As Democrats celebrate healthcare victory, Republicans vow to fight against the bill The healthcare bill received the final endorsement from the House of Representatives last week, and President Obama set out to promote the proposal among the American people, but many conservatives continue to vow to push for its repeal.

Among them is David Larsen, Republican candidate for the 7th Congressional District in New Jersey this November, who said that the Democrats’ celebration is premature as he will oppose the individual mandate if sent to Washington, based on his belief that it is intrusive and will lead to inefficiencies.

"Washington just handed another whopping tax to business and the average American better get used to waiting in lines [to get medical care]," he said.

Attorney General Henry McMaster of South Carolina, who joined a lawsuit against the federal government, echoed Larsen’s concerns, saying that the individual mandate is "unconstitutional and a violation of state sovereignty and individual liberty," according to CNN.

Meanwhile, President Obama was in Iowa City on March 26 to promote the bill, which he called "a historic step" that would give 32 million more Americans access to affordable healthcare.

He also challenged his Republican opponents to repeal the law, saying "go for it," The Washington Post reported.

"If they want to have that fight, we can have it," he added, quoted by the news provider.

    I fail to see how this healthcare bill as delivered will reduce the cost of health care.

      It will reduce health care and thus reduce the cost of healthcare. If you can’t find a doctor who has time to see you, you won’t have to pay as much. Also, abortion won’t be funded by taxes, it will be funded by cost sharing and premiums . Citizens will pay for Healthcare with premiums, co-pays and cost sharing (the rich pay for the poor.) Our new healthcare bill says that in the first year the maximum cost will by $5,000 per person and $10,000 per family and this maximum will go up each year. How many of you pay $5,000 a year now for your health insurance and health care? We don’t know what the premiums will be or the co-pays or the cost sharing because that will be determined by the Commissioner who will be appointed by the President and report to the President.       and the reconcilliation bill HR 4872
      is all legal jargon which you have to read along side all the other documents it refers to. No simple to understand language there.
      The Whitehouse website which is supposed to provide for transparency will tell you all the wonderful things about healthcare reform but does not help you to find the document to read yourself. “Let me explain it to you, oh citizen, who is stupid to understand”

      The whitehouse.gov website also will tell you how the Administration is modernizing the government. Obama will now take technology information from the private sector so that the government can provide even more services to the people. The next step is to have the government provide all the services that the private sector now provides. First step: Healthcare & banking (providing student loans instead of the banks) The federal government just took over the banking system. The money that banks made from loans has just gone “poof”. Those evil bankers will be going out of business soon. But who oversees the banks and let the evil bankers lose our money, why the Federal Reserve. Since they did such a wonderful job protecting our money from the evil bankers, wait a minute, no they didn’t protect us. The government had to bail us out. Oh well, will just give them more control that way they don’t have to watch anyone and since no one is watching them (they refuse to be audited) will just trust them to take care of us. Obama plans to completely take over ever sector of private services before next January. The vote may be in November, but the new electives don’t take office until late January. That is almost a full year that Obama has to get it done. And he will bypass congress just like he did with the student loans. The IRS will be deducting money from your paycheck (they just approved hiring 1700 more agents to take our money) Why do they need all of those IRS agents if our taxes are going down? Hmmm. Makes one ponder doesn’t it.

        my prediction bhcd (before health care deform) even bb before brown was 8-11 senate seats 1 down ten to go and 40-50 house now i think 60-80 is possible hcd is that unpopular.

      The Repubs have offered legislation, but most of their efforts were blocked. How do you get ANYTHING passed in a super-majority. The Dems lie and say the repubs aren’t willing to work with them, and the repubs say, they offered legislation and it’s thrown under the bus__Who do you believe?__The repubs offered tort reform, buying insurance across state lines to increase competition, tax reduction to allow people to open health care accounts__There was things that repubs offered that wouldn’t have been nearly as dramatic as the dems take over of health care. BUT, The dems had and agenda and they forged ahead and never looked back, now we’re gonna suffer for if indeed it’s not repealed!

          The Republicans did not have a super majority (veto-proof numbers in Congress)during the period of 1992-present. In fact, prior to the current Congress, neither party has had a super majority in the past 30 years.

            George, interesting that until, Obama, in the past 29 years, 20 years have had republican Presidents. Reconciliation was used 17 of 23 times by republican to get passed what they wanted. During the time that they didn’t have a super majority. That includes the tax cuts that Bush wanted so badly, that lost us over 1.3 trillion in revenue.

        The GOP geniuses have offered little beyond whining, griping, words of woe, intractable refusal, threats, and complete unwillingness to offer much of anything positive. I remember that blow hard, John Boehner, waving that booklet in tv that allegedly contained their program. The booklet was later found to be filled with blank pages. That sums it up.

        McCain, former great statesman, has devolved into an adolescent. He can’t have his way, so now he will cooperate on nothing (not that he did before). What happened to “country first”? What about his wonderful concession speech after the election. I guess it was all hollow rhetoric.

        And then there are the cerebrally challenged like Michelle Bachman who shows her lunacy every time she speaks. She even makes Pelosi look smart.

If our system of health care becomes like that of Canada, Fido and Fluffy will receive better and more timely medical care than will their human masters – a PETA dream but a nightmare to the American electorate. Hope and pray our Republican majorities are restored soon so that the Supreme Court may be awakened from it’s comatose state in time to save America from this imminent destroyer sent our way by the infamous DNC!

The Republicans will gain seats but not majorities in 2010 and Obama will get a second term.

          If they put forward the usual air headed slave to dogma, then chances are not good for the GOP. The people are tired of NO, no cooperation, no attempt to do anything positive, the insertion of mythical religion into education and science.

          If the GOP wants to win, they need to separate themselves from the ultra right wing nut jobs that have usurped the party from thoughtful conservatives and made it the party of servitude to reactionary slime like Dick Army and his brainwashed Tea Party faithful.

          The public is, however, ready for a brilliant, pragmatic, thoughtful conservative. The problem is finding one.

They aren’t allowed to work for any state, country, or federal government civil service positions, no teaching positions, no universities positions, no police, no fireman, no coal miners, (no unions) and the list goes on and on. We should be greatful that you allow us to have a military, but it is a government employer none the less.     Country needs most is a new amendment to the Constitution . I am recommending that we add the 28th amendment to the Constitution of the UNITED STATES.

    For too long we have been too complacent about the workings of Congress. Many citizens had no idea that Congress members could retire with the same pay after only one term, that they didn’t pay into Social Security, that they specifically exempted themselves from many of the laws they have passed (such as being exempt from any fear of prosecution for sexual harassment) while ordinary citizens must live under those laws. The latest is to exempt themselves from the Healthcare Reform that is being considered…in all of its forms. Somehow, that doesn’t seem logical. We do not have an elite that is above the law. I truly don’t care if they are Democrat, Republican, Independent or whatever. The self-serving must stop.

    This is a good way to do that. It is an idea whose time has come.

    “Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Congressman, Senators and Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Congressman. That’s why there is so much behind the scenes efforts to pass gun legislation.     Perhaps we should each decide who our real leader is….. It is amazing to see that very little has changed in 4,000 years.

    Good morning, brothers and sisters; it’s always a delight to see the pews crowded on Sunday morning,
    and so eager to get into God’s Word. Turn with me in your Bibles,
    if you will to the 47th chapter of Genesis, we’ll begin our reading at verse 13, and go through verse 27.

    Brother Ray, would you stand and read that great passage for us?
    ….(reading)…Thank you for that fine reading, Brother Ray… So we see that economic hard times fell upon Egypt ,
    and the people turned to the government of Pharaoh to deal with this for them.
    And Pharaoh nationalized the grain harvest, and placed the grain in great storehouses that he had built. So the people brought their money to Pharaoh, like a great tax increase,
    and gave it all to him willingly in return for grain. And this went on until their money ran out, and they were hungry again.

    So when they went to Pharaoh after that, they brought their livestock, their cattle, their horses, their sheep, and their donkey – to barter for grain, and verse 17 says that only took them through the end of that year..

    But the famine wasn’t over, was it? What can we learn from this, brothers and sisters?

    That turning to the government instead of to God to be our provider in hard times only leads to slavery?
    Yes.
    That the only reason government wants to be our provider is to also become our master?

    Yes.

    But look how that passage ends, brothers and sisters! Thus Israel settled in the land of Egypt, in the land of Goshen…And they gained possessions in it, and were fruitful and multiplied greatly.” God provided for His people, just as He always has! They didn’t end up giving all their possessions to possessions to government, no, it says they gained possessions! But I also tell you a great truth today, and an ominous one.

    We see the same thing happening today – the government today wants to “share the wealth “once again, to take it from us and redistribute it back to us. It wants to take control of healthcare, just as it has taken control of education, and ration it back to us, and when government rations it, then government decides who gets it, and how much, and what kind. And if we go along with it, and do it willingly, then we will wind up no differently than the people of Egypt did four thousand years ago – as slaves to the government, and as slaves to our leaders.

    What Mr. Obama’s government is doing now is no different from what Pharaoh’s government did then, and it will end the same.

    And a lot of people like to call Mr. Obama a “Messiah,” don’t they?

    Is he a Messiah?

    A savior?

    Didn’t the Egyptians say, after Pharaoh made them his slaves, “You have saved our lives; may it please my lord, we will be servants to Pharaoh”?

    Well, I tell you this, I know the Messiah; the Messiah is a friend of mine; and Mr. Obama is no Messiah! No, brothers and sisters, if Mr. Obama is a character from the Bible, then he is Pharaoh.

    Bow with me in prayer, if you will.

    Lord, You alone are worthy to be served, and we rely on You, and You alone.

    We confess that the government is not our deliverer, and never rightly will be.

    We read in the eighth chapter of 1 Samuel, when Samuel warned the people of what a ruler would do, where it says “And in that day you will cry out because of your king, whom you have chosen for yourselves, but the LORD will not answer you in that day.”
    And Lord, we acknowledge that day has come. We cry out to you because of the ruler that we have chosen for ourselves as a nation. Lord, we pray for this nation. We pray for revival, and we pray for deliverance from those who would be our masters.

    Give us hearts to seek You and hands to serve You, and protect Your people from the atrocities of Pharaoh’s government.

    In God We Trust…

    President Obama was having that one, lone brief conversation this year with General McChrystal about Afghanistan .

    Things were obviously not going the way the General had hoped. Obama could sense this, and told him, “I bet when I die, you’ll pee on my grave.”

    To which General McChrystal answers, “No sir, I’ve always said that when I get out of the Army, I’ll never again wait in another long line.”

    Classic paranoia is a polite way to look at this twisted administration. Its leader is more like a strutting peacock. If I’ve ever seen someone who is arrogant and self-serving, it’s Obummer.
    He is a living throwback to a time in America when
    public figures (Hamilton, Marshall, Arnold, Burr) dared to put themslves before the good of the nation. They were extremely devious, and Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson and many others recognized them for the dangerous in-house, freedom-hating scum they were.
    Obummer is yet another in a long line of back-stabbers who have been told they can have anything they want in life (because they’re so “special”)- if they are willing to pay the price.
    Obummer’s out-of-touch approach to reality
    is best described as ‘do what thou wilt.’ Some will recognize that phrase. Many won’t. It is an ancient, siren call of evil. It comes in the guise of light, but in its heart is absolute darkness.
    Anyone who expects good things to come from this
    administration never knew the difference between good and bad, and probably never will.

    I’d sure like to think that improving our healthcare and equally reducing the cost was the GOAL of this bill but in my infinite wisdom, it was created so vastly by slight of hand that some people … many people didn’t realize that it was to scoop up faithful Americans and put them on a ship that sails under a different flag.     I would like to know where the battlegrounds will be for the Republican and Democratic parties, I would like to join in as a Independent party so I can fight you both off, before you destroy this country completely. How dare you think that this is all about you and don’t tell me you have the American People’s interest at heart that is a bunch of crap I am tired of stepping in. I will never forget in all my life how Republicans, Democrats, and Independent Parties all thought how Obama was going to be our answer to all the problems of the world, he was going to save us, and our lives would be safe in his hands. Well I feel first and foremost he hasn’t been President of this country all that long to make a great big difference. George Bush had eight years to make a difference and look where we got, no where obsolutely no where!!! I don’t want your comments on this because I just don’t have the time for a bunch of uprises to what I just said. I still believe in our country, “ONE NATION UNDER GOD”, that is the bottom line, whether you like it or not that is what it is, that is what our country was built on. “WE THE PEOPLE FOR THE PEOPLE”. We all need to take a refresher course on the history of our Beautiful Country. So to the Repulicans and Democrats alike wake up before you destroy us all, no American can feel safe in any of your hands.

    The bottom line here is we can’t afford this HC Bill and its also UNCONSTITUTIONAL. It is against the law to force people to buy goods and services! The Founding Fathers are rolling their graves! Most Repubs did not think BO was great. That isn’t true. We thought he looked like he was “still wet behind the ears” and also “like a wolf in sheep’s clothing”. If we start a third party, it will only serve to let the Dems win again. Remember what happened with Perout? Clinton won because Perout split the ticket. And we must debate or people will not know the truth. The Founding Fathers did. Remember them?

Yes it is true it is unconstitutional what is going on in this country right now and I also agree our Founding Fathers have been turning in their graves for a very long time now. I sure don’t have the answer but neither does the Republicans nor the Democrats, so where does that leave us? I am not saying all Republicans agreed with the election of Obama, and neither did all of the Democrats, but it was the election of whomever voted that got him in there, unfortunately the American People are who suffer from every election we have.

    The Truth About the Health Care Bills – Michael Connelly, Ret. Constitutional Attorney

    Well, I have done it! I have read the entire text of proposed House Bill 3200: The Affordable Health Care Choices Act of 2009. I studied it with particular emphasis from my area of expertise, constitutional law. I was frankly concerned that parts of the proposed law that were being discussed might be unconstitutional. What I found was far worse than what I had heard or expected.

    To begin with, much of what has been said about the law and its implications is in fact true, despite what the Democrats and the media are saying. The law does provide for rationing of health care, particularly where senior citizens and other classes of citizens are involved, free health care for illegal immigrants, free abortion services, and probably forced participation in abortions by members of the medical profession.

    The Bill will also eventually force private insurance companies out of business, and put everyone into a government run system. All decisions about personal health care will ultimately be made by federal bureaucrats, and most of them will not be health care professionals. Hospital admissions, payments to physicians, and allocations of necessary medical devices will be strictly controlled by the government.

    However, as scary as all of that is, it just scratches the surface. In fact, I have concluded that this legislation really has no intention of providing affordable health care choices. Instead it is a convenient cover for the most massive transfer of power to the Executive Branch of government that has ever occurred, or even been contemplated If this law or a similar one is adopted, major portions of the Constitution of the United States will effectively have been destroyed.

    The first thing to go will be the masterfully crafted balance of power between the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches of the U.S. Government. The Congress will be transferring to the Obama Administration authority in a number of different areas over the lives of the American people, and the businesses they own.

    The irony is that the Congress doesn’t have any authority to legislate in most of those areas to begin with! I defy anyone to read the text of the U.S. Constitution and find any authority granted to the members of Congress to regulate health care.

    This legislation also provides for access, by the appointees of the Obama administration, of all of your personal healthcare direct violation of the specific provisions of the 4th Amendment to the Constitution information, your personal financial information, and the information of your employer, physician, and hospital. All of this is a protection against unreasonable searches and seizures. You can also forget about the right to privacy. That will have been legislated into oblivion regardless of what the 3rd and 4th Amendments may provide.

    If you decide not to have healthcare insurance, or if you have private insurance that is not deemed acceptable to the Health Choices Administrator appointed by Obama, there will be a tax imposed on you. It is called a tax instead of a fine because of the intent to avoid application of the due process clause of the 5th Amendment. However , that doesn’t work because since there is nothing in the law that allows you to contest or appeal the imposition of the tax, it is definitely depriving someone of property without the due process of law.

    So, there are three of those pesky amendments that the far left hate so much, out the original ten in the Bill of Rights, that are effectively nullified by this law It doesn’t stop there though.

    The 9th Amendment that provides: The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people;

    The 10th Amendment states: The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are preserved to the States respectively, or to the people. Under the provisions of this piece of Congressional handiwork neither the people nor the states are going to have any rights or powers at all in many areas that once were theirs to control.

    I could write many more pages about this legislation, but I think you get the idea. This is not about health care; it is about seizing power and limiting rights. Article 6 of the Constitution requires the members of both houses of Congress to “be bound by oath or affirmation to support the Constitution.” If I was a member of Congress I would not be able to vote for this legislation or anything like it, without feeling I was violating that sacred oath or affirmation. If I voted for it anyway, I would hope the American people would hold me accountable.

    For those who might doubt the nature of this threat, I suggest they consult the source, the US Constitution, and Bill of Rights. There you can see exactly what we are about to have taken from us.

      THank you Michael J. Finally someone with some proof of what I have been saying. This is just a way for Obama to obtain absolute power- to be a Dictator! There are hundreds of thousands of us out here that knew this just weren’t able to prove it! Now if only we could find a Judge high up with guts enough to take on the issue of Obama’s illegality then all this would be null and void! And there is plenty of proof of that too!

      I read the first 100 pages and that was tough reading. What I discovered was that everything in the bill is based on what the chairperson decides it will be. And this chairperson will be appointed by the President.

      My husband & I learned a very hard lesson that cost us a lot of money. We listened to what a salesman told us and promised us. We questioned a few things on the contract, but his boss, the super duper salesman who is a bully & a liar, convinced us that it meant something other than what we thought it meant. So we signed on the dotted line. We then learned that everthing the salesman told us didn’t matter one iota. The only thing that matter was what the document we signed stated. The things we questioned were in fact exactly what they said they were. We believed the lie. The hard sell execute are very good at manipulating you into believing the lie. They insinuate you are stupid if you don’t see what a good deal this is, the make it sound so good. Well, it wasn’t good. It cost us a lot of money.

      I see the same thing happening here. Obama said Americans weren’t for the Healthcare bill because he hadn’t explained it well enough. Just like the Big Boss in the sales department, they try to find out how to get you to agree and sign on the dotted line. One of the tricks is to say “The deal is only good today, you need to sign up now.” If that doesn’t work, they add in more “goodies” to entice you. We fell for that too and found out later, those goodies were worthless. They ask you a lot of questions about yourself so that they know just what to say to get you to pay. What is important to this person. Appeal to their greedy hearts, or appeal to their dream, whatever it may be. And it is always with the promise that it will pay for itself in the long run. They wear you down so that you become confused. It sounds so good. It won’t cost us anything in the future. It was all a scam.

      So why was this bill 2000+ pages? So people wouldn’t read it. And anyone who did read it and opposed what it said were made to look stupid. Everything a high pressure salesman does was used to pass this law. Just like the document we signed, it is in legal language that is hard to understand.

      And surprise, surprise, the document we signed is now meaningless, because they have written up new documents (the old documents gave them the right to do that without our consent.)       Much of the bill is to be determined by the Commissioner who is appointed by the President and reports to the President. Read the section on Governance.

      If you go to the whitehouse website they will give you the sales pitch information. They can’t really tell you anything yet, because the Commissioner has to make all of the decisions first. Please read the bill and then the reconcilliation bill HR 4872

      Remember you will be responsible and receive what is put in writing, not what the salesman promised you.

        “So why was this bill 2000+ pages?” Basically, because it took a 2700 page document to attempt the circumvention of a 200 year old, masterfully crafted 17 page document called The Constitution.

        I believe however, that history will testify to the total failure of Obama and his tyranical attempt to impose Socialism/Communism on “We the People”.

          I only hope it is soon enough. Obama & his democrats have until January 2011 to screw up as much as they can. It makes my blood boil so then I turn to the Lord and he reminds me “Do not worry about anything, instead make your petition known to the Lord, and the peace that surpasses all understanding will guard your heart and mind.” In other words tell the Lord what your worried about and ask for his help, then believe that he will do what is necessary to fight the darkness that has taken root in our land. I am repenting for my sins and turning away from them and turning to the only one who can help me in times of need. For this is a spiritual battle against the forces of evil. Our nation has turned from God: The evidence is everywhere. I have stopped watching television shows that promote sexual immorality of all kinds. Sexual addiction has surpassed drug addiction in this country. We need to stand up to the industry that promotes immorality. Why do you think the children are having sex at younger and younger ages. Our culture talks about sex all of the time. I have been guilty of watching television shows that are not good for this nation and I am stopping now. If we want our nation to change- we have to change. We have become a culture that seeks nothing but pleasure. If you truly want to make a difference. STOP going to the movies. Stop buying DVD’s that are offensive to our morals. Even the children’s movies are dispicable. (They constantly show children as smarter than their parents and applaud rude behavior.) I hear young people, guys and girls dropping the “F” bomb every where I go. But if we want them to change, we have to change. Wash all of the fowl language out of our vocabulary. Treat people with dignity and respect whether they deserve it or not. We have to stop the name calling. If we stand together and change our behaviors we can change this country back to “One Nation Under God.” Anger will only cause more division. Obama came prepared for the fight. It is not about upgrading their computer systems, it is all about gaining control of ours. There is one battle on top of another. The enemy wants to wear us out. And Pray in all circumstances for our leaders, those who are leading the fight in Washington and in every state in the Union. Get on your knees and repent Wear your armor morning, noon, and night.

    You are totally correct …. another thing I heard and you did not mention but could verify is that a TAX is not legal either unless it is imposed equally on everyone … not just on a few … so a tax would not stand up constitutionally … AM I CORRECT???

      According to Michael Connelly, calling the fine for not obtaining health care insurance a tax doesn’t work because since there is nothing in the law that allows you to contest or appeal the imposition of the tax, it is definitely depriving someone of property without the due process of law.

    Everything about this system is built on deception, beginning with
    the currency. Why is anyone surprised that those who swear to uphold
    the Constitution have their fingers crossed behind their backs?

    We have such big government because we have so many citizens and non-citizens that feel they’re “entitled” to “free stuff” and don’t know what it means to take pride in ones self, or be responsible or take care of yourself and your family….they “expect” the government to do it not realizing the government has no money, it spends the taxpayers money to pay for all the “free” programs which I am not against…everyone falls on hard times and these programs were designed to “assist and get you back on your feet”, not feed, clothe and house you indefinitely.

    1.Put term limits on Welfare, you receive compensation only if you prove you’re a U.S. citizen and you attend required education and skill classes to help you find a job. You attend required counseling to get motivated and be able to market yourself, etc. By 2 years your help is up and you either a.) valued this service and are better for it with a new job and new outlook on life wanting to “pay it forward” to help the next individual or family facing hard times…or b.) you pissed it all away thinking you will find another program when 2 years is up…By getting more people educated, skilled and taking pride…the 2yr limit will pay for the guidance programs itself because it will get people back out in the work force contributing their fair share of taxes to programs like this and they won’t be indefinitely paid.

    2. Don’t blanket extend unemployments without checks and balances. People should have to report in each week with signed acknowledgments of where they have gone and submitted resume’s…some system to prove they are truly looking for work

    3. Don’t make loans to people who have no way of paying them. Many that refinanced into lower mortgage payments have defaulted on those too. What did that solve? Bad risk is bad risk and unfortunately has hurt those that did use credit responsibly…I can remember when I got my first car…I had NO credit established and I had to have a co-signer and slowly build a credit history by paying my loan on time and consistently…now anyone can send in an application full of lies and get credit…dumb, dumb, dumb and irresponsible.

    4. Throw out stupid law suits…waste of taxpayer money and doesn’t make the person sueing accountable for squat…the message we’re sending is sue instead of taking ownership for you or your childs own fault at causing something…instead we pay them to shut them up and they’re happy but leaves everyone hopping on the band wagon to instant gratification

    5. Defat the government and put money back into businesses that would create jobs like infrastructure…open the steel mills again with better equipment and start giving the USA a good rail system throughout the country, let the salvage yards go to the factories for income instead of being barged to foreign countries that do manufacture, lets clean up our beaches and waterways to repopulate the ocean life so it can thrive again. Again, jobs in cleaning and supporting Americans…I could go on and on here.

    6. Create competetive insurance tiered to people’s life stages from family plans to individual plans to senior plans…include preventative care to keep us healthy and not doped up on Big Pharma’s medicine from infancy to death…that is disease care, NOT health care! With Dental coverage you get teeth cleaning every 6 months and x-rays every 2 years as preventative with many plans…lets get health insurance on board with complete detox of toxins in the system 1x a year, colonic 4x a year…these 2 things alone would prevent 63% of cancers and auto immune problems just from staying cleaned out so the there is never a chance for build-up in the body….but oh no…if 1/2 the population wasn’t getting sick then the Big Pharma stockholder would lose billions of money…I say screw that and get competative companies that are willing to include alternative care in the offered plans!!!

    There are so many ways to improve they way we throw money out but I guess you can’t expect the upcoming generations to be responsible when our own leaders don’t set the example with their frivolus and less than stellar track record….It all comes down to “power plays”, “money”, “greed”, “evil”…if our government really cared about the country they represent, change would be easy, but follow the $$ and you have your answer…they’ve all sold-out to the highest bidder!!

    John, the reps. didn’t have a super majority for six yaers. Or you don’t understand what super majority means. Super majority means that the lessor party cann’t block or stop anything the majority wants. The rep. may have had a majority and the presidental branch. I really will have a good laugh, when healthcare bill bits the union retards,the lost jobs will happen because companies cann’t support or afford to pay lazy assed – do nothings, year after year. Every time I hear a company kicking the union’s out and then keep on hiring people not in the union. Haliburton got rid of one union, they have been going around and fighting with for almost 3 years. HAHAHAHA!!! Now hotels and rersorts will close or fail with people not having the money to travel and go places.       Does the health care law ensure that there will actually be a doctor available to see every American, or that doctors won’t charge more than the health care administration is willing to pay, requiring patients to pay the additional amount?

    With over 75% of Americans feeling that Washington is broken, there’s only one way to fix it… in November 2010, vote out every incumbent. The right and the left can agree that Washington needs a revolution and the best way to make politicians listen is to make a lot of them unemployed. If 33 new senators are elected in November don’t you think they remaining 67 will get the message? How responsive will the House of Representatives be when they all realize they were voted in because they ran against an incumbent? Surely that’s a plan both the right and left can agree on? A non-violent revolution that sends a very clear message to Washington… change or join the unemployed in two years. If Washington is broken, we should get brand new parts.

    i41, The unions built ths country from 60′s thru 2003. Now, thanks to reagon and Bushs, the infrastures are all deteriating. Unions, now only comprise of less than 7%, so how can you blam them. Well now, whose going to rebuild America, YOU, are you going to work with your hands and get them dirty,or is that below your dignity. If the unions don’t revitalize, it will be the illegal aligns that rebild this country. Wake Up.

    Sorry for coming in late but I would like to thank James A. Graham for giving me a good laugh. I don’t like to wait in lines either.

    James A. Graham: Members of Congress must serve 5 years before they are eligible for a pension and legislation in 2007 penalizes those in Congress who are removed for reason. Unfortunately, it doesn’t include those who were removed prior to passage in 2007.

    James Mcpherson: I know hospitals take patients who have no insurance including illegal immigrants and is why when you see an $80 charge for Tylenol on the bill, it is how they make up the difference. The only thing that has changed is now the Federal Government is going to tell you what you can or cannot do. They tell you they are going after the insurance companies and drug makers but the reality is they are in bed with them. The stock market in these areas are surging. Seems to me it should be just the opposite.
    You will see that covering everyone is not sustainable due to insufficient infrastructure and medical personnel to accommodate who really knows how many millions. They can’t even give you an absolute number. Doctors have been moving to hospitals away from private practice for about 5 years now and some have given up because of the high cost of doing business with malpractice insurance being a big reason. Think Congress is going to allow Tort reform when the lawyers are the ones that keep them in office? Their answer was we might allow some modification to it but will probably wait until this matter dies down and forget about it. The numbers don’t jive and the CBO estimate was a Dog and Pony show. They were factoring information given to them and did not include many unfunded parts of Health Care Reform.
    I personally believe we are headed in the direction of higher cost and less quality in health care.

    Throwing out Congress will be like arresting the street drug-dealers.
    The problem is at the top, the foreign financiers. As soon as the new
    kids get sworn in they’ll be given the facts of life (and survival)
    and the agenda will go on.

    The guys who hold all the money run the show and have all the power.
    We don’t even know who most of them are, and they plan to keep it that way. All we see are front men.

    Maybe if we cleaned house and then set up our own currency system,
    we could begin again. To do this we would need a committed and moral
    people.
