Paula Deen, the Southern chef known for creating fat- and sugar-laden dishes, has sold her soul to the devil that is Big Pharma.
Deen now admits that she was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes three years ago. But rather than use her bully pulpit to preach a lifestyle of making healthy eating choices, Deen is now promoting the diabetes drug liraglutide (Victoza) manufactured by Novo Nordisk.
Nobody knows how long the present fascist system, euphemistically called American democracy, will last. It is totally corrupt, and the breakdown of the rule of law is all but complete. Oh, yes, we still have the national symbols of liberty — but in name only.
Q: Does it do any good for us to write our Congressman about an issue?
A: I cringe when I read “write your congressman.” I think of Dracula being in charge of the blood bank. With very few exceptions, the “elected” politicians are completely amoral. They have a completely different mindset from the people they are supposed to represent. They have absolutely no concept of right or wrong.
It’s doubtful President Barack Obama has read much written by the Founding Fathers. If he did, he’s forgotten it, because his idea of government is a far cry from what the Founders envisioned.
Obama is the ultimate crony capitalist. He uses government to reward his friends and campaign contributors. According to his State of the Union speech Tuesday night, he hopes to continue that trend. He said: “It’s time to end the taxpayer giveaways to an industry that’s rarely been more profitable, and double down on a clean energy industry that’s never been more promising.”
Apparently, Newt Gingrich never learned the Mark Twain adage: “If you tell the truth, you don’t have to remember anything.” Fresh off his win in South Carolina, Newt Gingrich went into full Gingrich mode and started talking off the top of his head again. It always gets him in trouble. This time, he just flat out lied.
Loving parents are being charged with child abuse because authorities fail to consider low levels of vitamin D in infants as a cause of broken bones and head trauma.
Many pediatricians warn parents to keep their newborns out of direct sunlight and use sun block to protect their baby’s skin. Pediatricians don’t routinely check infants for vitamin D levels. But breastfed babies, particularly black babies born in late winter and early spring and living above latitude 35 degrees, are susceptible to low vitamin D levels, according to John Cannell, MD., of the Vitamin D Council.
I am a regular reader of The Bob Livingston Letter™ and I was wondering if you have endorsed Ron Paul yet and if not why?
