      • eddie47d

Since the Libertarians champion Ron Paul can now only make waves most of those on the right are showing their true colors and are bending over backwards for Mitt Romney. Those on the right are abandoning Paul’s ship in droves and sailing towards the mermaid of Romney’s campaign. I hear mermaids have been known to cause ships to crash against the rocks with their mesmerizing calls.

      • JeffH

eddie says, and I’m LMAO as I’m typing this, “I hear mermaids have been known to cause ships to crash against the rocks with their mesmerizing calls.”

…and parrots like eddie have been known to get wet tingles up and down their legs when they hear their own mesmerising calls of baaarrraaaccckkk, baaarrraaacckkk!

    • DaveH

And then, in a fit of irony, Eric ends his misinforming comment with this statement — “I can only pray that you can wake up and recover from your high fructose corn syrup induced comas and brain damage!”.
Why do we have corn syrup in our processed products instead of sugar? Because Eric’s Progressives have set up regulatory roadblocks to favor politically-connected American Sugar Producers. Those regulatory roadblocks serve to stifle competition from non-politically-connected sugar producers. As a result, our sugar prices are much higher than they would be without the Government Meddling, so soft-drinks and other products must use corn syrup and other sweeteners to be competitive in the marketplace. If you want real sugar in your soft drinks, you need to go to Mexico or some other place outside of the US.
      Some reason:

      • wolf

the reason fructose is used is that it’s always any case it’s always cheaper to produce domestic corn than domestic you want to import foreign goods and put farmers out of work? for a couple cents a can they could use sugar – but – a penny is a penny.profit over all.

      • DaveH

Did you read the article? Obviously not.

    • BT

Eric comments have to be satire!! The only other way to explain it is he is brainwashed or he lost his brain. The evidence is so compelling everywhere you look!!! Obama comments openly as a racist, stops American Holidays and implements Muslim Holidays, Cannot accurately place his right hand over his heart during the pledge he uses his left, admitted attending a Church with a Radical that hates America and white people, Said he wants to spread other Americans wealth around but he dosen’t spread his own to his own brother, threatens our Supreme Court Justices as if he is the Supreme one, has set the record on spending huge amounts of Americans money on the most lashish vacations a President and his wife separately have ever taken in the history of the country, wants to force many Americans to pay for healthcare whether they want it or not, he wants to tell us what we can and cannot eat while he smokes, he wants to spend more of our tax dollars while at the same time set spending records in the country especially in sending record amounts to other countries, has a wife for the first time in her life is proud of the US, he promised SHOVE READY JOBS- ahuge lie among so many lies I don’t have room to write them all.

      • Jeff

Pretend you are a prosecutor and that the items you list are crimes. Could you gather actual evidence (not invective) to prove any of them? I think not.

    • Capitalist at Birth

Blah, blah, blah, blah. What did you mean, Eric?

    • Ted Crawford

WOWE Eric! What a hugh tirate of far left vitriol, Comrade Alinsky would be very proud of you.
I find it interesting that you find fault with the Koch brothers association with Russia, yet totally ignore the fact that George Soros began his rise to wealth by aiding the Nazis to steal from, torture and kill his own neighbors and countryman!
With regards to the Unions that Walker is dealing with, they are Public Sector Unions. Here is what one of the strongest supporters of Private sector Unions and working people in general had to say about Public Sector Unions- ” All Government employees should realize that the process of collective bargaining, as usually understood, cannot be transplanted into the Public Service. It has it’s distinct and insurmountable limitations when applied to public personnel management ” Franklin Roosevelt

    • alex

you keep talking about the lies republicans tell ,how would you know, i have never heard a democrat speak that could tell the difference between a lie and the truth and most of them would rather lie than be right

    • Vigilant

Eric the Red has outed himself once again, with the comment, “So go on and sell us on all your libertarian, free market and small government lies.”

If you believe them to be lies, then you, by default, identify yourself as a statist, anti-Capitalism, anti-Constitution fool.

But, then again, anyone who believes Howard Zinn’s version of American history has an IQ in the lower quartile of the Bell Curve anyway.

      • Vigilant

BTW Eric, I see your icon has been removed. Thinking of replacing it with a hammer and sickle?

      • Average Joe

“But, then again, anyone who believes Howard Zinn’s version of American history has an IQ in the lower quartile of the Bell Curve anyway.”

Therein lies Eric’s problem…no curve at all…”flatlined” from birth. No intelligence has been added since……and he is fighting ferociously to keep it that way…..don’t rock the boat…. ;)

      • Vigilant

        Excellent comment, AJ. Truce?

      • Average Joe

Truce? I was never at war with you. We just view the Constitution a bit differently and that’s OK. I think we were both trying too hard to get our points across and frustration set in…it happens. For the most part we agree on issues…but…people don’t usually agree on everything…I accept it and move on. No hard feelings from me…In the future…when we disagree….we can just agree to disagree…and let everyone else wonder…heh…

        Truce?…You betcha!

    • eric

mr eric; well big spender, did you pay attention in economics? you argue for big government and bigger taxes and more spending, yet we have enlarged our government until it has become a parasite on the american economy that is killing it. history has shown that government spending in excess of 16 -17% of gdp destroys the economy through excessive taxation and distortion of a healthy economy.

we have now exceeded 20% and this, supposedly highly educated genius, wants to grow the parasite even further. do they not teach Macro economics where he came from or is it only the working class that needs to concern themselves with such things?

    • David A Deal

Good job Eric and I like Karolyn too. Especially nice to see intelligent liberal leaning women comment. Most women, especially liberal leaning usually don’t like to talk politics because they are usually some of the nicest people and avoid unnecessary confrontation. The hard right conservative women though now they have anger issues and control issues.,Frustrated because their men control them but subservient enough to tow the line. What a tightrope walk that must be. This site is mostly a dumping ground for Obama haters’ Liberal haters, homophobes, bigots and conspiracy chasers who beleive all the chain emails about Obama without ever looking on Snopes, Hoax or any of those sites which work hard to find the truth (and their integrity and accuracy are what keeps them in business) in almost every case debunk the totally made up garbage. Reagan, Bush tax and war policies have created most of our debt along with the accumulating interest. If Obama gets help in the election this fall against the party of NO and can get a proper tax policy in place, less taxes on the lower/middle class who are the job creators with their purchasing power and Clinton type 41% taxes on wealthy while reducing our military spending it won’t take much fat trimming to start paying down the debt. Washington said, “In times of peace it is essential to pay down or pay off debt”. He knew war was expensive and would put us in debt and we will never get out of debt without peace and sane tax policies to restore our revenues.

    • Void1972

Your brother comrade had four years to “create jobs, arrest crooked banksters and help the economy” yet more jobs were lost, the crooked banksters are funding the obamanation and the economy is in shambles!

You whine about a governor race where the union communist are supporting another one of your comrades, but the obamanation is supported with over a billion dollars from the most corrupt scum of our society!

You should really take your BS to Russia, I understand Putin is looking for another million “useful idiots” like yourself!

You might be appreciated in an environment where your demented thoughts are considered “progressive” and mentally unstable freaks are normal!

God bless America and those who fight for her!!!!

  • Warrior

Let’s put this in perspective. if this country did not have “rats” among us, we would get out of bed and go to work and “produce” something of “value” and we would be satisfied. On the other hand, imagine if we were not here, the “rats” would get out of bed and immediately go into a panic because there would be nobody there to “support” them.

Go get em chucky schumer, you fricken bozo.

    • MAP

      Underlining your comment Warrior:

The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not. – Thomas Jefferson

Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide. – John Adams (1814)

In matters of Power, let no more be heard of confidence in men, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution. – Thomas Jefferson

When the government fears the people, it is liberty. When the people fear the government, it is tyranny. – Thomas Paine

Resistance to tyranny is service to God. – James Madison

A filing fee of $2500 is a lot of money for a prison inmate. He may have had the backing of the Koch brothers, Reminds me of Wisconsin where they had Republicans running as Democrats trying to to defraud the voters.

    • Michael J.

$2,500.00 is a lot of money. How many of your government checks would it take for you to accumulate such a sum?

    • Steve E

It use to be Bush’s fault, now its the Koch brothers’ fault. Is that the new fad now?

      • ringgo1

Nah. It’s STILL Bush’s fault. Poja just had to post something…

      • eddie47d

The right blames everything on Soros (which isn’t factual) so what is the difference?

      • JeffH

eddie, ignorance abounds with your every word and generalizations…”The right blames everything on Soros”

Everything? Naw, he just spends a lot of his millions on propaganda and indoctrinations keeping people like yourself stupid. ROFLMAO!

    • joe1cr

The Koch brothers have the same rights as George Soros, the Public Unions and Democrats who are defrauding their fellow tax payers of their hard earn money.

    • DaveH

Yeah, Jopa, and you may be, NO, you ARE a misinforming Liberal.
Here’s some reality to replace Jopa’s conjecture:

    • alex

as long as you remember that half the people that carry an R after their name are democrat because so many communist took over the democrat party that the members moved to the republican party but they are still democrats

      • eddie47d

The Klan abandoned the Democrat Party in droves also. Once they couldn’t practice their evil ways they joined the Republican Party. Did you throw them a welcoming shindig? .

      • JeffH

Again, eddie’s obsession with “the Klan” is entered into his irrelevant comment.

      • Libertytrain

Jeff, I suspect he still has some sort of guilt attached to all those democratic klansman – so he’s trying to assign guilt to the “other” side.

      • Michael J.

For a while it seemed as though you were in remisssion. However, here lately it seems as if progressiveness has re-aquired it’s grip on you. Consult your physician to see if reassessing your meds is indicated.

    • Ted Crawford

The source of the funds, as long as they were legal and properly submitted, is relatively unimportant when compared with the fact that 41% of the people of West Virginia felt they would be better represented by an extortionist than Obama! Nice attempted spin though.

      • ringgo1

        Good post, Ted.

  • dan

I don’t know who I’m lovin’ on more right now…Hoosiers or West (By -God)Virginians.

  • Ray

Chip– I’m happy for you because you took a lie and tried to make it the truth. I hope you found joy in your lie. Just don’t take it too hard when you realize no one believes your analogy, and Obama will be re-elected easily in November. Bye Chip– enjoy your moment!

    • Michael J.

      Ray says;

“and Obama will be re-elected easily in November”

Right, but if you’re wrong, you may have be weined from the government teet, and get a real job.

      • Karolyn

Really! Just who do you think you are, Michael? Well, obviously, you’re just another person who can’t stand anyone with an opposing view (like so many conservatives here); otherwise why the need for such venomous remarks?

      • Michael J.

I have observed that nearly 100% of the current illegal regimes advocates have a stake in his sucessful re-election. Including you, Miss Pel Grant recipient.

      • Karolyn

You know what Mchael? It doesn’t matter to me whether I get another Pell grant or not. That, and any other assistance I have received in my life has no impact on my political views. Why this insistence on believing that people only support politicians who they will get something out of? I have not even said I will vote for Obama. However, when November comes, seeing where Ron Paul is in all of this, if the only choice is between Romney and Obama, I will have to vote for Obama. And that’s not to say my view won’t change because, after all, I am a thinking person; and the reason I frequent this blog is for information and education.

      • Paul B.

Karolyn… since when is it venemous to tell someone to go out and get a job?!?!?! Is work the new 4-letter word of the left???

      • DaveH

I thought Michael’s comment was rather funny, Karolyn. But I can see how somebody who works for Government might be offended.

      • Karolyn

Paul – My point (obvious to anyone following what Michael has written) is to me it is venomous to infer that anyone backing Obama is somehow the recipient of government handouts and that is the only reason they back him. Yes, I have been the recipient of assistance, but that is not what I judge politicians on. It has no bearing whatsoever. I have also worked since I was 17 = 48 years. Michael does not attack the message but attacks the messenger too often.

      • Michael J.

        Karolyn says,

“I will have to vote for Obama”

The prosecution rests, your Honor. Witness may step down.

      • Karolyn

Dave – I do not “work” for the government. I am a volunteer who receives a small living expense; and you will be oh-so-happy to know that I will no longer be in that position after June 30. (Of my own volition even if they get the grant again.) I want to make some “real” money.

      • DaveH

Karolyn says — “Yes, I have been the recipient of assistance, but that is not what I judge politicians on. It has no bearing whatsoever”.
Perhaps that’s true, Karolyn, but highly unlikely. Not too many people will bite the hand that they perceive to be providing their food.

      • Average Joe

        “Really! Just who do you think you are, Michael? Well, obviously, you’re just another person who can’t stand anyone with an opposing view (like so many conservatives here);

Are you not doing (with this remark)..the same thing you are accusing someone else of doing? Do as I say and not as I do?
While it seems to be ok for you to express your opposing views…you have the audacity to criticize someone else’s opposing views? It matters not what their views are …or how they express them….if you don’t like them…simply disagree with them…and move on…believe it or not…you don’t even have to aknowlege that they were written…you can choose to simply ignore them, without comment….thereby giving no credence to their comments.
In the future, engage brain…before engaging in conversation.
If you are in the right, I will defend you..if you are not in the right, I cannot in good conscience..defend you….in this case…I cannot defend you.
        Respectfully, AJ

      • ringgo1

I’ve read your posts for some time now & it is obvious you are one of the (not so) famous progressive libtards who profess wisdom, but in reality don’t know the difference between “come here” and “sic ‘em”. Take a good look at yourself, if you dare.

    • GiveMeLiberty

Hey RAY…Go AWAY and don’t come out another DAY!

    • Butch

Obumma will be easily re-elected in November??? LMAO!!! Why? because people are afraid that their welfare checks will stop coming in? I’m a lifelong democrat and I will NEVER vote democrat ever again. Ron Paul for REAL change and a return to the Constitution.

      • MikeC711

The only reason people like Ron Paul is because he will get us out of the wars BHO promised to get us out of, he will not start new wars as BHO has done, and he will bring us back to the constitution. If you are in the entitlement class or the warMonger class (and sadly, plenty in both parties belong to both classes), then you will not like Ron Paul. For those of us who work hard for a living, RP is the only answer.

      • Steve E

Mike, I Ron Paul were elected, you would not need welfare because Paul will lift burdensome regulations that stifle job growth. He will create so many jobs that no one will need welfare. Anyone then who does not want to work because they would rather be on welfare can just starve.

      • DaveH

Correction. Ron Paul will not create jobs. He will get Government out of the way, so that the real job creators, the private sector, can create those jobs.

      • Capitalist at Birth

A vote for Ron Paul is a vote for Obama. Get it?

        • Bob Livingston

          Dear Capitalist at Birth,

Your logic is flawed. A vote for Ron Paul is a vote for Ron Paul, just as a vote for Romney is a vote for Romney. The reasons a person uses to justify his vote for Paul are just as valid as the reasons a person uses to justify his vote for Romney. It is Romney’s job to convince enough Americans in each State that his plan for the next four years is the best one. With the help of GOP propaganda, a complicit mainstream media and the deep pockets of a bunch of bankster criminals, he has thus far succeeded in convincing enough Republican sheeple that he’s their only hope. But the GOP sees they are losing their grip on the flow of information and they quake in their boots. Look at Ron Paul’s supporters and view the future of the Republican Party.

          Best wishes,

      • Michael J.

        Capitalist at birth,
A vote for Romney or Obama is a vote for the Rothschild Dynasty, Get It???

      • Nancy in Nebraska

I agree with Michael J. And when the election is over, regardless of whether romney or obummer wins and nothing gets better, only gets worse, you will know that it’s your fault because you DIDN’T vote for Ron Paul! There is NO difference between romney and obummer!

    • Joe

Ray, do you really believe the things you say ? How much do you not understand about what is going on around you in real life ? It is unbelievable that so many of “You” have drank the kool-aid, as Hilter’s followers did, and that really turned out just fine, didn’t it.
      “In God We Trust”

  • Greg

The failure in the White House still has about 42% support. This should scare anyone. The people who want Obama out are motivated.

    • DaveH

Motivated by their lust for other peoples’ money.

      • Average Joe

oops? Unless I am mistaken….Re-read that last line,
“The people who want Obama… out… are motivated.”
At first glance I misread it…then I read it again…and noticed the word “out” and rethought my first reaction.
        Respectfully, AJ

      • DaveH

Yeah, I missed the “out”, Joe. Of course I was referring to those who support Obama.

      • Average Joe

I only mentioned it because you are usually not one to miss things….and I had the same reaction on the first read…and started to comment…but while commenting…I re-read it and went…oops….lol

  • Jameson Gardner

If you really think that gay marriage and coal mining are going to keep one of the nation’s most popular presidents from being reelected then you are living in fantasy land. Grow up…get a clue…and stop posting nonsense.

    • Michael J.
    • Butch

Jameson, you WOULD know what nonsense is, you just posted some in the form of “one of the most popular presidents ever” LMAO!!!! Thats why HR347 was passed so they could arrest anyone that protests him where he goes, repealing the 1st amendment which GUARANTEES the Freedom of Assembly. I voted for the Fraud-in-Chief and hes turned me from a lifelong democrat to a Ron Paul supporter. I’ll never vote for the “lesser” of two evils EVER again.

      • don

i’d love to see ron paul win it all on a write in ballot. the hell of it is the only choice is rep or dem, all backed by big banks and business. check out the “obama deception” online. check out “alex jones info wars” online. they sell the obama deception but it can be seen online for free. he also sells lots of other dvds. in the beginning of the obama deception it talks about who chooses out presidents. they had a peice on john kennedy who wanted to eliminate the federal reserrve. i believe they were the ones who had him assinated. 9i9 don’t think it was the mafia or the communists as was brought up in the warren report investigation. so many lies and half truths nowadays and voters are all fooled by the beauty padgent styled elections.

      • DaveH

        Kudos to you, Butch.

      • Pritty Brains

You forget one very crucial and significant thing, Butch… HR-347 was initially passed some 40 odd years ago. Way back in 1971 under Nixon.

Obama did not create and pass this law. It was already in existence.

Congress made a small change in wording to be more specific in what restricted federal buildings and surroundings were to be and removed one word, which really didn’t change the meaning much at all from its original intentions. And then Obama signed those changes in.

You are making it sound as though Obama thought this law up all my his lonesome one dark and stormy night, decided to put it before Congress with a gun to their collective head, who then voted it in as law for Obama to sign without notification to the American people and this is not what happened at all.

There was no notification because the law already existed and the changes were so insignicant in that they would not impact the country anymore than the law already did.

I reiterate, Obama did not create this law. It already existed as it was passed back in 1971 under Nixon. So, if you have an accusation to make, point your fingers to Nixon, a republican.

Oh and this info is easy to find, just google it… which you should have done before you made your inaccurate accusations.

    • clgatwork

Don’t you mean teh country’s WORST president ever!!!

  • Clarence

Ray, what planet are you living on? A lie? Here is a link to the official West Virginia results. Please not that in the Democratic primary, Keith Judd had 40.63% of the vote. I guess West Virginia is now lying, too?

  • Glenn

You forgot the democrat challenger in Arkansas is only 7 points behind Obama. What if Obama loses Arkansas?

    • nc

Glenn, no modern president has won all of the States! It’s a matter of getting the “right combination.” Obama may not win this time but the one thing that gives me hope is that the 69 milion who voted for him MAY not want to change their vote and end up with “bush lite” Romney!! BEEN THERE-DONE THAT! and it was not pretty sight with the wrong wars, a busted economy and millions losing their jobs and houses!!

      • DaveH

The “wrong wars”? That’s funny, NC, you should be a stand-up comedian.
So what on that list of yours has changed since Obama took office?

      • DaveH

Total non-farm Employment when Obama took office (Jan 2009) — 133.5 million.
        Total non-farm Employment now — 133.0 million.
Duh, by my calculations that’s 500,000 fewer jobs.

      • Bob Livingston

        Dear nc,

You write: “Glenn, no modern president has won all of the States!” As usual, your information is flawed:
1972 GOP nomination race, Nixon carried all 50 States
1984 GOP nomination race, Reagan carried all 50 States
2004 GOP nomination race, Bush carried all 50 States

        Best wishes,

    • Backgammon

Obama did not win Arkansas in 08 and is less electable in 12.

  • Paul Somers

Among the couples my (female) wife and I have as friends, one couple which has been together among the longest is gay. That they are not allowed to be married is insane and I think immoral. What’s really at stake here is the belief in the literal inerrancy of the millennia-old Bible. Now that’s REALLY insane!

    • Michael J.

      Paul Somers,
No, what is really at stake here are the mandates of Political Correctness foistered upon western society by Marx and Engels in the hopes of destroying it. Do some research.

    • shopkins0220

It is only insane to non-believers. If gays want to be together then do it, but you can’t ask Christians to compromise their beliefs for your opinions. Marriage was established by God to be between one man and one woman for the purpose of procreating and relationship to Him. If you don’t respect Christianity or the bible, why do you want to enter into something that was mandated by God? Feel free to make up your own rules for being together just don’t call it marriage.

      • Karolyn

Well, duh, not everyone believes as you do. Should their beliefs just be negated and ignored?

      • Average Joe

“Feel free to make up your own rules for being together just don’t call it marriage.”

I must respectfully disagree. I say let them call it marriage if they choose to do so. I prefer to be bound in Holy Matrimony…rather than marriage.
Holy Matrimony is ordained by God, whereas Marriage…is simply…. ordained by man.

        I’ll take God’s blessings over man’s blessings…any day of the week….just sayin’

        • Katrael

Average Joe, thanks for your comment about the differences between a marriage and matrimony as it made me look up the meaning of the words in a dictionary. I’m a proponent of understanding the meaning of the words we speak and their origins(etymology). I have to agree with you. The bigger problem: most people don’t understand what the real meaning of the word marriage is and they believe that marriages are endorsed by YHWH(god) when what YHWH(god) endorses is the union between a husband(man) and a wife(woman) and that is matrimony and not necessarily a marriage(a union between a man and a man or a woman and a woman) endorsed by the laws of man. Very good.

      • Karolyn

        Joe – Very good suggestion!

      • Nancy in Nebraska

Marriage IS the union of a man and a woman! It is what it is! You can try to change the definition of the word as liberals are so fond of doing but it won’t change the FACT that marriage IS the union of a man and a woman! Everyone has the right to enter into marriage but you can’t change what it IS! If people choose to live in sin that is their choice but you cannot force other people to accept that sin isn’t sin! The morals and values in this country are going down the toilet because people are accepting things that are abnormal and sinful as OK. As soon as this is accepted as normal NAMBLA will be insisting that we accept love and marriage between men and boys. After that it will be the rest of the pedophiles and people who practice beastiality. They will all insist upon “equal rights”. There will be no end! Every depraved individual will demand to be accepted! GOD created man and woman! There was a reason for that. He meant for them to be together. Marriage IS the union between one man and one woman! Even if they make “gay marriage” legal, it will be a sham and a lie! It will never be real. Marriage IS what it IS and you can’t change that!

        • RichE

Don’t stop Nancy it was just getting interesting. What comes after beastiality?

      • Michael J.

I personally do not care what adults do behind closed doors to engage in acts of perversion that ultimately gain them only ridicule, scorn and hideous diseases.

But people and homosexuals, as well as the other list of minorities hood winked by the false prophecies mandated by Marx and Engels Political Correctness lie should know that their agenda was not that of care, compassion, tolerance or sensitivity for anyone, but instead was designed to disintegrate the family, create chaos and rifts in western society capitalism that would end in it’s demise so that socialism and then communism could be ushered in, in it’s stead.

America today is in the throws of the greatest and most dire transformation in its history. We are becoming an extreme left ideological state, a country with an official state ideology enforced by the power of the state. In so called “hate crimes” we now have people serving jail sentences for committing thought crimes. And the Congress is now moving to expand that category ever further. Affirmative action is part of it. The terror against anyone who dissents from Political Correctness on campus is part of it.

It’s exactly what we have seen happen in Russia, in Germany, in Italy, in China, and now it’s coming here. And we don’t recognize it because we call it Political Correctness and laugh it off. My message is that it’s not funny, it’s here, it’s growing and it will eventually destroy America as we have known her and loved her by robbing us of our freedoms, neutering our culture and rewriting our history.

      • nc

Shop, Did your God create all people? Including homosexuals? Why? You don’t know????? Me neither!!!
Since Jesus never mentioned homosexuals how do you know it is “disrespectful of Jesus” to want them to be treated as equals in todays society???Jesus had more to say about the wrong in the accumulation of “earths treasures” (wealth) and the plight of the poor than homoseuality!! That ain’t good for the Republican platform!!

        • Katrael

Goood evenning, nc. Well, since Jesus is supposed to be the god of the OT then this is what he had to say about homosexuals:

Lev 20:8 And ye shall keep my statutes, and do them: I am YHWH which sanctify you.

Lev 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

Sounds like he didn’t like it then and since he’s unchanging he doesn’t like it now. There is a whole list of sexual practices and he says that society should execute people who practice those things and since you now have the book and beginning verses you can go there and read them for yourself. You need an education. Just thought you’d like to know.

    • Butch

You have NO CLUE what morals are, if you did, you’d know that gay marriage is an abomination. Who cares how old the Bible is, and it IS inerrant whereas secular scientists have to rewrite their bigoted theory of evilution repeatedly and we are assured that “this time they got it right”. Thats not true science, true science uses the scientific method where countless experiments are performed yielding the SAME results. Thats how we find scientific LAWS. Since the myth of evilution is rewritten repeatedly, its invalid. Can you imagine a scientific article saying “Breaking News: electrons no longer have negative charges!!” It will never happen.

      • nc

Butch, “Evilution” keeps putting those billion year old bones in a 6000 years old earth! It just screws up the “begats” in the Bible because there are not enough of them “begats”to get from Adam and Eve to Jesus if those folks in the Bible “begat” like we folks today”begat”!! I do wish “evilution” would stop that and just go away! It’s confusing our children and just think of the money we have wasted on those old science books! Yeah, right!!!

    • Robert Robbins

      • Average Joe

        I always suspected O didn’t get those round lips….from eating square meals….

    • Steve E

Paul, tell you gay friends to stop being Sodomites and marry someone of the opposite sex. That will fix their problem.

    • Ladyhawke

Sorry Paul, but it is your “gay couple” friends who are the immoral ones. Besides, they don’t need to be married to be together anymore than any other couple does. Why would they want to pay the marriage tax penalty at tax time anyway?

    • DaveH

Personally I can’t understand why anybody would legally entangle themselves except to protect their children in the case of a split-up. But why does anybody care if the gays wish to do so? That condition is the least of our problems. Our real problems come from those who wish to help themselves to the legally acquired wealth of others, and those who wish to gain wealth, not by pleasing consumers, but by pleasing their Crony Politicians. The right-wingers compromise that effort by getting sidetracked on unimportant minutiae.
That’s the problem with our current Society. We have equal and opposing groups each wanting to take Freedom or Money or something else away from the other group. Isn’t it time we all start embracing real Freedom? If we can’t tolerate the Free Choices of others, how can we expect them to tolerate our Free Choices?

    • Karolyn

Nancy – What MATTERS is that it is real to the people entering into it . And, please, don’t bring up the old pedophilia, bestiality, etc. argument. There is no consent between to adults in those types of behaviors.

      • Nancy in Nebraska

Clinton signed the un treaty, the convention for the rights of the child. obummer is determined to get it ratified. It will give children the right to make their own decisions. So if that happens it won’t necessarily be between two consenting adults. And I don’t care what you say we will continue to slide into depravity as EVERYONE demands to be accepted and recognized.

      • One-Angel

In Mexico, the “age of consent” is ten years of age.

      • Karolyn

        You are wrong One-Angel:
“In Mexico, criminal legislation is shared between the federal and state governments. The federal law establishes the age of 12 as the minimum age of consent, while the age at which there are no restrictions for consensual sexual activities is 18 (sex with someone 12-18 is not illegal per se, but can still be open to prosecution under certain circumstances). Local state laws may override the federal law. In practice, the decision as to whether or not to prosecute is left to state authorities regardless of the younger person’s age. At state level, the minimum ages of consent vary between 12 (and puberty in a few states) and 15, while the age at which there are no restrictions for consensual sexual activities vary from 16 to 18 (most common 18).

Well, I wonder how many of Barack Obama supporters will be going out and get their Marriage license since Obama has said he supports same sex marriage. Why didn’t he mention this before the last election? Obama is a fraud, has always been, and will continue to be a fraud. He lied to the American people and enough of the fools fell for it to get him elected. To those of you who voted for Obama, he fooled you once, don’t allow it to happen again. Ask yourself one simple question. Are you better off today than you were 4 years ago?

He was willing to talk about the deficit rather than answer that question!

      • One-Angel

Of course, Ted. He got wind that he is pissin off a lot of God-fearing, God-loving, America-loving, moral and intelligent Black-American, Church-going voters!

  • Airangel

Not to mention, Deb Fischer wins Nebraska GOP primary beating the GOP “establishment” pick of Rich Galen. One state at a time to get real patriots in office and not Dino/Rino. Both have destroyed this country because they’re sell outs for profit and greed! We need people of character, honor and valor protecting the citizens and sovereignty. I think Bobby Jindal would make a great VP. He always balances his budget and doesn’t raise taxes because he spends responsibly

    • Nancy in Nebraska

Airangel, I voted for Deb Fisher. The establishment’s candidate was Jon Bruning. There was no Galen. The final election will be between Deb Fisher and John Kerry, the democrat. John Kerry is a Vietnam Nam vet. He was once governor and was once our senator. After that he left Nebraska and moved to New York to be the president of a university. He remarried and had another kid while there. He got fired from his job. The outgoing senator is democrat ben nelson. He cast the final vote for obamacare and Nebraskans hate him for it. He can’t even go out in public without people cussing him out. He is smart enough not to run again because there is NO way he’d get re-elected. The democrats in the senate are desperate to keep the seat so they talked Kerry into running, thinking we’d all love our home town hero. But he hasn’t even lived here for more than ten years. He’s a liberal New Yorker. He had to be a registered voter to run so he came to town on the last day you could file and registered to vote, saying he lived at his sister’s house, which was a total lie. He didn’t even spend the night at her house. He stayed in a hotel. The next day, a friend offered him the use of a house and he changed his voter registration. He has no intention of moving his family here or living here but claims residency. The republican party challenged his residency but the judge said it was legal. I don’t know how many people will be suckered into voting for him. But I hope they won’t. As far as I’m concerned he is no longer a Nebraskan and doesnt represent us. He represents the democrat party.

  • Chuck

Listen to main stream media and Obama has all but sewn up his next 4 years. Listen to Fox and others and he is history. I sure hope that he is history and it won’t look at him kindly. Have no fear my fellow no more of Obama voters. Before the election thigns are going to transpire in this country that will make the last 3 years look like a bed of roses. I can see the stock market collapsing ( like at Europe now) riots in the streets (again Europe)
an almost complete collapse of our financial system (the dollar will no longer be the currancy of choice ( watch what Iran does in the next 6 months). All this will be the death of Obamas campaign. However, it will also be very rough times for all of us in these great Unites States. But like the great Depression we Americans will survive and come back stronger than ever. God Have Mercy on and Bless The United States of America.

    • Larry

Aman to that. Although, I am black, basically always have considered myself to be of the Democratic persuasion, and tried to follow insight derived through my seances when it came to making decisions and taking action. I did not vote for Obama the last time around because I suspected that it would be bad for America as well as myself. Things turned out to be about ten times worse than I foresaw. Another four years of Obama will be extremely disastrous indeed. Romney will prove to be no better at the job. It is high time for a tweaking of the dysfunctional for of government that we are saddled with. Both of the so-called parties have basically became the same in essence. Some legitimate average and sensible persons need to take on the task of governing this country of ours. The ones that are doing so now are doing a p!$$ poor job of it. They are bent on looking out for and, helping, themselves only. We need to demand and force the system to change now.
      Semper Fi do or die.

    • Nancy in Nebraska

If the economy collapses before the elections there’s a good chance that we will have martial law and the elections could be suspended. I wouldn’t put it past obummer to try and suspend the elections especially if he thinks he or the democrats in the senate are going to lose.

  • Mike

PLEASE can anyone tell me one thing Obama has done to help our country? I am being serious here and please don’t tell me he lowered the price of a bucket at KFC.

    • Alex

What has President Obama done in the first of his two terms? Understand that, like the people on the Right, the people on the Left have been greatly disappointed by a number of his failings, though certainly not with the hysterical shrieking over EVERY SINGLE thing he or the First Lady say or do found so often here. Still and all, he will definitely get my vote for a second term. The thought of the alternative is, well…..I just don’t even want to think about that right now…

So, what has President Obama done? Well, unlike Bush, Obama did not give up on Osama bin Laden and put his presidential legacy at risk. Had our mercenary Seals been blown to bits, the Reich Wing would have crucified him. To the conservatives, whatever the outcome of bin Laden and Al Qaeda, Obama would have been wrong.

Remember, after ignoring detailed intelligence and thus allowing 911 to unfold as it did, the Bush/Cheney regime promised to get bin Laden if they had to “search every hole” in Afghanistan. When that proved too difficult (and inconvenient) for them—serendipity— they instead tossed 5000+ of our children into a mass grave in Iraq. Though Iraq had nothing to do with the horrors of 911, Bush was able to commence a war woven from whole cloth LONG BEFORE 911 and meant to benefit Haliburton, Bechtel, and Blackwater.
As he promised to do, he has (for the most part) ended that war that has killed so many people and tanked our economy. (One thing Fright Wingers never mention is that Bush was able to keep both of the wars he started OFF the books, knowing the bill would not come due until long after he slunk back to Texass. THIS is the true nature of our current economic straits)

So—bin Laden DEAD and Al Qaeda IN TATTERS. Many terrorist attacks stopped, except for those supported by the National Rifle Association, which happen about every five or four days now.

His administration saw to the end of the “Don’t Ask; Don’t Tell” strictures our mercenary military operated under.

He has worked hard to right the Ship of State while enduring far more fillibustering of bills he wanted than any president I can think of. remember, the GOP leaders said on Inauguration Day that the most important thing to them—not protecting Americans from terror, not rebuilding the economy, not tethering rabid Wall Street, not helping struggling American familes—the ONLY thing important to them was to insure that Obama would become a one term president. The GOP has NO INCENTIVE to help the country if they think that the people are stupid enough to think that it is all Obama’s doing. Believe me, most Americans ARE really stupid, but hopefully they will be able to see throughthe Fright Wing obstructionist tactics.

Again, Obama is a great disappointment to me and I only hope he will be stronger in his second term.

      • DaveH

Only one small problem. We have absolutely no proof that the man they killed was Osama. Most likely it was just another false flag event that Leaders throughout history have employed to keep the rings in peoples’ noses:

      • Patricia Weidl

I really enjoyed your post and agree with you whole heartedly. I think he could have done a lot more but for the obstruction from the other side. I understand on inaugeration night, a group of republicans got together to plan their stragedy to get rid of Obama at all costs.
I have no respect for a party that wants to destroy this nation because of their blind hatred.

  • Rob

It is encourging to see that the left takes time to read these columns it may be that they acutally learn something.

    • bigjeff1

The “left” must be anyone who “acutally” reads these articles and then thinks a little. Here we have another non-event being trumpeted as if it meant something. In the context of what is really happening in this country and the world that should help inform us of what we need to be seriously considering, some silly, marginal event in West Virginia has zero importance. On the other hand, it does give clever people the opportunity to type “Obumma” one more time.
If you are concerned about the degrees to which our real freedoms to pursue our personal and community goals are being taken away from us, you might take a hard look at where the real power in this country resides. It is in the hands of the new Nobility that owns your land, your media, your banks, your courts, and your government. We have become mere peasants serving their needs and it might be time to tip over their money-changing tables.

when obama was elected and then inaugurated (twice) i thought, well good, i didn’t vote for him but he will showcase what blacks can do. i mean, if they got the actual president in their corner, what’s going to stop them? they could always say before, the system is stacked against us, it’s whites, whites, whites, but with an actual black president, watch out world, we is on a roll! well if you count welfare rolls, that’s where they still are. okay they’re not all on welfare (in fact our problem here is white welfare, where they buy $30,000 F150s and then on the way home stop at the food pantry, and then watch their deluxe cable), but can any black person enter the (pre-programmed) voting booth and honestly say his life has improved over the last 4 years? obama is a visionary and that’s good, gay marriage would be just great, but what we all need is someone who rolls up his sleeves and works with the nuts and bolts.

His lying has corrupted every thought and idea to the degree that he no longer is capable of discerning or telling the truth. His conscience has been seared to the point that he can have his white grandmother slaughtered in an attempt to conceal the fact she provided him with a Social Security number from a guy who retired in Hawaii from Conneticut without ever using his social security benefits. What else can we expect from this poster child for affirmative action? Why is anyone surprised that every indigent POS who lays on their back spitting out generation after generation of baby-mommas and baby-daddies will vote for him? Why is anyone surprised that every muslim terrorist who lives and operates in America will vote for him? After four generations of welfare, affirmative action and Black Liberation theology they actually believe that both God and Allah have given them the edict to destroy the goose who lays their golden eggs. Barack Obama’s war is not against America, his jihad is not against capitalism. Those are simply methods to achieve His one true desire; to wage a pogrom against all white people. That’s why he has the support of 96% of all the blacks in America

  • I Am The Beast Sssotlohiefmjn

I can fix it all. It is a novel idea! We proclaim our government under Obama is illegal and we tell China, so sorry, er no pay this 15 plus trillion he took from you but you can have him for war crime trials. We then set a bounty on his head over here and get him.
Then we proclaim a clean up america campaign, we dispel drug laws and such and put the task to locals in towns and cities and country sides, wherein we allow them to control drug trades, sex trades, violence trades, gang trades, all local under local police and the peoples general control as to prevent the import or export of these and manage the needs local with liability requirements that mandate cooperation to have these products or practices local within the states federal generals.
We make drug cultivation a police ran gang operation that regulates price and jobs to rich and poor for drug use local and by our local pride we kick out rival illegal gangs and control our streets and businesses in peace and route out illegal aliens and others who do us wrongs.
Being a drug addict means lower standards of medical care at the clinic and it means having to work and or pay out the arse one or the other, It means control over lifestyle to be acceptable by the locals concerning discretion and safety and it means peace will be mandatory or go to another town. We have then well behaved drug addicts and we offer them organized health info and if desired treatment programs but allow freedom for use by them we keep such in the red light districts and promote sober life to our children as the better lifestyle of choice for happiness and health.
We are then all about building local greenhouses and farming fields and removing our carbon prints. We are about saving oceans inland and about for us and ours and them we like.

It has been said since 2009 that even Mickey Mouse or Daffey Duck could beat Obama – after the DNC’s totalatarian government goals were fully exposed by their having a super majority in Washington in 2008, that is. I certainly appears to be true.

  • Attila

Yes, being the first gay pres will cost him some votes, but they were more than he was counting on. He did it for the money, which his campaign needs badly.

Instead of George Clooney giving the dinner for Obama he should have given it for his own state. Seems he just likes to walk with the big guys instead of making the place he lives better…..

    • eddie47d

Is that like Sheldon Adelson and wife giving 30 million to Gingrich when the state of Nevada has been in dire straits?

Wisconsin bothers me. I don’t think national organizations should interfere with state business or elections. It’s not right… only the people of the state should be able to participate. Unions are the largest special interest group in the US other than government workers and their Unions, and they have a huge amount of money to spend and a lot to loose in this case. It’s just wrong……..

    • jopa

You don’t think national organizations should be involved in state elections,. how about all the international influence on national and state elections. Some people think an organization like the US Chamber of Commerce is like there local C ofC, however this organization represents foreign countries from around the world that influence American politics and the economy. That is really scary if you put some thought into it.

I agree with this. I still do not understand how Obama got elected in the first place… When God is taken out of schools, libraries etc, Means that this Nation is going to down the sh—-r very fast. you are an idiot

    • An honest man

I’m forced to chose between two factions, my union tells me to vote for Obama because he will protect our rights in the work place, but my thoughts about this man taking away my constitutional rights concern me very much. What good is a union when my rights as a citizen of the United States are taken away.. The second amendment is important to me because If I can’t defend myself in times of unrest and riots then me and my family will perish. A man with a weapon to defend himself is a free man and a man without a weapon to defend himself is a slave.. THINK BEFORE YOU VOTE..

      • Katrael

An honest man, I like your comment about our second amendment rights. In my opinion, we as humans, have the right to secure our safety and to defend ourselves as individuals. This would be true regardless of a constitution that says so however, our Constitution does say it’s our right. In my view a man, woman or child has the right and obligation to protect and defend themselves no matter what law gets passed. What man would carelessly lay down his life for his family as long as he had the ability to protect himself and by extension his family? Is it proper and correct for a man to sacrifice his families life? Not at all. Let’s just pray that we will continue to have this right as an entitlement by law.

There is a real dark hidden side about Obama. He is not an African American. On his father’s birth certificate he is listed as an Arab African. Here is another very interesting fact. His father’s family was granted the right to continue the slave trade business by Queen Victoria.
It’s not a “birther” issue, it’s a Constitutional Issue – written by the Founders to protect our Nation against people like Obama who will destroy America from within. We have been warned over and over. Our elected cowards failed America.

If the past is a clue as to where we are heading with our federal debt:
    1950 US federal debt= 80% of GDP.
    1960=46%of GDP.
The economy grew, so the ratio of debt to GDP fell, and everything worked out fiscally.Money is just a very workable and convenient substitute for everything else that is out there. The government protecting, helping and encouraging people to work and perform is what really counts and this is what will propel the US forward.

“the President has made it clear he’ll do everything he can to destroy the coal industry in this country“. What a lie! The President has made it clear he’ll do everything he can to destroy the DIRTY coal industry in this country, he has nothing against clean energy. It’s obvious down the road cheap polluting energy is costing us more and more, especially when it comes to health.

    • Ted Crawford

Really?? ” Under my plan energy prices will necessarily skyrocket ” Obama
      April 2007
” we have an abundance of fossil fuel…thats bad….Coal is my nightmare, we have so much coal that we no longer need to explore for it ” Steven Chu
      September 2008
‘ Somehow we have to find a way to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe ” Steven Chu ( at that time the price in Europe was between $9 & $10 a gal.)
      Feburary 2012
Representative Alan Nunnelee during a hearing of the House Appropiations Subcommittee on Energy ask Steven Chu if the DOE’s effort was to reduce the price of gasoline. Chu’s answer was, ” NO, as I have repeatedly said in the Department of Energy , what we are trying to do is diversify. “

      • Louis Lemieux

Obama is being quoted out of context.

Chu has been a vocal advocate for more research into renewable energy and nuclear power, arguing that a shift away from fossil fuels is essential to combat global warming. He also spoke at the 2009 and 2011 National Science Bowl about the importance of America’s science students, emphasizing their future role in environmental planning and global initiative. Chu said that a typical coal power plant emits 100 times more radiation than a nuclear power plant. Steven Chu is a co-winner of the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1997.

Forget global warming – it’s Cycle 25 we need to worry about (and if NASA scientists are right the Thames will be freezing over again)

Met Office releases new figures which show no warming in 15 years

The supposed ‘consensus’ on man-made global warming is facing an inconvenient challenge after the release of new temperature data showing the planet has not warmed for the past 15 years.

The figures suggest that we could even be heading for a mini ice age to rival the 70-year temperature drop that saw frost fairs held on the Thames in the 17th Century.

Based on readings from more than 30,000 measuring stations, the data was issued last week without fanfare by the Met Office and the University of East Anglia Climatic Research Unit. It confirms that the rising trend in world temperatures ended in 1997.

A painting, dated 1684, by Abraham Hondius depicts one of many frost fairs on the River Thames during the mini ice age.

Meanwhile, leading climate scientists yesterday told The Mail on Sunday that, after emitting unusually high levels of energy throughout the 20th Century, the sun is now heading towards a ‘grand minimum’ in its output, threatening cold summers, bitter winters and a shortening of the season available for growing food.

Solar output goes through 11-year cycles, with high numbers of sunspots seen at their peak.

We are now at what should be the peak of what scientists call ‘Cycle 24’ – which is why last week’s solar storm resulted in sightings of the aurora borealis further south than usual. But sunspot numbers are running at less than half those seen during cycle peaks in the 20th Century.

Analysis by experts at NASA and the University of Arizona – derived from magnetic-field measurements 120,000 miles beneath the sun’s surface – suggest that Cycle 25, whose peak is due in 2022, will be a great deal weaker still.

We need to get this one out to all our friends ASAP. It was posted on the Conservative byte: What most people know is that the Associated Press (AP) is one of the largest, internationally recognized, syndicated news services. What most people don’t know that is in 2004, the AP was a “birther” news organization.

How so? Because in a syndicated report, published Sunday, June 27, 2004, by the Kenyan Standard Times, and which was, as of this report, available at

The AP reporter stated the following:

Kenyan-born US Senate hopeful, Barrack Obama, appeared set to take over the Illinois Senate seat after his main rival, Jack Ryan, dropped out of the race on Friday night amid a furor over lurid sex club allegations.

    • Karolyn

      Old news.

    • Wildey

I agree about Obama being not eligible for the job he’s got based on his not meting the Constitution requirements but what about our trashing of the rest of the Constitution? The original Constitution, like the Ten Comandments, required compliance to all of it. Like cancer it has been dying a slow death but the current diagnosis says terminal, and soon.

  • joe NTALIB from California

There are many issues just now taking the forefront afrter 3.5 years Obama has been in office and made a disgrace of our country and way of life. He has sided with the Gay movement and forgot a few things. One: We conservative teach our children that marriage is between a man and a woman that is in our religeous and living beliefs. One of the reasons I see for not accepting gay marriage is it is going to be real confusing to the kids as they go to school and when the parents are teaching one philosophy to these chidren and the education system and now the president want to brain wash our kids with some other ideology. But really as we all know he is trying to move the spot light off of his dismal record as president onto other issues. You can run Mr. president but you really cannot hide the real economic disaster you have created, your ultimate proof to the country you are not qualified to be a president, and the terrible divide you have created and encouraged with racist and class warfare for you own gains. Man, You should be cast out of office and impeached for the way you have treated this honor to be our President and not honoring the oath you took 42 months ago! I am over OBUMMER!

    • DonF48

Well said, but I don’t think churchs go far enough to point out why same sex marriage is not Godly. When God created Adam and Eve and placed them in the garden as a married couple, He said they were created in His image and that everything was very good. To change the definition of marriage is to change the picture, or image of God and we are not allowed to do that.

In addition, marriage was instituted by God for at least 2 very specific reasons. Marriage between a man and a woman was the only way to propogate the race. And marriage was the only way to avoid fornication, which is consenting sex outside of the bounds of marriage.

I think same sex relations, as well as premarital sex, are both fornication and are prohibited by God.

      • rodney wolfe

Atheists don’t care about The Bible or what it says. Any kind of sin is relative to them; they have no core.

      • Karolyn

Rodney – You are so far out in right field it isn’t even funny. To say that atheists have no “core” is totally without merit; and I think our respected poster here, DaveH, would have much to tell you about that. I would suggest you have no “core” to be that shallow-minded.

      • eddie47d

I’ve seen some Christian Conservatives without any core values and who use the church as a power play and a crutch Rodney. Now that doesn’t mean even a small portion of Christians are peddling sin. If you can comprehend that.

        • Katrael

eddie47d. it might be best if you didn’t say anything than to say something that proves how much intelligence you might not have. Everybody has a core of beliefs whether that core is built around falsehoods and lies or truths.

  • DonF48

I have had enough of democrats trying to blame Bush for the econonmy and for unemployment. Do you guys ever use your heads before you open your mouth?

Suppose I were to be elected President today and I told you that I will impose a 50% excise fee on any car purchased after I am seated, what do you think the result would be? People would begin looking at their car needs and make decisions about how they will change their behaviour when the change kicks in.

BUsiness is exactly the same. They saw the costs of hiring going up under Obama long before he took office so they began paring down the work for to limit the damage Obama would do to them.

The 750,000 jobs lost the last month Bush was in office was directly caused by Obama. NOT BY BUSH. I know it is easy to beat up a guy that will not defend himself but that is what Obama is doing. Of course, when you don’t have anything good to run on, the only alternative is to tear down everyone else to Obama’s level. Shame.

    • eddie47d

Now that was an Orwellian stretch !

  • bigjeff1

“The real economic disaster you have created”! That is a totally uninformed and programmed statement based on absolutely no understanding of economics, global finance, or how budget deficits are created over time. You think he was the one that decided we enter into 2 stupid, decade-long wars and not pay for them? You think he was the one that was running all of Wall Street when they gambled away our money? You are all so willing to shout and stomp your feet about the President without having a clue about what really goes on in the world that it sounds like pre-school playground chatter. But you do make Karl Rove happy, and Rupert, and the Kochs, and all the other bloodsuckers playing you for fools.

    • rodney wolfe

Your list of bloodsuckers runs a bit short, to not include all those hypocrites in Hollywood, Al Gore, George Soros, and others. Surely you can do better than that.
I would wager that you don’t think too much of the Constitution either.

      • Robert Arthur

Hey genius, I won’t get to deep here. Your comments open up a world of rebuttal which you are simply not smart enough to absorb. So lets just go minimum depth ( by the way Einstein, chew on that concept and give me your thoughts)Bush’s last deficit was less than 500 billion. Barry’s deficits will be 5 billion after 4 years. If Barry’s deficit spending would have just been equal to Bush’s WORST deficit that would have saved approx. 3 TRILLION + dollars. Does that not amount to at least the cost of these “unpaid for wars” Speaking of “unpaid for wars” let me explain something to you. On second thought, never mind.
We’ll discuss that after you explain to me minimum depth. So, pull up your pants, get off the porn sites and get yourself a job so you can move out of your mom’s place and join productive society.

    • Ted Crawford

You ignore a very important difference here. Those on Wall Street who, as you state ” Gambled away our money ” did so with our permission. We, or our autherized agents, gave them that permission by purchasing the financial insturments they offered, of our own free will. Those of us who feel we made bad choices, either in our agences or personal purchasing choices have now made different, and hopfully better ones, again of our own free will.
When the Government ‘ Gambles away our money ” IE- Solyndra, Evergreen Solar, Ener1, Tasker, Volt, ETC. they do so without our consent, but we are allowed to change our agents only through an election. Untill then they just keep taking our money, or rather our Children and Grand-Childrens money, either through an Executive Order or yet another in what has become a seemingly endless line of Continuing Resolutions, gambling where ever and whenever they please!
This wouldn’t be possible if Harry Reid and the Senate would perform their Constitutionally mandated responsibility and pass a budget!

      • Katrael

Ted Crawford, your statement, which I agree with, expresses what I feel: the government has no business in business, especially private business.

  • ef ez lynos

Does WV matter? The state has the highest rate of Non-Employment in the USA. A huge swath of the population gets welfare and food stamps and over 90% of the state is white. So it is a state full of white trash people who would rather vote for a prisoner than a black man. Who cares? really. Those poor people will get screwed harder by Romney than by Obama the socialist. They should sell their coal to China.

    • Ted Crawford

If I were to lookup the word’clueless’ in the Dictionary, I’m reasonably certain I would see your picture there! WOW!!!

    • Katrael

ef ez lynos, why would you assume that because 90% of WV is white that they are all white trash? You just made a global statement that can’t be applied to all of them and this shows your immaturity. Is everyone who gets food stamps and government assistance trash? Would you consider the few from different minorities who live there to be trash also because they may get food stamps or other assistance?

I’m very conservative and don’t believe that any of the government give away programs need to exist and I believe that many if not most who make a life time commitment toward receiving government assistance are lazy but I don’t see that there is anything wrong with a person who gets help only as long as they absolutely need to.

The message from WV is not lost on me: they’d rather have a convict who admits what they are than a politician who wants to paint themselves out to be god. Those same people who receive those food stamps may be willing to risk loosing them to an honest president who might take away their meal ticket. Takes guts in my opinion to do that.

The real message that West Virginia gave to the proxy president: FY. Hopefully we’ll hear this from Obama, “mayday mayday, the ship is sinking.”

Hallelujah, there actually seems to be some morally minded people in this country. 61% in North Carolina don’t want to change what a marriage is and this message is, “no back door buddies for us.”

Over all this is good news that hopefully means we will be shed of this communist in president’s clothing. This article put a smile on my face.

Years ago I and my wife attended a bible study on Wednesday’s. Being a person who reads everything, I was reading Mein Kampf, Hitlers book. To a man they thought it was just we needed. With that I told them who the author was. Reagan said.. Trust, but verify. I’m not saying anything but don’t react to a video. Read politicians resumes’ and then decide.

I think that there needs to be a change in DC we need to get all the ticks off the hound before they suck all of the blood out of him.there are a lot more important issues at hand than what they are fooling with. so we need a big change to get the country back on do this the gov needs to cut taxes or just change the tax code get rid of the EPA.and get rid of regulations that kill jobs.get the gov out of schools. cut the corporate to one of lowest not the highest it is today.the gov does not make jobs they kill them.

    • Wildey

Are you familiar with the biblical story of Sodom and Gommorah? That’s just we need.

    • Katrael

Herbert, you touched on a lot of good issues. I would take your bottom line to be that less government is good government? One thing that I most emphatically agree with is that the government kills jobs. Oh, sure the government creates jobs.

The government creates jobs but the salaries and wages that the government pays it’s employees with comes directly out of the tax dollars that it confiscates from the private sector. The Taxes the government collects from it’s employees came directly from the tax revenues that the government collected in the first place so the bottom line is that the government could save all the red ink and only pay it’s employees a lower wage or salary and make them exempt from having to file taxes on their government earnings. The real point of this particular rant of mine is to deflect any contention that government employees pays taxes on their government earning which they do but the issue of those government employees paying taxes on their wages is a meaningless issue.

The real issue is that any dollar the government takes from the private sector is a dollar that could be used to hire another employee who would then pay a tax on the goods and services that he or she buys or, heaven forbid, the income that he or she earns.

Less government is a better government.

  • Wildey

When I see the Republicans backing Romney, a man many of them don’t like, I’m not surprised when the Democrats do the same thing. Given a choice between Romney, a Republican, and Obama most democrats will go for Obama even though they might think Romney might be the better. When people are chosing candidates in their own party. that’s one thing, but when it comes to a choice between an R or D? America was founded by Republicans and Democrats. I know that’s a lie but how many think it? Hitler was elected to power. What makes us the exception? Can’t we elect another Hitler to power? Now we have a real choice with Ron Paul and what are we doing?

At Adolph Eichmann’s trial, an old Jew who had been in the concentration camps was called on to give his testimony against Eichmann. All of a sudden while walking to the witness box and looking at Eichmann he collapsed to the floor. People asked him if the sight of him did this to him? He said, “No, no. He’s a man just like me. I could be just like him”.

Thinkers, people who ask questions, are a rare breed now-a-days. People who read resumes’ to make up their own minds rather than get caught up by the media brain washing. People who know the differences of moral, immoral and amoral. People who put the transcendental law, God’s law, ahead of a decision by the supreme court. People who know when they’re being treated like Pavlov’s dog and don’t like it and will do something about it. People who forget labels and look into hearts.

    Lay in more ammo……….

Yes Chip, I did know about the West Virginia primary. I read about it the next day on the internet and – RALMAO! It was great. However, I did not see it anywhere else. Surprise!

‘I guess every inmate needs a hobby.” That is correct, Chip. Idle hands are the devil’s workshop.
Actually Chip, to be exact it was 4.1 voters ou6 of 10. And…. If memory serves me right ole dick-for-brains won in 1992 with 4.2 voters out of 10.

Chip, be careful about using the “P” word in the same breath with Obama as he is simply camped out in OUR WH playing the role. Actually you should be careful abut using the “O” word when referencing Barry Soetoor / Harrison J. Bounel.
“Newsweek magazine put the President’s face on the cover under the headline “The First Gay President.” A rainbow-colored halo appeared above Obama’s head.” Just watch the Larry Sinclare news conference from a few years ago and you will know that many have been, as usual, way ahead of the curve on this one.

Lugar might as well leave the Senate; he has already left the state. He could not even vote in his own primary in Indiana due to non-residency.

“For years, he listed a house he sold in 1977 on his voter-registration form.” Isn’t that VOTER FRAUD? Does Lugar work for ACORN? No wnder he is Soetoro’s favorite Republican!

  • Thinking About

Since Lugar surely wasn’t the first one and probably will not be the last one to claim residence in a state and did not “live there”. George H W Bush claimed as his residence in Texas by sometimes stay in a certain hotel room in Houston which was assigned to others when Bush was not in town.

I can not speak for those in WV voting for someone who is in prison, guess they did not “vet” for whom they voted, shame on them, it was a prime example of lack of attention in voting choices. I wonder if they have voter ID there, probably would have resulted in no votes for the prisoner.

For a site who professes liberty, guess this does not apply for others. If Obama suggests others has the right to love whom they want they government should step in and curtail their wishes. Seems like Chip is promoting the overstretching arm of the government.

Obama’s in well deserved trouble with America and thank God for it! What a disgrace he’s been and look at all the damage he’s leaving in his wake. We BETTER make sure that nothing prevents us from voting in November to get him out of our White House.

To all,.. Here in california, years ago, they elected a “moombeam” as govenor. Apparently, the nuts offspring, the fruits and flakes, wanted to know what govenor moonbeam was all about,so they got him to run and got him elected.Honestly, his sister makes him look worse than his dad(also a govenor),and he was no prize. Why should’nt we all run off to a coed monistary, learn to make our own booze while growing our own(no need of a medicinal,er medical card),cut our hair short, run for and become the mayor of Oakland, and then weasel our way back into the govenor’s chair. You know, the ONLY honest politician is the one who puts a roof over your head, clothes on your back, food on the table, believes in a higher power,is a NRA lifemember,Uses Common Sense, tells it like it is(even though it hurts),and does not talk down to you.Oh,and likes good comedy, plus, knows the number one book(world wide),is good for you, even if it is incomplete.

    The Reality of Compromised Obama

Published on May 18, 2012 by TheAlexJonesChannel

Obama: First British President of the United States
Back in 2004, as he prepared to run for the Senate, the Associated Press ran the headline: Kenyan-born Obama all set for US Senate.

Alan Keyes: Is Obama a natural born citizen? ran an article by John Charlton in 2009 mentioning the post originally posted in June, 2004. It is now readily available via the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine.
Kenyan-born US Senate hopeful, Barrack Obama (sic), appeared set to take over the Illinois Senate seat after his main rival, Jack Ryan, dropped out of the race on Friday night amid a furor over lurid sex club allegations.

Obama conceded in October of 2004 during a debate with Alan Keyes that he is not a natural born citizen. C-Span aired an uncut version of the debate in April of 2005.

In 2008, Keyes filed a lawsuit in California challenging Obama’s right to serve as president. The suit demanded Obama produce a valid birth certificate. The Third District Court of Appeal threw the lawsuit out in October, 2010.

Obama’s birth in Kenya makes him a British subject. In 1961, Kenya was still a British colony. The British Nationality Act of 1948 (Part II, Section 5) states:

Subject to the provisions of this section, a person born after the commencement of this Act shall be a citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies by descent if his father is a citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies at the time of the birth.
In other words, Obama is the first British president of the United States.

it amazing how many of these ficticious completely made up things keep getting spread around by people who refuse to search for the truth and verify this crap. Some people just want to believe what they want to believe no matter how far fetched or inane.

To You Who Fights Freedom..The evidence that Obama was born in Kenya is proving to be a mighty skinny to what is required by our wonderful Constitution for a court of law to rule that he was born there! Common sense ain’t your best bet either!

So keep on beating that dead horse and you may get the Guinness record in that catagory! Breaking the record presently held by the “Earth is flat” believers, I AM GOING TO BET THAT YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN ARRESTED FOR BEING INTELLIGENT!

“So what happened when North Carolinians went to vote last week? They voted overwhelmingly in favor of adding a new amendment to the State Constitution, declaring that marriage is between one man and one woman. Obama and Joe Biden had publicly opposed the measure. Bill Clinton even recorded robocalls against it.”

Just goes to shows you how narcissistic politicians are.

“Voters in North Carolina turned out in record numbers for the election. And once they closed the curtain behind them, 61 percent of them voted to define marriage as the union of one man and one woman. Period.”

It is good to see that most people still vote their conscience rather than vote the way a politician would prefer they vote.

    • Libertytrain

They did turn out in record numbers. I think everyone is getting tired of being told how to think and what to do so that one is always “politically correct” – it was refreshing to see the people being heard – that old “silent” majority.

  • Gary Bourbonais

Besides whatever issues are at hand, in the WI recall election, there has been a backlash developing because we’re doing the same dang election over again, as 2010…If certain folks had waited until the next real election, they might have pulled it off…I know one I would have voted for, even…
But not in this Recall, come Hell or High Water…

  • David A Deal

A couple dolts on here keep referring to President Obama as Soetoro. That was his stepfather’s name and he only spent a few short years around him as a child. He spent from 10 years old up with his grandparents so why not refer to him as Dunham that would at least be a little closer to some sense of reality though not quite. Some of the accusations on here are so inaccurate and long ago debunked or just common practice for all Dems and Dem Prsidents yet when a half black President follows common Democrat beliefs he is suddenly a Socialist, a Commie and all kinds of outrageous things. You haters sicken me. He is FAR better than Bush or even DEBTKING Reagan who TRIPLED our debt in 12 yrs by the time his VP Bush left with wreckless tax cuts sapping our revenue stream and outrageous military spending further increasing our debt. All Obama is trying to do is things Clinton did or tried to do and Clinton with his low military spending and 41% taxes on wealthy was able to completely halt the bleeding and hold our debt at 6 Trillion all 8 yrs before leaving a surplus BUSH pissed away quickly with a reverting to Reaganomics and warf spending both of which Obama has been forced to live with because of the party of NO roadfblocks killing our country just to try to discredit and defeat Obama. They are treasonous bastards.

It took 8 years for the court jester to destroy this country. Now, the rich guy who will cut everything, so his 1% elite rich buddies, himself included, can profit from the misfortunes of others. Look at his record at Bain Capital. Made a bundle letting people go, while paying himself a handsome fee.

So now we know (For Sure) the election in West Virginia is gonna be thrown! This was just a dry run just to see if the “FIX IS IN” works!

In light of all the recent disclosures about Obama’s preferences, the D’s campaign slogan takes on a whole different meaning and suggests that this is what they want to continue doing to America.

    AP Declared Obama “Kenyan-Born”
What most people know is that the Associated Press (AP) is one of the largest, internationally recognized, syndicated news services.

30,000 – 100,000 Russian Troops Scheduled within next 7 Months

“John Moore said on Wednesday’s broadcast, that he got news from the CIA Headquarters a report that says within the next 7 months, there will be between 30,000 – 100,000 Russian Troops coming to America to stay. First wave of troops begins on May 21st. ”

Hired by DHS’s Janet Napaliano or as I call her “Dungbeetle”? word is yes.

    Staying — yes.

    Dear Void72:

Glory, Hallelujah Brother, YOU are MY KIND of Patriot and uncompromising AMERICAN!

I only regret I didn’t have time to scroll throuh all 327 comments to see if you had any other encouraging and spirit-renewing comments to share with those who ferociously LOVE our great and only TRUE GOD, OUR BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY and our irreplaceable Constitution!

There’s a lot more I’d love to share, but please let me encourage YOU to “keep saying it LIKE IT IS!” More God-fearing, America-loving people are “waking up” everyday because by the grace of God, “I’m one of those!” :-)

Tragically, Americans didn’t listen decades ago when this prophecy was spoken:

“Those who will not be governed by God, will be RULED by TYRANTS.” ~William Penn

Though we certainly don’t deserve it, may our great and gracious God have mercy on us and our beautiful Country!

  • Virginia Ramey

I read some anti liberals on here, and you didnt listen to the president. He said we can make changes one lawsuit, to keep our liberties, one lawsuit at a time, he didnt want to go to the other side of the earth and kill people, totally destroying their liberties, then claim that this is patriotic, a good thing, and will keep freedom free. Yup, war, lets have a hundred years of it, after all as dr Laura schlessenger says, it will help our young people grow up. What? killing people and raping women? why not instead leagalize prostution , and make polygamy ok. the devil comes to kill steal and destroy. That is pretty much what globalizing is, plus throw in “imprisoning, rape and torture, into the stew of how to “keep freedom ” and it is not “free”,,, no we lost a lot of soldiers, and our reputation,,, and displayed our idiocy that finding out it was a mistake to go to war, just say “We’re gonna WIN” We’re gonna WIN”. Bush stood snickering as there was applause to his statement that “We’re gonna WIN”. Well, with his IQ of 90…(80 is moron), He can sure mislead people who obviously have no short term memory at all. It was just said the war was a mistake. That you cant “WIN” a mistake, only needs to be pointed out if people are total imbiciles, and apparently they are.
