Barack Obama, Deficit Peacock

February 12, 2010 by

Barack Obama, Deficit Peacock

I’m a deficit hawk. I hope you’re one as well.

If you are it means you want to see our gargantuan government put on a strict diet. You want to force it to live within its means, rather than borrow trillions of dollars to spend on programs we don’t want or need.

(As one crazy example, we just agreed to borrow a billion dollars from China so we can send it to Brazil to bribe them stop cutting down trees. That’s just one of the Administration’s new “ecology” programs.)

Deficit hawks are sick and tired of the way deals are done in our nation’s capitol (and far too many state capitols). We get angry knowing that our representatives use our money to bribe other voters so they can play “Big Spender” in Washington. We’re seriously afraid that our leaders will destroy our currency and bankrupt our country.

That’s what the phrase “deficit hawk” means. What does that make our president? I know President Barack Obama, and I can assure you he’s no deficit hawk. Despite all of his talk about cutting spending, trimming needless programs and being as frugal as possible with our money, he’s more like a deficit peacock.

By that I mean he’s much more concerned about how he looks and sounds than believing what he says. I’m sorry to have to say this, but our president is living proof of the old cliché about how you know a politician is lying (answer: his lips move).

I’m beginning to believe that the narcissistic egomaniac who occupies the Oval Office actually believes his own rhetoric. How else could our Teleprompter in Chief sound so sincere and convincing when he gets in front of a microphone to ‘splain things to us?

Here’s the Straight Talk rule for deciphering a politician’s rhetoric: Forget about what he says. Instead, watch what he does. What Barrack Obama has done is promote a spending spree that would make a drunken sailor jealous.

Obama has taken federal spending to a whole new level. If you thought George Bush, with his “guns and butter” social conservatism was irresponsible, W was a miserly skinflint compared to the smooth-talking sugar daddy who replaced him.

Immediately after taking office Obama increased discretionary domestic spending by 8 percent. That was for the second half of fiscal 2009. In fiscal 2010, he and his staff increased it by another 12 percent. Taken together, that’s a 24 percent increase in federal spending since George Bush’s last full year in office. And that total doesn’t even include Obama’s $787 billion “stimulus” package—or the new one he wants.

Now our Dissembler in Chief has promised to cut discretionary spending by 1 percent. As my grandkids would say, “Big whoop.” Let me tell you what’s not included in this so-called spending freeze:

  • Various government entitlement programs, such as Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.
  • The half-trillion in “stimulus” money that hasn’t been spent.
  • Foreign aid.
  • Pet federal education programs.
  • All of the various “greening” programs.

Bottom line? The anticipated savings from Obama’s so-called “freeze” amount to less than 1 percent of this year’s deficit—and that’s if Congress doesn’t add any pork or earmarks to the plan. Want to bet on that?

In his speech, Obama said, “I refuse to pass this problem on to another generation of Americans.” I can only admire the restraint of everyone in the audience; not a single person blurted out, “You lie!”

Last Sunday President Obama released the Federal Budget for fiscal 2011. It projects that federal spending will rise to $3.72 trillion in fiscal 2010, then climb to $3.83 trillion in fiscal 2011.

The projections include a deficit of $1.56 trillion this fiscal year and an additional $1.27 trillion next year. Then the numbers are supposed to start coming down.

Don’t believe for a second that they will. One of the key assumptions in the Obama budget is that inflation will be half the average rate it has been for the past 100 years. Does anyone anywhere really believe that?

Since they took over Congress the Democrats have increased non-defense spending by an astronomical $1.4 trillion. Under the new budget the national debt will triple by 2020.

During the past 15 months, our profligate government has amassed $1.8 trillion of new indebtedness. Believe it or not, Obama’s boys ran a deficit each and every month, including the tax-collection month of April. (While no one likes to mention it, the government normally enjoys a surplus in April. In fact, it has done so each and every April for the past 26 years. Then Mr. Obama took over.)

To help put that $1.8 trillion in new debt in perspective, consider this: That is more than double the total debt that this country accumulated during the first 200 years of its existence. Our debt load did not crack the $1 trillion mark until 1980.

To put it another way, today our dangerously profligate government racks up as much debt in six months as we did in our first 200 years.

And that’s why I say Barrack Obama and his cohorts in Congress are deficit peacocks.

They strut around Washington pretending to care about deficits… pretending they want to balance the budget… pretending they’ll help freeze spending.

Their strategy is simple and their audacity is amazing: Promise spending cuts in the future while going on a spending spree today. And this with money stolen from us in taxes or, even worse, stolen from our unborn heirs in the form of inflation.

That’s what deficit peacocks do. Nearly 50 years ago one of Lyndon Johnson’s cronies bragged about the strategy: “Tax and tax, spend and spend, elect and elect—the public is too damn dumb to understand.” The big-spending liberals haven’t changed a thing since then. Frankly, they haven’t needed to.

I wish I could claim credit for that marvelous descriptor, “deficit peacocks.” But I first heard it from the Center for American Progress, a left-leaning policy group in Washington. I may not like your recommendations, fellows. But I love your phrase.

There is an epic battle going on in this country between the people who earn the money and the people who want to spend it—or even worse, want it spent on themselves. The pendulum is currently at the half-way point. Fifty percent of the population pays more than 97 percent of the taxes. We’re the ones who fill the trough. The other 50 percent get to eat there.

Is there any way to beat them? Yes. All we have to do is work harder to get decent people elected to office.

Hey, we already work a lot harder than they do in our jobs, our lives, our charities, our churches. Why can’t we work harder to defeat them at the polls?

As the voters in Massachusetts just proved, we can. So let’s do it.

Until next time, keep some powder dry.

I’m not from Texas but one of their sayings fits the bill: Obama is all Hat and No Cattle. He talks a good game but persists in acting exactly opposite to what he says. His words are deficit hawk. His actions, well, they speak for themselves. http://www.thefedupamerican.com

    • http://www.data-technologies.net Pete Gandy

I’m from Texas and I think this president’s elevator doesn’t go to the penthouse.

Well maybe I’m wrong on that one.
You eat beans and ground beef. He eats and treats his guests, “on your money” to $300.00 Kobie steaks in the Penthouse, Uhhh White House.

    • Ken

AMEN! If you can’t dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with BS and unfortunately about 53% of the population love that flavor but when it gets over your nose , you will smother to death and take the rest of us with you.

    • Vicki

Remember it has long been said that it is by their fruits that you shall know them. Said in the Bible about prophets it applies just as well to politicians and to people in general.

    • BOE

The sad and very scary thing is that Obama is really mentally ill. Narcissum is real and so is sociopathy. How in world we got in this mess is becoming clear. These 2 mental illnesses or very difficult to see through. We have been had by the likes of George Soros, the Saudi`s and muslims.

      • Time

        BOE,
Its called “POLITICANS.” Now, can you see how it all happens.
Think of a little lizard that changes its color to adapt to its enviroment.

Or as Marx’s said a truth today may not be true tomorrow. Its truth of the monent.

Very good, Charles, you said it all, I am in your age range, and was in Korea with the USMC, when I was 18, and now, am a DAV. GOD bless people like you, and the rest of our nation, which I hope, is on the same page.—but, I doubt it.

  • http://www.data-technologies.net Pete Gandy

    Mr. Wood,
I agree with everything you said except one that appears to be a little out of touch.
I may have misunderstood you on the Entitlements issues you listed.
I agree with all of them except the Social Security issues.

The Social Security was and is, “as I see it” funded from individual contributions/confiscation of money direct to SS not to any other pool of money.
Well that’s the way it’s supposed to be.
I believe those who have have paid into SS a life time have a right to have the money returned. It should be returned with interest.
Your favorite President LBJ and cronies moved the SS funds into the general pool in the sixties and then they created a new entitlement, “Welfare.”
Now the bulk of the money “contributed/confiscated” for SS is being distributed to those who never have or will pay into it. All the while complaining that it takes 2.5 workers to pay for the SS. I hope you know that just isn’t true!

Certainly those who paid in have an entitlement to have money returned at old age, “the original intent.”
So if I misread you I apologize but people of age to draw SS are just getting some of the money back they are, “ENTITLED” to. Actually they should be getting it all back plus interest.

Certainly you would have no objection to a person getting back money that was put into a pool that was to be reserved to be returned later.
Take the welfare bullshit out of SS and there would be no SS funding problems. It would and did have more than enough money in the fund. Oh but our good little Democrats noticed the money so decided that it needed to be spent.
    Their good at that!

    • Time

Pete, I may be wrong, but I think what Mr. Wood is saying is that our SS paid in has been used to pay for Illegal’s for years amoung other things.
The SS story is a long one, if every American read how it was started, as well how its been perverted over the years, it would boggle the mind.

      • http://www.data-technologies.net Pete Gandy

        Thanks sir,
That’s why I apologized in advance if I misread him.
I don’t think he said it very clearly as he just listed SS as one of the entitlements that I read as a problem for him. Actually it is more than a SS problem it is robing the SS system that is a problem.

        Again,

        Thanks,
        Pete

        • DaveH

          I agree with you Pete.

        • AnhydrousBob

Mr Gandy, with all due respect, sir, Social Security really is just a Ponzi scheme run by the government whereby the early participants are paid with the money later participants pay in. There is no money ever held in escrow, or “banked” in any way. There was a surplus at one time, and that was blatantly stolen, but SS was, from it’s conception, a plan than could never be self supporting.

    • William Nealey

mr. Grandy you are so spot on.the damned demacrats are buy money as an alcolick is to liqure. they can’t spend enough nor fast enough. Iremember well when lbj and his theiving cohorts decided the social security fund had too much money in it and decided it was their personal slush fund. but you see they are not on the social security system so they could care less about it. the sooner we get rid of them all the better for the country. I hope we can get some people in who truely care for the country and not some more scumbags lookin for the graveytrain and a free ride.

      • http://Yahoo Dee D

Mr Nealey: It is not only the Demorats (aaaaaaaaaaaaaaas you so eloquently put it) that has played Russian Roulette with our private investment of Social Security since FDR gave birth to it in the 30′s. I have payed into it from day one and have followed it’s progress for years. If each and every administration would restore the surplus they have all mis-appropriated and used for everything except it’s intended purpose, it would in fact be one of the most healthy, successful and richest programs ever started in Washington for main street citizens. They keep adding non productive peoples and while allowing other entities to not enroll in the program, but allow the blue collar workers to help pay for their private investments. The two parties feel what is good enough for the common man is not good enough for them. WHY – WHY?
For over 40 years the Republican Party has tried to desmantle the program altogether. WHY? Could the reason be because a Democrat President gave birth to the program? Do they fear that in the final analysis it is THE most successful program installed for the average joe blow and was not brought about by the Republican party????? The last attempt to dismantle the program was when CHENEY wanted Bush Jr to privatize it. The Republican party has fought Medicare, Medicade and a respectable health program that could and would benefit every citizen in America. WHY IS THIS? But better, yet, why are half intelligent voters unable to ask themselves and receive an answer to this question? With are the self granted $1,000.00 (plus) raises they vote for themselves not good enough to be granted to the same people who have financed this country from square one? What’s their fear? Are they afraid we will take control of our government since we the people ARE the GOVERNMENT and they are our employees?
Why does the Republican party want to take every penny they can get away with from every program in operation? Worker’s Comp. (illegal coin deal in Ohio – Taft and Noe),private retirement programs for the public servants in our country (teacher’s, firefighters, police officers, state employees, school bus drivers and the list goes on and on.(Montgomery and Petro was supposed to be guarding – money mis-appropriated, non returned and no prosecutions)
Now for the final blow to your ego—- Social Security checks are being mailed to many citizens in foreign countries because of the sponsorship program dreamed up by some representative in Washington and got rich on it until it ended and the blue collar worker is having to pay the final tab for such a brilliant idea. But the one really bad program that truly put a hurt on the American worker in the work force was the hard care act. In case you know not of what I speak – do a little research – then give yourself a good swift kick in the seat of your pants for doing nothing to help yourself , family , relative or neighbor. Just remember, we the people are the government and we have and are still doing a lousy job running our country.

    • Al Spiker

Yes the social security has been all but destroyed by our free spending politicians. What used to be excess is gone, and I may have to continue to work until I die! Health care will result in the same thing. It’s all about the money. Always was, always will be. Then in a few years the government will be crying that it has all gone south and they need more money. If there wasn’t going to be some sort of windfall for the damn politicians they wouldnt be pushing for it so hard!

      • http://Yahoo Dee D

Al – I feel if main street Americans forced our employees in Washington to live by the same rules they mandate for us we could turn Washington around and in a hurry. They would scuttle around like the little rats they are to make all better and fix up everything if they also had to live it. Then come election time vote them out. Do not give them time to rob us. Think about it voters – You do have the power to do something – Get off your duff – become an American who is willing to do somethng to help.

    • http://Yahoo Dee D

Pete, I feel you are in error when you say the Democrats have dipped into SS and used it for everything except it’s intended purpose. A Democrat gave birth to SS wanting to help the financial providers for this country from square one.(FDR) Alas, every administration since (both Democrat and Republican) have dipped into and mis-appropriated the surplus and used it for everything their cold heart desired. The Republican party fought SS tooth and nail, just like they have Medicare, Medicade and a decent health care program (for the past 40 yrs.) every citizen has a right to. They keep trying to abolish the whole program through privatation, bringing new non contributing groups into the plan and now are sending SS checks to citizens in many different countries because of the sponsorship program that many wealthy CEO’s made many bucks off of but the blue collar worker is paying the tab. Why do they want to destroy the program? Maybe because if we call in our markers it will be one of the most successful, richest programs instilled that will benefit the most and the most deserving citizens in our country? Or maybe it was because it was given birth by a Democrat and since it was not a Republican implemented program they just can not accept the fact they failed at protecting and working for their constituents? Why do the Republicans feel main street citizens do not deserve to have a slice of the American apple pie, but they do? They only needed us to keep the greenbacks rolling into Washington and when the stream started to trickle they turned to aiding and abetting big business to raise the big bucks and to hadies with the blue collar workers. You see all our manufacturers jumping ship for the cheap sweatshop labor and we stupid consumers are helping them every step of the way by not leaving the junk lay on the shelves. And by all means keep going to the polls and putting the same scumbags into office election after election. We must give them all the time they need to get all the wealth they can before they are voted out of office. SMART aren’t we????????

      • chipshot

        DD:

You need to look at some facts that you are apparently not privy to:

        1. “A Democrat gave birth to SS wanting to help the financial providers for this country from square one.(FDR)”

Yes, DD. The second communist president of the US (FDR) pushed SS thru to give the government more power and to enhance his “wealth redistribution” scheme designed to undermine the Constitution and enlarge and grow the numbers of economic slaves in his welfare system so as to keep getting re-elected. The only “financial providers” he was trying to help was himself and the socialist party which he headed.

        2. “The Republican party fought SS tooth and nail”

Of course they fought this socialist plan which any patriotic, pro-American, Pro-Constitution American should.

        3. “every citizen has a right to (health care)”

Of course every American has a right to a decent Health Care Program, but not one funded by tax dollars and run by the itiots in congress.

        4. “You see all our manufacturers jumping ship for the cheap sweatshop labor and we stupid consumers…..”

Yes, and why are companies going to countries with lower labor and production cost? Simple: With the highest corporate income tax in the western world, with endless, federal regulations, with frivolous never ending law suits, with constant government interference and meddling, the cost of production is so high that the US cannot compete on the world market. Get the government out of the way, eliminate the unnecessary and nonsensual federal regulations (The EPA’s ludicrus ruling that CO2 is a poisionous gas comes to mind), eliminate the corporate income tax and replace it with a reasonable consumption tax, allow the US to develop their own natural resources (oil/gas/coal and etc), build nuclear power stations to provide cheap emissions-free elec power, and allow the free market to work, and I think even the brain dead liberals could see that the US could be, once again, a world leader in production of goods and services as well as have the lowest unemployment numbers in the world. But of course that would mean a reduction in the size and power of BIG GOVERNMENT, and we will never have that as long as the socialist are in control.

        5. “They keep trying to abolish the whole program through privatation, bringing new non contributing groups into the plan and now are sending SS checks to citizens in many different countries because of the sponsorship program that many wealthy CEO’s made many bucks off of but the blue collar worker is paying the tab.”

By “They” you are of course talking about those evil republicans. And if they are trying to “abolish” this rotten system, I support them 100%. But I think, once again, you have your facts wrong: “bringing new non contributing groups into the plan” I assume you would be referring to the 20 million illegals to whom the socialist party and islamobama are attempting to offer citizenship (once again to hopefully form a voting block that will keep getting them elected).
As far as “sending SS checks to citizens in many different countries”, are you saying the socialist had nothing to do with writing the laws that allow this? Those evil republicans passed all those laws without the socialist knowing about it?

Having said all that, I realize it is a waste of time since facts never influence a liberal anyway. So, all I can say is that the socialist love brain dead liberals since it helps them move us closer to the brave new world of the NWO.

        • http://Yahoo Dee D

I agree with some of what you say and disagree with other parts of your comments. I did not see FDR as a communist. I saw a man who was a cripple (due to polio) who wanted to do good for a good country and her people. I did not like the way he handled the gold. but then no one is perfect.
By the they who made big bucks on the sponsorship program – I am speaking about all the immigrants who were paid to come to America – work at American jobs, aided in purchasing businesses. starting businesses, getting medical assistance, homes, cars and anything else to help them succeed. Living tax free for the first 5 years but have to pay their sponsor a percentage of their earnings. The top CEO’S were in the positions to give them the best and easy jobs while the blue collar worker made it on his own or done without.
Another program that started breaking the backs of the working sector was the program that took my, yours and every tax payers money to pay industry 50% of wages paid for every hard core worker placed on the pay roll. They were hired over serious people who wanted, needed and would have worked had they been given the opportunity. When any elected representative will pick and choose for the big bucks and turn their backs on their own constituents and fellow citizens – sorry Charlie – I call them traitors. There is so much that takes place behind closed doors in Washington there are not enough hours for any one person to stay abreast of all that goes down and 99.99% of all reps are in it for every penny they can get and they do not care who they step on to get it.
You say high prices is causing industry to leave our shores. I can not blame the workers for getting anything they can get because they knew how bad they were being used. When they were working they also put their money back into the economy.

        • http://Yahoo Dee D

By the way chipshot – I am opposed to the One World Government and I want to see who will rule at the top of the mountain, because that is what will be happening. I do not appreciate you pre-judging me either, but that seems to be the agenda for party loyalists who put their party line ahead of what is best for a whole country. One more fact to be analyzed — Talk is the cheapest commodity God gave mankind but basically all I ever hear from a party loyalist right winger is a bunch of jibber-jabbering and shouting down an opponent. Only a Republican has the correct answers even if a few falsehoods are scattered here and there to make a point. I also hear a lot of hatred and looking down the nose at all who are not in their party linage.

Who is prejudging whom? Since it is obvious I am not a socialist then I must be a repub? Guess again. In my mind there is little difference between the repubs and the socialist. If I had to put a label on my political beliefs I would come nearer a Libertarian. Or maybe more correctly a Constitutionalist.

chipshot- I myself am an Independent. I try to do some homework and then try to pick the one I feel will do a good job for my country and each and every citizen. I’ve been wrong many times – so I follow the votes and the money and return to the polls to try to correct my mistakes. I also try to set my own term limits. When we voters keep putting in the same scum bags election after election we are telling them its okay for them to shaft us. How few realize we are able to set term limits on our employees instead of asking them to do it for us.

Amen! But as liberals and their ilk don’t read this page, we are preaching to the choir

    • http://Yahoo Dee D

Don’t count on that George. A smart person wants to know what an enemy is thinking. Why do you believe there are so many name calling and put down experts yaa whos that spew a lot of lies? Better yet – why do they feel they have to lie? Why are they afraid of truth? One even better yet – WHY ARE SO MANY WILLING TO BELIEVE A LIE AND FIGHT AND DEFEND IT OVER TRUTH IN THE FIRST PLACE????????

  • http://www.easyinvest.co.za pete

Where are the decent people coming from? Seems to me when they get elected they just go with the flow and enrich themselves and their buddies anyway; so they have an agenda to get elected and a separate agenda once they have been elected – sort of reminds me of someone!
The problem as I see it is that the one’s in power are always arrogant and the opposition is no better – so where does one go from there? Are we faced with a Hobson’s Choice situation here? That seems likely and therefore the idiocy just goes on. Nobody seems to care anymore whether anything makes sense – just keep going like a runaway train – I do not see either the Republicans or the Democrats solving the crises which face us and despair that we will find the answers.

No one is serious about fixing anything – just hell bent on preserving the mess – how is that going to help?

I have said it before and I say it once more. All that is created from borrowing and debt is worthless.

    • Flynn

I have a suggestion. Bolt both major parties and vote the Tea Party. Get out amid all the Tea Parties across this nation and throw all that rotten British tea into the sea the way the Boston patriots did at the first tea party. Sarah Palen may not be the one; but, at least, she is a start. Patrick Henry wasn’t the one either; but, at least, he had the guts to draw the line and say, “Give me liberty, or give me death.” Soon, General George Washington came along and put this nation on a path that made it last for over 200 years. Through a national Tea Party, another George Washington will come along to even out the imbalances in our nation and put it on a path to last another 200 years.

      • William Nealey

the problem with that is like Ross prot helped clinton I am afraid the tea party will only help the demacrats. we all know the average hard core demacrat is too stupid to vote any other way,

        • Vicki

You want us to vote for democrat lite claiming that voting for a real constitution supporting party (Say like the Libertarian party) is voting for a democrat. ? I don’t think so. Besides I tried for more than 30 years to vote for the lessor of 2 evils. Guess what we got. Yep. Evil.

        • AnhydrousBob

The real problem is that folks vote for the “lesser of the evils”. This can never reverse our trajectory, only slow it on its ultimate destination: destruction.

I’m voting for whoever is for SMALL government, and if some vote for someone because of an “R” by their name, then it is their fault for splitting the vote. Liberals only comprise 20% of this country according to polls.

          • http://Yahoo Dee D

AnhydrousBob; I don’t think its so much voting for the lessor evil as it is trying to keep a decent balance in Washington between parties so one side can serve as watch dogs for the other side. Canm’t tell fact from fiction any more. Too many RINO’s, wolves in sheep clothing and way too many party jumpers now. You really do not know who, what or how low life contenders they are until they are in office and you see first hand how they vote.

          • Claire

DeeD–I will have to agree with you on this one. Once an politician enters the White House/Congress it is up for grabs.

      • DaveH

If Sarah Palin is representative of the Tea Party, don’t count on any government downsizing. The fact that she is stumping for John McCain tells me that she wouldn’t be up to the task.
There is only one Political Party that understands the Freedom that our Founders tried to institute in this country. That is the Libertarian Party.
There are those that say it doesn’t have a chance, but look what happened in the 23rd district of New York. Doug Hoffman splintered from the Republican Party and got 46% of the vote, compared to 48.3% by the Democrat winner. He would have won if the RINO Scozzafava hadn’t thrown her support to the Democrat.
If people really learned about the Principles of the Libertarian Party and why those principles would work, we would have no problem getting the vote. The main problem we have is the lack of exposure as neither the Democrat leaders or the Republican leaders want less Government (and less power).
Fortunately, Fox is breaking the mold and giving airtime to the Libertarians. John Stossel on Fox Business Channel is doing a terrific job of explaining our beliefs. Go John!
Let’s take our country back from the Politicians. Vote Libertarian:

        • Bill H

DaveH – I guess you never heard of the Constitution Party. You may want to check them out Constitutionparty.com. You may find a new home. They are working hard to field candidates as we speak.

    • William Nealey

pete you are so right. now come election time go to the poles and carefully look at the mallot and unless the incumbant has an outstanding record of working for the people vote for his-her oppenant as I am going to do. I remember many years ago a guy I worked with in a furniture plant said his dad told him if you had to borrow money to buy anything you didn’t need it. you just thought you did. he said life wasn’t easey but his dad paid cash or did without,it’s obviouse his dad was no demacrat. that furniture plant along with many others has been closed for years now moved to china. so when you go to a thomasville gallarie you are looking at made in china. repaired in thomasville and repaked in thomasville. I would not buy one stick of thomasville or any other brand unless they could prove to me it was made here at home,

      • http://Don'thaveone Sally

Thanks William. In the very near future I need to buy various pieces of new furniture. In the past, I really liked Thomasville but now no way. Thanks for the tip.

  • Loyde Williams

Why is it taking so long for the American people to do what is right and what is necessary ——-IMPEACH THE DUMMY!!!!@!

    • Flynn

How can we “impeach the dummy” when Nancy Pelozi is in charge of the House of Representatives. Nancy would throw out any impeachment bill so fast that it would make one’s head swim in confusion. If I understand the Constitution correctly, impeachment proceedings must be initiated in the House (or by 3/4ths of the State Legislatures). Can you imagine getting 3/4ths of the State Legislatures to vote to impeach? It would have to be for a very grave sin. Even the antichrist is not yet guilty of that kind of sin, at least not in the way that it can be proven.

      • http://www.data-technologies.net Pete Gandy

OK so we don’t have a chance to impeach him.
Can we just send him back to the village in Kenya that is missing it’s idiot?

        • JC

hahahaha…thanks Pete! made my day :)

      • http://Don'thaveone Sally

I agree. Look at all that crap that Clinton did, especially lying under oath and we couldn’t get him impeached. Hopefully, when it all comes out that the anointed one is NOT a natural born American, then we can get him out plus nullify all the wrongs that he has done. This I pray on each evening.

        • Janie

          Sally,
Bill Clinton WAS IMPEACHED!!! But the House & Senate decided/voted to LET him REMAIN in office to the end of his Term. Google it and you will find the story and date he WAS IMPEACHED. The Mainstream Media didn’t talk about it. They did announce it VERY Quickly in a VERY Short News report on air for 2 days. Most People didn’t pick up what they were saying.

          • Claire

            Janie— You are correct.

          • http://Yahoo Dee D

Janie, Clinton was impeached for lying under oath about having consequential sex with a female. Now how about impeaching a mass murderer by the Name of Cheney? I’m not defending Clinton nor condemning him either. My God will handle it in the right manner in due time. But which is the lesser evil? Now I have a question- How can anyone expect any human being to correct any situation, good, bad, evil, greedy and all based on corruption and lies and condemn a man because they feel he is not moving fast enough to correct years and years of wrong doings by many men that went before him? Got an answer for me? I’m willing to listen.

          • Claire

DeeD–I don’t know how any President will ever be able to straighten out this mess. It will take years and years, especially since it took decades to get into this chaos.

          • Claire

I wish to add the word “Congress” to my comment. Especially since it is Congress that has the true power.

          • DaveH

Obama isn’t making any effort to straighten out the mess. He is making it much, much messier.

The thing with Clinton was that he was representative of the party that made the Big Brouhaha about Sexual Harassment. If it is indeed a problem, there is no more powerful sexual harasser in the country than the president. If he isn’t expected to follow the code of ethics that his followers are suing Big Business about, then who is? Isn’t it odd how people will stick up for any kind of bad behavior as long as the perpetrator is in their gang?

And don’t whine to me about the Republicans; I’m not one of them.

          • Claire

DaveH–Not to worry. We all know you are a Libertarian. Me? After all these years, I do not consider myself a Republican or a Democrat anymore. I am shifting away from them.

    • http://www.data-technologies.net Pete Gandy

      Hey watch it there!
My Nephew who has a hobby of ventriqulism said you just insulted his DUMMY!

I agree, impeach the alleged President/illegal Alain.

    • William Nealey

because you still have so many of the idiots who voted for change without even asking what kind of chang!!

      • Vicki

Or worse yet did not bother to listen to him when he told them on the Campaign trail exactly what “change” he was planning.

      • http://Yahoo Dee D

William; I would not call a voter an idiot – I will however call any voter who has not got the intelligence to return to the polls and try to correct a mistake the true idiot. Who are these people who keep putting the same bums into office election after election? Are they the idiots you are speaking of?

        • cr747

Dee D, Green back dollars will make a person do a lot of things. That’s how Obama got elected. One of the men behind it would be Chicago Mayor Daley himself. He is as crooked as they come. Of course he wasn’t the only one. He had to go out of Chicago to do it, so that people didn’t know him!!!!!!!!!

          • http://Yahoo Dee D

cr747- I think the green back dollar is the major reason most lawyers throw their hat into the political ring. They are intelligent enough to know they can lead the average joe blow around with a ring in their noses long enough to amass the pile of greenbacks they want to aquire. They only have to convince joe blow to be a good and faithful party liner and keep putting them in office term after term. It seems to be working pretty well for some of the worst scum bags. An honest politician doesn’t stand a chance because since he/she is not on the take their money vault is pretty bare. Money talks!!!!!!

          • cr747

Dee D, As you know I am an attorney, but you can bet your rear that I’m not banging on their doors to throw my hat in. If I did, it wouldn’t be for the money. I guarantee you that there are people in Washington that are not paying their fair share of taxes, but I don’t seem to see them turning mine down. My Dad was A Congressman for 16 years, and I do not want any part of it.
I am a democrat, but I vote for the individual. I do not care which they are, I will vote for the person that I believe will do the best job. That is why I did not vote for Obama!!!!!!!!!

          • http://Yahoo Dee D

cr747 – No I did not know you are an attorney. I really and truly know of only one honest attorney in my area. He’ll never get rich but he sure will take on any corrupt entity, which includes any crooked police department, city shyster or any judge who abuses the system in any way.
He will not shyster anyone. If you do not have a case he tells you up front you are beating a dead horse and it would drag out so long you would go broke before justice could be done.

    • http://Yahoo Dee D

Way too many party loyalists Loyde. Many voters quit following the action to try to correct any mistake they make. They went and voted, so they done their duty as a citizen.

  • Ramon

Are you people serious. Go after the people who put us in this mess in the first place, Bush and his administration. Maybe even Clinton. The hatred and misguidedness in which think and speak is obvious. Why are Americans always trying to point the finger at someone when most of your probelms are of your own doing. LOOK IN THE MIRROR. Lets hope people like this don’t make it to heaven B/C it doesn’t need that. You’ll fit right in at the other place.

    • Ken

That is what is wromg with most of the voters in this country, opinions and no facts to back it up. This housing give away started with Bill Clinton in 1999 when he signed a bill to allow people to buy a house without sufficent means under pressure of all the liberal groups and of course the more you give away the more votes your party will get. The Democrats have been buying votes with our tax money for years. By the way, do you think that the banks would loan money to people that they know do not qualify without a bail out promise from the government.
Do your homework before you make decisions rather than out of the box personal opinions. I am an independent voter and I take the time to investigate before I make a decision on voting, after all this depends on the future for all of us.
Evidently you are happy with the current administration. Looks like you have put the wolf in charge of the hen house and cannot recognise it. You must be a reciever rather than a tax payer!

      • http://chipwoods robert williams

        Ken, you’re half right.
Clinton signed the bill, that had been pushed hard and passed by the repulican house and senate.
That means both of the major parties are to blame. Same thing for the bailouts. Same thing for the deficit.

        • http://Yahoo Dee D

Amen Big Al – It’s all one big political game and we voters are allowing ourselves to be led to slaughter almost the same way Hitler was able to kill so very many innocent people. Ours is not ovens but the OWG. I think all our reps have bought into the concept and it will be the beginning of the end for American Democracy.

      • http://Yahoo Dee D

Sorry Ken; The deregulation landslide started under Regan.

    • William Nealey

ramon is one of those who voted for change without asking what kind of change and aparently he doesn’t watch Fox news and see whats going on in the world he just like some of my friends only listen to the dems talking points and says hear hear,

      • http://Yahoo Dee D

William – if Ramon had asked he probably would have been told a lie. Just maybe he wanted change because he realized we could not continue on the downhill spiral that was killing so very many innocents people and making so many countries hate us and seeing us as the enemy and bully for the first time in the over 200 year history of our country. Ramon to get all the guilty scumbags we will have to go way way back and sweep the whole White House clean, maybe tear it apart brick by brick and erect a one room shanty for them to work in. One vacation a year – no free voting for raises for themselves. They get no more or no less than any other citizen in America. When we have one rep pushing for perks for one state – if there isn’t enough for all 50 states – throw it out. One for all and all for one.
Check into the John Mertha Airport as an example and see how a lot of money is being wasted on 3 flights a day at the taxpayers expense.

        • cr747

Dee D, same amount of soldiers being wounded, and killed, but Obama want let,”the bought out news companies,” report it. ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, they are the ones that have been bought out.. Only available reliable news now on TV is FOX NEWS, like it or not. FOX want let this administration buy them out.

          • http://Yahoo Dee D

Have to disagree with you cr747 – Do some checking into the ownership of every channel you mentioned and you will truly learn who is controlling the so called (NEWS?) media (lies and propaganda) here in America. Why is it foreign nations can get true news concerning our state of affairs while Americans only can get what they want us to be told? Check party affiliations on the ownership of same and you will see why there is so very little investigating reporting going on.

          • DaveH

            Dee,
All anybody can do is to learn as much as possible, and then make judgements accordingly.
As far as Fox goes, they let all sorts of people make their arguments. And they talk about important events that no other network will address. What could they do to make you happy, besides presenting only the Liberal side of issues?
They have Democrats, Republicans, and Libertarians presenting their viewpoints. It’s up to you to choose who you think makes the most compelling case.
Even on shows like John Stossel’s (Libertarian) on Fox Business Network, they allow Liberals to present their side (as disgusting as it is).
I have seen no other network that comes even remotely close to telling all sides of the story.
I am very keen to the bias at the other networks being a lifelong Libertarian. The MSM has shut Libertarians out of the debate for decades.
            Thank goodness for Fox.

      • http://Yahoo Dee D

One important fact to be observed Will ———-Faux Noise lies. Why do they have to lie? Why does truth scare them?

        • DaveH

You remind me of those 3 monkeys, see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil.
Obama has broken promise after promise, and you follow him like a little lost sheep.

          • cr747

DaveH, Very well spoken. I agree with what you have stated. Fox will take any and everybody’s opinion and debate it with them. The other networks will not give you the time of day.

I want to throw up every time I see Katie Couric (spelling??) come on the air. I can’t change channels fast enough.

          • http://Yahoo Dee D

Sorry Dave – you are in error again. I do not follow the dictates of 99.99% of our politicians housed in Washington. They are almost all money grubbibg, lying, thieving traitors of our country and her citizens.

Dee D,, and the news sources I spoke of will take all the good points,, and discuss them,, but you get someone who has saved someones life,, or their own life by being armed with a firearm and has a concealed carry permit,, you won’t here a word on the news about it.. Let someone get raped,, or killed by a firearm,, they will run it for weeks on end.. For instance the Jealous One Of Palin,,”Katie Couric” will even do a documentary on it.. She’s obnoxious, rude, over bearing, self centered,, kind of reminds me of Nancy Peloisamino.. In other words the South end of a North bound JACKASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • DaveH

Because Ramon, we don’t think with our Lizard Brains like the Liberals do. We know that Bush is no longer in office. And we know the Democrats were in control the last two years of Bush’s presidency. And we know that the Democrat Congressmen have rarely seen a spending Bill they couldn’t embrace, or a dependent citizen who they couldn’t encourage to stay dependent.
The fact that we don’t attack Bush says nothing about our opinion of his policies. It is only because we are intelligent enough to know that he is not currently the problem; Obama is the current problem.

      • http://Yahoo Dee D

DaveH; Just how big is a lizard brain?

Don’t necessarily agree with you Dave, but if you think your comments make you look smart go for it.

    • momof4

      Ramon,
Yes the Bush administration spent way too much but you have to remember Obama was in the senate and voted for all of it. The Dems have had control cogress since 2006. They are just as much to blame for the Bush spending. Bush should have used his veto pen a little more instead of trying to reach accross the isle to Dems who always want to spend spend spend and tax tax tax. I don’t get your comment
about heaven, whats that suppose to mean.

    • cr747

Ramon, you are so wrong. The previous administration had nothing to do with Obama being elected. People believed every word Obama said. There’s more ways to size up a candidate then just listening to him speak. Read that candidates expressions, his actions. The first debate he was in made my mind up real quick. I could tell right away he was a lier!!!!!!!!!!!

  • http://victorbarney@embarqmail.com Victor L Barney

I have to agree with Glenn Beck on this one and that is: it’s the environment stupid! This New World Order Government is coming in the “guise” of Environmentalism! It is another Government scam, of coarse, but it will still happen. It’s always only really about power and control and using people on the fringes to make it happen and all the people end up suffering by it’s consequences!

    • William Nealey

well spoken Victor and so true. the damned environmentalist have dam near ruined this country and we dont have any one in washington with Balls enough to shut them down. they trample all over the constitution and no one does a damned thing about it, they should have been shut down years ago,

      • http://www.data-technologies.net Pete Gandy

Well, don’t forget the damned layers.
Look how fast they are jumping on suing Toyota etc.
Hell folk, the floor mat problem has been around since some idiot decided a floor mat should be put there.
If your pedal is getting stuck under the floor mat throw the damned thing out!
Or is a floor mat smarter than you?

Also it wouldn’t be to bad an idea to be able to control your car in an emergency.
Try neutral and breaks when the floor mat puts you in the go faster mode.
        Learn to drive the car.
If pilots were so badly trained in their equipment there would be crashes all over the country daily.

        • William Nealey

again pete you are spot on, the damned trial lawyers are the biggest problem with health care,

        • Ken

Toyota’s problem is not the floor mat and they really do not know what is causing the problem. The only way to solve the problem is to get one of those cars that has had the problem and diagnose every electronic component with the fuel feed and the cruise control. This will not be solved any time soon. The floor mat is just a pass off until the real problem is found. My opinion only but a dealer told me that they had not found the real problem. The problem with Toyota is that they are getting on the band wagon with the rest of the car company’s and buying parts from outside and you know where that is taking us. I expect that the law suits are justified but it will ultimately wind up with the maker of the components.

        • DaveH

The very first thing to do when your accelerator is stuck is to shut off the motor! Train yourself to turn that key in such emergency.

          • JC

Or just throw it in neutral and hit the brakes. Killing the ignition could lock the steering wheel.

          • DaveH

Good Point, JC. In modern cars you can’t turn the key all the way because of the lock mechanism. I think you can damage your automatic transmission on some vehicles by driving with it in neutral.

        • http://none Big Al

So Pete, if your accelerator got stuck in a Toyota, you wouldn’t sue right? Suuurrreeeee.

      • http://Yahoo Dee D

William; When I was 11 yrs. of age I was lucky enough to make a trip to California. I was amazed that I could swim in the pacific ocean during the day but had to sleep under blankets during the night to stay warm. That was a new experience for me. I remember a scientist who made the statement that over a period of time the east and west coast would change climates. At the time I thought that would not be a possibility – however it’s happening. So we may not be having the environmentalism events that’s being told so much as mother nature doing a job she was supposed to do to maybe get our earth in a position to accept the future consequences that will happen with or without man kinds help. Think about it, man really has perfected the art of tearing down things and label it as progress.

I am sick and tired of Johnny come lately deficit hawks who stood by silently allowing Bush to keep war costs off the books and excluded from the budget. What did you think you were doing? Clearly you were giving Bush authority to spend whatever he wanted without oversight and without disclosure of costs. Bush obviously took Cheney’s advice that deficits don’t matter and so did you.

    • http://www.data-technologies.net Pete Gandy

      Sir,
      Your a bit off base.
No one with any sense ever allowed Bushes spending, “except militarily” any more than this Jerk!
Progressive Liberals and Progressive Conservatives are by and large the same thing.
So I’m not defending Bush and I haven’t seen any comments here to suggest anyone else has either.
Your comments do suggest you are defending this alleged president who surrounds himself with Communists, Socialists, Marxists.
I don’t know where you have been in this world nor how old you are but I bet you haven’t spent any time in a country ran by a dictator, a socialists government or even a Communist government.
      It always fails.
Since we have slid down that slippery hill to running our country as a Democracy instead of a Republic we have steadily rolling like a snow ball toward socialism which will very rapidly morph into Communism.
All Democracies fail at about our time in history.
Why? Because when you allow people to vote who live off entitlements they vote for those who increase entitlements. They increase the entitlements to keep their power. Sound like a snow ball yet.
Also when a society reaches a entitlement paid society plus government worker/employee level that is over 35% the Democracy is usually doomed.
We have surpassed 35% funding of entitlements and government employees.
Where is the money coming from to pay these people?
Those at the entitlement branch contribute nothing so why?
Government has too many jobs, why. Because they usually are over paid and do not have the skills to make it in the real world.

Socialism is great until you run out of other people’s money!

      • William Nealey

Pete again I agree wit you 100%

      • DaveH

        Well said Pete.

        • DaveH

          True Al,
We need to get over that futile idea that we can change the world by force.

    • Linda

You’re right. They’re all spending way too much. However, prior to Obama, spending was more gradual and less noticeable by the American people. We needed an Obama in the White House to put the outlandish spending on steroids in order to open our eyes. Hopefully, future elections will reflect our new awareness.

      • http://www.data-technologies.net Pete Gandy

Problem with steroids is the good is only temporary. Then the bad shows it’s ugly head!
Look at the body builders when they were 25 and on steroids. Now look at them at the age of 50! IF THEY ARE ALIVE!

    • TeresaE

No, I didn’t. I tried to get others to care, I voted for conservatives and I was TICKED off that everyone is living in idiot world.

What those like you neglect to see is Bush inherited the loss of our biggest industry – Y2K and dotcom, then 9/11.

Clinton spent everydime of his once-in-a-lifetime tax revenues, and then he increased spending but pushed it into the next President’s term.

THIS President and THIS Congress are spending at rates that make Bush look like an amateur.

Wake the heck up and realize BOTH parties are killing this country and GUARANTEEING our children will grow up in poverty.

      • William Nealey

you are so right TeresaE. and there are too many Idiots who still think obummer is the next comeing,

      • http://none Big Al

Yes, Clinton handed Bush increased spending….and the government was still a surplus, and the end of the deficit was visible within the decade. Spending beyond control is wrong no matter who did it. Stop just blaming Obama. That’s exactly what these damn politicians are realying on–they can say or do anything as long as they give you a boogie man to blame it on.

        • http://Yahoo Dee D

Big Al: Clinton’s surplus was on paper only.
Deficit was 871 Billion in 1980.
          Regan——————3.7 or.8 Trillion
          Bush Sr.—————4.8 Trillion
          Clinton—————-5.6 Trillion
          CHENEY/Bush Jr———11.5 Trillion

          What’s the figure now?

      • http://Yahoo Dee D

Yes TeresaE and us educated voters are helping them every step of the way.

        • DaveH

          Educated?
Where did you get the figure of 11.5 trillion? I assume you’re talking about the National Debt, which was $10 Trillion when Bush left office. There was much hubbub in the Liberal press about the fact that the National Debt grew from a little less than $6 Trillion to $10 Trillion in the 8 years Bush was in office. That’s $.5 Trillion per year. Compare that to $2 Trillion added on already during Obama’s first year.

            Since 1945:
The Republicans had the majority in the House of Representatives 14 out of 65 years. The Democrats had the majority in the House of Representatives 50 out of 65 years.
The Republicans had the majority in the Senate 20 out of 65 years. The Democrats had the majority in the Senate 45 out of 65 years.
Those Pesky Republicans sure did a lot of spending in their short years at the helm.

Al (the idiot) Gore went a little nuts on that. He had CHADS hanging out of his arse. He wanted to count them to. He was beat fair and square!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Robert Tourville

I agree with Charles Lynn’s comment, MCcain had to document all his qualifications to be president under Article 2 Section 1.

Barrack Hussein Obama, or is it Barrack Muhammad Obama, or is it Barry Satoro, and his dozens of social security #s, anyway you get my point, we don’t know anything about him.

I am convinced he is an undocumented worker and was planted here to do a job, destroy this country.

      Agreed.

Robert; Can you tell me how John McCain has been able to amass such a large Social Security Check? I’ve not learned much myself but as I recall he went into the service while he was very young and then into politics shortly after.

Somewhere in this series of 6 there is a section where a California Union Rep tells Stossel that 70% of Public (Government) Union Workers only get $2500 a month when they retire. Only! I wish I had that kind of pension:

Dave – may be so for union workers but doesn’t the reps we elect get to retire with every cent they are paid to represent us as well as the raises they vote for themselves. If I’m wrong let me know.

  • Flynn

    Mr. Gandy:

I hope what you write about Social Security is correct; at least, that is the way it is supposed to be; but, in recent years, I have come to realize that Social Security is just another tax for the politicians to spend on Earmarks merely to get reelected. If you really want a Social Security that is like the theoretical one of which you write, then it may be better to have a good financial adviser and develop one’s very own. In this case, it is much better to begin as young as possible.

    • http://www.data-technologies.net Pete Gandy

      Your absolutely right.
I never thought that a Social Security system was a good idea anyway.
I never said I support the idea of any system where the Government should be my Nanny! Social Security as designed was a Nanny State idea.
It was designed to take care of those who don’t do as you said about providing for themselves.
I would have loved to have that money to invest in a real money saving possible making system.
I never said I didn’t plan and work for the future.
I just said the Socialistic Government that set it up and confiscated the money does owe it to those who paid it.
As usual it morphs into something else. Bad something else.

    • William Nealey

Mr. Gandy is correct about social security. it was originaly set up as a seperate fund and had enough money in it to last forever till lyndon bains johnson and the damned demacrats decided that was a good source of revenue to finance the vietnam war with out having to rase taxes thereby making the people aware of their tax and spend ways,

As far as your Liberal right to healthcare goes, answer me this:
What will kill you sooner as a normal person, Lack of Food, Lack of Shelter, or Lack of a Doctor?
Of course, lack of food comes first, which would be followed by lack of shelter. So, don’t we therefore have a right to food and shelter as well as healthcare? If you think so, I have outed you as a Communist, as there is no other way to force those imagined rights.

    • DCK

We had eight years of Bush and Cheney, Now you get mad!

Bush came into office after a year of recession. Through most of his presidency the stock market doubled and unemployment was at 4 percent…

You didn’t get mad when the Supreme Court stopped a legal recount and
      appointed a President..

What legal recount?! Florida election law stated I believe THREE recounts. Gore had them recounting for months, counting ‘hanging chads,’ which by the way, ARE NOT LEGAL VOTES! he was also trying to get endless recounts in only certain areas (democrat strongholds). All the Supreme Court did was put an end to the endless ILLEGAL RECOUNTS!

You didn’t get mad when Cheney allowed Energy company officials to dictate
      energy policy.

I think energy company officials might know more about energy than than bureaucrats do.

You didn’t get mad when a covert CIA operative got ousted.

      She wasn’t a covert operative.

You didn’t get mad when the Patriot Act got passed.

Didn’t see many more attacks after 9/11 did we?

You didn’t get mad when we illegally invaded a country that posed no threat to
      us.

In 1991 Iraq signed a cease fire of which any violation gave us the LEGAL RIGHT to go back to war with them. They violated it NUMEROUS TIMES throughout the 90s. At least Bush had the balls to do something about it, unlike his predecessor who only did anything militarily to take the heat off himself when he got his dork caught in the intern jar.

You didn’t get mad when we spent over 600 billion(and counting) on said
      illegal war.

      It wasn’t illegal. see above.

You didn’t get mad when over 10 billion dollars just disappeared in Iraq .

      see above.

You didn’t get mad when you found out we were torturing people.

Playing loud music and putting a wet towel over someone’s face doesn’t add up to torture.

You didn’t get mad when the government was illegally wiretapping Americans.

If your calling Bin Laden or his cronies, I say let ‘em listen.

You didn’t get mad when we didn’t catch Bin Laden.

He was handed to Clinton on a silver platter, and Billy let him go!

You didn’t get mad when you saw the horrible conditions at Walter Reed.

      Huh?

You didn’t get mad when we let a major US city drown.

New Orleans was hit by two massive hurricanes in a row. Maybe the president and congress should pass a bill that makes it illegal for hurricanes to come onto American soil. That’ll stop that from ever happening again!

You didn’t get mad when we gave a 900 billion tax break to the rich.

The tax breaks were across the board. I got a tax break, and I ain’t rich. I might remind you that it’s the rich folks and people who invest their money to become rich who CREATE JOBS!!!!

You didn’t get mad when the deficit hit the trillion dollar mark.

Sure did. But at least the economy was humming along nicely and the deficit could be paid down.

You finally got mad when the government decided that people in America
deserved the right to see a doctor if they are sick. Yes, illegal wars, lies,
corruption, torture, stealing your tax dollars to make the rich richer, are all
okay with you, but helping other Americans… oh hell no.

No one in this country, whether here legally or not, is denied the ‘right’ to see a doctor. You go into any hospital emergency room and they let you in, whether you have insurance or not. This damn health care bill is, just like the stimulus bill before it, nothing but a big giveaway to special interest (ie PAYING OFF POLITICAL FAVORS) and just like the stimulus bill will do NOTHING to help the people it’s supposed to. Get the damn lawyers out of the mix, open up the ability to sell insurance across state lines and get unnecessary crap out like boob jobs and tummy tucks, and you’ll find insurance becomes a lot more affordable. Then pass something to ‘help’ (read: help!) people who truly can’t afford to totally pay for it on their own, and the problem is solved. But turning our healthcare system over to the federal government will not only NOT help those people, it would totally screw-up the system for everybody!

    • JC

I spent a good part of my life in Canada. (business reasons) Believe me, you don’t want socialized government health care. Nor do you want government granting you your rights.

3- Walmart was selling contaminated health aids to our adults again from China.
4-Walmart was selling contaminated baby formula that killed some babies and some Doctors knew about it and have been prosecuted in China.
5-Walmart treats their help here in America just the same way they treat their slave labor in China.
Have a talk with someone you personally know who has worked at or still does work at a walmart store.
My Granddaughter worked at a store they opened and she is a worker not a shirker.
They are out to close all our old time locals and our consumers are helping their cause. When they get control then you will pay their prices or you will not buy. Please learn all you can and please do not take my word for it.

          • Claire

Dee D–Now you can add kids’ jewelry to your list. I go to Walmart but I try like heck never to purchase anything made in China or in any other country. I also remember the dog food scare. The store here in town still kept the tainted dog food on the shelves!! I reported it to the clerk and she told me it was up to the “manager” to remove the dog food. So much for that. Another item–I always puchase the washcloths since I use them for the dogs, and the last few bundles I bought stunk like the dickens. It took two washings to get that chemical smell out of them. So I won’t buy them anymore either. China has sold this garbage to America for years. Sure, they are our “friends.” With friends like this, who needs enemies.

Your knowledge of economics is deficient. Deficits are of concern in the long run, but not when the country/world is on the brink of a botomless economic abyss. Obama’s stimulus package should have been bigger, but it has apparently saved our economy from a depression.

    • DaveH

Economics in a nutshell from a nut.
If creating new money and excessive government spending was the answer to a bad economy, there would be no poor countries. Any fool can spend money, and any government can create new money.
Do you honestly think adding unbacked money to the system somehow changes a countries productivity? As more money chases fewer goods the pre-existing dollars become worth less and thus the savings of hard working people lose their buying power. This severely damages peoples’ incentive to be productive. And after all, the goods and services produced by the working citizens is the real economy. The money only acts as a facilitator of trade.

OK when you can’t pay your bills go out and use your credit cards.
      Make sense to you?
Damm I’m amazed at this logic of borrowing our way out of debt!

      • Tim

Leading economists have said that had Obama not passed a stimulus bill, that the unemployment would have been a lot worse than the 9.7% that it’s at.

        • DaveH

Oh sure, and that makes it true. There are also many “leading” economists who state the opposite.
Did you ever hear of the Panic of 1907? Probably not, because it came and went in about a year. The Free Market without intervention from the government worked things out.
Contrast that with the Depression, where government got heavily involved, and which lasted over 10 years.
Throwing good money after bad is never the solution. The bankers and other institutions who got themselves into trouble should have been left to fail. The pieces would have been picked up by the bankers and other institutions that pursued the proper policies. As it is, the know-nothing politicians have just extended the company lives of those who pursue wrong-headed policies.
I contend that without the bailouts (especially GM which deserved to die at the hands of its Unions) this economy would recover much more quickly. How can you disprove me, unless you have a crystal ball?

Time will tell, but I predict massive inflation and a continuing bad economy, when the excess dollars created (now on the sidelines) come rushing into the marketplace to buy increasingly scarce goods.

        • DaveH

And sure “unemployment would have been a lot worse”. Easy for you to say. Anybody can make unfounded predictions of what might have been. The fact is that unemployment was at 7.6% when Obama took office and it is now 9.7%. So unemployment has grown under Obama. That is the fact.

        • AnhydrousBob

All those “leading economists” are Keynesians, spouting the Keynesian rhetoric. What do some Non-Keynesian economists say?

    • http://Yahoo Dee D

Obamas approach was wrong. He should have centered his stimulus for the people. The banks would have gotten their money – just not the humongus interest would have been made. At this rate they are still making the big bucks at the expense of Main Street American citizens.

  • http://Hubpages.com Ralph Deeds

    James Baird–great comment!

  • http://Kamaria32@hotmail.com Kamaria

The deficit will begin to go down in a couple of years once Obama starts taking control of peoples 401K’s. Then he will supposedly add that money to the Social Security Fund. Then it will soon disappear as the Social Security money did. He will use the money to pay down the national debt! It has already begun! Any 401K’s that were held by the banks that have gone under so far, are already in Obama’s control.

    • http://www.data-technologies.net Pete Gandy

Yeah, those damned rich people with 401Ks.
Let them pay for it. They worked hard for that little money in the 401K but they need to help us dead beats out of the trouble we are creating.

When the 401K was hatched I thought it was a very bad idea!
I didn’t have a good grip on why but then I learned I was more right than I ever thought possible. Socialists can spend our money faster and in more ways than I can ever get a grip on.

    • Joe H.

      Kamaria,
As iasked another poster the other night could you please post a site I can read about the 401K accounts? I can’t find any!

  • http://www.data-technologies.net Pete Gandy

Social Security is gone already. We give it to dead beats who never produced one nickle for it. We give it to them from birth to death. Now we are taking it away from those who paid or are paying into it just to keep giving more to the dead beats.
Hummm let’s have another kid to get more Wellfare! RIGHT!

    • Tim

You are wrong about people collecting Social Security who never paid a nickel into it. To even qualify for collecting either Social Security disability or retirement, one must first WORK for a designated period of years. If you don’t believe me, go to the web site of the Social Security Administration yourself, or give them a call.

You are mostly correct Tim however, I read an article about a woman collecting for 8 children from SSI because she could not work (evidentally she had worked in the past) however, since the children were under 18 each child received in excess of $1,000.00 per month until they were 18, supposidly this lady was an illegal alien. What you say is true as long as you are a caucasian and not one of the minorities applying for SSI. I understand it takes about 2 years to get and is based on what you previously made however, along with the funds which are paltry (in the case I know about $600 a month, she has no children under 18) you get Medicade which is a big boost if under 65. I didn’t as of yet had time to check out the story above with the 8 children.

      • Joe H.

        tim,
Wrong! up till a few years ago the politicians could collect social security without EVER paying into it! that loophole was closed about 10″?” years ago!!! I went to college with a kid that had a full ride package including room and board all from social security! His Parents were both alive and were collecting!

      • http://Yahoo Dee D

Do a little more research Tim. It takes the average American 40 quarters to qualify to receive SS whereas Cheney/Bush wanted to lower that to 10 points for all the illegals they wanted to legalize. Remember who owns and runs the refinery plants housed in Texas and learn how many that have been allowed to fall into ruin and disrepair elsewhere in the USA. You would not say that may be a big part of the plan as to why we are moving so slow about alternative fuels would you>
It’s been proven that fuel can be made from chicken, horse and cow dung, but somrone always manages to but the farmers out. WHY??????

None of this should be a surprise, if one understands who Obama really is, which you can better do by reading “The Obama Timeline,” by Don Fredrick. Stunning book and VERY well-documented.

I only got Mad when Cheney elected to take the easy route and not run to succeed his boss since he was always the most experienced and the most qualified.
I only got mad when the Florida election was submitted to the Supreme Court in the first place when every one knew that Buxh and Cheney carried all of Florida except Miami (the Cubans) and Fort Lauderdale (the Transplanted Yankees).
Someone needs to dictate energy policy in this country because we have none otherwise, certainly none that comes from the Congress or the people.
I only got mad when the Media and the Congress won’t allow the CIA to do its job and write our CIA operative’s death warrant with their publicity.
I only got mad when the Congress couldn’t wait to dismantle the Patriot Act.
I only got mad when President Bush prematurely declared a victory after Saddam Hussein was captured before the was over.
I only got mad when President Bush and President Obama spent trillions of dollars on bank bailouts and stimulus packages that never worked.
How about the trillions of stimulus that has disappeared in the U.S.
I only got mad when the tortured people tortured the poor, hard working patriots working at the World Trade Center in New York City.
I only got mad when the governemt would not get the info needed to protect us however it could get it.
I only got mad when Bill Clinton had bin Laden in his sights, and he gave the order not to shoot.
What horrible conditions at Walter Reed? This is the best military hospital with the best doctors and nurses in the world. You been reading too much Media propaganda.
I only got mad when I saw people wading out of the murky water in New Orleans begging for a handout when they were to lazy to help themselves.
The rich always get a tax break because the rich can always afford an army of lawyers and accountants to search for the most appropriate means to expand their businesses and to create real jobs.
I only got mad when the deficit hit the multi-trillion dollar mark, and we had an irresponsible President who could care less.
Without the ability of the rich to get richer, there are (and will be) no real jobs. Obama is finding that out real fast.

THIS IS THE WAY IT SHOULD BE………

    Harry Truman

Harry Truman was a different kind of President. He probably made as many important decisions regarding our nation’s history as any of the other 42 Presidents. However, a measure of his greatness may rest on what he did after he left the White House.

The only asset he had when he died was the house he lived in, which was in Independence Missouri . His wife had inherited the house from her mother and other than their years in the White House, they lived their entire lives there.

When he retired from office in 1952, his income was a U.S. Army pension reported to have been $13,507.72 a year. Congress, noting that he was paying for his stamps and personally licking them, granted him an ‘allowance’ and, later, a retroactive pension of $25,000 per year..

After President Eisenhower was inaugurated, Harry and Bess drove home to Missouri by themselves. There were no Secret Service following them.

When offered corporate positions at large salaries, he declined, stating, “You don’t want me. You want the office of the President, and that doesn’t belong to me. It belongs to the American people and it’s not for sale.”

Even later, on May 6, 1971, when Congress was preparing to award him the Medal of Honor on his 87th birthday, he refused to accept it, writing, “I don’t consider that I have done anything which should be the reason for any award, Congressional or otherwise.”

As president he paid for all of his own travel expenses and food.

Modern politicians have found a new level of success in cashing in on the Presidency, resulting in untold wealth. Today, many in Congress also have found a way to become quite wealthy while enjoying the fruits of their offices. Political offices are now for sale. (sic. Illinois)
Good old Harry Truman was correct when he observed, “My choices in life were either to be a piano player in a whore house or a politician. And to tell the truth, there’s hardly any difference!

I say dig him up and clone him!!

    • s c

Marion, hero crowing is not a good idea. Truman is history.
I have a question for you. At the end of WWII, it was decided that a certain leader in SE Asia could have tons of small caliber rifles and ammunition – courtesy of our military and the president.
That SE Asian leader was Ho Chi Minh. He became the leader of North Vietnam. The name of the president who let Ho have the weapons and ammunition was HST himself. Oooops! That fact doesn’t get taught much in American history classes.
My point is NOT that we never get a president who is perfect. My point is that our presidents are always surrounded by “advisors” who are allowed to help ‘formulate’ decisions. HST did an incredibly stupid thing to help Uncle Ho. We paid dearly for that one, and we’re still paying for it.
Hero crowing should be left to those who revere the Founding Fathers. They were a breed apart, and I fear that we will never see more leaders like them.

      • Tim

Speaking of making stupid foreign policy blunders, Reagan funded a military buildup in Iraq during the Iraq/Iran War, which took place during the 1980s. Reagan later admitted that he made a booboo.

        • JeffH

Tiny Tim, you just love to live in the past don’t you. Try another spin on your views, you might even learn that the “truth will set you free”.

      • W. B “Bill” McCaslin

HST was a failed dry goods salesman. He was never meant to be President. Roosevelt died suddenly in Warm Springs Georgia of massive stroke or cardiac arrest. No autopsy was performed. The exact cause is not certain. There is a theory his reluctance to enter into war in Europe was the cause. The Military Industrian Complex, Eisenhower warnd We The People about was already at Adult stage ( metamorphosis of insects). Egg, Larvae, Pupae, (Cocoon,) Adult.

MIC and Pearl Harbor got us into a World War and out of the Great Depression. Now these many years later with the Govt. printing more money than they have good governance has put us into a bicycle ride around the event horizon of a black hole.

The Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia was run when water was not potable and had to be boiled. Therefore most of them were stiff on Rum. It is a total micacle things went so well. Had it not been for the example of Caesar Rodney (who suffered from cancer of the jaw) and others like Franklin, Adams, Jefferson and a few others The Republic would have ended in a public riot in the streets. As a matter of fact several delagates went outside to settle arguments with fisticuffs or by Duel with pistols, rapier or sword. LOL, Franklin went out one time in a duel. It was a “Spitting Contest.” LOL. These colorful bits of history are deeply hidden. Washington was successfully beating the British who had the long supply route (a definite disadvantage) and George III was, shall we say, half a Sixpack short. He could not get the British to fight and had to apply to the Lord of Hess in Germany for assistance. Later American soldiers repaid The House of Hess by stealing their crown jewels, chopping them up and selling the most part.

That our Republic was born is a Divine Miracle! Now look what associations with special agendae and selfserving politicians have done with this formerly splendid glory.

Truman cost this country thousands over 1955-1975 by ignoring Vietnam.
Ho Chi Minh’s and american special forces troops fought side-by-side. Americans were reveared in VIetnam as the last country to overthrow a colonial power. FDR knew Indochina needed to be addressed immediately following the war, that the French should not be allowed to regain total control. The Vietnamese government sent Truman a letter of their independence taken directly from our own Dec. of Independence. Truman ignored it and so began the calamity that wouldn’t end until 1975. It may have been avoided. in 1945.

As for the fact that politicians seem able to make millions now you are quite right and it is shown nowhere better than by Al Gore who has made 300,000,000 dollars since leaving office!!! That was, by the way, as of last year about this time!!! Probably another hundred million by now!!!!

Just like the predecessors we have another President who in his job is the one willing to take the United States of America into bankruptcy, after the cash and wall street, whats left/ There’s never been an audit performed in Fort Knox. Its been reported that the gold is in the hands of the Vatican. So if Israel has no choice but to attack, the gold standards rise through the roof. So what’s left for America. Forget China’s threat they’re buying coal real estate and holding play money. Please comment on these thoughts, I would like to know your thoughts on this.
    cheers

    • W. B “Bill” McCaslin

I know for a fact the gold is in Ft. Knox. But that is not the primary gold reserve. That is in a bank in Manhattan. (Name witheld,) however it is a repository of the Federal Reserve, where international transactions occur by moving gold bars and other precious metals like Platanum from one location to another. When the Master Vault is opened the elevator will not function. The access has a 33 in ChroMolly blast door. All doors automatically close and lock when the combo changes. The bars are 55mm Chro-molly Steel 100 mm apart, (Krupp made them) and require three keys and an electronic signal to unlock. The rooms are inside the Master Vault and look like prison cells for Superman. The Master Vault is a four dial, four handle operation and the codes are electronically changed (period unknown) by servo controlls. The opening procedure changes but I do know it is exceedingly complex, requiring the operation of different dials and handles in an odd order. One mistake and alarms go off; you’ll have to wait 48 hours. There is a comfort station and a small kitchen in case you are locked inside. Make a booboo or fail to respond promptly and properly to an alarm and you’re locked in for 48. There are telephones inside each cage and in the Lobby of the Master Vault. If you’r inside a cage you can exit it and have access to the Lobby.

Many Nations store a substantial portion of their precious metals there. The scare issue is this: If the US defaults on the Dollar will we steal (expropriate) other nations reserves?

As a first-timer to this blog, just want to add one thing.

Since the Progressives are so angry about George W. Bush having spent so much money, then why are the Progressives doing the same thing???

Supposedly, the Progressives are so much smarter (according to them) so why would they be so stupid as to do what Bush did, only spending billions more? Just asking.

    • http://www.data-technologies.net Pete Gandy

      It’s their mentality.
It’s OK for them make the same mistake ten times over because in their little pea brains it makes them ten times smarter.

      • Tim

One thing you said I agree with: The Democrats are 10 times smarter than the Republicans. That is why all the Republicans deserve to be voted out of office ASAP!

        • DaveH

Oh yeah, it’s smart to take money from the workers and give it to the non-workers. It worked so well in Russia, and China, and Cuba.
What is wrong with you Liberals? Where do you get that unearned conceit from?
How can anybody with even a modicum of intelligence justify taking property from those who acquired it legally? It not only is immoral, but it has a negative effect on economies. So, you give up your morality for negative long-term gains. Sure, that’s real intelligent.

          • DaveH

No doubt Dee, but the Republicans are a little more subtle about it.

        • cr747

Tim, You are in bad need of some history lessons. The Democrats are not any smarter than the Republicans. Put them all in a drum turn them over and pour them out, You can not tell any difference.. I am a Democrat, but I haven’t voted for one in quite a while. I have received more from the Republicans than I have the Democrats. Especially the dumb one in the White House now taking up space!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is what ultraliberal progressives do, Partly Sunny. Their only standard is in having no standards. They are quick to point fingers at anyone who defies their insanity.
Ultraliberal progressives are nation-destroyers. They are pc Nazis. They are psychotic dreamers, and they do not hesitate to destroy personal property. They lust after wealth and money that can be ‘appropriated.’
On a good day, an ultraliberal progressive is a domestic enemy. They are useful idiots. While I can’t prove it, I suspect Judas is their #1 role model. No nation can afford to have such people. They prove that on a daily basis.

I want to comment on several things that Chip Wood stated in his article. First, it is so hypocritical for a conservative like Wood to criticize Obama’s level of federal deficits, after the way that former President W. Bush ran up record budget deficits. Bush passed two large tax cuts, neither of which were paid for. He also funded two wars (Iraq and Afghanistan) which were also, not paid for. He and his Republican allies passed a big government program called “Prescription Drug Medicare Part D Program,” which wasn’t paid for either (Socialized Medicine? YES). Bush also never vetoed one spending bill from Congress when his party had the majority. All of the above things made the federal deficit skyrocket. Bush left us with $1.2 trillion of federal deficits, according to the CBO. I also never remember Republicans complaining about raising the debt ceiling or spending like they say liberals do, when they controlled BOTH the White House and Congress, between 2001 and 2007 (Bush was President for two additional years). What a bunch of hypocrites!! According to the CBO, Bill Clinton left us a $237 billion budget surplus when he left office and ran budget surpluses for several years in a row, something Republican presidents never did. The Republicans and Bush squandered it away! See the following web site:

    http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2010/jan/29/jeb-hensarling/rep-hensarling-says-annual-deficits-under-republic/

The reason that Obama has spent so much, is that he inherited a real mess from former President George W. Bush. The federal deficit was at $1.2 trillion when Obama stepped into office, according to the CBO.
It was the fault of the Republicans that everything was in chaos when Obama took office. Right now, Obama is trying to tackle the second recession that Bush got us into, plus Obama is fighting two wars, both of which were started by Bush.

Wood claimed that under Obama’s spending priorities, that the national debt will triple in the next ten years. I checked this out, and found this statement to be false. According to the CBO, the gross federal debt ended 2009 at $11.9 trillion, will hit $16.7 trillion by the end of 2014 and $20.6 trillion by the end of 2019. That is LESS than even a doubling of the national debt, let alone a tripling! See the following web site:

    http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2010/jan/28/bob-mcdonnell/national-debt-pace-triple-10-years-now-more-100k-h/

Wood said that we should elect more decent people. Could he be referring to maybe Scarah Palin (the one who puts crib notes on her hands)? The only thing Scarah Palin has going for her, is her pretty face. If looks were the only priority to be president, I would support Palin; however, polls now show that even 47% of Republicans say she isn’t qualified to be president. It gets a lot worse when you include everyone. Obama has a higher approval rating than her at the present time. Also, polls show that right now that if any Republican candidate ran against Obama, that Obama would beat him/her by about 2 points. Considering all the bad publicity that Obama has gotten by the conservative media (including Rush Limbaugh, GOP congressmen and senators, and Fox Noise)and the fact that he has had major challenges to tackle since taking office, this tells me that Republicans are not that popular. I already knew that though. Why would they be? They’re so bad!! Obama still has about a 50% approval rating, far better than George W. Bush’s meager 36% approval rating when he left office. See the following web sites:

    http://www.csmonitor.com/USA/Politics/The-Vote/2010/0211/Gallup-poll-Obama-in-statistical-tie-against-anyone-else-for-2012-presidency

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/02/11/obama-virtually-tied-with_n_458631.html

I also want to talk about the Stimulus bill that Obama passed, because it is very often criticized by the conservative community. It had a price tag of $787 billion. Of that amount, $499 billion was set aside to fund new roads, hire more teachers, and generally to keep people employed. The other $288 billion was tax breaks to individuals and businesses. You would have thought the Republicans would be happy about the tax breaks, but NO, they complain about them, just because they were passed by a Democrat versus a Republican.
    See the following web sites:

    http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2010/feb/10/jon-stewart/stewart-claims-stimulus-bill-one-third-tax-cuts/

We had eight years of Bush and Cheney, Now you get mad! No just a little bit

You didn’t get mad when the Supreme Court stopped a legal recount and
appointed a President.. Okay and the last election was legit how many times did John Doe get to vote?

You didn’t get mad when Cheney allowed Energy company officials to dictate
energy policy. Okay were running out of oil lets go green which in most cases uses more energy than coal oil and so forth don’t forget global warming you really to need to wake up!

You didn’t get mad when a covert CIA operative got ousted. No not at all!

You didn’t get mad when the Patriot Act got passed.
    Sure Did
You didn’t get mad when we illegally invaded a country that posed no threat to
us. You did not get mad when we were attacked during Clinton term and we did nothing that what made them thing America does not have the guts to defend it self!

You didn’t get mad when we spent over 600 billion(and counting) on said
illegal war. Congress voted to go to war, why are we still there and now sending more to Afgan?

You didn’t get mad when over 10 billion dollars just disappeared in Iraq . Hell that’s one day of Acorn revenue going to the Dem party!

You didn’t get mad when you found out we were torturing people. The same thing that happebns everytime one of our militarty or citizens are taken by Muslim animals!

You didn’t get mad when the government was illegally wiretapping Americans. Who the hell said we did not?

You didn’t get mad when we didn’t catch Bin Laden.

You didn’t get mad when you saw the horrible conditions at Walter Reed. Who wants to take money from military gee would it be the liberals?

You didn’t get mad when we let a major US city drown. Gee I think you saw the difference between that city and Haiti by the way it was A Dem governor who decided not to move the citizens!

You didn’t get mad when we gave a 900 billion tax break to the rich. The Rich and the middle class are the only people paying the taxes, and the ones who don’t tap into it!

You didn’t get mad when the deficit hit the trillion dollar mark. Obama is doing this in one year!

You finally got mad when the government decided that people in America
deserved the right to see a doctor if they are sick. Yes, illegal wars, lies,
corruption, torture, stealing your tax dollars to make the rich richer, are all
okay with you, but helping other Americans… oh hell no.

Maybe I missed something. After all I’m just a small business man and maybe my math is wrong. I thought Bush left us a 600 Billion deficit. Obama keeps saying he inherited a 1.3 Trillion deficit. It appears to me that Obama is adding the the 700 Billion Tarp money to Bushes deficit. The tarp money was a loan that was to be paid back and is being paid back. You can’t add a loan to a deficit. Obama has decided to use the paid back money and spend for other things. If this is the case shouldn’t this amount be added to Obamas deficit? If I am correct in my math, someone needs to correct Obama.

HOLD ON JUST A MINUTE !!!

The error lies in a long proocess of de-education of the American prople. These things go on because We The People let it happen. Google the US Constitution and Bill of Rights. Study them intensely. You will probably need a dictionary. The power resides in We The People. Somehow the furniture got glued to the ceiling and we can’t seem to figure it out. I’m an old F**t now so naturally the youngsters know everything and I know nothing. However, Americans must exercise their right to vote and vote the bums out of office. However we are nummed by the old bromides from the politicians (bla, bla, bla) and their servants the Media. It is time for the sheep to turn into LIONS!

I could get on my soapbox and speak on what I would do if… However, I wouldn’t be heard I’m just a brain-dead senior citizen. They’d figure I have a mental defect and lock me up. My luck would be they’d do an autopsy by mistake!

We must depose a government not of, by and for We The People. Selfserving seems to be the name of the Virus which infects virtually everyone within the Beltway. Conspiracy theories abound, some commentators are brave enough to speak.

All Citizens should take it upon their agenda to study how government works, from the Court House, to State, to Federal, to the White House.
We The People would recoil in abject horror! and cry: “Oh! How we have lost our rights, why are these incompetent men in power?” Then we should take our right to vote and use it like a sledgehammer!

Very knowledgable and responsible friends with whom I share association have argued if %25 of the people would refusse to pay their taxes, and to have a three day strike; the government would have to listen. They would have to be the right people; civic officials, Police, persons responsible to maintain our infrastructures, our electric grid, our gas and petrolium pipelines, computer and telecommunications workers, the distributors of goods and services.

Peaceful non-cooperation. Look at how Ghandi changed India and he never fired a shot. The British realized they could not control India when the people adoped a policy of Non-violent Non-cooperation.

You shoulld read-up on Ghandi. Excellent Biographies exist and he personally wrote extensively. These are available from a good library or by request through your State Library Commission. The re is even a movie by that name which is quite accurate but fails to adequately describe his true humility. Buy it and watch it several times, it reveals levels of complexity.

If the people do not take back their rights one day Bullets will be the currency, not the Dollar. One day The Gun Police will come and confiscate registered weapons, they will also look for unregistered weapons. They will use metal detectors. Take proper precautions. An unarmed populace can not rise up against the Authorities. Again! Read The Constitution and The Bill of Rights, The Federalist Papers, become aware! Citizens, the second American Civil War is about to happen; we millions are like Gloster at the brink in Shakespeare’s Richard III.

  • Doug Harrison

You budget hawks are all the same. You say we have to cut the budget and then don’t provide any specifics on what to cut.

    How about this?

    1) Withhold all Social Security benefits from any individual with a net worth over $100k. That will make a dent.
    2) Eliminate all those “ask your doctor about” commercials on the news that drive up health care costs
    3) Reduce government pensions to the private sector average and eliminate escalation clauses
    4) Eliminate income tax deductions on all church contributions – Make churches part of the private sector and have them pay corporate income tax.

    • DaveH

So, we should take money from people and not allow those who make something of themselves to get any back? Sounds like outright theft to me.
And we should trample companies’ free speech?
      And we should tax churches?
How about really leveling the playing field and only tax individuals? Why shouldn’t anybody who is eligible for government largesse be required to pay into the system? Currently 50% of the population pays 96% of the taxes. Is that right? Talk about taxation without representation.

How about instead we just cut back on the out-of-control Government intrusion into our lives?

      • JeffH

        Right with you Dave.
Why should people that make over $100 K be allowed to recieve their SS Benefiets? Try, they paid for them! They will continue to pay taxes anyway, with or without SS benebfiets.
I guess the thinking is; If you earned it, you have to share it.

        • Doug Harrison

I guess you’re for entitlements then.

          • DaveH

That’s a broad category Doug. If you mean Social Security, you’re damn right I think I should get it. After all, they took my money under the guise of protecting my future. On top of that I had to pay income taxes on the money that they took in the name of Social Security.
If I could turn the clock back, I would have voted against the Government taking my money away ‘for my own good’. How conceited for them to think that they could better manage my money than I could. And, as History has shown, they have pillaged the Social Security funds for many other reasons than the original stated purpose. So, the great ‘protectors’ have fallen flat on their faces. Now, rather than living on funds that were set aside from our payments, we are effectively living on the shoulders of our children.
            Slavery is alive and well.
            You gotta love Liberals (NOT!).

          • Doug Harrison

This is what drives me crazy about the budget crazies. I actually don’t believe in any of the suggested budget cuts as written. However, the response is always the same. “Cut the budget but don’t do it in any area that affects ME. I’m special and I deserve it.”

Social Security is not a savings plan. If you think it is, I’ve got a bridge I’d like to sell you. Social Security is a welfare plan for old people. I detest the concept that our taxes are going to pay benefits to people who don’t need the money. Those payments are bankrupting the country.

          • DaveH

You’re so noble. Take peoples’ money away, against their will, for their own good (yeah right), and then deny them the promised benefits later. And you call me crazy? I would call you evil.

          • Claire

DaveH–I totally agree with you on this. Wait until “he” gets old. Then he will think differently.

          • GregS

Amen, DaveH and Claire! I couldn’t have said it any better!

          • DaveH

If we’re going to balance the budget anywhere we should start with those marvelous pensions that the politicians gave themselves. Next, those people who are perfectly able to work but are riding on the taxpayers’ backs. And then move on to the Leviathan apparatus of Government workers that mostly just harass honest and productive citizens. Government now controls about 40% of our economy. It should be more like 10%.
            Vote Libertarian.

          • Time

Doug, tell us all about how SS started off, explain the details on it so we can see your vast knowledge on this topic.

Here are a few examples I would like for you to explain; When SS was first started was in mandatory to pay in?

Was the money in a non government run Trust?

Has the money ever been taken out of that trust?

If so by whom? And when?

How was it set up was it set up to keep the money from Congress using it for other government projects?

I take it that you feel that money taken from persons who worked for 30 -40 -50 plus years that was removed form their pay and placed in SS, that they should be happy to give said money’s to person who have never worked a day in their life.
Or are not even Citizens of the United States.
Would that sum up your thoughts?

    • MOMSRIGHT

How about we start right at the top? Obama and Mrs. Obama should be put on a strict budget right away! They Should set the example as our leaders! Next cut out Pelosi and her entourage! Get rid of half the national agencies like the dept of education! How about if schools are turned over to management by private sector and concerned parents? Our government currently involves itself in so many areas that it was never meant to be apart of! The constitution is pretty clear on the federal governments roll! That roll is primarily to protect this nation through our military! It was never intended to be a panacia for all the social ills of the nation!

What about the extreme government waste? We have all heard the stories of 10,000 hammers and 5,000 toilet seats! Nothing the government runs is done with effeciancy! How about bringing in private agencies to over see flacid government agencies. Charge them with the goal of making those agencies run better! Make the improvement of those agencies that are necessary, the basis for how they get paid! Government never has to worry about their bottom line! If they run out of money they can just make more or tax more to get it! Make government accountable!

What if we were the generation that had the courage to say to hell with Social Security! I will educate myself and make my own plans for retirement! Why not let it phase out? Or, how about this idea? How about those who pay into S.S. get to keep their own contrabutions in their own accounts to invest in the way that seems best to them? Politicians will say, we have a Trust fund dedicated to only S.S! That is not true our contributions pour into a general fund that has become a slush fund for congress! Do you really trust the government to take care of you?

As for churches there is good reason they are tax exempt! Churches do so much to help the communities where they are! If you want to throw churches under the bus you might as well include every liberal non-profit as well!

Finally, after all wasteful spending is eliminated, after politicians are put to accountability, Then lets eliminate or reduce federal income tax to say 10%? Then regular people like you and I can keep more of our own money! That would esculate the economy and create new businesses!

Then we could afford our own health insurence and not be forced by our government to buy it or pay fines or go to jail! By the way, Married coulples would be required to pay 10 times more in health costs then those couples who only choose to co-habitate! So we get government out of our homes and stop them from passing laws that penalize marriage and tear down the very foundation of a stable Society!

Yes I am a financial Hawk too and I have a lot of ideas to fix this economy! Not my own ideas but those ideas that are historically proven to work! those ideas that are based in the wisdom of our constitution! Those ideas that have their roots in Biblical principles! For we are “One nation under God” Even our currency says “In God We Trust”! Why not go back to our roots America! That is what made us a great nation!

      • chipshot

        GOD bless you, MOMSRIGHT.

You are absolutely right. Or is should say correct. Else the libs will try to make you look like a radical, right, ehr, I mean, correct?

Get back to the principles that made this country the greatest country in the history of the world.

Not the one (see NWO) the idiot libs see as the answer for all problems: Socialism, Big Government, and forget about individual freedoms.

      • Joe H.

        MOMS,
I’ll give you all but my social security!!! I’ve paid into it since I was 16 and I’m going to colect it as long as it’s there!!

    • chipshot

      Doug,
Let me help you with some more ideas to reduce the federal budget:
      1. Eliminate the federal reserve and return to a gold and/or silver standard just like it spells out in the Constitution
      2. Eliminate the Dept of Energy
      3. Eliminate the Dept of Education
      4. Eliminate the Dept of Agriculture
      5. Eliminate the Dept of Commerce
      6. Eliminate the Dept of Homeland Security
      7. Eliminate the Dept of Health and Human Services
      8. Eliminate the Dept of Labor
      9. Eliminate the Dept of Transportation

Additionally, pass a Constitutional Amendment that we have to operate on a balanced budget system and that any debt will require the approval of the majority vote in a general election (Not the congress)

Also, cut eliminate all foreign aide
Also, Pull all the military out of any foreign ountry and bring them hom and put them on the border with Mexico
Make marijuna legal (just like cigarettes) and charge tax to purchase

      • jim

Hi Chipshot, How about the Bureau of Indian Affairs. No other ethnicity needs a bureau for their affairs.

      • http://Yahoo Dee D

Also chipshot – Enforce the nepotism laws – nepotism is illegal but not being policed. Cut the umbilical cord to all the good old boy clubs and stop all retirements for any and all allowing one to retire from one area to be re-hired into another area at a higher paying rate while drawing the retirement check from the previous job.

Very good article Chip,My opinion is,Barry is a straight up muslim radical-whose goal is to take us right straight to hell just as fast as he can go

    • Blue

      Tina,

I’m positive you are right. In one of his speeches during the campaign, he said he hadn’t been to all of the 57 states yet (maybe those Obama Jobs are in those 7 states). America has only 50….. BUT there are 57 Islamic (Muslim) States. The truth being, is that Barack Hussain Obama is Muslim. In the following clip he freely admits his “Religion” but is corrected by the interviewer and is told that he is Christian.

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XKGdkqfBICw

    • Blue

I have to correct myself. BO said he WAS to 57 states. Here is the video clip:

Tina, people like you that want to see things so one-sididly are why the american people are raped by our own goverment. You need to realize we need to hold ALL policitians accountable, not just ones with D in front of their name.

Al your very right, its not just the Dem’s saddly they are getting a very bad rap due to the divide that all the “Poly , Tic’s” are using against the American people.

DaveH. I always thought the same thing…turn off the engine, until they had an automotive engineer on TV two days ago who said, unequivocally…..do not attempt to pull the key and attempt to turn off your engine…b/c most of the time, the engine will continue to run. I’ve never done it, so I don’t know, but just sharing what the guy said.

    • DaveH

I have done it. I was being silly, driving alongside my girlfriend, and stepped on the gas. The car continued accelerating after I let off the gas (much to my horror). It turned out later, that my gas peddle got stuck on the floormat, but in that moment of panic, I didn’t know that. I remembered to shut off the key. And then of course I had to hit the brakes as I was still coasting pretty fast.

If a car had a lot of carbon built up in the cylinders, I could see where it might continue running for a while.

      • DaveH

As far as experts go, you can see what the experts in Government have gotten us into. I would take the guys advice with a grain of salt.

      • DaveH

I would like to add that I lost my power-assist for steering and braking, but it was a lot better than letting the car continue to accelerate.

        • Joe H.

          daveH,
the guy said that almost everything was computer controlled and that they hadn’t ruled out a computer problem!!! he said the best bet was to take it out of gear. It might blow the engine but that’s cheaper than you!

          • DaveH

All good things for people to think about. In my situation, I saved my car and my life.

  • Raggs

Chip… that was a good article… thumbs up!
I can only imagine what this health care reform will cost the working class? And your correct taxes are paid by only around 50% of the population leaving the other sucking leeches fighting over our wages. But I guess that is what socialism is all about and that is what odumbo wants. This idiot thinks he can “create” jobs by stealing money from the minority tax payer. His work creation is for those who only want a free ride and government hand-outs. Unemployment will go away as soon as odumbo goes away.

The Republicans need to have a seat and be quiet while President Obama gets us out of the debacle created by George W. Bush. It took eight years of complete incompetence to create this situation. Allow our President some time to get us back on track.

    • Not-Impressed

Are you looking for your free ride? Who makes policy? The president or Congress and Senate? Who has been in the majority rule for the last eight years?
It will only get worse with someone to sign these socialist bills into Law.
We as a nation had best wake up and smell the roses and do our civic and spiritual duty.

    • http://Don'thaveone Sally

You my dear are why we are having the problem today.

      • Claire

I beg to differ. The problems we have today were caused by “both” parties for the past 20-30 years. It is called “Greed.” The so-called power they received when they were elected turned them into glorified monsters. They became greedy, and now we are paying the piper. No one party is the cause for this chaos–both parties created the problems at hand. One party is no better than the other. We need strong Conservatives.

        • http://Yahoo Dee D

Claire and us voters dance to their tune and just keep putting them in office again and again. Will, Can or will we ever be wise enough to see how we are allowing ourselves to be played? Even against each other.

          • Claire

DeeD– You are correct–we all dance to their tune. As so many of the people on this site say “we should do our research.” For the most part, I think people do try to vote wisely or they vote for their party. Sometimes I think we are screwed either way. There is absolutely no way of knowing what politicans will do once elected. And yes, the politicians want us to be divided against each other. They want nothing more than to see Americans fighting amongst themselves. Heaven forbid if we all would agree on anything. It certainly shouldn’t take long to figure this out. I also apply these statements to all media, MSNBC, Fox News–radio talk show hosts–they keep churning the dissent out, add their bits of truth, and then they add their little “comments” to add fuel to the fire. I just keep in my mind that they are paid entertainers. It just depends on which way a person wants to go and what they want to believe when they listen to them. We have to do the research and find out the truth for ourselves and sometimes what we read isn’t the exact truth either because the writer’s opinions of things are inserted, thereby causing more suspicion. A question, do some people hear and read what they want to because of their party affiliation? Sometimes I think a person can believe only half of what they see and none that they hear. I suspect this post will cause some flack, but these are my own thoughts. I just keep thinking “united we stand, divided we fall.”

    • DaveH

How much time Tim? 10 years like we gave our hero FDR?

    • Vicki

Well tim, in his first year in office he has managed to acquire more debt for taxpayers to pay than ALL PREVIOUS administrations combined. What do you think he can do for our budget if given more time? Who’s going to clean up THAT mess?

      • TG

Since there is another Tim on this site, I changed my name to TG.

It’s really sad that President Obama is being blamed for the incompetent decisions of George Bush.

        • momof4

Oh please how long are you Libs going to blame Bush!! Get over yourselves

          • http://Yahoo Dee D

momof4 – I’ll say it one more time – Poor Bush was too stupid to be guilty of doing anything at all. He was just a poor failure of a fish out of water too stupid to see how the Republican party needed him for the fall guy while Cheney was the Bas**** out of Georgia who done the dasterdly deeds.

          • cr747

Dee D, Gone to have to disagree with you there. VP Cheney is a very intelligent person!!!!!!!!!!!!

Joe Biden is a complete liar, and misrepresents every thing he gets involved in!!!!!!!!!!!!

        • DaveH

It’s interesting to me that Bush was blamed for the recession already in effect when he first took office. Make up your minds Liberals. I think that both parties have been responsible for our oversized Government, but mostly the Democrats.

          • http://Yahoo Dee D

A great big AMEN to that Dave.
As far as disagreeing with me on Cheney being an intelligent man cr747 – that’s your right. My personal opinion of Cheney is he’s a runny eyed, sneaky eyed, wife beating and a possible molester. I wonder how involved he was with all the young children, both male and female from Boy’s Town being taken into the White House during Bush Sr’s tenure? It’s all in court records folks and I even wrote Boy’s town about it.
Is Larry King still in prison? I hope I am dead wrong on my thoughts concerning a lot of things but I fear I’m not only not wrong, but things are much worse than even I’m able to grasp.

Obama is a fool! bowing down to foriegn powers, appoligizing to dictators, and spending our money like there is no tomorrow! Thanks to Obama politics my husband and I lost everything! We had to file bankruptcy! Even before Obama the ogvernment was out of control! We were like hamsters caught in this spinning wheel!Like many Americans we worked hard for the first six months for the government! Then after paying our employees we were lucky if we had a little left over for ourselves! Last year our business tanked with the economy leaving us with debt we incurred trying to keep it going! Plus ever increasing taxes piled on us even though we weren’t making any money! In California they even sent us a tax bill to tax our two computers we had left from our business! When we couldn’t pay it they sent us a warning letter that they were going to seize our propery and sell it to pay this 189.00 bill! On top of that we have the IRS seizing what little money we did have from our bank account! As a result we haven’t even been able to pay our utilities! The only reason we still have a place to live is because the bank hasn’t forclosed on us yet!

How can we tolarate this fool in the White house! He parties on our dime while my children may not even have a place to live soon! Not to mention the struggle to feed and clothe them!

It is time for us Hamsters to get off this crazy wheel and say to these out of touch polititions To HELL with you! if we can’t pay the dough then they will have to start cutting some of this outrageous spending!? Someone please tell me that somewhere out there there are good people who know how to fix this problem! Where are the Reagans of this world? Where are those who understand history and can use that knowledge to impliment proven stratigies to fix the economy?

I fear if we don’t act soon it maybe too late for all Americans! Obama will bankrupt our country if left unchecked! Then where will he get all the money for trips around the world, cavear and steak dinners, and his weekly star-studded parties?

    • Raggs

I hate to say it, but your story is exactly what odumbo wants!
He believes he can now control you and thrust you into his socialist policy.. He holds the cards and guess who has the losing hand? He knows that and that is what he wants this is the scam he plays so you will have to depend on the government.

      • MOMSRIGHT

You are too right! We recently had to go on food stamps! I have never used government Social Services before! I loathe having to explain how we earn every penny and prove where it came from just to keep the food stamps going because we don’t even have enough to feed our kids! My nineteen year old daughter still lives at home and has no job! Her grandpa paid for her to go to our local Junior College. Now that she is trying to better herself she is no longer eligible to recieve food stamps! This cuts the food stamps down substantially! Maybe if I divorce my husband I can get federal assistance! Now we know what is wrong with these government programs! They reward lazieness and lack initive. They reward people who choose to divorce or just live together, and they punish those who are working hard to try and make a living and keep their families together!

        • Raggs

If you only knew how rigth you are.
The cut-off for government programs are exactly the ones of a white color. Being the whites are supposed to furnish all others with thier means.. I’m not being a racist but if you beg the odumbo administration you get what is furnished to you by the rest of the US. You know the ones that actually work hard for a living.

        Yes,
Obama and Bush and Cheney and Clinton are all part of the same family now. Possibly the family, Bilderburg. Behind the dark curtains, democrats and republicans do not really exist. – They are but a front to keep the public off balance. The puppeteers buy whoever makes it into the oval office. (if they don’t own them already)
The truth is scarier than the illusions we believe in… Don’t know how many of us can handle the truth… The people running the world are deluded. They don’t understand what’s really happening to humans, and the habitability of Earth, or they just don’t care…

We or should I say I am looking for a leader for ResistNet. We are a very large group made up of smaller groups started by its members. Seems like all we do is send emails to each other and keep each other informed. We want to do everything in a peaceful matter but we have no leader to bring us togather. I’m not saying we have’nt made a impact. Seems like everyone almost everyone wants to do it through voting which the right way. A lot can be gained through mid term elections and 2012. But a lot of us feel that 2012 may be too late. We seem to agree that the health care plan, cap and trade, job stimulus bills are a front to secure his power with his czars behind the scenes. Do you know of a leader especially with a military exp.

      Tony,
Strange how this all looks just like Germany in the 1920′s -30′s, Hitler used the same tactics, most of the SA or Brown Shirts that also had a small gang of them that became the SS and SS SD or as you all would know them as the Gestopo. They came for BEER and FOOD, and Shelter, yes indeed and just look at how that worked out.
How many were Killed by Hitler, around what 85 million in total.

Our Kids spuut how dumb we adults are, {that we just are to dumb to understand Barry the Great} and how he is working to SAVE us from our stupid ways.
Again Odd thats just what the HITLER YOUTH did too!

Wow is it me or is it we have a Barry Hitler Obama in the White house?

And just wait until Barry tells us all how he will have to RAISE the TAXS on people making as little as $50K per year.

I bet you all that will be very SOON as in within a than a few months, and for sure by years end.

And why is that again. DUH, can you say SPEND, SPEND and SPEND more.

“No interest” i was told. The only question i got was “What type of “FUEL” does it use”? I said “None” It uses “Free Energy”. They said, “That’s not possible” I said, “Who told you that, BIG OIL”??
They said, “I can’t talk with you any more”. This was from the “Department of Energy”. You see the problem, and we pay taxes for this. They won’t even talk about this technology even though it’s from “1840″!!! That’s right, energy systems from Maxwell, Faraday, and Tesla.

This technology was “PATENTED” in the 1880′s and is in public domain now. See, you can’t even have it if it is free and the information is as well.

As for spending, that’s what they do best. The more of it isn’t theirs, the more they spend. What do you expect from 535 Multi Millionaire rich lawyers that pretend to be Senators and Congressman.
Either Big “D” or “R” they spend.
    Fooled you did they???

Why do they spend $100,000,000.00 for a job that pays less than $200,000.00. Because they will make “Billions” under the table or sent to Swiss bank accounts.

As for me, I am building prototypes and will bring them out soon.

Else, see you on the Soup lines. The password is “Chicken Noodle”

On the subject of Obama, i have heard every comment from he is the greatest thing since sliced bread to the coming of Satan. He sure is “Elmer Gantry” like, that’s for sure. He can talk the door off of a Barn. Hasn’t shown any “Pedigree” papers yet, but he can talk.
    A “Blivey” of B/S.

Well, at least he can’t stay in office more than 8 years can he??

On health care, Give me the same as he has, No Deductable, Copays, Limits. We could have this now because we are already paying $15,000.00 per person now for 303 million people. But big Insurance says “NO”!!! They want more. Where do you think the 2,000 plus pages of the health care plan came from? Big Insurance, who else.

Solution, a Presidental Decree for the above health care plan and make the fine 660 years in jail and $30 Trillion fine first offence.

    Solves the problem.

      Right On!

I call fossil fuels “Earth Fudge”. They should be the desert of the energy menu, not the main course. – Should be used only for special occasions and Durable Plastics, etc.. Tesla and Farady must roll perpetually in their graves, waiting for us to fully apply their discoveries. At this point, we need to go all out to reduce our demand for water, electricity, and fossil fuels. Conservation with a capital C, and the implementation of as many low-impact, “alternative” energy sources are what we should have been focused on all along.

By 1979, Jimmy Carter had put solar panels on the White House and laid out a plan to for us to produce 20% of our energy from wind and solar by 2000. Reagan promptly took them off, and handed our energy policy over to Bush Sr. The rest is history. We’ve had enough of politicians and lobbyists and unconcious multi-national corporations. It’s divine intervention, or it’s up to us. All of us..

I do have to wonder if a lot of you were in hyper-sleep for the past 9 years. To just wake up now, is a bit late to curtail government spending. Four years ago, I was blogging that we might not survive (fiscally) to the end of Cheney / W’s reign. Many of the effects of their decisions, and the selling out of government and public resources for private gain, may never be set straight.

That said, the deficit is an enormous problem. Those of you that understand the “realities” associated with 6.8 billion people polluting and consuming resources at rates far beyond sustainability, will understand that a new economic paradigm is essential to any realistic hope for the future. Throw out the 40 hour work week and global competition. There are no nations on Earth that can be successful over the long-haul following the 20th Century American Economic Model. Period.

What might work is a goal oriented concept, not unlike FDR’s new deal. We can, and must, build a new economic model focused on resource conservation and intelligent use. This will require investment and,or tax dollars from the monster wealthy. The destination should be Sustainability. (Using resources no greater than their regeneration rates)

Don’t listen to any of the spin masters on either side of the global warming debate. The facts regarding species extinctions, the pollution and toxification of the air, water and soil systems are undeniable. We either address SUSTAINABILITY and HUMAN POPULATION LEVELS or we continue our descent into the quagmire of human ignorance.

A modern “Economy” is just an illusion that we’ve bought into. A much better illusion is possible. I would suggest one based much more on locally generated food, water, shelter, and long-term health management.

The future is here whether we like it or not. We’ve got to deal with it. “True Fiscal Conservatives” will all gravitate towards sustainable, ecologically-based economics. We need to push our “leaders” to smell that coffee. The sooner, the better.

    Peace through intelligence and application,

      Sustainability or Scare Tactics?
      JM,
I see you have fallen for the Malthusian theory that man will overpopulate to the point where all the natural resources will ultimately be utilized and then mankind will be doomed to mass starvation, sickness, plague, and ultimately to self extinction . Thus we have to reduce the human population, do away with all the modern machinery and conveniences, and return to the horse and buggy days of the 1800’s. Or something like that, right?

I wonder exactly what level of population the masters of the universe would see as sustainable. And exactly who will determine where these slaves will live. And I guess this would mean that the NWO leaders (the elites) would dictate policy to us slaves who will do all the work’

Thank GOD (or hold it, will that be allowed in the new Global Government?) you have enough foresight to do away with the 40 hour week. I lived on a farm when I was a kid and the one thing I remember is that 40 hours a week won’t get it done. And that was using tractors and some semblance of modern machinery.

In truth, though no liberal will admit it, the problems that give rise to this lunatic of a theory are caused by political policies, not natural laws.

I am sure you are aware of the theory about peak oil. It has been around for more than 50 years now. And the projection has changed several times when it became evident the projected date of peak oil production was in error. It reminds me of the global warming hoax in a way. When the story line in the 70’s was that we had to do something about the use of Freon or we were going to have an ice age.

But of course the ice age didn’t develop to the liberals expectations so they simply reversed course and came up with the global WARMING hoax.

The bottom line is that oil is not being depleted at all. It is a renewable resource that is being regenerated perpetually.

Another issue that always seems to escape the Malthusian proponents notice is the issue of nuclear power. Why is it that the liberals, who argue so forcefully that we have to reduce CO2 emissions will not even discuss the development of nuclear power which is without emissions completely? We all of course know the answer: it is not about the environment at all. Rather, it is about power and control.

The Malthusian theory fits nicely with the ideals of the NWO, global government, and the elimination of individual freedoms. It is a scare tactic that has been used many times over the years.

Bottom line is that the problems you are seeing now result from plans that were put into motion over 100 years ago.

Woodie Wilson (our first communist president) was able to push through the Federal Income Tax and the formation of the Federal Reserve System, designed to allow the government to print fiat money which they used to buy votes and thus establish a welfare system consisting of economic slaves which has grown to be a significant, if ignorant, political force.

The second communist president (FDR) perpetuated the growth of Big Government, gave us the failed policies of the New Deal, came up with social security (attempt to buy more votes), and finally, got us into the WW2 which helped to pull us out of the depression which his policies had perpetuated.

And now we have the 3rd communist president. Who makes the first two look like Conservatives.

The bottom line is, if we could get the government out of the way and allow the free market to work most of the issues we see today would be solved (Hey, how about a federal government sized to meet the limitations placed on it by the Constitution. You know, the Constitution. That document our forefathers came up with to form the Republic? That Constitution.)

And if I hear a liberal say once more that this is all GWB’s fault, I will scream. Surely, a year into islamobama’s 4 year reign you can come up with some better arguments than that? I could help you if you need it.

      • http://sustainableusa.planetjordan.com/ Jordan Macarus

Thanks for the response Chipshot. Not sure you could help me, unless you’re ready to challenge yourself. I think you make an extraordinary amount of assumptions about my motivations and sources. You also inferred many things I did not state. – Nearly all off the mark.
It may be rare, but nearly all my opinions and theories are based on my own observations and research, initiated in 1987. I’ve got a BS in physics; have taught physics and chemistry, worked at a government lab, also worked my way up to manpower coordinator for the largest security and crowd management firm in the Midwest. Raised a coyote, a raccoon and my own son from infancy; which taught me more about life than everything else combined.
I’ve made short films advocating for the IFR, the breeder or recycling reactor. While there is substantial environmental impact from uranium mining and the waste from conventional reactors; I believe that, barring nuclear fusion or some other panacea, the IFR must be an integral part of any rational energy policy.
If you think you’re really smart, and it appears that you do; you should probably refrain from categorizing people, especially those you don’t know. And if you’re going to use words like communism, etc… you should define those terms for your discussion. In doing so you may realize that you have been limiting others, as well as missing possible solutions which might require the fusion of many different sociological and economic ideologies. (have never witnessed even 5 people in the same room who shared the exact same definition of terms like socialism, capitalism, communism, democracy, science, religion, global warming, free markets etc…)
All that said, it appears you may believe that the habitable space on Earth can withstand virtually infinite perturbations from humans, or other sources, before that space becomes uninhabitable. I would like to know what you really think regarding those limits.
I try to ground my scientific “opinions” to the laws of thermodynamics and The Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle. – Which has been largely ignored by both the Anthropogenic Global Warming believers and skeptics. – In my opinion, the discussion itself has been a waste of time for several years.
That is because, based on my predictions and subsequent observations, fundamental elements of the ocean and land-based ecosystems are being substantially depleted by the combination of human population expansion and economic / industrial activity. Just when certain elements become critical or irretrievable is something that humans can rarely assess with empirical precision. (Heisenberg)
The fact that there are measurable changes in ocean salinity, phytoplankton numbers, bee populations, coral populations, fresh water supply, etc.. ( this list is getting longer, not shorter as time progresses); this should be all the information we need to conclude that there are limits. These are large systems we’re talking about, but they are finite.
The simple conclusion here should be that what we do, in fact, matters. My gut feeling is that the asymptote for human population is between 8 and 9 billion. If we don’t intelligently apply the brakes before that, I would expect the population to crash, not unlike unchecked deer or rabbit populations.
I do believe that we Earthlings are capable of solving these “real” natural riddles; however, only if we achieve a level of communication and cooperation far beyond what we’ve shown thus far. Nasdorovia.

        • chipshot

          JM:

Of course, JM, I’m not as smart as you and I would not want to bore you with my resume since that has nothing at all to do with the discussion. However, I do appreciate knowing about all your outstanding accomplishments, especially the bit about “Raised a coyote, a raccoon and my own son from infancy”. I have to give my wife most of the credit for raising our children since I spent most of my days working trying to pay my taxes so the stupid socialist can propagate their welfare system.

I also appreciate your taking the time and dedication to “ground my scientific “opinions” to the laws of thermodynamics and The Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle” but having said all that I wonder how different your approach is from the “scientist” that developed the “global warming” hoax? I mean they started out with the assumptions that global warming is caused by man and then considered only the data that supported their argument. I guess that is what passes for “science” in the liberals world?

I’m afraid that, since I lack the scientific knowledge you obviously have, I can only go by common sense. But having an engineering background it has been my experience that common sense goes a long way toward solving most problems.

Like your assumption that “there are measurable changes in ocean salinity, phytoplankton numbers, bee populations, coral populations, fresh water supply, etc.. ( this list is getting longer,…..” from which you conclude that “there are limits”. So, the question that needs to be asked is: What is it that caused all these “measurable changes”, and when were they “measured”, and by whom? And what is it that all this proves?

So, having established that the earth (as we know it, granted the technology we have today will not be advanced or further developed, and assuming there will not ever at any time in the future be any new scientific breakthroughs, that no new means of energy production will ever be developed) will support a maximum of 8 to 9 billion people, the question is how do we control the population and who is it that plays GOD to decide which one of us will be among the 9 billion? Welcome to the Brave new World.

JM, if you need to know the definition of communism, socialism, and all the other “ism’s” you noted, get yourself a dictionary.

And my assumptions are based on what you wrote which is the only thing I know to use.
It has been my experience that, if it looks like a turd, and smells like a turd, it is in most likelihood a piece of crap.

          • http://sustainableusa.planetjordan.com/ Jordan Macarus

Chip, Ok Truce. – We can both stop swinging. -
-The dictionary definitions can really only work if all the dictionaries are the same. Also, there are so many connotations floating around, from all sides of every issue. It gets into the media and words take on “popular” meanings, and the public landscape changes. – You’ve got to agree with that.
Personally, I feel your farming experience may be really important to share. I consider efficient, organic farmers the crux of where we should be heading.
I don’t think the scientists who first started to measure CO2 levels and correlate temperature data had an agenda. There is a certain career politician, who is NOT a scientist, who presented those correlations in a potentially misleading way. (Which may have hurt environmental protection more than it has helped) Either way, I’m not happy about that, nor do I know what he really believes..
            It doesn’t matter.
What matters is trying to assess our situation here on Earth, so we can try to do the right things, so our kids’ lives have as much hope as possible. I think we can fix American Capitalism, and help the whole world stop heading in the wrong direction. I only know how to try not to delude myself. I’m as crazy as everybody else on this planet.
We are in unprecedented territory. There are more people alive on Earth today than the total of all the people that have lived and died through all of human history. The stress that this “biological pressure” creates is simply beyond all comprehension. Nobody gets it.
Point is this: We have nothing to lose by advancing the discussion of sustainability and population issues out into the public consciousness. We also have nothing to lose by trying to conserve resources, reducing waste and pollution. We should keep the water and the soil as chemical free as possible. Right now there are enormous quantities of plastic bags coagulating and dissolving in the oceans. The long chain chemicals that get released are not good for any organic life forms. We should be creating jobs that help clean up the environment for our kids. I don’t think people making over 100 million a year would mind investing back into this country if they realized it would be better for their kids.
“The matrix is the reality that is pulled over our eyes”. We can change, possibly reverse, our impact on the environment. Changing what we do is Economics. I prefer Capitalism, with realistic limits. And a society with the goal of having trees, animals and complete ecosystems around for a while. Peace,

People we all have to work outside the BOX. The BOX is rigged.

      • http://sustainableusa.planetjordan.com/ Jordan Macarus

I agree totally about the box being rigged. – Well said.

But, I thought the “real” Progressives were those of us Outside the Box? – I don’t think any of the political terms we use have any commonly accepted definitions. (Probably why nobody finds common ground, which leaves the same Ludiocrats in charge)

Actually, from a long-term economic perspective, paying Brazil and Indonesia Not to cut down trees is among the best use of money today.
The ultimate costs of deforestation are incalculable. You can’t think of this as a game anymore, because it isn’t. Many of The Real Problems associated with loss of soil, Oxygen depletion and the loss of Carbon sequestors, along with eco-system destruction can be irreversible.
It Is Time to start thinking outside the box, largely because the human population has tripled since 1955. The rate of population expansion is approx. one million people every 5 days. That’s over 400 times what it was during the time of Christ and many of the other prophets. I don’t think there is a single human on this planet that can fully comprehend the ramifications of these rates of change…

First, we the people, need to agree on definitions for the “terms of engagement”, so we can assess these problems together and agree on possible solutions. All of us, to varying degrees, have been hypnotized by the corporate money that buys advertising and the media, politicians and whatever they need to maintain our ignorance and confusion.
Reduce water and energy requirements, detoxify the “environment”, take ALL politicians and TV “personalities” with a block of salt, buy local and pray like heck.

I wrote letters a week before Shock and Awe, hoping that we would think it through before invading Iraq. Then I prayed we would find OMDs. I completely agree. I have the “crotch salute” picture that a friend e-mailed to me.

A couple of weeks ago, I thanked you for your service & asked when you were heading back. The last time I checked I hadn’t received a response & it would take DAYS to find which article it was on! I also mentioned that I pray for our troops every day, but now I would have a specific name (sort of) to remember in prayer. As a Navy Seal, you should be commended just for your intense training.

When ARE you going back? I’ll certainly miss your comments that are pretty much on target with my thoughts!

I pray that God will watch over you & bring you & all the troops home safely. Words can’t even begin to express my gratitude for your service! I have a long list of family members who are Vets of wars & I’m grateful to them all!

I know that prayer is powerful, and if you pray believing God will answer your prayers.
My prayers will be for all of you to as I have already started praying for things to get better in our country. I truly believe in my country. Just remember to pray for our country, and that things will get better.

Berg, Esq., regarding Obama’s Birth Certificate and vet his citizenship; nor did they allow the attorneys who filed cases to subpoena the school records, birth records, and Kenyan records, but allowed a man who was not vetted to recklessly spend nearly $1,000,000 vs. $10 because the Supreme Court Justices and the Orange County, Ca. judges; and others.
Why would any intelligent man spend nearly $1,000,000 vs. $10 to provide a simple birth certificate to the court? Well, if he spent nearly $1,000,000 instead of $10 in one year; then why wouldn’t he spend trillions of phantom tax dollars and say that he’s created jobs when real unemployment is at nearly 20%? And, instead of increasing jobs; Obama plans to increase unemployment insurance and punish Americans by laying off people; reducing work hours; closing recreation parks; dipping into social security; and so forth? If you look at it from the stand point that he doesn’t care that he’s spending nearly $1,000,000 vs. $10 over one piece of paper then why would anyone be surprised about his reckless spending that has surpassed all 8 years of President Bush’s time in office? And, how sane is all this?

Understand one thing, in order for Socialism to work(?), they must first DESTROY the middle class. This is quite evident in the BO agenda. He dosen’t give a rats ass about this country as he was never raised as an American. Destroy the middle class is his main agenda. Mark my words.

      • Claire

Personally, I believe the government has been destroying the middle class for 20-30 years.

      • SiliconDoc

The problem is the destruction of every class, not the middle class. The other problem is over the last decades technology and convenience have driven up the standard of living for all, so much so that when you check with your grandparents, they were lucky to have running water – and if they did it was likely a wash basin in the basement.
They also pooped in a wooden stall in the backyard.
So, if we are to measure reality, living conditions, and therefore class, it has risen demonstrably in the last decades.
Then comes the problem – DEBT – if one takes into account the DEBT each individual has been trained to incur, why then the argument becomes much fuzzier, and we may as well talk about “destruction” of classes, due to debt burden.
Only the rich can sustain massive losses, and still come out ahead.
We know all about the golden parachutes and the fact that a tenth of a million is still 100 grand to the good.
So the destruction has come on with easy credit for the middle class, and the very poor, even. No matter how dirt poor, you CAN get a credit card, you can borrow, you can go into debt.
So what we have is a higher standard of living for EVERYONE, with a large burden of debt.
It seems to me taking away the DEBT is what is needed, so that the actual conditions can be addressed.
This lying potus is all about debt, debt, and more debt, so we might as well forget “personal assets” , “property rights with acquisition and ownership”, and therefore, a REAL standard of living with the security that comes from EQUITY and a positive personal net worth.
So, how much longer can people continue to live well, and better than in the recent past ?
It seems soon, paying the piper has a due date.

        • Time

Doc, Your very right.. Good post dude.

    • Time

Rose, With just Perkins & Cole Barry has spent nearly $2 million in one year of US TAX payers money.

If you were to add in the cost of the Justice Dept’s 2000 plus hours of work, that near $2 million would be really much higher.

This all begs the question why would Barry not produce that $10.00 LONG form Birth Certificate?
The longer he holds back the more guilty of something Barry looks.

  • GregS

I just read where Obama told Bloomberg BusinessWeek in an interview that he is thinking about raising taxes on those making less than $250,000 to help pay off the deficit. I thought he said he wasn’t going to do that!!! Lie, tax, and spend: It’s what the liberals do!

  • Tim

Hey Greg; It’s simple. When He promised $250,000 He had not yet printed a ton of extra dollars.
    Tim

    • GregS

Tim, are you trying to justify the lie-tax-spend policy with printing extra money??? Printing extra money has only added to the mess that we already have.

  • DaveH
    • GregS

Wait a minute…Weren’t the banks supposed to pay back the money that they received from the financial bailout, and now Obama wants the Wall Street banks to pay up to $117 billion in order to “reimburse taxpayers” for the financial bailout? Oh, that’s right…he wants to SPEND the money that the banks already paid back! What a guy! LIE, TAX, SPEND!

  • DaveH
  • http://Yahoo Dee D

Dave – I would not say the Republican party was so much more subtle, just louder screamers, non thinkers, party line followers and allow every hate monger do their thinking and talking for them. Less headaches that way. And believe me when I say the majority of the Democrat party are made from the same ilk. They are all almost dishonest wanna be rich rats at everyone’s expenses but their own.

    • DaveH

I guess I should always follow Democrat and Republican with “Leaders”. I just get lazy. But it really is the Democrat Leaders and the Republican Leaders, not necessarily the rank and file of either.

  • Barbara

About the welfare system, why can’t we make it like the Third world countries do? If you don’t work, you
don’t eat. With the system now, they can have all the babies they want and the taxpayers have to support
them and they end up as ignorant and uneducated citizens. They also own cars and drive while for the
average citizen it’s a necessity and we have to budget for it or work a part time job to get it. We pay our
own doctor bills…they get it for free…we work to put food on the table…they get it free with food stamps.
I hope we are not on our way to socialism.

  • David Hall

Changing the subject for a moment and throw my two cents on many
comments of wanting WAR in our Nation. Look at what is happening all
around on Nation, woman murders 3 in Huntville, Alabama. Murders all
over our Nation, due to the fear of losing jobs, people losing jobs,
people can find jobs, it’s horrible. It shows how discourage, fearful,
and hopeless, many Americans are feeling. There’s going to be more and
more of the same. If Obama tanks our dollar, and taxes the middle-class, which he so-called promised and lies everytime he opens his damn mouth. There is no doubt, that it will be the sadest, darkest,
day for America, because their will be a war, but to HOPE FOR WAR! is
    INSANE!

    • DaveH

Bad economies do usually breed more violence. I’m pleasantly surprised that things have been relatively peaceful so far.

      • David Hall

Sir, ain’t that the truth! I don’t know the numbers, but I suppose
their are 100′s of thousands, maybe more people walking around, going
in and out of stores, schools, colleges, banks, churches, businesses,
(you name it) that are ticking time-bombs! People shouldn’t live in
fear, but they better be very, very aware of their surroundings and
glance at the eyes of everybody that can, (having street sense) and
that is still not bullet proof. People who have worked all their lives, providing for their families, wake up, go to work, NO JOB! Can’t find another job, become very bewildered, depressed, fearful,
hopeless, a failure, and like a con on death-roll, ain’t got nothing
more to lose, I know, I’M ONE OF EM! but I would never steal or murder
anybody! And that lying a** Obama says he feels our pain! He DON’T need to be SHOT! but he does need a PUNCH in his lying MOUTH!

1.: one half of this 1.4 trillion attributed to Obama actually came from the Bush administration. STOP LYING!
    2. Jimmy Carter had a national debt of approx 60 million. Taht grew unconrollably under all republican administrations since and declined under democrats only.
    3. when money goes to help the average american the rich start tea parties and get the masses to support them, stupid eh?

    • DaveH

One problem we have is one side will count expenditures that were created under one president but not under another president depending on their party affiliation. Any valid discussion needs to establish some baseline rules. Do we count the expenditures of previous administrations or do we not? Let’s not swing both ways depending on which party we support.
Anyway, even if approached on a consistent basis, it is very difficult to determine which party caused which expenditures. I think the most reliable method to see who is out of control is to go to the Congressional websites and see who voted for what on the roll call votes.

    • SiliconDoc

I’m so sick of hearing the fantasy repeated over and over again that the POTUS spends the tax dollars. Nothging could be further from the truth.
The truth is the CONGRESS spends the tax dollars, and they can spend every last cent with or without a POTUS signing on to the spending.
If the POTUS decides to veto, the Congress can toss that in the crap can and override the POTUS, and the potus can go suck an egg.
THAT IS THE LAW, THAT’S HOW IT WORKS, PERIOD.
The POTUS does not spend – CONGRESS SPENDS THE MONEY.

  • Silvermaran

While some worry about what President OBama had for supper and you didn’t the world go’s to hell in a handbag. You people do not understand if someone does not take control now-there will be no more future for anyone. We had 9 different countries last year cloud seeding, We have HIV, TBD’s, Cancers and other illness’ at rates never before and over 18 different organisms identified in the last 2 years they have no idea what they are. Now we have something killing our bees for which we cannot live without for very long, and Morgellons for which has been described as a stealth infection of unknown origin. We have seed companies genetically altering our very food to our mouths with gross disregard to the consequences. People please let someone get control for the sake of the human kind and stop the bickering. If it takes Billions to do that-that is what we need to do. NOW.

  • http://Verizon.net Bud Grounds

Ken, you are right on but may I add that the economic meltdown we are experiencing now began during the Carter Administration with the affordable housing act. They forced banks to lower the standards and in Congress Representative Barney Frank and Senator Dodd were very involved in this process. The failure of Federal Regulators to recognize this and loose regulation in other areas by the banking industry created a monster. Also many lived far beyond their means.

I see where many are blaming President Bush for a lot of our problems but fail to realize that he can not do anything without the approval of Congress and who has been in charge there? The average citizen would be appalled if they knew about the cut throat politics at the capitol.

I would like to add, although not related to your comments but others is during the campaign for President, Obama said several things that indicated he had Socialist beliefs but not many caught it. He stated “distribution of wealth” and “National Health care” were among his desires. Since then, 3 of his former classmates in college have related to the media that he was a Socialist in belief and actions.
He has placed people on his staff that their background indicate they are Socialists and exist among friends and family. It has been said he wishes to push this country toward a European form of Socialism.
I don’t know about you but regardless of your political party, this should not be allowed to happen and somebody had better be watching the store or it will happen.

  • http://sustainableusa.planetjordan.com/ Jordan Macarus

    Bud,
I like the way you present things. It would be good to show a (non-partisan) time-line showing the pluses and minuses of Presidents and their associated Congresses:
I’m far from a political historian; but I think you’re right about Carter initiating the affordable housing act. He also stepped in it by acknowledging the Shah of Iran. I believe Carter was unrivaled though in his support for renewable energy; but he didn’t help Nuclear Research. He put solar panels on the White House and, had we followed his energy outline (+ the breeder reactor) our trade deficits, coal and oil dependence would be way less than they are. He wasn’t a Washington insider, which was good and bad…
Reagan, who I liked as a presence and a person, helped end the cold war; but I feel it was his deregulation of the financial industry, and lowering of the capital gains tax that, as much as anything, opened the door for the financial industry to run amok. Reagan removed the solar panels and handed over our energy policy to George Sr. who, from my perspective sunk us ever deeper into our oil dependency. George Sr. seemed like an alright guy, but the environment suffered, and I don’t understand why we didn’t get Saddam before concluding Desert Storm.
Clinton got the benefit of the upturn in the economy. Was better for the environment, but I wrote letters asking them to do more. He shelved the breeder reactor project (Which, I believe, we must pursue related to energy, national security, environmental and economic policies) He got caught with his pants down, which he should not have been impeached for, though, I wished he would have fessed up early on, or resigned for his part in dragging us through it for that long. He took a shot at Osama, and missed. – Bad . And Clinton had a regulator in place who actually tried to regulate derivatives and other financial time bombs, but he didn’t back her while Greenspan, Congress and Co. shut her down.
Then W Bush: Good things: Scaled up the methane capture program, and put up a staunch front. – This is hard; I did my best to believe in him, and I waited a few years before being vocal. – He escalated our deficit, debt, trade deficits, oil dependence, environmental degradation. Lied about the reasons for going to war, authorized the falsification of National Academy of Science papers regarding environmental hazards, did nothing at all to stop any of the housing, or financial regulatory problems stemming from Carter, Reagan and Clinton. Perhaps most of all, was that as president, he is privileged to the best scientists and scholars in the world; and he didn’t listen to any of them regarding preparing for a resource depleted future. He always deferred on the side of deregulation, the oil companies, the military industrial complex, etc… In short, I thought he was a complete disaster for the environment, our standing in the world, and the economy. (I wrote a paper 4 years ago about how we were setting ourselves up for economic disaster) We lost 2 million jobs in his last 3 months in office…
Now Obama: Positives. – His ability as a speaker. And he does appear to understand some issues and think things through. Negatives: I think he has sold us out to some of the same power brokers that Bush did. He has put his foot in his mouth more than once. He’s too political. I don’t mind when a politician changes his mind, but it should be clearer what he stands for.
We should support any president for a little longer than we have this one; but times are tough… – He did not create this depression, but he didn’t see it coming either. And he missed the first chance to not let the banks and investment firms get away with highway robbery. – One possible plus. Oddly enough, I do like what I’ve heard lately from Summers and Geithner. They’re trying to regulate the financial industry in a way that doesn’t change too quickly, yet may curtail many of the dangerous practices that suck money out of middle class pockets, just to put it in the pockets of the inside traders.
Lastly, I wrote notes to Obama, the DCC and Congress during the democratic primary for president. I was advocating the impeachment of Nancy Pelosi, Dick Cheney, and George W Bush. There is no going back, but I told many folks 3 years ago, that the failure to impeach them would cause our nation irreparable damage. I felt that those 3, and all of Congress failed in their patriotic duty when they let, what I believe to be, the worst administration in history, go the distance. Obama only has himself to blame for not supporting impeachment. I wondered then, how much of him was already bought and sold…
I think it is now up to we, the people, to advance possible solutions for what ails the US and the world. I think we need a new destination: “Sustainable Capitalism.” It may seem like the time to “let the free market just fix everything” But Only if we redefine the free markets and “free and fair trade”. And while we’ve been sleeping, the population has ballooned to 6.8 billion. – which is more reason to completely reinvent our economy around resource conservation, and mitigating pollution. We can address these things, and maybe we can solve them, but only by rationally facing up to them together. Saying that these issues don’t exist, or that they are too big to take on, will only make them worse. From a broad perspective, no matter what we, as individuals or groups believe in, we are all in this together. Peace,

    • http://sustainableusa.planetjordan.com/ Jordan Macarus

Doh! I neglected to mention that Clinton skewered us with NAFTA. And his successor did nothing to overturn it; just just made it worse.

Any one with half a brain could see that that- man had no sense of integrity

    • Bill H

William you are correct, but I think it was more that they completely ignored the evidence. All they could hear was that McCain was Bush II. Of course it was completely rediculas, but it seems that it worked. Many of those same people regret their choice.

Dear Lord, please save us from religious fundamentalism!

By the way, Liberalism and Socialism are LEFT WING. Conservatism and Fascism are RIGHT WING. Religious fundamentalism is RIGHT WING and so is Nazism. Religious fundamentalists are just like intolerant Nazis while Socialist liberals are anything but. The Catholic Church is a conservative organization, thus right wing.

Liberals celebrate freedom while conservatives fear it.

Most of Obama’s Deficit has been to clean up the mess Bushie made. The economic collapse is the result of 30 years of republican mass deregulation.

Also, like his daddy and Lord RR, Bush totally ignored the US infrastructure, and Obama is trying to repair that as well. Much of the stimulus is to repair the infrastructure.

Bushie is the one responsible for almost all of the Deficit.

I guess it takes all kinds of people to make the world go round and

YOU ALL SHOULD BE THANKING GOD THAT WE HAVE AN INTELLIGENT PRESIDENT IN THE WHITE HOUSE AFTER 8 YEARS OF DICK CHENEY AND HIS PUPPET GEO.W.BUSH. YOU AND REPUBLICANS IN HOUSE AND SENATE ARE THE MINORITY. BOTTOM LINE IS THE RACISTS AMONG YOU AND THE PARTY OF NO ARE MAD AS HELL THAT A BLACK MAN IS OUR PRESIDENT.
WELL, THE MAJORITY ELECTED HIM AND THE REST JUST NEED TO SUCK IT UP. WE SURVIVED (BARELY) 8 YEARS OF CORRUPTION OF OUR CONSTITUTION UNDER BUSH AND NEVER WAS HE DISRESPECTED THE WAY OBAMA IS. IT’S DISGRACEFUL AND UN-PATRIOTIC THE WAY YOU TEABAGGERS OR WHATEVER YOU CALL YOURSELVES SPOUT OFF ABOUT THINGS YOU KNOW NOTHING (BUT WHAT FOX NEWS TELLS YOU).

    • cr747

ALG,,You are so wrong..It is not that the President is black, or the President is white::I am a Democrat,,and also an attorney.. We have got a man in office that does not no what he is doing.. He isn’t intelligent enough to be Commander and Chief of the United States of America.. He was not,, and did not show enough intelligence when he was running for President.. People was ready for a change and fell for all his insecurities.. The first time I watched him debating,,I new he was a lyre.. I did not watch any more of his debates or his speeches..I made up my mind then He wasn’t smart enough or wise enough to be a state senator,, much less a President.. I did not vote for him.. The people that I have talked to that on up to saying they voted for him have all said,, they made a huge mistake..Most people you ask say,, oh no I didn’t vote for him.. You can tell they are lying,,just like you could tell Obama was lying while he was running for President.. As I have stated,,I am a DEMOCRAT,,but I did not vote for him ,,and will not vote for him;;ever..

In the 2010 elections there are going to be a big change in the Whitehouse,,and I predict Obama will be impeached for all his lying,,and being a Muslim,,and stating that the UNITED STATES is not a Christian Nation..Also not being born in the United States..

We have no place for a President of such as Obama in the Whitehouse.. The best thing he could do is to step down as President,,and walk out of office.. Then impeach Biden,,and of course Pelosi is not smart enough for the Presidency,, so she will be ousted as well!!!!!!!!!!!

      • David Hall

cr747, I beg to differ a little bit. Obama is EDUCATED & SMART enough
to DESTROY OUR NATION, WITHOUT FIRING A SHOT! Many people like myself,

that everybody will depend on GOVERNMENT for EVERYTHING! They already
are taking over ALL PRIVATE SECTORS and there are many, many IDIOTS,
THAT JUST CAN’T SEE IT OR UNDERSTAND WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!

WRONG, IT WANT BE BUSH’S FAULT! NOBODY, EXCEPT OBAMA! THE PRESIDENT

I am getting damn sick and tired of listening to people call Social Security a “gob

Our tax dollaars paid for Social Security and the only thing the damn govenment has done is STEAl from it for their so called pet projects…and of course they convently forgot to Pay it back! No entitlement here, just plain hard working men and women paid for that damn money! And it it wasn’t for Social Security, well, I’d be starving to death…We all pay for Medicare to….And nopw the government is giving my 800.00 bucks a month to all them damned ILLEGALS!
