Armchair Psychiatric Speculation No Help

Armchair Psychiatric Speculation No Help
UPI
A school bus approaches the entrance to a cemetery where some victims of the Newtown, Conn., massacre were buried.

NEW YORK (UPI) — As many grapple with why anyone would kill small children, a U.S. psychiatrist says it’s a mistake to blame Sandy Hook on Asperger’s or a personality disorder.

Harold S. Koplewicz, a psychiatrist and president of the Child Mind Institute in New York, said whatever motivated 20-year-old Adam Lanza, it was not from a place of good mental health.

“We don’t know whether he had a history of psychiatric illness or if had been exhibiting signs of a psychotic breakdown. Unfortunately, that hasn’t stopped extensive speculation that Lanza had Asperger’s disorder, or a personality disorder, and even obsessive-compulsive disorder,” Koplewicz said in a statement. “Much has been made of the reports that Lanza was a smart but quiet kid who carried a briefcase to class instead of a backpack and felt at home with computers, perhaps more so than with his peers.”

These amateur diagnoses based on unconfirmed information are very harmful, Koplewicz said.

“To my mind perhaps the worst is the suggestion that the unimaginable nature of this violence — the fact that children were targeted — somehow indicates a lack of empathy that can be associated with autism spectrum disorders. This is completely untrue. Individuals on the spectrum are in no way predisposed to this kind of violent behavior,” Koplewicz said.

“Ample research proves otherwise. And while individuals with autism may be less adept at picking up non-verbal social cues, they are just as capable of experiencing emotional empathy as anyone else. I have known many autistic children who would be crushed knowing that a sibling, a parent, or even a spider was suffering.”

Want to stop the violence? Here is the answer:

Eric Harris age 17 (first on Zoloft then Luvox) and Dylan Klebold aged 18 (Colombine school shooting in Littleton, Colorado), killed 12 students and 1 teacher, and wounded 23 others, before killing themselves. Klebold’s medical records have never been made available to the public.

Jeff Weise, age 16, had been prescribed 60 mg/day of Prozac (three times the average starting dose for adults!) when he shot his grandfather, his grandfather’s girlfriend and many fellow students at Red Lake, Minnesota. He then shot himself. 10 dead, 12 wounded.

Cory Baadsgaard, age 16, Wahluke (Washington state) High School, was on Paxil (which caused him to have hallucinations) when he took a rifle to his high school and held 23 classmates hostage. He has no memory of the event.

Chris Fetters, age 13, killed his favorite aunt while taking Prozac.

Christopher Pittman, age 12, murdered both his grandparents while taking Zoloft.

Mathew Miller, age 13, hung himself in his bedroom closet after taking Zoloft for 6 days.

Jarred Viktor, age 15, stabbed his grandmother 61 times after 5 days on Paxil.

Kip Kinkel, age 15, (on Prozac and Ritalin) shot his parents while they slept then went to school and opened fire killing 2 classmates and injuring 22 shortly after beginning Prozac treatment.

Luke Woodham, age 16 (Prozac) killed his mother and then killed two students, wounding six others.

A boy in Pocatello, ID (Zoloft) in 1998 had a Zoloft-induced seizure that caused an armed stand off at his school.

Michael Carneal (Ritalin), age 14, opened fire on students at a high school prayer meeting in West Paducah, Kentucky. Three teenagers were killed, five others were wounded..

A young man in Huntsville, Alabama (Ritalin) went psychotic chopping up his parents with an ax and also killing one sibling and almost murdering another.

Andrew Golden, age 11, (Ritalin) and Mitchell Johnson, aged 14, (Ritalin) shot 15 people, killing four students, one teacher, and wounding 10 others.

TJ Solomon, age 15, (Ritalin) high school student in Conyers, Georgia opened fire on and wounded six of his class mates.

Rod Mathews, age 14, (Ritalin) beat a classmate to death with a bat.

James Wilson, age 19, (various psychiatric drugs) from Breenwood, South Carolina, took a .22 caliber revolver into an elementary school killing two young girls, and wounding seven other children and two teachers.

Elizabeth Bush, age 13, (Paxil) was responsible for a school shooting in Pennsylvania

Jason Hoffman (Effexor and Celexa) – school shooting in El Cajon, California

Jarred Viktor, age 15, (Paxil), after five days on Paxil he stabbed his grandmother 61 times.

Chris Shanahan, age 15 (Paxil) in Rigby, ID who out of the blue killed a woman.

Jeff Franklin (Prozac and Ritalin), Huntsville, AL, killed his parents as they came home from work using a sledge hammer, hatchet, butcher knife and mechanic’s file, then attacked his younger brothers and sister.

Neal Furrow (Prozac) in LA Jewish school shooting reported to have been court-ordered to be on Prozac along with several other medications.

Kevin Rider, age 14, was withdrawing from Prozac when he died from a gunshot wound to his head. Initially it was ruled a suicide, but two years later, the investigation into his death was opened as a possible homicide. The prime suspect, also age 14, had been taking Zoloft and other SSRI antidepressants.

Alex Kim, age 13, hung himself shortly after his Lexapro prescription had been doubled.

Diane Routhier was prescribed Welbutrin for gallstone problems. Six days later, after suffering many adverse effects of the drug, she shot herself.

Billy Willkomm, an accomplished wrestler and a University of Florida student, was prescribed Prozac at the age of 17. His family found him dead of suicide – hanging from a tall ladder at the family’s Gulf Shore Boulevard home in July 2002.

Kara Jaye Anne Fuller-Otter, age 12, was on Paxil when she hung herself from a hook in her closet. Kara’s parents said “…. the damn doctor wouldn’t take her off it and I asked him to when we went in on the second visit. I told him I thought she was having some sort of reaction to Paxil…”)

Gareth Christian, Vancouver, age 18, was on Paxil when he committed suicide in 2002,

(Gareth’s father could not accept his son’s death and killed himself.)

Julie Woodward, age 17, was on Zoloft when she hung herself in her family’s detached garage.

Matthew Miller was 13 when he saw a psychiatrist because he was having difficulty at school. The psychiatrist gave him samples of Zoloft. Seven days later his mother found him dead, hanging by a belt from a laundry hook in his closet.

Kurt Danysh, age 18, and on Prozac, killed his father with a shotgun. He is now behind prison bars, and writes letters, trying to warn the world that SSRI drugs can kill.

Woody ____, age 37, committed suicide while in his 5th week of taking Zoloft. Shortly before his death his physician suggested doubling the dose of the drug. He had seen his physician only for insomnia. He had never been depressed, nor did he have any history of any mental illness symptoms.

A boy from Houston, age 10, shot and killed his father after his Prozac dosage was increased.

Hammad Memon, age 15, shot and killed a fellow middle school student. He had been diagnosed with ADHD and depression and was taking Zoloft and “other drugs for the conditions.”

Matti Saari, a 22-year-old culinary student, shot and killed 9 students and a teacher, and wounded another student, before killing himself. Saari was taking an SSRI and a benzodiazapine.

Steven Kazmierczak, age 27, shot and killed five people and wounded 21 others before killing himself in a Northern Illinois University auditorium. According to his girlfriend, he had recently been taking Prozac, Xanax and Ambien. Toxicology results showed that he still had trace amounts of Xanax in his system.

Finnish gunman Pekka-Eric Auvinen, age 18, had been taking antidepressants before he killed eight people and wounded a dozen more at Jokela High School – then he committed suicide.

Asa Coon from Cleveland, age 14, shot and wounded four before taking his own life. Court records show Coon was on Trazodone.

Jon Romano, age 16, on medication for depression, fired a shotgun at a teacher in his
    New York high school.

Perhaps rather than gun-control, we should be looking closer to instituting pharma-
    control?

Parents also need to know that they can stop feeding their kids whatever drugs the good doctor put them on. Sure it is “against medical advice” but when you are closely monitoring your child and you see an adverse affect you as the parent can be on their side and say “I don’t think you need to take this anymore we’ll talk to the doctor again when we go” Who has primary responsibility for the child? You or your doctor? Accept that responsibility and make some decisions. Doctors are not all knowing and unless you work with a doctor that is willing to work with you go find one that will listen.

“Thanks to Watcher Tom for this list!”

It’s my understanding that the Church of Scientology has similar gripes about shrinks and drugs.

      Perhaps you might collaborate…

After all, you might get Tom Cruze to talk about it publicly. Oh, that’s right, he already has.

Deceptive marketing of expensive, often deadly pharmaceutical drugs has led to the creation of multi-billion dollar markets based on the expansion, rather than elimination of, diseases.

Whilst portraying itself as offering solutions to the world’s major endemic diseases, the pharmaceutical industry thrives on the exploitation of diseases for profit.

Multi-billion dollar drug markets are artificially created by marketing as “cures” toxic chemical drugs which simply treat the symptoms of diseases – and not the causes. Consequently, major endemic diseases continue to spread, further increasing the drug companies’ sales and profits.

Worse still, not only does the pharmaceutical fraud involve this deceptive and deadly marketing, it also goes much further than that by ignoring, hiding and obstructing effective, safe and scientifically proven natural therapies that are capable of largely eradicating the world’s major endemic diseases.

The following links provide detailed information on the most significant disease frauds currently being perpetrated by the pharmaceutical drug cartel:

You’re at it again, Jay—-you sly devil, you. Putting out a long list of kids who took drugs and did something bad. WOW! SEE HOW TAKING THESE DRUGS CAN MAKE YOU CRAZY! And MAKE YOU do CRAZY things? And you got some people to agree with you and go off on a tangent that does not speak to the main thrust of the article.

Nice job of obfuscation and diversion, but the logic here is just a bit faulty. There’s a little thing about coincidence versus causality to consider. These kids were sick BEFORE they took these drugs, which were administered in the hope that they would be helped by them.

Do we know if they might have done even worse things or done them sooner if they hadn’t taken the drugs?
Do we know if a different drug or a different dosage might have worked better?
Do we know how many kids with similar symptoms did NOT do horrible things because the drugs worked for them?

The answer to all is NO, just as a long listing of fatal crashes involving F-150 pickup trucks that had Michelin tires doesn’t necessarily mean the tires were at fault. You shouldn’t take advantage of people just because they don’t understand logic, propaganda, and statistics, Jay.

RBT: You’re at it again, Jay—-you sly devil, you.

As a poster commented on another thread: “But as the article suggests, the problem is multifaceted. There are layers and layers of issues that must be addressed to help reduce the violence in our country.

All i’m doing, RBT, is analyzing one of the layers and suggesting to people not to overlook one of the most obvious of “layers/factors”.

RBT: Nice job of obfuscation and diversion, but the logic here is just a bit faulty. There’s a little thing about coincidence versus causality to consider.

Those are two many coincidences to ignore, RBT, perhaps more then enough to confirm “causality”?

RBT: These kids were sick BEFORE they took these drugs, which were administered in the hope that they would be helped by them.

True, they were ill before being administered Psychotropic Drugs, but it was only after long term use of said drugs, that they engaged in psychotic-behaviour.

RBT: Do we know if they might have done even worse things or done them sooner if they hadn’t taken the drugs?

What could be worse than the things they committed while under the influence of psychotropic-drugs? One thing we know for sure: The horrible things they committed while under the influence of these drugs.

RBT: Do we know if a different drug or a different dosage might have worked better?

Experimentation to determine correct dosage or the appropriate medication is standard procedure in the field of Psychiatry. So your argument; redundant. No offence intended…

RBT: Do we know how many kids with similar symptoms did NOT do horrible things because the drugs worked for them?

We do not know, since they haven’t committed some of those horrible things, yet. However, I fear that as time goes on, more will be added to the above list. And i’m quite certain the above list is incomplete.

RBT: The answer to all is NO, just as a long listing of fatal crashes involving F-150 pickup trucks that had Michelin tires doesn’t necessarily mean the tires were at fault.

Perhaps, but asserting that Michelin tires were responsible for the long listing of fatal crashes involving F-150 pick-up trucks merits serious consideration, for precisely the reason that all F-150 pick-up trucks involved in the long list of fatal crashes were equipped with Michelin tires!

RBT: You shouldn’t take advantage of people just because they don’t understand logic, propaganda, and statistics, Jay.

I’m taking advantage of people, how exactly???

      • Right Brain Thinker

Ah, Jay, you are still at it. Let’s start at the end with my comment that “You shouldn’t take advantage of people just because they don’t understand logic, propaganda, and statistics, Jay”.

You asked, “I’m taking advantage of people, how exactly???”
Exactly as I said—–because they don’t understand logic, propaganda, and statistics, all of which you have indirectly misused, abused, and twisted by posting this list and implying it had validity. You are also taking advantage of the fact that a lot of folks on this site apparently just skim until something agrees with what they WANT to believe, in which case they then swallow ALL of it without question, and incorporate the basic premise into their belief system. Or the other side of the coin, they see something they DON’T WANT to believe, in which case they reject everything, which they should have done here but most likely didn’t. That old bugaboo—-motivated reasoning/confirmation bias/disconfirmation bias—-that I’m always preaching about—-is alive and well on PLD.

Actually, I’m not sure YOU even read it closely enough yourself or you wouldn’t have said, “True, they were ill before being administered Psychotropic Drugs, but it was only after LONG TERM use of said drugs, that they engaged in psychotic behaviour”.
The truth is that most of the cases cited don’t specify how long they were on the drugs, so you can’t say that with any veracity, AND more than 20% of them actually DID specify a short term of use (6,6,5,7, and 5 days and two “shortly after starting”).

You said, “All i’m doing, RBT, is analyzing one of the layers and suggesting to people not to overlook one of the most obvious of “layers/factors”.
Sorry, but you did NO “analysis” whatsoever—-you merely threw out something inflammatory in the hopes that it would get people to accept your statement that “Perhaps rather than gun-control, we should be looking closer to instituting pharma-control?”

You said, “Those are too many coincidences to ignore, RBT, perhaps more then enough to confirm “causality”?
No “perhaps”, Jay—–40 instances hardly constitutes an adequate statistical sample, and your rhetorical question, “What could be worse than the things they committed while under the influence of psychotropic-drugs? One thing we know for sure: The horrible things they committed while under the influence of these drugs” is just that, rhetoric..

I asked, “Do we know how many kids with similar symptoms did NOT do horrible things because the drugs worked for them?”
And you answered, “We do not know, since they haven’t committed some of those horrible things, yet. However, I fear that as time goes on, more will be added to the above list. And I’m quite certain the above list is incomplete”.
You prove my point when you say you’re “quite certain the list is incomplete”. It most certainly is, because it does NOT contain the cases that I suggested—–the ones where the the drugs worked and PREVENTED “horrible things” from happening and will do so in the future. And I feel safe in saying that “I’m quite sure that number will FAR exceed the number of horrible things” We don’t have crystal balls to truly know the “numbers” here, Jay, but it’s sheer demagoguery to try and make the case you have.

I said, “…..a long listing of fatal crashes involving F-150 pickup trucks that had Michelin tires doesn’t necessarily mean the tires were at fault”.
To which, you replied, “Perhaps, but asserting that Michelin tires were responsible for the long listing of fatal crashes involving F-150 pick-up trucks merits serious consideration, for precisely the reason that all F-150 pick-up trucks involved in the long list of fatal crashes were equipped with Michelin tires!”
So, I’m glad that you admit that we basically agree on the concept that we ought to look at evidence carefully and determine real causality before we jump to such suggestions as “instituting pharma control”, particularly since really looking at a list of 40 or so “horrible things” that supposedly occurred BECAUSE of the drugs these folks were taking might prove nothing more than that the drugs SIMPLY DID NOT WORK for these folks and the underlying mental illness for which they took the drugs simply overwhelmed them..

And how come you didn’t bite harder on the tire thing? FYI, the drivers in all the cases were quite drunk, over 90 years old, had poor vision, had stolen the vehicles, and were evading police pursuit when they crashed at a high rate of speed into some immovable object. In fact, several had NO tires at all, because they had run over spike strips during the pursuit and the tires were gone—they were riding on the rims. But somebody with an ax to grind will sure blame it on those “frenchy” tires.

      • spaman

I’m with Jay on this one – simply because he did get the logic right….. You don’t go blaming the car driven in a hit & run – you blame the driver… likewise you don’t blame the weapon used in a massacre, you blame the individual who used it …. but then, you start looking for the root cause of why that individual behaved that way….. and any honest evaluation has to include the fact that the incidents only happened after these kids took drugs.

Let me make it clear, I know its a hard one to grasp:

Before the incidents the kids may have had problems, but they didn’t kill anyone until the filthy psych drugs were in their systems and had messed with their minds.

        It’s called cause and effect!

TBH it just shows what a lousy president Obarmy is to attack the wrong target in the way he is… which means his agenda is nothing to do with truth and doing the best for America, its about imposing his own warped ideas on an already troubled nation.

      • Right Brain Thinker

And spaman arrives on the scene to prove my point about the paucity of logic on this site and how it is so easy to mislead folks on PLD because they are motivated reasoners.

Follow spaman’s “logic” as he convinces himself that he is “with Jay on this one – simply because he did get the logic right….. You don’t go blaming the car driven in a hit & run – you blame the driver… likewise you don’t blame the weapon used in a massacre, you blame the individual who used it …. but then, you start looking for the root cause of why that individual behaved that way….. and any honest evaluation has to include the fact that the incidents only happened after these kids took drugs”

True enough to a point, spaman, but remember you’re “following Jay’s LOGIC”, so you are just as WRONG as he is when you stick that ONLY in your last sentence, with all that it implies.

To put all this “horribleness” in perspective (and that’s not to diminish the fact that it all IS horrible), Jay’s list contains some 75 or so deaths, 50 or so woundings, and a dozen suicides. And not all are related to guns. Just to talk about guns, there are around 30,000 gun deaths a year in this country, and nearly 20,000 of those are suicides, not “massacres” or even homicides of any sort. So this list contains less than 1/4 of 1% of the gun deaths in a single year and the list actually goes back 13 years to Columbine and maybe beyond—-might be .00015.of the cases in that time period. Pretty small number to be making such sweeping generalizations on.

Let me make it clear, I know its a hard one to grasp, but you have allowed Jay to lead you by the nose here. You show the classic symptoms of motivated reasoning when you talk yourself into believing: “but they didn’t kill anyone until the filthy psych drugs were in their systems and had messed with their minds”.

It’s not called cause and effect, spaman, it’s called motivated reasoning—-believing something because you WANT to believe it and don’t care how illogical you have to be to “make it come out your way”.

I guess you’re also speaking to me when you address “TBH” (whatever that means) and say, “it just shows what a lousy president Obarmy is to attack the wrong target in the way he is… which means his agenda is nothing to do with truth and doing the best for America, its about imposing his own warped ideas on an already troubled nation”.

The next leap in the warped thinking of a motivated reasoner is to say to himself, “Let’s see, I’ve twisted facts and logic all out of shape to fit what I WANT to believe here—-what other misguided belief can I tack on to “prove” that I’m a thinker?”. And you proceed to prove that point by mindlessly attacking O’Bama with meaningless gibberish that clearly shows no understanding of O’Bama’s positions on gun control.

Lord love a duck, Spaman! TRY to THINK rather than parrot stupidity!

        • spaman

Love a duck right brain – rather than attacking me, try and actually respond to the arguments!

You make some amazing assumptions, but that’s a trait of those that lean the obarmy way…. and all wrong.

I agree with Jay because he’s right…. and I appreciate that he can back up what he is saying… I’m with him because his views mirror mine, views I’ve held for a very long time…

As for obarmy – if it isn’t clear, let’s spell it out – Obarmy is taking advantage of the situation, for his own political ends… it’s another stick to beat the right with – it serves his purpose to be seen to be doing “something” when in fact he is not even close to curing anything or getting to the root cause of the issue….

A socialist thinker will always stand out in the crowd – its not just that the logic is twisted, nor even that they lie and warp the facts…. its more that their grey cells are lacking the capacity to follow an issue all the way to a real conclusion …they stop half way and get distracted by some other flawed ideal thats been lurking in their brains…. they are hard wired that way…they are just incapable of resolving problems….one example being the cliff edge….Where you get socialism/liberalism you get depravation and social decay.

Just look around and see….and try not to engage those hard wired inclinations to imagine everything is rosey.

RBT, i copied and pasted your entire comment in the post-comment window for the purpose to dissect and provide rebuttal at appropriate designations, but hit the post-comment by accident before i could proceed. No matter…rather then the laborious task of navigating through the labyrinth of your rebuttal, in its stead, a further expose, or a less ambiguous-indictment against an industry that is often overlooked, unscrupulously-defended, and generally regarded as the saviour and messiah for all that ails man-kind; the pharmaceutical-industry-complex!

Most, seem blissfully unaware of the ongoing lawsuits against the pharmaceutical industrial complex in in American courts.

Most notable cases and fines administered:

        1) Merck’s Gardasil vaccine for HPV, now being widely administered to pre-teens, was found to be linked to amyltrophic lateral sclerosis, commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.

        2) $1.4 billion fine in promoting one of its blockbuster drugs Zyprexa off-label, deceptive correspondence was uncovered by Eli Lilly gaming the system again by promoting another one of its drugs, Cymbalta, off-label for fibromyalgia.

        3) AstraZeneca was fined $160 million for scamming the Medicaid system in Kentucky after being fined $215 million for ripping off Alabama.

        4) Glaxo lost a Pennsylvania trial for failing to warn doctors and pregnant women of the dangers of its antidepressant drug Paxil related to birth defects; and Pfizer scored a record-breaking fine of $2.3 billion for illegally marketing several drugs over the years: Bextra, Zyvox, Geodon and Lyrica.

These kinds of charges, among the many others, have become a habit for drug makers for the past dozen years.

When we speak of the pharmaceutical industry complex, it does not refer solely to private drug manufacturers. The complex, like a Matrix that holds captive the health of the nation in medical slavery by its own design and manipulation, is a consortium, a spiders’ web woven with financial attachments throughout the medical profession. In addition to the pharmaceutical and medical device firms, this complex includes every government health agency:

        Food and Drug Administration (FDA)

        Centers for Disease Control (CDC)

        National Institutes of Health (NIH)

Department of Health and Human Services (HHS)

as well as, drug lobbying firms now employing a large number of former Congress-persons, insurance and HMO companies, all of the leading professional medical associations such as:

        American Medical Association (AMA)

        American Psychiatric Association (APA)

the majority of medical schools and their research departments who are heavily funded by drug money, many of the most prestigious medical journals, and ultimately all of this filtering downward to the physicians who diagnose our illnesses and prescribe our medications and treatments.

The country is pacified by a blind belief that the drugs being prescribed to them have been proven safe because our government health agencies have our physical health and well-being in their best intentions. This is a lie, an extraordinarily deadly lie. IATROGENESIS, medically induced injury and death, IS THE NUMBER ONE CAUSE OF DEATH IN AMERICAN MEDICINE ANNUALLY, since only a small percentage of these deaths are actually reported. Each year more Americans die from preventable deaths due to our medical system than all military causalities in the two world wars combined. This is tantamount to medical genocide. One of the major causes of these deaths is the overmedication of Americans in all ages. The constant need for PROFITS HAS created an environment that allows the pharmaceutical industrial complex to use their enormous financial and political clout to literally make normal life experiences into new diseases, such as SOCIAL ANXIETY DISORDER, in order to sell its drugs. The pharmaceutical industry has been given the authority to PATHOLOGIZE LIFE, with the drugging of our children, seniors, etc.

For example, the leading cause of AIDS deaths today is a result of liver failure. This is not a condition of HIV infection, but a direct result of the anti-HIV drug AZT. Is it little wonder then, that we are being intimidated and frightened into believing that mandatory vaccination is being touted even though the science of efficacy and safety, even the need, for these new swine flu vaccines is patently UNPROVEN. It is perhaps one of the largest falsehoods ever perpetuated on humanity that dwarfs the sleaze on Wall Street.

If any one of us committed manslaughter, we would be behind bars instead of walking a crimson carpet into the offices of our elected officials in the Congress and Senate or past the gates guarded by the nation’s Cerberus, Rahm Emmanuel, to lobby the White House. Yet, if we are a pharmaceutical executive, or a lobbyist representing a drug company who has collected a litany of charges including medical fraud, criminal salesmanship, gaming the insurance industries, repeated lying to federal officials, and manipulation of data regarding life-threatening adverse effects of drugs that have killed so many people, we can walk away with a fine, a surge in the stock market after a settlement, a financial bonus, and the personal satisfaction in not having to apologize so we can continue business as usual. This is the power the pharmaceutical industrial complex possesses and its usurped right to distain every noble principle in the Hippocratic Oath that every physician dedicates her or himself to live by:
“THAT I WILL EXERCISE MY ART SOLELY FOR THE CURE OF MY PATIENTS, AND WILL GIVE NO DRUG AND PERFORM NO OPERATION FOR A CRIMINAL PURPOSE.”

Every American who is prescribed a drug by a physician has the belief that that pill has undergone rigorous trials to scrutinize its safety. And when there are known potential adverse effects, we blindly assume these are known to the attending physician. However, this is a myth perpetuated not only by drug makers, but by our own federal health agencies. A 2003 investigation published in The Independent in the UK reported that “under pressure from the pharmaceutical industry, the FDA routinely conceals information it considers commercially sensitive, leaving medical specialists unable to assess the true risks [of approved drugs].” One case involved a very popular over-the-counter drug, the painkiller ibuprofen. The investigators’ search uncovered concealed data showing that ibuprofen increased heart attack risks by 25 percent. Even Freedom of Information (FOI) filings to the FDA do not produce all the information being requested. For example, a group of Swiss investigators filed an FOI to procure trial data about the musculoskeletal pain drug Celecoxib and received back only 16 of the 27 trials conducted on it. A separate FOI concerning a similar drug, Valdecoxib, had pages and paragraphs deleted because sections of the document were marked as “trade secrets.” An even worse case involving a leaked report concerning internal memos and secret FDA reports provided detailed evidence that the FDA approved 9 different antidepressants, representing a total of 22 studies enrolling 4,250 children, WHILE KNOWING FULL WELL THAT THE RISK OF “SUICIDE-RELATED EVENTS” WAS TWICE AS HIGH AS CHILDREN TAKING A PLACEBO. These are just several examples among numerous others.

The pharmaceutical industrial complex is perhaps the largest, most influential cartel in the world. This becomes evident after considering the BILLIONS of dollars and other currencies drug companies have been forced to pay for a wide variety of corruption charges. Analysis of 724 legal settlements from a random sampling among the over one hundred thousand by pharmaceutical corporations totally $87 BILLION is just a small indication about how pervasive Big Pharma’s criminality SINCE THE VAST MAJORITY OF SETTLEMENTS ARE CONCLUDED OUTSIDE OF COURT and remain confidential.

        You want more, RBT?

The pharmaceutical complex has also infiltrated the majority of American medical schools and medical research departments. A recent survey in the Journal of the American Medical Association discovered that 60% of academic department chairs have personal ties to industry (as consultants, board members, or paid speakers), while 66% of the academic departments had institutional ties to industry. Researchers who receive funding from drug and medical-device manufacturers are up to 3.5 times as likely to state their study drug or medical device works than are researchers without such funding.

In America, one can hardly turn on the television or pick up a newspaper without reading about the hot button issue of health care reform. Why such emotion? Why are, seemingly, rational people so intransigent and unwilling to budge from their positions? Could lobbyists have anything to do with this?

According to OpenSecrets.org, there are 3093 lobbyists in the health field and Big Pharma now spends approximately $1.2 million daily to persuade Congress to act according to their script. An investigation conducted by Medical Verdicts & Law Weekly found that 30 key lawmakers are involved in health legislation totaling $11 million in health investments. Three of every four major health firms have at least one lobbyist who worked for a congressman. Startlingly, nine lobbyists employed by Big Pharma are former congressional staffers who are still well-connected to Capitol Hill. The conflicts of interest are everywhere. Judd Gregg (R-NH), the Obama nominee for Commerce Secretary, who withdrew because of opposition to the Administration’s agenda, is a senior member of the Health Committee. He revealed that he has $254,000-$560,000 in health stocks.”

In 2000, Mylan Labs settled a case for $100 million. What the numbers don’t tell you is the story behind the numbers. In 1998, Mylan raised the wholesale price of clorazepate, a generic tranquilizer, to $377.00 (for 500 tablets) from $11.36 in one year. This represents a 3000% increase on a generic drug.

It was subsequently revealed that Mylan conspired with the main manufacturer of the active, indispensible ingredient to have an exclusive agreement. The agreement prevented any other manufacturers from producing the drug, for without the active ingredient, the drug could not be made. Mylan’s deception was uncovered and it had to pay $100 million to settle an FTC antitrust case. But Mylan represents only an infinitesimal percentage of such examples. In all likelihood, the vast majority of similar cases remain undetected. The FDA’s under-regulation and erroneous oversight encourages this type of corruption.

Another case included in our study states, “TAP [Taketa-Abbott Pharmaceutical] Pharmaceutical Products Inc. — $875,000,000 under the False Claims Act.” TAP agreed to pay $875 million to resolve criminal charges and civil liabilities in connection with its fraudulent drug pricing and marketing conduct regarding the drug Lupron, according to a press release from the Department of Justice. Lupron is used by male cancer patients to suppress the production of testosterone. Another drug worked as well, so to make Lupron the drug of choice for this condition, TAP played dirty by giving kickbacks to physicians prescribing the drug, thus ensuring its ridiculously high price would be maintained. Even though criminal indictments were filed against TAP Pharmaceutical officials, Lupron’s price remains overly inflated.

Ever wonder why Big Pharma would engage in all manner of illegal activity? In light of the steady stream of articles detailing how the elderly are oftentimes forced to choose between purchasing their medication and buying food, a good place to begin is to examine what it costs to make a drug and what Big Pharma sells it for. Life Extension magazine conducted an original investigative report in which it compared the actual price of a popular drug and how much the generic version of its active ingredients costs. In order to understand how we can spend 2.6 trillion this year on healthcare, but not reduce the incidence of cancer, heart disease, diabetes, obesity, mental conditions, arthritis, etc., we must realize this is a game. With each piece of the puzzle, feeding into a single picture of a massively corrupt, unethical, and frequently illegal system controlled by relatively few corporations within the pharmaceutical complex and the health insurance industry, are the ring leaders. They in turn influence thousands of lobbyists, paid-off scientists and academicians, and policymakers, especially those who rule on important health oversight committees. Health officials and legislators in turn solicit expert witnesses, preselected by the cartels, to position their drug agendas in the most favorable manner.

The pharmaceutical cartel also has direct connections with its supporting scientific advisory boards and key foundations. These foundations, supported by policy think tanks who supply the so-called independent experts, then lobby the upper echelon within the FDA, NIH, CDC, NIMH, HHS. Ideally they hire former health commissioners and legislators previously players in the game to assist those same federal agencies to see their drugs guided through the regulatory process. Public relations and advertizing firms are contracted to give the public impression that these drugs are effective and safe for the sole reason they have received official licensing. In addition, the cartel creates front organizations with consumer-friendly titles whose representatives appear at national conferences and seminars beholden to special drug interests. Finally, the drug corporations set money aside to be paid out in settlements. With the exception of class action suits, the majority of cases for injury and death are accompanied by confidentiality clauses to prevent public disclosure of data the companies wish to remain secret.

This is how the medical system is rigged and it is why we can watch 60 Minutes or read the New York Times serving as pharmaceutical shills to encourage vaccination, yet refusing to air or print the dissenting voices who have the scientific evidence to show it is a massive fraud. Therefore, the public is misled every step of the way. Victims of injury, such as the tens of thousands of children, now at 1 in 91 children, with autism spectrum disorder, are forced to fend for themselves. Parents know far better than the FDA and CDC, when their perfectly normal child after a vaccination or a series of vaccines shortly thereafter is lost, withdrawn into the dark corners of autism. And yet the pediatrician and psychologist will say the child must have had a genetic defect. The CDC, FDA and NIH, with an orchestrated voice, say it is not the vaccine. Everyone within the pharmaceutical industrial complex denies the truth. Only now, during the healthcare debate, are we seeing clearly the rampant politics of the pharmaceutical and insurance industries. The veils are finally being removed. If it were not for the healthcare debacle, we might still not know how the game is rigged and why our politicians and health officials will not tolerate any real reform and accountability at any level.

If we want to clean up American medicine, the corporate shield must be removed and politicians, health officials and pharmaceutical executives must be held accountable. If they are threatened with jail time for manslaughter by pushing dangerous drugs, then we will see less life-threatening drugs go to market.

We are in a perfect storm without a life raft. We much take back our freedoms of choice and demand legal accountability or nothing will change.

Sure he was on them and the Obama Administration approved them by his appointees! Remember he has been in office for his first! I know about the drugs as a relative has been on some. Bi-polar and really worse. If you have a family member that is not been on these drugs for many months, there is a drug free alternative! All natural and this is not an ad!

What is in question is what you want! Do you want real? If you are radical Liberal, then you care less for them! It is more important to support misconceptions! We had school shootings because of foolish Liberal ideas! I saw a Nation that had honor because we want our children to have honor. But the Liberal media desires support and 10k more than honesty! While many look at the homes that honest Americans have earned by long hours of sweat, the Liberals are on the other side. They attack Americans and say you did not earn it and you have NO right to have it! The idiots in the Liberal Media say the same? Obviously it is an attack on our freedoms and you need to shove that into your Senators face,… too the MAX

did kicking God out of the class room help or hurt the level of violence in the schools?
Are our kids better off without God in school?
We can not even have a discussion of evil without the atheists (small a) getting their panties in a knot.
It is evil that is among us, blame evil for these problems. Don’t pretend there is no such thing as evil, pull your head back out of the sand. Who is for evil things and who is for good things? Time to be counted. What side are you on? are you a weed or a head of grain? Gather first the weeds and throw them in to the fire then gather the heads of wheat for harvest.
It does not say that tin foil hats are the basis for dividing evil from good.

Here goes Rob again with another personal attack on anything Christian or not left of center. Though in 1973-1974 the APA did stop classifying queers as being mentally ill, but it was due to the fact that their perversion was brought about by something that couldn’t be controlled with perscriptions. Drugs does not take satan out of one’s heart. it takes God and Jesus. Need to be more factual in your postings Rob. A major fault with the medical industry generally is that everything that can be considered a “disease” must and can be force fit into one named condition or another. Asperger’s disease? Bill Clinton is documented to suffer from Asperger’s syndrome. It’s a condition which “explains” a person going to extremes in their actions. People act differently under different circumstances – Asperger’s Ifear is one more method of telling society that everything is normal, it’s not your fault. The individual is responsible for nothing. Personally, I disagree.

One thing you can be certain of: A person killed those children, not an inanimate object. The question IS: why are children being taught by society (the administration and the entertainment industry) to resolve conflict by killing?

    • John

Aspergers and guns are not the problem. It is the drugs they are putting these kids on that are the root cause. Pschiatrists and psychologists are the problem!

That’s an incredible list of attrocities that can be attributed to psych drugs… Yes, we badly need some real controls on what so many call simply medicines – they aren’t, its a wrong definition, medicines are supposed to help you…. not mess with your mind.

Despite the evidence, very few with a voice will spot the significance here, or even glimpse the truth… they will just go on blaming the wrong target.

Excellent arguments. But let’s not forget for one moment that the shooting in Aurora not only had a mental illness angle but was evidently staged. There are SO MANY loose ends in Aurora that anyone serious about revealing a conspiracy has a choice of which glaring inconsistency to highlight. We should not let the horror of Newtown allow us to forget that. I for one would like to know why the police chief of Aurora, CO neglected to have the usual police guards on duty for this showing, which was bound to be busy. The lack of armed security seems key to the entire massacre. Is it a coincidence that he used to work for Bernard Kerik, who of course reported directly to Mike Bloomberg??? I smell a rat- actually a big bunch of rats. The murdered at Aurora, including infants, if I recall correctly, deserve justice just as much as the victims of Newtown. And the only way to gaurantee justice in these cases is to depose every one with SODIUM PENTATHOL. In my opinion, by questioning all the people involved and inquiring about co-conspirators and higher-ups, who are then deposed with sodium pentathol in turn and asked the same, the resulting group of conspirators to commit mass murder will be a who’s who of the NWO and PTB- and if they are guilty they should all spend the rest of their lives in prison and forfeit their entire estates.
Hey, Law Enforcement!! Worried about your pensions? The resulting civil forfeiture from this case could end up in the tens if not hundreds of billions!! Have at, lads and lasses! Justice for Aurora!! Justice for Newtown!! Protect the Constitution and save America!! An end to conspiracies!! An end to the NWO!! And enough civil forfeiture to put every police and fire department in the black and assure their pensions!!! And with SODIUM PENTATHOL it’s as easy as 1-2-3!! God/The Creator loves the truth!! All lies come from Satan!! SODIUM PENTATHOL!!!

Might ask WHY these kids were on these drugs and out where they had to interact with the public. Many of these medications are known to have serious side effects, but they also address problems that would otherwise be insoluble. Kids in particular should be started on these medications in a controlled environment, yet there are terribly few places where that CAN happen. Might want to go back and ask Mr. Reagan why there are no publicly supported mental hospitals, which is where many of these problem children should have been BEFORE they became problems.

Wasn’t Reagan the one who lost his mind?

Now there is an authority we can trust for telling the medical community how to run their business.

I see the statement by these doctors as their way of covering their own assas when something like this happens. The fact is everyone that has discussed his behavour from a first hand view described a young man that lived a horribly lonely life and it doesn’t matter what he suffered from, that kind of pain can cause a person to do something he would never think of doing other wise. A person can only take so much and then they snap. Even totally “normal” people will snap and do something horrible, but Adam had been identified as someone that did not have a good grasp on reality and never should have had access to either guns or video games or movies that would cause him to be able to go where it did when he did snap. Those mistakes will happen again until laws dealing with mental illness are changed and parents are given BACK their rights to take care of those adult kids. Doctors do not always know what is best.

  • AWKingsley

It is time we quit paying Psychiatrists huge salaries for inadequate patient maintenance with absolutely no cures for chronic mental illness. Chronic mental illness has a disease pathology that does not just reside in or originate in the head. The pathology of the disease affects the brain through chemical imbalances. While prayer can be used for cure of psychopathic or sociopathic tendencies where no disease pathology is present, it would be very difficult to cure mental illness only with prayer or counseling where pathological disease is present. Allopathic Medicine has no cure for mental or any other chronic disease. That is the problem. Ancient Natural and Alternative Medicine had cures for chronic disease; however, treatment of chronic disease starts with expert diagnosis and ability to evaluate treatments. Allopathic Physicians have no diagnostic techniques, relying exclusively on limited laboratory tests and only on patient statements for psychiatric diagnosis. Pretending to handle the problem of mental illness is not going to get the job done no matter how much more money is put into the mental health system. Nothing will be done to change the outcome for those suffering from mental illness or destruction of their victims because Psychiatrists do not have the skills to solve the problem. When an Allopathic Physician is presented with a cure for chronic disease, one receives a blank stare. These physicians take their orders from the pharmaceutical companies. In order to solve our societal problem, the solution below needs to be implemented to end chronic disease not only for sufferers of mental disorders and their victimization of others, but for all chronic disorders.
Natural and Alternative Medicine uses 3 diagnostic techniques very successfully: Those techniques are Iridology, Kinesiology (Saliva DNA Testing), and either Expert Oriental or Ayurvedic Pulse Diagnosis. Iridology is accomplished via a camera linked to a computer. Kinesiology (Saliva DNA Testing) can even be done from a distance by mailing DNA swabbed cotton balls to a physician experienced in the art. Expert Pulse Diagnosis can either be Oriental or Indian Ayurvedic. Expert Pulse Diagnosis takes the most time to learn, but is absolutely necessary for any physician who wants to diagnose chronic disease or assess a patient’s status and the efficacy of treatments. A combination of these diagnostic techniques gives cross-verification to the physician. And, the first 2, Iridology and Kinesiology (Saliva DNA Testing), will aid the physician’s diagnosis, until he is expert in Oriental Pulse Diagnosis. (Distance pulse diagnosis can be accomplished via a lock of hair by keying in on [DNA], just as can be done in Kinesiology Saliva Testing with a swabbed cotton ball.) Allopathic Physicians face severe incompetence in every area besides the Operating Room and treatment of infection, demonstrating a Dark Age lack of knowledge. Many people believe this ineptitude is due to a stranglehold on Allopathic Medicine by the pharmaceutical industry, but this problem is also due to ingrained arrogance and incompetence on the part of Allopathic Psychiatrists. The State of Texas refusal to accept a mental health diagnosis from anyone other than an Allopathic Psychiatrist bears witness to entrenched ignorance on the part of state regulators regarding the competence of psychiatrists.
Federal Government involvement in Medicine and Medical R & D is also a major factor in the lack of cures for chronic disease. There is too much money available from the Federal Government, so the status quo is reinforced instead of competent cost-effective treatment developing to meet medical needs. Necessity is the mother of invention only when the Federal Government isn’t in the driver’s seat handing out the dough. First, Allopathic Physicians need to learn Natural and Alternative Medical diagnostic techniques then all of the old ancient medical formulas and techniques need to be researched. It is impossible to research efficacy of treatments without expert diagnostic techniques for value assessment on patients. I use an almost completely unknown acupuncture protocol (self-administered much like a diabetic gives himself insulin injections) that treats many chronic diseases, as well as other little known medical knowledge for the majority of my health care needs. I use this protocol now only for health maintenance. Friends are now asking me to share my medical knowledge because there is no treatment available for chronic disease. Chronic disease treatment is “Do it yourself healthcare, or do without because Allopathic Medicine provides absolutely “NO” cures.”
The major solution to high health care costs and successful treatment of mental disorders is for states to mandate medical schools to teach expert diagnostic techniques to first year medical students. If students are lacking in proficiency in expert diagnostic techniques at the end of the first year of medical school, they need to be washed out of the program. We can eliminate the majority of the expense and failure in our medical system by insisting our states get tough on the way physicians are trained.
Congress and State Legislatures can get Dr. Vassant Lad of Albuquerque, NM and, or other pulse diagnosticians to give demonstrations in Washington and the various state legislatures by diagnosing Congressmen while they are sitting in their seats in Congress. Dr. Lad or other expert pulse diagnosticians could rapidly perform a blind study for a state legislature on an acupuncture treatment protocol that I have in my possession that cures chronic mental disease as well as other chronic diseases. All that would be required is for Dr. Lad to take the pulse of patients before and after the acupuncture treatment to prove that a profound change occurs when the treatment is performed. This acupuncture protocol can be acquired by contacting me: anncgm1@gmail.com
House members can send a saliva sample to Healthy Bodies in Wills Point, TX to be diagnosed and receive treatment, in order to test the efficacy of this diagnostic method. Congress or a state legislature can invite an iridologist into the state legislature to diagnose everyone sitting in a House seat. Since these diagnostic methods can be demonstrated, our Allopathic Medical Establishment can make no excuses for current inept and expensive medical diagnosis and thoroughly inadequate palliative care.
Psychiatry has not progressed beyond its infancy, and it will only progress when the public insists on competent diagnostic techniques. We have the ability to make our state and federal governments give us better health care, so let’s do it. There is no excuse for mass murders. Even with extensive training time for physicians and long times for treatment, our society could be well on its way to freedom from chronic disease within 15 years, if we insist on implementation of expert pulse diagnosis. Without expert pulse diagnosis, no Allopathic Physician will implement any of the Natural or Alternative treatments that surface because he has no ability to easily discern the value. That means we are stuck, until we change the system.

When we took the Bible and Prayer out of schools, there was no teaching of right or wrong and the families failed to pick it up. Our nation has denied God as our Lord and rejected Jesus Christ His Son, so what do you expect.

    • http://tlgeer.wordpress.com tlgeer

This is nonsense. It was never the job of our schools to teach about God and prayers. It has always been the parents job, not the schools. It has always been the parents job to choose the church’s, and beliefs, that they wish to impart to their children.

Saying that “it’s not our problem, it’s yours” is simply a cop-out and nothing more.

      • sam1966

Wrong, wrong, wrong tigeer. It was passed as a federal law that religion and the Bible be taught in our schools.

“Religion, morality, and knowledge, being necessary to good government and the benefit of mankind, schools and the means of education shall forever be encouraged.”

        The Northwest Ordinance
        April 07, 1789
        Article 3

What about this ruling from the SCOTUS:

“Why may not the Bible, and especially the New Testiment, without note or comment, be read and taught as a divine revelation in schools. It’s general precepts expounded, it’s evidences explained and it’s glorious principles of morality inculcated? Where can the purest principles of morality be learned so clearly or so perfectly as from the New Testiment?”

        Vidal vs. Girard’s Executors, 1844
Unanimous decision commending and encouraging the use of the Bible in government-run schools.

Looks like your are wrong again tlgeer. But alas! The 5th column never learns. FOR GOD AND COUNTRY! 하나님하고 나라를 위해서!

You need both love of country and faith in God to be a patriot.

“Before any man can be considered as a member of civil society, he must be considered as a subject of the Governor of the Universe (GOD).”

        James Madison

Seems to me that all have forgotten that seeking blame is always the answer, but in reality it is clear that we do not even understand how the brain functions and are distinctly unaware of who lives next door. There are nutcases all over the world, not just in America and that is simply a hazard of living. If we were able to identify killers and murderers before they committed their heinous acts, life would be simple indeed, since we would be rid of all cretins including the ones who run our lives for us, whom in most cases should be evaluated for sanity as well.

    • spaman

      Good point Peter ……

      The problem is twofold though:

      1. With so many on psych drugs, the problems we are seeing are only going to get worse, but because it is so accepted by “everyone” that psych drugs help people rather than actually creating the problem, then we will not see a solution, and things will get worse.

      2. Most psychiatrists already have a screw or two lose, and only joined the profession to treat their own disorders, so expecting psychiatrists to be able to evaluate people with any degree of reality is like asking Obarmy to explain his policies – You wont get any logical explanation but plenty of soundbites.

The way forward is to stop drugging people, and to give Americans something to be proud of in their country – give them a purpose to be happy about…. Right now everyone is so depressed about the mess all politicians have made, of everything, they simply have no hope for s decent future….. which starts the ball rolling with the use of anti-depressants etc etc and more psych drugs.

The main principles governing the pharmaceutical “business with disease.” It is not in the financial interests of the pharmaceutical industry to prevent common diseases – the maintenance and expansion of diseases is a precondition for the financial growth of this industry.

    1. The pharmaceutical industry is an investment industry driven by the profits of its shareholders. Improving human health is not the driving force of this industry.

    2. The pharmaceutical investment industry was artificially created and strategically developed over an entire century by the same investment groups that control the global petrochemical and chemical industries.

    3. The huge profits of the pharmaceutical industry are based on the patenting of new drugs. These patents essentially allow drug manufacturers to arbitrarily define the profits for their products.

    4. The marketplace for the pharmaceutical industry is the human body – but only for as long as the body hosts diseases. Thus, maintaining and expanding diseases is a precondition for the growth of the pharmaceutical industry.

    5. A key strategy to accomplish this goal is the development of drugs that merely mask symptoms while avoiding the curing or elimination of diseases. This explains why most prescription drugs marketed today have no proven efficacy and merely target symptoms.

    6. To further expand their pharmaceutical market, the drug companies are continuously looking for new applications (indications) for the use of drugs they already market. For example, Bayer’s pain pill Aspirin is now taken by 50 million healthy US citizens under the illusion it will prevent heart attacks.

    7. Another key strategy to expand pharmaceutical markets is to cause new diseases with drugs. While merely masking symptoms short term, most of the prescription drugs taken by millions of patients today cause a multitude of new diseases as a result of their known long-term side effects. For example, all cholesterol-lowering drugs currently on the market are known to increase the risk of developing cancer – but only after the patient has been taking the drug for several years.

    8. The known deadly side effects of prescription drugs are the fourth leading cause of death in the industrialized world, surpassed only by the number of deaths from heart attacks, cancer and strokes (Journal of the American Medical Association, April 15, 1998). This fact is no surprise either, because drug patents are primarily issued for new synthetic molecules. All synthetic molecules need to be detoxified and eliminated from the body, a system that frequently fails and results in an epidemic of severe and deadly side effects.

    9. While the promotion and expansion of diseases increase the market of the pharmaceutical investment industry – prevention and root cause treatment of diseases decrease long-term profitability; therefore, they are avoided or even obstructed by this industry.

    10. Worst of all, the eradication of diseases is by its very nature incompatible with and diametrically opposed to the interests of the pharmaceutical investment industry. The eradication of diseases now considered as potential drug markets will destroy billions of investment dollars and eventually will eliminate this entire industry.

    11. Vitamins and other effective natural health therapies that optimize cellular metabolism threaten the pharmaceutical “business with disease” because they target the cellular cause of today’s most common diseases – and these natural substances cannot be patented.

    12. Throughout the more than one hundred year existence of the pharmaceutical industry, vitamins and other essential nutrients, with defined functions as cofactors in cellular metabolism, have been the fiercest competition and the greatest threat to the long-term success of the pharmaceutical investment business.

    13. Vitamins and other effective natural health therapies that effectively prevent diseases are incompatible with the very nature of the pharmaceutical “business with disease.”

    14. To protect the strategic development of its investment business against the threat from effective, natural and non-patentable therapies, the pharmaceutical industry has – over an entire century – used the most unscrupulous methods, such as:

    (1) Withholding life-saving health information from millions of people. It is simply unacceptable that today so few know that the human body cannot produce vitamin C and lysine, two key molecules for connective tissue stability and disease prevention.

    (2) Discrediting natural health therapies. The most common way is through global PR campaigns organized by the Pharma-Cartel that spread lies about the alleged side effects of natural substances – molecules that have been used by Nature for millennia.

    (3) Banning by law the dissemination of information about natural health therapies. To that end, the pharmaceutical industry has placed its lobbyists in key political positions in key markets and leading drug export nations.

    15. The pharmaceutical “business with disease” is the largest deception and fraud business in human history. The product “health” promised by drug companies is not delivered to millions of patients. Instead, the “products” most often delivered are the opposite: new diseases and frequently, death.

    16. The survival of the pharmaceutical industry is dependent on the elimination by any means of effective natural health therapies.

These natural and non-patentable therapies have become the treatment of choice for millions of people despite the combined economic, political and media opposition of the world’s largest investment industry.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the California Association of Physicians and Surgeons, and even the Center for Diseases Control’s own admission, well over 100,000 people in this country die each year from “properly” administered prescription drugs. This is absolutely shocking!

One study has shown that more than two million American hospitalized patients suffered a serious adverse drug reaction (ADR) within a 12-month period and of these, over 100,000 died as a result. Likewise, roughly 36,000,000 adverse drug reactions are reported annually, resulting in more than 33.6-million admissions or hospitalizations all from drugs that the FDA has pronounced “safe effective.”

The media is not doing a very good job of reporting this ADR crisis. Instead, we hear the constant media drumbeat about the dangers of firearms, which are currently politically incorrect yet represent a minuscule fraction of the deaths in this country. Doctors who want to politicize gun deaths should clean up their own glass houses first. The real crisis is the failing health care or more accurately described as the sick care system. There are numerous reasons for this crisis.

One reason is that conflicts of interest represent a very real problem for public servants and those entities which have relationships with various government agencies. Numerous researchers have reported that the FDA receives money from the very entities it is suppose to be regulating and one consequence of this is the suppression rather than advancement of disease cures. Consider the following:

“According to a USA Today study, more than half of the experts hired to advise the government on the safety and effectiveness of medicine have financial relationships with the pharmaceutical companies that will be helped or hurt by their decisions. These experts are hired to advise the Food and Drug Administration on which medicines should be approved for sale, what the warning labels should say and how studies of drugs should be designed. The experts are supposed to be independent, but USA TODAY found that 54% of the time, they have a direct financial interest in the drug or topic they are asked to evaluate. These conflicts include helping a pharmaceutical company develop a medicine, then serving on an FDA advisory committee that judges the drug.

    The Nuremberg Tribunal

Sixty years ago, the pharmaceutical industry was found guilty of mass murder during World War II – a war in which sixty million people lost their lives.

The Tribunal consisted of a series of 13 trials, the most important of which was the case against the oil and drug cartel, IG Farben. The executives of this cartel, according to the chief US prosecutor, Telford Taylor, were the main war criminals – without whom WWII would not have been possible.

After 60 years of silence, our online academy has opened up the records of the Nuremberg War Tribunals against IG Farben (the largest chemical/ pharmaceutical multinational at that time) to public inspection.

You’re welcome, spaman! All i ask is that you share…i have more, much more evidence that exposes the “manufacturers of disease(s) for profit…and now, they look to our children, to further expand their operations and increase profits, and they consider our children to be a “gold-mine”. I tried posting some links regarding how Big-Pharma has, and will continue to profit by inventing mental-diseases in our children, but was un-succesfull. I will re-try at a later time…? Cheers!
