Are conservatives falling out of love with Sarah Palin?

August 21, 2009 by

Are conservatives falling out of love with Sarah Palin?Public opinion polls have suggested Sarah Palin’s popularity appears to be declining.

According to a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey, a total of 39 percent of respondents have a favorable view of the former Alaska governor and John McCain’s vice presidential running mate from 2008.

That represents a seven-point decline from the May poll figures.

Meanwhile, the number of those who view her negatively has risen to 48 percent, from 43 percent in May.

Palin has become a vocal critic of the administration’s healthcare reform proposals. She ignited controversy by suggesting Obama’s plans included setting up "death panels" which would allegedly decide who qualified for health coverage and who did not, something she said would mean her son Trig who has Down syndrome would be denied care.

These allegations have been widely denied by Democrats.

Palin surprised many by resigning last month as Alaska’s governor, a year and a half before the end of her first term in office. She cited personal reasons, including what she saw as the media’s attack on her family, for the decision. Since then rumors have been circulating that she is preparing to relaunch her political career on the national stage.

However, "a 39 percent favorable rating makes it that much tougher for Palin to become president should she decide to run in 2012," says CNN polling director Keating Holland, quoted by the news provider’s website.

Why would you pay attention to a CNN poll?

    • Jeanine

Exactly what I was going to say. They only report what they make up.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

CNN – arent they owned by the democratic left, along with ABC, NBC, CBS, and MSNBC? I dont believe 90 percent of the things I see on these channels, as they are just a propaganda outlet for the democrats. While these stations continually beat the crap out of Sarah Palin and her family, the uneducated that watch their crap, surely will develop animosity towards her and think unfavorably of her. Then they do another poll on these brain dead people that watch the propaganda they put out. You know what, I could do a poll, if I went to the right people, and show that smoking crack cocaine is good for your health. Now we all know it really isnt, but I could go out amongst 10,000 people nationwide, and by golly if I want the poll to say its good, Ill find the people to make it come out that way, no problem. Thats pretty much what these pollsters do. Shame on this thread for even giving credibility to these left wing liberal pacifist appeasing lying democratic propaganda networks.

        • Bigvinu

CNN has no influence whatsoever on the bearings of this poll. CNN uses (I believe) Opinion Research as their pollsters. CNN only contracts polls, they don’t field them. Similar to the liberal bull (word removed) that Fox News fixes polls (similarly, Fox News uses Dynamic something – can’t remember their name of the top of my head- for their polls), you guys should really learn to only make arguments that make sense.

    • Brian Rawls

No shit, who cares what cnn thinks. This site is starting to head to the left.

      • Billy

Your comment sounds like a suggestion.

      • Daniel

I agree, the left is paying bloggers, media outlets etc, with our own damn taxpayers dollars, and way too many people are sitting on their butts doing nothing! Call your reps, let them know a vote for any socialist policies is a vote for their opps in 2010! Email them, if you have time to gripe on here , take time to email the people who work for us and let them know they will be voted out! Go to senate or house.gov, all your reps contact info is there! And DO NOT WAIT, yes its 13 months till the lelctions, but thats a hell of a lot of time for these liberals to effect changes we will never recover from! Stop them today get writing, calling and spread the word, no to socialism, no to wealth distribution to lazy freeloading liberals! No to the trampling of our constitutional rights! God bless !

        • http://donthaveone Beberoni

And it is staggering the amount of money guys like George Soros paid to continually attempt to destroy George W. Bush and stain his name. Fortunately for all of us interested in the truth, history meets out those with agenda’s versus the truth of things, and history will reveal in time the greatness of what this man has done in freeing millions of people and keeping his country safe, after his predecessor opened the flood gates and allowed millions of the enemy to roam around free and undetected in this country, setting up shop to blow up the WTC. Thank you Mr. Bush for your service. Your a great man and a great American. Im one American who appreciates your efforts in keeping my family safe, and making our nation strong.

          • eyeswideopen

No body needs to spend money to stain, George Bush’s name, he did that himself, with help from his buddy Cheney.

      • American Citizen

Bob Livingston is only reporting what’s in the news. As we don’t listen to CNN, I knew nothing of this so called poll.

It also gets us all talking. Sometimes you need a straight guy in order for the comic to get the laughs.

        • DaveH

Right on Citizen! I am very grateful to Bob Livingston for giving us these opportunities to voice our opinions and share facts.

    • Daniel

Interesting fact here; A CNN OPINION RESEARCH CORPORATION , did the so called poll. Translation; a poll financed by the likes of ACORN SEIU AND other community thugs and criminals( Another acorn head was convicted of fraud and election tampering yesterday).
Since when is a research opinion poll a corporation> lol Man the liberals are really scrambling lately!
Bottom line is they are being exposed as the dangerous socialists they truly are! And it is basically un-american, to take a page out of the liberal playbook. Way too many people teaching socialism in our schools today instead of social studies or US History and gov, maybe this is why they dont even know what is in the constitution, lol
I had 1 paid liberal blogger confuse Constitutional rights with human rights yestaerday, that sums it up pretty well!

      • DaveH

        Daniel,
I agree and for those who would like a greater appreciation for what drives this sort of behavior this is an online book that is very enlightening. It was written in the late 70s so some of the content is out of date, but the general premise is timeless:

    • Mark

Jordon—I could not have said it any better. Why would anyone put creditability in CNN poll—especially if it was done by the Liberal bias and biot Wolf Blitzer. The fact that they reported a poll that had to do with Sarah Palin makes me want to vote for her all over again.

She is the only person with some balls anymore. The other numb nuts in Washington try to do as little as possible to just get re-elected.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

They fear her because she actually represented the people she was elected to represent. She actually looked out for her peoples best interests, balanced her state budget, weeded out the dirty corrupt politicians and sent them packing, and gave money back to the people of her state. She knows God, and loves her family, so these guys are scared to no ends of her, because people can relate to a common person like her. So the left spent billions trying to destroy her, attacked her family, trumped up false charges, and made her spend millions to defend herself. Makes me sick to think there are Americans that do that to their fellow Americans. Makes me sick. I would vote for her in a minute, and while the left tries to make it out that McCain lost because of her, no, McCain lost because he was 150 years old, and he didnt add her to the ticket soon enough. Had she been the one running, Im confident a victory would have been hers. If she runs democrats, be afraid, be very afraid. It took your new guy 10 months to blow it.

        • gary

Inspite of some of her remarks I believe she is SLEEPER. She will surprise a lot people if elected. I voted for McCain and Palin, but it should have been the other way around. McCain cannot make up his mind which way he is going. Palin, on the other hand knows what she wants and has a direction, that she is being quiet about at the moment. I hope she runs, as I will vote for her. A woman in the white house??? It would be different, but nothing like the back stabber that is there now. She would be a monumental improvement.

    • Mark

Jordon—I could not have stated this any better. Why would anyone want to listen to a CNN pole especially if it was conducted by a bias Wolf Blitzer. This makes me want to support and vote for Sarah Palin all the more since she is the only politican to call washington what they are—–a bunch of unethical crooks.

    • Rojenn

I agree who cares about Palin anyway! She not very bright and she is white trash! So would anyone care about what CNN reports!

      • gary

WHITE TRASH?? Do not get me started as I will blow your boat so far out of the water GOD will not be able to find you are the boat. You must be some of the garbage I was commenting on in another post.

  • RoBotech

NO WAY! REAL Conservatives still love Sarah Palin and will support her in any endeavor. All that is conditional on WHAT she does, but a lot of Americans wish her the best, and WOULD support a Pres run in 2012 or 2016.
And this will become clearer in the spring of 2010. Wait and see.

    • Sharon

      Exactly!

    • Daniel

Amen brother! They couldnt stick a single ethics charge on her when she was gov, so now they resort to CNN AND MSNBC to try to silence her! This is why fox was #2 rated news outlet overall and msnbc came in a whopping 24TH! And I didnt even see CNN in top 25 lol.
As gramps always told me when weighing statements, always consider the source!

      • http://funprofit.com/funfoodz CHARLOTTE KELTNER

Right on! As a Christian, who tries to live my life daily according to God’s Word, I will support Sarah Palin, who also is a true, genuine Christian. The Bible says that people will know you by your “fruits”–Sarah is an example of this wisdom. The evils will bash her, but they will never destroy her soul. Do I plan on seeing her in Heaven some day-?–You betcha! Meanwhile, she would truly be “CHANGE YOU COULD BELIEVE IN!”

    • http://donthaveone Beberoni

      Im all in.

  • David

I didn’t know anyone watched CNN anymore. Palin has her problems but represents many of the core values that many of us want reset. Hang in there sissy!

  • Rich H

You mean the state run news agency CNN? They said that Palin was less popular? WOW that IS news.

  • wayne

100% correct, a CNN poll is not worth the time, she has more common sense than anyone in administration and majority of congress. She will continue to rise through real voters the more she contributes.

    • http://donthaveone Beberoni

      C-N-N = Corrupt National News

  • Larry

I agree,I think they come out with all these b……t polls to get the week minded to roll with it all but they will soon find that nobody with any sense will go with there analogy anymore.I back her 100% and always will cause they always say bad things about her cause they are afraid.By the time 2012 comes around cnn and all the other dink channels will fail and without government bailout they’ll be gone anyway from lack of revenue. This is our fight as much as hers and she is a strong leader that will get rid of all the corruption in washington.Americans are strarting to wake up and all I have to say is IT’S ABOUT TIME. PALIN 2012 the sooner the better

  • Linda

CNN? Who pays attention to them anymore? Sarah Palin speaks the truth and she is what this country needs. Many of our representatives seem to be afraid to speak out about the direction the far left wants to take our country in. If they like socialism so much why don’t they all pack up and move to Europe where socialism is the way of life. We don’t want it here.

    • gary

You are right on and wish the socialist libs would move on.

  • http://www.lmr911.com lore westphal

I will definitely VOTE for Sarah !!!!…she is so far the only one for me…it’s about time we get our country back…

    • eyeswideopen

I would like to know just where you think your country went? Who do you think has your country? Are you staying that us republicans have given up and no longer have any influence? Nobody told me that. Since when do we want someone who’s quit during their term, to represent us? I Read nasty comments about Senator Martinez who quit early, oh, I forgot he is a Latino, so we can be bigoted and slam him, but not Palin. Did you also forget that at least he gave many, many years to this Republican Party and country? I hate it when our racism shows that obviously.

      • DaveH

So you would rather she be a lame-duck governor like Obama was a lame-duck Senator while he was campaigning? If she was indeed an inexperienced leader as the left propaganda machine states, then they should be happy she got out of the way so someone could do the job that the liberals think she is incapable of. Personally, I wish we could get more inexperienced politicians in office, as the experienced ones are making our country go broke. If you value your freedom of choice, then we must let those career politicians know that we are through being subjects, and it is time to clean house.

        • eyeswideopen

So, you apparently think that all elected officials should quit during the last years of their terms because they are lame duck??? Oh, for God’s sake that is ridiculous. Why have any designated time frames for terms? So, you want people to spend alot of money, take over and just quit when they want too? Please don’t run for any Republican office. This party is known for standing by their committments not abandoning them!!!!!

          • American Citizen

Sarah was wise to resign her governorship as she did. She realized she couldn’t govern effectively while fight all those ethics charges which were not only costing her family beaucoup bucks, but also the state. There were 20 in all, the last one just before she resigned. She was found “not guilty” in every one of them. So who were the liars?
Now she can go around and speak for those in her party who will be running for election next year. She can show what she is really made of as who of us ever heard of her before last year? Her honesty and integrity shine through just as Obama’s sleaziness shone through him. He makes my skin crawl.

          • http://donthaveone Beberoni

I applaud her for quitting, because she couldnt do her job properly because of having to defend herself against the left wing who is out to destroy her. Between that and her family, she couldnt devote the time she knew the job required, so she did something most can relate to these days, she stepped aside for the betterment of the people, to let them have someone who could devote the time the job required. Most humans cant do that, as their pride gets in the way. Once again, this lady has shown class in doing this, putting aside what was best for her, in lieu of what is best for the people of her state. If all politicians cared about the people they are elected to serve like she does, we wouldnt have this political mess we have today. You want to call her a quitter, go ahead and show your ignorance. You obviously dont know her, and dont know the whole situation, so you really shouldnt be laying judgment down upon her. I think you are living in a glass house and are throwing stones.

      • DaveH

And please quit using that racism accusation. It is so trite to call someone racist because they don’t think the way you do. It is obvious that you are the racist when you pursue that tactic.

        • eyeswideopen

Dave, you aren’t member of this party, so you really don’t have a dog in this fight…you probably would like to see us fail, so your Libertian Party can recruit conservative Republicans. I don’t want to stand by while my party members make racist remarks about one of our own Senators for quitting, while hailing a women who couldn’t even tough it out for one damn term. We can’t be hypocrites with our own party members, that’s why this party is losing membership, and like it or not those of us who truly care will speak out and hold our people responsible!!!

          • eyeswideopen

            Sorry I mis-spelled Libertarian.

        • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Thank you Dave. Words of wisdom. I am 51, and have mostly, like 90 percent of the time, that when someone pulls the old racism card out, they are indeed the one with the racist problem. This is a fact, and Dave my friend, you just hit one out of the park. Its a grand slam brother. Hit the nail on the head. Stamp it.

        • eyeswideopen

Dave, I didn’t call any specific person a racist. So please don’t make those kind of statements.

      • American Citizen

Our cpuntry is being bought by China. Can you buy anything that isn’t made there? It’s hard to find anything made in this country anymore and I look every time I shop. This country is going to hell in a hand basket in more ways than one. We’re being destroyed from within as a Russian president many years ago said we would.

        • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Oh, I dont know about that. All my hand tools say Made in the USA. My Honda CRV was made here in the USA. The wire we use in our electrical business is made here in the USA. When I shop, I look specifically for the USA label, and its there, if your really concerned about it, or you can be all doom and gloom and bitch about it. The balls in your court, what you gonna do with it? Give in and buy Chinese, or apply yourself and do the research and see what brand of stuff is made here in the USA and support it? Its really up to you.

      • Pete2sail

Eyes and the rest of you so called Liberals in Republican clothing. I t seems tyhast yo do not think furhter than the end of yoour noses. Sarah Palin while in the office of Governor of the great state of Alaska was in the last few months of her term hounded and threatedned with law suits that would have bankrupted her and prevented her from governing in any practical manner. If you think she stepped down because she was a coward which many of you seem to imply — YOU GOT ANOTHER THINK COMING, IF YOUR CAPABLE OF THAT. She did the smart thing and time is showing that to be true. She has not gone into hiding and is now in the public eye more than ever. You cowards hiding behind the conservative agenda will be exposed in 201o and 2012. Until then — sweet dreams Repub-o-libs

      • gary

I think what has happened is that people have finally woke up to reality and realize how foolish they have been with this “tolerance sunshine” that has been blown up the buttocks for so long. Look at what it has gotten us!!!

  • Larry

And for David,I am a little confused as to what problems she has.The only ones that anyone says she has are the ones said by her enemies so please don’t believe it. She has absolutely no problems and will be a very strong and viable canidit for prez. Don’t believe the lies. All u had to do was watch her speaches and her debates and u can make your own decisions.Thats how conservatism works we make our own decisions not believe what anyone else says.

    • David

Larry, I do support her. What I meant by her problem is the hole she has had to dig out of from all the law suits, etc. Thanks, David

  • Mike L

Ditto to all the prior posts. She, however is being under utilized by the Republican base. She could be the “tell it like it is” that nobody in the conservative base has the guts to be. Sarah Palin could be effective fund raising and exposing the democrat’s & some Republican views and the direction they are taking our country. When and who is going to step up and resuscitate the Repulican conservative base to expose the radical direction the current mob in Washington is taking us?

    • DaveH

      Mike,
She is being under-utilized because many of the Republicans have succumbed to the siren song of power (although nowhere near to the extent that Democrats have). McCain, her running mate in 2008, is a good example. He was the co-sponsor of the free-speech stifling Campaign Reform Act of 2002, which helps to keep incumbents entrenched. It takes a lot of money to unseat an incumbent (they know that). McCain may be regretting that law now, as it probably tipped the scales in Obama’s favor. In 2008 I wrote an Email to John, congratulating him on his good sense to choose Sarah, and suggested to him that the order should be reversed though (he as vice-president and she as president).
I have been voting Libertarian for 30 years now and intend to vote Libertarian for the rest of my life, but I may make an exception to that if Sarah runs. I think she would be a breath of fresh air to the Republican Party. I don’t really know that much about what her platform is, but the fact that the Freedom-Taking Liberals are trying so hard to trash her makes me think she must be a pretty good choice.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Im with you Dave. Maybe she would be a good one to give a bolster to the Libertarian party, if the republicans wont get on board with her being a real American. You and I know the democrats wont.

      • gary

I surely hope you make and exception in November and do not vote Libertarian. It will split the vote and give the DEMs another chance to destroy what is left of this country. I used to vote like you but realized my vote was wasted. WE desperatly need another party to REPLACE THE DEMOCRATS, but now is not the time. We need to get the Republicans back in power in NOvember and in 2012. Then we can really begin again with the movement to create a new party. THe writing is on the wall, if the dems stay in power all is lost and this country as we know it is HISTORY>

  • Butch

What is CNN….I try my best to ignore government run organizations(especially this one….and no Sarah Palin isn’t losing any popularity
You just have to get used to propaganda if you listen to the whitehouse run CNN

    • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Whitehouse run CNN? Im not so sure of that. I know it is democrat run, and it was for sure when Bush was in the white house, so white house run, no, not at all. They are a propaganda outreach wing of the democrat party. thats it.

  • TERRY

I have to admit that I was taken aback when she resigned the governorship. It seemed as if she was quitting the battle; not a trait you want to see in a president. However, I do now think that she had valid reasons and that she is still the best current candidate for presidency. I wasn’t even going to vote last general election until she became the VP candidate! As for CNN, I echo the sentiment, “Why are you quoting them”? They have a biased and explicit agenda.

    GO SARAH!

    • eyeswideopen

Yes, they do, however when they have a poll bashing Obama, we are the first ones to quote their numbers, people we have to quit being hypocrites. We are losing membership in our party and the Christian faith due to our actions.

      • Sunshine

Did I miss something? CNN had a poll bashing Obama? !!! WHEN?

        • eyeswideopen

When America votes. We had CNN Poll at 100 days, and then again at 6 months, which is the first time in history that we are rating a President when he had only been in office for 6 mths. Those poll numbers were brandied round by the Republican like it was the Holy Grail.

  • Larry

wouldn’t it be a huge laugh if all the bluedog dems took the administrations threats to heart and do something I know Sarah Palin would do if threatened and change parties like traiter Spector did. They should all change to Republican and they might save their jobs if their lucky

    • Smilee

No one is joining the republican party these days there are those leaving it though. The public may not like a lot of things today but that is not benefiting the republican party one iota

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

You might want to take a mulligan on that statement. There will be one whole heck of a lot of democrats losing their jobs in 2010, and a whole lot more in 2012. Americans do have eyes and ears you know, and they see and hear whats going on, and not to many are liking it, so you just might want to reserve saying things like that for awhile, because in 2010 its going to bite you in the butt.

        • Smilee

          Dream on loser

        • gary

I surely hope your are right, but there are way too many liberal commy losers out there for my liking, such as the other one who replied to your post.

  • Judy Estes

I am so tired of hearing negative reviews from liberal newsmedia that do not report FACTS but rather have their own agenda to crucify Sara Palin. Sara Palin makes me feel like an American and that is a feeling that has long been gone because we have so many lieing, immoral, dishonest politicans. It is so refreshing to have someone that reflects consertive views and principles upon which this country was founded. All I can say is “GO SARA PALIN! I am with you!”

    • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Judi, Im a man, and for the first time in a long time I felt like I had someone running in a high office that actually gave a crap about this country and people like me, the middle class. I and thousands of us here in Indiana would vote for her hands down. She represents to me what is good about America.

    • Smilee

Sarah is her own worst enemy and the only cause of her downfall, those of you who cannot face the truth always blame it on someone else.

      • gary

THat is funny. You liberal schmucks are the ones that have been throwing dirt and labeling since at least 2000. I think you all see the beginning of the end. LMAO Sorry chump,I think you will eat your words.

  • Larry

I wouldn’t count on it though cause they do love their pork

  • Billy

Maintain your ststus as a conservative, seems to me that the reps and demos are very much working for the same goal. Seemed to me that McCain was campaigning for Obama. Anyway no matter what, put GOD back in control, seek HIS advice and wait on HIM and we will come out victoriously.

  • Daniel

Palin,s so called disapproval ratings are based on liberal sheep based media outlets and their polls. Palin has an 80% approval rating throughout the true American public, who are being raped by the current socialist regime.
When you compare Palin, who is a true American vs some of Obamas white house appointees, you will see the real picture here. Google Van Jones, Mr Lloyd of the FCC corruption gig, Axelrod, of the 2 million in payments for his sons promoting the healthscam bill. On and on.
George Soros selling stock and buying stock on inside information about the oil company in Brazil, , and Obama loaning Brazil 2 million for drilling for oil, while preventing our very own people from doing so, creating jobs and keeping our money working for our own people! Hypocracy in its finest form.

    • Smilee

Boy have you lost touch with the real world, maybe you should go see your shrink.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Maybe you shouldnt be so afraid of the truth, and read up on this and find out like I did that this guy is correct in what he says.

        • Smilee

          Wish on loser

          • californiaindygirl

            Smilee,

You come across this forum as being an uneducated, hateful, (WORDS REMOVED FOR OFFENSIVE CONTENT). It appears that your only knowledge is in bashing others, and calling them “losers”. I have not read anything that you have written that sounds knowledgeable, nor adult.

You resort to name calling, rather than taking the time to educate yourself as to the direction that this country is moving…so maybe you should just keep quiet until you are grown up enough to be civil here on these boards.

  • Barbara

Are these numbers cnn wishful thinking?
The fact that they continue to assault Sarah Palin keeps her in the news. With the majority of people cnn has no creditability. Which in a backhanded way tells us she is doing better than we are aware of.
GOP’s want back in power, they would do will to remember the 1994 points Newt Gingrich presented and follow through with.
Many people did not so much vote for the democrats as they voted against the incumbents and anything connected to the incumbents.

  • Mark Moore

There is only one real news station and if you won’t to hear the TRUTH tune in to FOX!! Watch Hannity , Bill O’Reilly, or Greta and Glenn Beck.Conservatives still love Sarah Palin and will support her.

    • Smilee

Sorry, I can’t tolerate the smell of bullshit

    • http://donthaveone Beberoni

This is a true and correct assessment. Thank you very much. Those who dont agree, are so hypnotized by ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN and MSNBC, that they dont know the truth when it hits them. I see Smilee’s comment, which just proves the point of him being a bitter ignorant old man, probably a liberal from a border town in Minnesota that is for national health care, and actually thinks Obama is doing a good job while he attempts to sink this country down the drain.

      • Smilee

Except that I’m from Minnesota your missed on all counts proving you are still a loser

  • Linda

Truth? The dems and liberals can’t handle the truth. They are not man enough or woman enough.that’s why they make up all their crap, it’s the only thing they can believe in.

Daniel: That Van Jones is one scary dude for American.

One more thing…who the heck cares what CNN thinks. They still have drool and slobber all over their faces. It’s so think that’s why they can’t see the truth.

  • Linda

Shoot that would should be “THICK”.

    • Linda

That “WORD” should be “THICK” not think. I hate it when I type faster than I think…

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

But I think, your thoughts were thick, very meaty. Good points.

  • priscella oshea

Amen to that..all comments are 100% for Palin. (THE TRUE AMERICAN POLE). Her ideals match our founding fathers, that’s what scares our government that is trying to wash it away and create a new regime of government. See what erosion does…one by one our government was replaced with corrupt politicians that really did fool the public for some time using ploys. (I can say I never fell for it)

Our Poles should be reading these type of responses to articles..and get a REAL Pole..I believe all the ‘Poles” are just brainwashing tools. As said earlier the Poles are used to influence people who are ignorant or uninformed as to what a true Republic is, thinking the majority will go with whatever they say!..WAKE UP AMERICA…the alarm clock went off a long long time ago!!!

    • eyeswideopen

      It is spelled poll’s.

  • Shirley

Sarah Palin still has rock star status as far as I’m concerned…she’s winning over the Hearts of the American people because she speaks the Truth, unlike our Liar in Chief & his socialist regime!
Who takes CNN polls seriously anyway…they skew the results to fit their spin…don’t believe their polls!

  • Larry

    whooooahhhh!!!!!! Priscilla

    • http://priscilla.perez@lnfre.com Priscilla Perez

I agree with Priscilla CNN also called Michael Smirconish, from Philadelphia, a conservative talk show host, just to make us believe that Barack Obama would even sit with a conservative to discuss anything. He is about as Liberal as they get, and I wonder how long his radio show will last. So yes, as a Conservative I like Sarah Palin and believe that she is one of the few in the Republican Party telling it like it is. They are “Death Panels.”

  • Patricia Nigro

She is such a phoney air head!

    • Glenn

Golly, Patricia Nigro, who is the “she” you’re talking about? Are you looking in the mirror?

      • American Citizen

I think she has a misspelling here. She meant to say “I’m”.

      • DaveH

        Glenn,
All we need to know about the Liberals is that they are pushing a system (Socialism) that has failed miserably in every country that has fully implemented it. And they have the nerve to call anyone else “an airhead”?

    • http://donthaveone Beberoni

There is a whack job out on the loose. I think they are hiding in your bathroom, right above the sink. Go look and see if she’s in there.

  • Paul Cronin

Sarah is rock solid; you however are not. Your credibility has slipped 50 points by alinging you and your news outlet with the Obama run media. Shame on you! How about doing something to build Sarah Palin up rather than jumping on the leftist biased media ban wagon attempting to bring her down.

  • Linda

Let’s see for the week of 8/10 – 8/14/ cable programs FOX News was 2nd. 1st was USA. CNN….oh what a shame I think they were at number 26 and MSNBC was 24 or vice versa. Did everyone see Diamond Rio on FOX and Friends this morning? They sang “God Is There”. Great song.

    • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Meanwhile, as CNN, MSNBC, the NY Times, the LA Times, and all these left wing liberal agencies are losing their asses, and people are stopping both buying their papers and watching their propaganda agenda bases lies, these guys just arent smart enough to figure it out, that the American people want the truth reported in the news, not some politically slanted opinion to further their parties cause. News is supposed to be neutral, just report it, and let the viewer decided. Dont lie and mis-report and slander. My gosh, dont you jerks wonder why FOX news is rated so high? We want the news and the chance to decide, not you lefties trying to tell us how it is. You are so out of touch with American and the common man, you have no clue. Your alliance to the hollywood cocaine-chapagne crown is evidence of that, as those guys are so out of touch, they get in bed with their own sex. But you guys say thats ok to. Like I said, your out of touch on the left. Thank you FOX NEWS for reporting, and giving me a chance to think on my own of what I think about the stories you report.

      • gary

        Amen and well said.

  • American Citizen

I heard we’re sending $10 billion dollars to Brazil for oil drilling. Where is our government getting all that money from?

Any true conservative will vote for another true conservative, one of which is Sarah Palin. Sarah for President!!

    • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Where do you think? The democrats run things, they are the richest bastards in the world, even though somehow they have managed to hoodwink America’s lower and middle class into thinking they are the poor guys and the republicans are the rich guys. How that happened, I dont know, since it seems the democrats own everything. They own ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN and MSNBC, and they report what they want us to hear. If it werent for there being a FOX NEWS out there, we’d never get the truth about anything on TV. If this guy has billions to give GM and Chrysler, and billions to raise unemployement benefits and all those left wing social programs, whats a few more million or billion of OUR dollars for him and his ilk to give away? They dont care about America’s future, as they dont care about its present condition. Look what actions they have taken in 8 to 10 months – All of it destructive, every stinking bit of it. I give credit where credit is due, but nothing of credit has been done yet. I dont see much a chance of anything good coming from these guys either, as they are so about power and greed, they will turn on each other to get it.

The mandate of the Export-Import Bank of the US(ex-IM Bank) is to help create and sustain US jobs by financing US exports.
Their charter prohibits them from turning down financing for either nonfincancial or non commercial resasons. They make no grants. Majority of their financing consists of guarantees of loans mad by commercial lenders.
During the past 16 yrs the fees that they collect have netted American taxpayers more than 4.9 billion, plus the jobs those exports have created. Those fees they charge allow the bank to be self-sustaining and does not receive any appropriated funds from Congress. 85% of their transaction directly benefit US small business.

Sarah, doesn’t know this or understand this….We have Republican women who are educated and knowledgable with experience. People check with her own party in Alaska, the Republicans are not happy with how she governed.

  • Polly

That’s very interesting … the last poll I saw had her at 70% when asked who is the likely GOP candidate.

    • Smilee

That poll was taken only amongst conservative flakes she’s a loser to the rest of the country.

    • eyeswideopen

is that 70% of the 25% of the Conservative in the Repub party?

  • thecard

Is it a coincidence that Obama backer George Soros repositioned himself in Petrobras to get dividends just a few days before Obama committed $2 billion in loans and guarantees for Petrobras’ offshore operations? Hmmmmmmmmmm.
Worse yet…petrobras will be selling the oil to China…not the US…Well isn’t that just nice…and who in congress voted for this?
and why has the GEORGE SOROS owned radical left media NOT reporting it… It is all just sickening…Am writing my congressman today to find out who pushed this thru…I can only guess…

    • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Martha Stewart went to jail for this, but you and I both know that Obama and the democrats let old Soro’s know this was happening, since he gives them so much money, he owns them. That is a fact.

  • Walter Renniks

I have to wonder if this is the leftist, goose-stepping, Obama-fawning, liberal media’s attempt to distract attention from the known fact that President Obama’s popularity and effectiveness ratings are plunging faster than free-falling parachutist – with a non-functioning parachute?

There are some very, very good rock solid Conservatives out there – Sarah Palin just happens to be at the top of the heap. I’d love to see a Palin/Jindal ticket come 2012.

In reality Palin’s popularity isn’t falling amongst Conservatives…rather it’s falling amongst libs and their lapdog media. Nothing new there.

    • http://donthaveone Beberoni

I actually have that bumper sticker allready, Palin/Jindal 2012. Sarah just scares the living hell out of the democrats doesnt she? Its great man, Im eating in up watching them curl into the fetal position and cry for their mommies. Oops, another one just peed his pants.

      • Smilee

Oh I hope so it would be worse for them than for Langon in 36

      • eyeswideopen

There’s an apostrophe in the word can’t, too.

  • DaveH

The libs jumped all over Sarah because her daughter had a baby out of wedlock by the man/boy she loved. Did they react that harshly to John Edward’s mistress probably having his baby? I doubt it, but I don’t know because I can’t stand to watch those biased liberal news channels.

    • eyeswideopen

I don’t think anybody in this country really bashed a teenager who made a mistake. But you must admit, that Ensign, Stanford, and Vitter have given all of us pause. The Dem’s have the chance to slam us, when the aforementioned are champions of “Family Values” and decry others who have made mistakes, calling for their resignations, while not doing us the same favor and removing themselves from office for violations of moral turpitude. This is the hypocrisy that they (Dem’s) jump on. When this happens, and our elected official don’t have the integrity to remove themselves, we must then do it for them. We need to regain our moral integrity.

      • American Citizen

Here I agree with you. I have yet to see a Democrat resign when caught with his hands in the cookie jar (or elsewhere). Yet they call for the head of a Republican when caught. We know what Jesus said about hypocrites. He called them “whitewashed tombs”.

    • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Yeah, they attack the family daughter like she is so bad, and Sarah is such a failure. What? What about all the women JFK and RFK had outside their marriages? That was OK? What about Ted out cheating on his wife, then drowning Mary Jo Kopechne on a drunken night? Oh yeah, thats ok. What about Bill Clinton and Gennifer Flowers? And Paula Jones? And Monica Lewinski? And the dozen’s of others he had? What a bunch of fricking hypocrites. A minor makes a mistake, and many minors do. But an adult in one of the, including the highest post in the land, repeatedly knowingly and willingly doing this stuff. Come on. Give me a break you left wing hypocrites.

      • Smilee

Why don’t we just stay out of everyone’s bedrooms, to me only perverts want to have a part of other persons sex lives.

      • American Citizen

Do you know that Mary Jo Kopechne did not drown but that she suffocated? Her head was in an air pocket and she kept breathing in her own carbon dioxide laden air. If Ted had gone for help right away, she most likely would have survived. I think the autopsy also showed she was pregnant. This has come out since Ted Kennedy’s death. Before that, everything was hushed up.

      • eyeswideopen

I fact checked her daughter, and no one is bashing her for getting pregant. You people are making up this stuff. This country is not a bad as you think, There were absoutely no articles critizing her untill she went on tour to minister to other teens not to do what she did….Just ironic, most kids didn’t listen to her for that very reason, but nobody said anything malicious about her.

  • Sharon D

I agree with Jordan Y. Why would you pay attention to a poll done by CNN telling everyone that Sarah’s numbers are falling. They never have anything positive to say about her. Also, isn’t it a coincidence that the numbers for B.O. are falling and now this poll comes out. Hmmmm…. CNN and the liberals are afraid of Sarah Palin because she is a conservative, honest,is not being supported by the special interest groups, and millions of people like her honesty! Which is quite the contrary to our current WH administration.

  • John C. Davidson

Let’s not let ‘Poles’ get in the way of principles. Even their reliability is questionable, as is evident from the source.

  • Rhea

Anti … I’d be interested to know what you think qualifies Sarah as a cummunist (or for that matter, a bimbo). Or is that a presidential question … I bet he would know.

    • DaveH

      Rhea,
He was talking about Patricia, not Sarah.

  • Rhea

Anti … sorry … the error in spelling communist tells you how much credit I give to it.

  • Rodney

I agree with the above. I think that if Bush had paid more attention to the people of this country; Obama would have never gotten into office even with the fraud at the voting booths. I carry two union cards and one could suppose that would back Obama; but I am an Independent. I want what it is best for this country and I think it is Palin and those who think like her.
I belive the outcome would have been much better if Palin had ran for the Presidency instead of McCain. For one thing McCain favors legalizing all the aliens as well as Obama. That would be very bad for our economy as well as our Health care system.
As far a CNN goes, I think they should be banned for not reporting the news honestly.

    • http://donthaveone Beberoni

I agree, except for one thing. Obama got into office, not because of what Bush did or didnt do, he got in because of two things. One, mass advertising of change-change-change. Like Budweiser and Miller Lite being #1 and #2, Its not because they taste the best, its because they advertise constantly and put their name into the heads of kids that one day grow up to drink beer and they recognize that name and want to drink that product. Barack advertised change-change-change with more millions spent than ever before. And two, America didnt want to elect 150 year old John McCain. Thats it.

Conservative should note the liberal press that brought down people like Serah are waiting to bring any other conservative down. Press is pwerful therefore if honest people would not conterbalance liberal instrumentality of press in any way possible, they will still do more.

  • Gene Reid

cnn would not tell the truth if there life were at stake especially about Sarah .She scares hell out of all liberals. Watch FOX NEWS,they tell the truth about both sides. Her popularity is growing not declining.

  • rjm

If you really want an accurate sampling of the American Public’s view it won’t be from ABC, CBS, NBC or CNN… Suggest Fox News if you want the truth! They are #1 this week – CNN was 26th… By the way, Palin’s career is far from over.

    • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Dont forget MSNBC into this lot of propaganda left wing based media outlets.

  • EAM

All you have to do to find out who the liberals fear is see who they attack. They fear Sarah Palin and will do anything to make her look bad. She is still very popular with true conservitives.

    • John C. Davidson

I believe they fear the truth!

  • Keith H

It’s too early to say what Sarah Palins objective is going to be.What ever she does I hope it benefits her family.
It seems like the democratic elites and the republican elites are fighting over power. CNN are own by the elites, which means they will only tell you what they want you to know.
I’m for gun rights ,but when the protesters went to the healthcare conference with guns, I thought it was interesting.
The last time I remember people bringing guns to political event, was back in the 1960s during the black panther party movement. Back then the government called them terrorist for doing it, I wonder if the panthers had done that today, what would have been the outcome…..?

    • DaveH

      Keith,
I can’t speak for the other political events, but one of the gun-toting people at Obama’s rally in Phoenix, Arizona was a black. Given the fact that a political rally for a president would probably be one of the safest places on earth (maybe second to airports), there would be absolutely no reason for a real pro-gun person to carry a semi-auto rifle. Also, approximately 90% of blacks vote for Democrats. My local paper’s editorial made a comment that the gun-carrier might as well join Obama’s cause. Also, they said that the person declined to state his ID. How convenient. I wrote a letter to the editor and asked them “How do you know he isn’t part of Obama’s apparatus? Odds are, given that he is black, that he is. And wouldn’t the police have asked him to provide ID?”. It was a pretty sloppy job of reporting in my opinion.

      • eyeswideopen

Hey, here’s a little more info on that; Ernest Hancock who is a rt wing radio host was interviewed and stated that there were members of the Viper Reserve Militia present and carrying guns at the event. That group had 12 members arrested in 1996, for conspiring to blow up 7 Federal Bldgs. Timothy McVie had his campsite about 12 miles from their location.

  • UsaBruce

Sarah Palin said what she was going to do when she resigned. She said that she was hamstrung and couldn’t do her job. She said she was going to a larger playing field. She said she was going to campaign for people of principle, she said that she didn’t care what Party they belonged to if they were principled people. The Left thought they were going to destroy Sarah with their ethics complaints, she stepped out of the box they put her in. She freed herself up to come to the lower 48 without anyone hobbling her with false charges. Know what else I think the Left did? I think they got her mad. I think they created the very Sarah that they fear the most, an unshackled, unafraid, outspoken, totally honest Sarah of the people. She’s already gotten the Health Care Bill changed just sitting on her couch at home and using her laptop. I don’t pay ANY attention to the Liberals or their opinions. They just need to be removed from power via the vote. On 9/12 thousands upon thousands of American Patriots are going to be marching on D.C., I would not be surprised if Sarah showed up and kicked off her lower 48 Kick a** tour there. We are an army waiting for a leader. I will follow Sarah if she chooses to lead.

    • Shirley

      BRAVO, UsaBruce!!
You put into words EXACTLY what Sarah did…but the lamestream media did not want to admit!
You don’t put someone like Sarah Palin in a box (or even in a corner!) for fear she will come out swinging – fightin’ mad. She is listening to her higher calling and by leaving her Alaskan governorship, she is able to be unleashed!!! And be Outspoken, and Powerful, and talk with total Honesty. Hooray for her Moxie attitude – she’s definitely got it “goin’ on” and in a Good way for the Country and its People. She is a strong Leader with a fine character.

    • http://donthaveone Beberoni

And after their unduly attacks on her and her family, I want her to come out firing on all cylinders, and have her own investigations into these characters done by then, and I will trust her to name names, and give dates and expose these lepers for what they are. And I trust her to do it. They really shouldnt have pissed her off, and now, well, you old left wing liberal bastards get to reap what you sowed. I can hardly wait.

  • http://www.land-secrets.com Daniel

Best Pres/V.P. ticket for 2012: Huckabee & Palin. This from the starting gate. Huckabee got more votes for the dollar than any president. Why? He hits the nail on the head. On his web-site, he stated that upon his first day in office, he would take a “Closed” sign and place it on the front lawn of the IRS. He knows where that money really goes, and to what evil ends the IRS commences. Fair Tax – a book is what he endorses. Could you imagine what amazing good it would be if family run businesses sprouted up all over the country? Hard to do that now as their taxed to death. But the IRS has never worked to destroy families?

    • DaveH

Yes Daniel, the Fair Tax would be great for this country, but still we would have to be vigilant, as the politicians would be trying their hardest to grow the Fair Tax into a Byzantine system like the Income Tax currently is.
And the family run businesses would still have a lot of government hurdles to clear. I always wanted to start my own business, but I didn’t because I will be damned if I am going to let someone who has no skin in the game, in fact is taking skin from the game, tell me who to hire and fire, and what benefits to pay. I believe it is only the business of the prospective employee and the prospective employer to decide what the terms of employment are going to be.

      • American Citizen

We have a son who is a CPA. He had to take a class this morning on what will be new in the tax code for next year. I told him, “the best new thing they could do would be to lower taxes.” He said the last 15 years have been bad for business. As he has two offices, he would know. At one time he had 3, but sold his half to his then partner.

        • Smilee

Simple tax software are replacing him I believe this is result of capitalism at work.

          • http://donthaveone Beberoni

So, you are against capitalism? Wow. Not me. So you want socialism? Or is there something else your for? Please expound on this. Capitalism rewards success. Ive always wanted rewarded when I succeed. I think its a good deal.

          • Smilee

I didn’t say any of that but you spin it anyway you like and dream on you will never succeed in capitalism as you do not have what it takes to do so

  • Sally Fama

CNN?? Who would even consider THEIR polls. No one asked me. I think she’s great. She’s intelligent, has common sense, which some intelligent people do not have and above all, is honest.

  • American Citizen

I’m with those who would vote for Huckabee. By the time our primary took place, he was no longer on the ballot, but I voted for him as a write-in. I watch his show on Fox every Sunday evening. He makes a lot of sense. A Huckabee/Palin, or Jindal/Palin, or Palin/Jindal ticket in my mind would be a winner. There are good conservatives out there who would make a good administration. We need to get all those power hungry crooks out of Washington.

  • American Citizen

Here’s an example of government efficiency – the Energy Department. It was created during the Carter administration in August of 1977 to lower our dependence on foreign oil. 32 years later, it has 16,000 federal employees and almost 100,000 contract employees with a budget of 24.2 billion dollars.

Huh? What’s that you say, liberals? We should depend on the Federal Government for our health care? No thanks.

    • eyeswideopen

Maybe you didn’t know that in 2003 we passed Medicare Advantage, it was supposed to be 400 billion, however in 2006 the White House revised the cost to be 1.2 TRILLION. Now like it or not, us Republicans screwed up when we passed that bill. It also gives 400 million in subsidy to IBM, so they won’t cancel the prescription benefits for their retired employees. That began in 2006 and will run until 2012. We also gave billions in subsidies to insurance companies, too many for me to list. American Citizen, you appear to be very intelligent, I only ask that you do some research on what our own party passed prior to trying to embarrass the Dem’s. You need to keep in mind that we had control of both houses of Congress for 12 years prior to 2007.

      • Smilee

This is one of the places Obama is going to cut to get money for his reforms, he will pay the advantage plans in Medicare the same as the other health care providers in Medicare. The Bush advantage plans which are a real disadvantage for the senior raised the cost over regular Medicare by 13%, this is how real conservatism today works but of course thier corporate friends love them for increasing their profits at the expense of the tax payer and are spreading all kinds of misinformation to the public now with hopes of keeping for themselves this easy money at yours and mine expense.

      • American Citizen

That’s why Obama’s healthcare plan won’t work. The start up is only the beginning. The costs will go up every year until it is top heavy with them. He could tax the “rich” for every cent they’ve got and it wouldn’t cover the cost. He even wants to raid Medicare for a lot of money to help pay for it. As it is, Medicare is not free, thus we seniors would pay even more for it. Being on a fixed income, I guess we’ll just curl up and die. We can’t afford many more raises in premiums as the cost of living keeps going up also. I don’t think health care should be free, we should all pay for some of what we get. That’s why deductibles and remainders of what insurance doesn’t pay are paid for by us as well as the premiums.
What is Medicare advantage? Is that the drug plan where we hit the “donut hole” and pay for the full cost of our drugs ourselves?

        • Smilee

          American Citizen says:
          August 23, 2009 at 9:23 am

You are all mixed up. first let me explain what medicare advantage plans are, they are private HMO’s. PPO’S and fee for service plans etc. sold by the private sector where Medicare pays the premium for and is regulated by the state and not Medicare so in a nut shell it is the some of same we have for the under 65 crowd what now and we have found out that since 03 the cost of these plans has been on average 114% of costs to Medicare as opposed to the regular Medicare costs and has less legal protections for the senior. You would not pay more for Medicare because of Obamas proposal. What Obama proposes in paying these plans only the same as the regular plans thus saving what the republicans wasted so carelessly in 03 and not only that the complaints at Medicare on these is overwhelming and very few conplaints from the original plans. Conservatism today is very inefficient and expensive and destructive, just look at the 1995-2006 spending of this country when they had full control including borrowing money to give the rich a tax cut which we are still paying for so a tax raise to them now would only restore it to its original rate. NO ONE is saying it will be free, conservatives say liberals are saying that but they are not and they know better. I do not know what supplement plan you have but I pay no deductibles or unpaid amount under my supplement plan only premiums. The advantage plans are under Medicare C plans and the donut hole is a part of Medicare D plan for prescriptions only and Obama has gotten an agreement from the drug companies to cut the donut hole is half. Part D plans are only sold by the private sector with some government regulations and that is why it is so expensive. I have a friend who is a veteran and also has Medicare D, a prescription for him cost #110.00 before the deductible in part D and he could get the same prescription from the VA for $11.00. The cheap one is the government plan the expensive one, part D is a private plan. VA needs some reform and Bush tried to privatize that too but failed at that, never the less looking at all health care plans across the board in this country the government plans do a better job at less cost not only here but around the world. As I read most posts here I find that few understand our health care plans or how they work and sadly they think they are experts this makes them delusional in my book.

          • American Citizen

I don’t know that we ever heard about the Medicare Advantage, but I don’t think we’d have take it anyway. I only know that Obama raised the amount to be taken out of Medicare from $294 billion to $500 billion. What that will to do to Medicare, I don’t really know, but I can only think we’d be paying more out of pocket. Obama and some Senators said they want the Government plan to be like Medicare. I don’t know why the Government can’t offer it’s own plan for those who are either/or uninsurable or in that pocket where they work but still can’t afford to buy insurance. That would be far fewer people than the entire population of over 300 million people.

          • American Citizen

Smilee, what insurance co. are you with for your supplemental? Our insurance man found the cheapest for met and my husband and even though we have different supplementals, both require we pay the Part B deductible. Our premiums are less that $50 each.

      • Sunshine

In 2007 and 2008 the Dems had control of Congress, in case you didn’t know. Why didn’t they start making changes right then if they felt Republicans were so incompetent? Seems to me they sort of went along with the status quo. And if it was a matter of “no time to affect any changes” to what the Republicans had so screwed up, answer me this: how is it that few of our Congressional Reps had “time” to read the 1,017-page HR3200, but as they are pushing it and keeping all of so involved discussing and fighting over 3200, they had time to write and vote on HR2749 and several other bills having to do with the destroying of our ability to grow unadulterated, natural food and which will effectively put American farms out of business, and most especially is geared to eliminate organic farming? Seems to me there’s a little nefarious activity going on behind the scenes.

        • Smilee

With only a Democratic majority of one in the senate it was impossible to override the republican filibusters and they used it a record number of times in that session. in other words they had the brakes and slammed them on hard. the reason the democrats could not do what you blame them for but I guess you do not understand how government works. Ignorance is bliss you know

          • eyeswideopen

            Yes, bliss, it is!!!

    • http://donthaveone Beberoni

This is exactly what happens when government, specifically the democrats, form control over things. Government grows in leaps and bounds, and this office is created, then this office, with this assistant and that assistant, then this guy needs an office with a secretary, then appoints his brother to run another branch, then like you said, pretty soon your spending billions to run this thing, and nothing gets done but business as usual, only now your paying a couple more thousand people on the government payrolls. Government, expecially democratic government, specialized in this. That is why every stinking one of them raises taxes, including their idol Billy the wanker Clinton, who raised taxes more than any president in history, only the left declines to see or own up to that. We need less government, not more.

  • Helge Fahrtmann

CNN is a television enterprise not very different from their competing stations. The distinction comes from objectivity and honesty put up with common sense. That is probably the reason for the outcome of CNN’s poll. Nothing wrong with it – honestly!

    • DaveH

      yeeesh

    • American Citizen

Polls are only as reliable as the questions asked. You can get the results you want by the questions you ask. That’s why I don’t put any faith in polls. I’ve been surveyed (by phone) on several different subjects. I couldn’t answer every questions the way I would have as my answer wasn’t one of their multiple choices. That’s the reason I don’t put much faith in polls.

    • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Hey Fart Man, CNN and honesty cannot possible survive in the same comparison, so dont do that please.

  • http://sportsplanes.com Josh

The bells of Hell ring the loudest when your right. It is time for changes in our government. I would vote for Sarah.
We have enough natural gas for vehicles to make a huge impact on forign oil. Why haven’t we done this? EPA is why….
CNG is cleaner, safe, and affordable. You can even fuel from home if you have natural gas. Cars and trucks can run on either cng and gasoline with the flip of a switch.

    • American Citizen

Since politicians don’t have common sense, don’t hold your breath. If an honest person runs for office and wins, he/she soon becomes part of the “Me first” crowd. They all become rich while in there on our money and then get a whopper of a pension, even if only in for one term. I don’t think they deserve a pension at all from that “job” as they should have to pay into SS, and save and invest as the rest of us have to do.

      • American Citizen

Forgot to say, there should be term limits as the public is for the most part, too stupid to vote them out.

        • John C. Davidson

More than a month might be too long for some of them.

  • Jack Kinch(1uncle)

I will vote for the candidate running against The Kenyan as I voted for McCain. The demorats have moved way too far left. AND spending way too much money on their special interest groups.

  • Garth Tobler

Sarah Palin seems to have “lost her mind” soon after the national spotlight shone her. She should all that she can to regain her “mind”, ie, remember why she got into public service, to serve the public’c best interest.

    • Scott Brown

I’m fairly sure that’s not why she got into the public spotlight. It would appear that being in the public spotlight is the reason she got into the public spotlight. I’m for freedom. It appears she’s for freedom to be in the public spotlight. Yes, it bothers me. I was an American/Independent who felt he must vote for Paul, or not at all. I put a lot of money into his campaign which I could not afford. But it was that, or stay out of it. Well, next time I’m out, it’s been rigged for many years. We don’t owe these clowns the time of day. You’ll get whomever they want to give you.

      • http://www.artbyadrienne.com Adrienne Anderson Smith

Be strong! As a Libertarian/Republican I understand your feelings. BUT – If people who did not like McCain hadn’t stayed home or voted for Paul – Just “bitten the bullet” and voted for the Republican ticket we would not be where we are now. The head count for the election was about the same as usual – but the number of newly registered young people had increased almost ten-fold. Salty folk who were perturbed with the conservative side stayed home. I hope they rue it. Dedication & vigilance are mandatory.
        LESSON LEARNED? I hope so.

    • sherry

I BELIEVE SHE QUIT FOR 2 REASONS. BEING IN POLITICS SEVERLY RESTRAINS ANYONE FROM SPEAKING THERE MIND. THE WHOLE POLITICALLY CORRECT THING. THE OTHER ALL MOTHERS WILL UNDERSTAND. SARAH PALIN LOVES HER KIDS AND WOULD DO ANYTHING TO PROTECT THEM FROM ANY PAIN IF SHE CAN. THE PRESS FOR SOME REASON FELT IT WAS OPEN SEASON ON HER KIDS. I WOULD GIVE UP ANYTHING TO KEEP MY KIDS SAFE. IT WAS PROBABLY A SMALL PRICE TO PAY. MYSELF, I THINK SARAH PALIN AND DICK CHEENEY ARE THE ONLY 2 PEOPLE THAT ARE WILLING TO TAKE A STAND FOR FREEDOM.THE PEOPLE WHO SHOULD BE SPEAKING OUT AND DOING THERE JOB AND REPRESENTING US ARE TO AFRAID THEY WILL LOOSE THERE JOB. I KNOW THERE ARE 2 PEOPLE THAT DONT CARE. THANK GOD FOR THEM

      • Foolpatrol

“I KNOW THERE ARE 2 PEOPLE THAT DONT CARE [Sarah 'give me free' Palin & Cheney].”

I agree 100% Sherry! Two people who simply don’t care! An empty heart and an empty head; both individuals in it for themselves. Cheney to line the pockets of himself and his no bid contractor cronies and Sarah ‘give me free, it’s not my fault, what’s in it for me’ Palin to line her own pockets. Free clothes, free family vacations, gifts, cash for sleeping in her own bed and secret snow machine deals. Must be nice.

Newsflash: If Sarah ‘give me free’ wants to protect her children, she can start by not using them as political props to advance her career. Give Sarah thirty pieces of silver and everything is for sale, including Trig.

        • Tom

Foolpatrol – Your name is appropriate – at least the first part. You seem to be so far off thae mark re: Palin and her family/children. She has been very protective of her son Trig and the vitriol you are spewing is offensive to any parent. Had she not defended her children I’m sure you’d have something crass to say from that angle also.

      • Foolpatrol

PS: I thank God too. That both of the lowlifes’ are no loger in public office.

        • European

To ‘foolpatrol’ at least you have one word correct: FOOL, you don’t think your Palosi and the rest of the corrupted folks in ‘charge’ takes us for all our money. You claim Palin does this, the only one known for not collecting a paycheck by resigning, finding herself in this situation cause of all the money her state had to put into legal fees in defense from democrats, most started by one and the same person. It was amazing of her to do such a thing, not the average politician that would have milked that check forever. You don’t even follow the real info of politics. You are just a blindfolded ‘fool’, that came up with a foolpatrol name to cover up your own ignorance.
Live your life that way, go ahead, we’ll just smile and feel sorry for you. But too many of you is what brings USA down, or let’s the government bring it down more correctly. (from a greencard holder of the USA and a Patriot= No doubt I Love this land, God Bless the USA.)

        • Just plain tired of the lies

Isn’t it funny that the polls report that the number of those who view Palin negatively has risen to 48 percent, and yet “the Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday (08/24/2009)shows that 28% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty percent (40%) Strongly Disapprove ….” and yet the media says that Palin appears to be declining and headed for obscurity. So, does that mean the currant President is valueless? I guess it is just a matter of how you want to make numbers lie.

    • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Thats exactly what she has done since day one. That is why she resigned, because of all the time it takes to fight off these left wing attacks, she couldnt do her job so she moved on. Plus, she needs this time to get her people together to win the election in 2012, and she knew it wouldnt be fair to the people of Alaska, so she resigned. Classy move. You are mistaken with your comments.

      • eyeswideopen

I can just imagine her in the white house and how she would cope, when the Dem’s started berating her like we do Obama. HAH HAH, she can’t take the pressure of a few law suits? Just wait untill people like you start attacking her…….she wouldn’t last 6 months.

  • Bob

If CNN says it,I don’t beleive it. They are as one sided as you can get.

    • Scott Brown

Sir, if any of those apertures says it, don’t believe it. They’re all paid for by the very same corporations to keep you riled enough not to pay sufficient attention to the clever hand in your back pocket. As are our two major political parties. It’s a two punch political system, and you are the punching bag. Save yourself a nosebleed and give up your money and your rights. Or not.

    • http://personallibertydigest scott

I would have to agree if CNN said it then it is bias they are so far left they are in russia. I think that Palin is very well liked among the majority of americans but CNN just wants you to think that anything she says dont hold water because it dosent serve their libral agenda.

  • eyeswideopen

Listen, most Republican women resent that someone of this caliber was trying to represent us. My neighbors 10 year old couldn’t get over the fact that she didn’t know the the Vice President doesn’t make laws. Even if you can get over the fact that her husband: belonged to a union, belonged to a radical political party and owned an airplane(how many average Joe’s own an airplane?),you could not overlook her obvious lack of knowledge on many issues. What kind of mother takes her children out of school to travel on the campaign trail? We have so many, experienced, highly educated and intelligent women in the party, that could have run and every time she opened her mouth they cringed. McCain didn’t vet her adequately. If I heard “also therefore” or “progress the country” one more time, I knew I would lose my mind. The fact that she could have run this country scared the crap out of most of us.

    • DaveH

      eyes,
“Her husband belonged to a radical political party”, the Alaskan Independence Party? So it is radical to want to leave a country whose leaders no longer obey the law they swear to unhold? It is radical to want to leave a country whose leaders are spending our children and our grandchildren into bondage? Go ahead, you are free to be a doormat, but don’t criticize those who’ve had enough.

      • eyeswideopen

Then they should leave, I don’t really want his wife trying to run this country, when they don’t have the patriot attitude. You have to love this country in order to govern…cutting and running is not an option. They are both quitters…..

        • cat

Then why is bo president?? He certainly shows his disgust for this country. Hence, “CHANGE”. It hasn’t even been a year, and the liberal agenda is making me sick. It’s all about control!

          • in ohio

“it’s all about control”… yup, the corporate elite are sick to death that they lost control and now they’re funding all this hate to keep American’s distracted until they figure out who they can buy

          • Smilee

            Ohio, I’ve noticed that too

      • eyeswideopen

        Dave,
The AIP are open to joining an Independent Western Canadian State, including the Yukon and Northwest Territories.
Joe Vogler, the founder of AIP, allied itself with the Islamic dictatorship in Iran in 1993, so that Vogler could appear at the United Nations to appeal for Alaska’s freedom from US “tyranny”. A fellow AIP member murdered him before he could take the UN stage. Oh yes, lets have his family run this country.

        • DaveH

So you’re implying that somehow Palin’s husband is complicit in the murder because he belongs to the same party? I think that is hate speech. I also think you are a bigot. How’s it feel to be the recipient of all that name-calling and manipulation?

          • eyeswideopen

No, I’m saying that the AIP is party who alligned itself with an Islamic party in IRAN. You don’t consider that a little radical? Well, most of the Republicans don’t want to be associated with a country who kidnapped our citizens and still today want to see the US destroyed. Do you have any loyality to anything or anybody? In a previous response I believe you stated you weren’t religious but would probably trust someone who was, more than someone who wasn’t..Well, I put my God first, who gives me the strengtht to take care of my family and country. I have been a Conservative for more than 44 years, served this country, and am concerned when someone who wants to make Alaska a part of another country and associates with Iranians wants to be in a position of power…you can call me a bigot, but first and foremost I am a REPUBLICAN! who cares enough to try and repair the damage to ,my party.

          • Scott Brown

You know, DaveH, it feels like you’re offering someone else’s agenda. “Hate speech?” This is America, and speech is speech. Argue the point, or don’t. But don’t attempt to shoot down someone’s argument by calling it hate speak, this is not the McCarthy Era or Orwell’s “1984″. Or, is that what you’d like it to be? The concept of “hate speech” as an American crime is as un-American as we get around here. We argue on the basis of Constitutionality, of logic, of freedom. You know, Tom Paine, Patrick Henry, Thomas Jefferson. Or perhaps, you don’t know.

          • DaveH

            Oh come on Scott,
Read the other posts. I was merely giving eyes the same treatment she gave me. I was mocking her. Get it?

          • Foolpatrol

            Hey DaveH,

Hate speech? Didn’t right wingers, egged on by Sarah ‘give me free, it’s not my fault’ Palin imply that our President is complicit in terrorism because he sat on a board with a person accused but never convicted of domestic terrorism when he was eight years old? So why doesn’t the same standard apply to First Pimp?

Remember “palling around with terrorists”? Oh, right, the maverick now says that statement was scripted by the McSame campaign. It’s not her fault, right?

          • Scott Brown

DaveH: Why do I get the feeling she knows whereof she speaks and you’re slinging bulldooky? (I also get the feeling she can handle it, but heck, just felt like jumping in.)

Palin is, to my way of thinking, a sickening aspect of an establishment plan which has been screwing us over for years, forcing us into absurd conversations such as this. Palin has no idea she’s being used (thinks she’s using us) and will be discarded the moment the PTB (Powers That Be) no longer find her useful.

She’s not the enemy, she’s a future waste product the PTB have selected for us to waste our time on. I choose to spend some time on her because she’s a bizarre case in point. Every political figure these days is chosen for this same reason, but she’s a little more colorful than most.

She’s also, frighteningly, a barometer of public opinion. Would you put the freaky woman who jabbers nonsense at the PTA and over your back fence into the Oval Office once inhabited by Jefferson and Jackson?

When a large enough percentage of the dumbed-down American populace says yes to that question, we’re getting to Game Over time by PTB reckoning, and a lot of us better start getting out the gun oil. It gets pretty unpretty from here. Imagine her sitting down with the Chinese and Russians, telling them what she can see from her front porch.

They will eat her lunch. Then her for lunch. Then our lunch. Then us for lunch.

          • eyeswideopen

wOW, how could you jump to that conclusion? I was merely stating the facts of the allignment and what happened to the founder. Unbelievable.

      • Lindy

Uh… I believe Mr. Sarah Palin joined the Alaskan Independence Party while George Bush was is power.

    • DaveH

      eyes,
Your ancestors were forced into slavery by evil people. You are willingly letting your freedom be taken away. Shame on you.

      • eyeswideopen

I hate to think that you are implying that I am black, sorry to inform you, redhead from Ireland/England…but you just showed how bigoted you are. I am using my freedom, to call out members of my own party when they are violating our Christian ethics and morals, by using hateful lies and hoping that the Christian faith ministers, preachers, etc, get more involved by calling on us to stop the insanity of hateful language.

        • DaveH

          Sorry Eyes,
But you have shown with your words that you are the bigot.

          • eyeswideopen

Did you even read what you wrote about my ancestors?? You are assuming that since I have the nerve to call my fellow Republicans on the carpet for name calling and hateful statements that I must be black…I am very glad you aren’t a memeber of this party.

          • DaveH

            eyes,
It was not a difficult assumption, since you constantly accuse people who don’t agree with you of being racist, or bigots, or practicing hate speech. You certainly don’t sound like any Republican I’ve ever known.

          • DaveH

And I am glad I’m not a member of your Republican party (if that really is your party). They are not much different than the Democrats. They lost their way 20 years ago. Now the two parties might have different agendas, but they both are growing government year after year, and sucking our freedom away in the process.

          • DaveH

            Eyes,
The party I belong to doesn’t micromanage other peoples’ lives. We don’t use government as our bully boys to save people from themselves, or take their money away for their own good. We recognize that freedom brings the best out in people; just as leaving the home transforms most rebellious teens into responsible adults when they are no longer propped up by their parents. We respect peoples’ ownership of their bodies and their property.

          • eyeswideopen

Nope, not the typical Repub, voted for Ross Perot in 92. Ron Paul in 1988. I am truly a Repub with an open mind and don’t vote a straight party ticket.

          • eyeswideopen

This site has a statement that people will not call each other names, I see that you just called me a bigot. I look forward to your apology.

      • Scott Brown

Well, I’m Scots-Irish, sixty years old, living in New Mexico with a wolf-dog and a Winchester. Studied a little history. You know how many Scots-Irish came over here indentured? So, you’re right. A lot of us were slaves of various colors. But not anymore. So we don’t have to listen to a bunch of mentally mangled shit from a beauty queen whose husband wants to ride a dogsled and secede from the Union. Do I have a problem with it? Nope, go for it Alaska, and I think Vermont should, too, and Texas anytime it wants (don’t listen to the political naysayers, you’ve still every right, and enough population and resources to outstrip most countries). I might well move to one of them, and Tejas is just a three-mile drive, love the country and the history. But I think the Palins should be judged on their own merits, of which I feel they have few: he ain’t Sam Houston and she ain’t Betsy Ross.

This is not American Idol, this is America.

We deserve better. (If you disagree, then we deserve no better.)

Get real, people. Follow real people. Find an Austin, a Houston, a Jackson, a Crockett, a Bowie (he was a scoundrel, but a better class of American than most, these days). Not Palin.

        • DaveH

          Scott,
The problem is that there is so much chaff that it’s hard to know who the candidates really are. That’s why we need to quit putting our lives in the hands of ordinary humans and get back to the individual responsibility and freedom that our forefathers established for us.

          • Scott Brown

            DaveH:

If I was making a point, perhaps you’re missing it, or one of us misspoke. Nobody establishes individual freedom and responsibility for another, for anyone. I’m sorry, the phrase makes no sense. Either you assume it or you don’t. It is a state of being which you assume: Free, responsible.

            Or not.

No one can give it to you. No one gave it to Travis at the Alamo or Jackson when he faced down the European central bankers who tried to kill him. No one gave it to the Founding Fathers when they risked hanging (they were saying they were free, not you: they were saying you have the “right” to be free). No one gives it to a teenager leaving home or a citizen-patriot with a molotov cocktail confronting an enemy tank. One takes freedom and responsibility, or one does not.

I feel, I believe, too many Americans have not chosen the path of freedom and responsibility. I believe this puts many more of us in peril, because we’re surrounded by unfree people we cannot rely upon.

But, that’s life in the freedom and responsibility biz.

          • DaveH

            Scott,
You seem to relish attacking whatever I say. When I said “ordinary humans”, I was talking about politicians. They can’t solve all of our problems. We need to get back to the roots of this country which were limited government and individual responsibility. Big Government is the problem, not the solution.
If you can’t offer a positive solution to our problems, please don’t bore me with another of your negative responses.

        • eyeswideopen

I lived on a radar site, close to Moriarity (sp)in the mountains behind Albuquerque, and then another radar site, called west mesa. I still recall the beauty. It’s where I shot my first gun. Killed my first snake, and kissed my first boy. Land of Enchantment for sure!!!!

          • PATTI KRUGER

I’ve read enough of all your verbalized opinions. And that’s just what they are, OPINIONS! Everyone in America has the RIGHT to their opinion.
I do believe you all are side-stepping the actuallity of what’s happening to our contry. The liberals are quietly, and not so quietly, consuming big businesses, closing small businesses (unless they accept a buy-out from the Gov’t) and trying for Gov’t Health Care. If that doesn’t work to their satisfaction, they will go after the insurance companies, which will be their back door to the Health Care issue. Obama has even stated in the papers that, “He will not back down” on the Health Care issue. He’ll somehow force it down our throats if we conservatives give in.
Don’t you see, Obama and his “Czar”s are in the process of taking control a America and he will become the Dictator! Look at the back grounds of his cabinet members! Also, according to the Constitution, it’s ILLEGAL to give titles of nobility to the people serving US! WE ARE THEY’RE EMPLOYEES, WHICH THEY DON’T SEEM TO UNDERSTAND. A “Czar” is a Russion title of nobility. It’s not even American!
I don’t want my life controlled by anyone, especially the gov’t!
Ask your senators and congressmen what will happen to their relatives and friends who cannot have the gov’t “insurance” policy the President and they have? The friends and relatives of theirs will get old too. Do they want to see them suffer for lack of decent health care?
AND THE WHOLE DARN IDEA IS WAY TOO EXPENSIVE, FOR THE American People, as well as the Gov’t, yet Obama spends money faster than the printers can print it. He buys 3 planes for their constituants with OUR TAX DOLLARS!!!!!!!! Obama doesn’t know the first thing about finances and his advisors are just as dumb.
Sarah Palin is the only honest person who told the truth and wasn’t afraid of the truth. The liberals might as well have burned her at the stake for all the grief and lies she had to bear. You don’t attack a candidate’s family. It seemed to be o.k. for Obama to bring his wife and kids on his campaigns. Who’s calling the kettle black now?
And why is he negotiating with Cuba (a COMMUNIST Country)for off-shore drilling, when we have so much here in the U.S.? Doesn’t that sound un-american to you?
We’ve been pleading to use off-shore drilling here. First Obama says no off-shore drilling at all in his campaign, now he’s for it, but not in our own country! I could go on and on about the campaign promises he’s turn around and changed. Have you ever lived under a Dictatorship? I don’t want to experience it!!!!! The ones who have, didn’t like it at all!
Wanting to be free in our America,
            Patti

          • eyeswideopen

So nice that you want off shore drilling. but here in Fl, most of us don’t. We have a beautiful state with shoreline that we take pride in. Don’t really want to be like Texas with their dirty ugly beaches. Sorry, but if you ever visit here, maybe you will be happy that we preserved it for you and your family.

        • Richard Pawley

Amazing that so many are terrified of Sarah Palin, someone who is not an elitist nor from inside the Washington beltway. Great men and women are not born that way, they are made. She is not great yet but I believe she has the capability of becoming so. Andrew Jackson comes to mind. Palin must be doing something right to create all this emotion! Sorry but I think it’s time we had a non-lawyer, non-senator, try to straighten out the mess the country is in. Three years ago I warned about the coming Depression and told those who read my autobiography to sell their stocks and pay off their homes and if they had any money to buy some gold (then $600 – it is now over $900 and on it’s way higher)and what I called “The Greater Depression” has barely begun. I know a little bit about writing but not about how to promote a book on a shoestring budget. It’s not funny but so few don’t realize that we have forcefully changed our Republic into what amounts to a democracy and none of them have done well in the long run. It is why the Constitution gave us two houses in Congress, one elected and one appointed but we changed that a century ago so now both houses are elected and defeating the purpose of even having two houses (accept for the fact that it slows down the bankruptcy of the United States with all their outrageous spending which is the cause of the inflation we have had and will have). All I can recommend for believers is that they pray for individual guidance like our founding fathers did and that they get ready for a change greater than the War Between the States. This isn’t necessarily bad, IF YOU BEGIN TO PREPARE FOR IT, but it IS inevitable in a country that owes more money than any in the history of the world and continues to borrow more with no plan nor intention of paying it back($197 Billion more is scheduled to be borrowed next week alone – August 24 to August 27). You can verify this by going to http://www.treasurydirect.gov/instit/annceresult/press/press_secannpr.htm – and you can log onto http://www.barnesandnoble.com – click on books – and then my name, and when my book on where we are headed and why comes up, click on the MORE for a synopsis. There are many excellent books out there but you don’t need a book to prepare. You do need Common Sense and we Americans seem to have lost much of that. In any event, for what it’s worth, and that’s a lot less than it used to be, write a letter to your Senator to their home in your state, and let them know your opinion on all the outrageous spending they are doing. Make it nice and don’t call them names so they will listen to you. Most of all believers can pray and get ready in a few years for skyrocketing food prices and shortages and $1600 dollar gold (which you can’t eat by the way) and more than I can tell in an email. Remember IGNORANCE IS NOT BLISS and wasn’t it Mark Twain who once said, “No man’s money is safe when Congress is in session!”

    • Mike

You ARE a blind corpes, go join Michael Jackson as your mind deteroirates!

    • Scott Brown

Eyeswideopen? Exactly right. You are one of the few who’ve not been conned. Thank you for expressing this. It’s been driving me nuts that so few Republicans see it. They “get” the Obamacon, why don’t they see the Palincon? Why not the Entire Con? We (the American people) are being played for fools, and what pisses me off more than anything is how few seem to see it. They (we) actually believe there are Party issues? Both parties are owned by the same people. Now they want us to believe Sarah Palin is a whole new flavor? They brought her in to ensure Obama’s election (if any reader here doesn’t follow, don’t try anymore, go back to your favorite MSM news station). I think the Eyes have it.

      • Richard Pawley

I don’t disagree that both parties are more similar than different (proven by when the FED said “Jump” they both rushed to Washington and gave the FED all the monies they wanted last year, but it seems to me that without Sarah Palin our current president would have won by a wider margin than he did. I really don’t see how you can compare a “down home country” girl (or in this case woman) to all the Washington insiders, elitists who are absolutely convinced that they know better than the common man what is best for us. She may not know all the useless facts that a Harvard and Yale lawyer knows but I’ll bet she knows how to find the answer if she needs it. Maybe she won’t run for President in 2012 but I have a hunch both parties are terrified of the prospect because she will not be as controllable most. Like her or hate her, she is independent and that is something few in Washington are, no matter what they say. However, just as no one can stop a Tsunami so no one can stop the 500 year cycle the world has entered. Neither the world nor the United States will be the same when it is over. Obama is simply the one who will be blamed for spending the USA to death but it is Congress who votes for all that is spent. As I said in my latest book, “The Last Days of The Late Great United States” we will all know this by next year, and the time to prepare is NOW. All that we have known and taken for granted is about to change. It is not hopeless and it is not the end of the world but if you wait to see what is going to happen it will be to late for you personally. May God help us because no one else is going to do so.

        • BP72

The corruption in our government mindboggeling. From GE to ACORN to the leftest media. Our representatives only care about filling their pockets and getting vote and for that they’ll sell us down the river. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want the government telling us how to live any more than they already do. The trouble with so many Americans, they don’t know what’s happening right under their noses. All they want is the government to give them everything. Sarah Palin ran on less government, less corruption and American freedom. Don’t call me republican or democrat, I want someone as our leader who believes in these same things. B.O’s background tells all about him and his wife. “Culture of Corruption” will open those eyes that aren’t already open after reading it.

    • Scott Brown

“The fact that she could have run the country…” what scared the crap out of us was that we knew on her best day she could not…run anything. What further scared the crap out of us was she apparently believed she could. What even further scares the crap out of some of us is that others around us believe she’s qualified to do so. Seriously, the woman doesn’t read, watch the news, or have a concept of how she’s perceived by most of the world (which, frankly, is as an utter ditz). Bush was an embarassment (as was his father), Palin would be so much worse, we lack words. I was raised by TV to believe that talking horses and Martians could be smart enough to be president, so I’ve no problem with women presidents or black presidents or Catholics or Muslims or Jews or whatever…I assume if they got that high up in the American system they can function as your basic liar president (I’ve my doubts, always have various doubts). But beauty pageant flutists who tried to secede from the US and belong to flaky African witch-craft religions (I’m sure there are some good ones) and come from one of the least and last influential states in the Union, a person with a history of obvious and provable corruption, they stretch my imagination as notably qualified US Vice-Presidential candidates. Especially when it’s obvious they were brought on board by the PTB (Powers That Be) to lose the Republican election. Or did you not figure out that part of the last election, people. You’ve been conned, kids. I’m afraid you fell right into that. And you know, it didn’t matter, you got the same PTB government. Go right ahead, vote for her next time, different theater entertainment, same government. Been seeing it for half a century. We’ll all die seeing it. Vote your ass off, for the PTB.

      • DaveH

        Scott,
No government can exist without the consent of the masses (whether it be informed consent or not). Given that, what do you propose for a solution to our problem?

    • Foolpatrol

Wow! Does this mean that First Dude is “palling around with terrorists”? Or, that he is a terrorist? And all this time I thought that he was just an uneducated, unemployed, snow mobile racing, Pimp!

Great gig if you can get it. Free clothes, gifts galore, snow machine discounts and free vacations paid for by the good citizens of the State of Alaska.

The fruits of Pimping have risen to a new level. Sarah ‘give me free, it’s not my fault’ Palin was/is running and for the first time in his adult life, First Pimp is really proud to be an American. No more secession for our boy!

      • BP72

Remember, all the name calling and ridiculing of a person just makes YOU look small. I don’t care who the person is, the vicious attacks that the Palin’s endured were uncalled for. Any time a citizen of America can’t point out their views, no matter what they are, is a sad day in our country.

        • Foolpatrol

” Any time a citizen of America can’t point out their views, no matter what they are, is a sad day in our country.”

Agreed, except they’re not Sarah’s views. She doesn’t appear to have any views except what she is spoon fed. Haven’t you heard? She flip-flopped! It’s wasn’t her fault! Never is. “Palling around with terrorists” was scripted by the McSame campaign, the Maverick said.

It was just Sarah ‘give me free’s’ irresponsible attempt to inflame the base with lies and half truths resulting in increased danger to then candidate Obama. You are right about this too. It made her look small [and stupid].

    • Willis Durbin

Well I suppose you are a democrat in covert mode… I do not believe a word you wrote… your eyes are not wide open but very closed….

    • Marlene Stratton

And having Obama in there doesn’t “scare the crap out of” you??? He’s not even an American! He should be tried for treason and exiled back to Kenya where he belongs, along with Pelosi and all the rest who went along with his treasonous schemes!
We need to have an entirely new election, and get our heads out of the sand so that we can vote intelligently.

      • Normal Guy

        You are funny.

You quote nothing but Fox talking points. Accept it Obama is American, he is doing a great job, the country, though damaged and bankrupted by Bush and the Neo-Cons, will recover.

The USA will actually need to interact with the world out there, Obama seems to get it. The narrow Fox talking points are a joke, unfortunately the generally uninformed and gullible accept any unchallenged statement to be fact. There is going to be inflation, so what, it is part of the economic model that we have lived with since the start of capitalism. The system adjusts and anyone with a brain knows that you plan investments and business to compensate. Inflation will in fact help absorb the debt which before Obama stood at ten trillion and the economy was in freefall.

Sarah Palin hopefully will run, it will assure a republican loss.

        • American Citizen

You say, “We are going to have inflation, so what?” How old are you? As if enough jobs have not been lost, analysts expect a million more if Obama’s plans go through.

When a state or city government does not have enough money, what do they do? They cut services. In medicine, that’s called rationing. I hope you don’t get sick because Obama’s plan only works if you are not.

          • Normal Guy

Learn something look it up for yourself, inflation does not equate to job losses, it will be somewhat disruptive but unemployment is not the issue, erosion of fixed income purchasing power is a problem. Uneven adjustment of sectors of the economy – inflation is a solution to debt; a rising tide lifts all ships. Check it out for yourself.

In regard to the economy, the meltdown triggered by the Neo-Con wrecking crew has forced not only the US but every nation in the world into massive stimulus spending; the problem was on the table before Obama was elected. The solution is not his, it is global.

In regard to health insurance the US is pitiful, without universal health anyone who gets laid off has no insurance and the state has to pay for them anyhow. The expense with none of the efficiencies Americans should not be bankrupted due to illness.

    • American Citizen

What kind of mother takes her children out of school to go on the campaign trail? A mother who wants to stay close to her children, a mother who is nursing her baby, a mother who hires a tutor to go with them. In other words, the kind of mother this country needs more of.

      • Smilee

A nursing baby is not in school

      • eyeswideopen

Since my bbf is a Dr. let me explain that every time she took that baby up in the plane, he needed to pop or clear his ears, to prevent damage. Usually you donn’t feed your baby so they will suckle either the bottle or breast. As often as they flew and with such short flights you can’t get me to believe that baby wasn’t suffering. That child was not hungry everytime they flew!!! In addition the medical community recommends not flying very often with babies, because they can’t chew gum or pop their ears. It builds up enough pressure that it will cause damage. Because that baby already has problems, they really didn’t care, or they wouldn’t have made him fly so much.

    • http://donthaveone Beberoni

She has more intelligence than 99 percent of the women in this country. She opened her mouth and America came out of it. McCains mistake was not bringing her in a year earlier, and the Republicans mistake, was not making it a Palin/McCain ticket instead of McCain/Palin. Thats the reason they lost dude. Nobody wanted a 150 year old man as president. They lost the whole youth vote, and most of the women vote, because women generally vote for the younger man, its a fact. I would have to believe, that most of them would have voted for the woman, whether they admitted to it before the election or not. Dont under estimate the power of womens unity. When a woman runs, she is going to win, unless she is Hillary, because not too many people trust a Clinton anymore. But you are way off base with your comments. When she spoke, I was being talked to, not talked at, as most of them do. I recognized that, as did most Americans. Maybe I just can recognize good when I see it.

  • 1LTLos56

Just how often do Conservative points of view get printed in any paper or are talked about objectively on the news. Palin is a smart woman and if she forgot why she entered into public office then you are a multi-millionaire! She lit up the scene with her genuine qualities and bouyant attributes that far outshone both McCains and especially that nimrod ombama. Problem with American society is that they are infants forgetting first that Freedom is not free, your liberties are hours away from being weakened by the ever sickening Congress’s embracing of Socialist ideologies and nationalizing of Free markets! Why wait for Sarah to “regain” her mind? That is an insipid, lazy and uninformed remark. Or Garth, did you have special audience and morning coffee with her today? What the H— do you know except maybe your uniformed opinion. People who are the most helpful need our support and those who are the most damaging such as the 111th congress and obumsteer, need power and simply take it! From you and from me – Sarah has always had her mind. You are the one that has to wake up and get off your tail! Can you not see the struggle that lies ahead of us all? This country is in real trouble! Why? Ask a few of your closest buddles whom they voted for – thats who! I and men like me tried to warn you in 2007! The Kenyan and the leftist Demos are dismantling our freedoms as we sleep and speak- Anyone with the guts – no matter what they are capable of – to work against the Democrats has got my support. Sarah Palin was held back by McCain in case you didnt realize that.

    • Mike

100% Agree with concerned in San Antonio, Dems are nothing short of liers and power mongers. We will see. they have the votes to take us down (for now) awake the sleeping giant they will. Go Sarah, we are behind you and will continue to be so!

    • Foolpatrol

“Sarah Palin was held back by McCain… .”

Thank God McSame did something right!

    • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Thank you, you said it much better than I did. Sarah is a credit to any politician Ive ever seen. His statements were way way off. I dont know if the crack he was smoking kicked in or what, but he was out there. The lady is brilliant, intelligent, warm, speaks from the heart. I hear America when she speaks. I see God and family in her. I see someone who actually represents those she is elected to represent. You dont see that much anymore. And one extra icing on the cake, she is pretty as a fiddle. Ill vote for her, and many of us menfolk that dont have no masculinity problem will vote for her also.

  • John

It is inconcievable to me that any true conservative could find fault with Sarah Palin. She has been so villified by the Left! Those of you who think poorly of her are either fake conservatives or easily duped by modern Psychological Warfare Techniques. Villify, villify some of it will always stick!

    • in ohio

Are you confused? Palin has lied about even the smallest of things. She is vilified for being an unrepentent liar. It is not ONLY the left who can see straight through her.

You may live in a world where truth isn’t important. But in my neighborhood, no one does business with a liar, let alone elects them to lead something.

      • http://yahoo Skeeter

Then i guess that why OBAMA nose keep growing?

Well if she is a liar, then you sir, yeah you without sin, you throw the first stone. Because you have just revealed yourself to be a weak little pacifist appeasing pants wetting democrat. Sarah is being attacked by the lefty dems and the moderate republicans. So why is that! Because she is so dump and nobody cares about her? So,why does she get so much heat from these groups. Would we not just forget her if she was what they claims she is.

It is because she is the only politician I know who went after her own parties corruption and her states biggest lobbyist and made them tow the line.
We can trust her because she is not one of you over educated , we know better than you crowd. She is real!

Keep up the attacks because we are gaining in numbers and will not forget what you have done when we are in 2010.

Another senior citizen who has seen the light! Thanks Sarah for showing us there are good moral Americans left!

    • Foolpatrol

“… she [Sarah 'give me free, it's not my fault, I was for Death Panels before I was against em' Palin] is not one of you over educated.”

No truer statement has ever been made!

    • BP72

I agree with you Kevin, they are scared to death of her beliefs, that is why they attack her. Our representatives are not working for the citizens, just themselves. She didn’t do that in Alaska.

      • Foolpatrol

Sarah ‘give me free’ didn’t do much of anything in Alaska. High drop out rates, high rates of unemployment and uninsured Alaskans. High crime rates. Highest gasoline and heating oil prices in the United States [drill baby, drill?]. Hundreds of disabled and elderly died waiting for services administered by state government. Starvation and freezing in the Alaskan Territories. Wal-Mart, the state’s second largest employer; low pay and few benefits. More US tax dollars via earmarks to Alaskans per captia.

Abuse of power in Troopergate. Gifts, free clothes, free family vacations, cash for sleeping in her own bed and secret snow machine deals. For ‘Death Panels’ before she was against them! Communicating like a babbling idiot. Lack of basic English and Geography skills. Poor parenting as evidenced by unsupervised, under age drinking, gang sign making, sexually active, shacked up, wayward kids involved in criminal activity. Take the mote out of your own eye, Sarah!

Yea, Democrats are really scared of Sarah! LOL

        • http://donthaveone Beberoni

You sir, need to either put down the crack pipe, or get some help, because your post is so full of lies, I would have thought Bill Clinton, the best liar in the world wrote it. You mistate facts, and arent even close. The states budget was balance, and the people were given money back. Their energy costs were lower. Lets compare apples to apples you democrat. Lets do it. 3 States. Republican run Alaska, balanced budget, clean, family, beautiful. New York – democrat run, highest taxes in the country. Polluted to high heaven. Crime rate, sky high. State near bankruptcy. Gangs everywhere. California – democrat run, even though Arnold isnt one, he really is. Bankrupt – illegal aliens everywhere. Polluted almost beyond repair. Gangs everywhere. English a second language. Yep, those democrats are doing a great job. Me, If I were to move to one of these states, hey, head north, to Alaska. No doubt about it. So crawl back into your little false world of lies, and try to accuse her, but your not able to. You bring nothing viable to the table, just your opinion and lies.

          • eyeswideopen

What helps the Alaskians is the $3,000.00 they get from the Federal government every new year…. Yes, us tax payers are so lucky to be under writting the government handouts to the citizens of Mrs. Palin’s state….Oh, I think we also paid for the Alaskian Pipeline a couple of years back and we don’t get a dime for our tax dollars….isn’t that just great?

    • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Because when your good, people talk about you. Oh Sarah, they are talking. Keep up the good work.

  • Mary Schendel

Sarah Palin has commmon sense and God forbid we have anyone in politics that has common sense. CNN who listens to them? Mary

Sarah Palin will have no problem beating dumbo Obama, You Demo-Rats are so jealous of her you are like Cris Mattews who pee all over himself every time he gets near Obama he said quote I get a tingle down my leg every time I see and hear Obama. Obama said today that washington Dc. was a wee wee city he has seen so many Demo-Rats pee all over themself like a bitch dog does when it is nervous around people. That is how Obama supporters do when they see and hear him, it just make them so nervous they just pee all over themself. Obama is right about that.

Another fine example of the type that are attracted to the bright shiny trinket that is called Palin.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

All the millions of us that are electing her in 2012. Too bad the republicans tried to run 150 year old John McCain as the front runner in 2008, or that would have been a different story.

    • Smilee

If I remember right she has already lost to Obama

  • Eddie Gianola

I’m dead tired of the constant attacks on such a fine American as Sarah Palin. She lit the stage up at the Republican Convention and continued on to drawing crowds everywhere she went. McCain’s jealous stupid staff sequestered her and we ended up with crap in the White House and Congress as well as the scum for Cabinet members. Given all that, why is Sarah allegedly dropping in the polls? I doubt she is and when she’s ready to toss the hat in the ring, she’ll be handing plenty of people their ass,you betcha! She jumped ship from the guv’s job to do her homework because it’s not too early to prep. Sarah is a lot smarter than given credit for and all you bozo alleged Republicans who believe the media and fall in lockstep to villify her,are in good company with Obamacrats and elected RINOS. Shame on you. Go join the Democrats or go live in Cuba where you’ll be happier.
Palin 2012 all the way baby! You betcha!

Sarah is a bright shiny trinket no different than Micheal Jackson was… yes they draw crowds, but neither can/could run their own life let alone a large group.

Remember that your bright shiny trinket couldn’t handle running a state with NO income taxes with only 600,000 people in it. Lets first see her run something like a real city with taxes and land development issues (sorry, handing everything over to big oil doesn’t count as managing development)… before she tries for anything larger.

      • eyeswideopen

        Exactly!

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

So if this is true, then why was Alaska just one of a handful of States that balance their budget, and the only state that actually gave money back to its citizens? Hmm, I guess someone just got caught in a lie.

        • Smilee

Oil, MY man OIL, same thing happened in ND, of course oil companies did not like her much, but she did manage to tax them so highly she was able to rebate , I think it was a $1000 to each taxpayer

  • mercy Bowers

You are going to buy into a CNN poll?
We conservatives still love her because she tells it like it is!!!

  • http://firefox Bobby

Sarah will have my vote without question as long as she upholds the standards she has shown. The stupid left wing media and all their rhetoric has caused much of the problems we face today. This lady tells more truth in one sentence than the scared left has within their entire souls.

    • Richard Pawley

True! I got a good laugh over this one and we all need a good laugh or we will end up crying over what “our” Congress has done and is doing to us!

      • Richard Pawley

You are repeating your self! You said exactly the same thing several replies ago. Nearly 40 years ago I knew an eighth grade drop-out and he had earned a hundred million dollars back then when that was a lot of money. One of the things I remember him telling me was that there has never been a statue raised to a critic but there have been many statues raised to those that are being criticized. I also know someone who voted against John McCain because they thought his beauiful wife was too aggressive, didn’t know her place. Perhaps some can’t stand the idea that someday a woman might be president of these not-so-United States. Considering what men have done to this country in the past century there is no way that a woman could do any worse, even blindfolded. I haven’t voted in years, but I’d vote for Sarah Palin. In my new book, written as if we were in they year 2025 and looking back at what happened to the United States, what caused it’s demise and the death of the dollar, I mention Sarah Palin’s presidency begining in 2012, but that even she couldn’t stem all the corruption in Washington. These really are the last days – not of the world – but of the United States as we have known and loved her. Ignore this fact at your own peril. Prepare for it and you might survive. I am convinced that after the next stock market crash and/or before the next presidential election almost all are going to know this. If you wait and see it will be to late to prepare. May God help us all, because the government certainly isn’t going to be able to do so!

In the meantime, can you please find a way to get rid of the real Present Danger, Nancy Pelosi, who manages to make everyone else look moderate.

  • gwinf

And we are supposed to believe a CNN poll why?????
Admittedly Sarah has made some blunders, as have we all. Do we want a false, made-up, profit or can we forgive an occassional error? Sarah is not perfect and may not be the right candidate for President, but as we have finally discovered, neither was or is Obama!

    • DaveH

      gwinf,
I think that’s part of our problem. The voters want saints and of course that’s impossible, so they end up electing liars representing themselves as saints.

      • in ohio

By “liars representing themselves as saints” I hope you realize that is exactly what Palin is

        • DaveH

          In Ohio,
I was talking about any politician. They are all just human. The honest ones don’t stand a chance because the voters are looking for a super-human, so the liars tend to be the ones who get elected.
I don’t know enough about Sarah to judge her. I do know that government is a much bigger part of my life than I want it to be. I would only be willing voluntarily to pay for 50% (or less) of our current government.

          • eyeswideopen

We aren’t looking for super human officals, we just want them to adhere to the values that Christian Republican expect. Honesty, integrity, ethics, honoring their marriage vows, not being sexually perverted (child molestation), you know the normal everyday virtues that we teach our children. Instead what we have gotten is 95 Republicans, either in office, or members of Family value organizations, campagin mgrs, and preachers who have been involved in sexual scandals since 1999. From 1980 to 1999, there were only 18 instances. My friend in Europe made that statement to me,I didn’t believe it, so I just entered Sex scandals and then viewed 10 differnt sites, which gives the names of all who are quilty. This is why so many view us as hypocrites.. will be back with info on the Democrat’s, who aren’t perfect either, but don’t have as high numbers. Have to feed the Husband.

Sarah is just very real. She does not apply any spin or Washington rhetoric to her message. She maintains her integrity throughout all the media attacks and has continued to serve us away from her political post. She did not run away from the critics when her own unmarried teenage daughter became pregnant, though she was continually criticized she has proven that her heart is in her family first and this great country second. She did not send her daughter away to some out of site boarding school or rush her to the abortion table…she faced the fact that this too was a part of life and she embraced this challenge with a positive, honest and loving attitude that the family could rally together around. How dishonest so many of these fatcats and politicians are that rail against her or against others that have had simular indescretions even in their 30′s, 40′s, 50′s etc. How about all the married politicats that can’t even spell faithful and even when caught in the act continue to lie in an attempt to decieve the public. Hipocrits! Sarah is a fresh hope of what we would like our leadership to be, not polished up with pixie dust or cleverly disguised by smoke and mirrors. She brings a powerful message that even a mom can make a difference in our policies and outcomes. She is not pre-packaged with a teleprompter and ambitions to be our Messiah.I salute her and hope she will continue to interject herself in the political soup so that we can finally effect real change. The kind that will lead to more real jobs, less government intervention, saved liberties, balanced budgets and basic common sense.

    • Rich

Wow, is all I can say. You did nor endorse her politics or views but her as a person and did it quite eloquently. i salute you and your style and hope people like you continue to shape my writing an beliefs.

    • American Citizen

You’re right, the political soup needs stirring with a great big spoon. Add some salt that hasn’t lost its flavor and a little pepper to spice it up. Start with a good cook who know just the right amount to add. Then add the guests (we voters) who know good soup when they taste it.

Are you actuall implying CNN has any credibality left? What little credibality they had after Glenn Beck left, disappeared when they yanked Lou Dobbs

  • Rob Tresun

I didn’t even read past the part about it being a CNN poll. Although anything is possible, I wouldn’t hold my breath on CNN’s word. The left wing loons at CNN think of Ms. Palin about like they think/thought of Mr. Bush. She could rescue 24 out of 25 handicapped people out of a burning building & the headline would read, “Sarah Palin Allows Handicapped Person To Die In Fire”. The 24 who she rescued would be lost in the CNN “smoke”.

  • William Conner

She & Family were targeted for disgrace from the moment she was selected to be the candidate for Vice President, by newsmediam (Democratic),and of course comedians, she acted like an average person, not a politician, which angered both political parties, Republican Party tried to make her conform to their standards, she did not, so the idiots in charge began to discredit her also. She is better off for dpopping out. She is to honest to be a GOOD politician. I personally never met her, nor care to met her. She would be better than the lady presently filling that position Sara sought.

  • DaveH

Whether Sarah is the answer or not, we need to place much more of our attention on Congress. They are responsible for passing the laws that has swelled our government dramatically in the last 100 years. We need to put less emphasis on the President and more emphasis on the people we elect to Congress.

    • Richard Pawley

Amen! Amen! Amen! Go back a ways and see what I just wrote.

    • eyeswideopen

Succinctly stated. Bravo!!! Here’s some food for thought. It really doesn’t matter who is President, it is the Congress who rules. In mordern political history, the Congress and the Pres. are at odds;that is most of the time the same political party does not control the White House, the Senate, and the House. Only 10 times (20years) since 1945 have both branches of Congress and the Presidency been controlled by the same party. Most of the time, Congress has been controlled by the same party. The “odd man out” has literally been the President. Since 1945, the House and Senate have been controlled by different parties only five times(10years).There have been only two complete turn-overs since 1945, one in 1949 and the other in 2007.

Sarah Palin is the perfect hero for this thread – Dim, narrow-minded, simplistic, opinionated about issues of which they are grossly misinformed. She is the perfect puppet tool to lead the propagandized zombies of Fox News and the extreme right into the brave new world. The same strategy used to elect puppet Bush, the same strategy used by the Nazi’s in the 30′s to convince the Germans that they were the chosen “master race”. Karl Rove = Joseph Goebbels

Tell people what they want to hear. Focus hatred on a specific group or initiative; convince them that it is in the interest of the “Homeland” – that they are destined to be the masters of the world. Launch “Brown Shirts” into the community to intimidate the regular citizens, focus all attention on narrow talking points and lie, lie lie… Its way easier to make stuff up than it is to present rational arguments I mean come on – Death Panels – get real.

Dangerous stuff! Fortunately the majority of Americans are above this. Unfortunately there is an extreme fringe – militia, KKK, Neo-Cons, the supporters of the current extreme right, who are blind paranoid followers that are capable of heinous acts that could permanently derail this great country.

    • http://donthaveone Beberoni

    • Foolpatrol

Yep, Libs are just leaking jello because of Sarah ‘give me free’ Palin.

Just look at her record in Alaska.

      Afraid and leaking jello! LOL

Mrs. Palin is the only politician in the past election that anyone could respect. She has more respect for the people of the United States than most and is more willing to work for the people instead of wanting to control the people. We need her and more like her. God Bless America.

I respect Sarah Palin for her honesty. I do not agree with all of her political ideas. I will enjoy watching her grow into a politician that we may be able to trust. If she signs up with the good old boys in D.C. and she loses her way and becomes corrupt like 90% of the House, then I’ll be disappointed. So I wish her much luck in seeing the Big Picture and not just the USD in her wallet.

  • DaveH

I think of the government like I think of insurance. And I’m not talking just about health insurance, rather about any kind of insurance. With both a private insurer and government it costs us money to protect us from calamities. We all have different levels of risk tolerance. Some of us would prefer only catastrophic insurance or even none at all. Other more risk-averse people would prefer much more coverage. That extra coverage comes at a cost because we are including a paid-middleman to protect us from relatively routine occurrences. Some of us would rather pay for the routine events out of our own pockets, if and when they occur, and save the money that would have gone to the middleman. The only way the insurers can make money is for the payouts to be less than the paid premiums. So, in other words, odds are that you probably aren’t going to suffer enough misfortune to get as much back as you pay in, especially if you make a great effort to prevent that misfortune.
In the case of insurance the choice is voluntary, but in the case of government it is involuntary as we are forced to go along with whatever choice is made by our elected leaders.
I submit that we would be much better off with less government, and more private insurance, so the risk-tolerant citizens could save money, and the risk-averse citizens could feel more secure but at their own cost.

    • Normal Guy

What are you talking about? The government is like insurance??

Try again, how about the economy is like a lemonade stand, or the stock market is like computer industry and obeys Moore’s law. Rubbish.

The premise is silly so your submission is ridiculous. The government is not here to “protect us from calamities”, the roots of your paranoia are showing, the government is here to provide a stable environment in which we can all flourish, it is here to serve us as we decide what we want. The way we give them authority is through democratic elections, the majority rules; this system has created the greatest prosperity in human history. The government’s responsibilities encompass defence, transportation, legal systems, public safety etc, etc. It is nothing like insurance.

This is the problem with so many of the opinions on this thread. You take a ridiculous incorrect premise and then extrapolate a myriad of conclusions that are absolutely ridiculous. GIGO – Garbage In Garbage Out

      • DaveH

Your response was “ridiculous”. It was a metaphor. I didn’t mean it literally. The point was many people don’t need or want many of the protections that government offers. Those protections should best be left to the private sector and voluntary choice. And before you next attack, I don’t mean “all”. As I said in the previous sentence “many”.

        • Normal Guy

The USA works, it has worked brilliantly for 230 years. You and the other individuals voicing their opinions here seem to buy into a very narrow world view that this economy and government can function according to libertarianism, a completely unproven, ill conceived concept of government. Anarchy is simplicity, it is simple minded, the world is complex and tightly interconnected, to function regulations and structure must exist, systems must exist so that the economy functions efficiently. The free hand will not function in a highly technological society.

Regarding health care and economic growth – technology is generating tremendous new options, they are expensive, they are complex and this is why health cost have grown tremendously in the last 50 years, technological innovation is also why the economy has grown so tremendously. The idea that we should have the government function as it did a couple of hundred years ago and that this will solve today’s economic problems is the height of ignorance.

          • DaveH

            Yes you are Normal,
Can’t you make a point without the name-calling? You are the “ignorant” one. This country was established on Libertarian principles of limited government and personal freedom, and it became the wealthiest nation on earth as a result.

          • DaveH

            By the way Normal,
The concept that freedom could not exist in a technological society is an old argument, very old, at least 200 years old. That same argument was being made when our forefathers were framing the Constitution.

          • Smilee

One little problem there DaveH, there was not much technology by today’s technology standards 200 years ago, they had not a clue as to what we have to deal with today and we have not much clue about what they dealt with, your comparison is ludicrous. Freedom can exist in both but it would be helpful if you guys would come out of the 18th century into the 21st. You cannot live in the present when you are stuck in the past.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Wow again. Dude, seriously. You dont own any guns do you? Not that Im against them, just dont want them in hands of people like you. Wow.

        • eyeswideopen

Berb, I carry, and actually, you are the one that I would be afraid of.

    • DaveH

And this is why Big Government doesn’t work. We can’t even get along with each other on a board where we’re supposed to have a shared interest – Freedom. And we expect Big Government to represent us like “one size fits all”?

      • Normal Guy

The Libertarianism you refer to was the declaration of independence. Liberty as a principle it is not a form of government, what is advocated is basically anarchy. Where do individuals and minimal government work in today’s world, got an example of where this works? I think it is a fairy tale.

Did you notice that the structure of government that made this nation great is a republic based on democracy. The union of the states created a strong, integrated trade area. The federal banking structure made funds available to develop the resources and build global businesses that have become the strongest in the world.

The reason Europe is unified is to compete. The future is not about disconnection it is about interaction.

The US will flourish, but the way to the future is not the past.

        • DaveH

          No Normal,
The Libertarianism I refer to was not the declaration of independence.
From “For a New Liberty” by Murray Rothbard:
“historians now realize that the American Revolution itself was not only ideological but also the result of devotion to the creed and the institutions of libertarianism. The American revolutionaries were steeped in the creed of libertarianism, an ideology which led them to resist with their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor the invasions of their rights and liberties committed by the imperial
          British government.”
And why do you keep throwing in the term “anarchy”? Your vain attempt to cloud the discussion with a negative buzzword is illogical at the least.
By the way, Chile is one country that comes to mind. They embraced the free-market ideas of Milton Freidman and have done well since then.
Limited Government would enhance our economy, not weaken it. You’re going to have to educate yourself on the benefits of a free market, as it’s not worth my time to try to enlighten you.

          • Normal Guy

Well I guess that the core of the American Revolution was the declaration of independence so the principles – as I said – are those, read the declaration “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” the constitution created the rules and structure. Your guide to libertarianism agrees, the route was the French revolution – as an instigation point valuable – to suggest that it is a solution to the US economy is naive, that is why there is no example. Fiscal restraint is not libertarianism? Chile has socialised medicine, free trade agreements with countries all over the world and a stable legitimate left of centre government.

Do some research and you will find the libertarianism and anarchy are closely associated, The more government the lower the anarchy levels.

An anarchist is an extreme libertarian, like a socialist is an extreme democrat, and a fascist is an extreme republican.

It seems that the people with the power, because they have much of the “gold,” have a huge influence over the Congress of the USA, either because of exceedingly high positive benefits provided, OR scared tactics (do this or else). I don’t know which. Maybe both.

This influence has helped create a government that is so far out of touch with the principles on which this country was founded, that my tendency is to imagine replacing the entire lot of them with people who believe in, and would abide by, the Constitution.

This kind of massive change of course would be impossible because the influence of the people who have most of the gold has effected every facet of society to the extent that people are more interested in figuring out a way to buy the latest kitchen appliance so they can make salad in 30 seconds than figuring out a way to get leaders in office who will follow the Constitution.

I feel anger and outrage as I more and more learn how these people with power have put us all into a position of being their slaves.

    • DaveH

      Bryce,
I agree, but brace yourself for the liberal attacks. You aren’t supposed to feel anger when people are helping themselves to your wallet. You will be accused of being “hateful”, “racist”, and whatever other manipulative terms the liberals can think of.

  • DaveH

Do we have to keep repeating History? Can’t we stop this freight train before it runs off the end of the tracks?
From Alexander Tyler, Cycle of Democracy: “A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over lousy fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average of the world’s great civilizations before they decline has been 200 years. These nations have progressed in this sequence: From bondage to spiritual faith; from faith to great courage; from courage to liberty; from liberty to abundance; from abundance to selfishness; from selfishness to Complacency; from complacency to apathy; from apathy to dependency; from dependency back again to bondage.”

    • American Citizen

At the moment, I think we’re slipping from apathy into dependency and with the government we have now, we’re not far from bondage. I keep asking people why they want to become slaves to the government, but so far haven’t gotten an answer from them.

  • American Citizen

We can now see the kind of government we get when it’s bought instead of elected.

  • eyeswideopen

So, we must be at the abundance to selfishness point? Isn’t that an agruement for health care? If you want people not to be selfish, then shouldn’t they want everybody to be covered for health issues? How do you propose to stop the selfishness and not become more socialist?

    • American Citizen

The government is not supposed to be a sugar daddy. It only has what it first takes from us to give to someone else. That is not letting me decide how I want to help others. Forced charity is not charity, such as being forced to belong to a religion, i.e. Muslim, is not true faith. What needs fixing in health care is not being fixed. Obama’s plan will only work if you’re not sick. Ask people in countries that have socialized (single payer) medicine. We’ve heard a lot of horror stories from people who live under that system.

    • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Heath care. Look. I was born poor, one of 6 kids. Im 51 now, just making 50 grand a year, wife, and 2 kids. I pay my health care premiums, and everything is good and taken care of. I dont want to be paying for someone elses, Ok. Is that selfish? I pay my 60.00 bucks a week as a responsible party to my family, and I expect joe blow down the street to take care of his, ok. Not selfish. I give 10 percent of my check away everyweek to my church. I give more to the rescue mission here in town, and to make a wish and other charities. I dont want no socialized health care, where they tax the crap out of me so some junkie can go in and get free needles and a prescription for some methadone free. No, dont want it, dont need it, and if you want it, fine, move to Canada, eh?

      • Smilee

Yes it is selfish, admire your charity but isn’t that what we are talking about in health care reform, what have you got against a collective program vs going it alone like you advocate, your paying only 60 dollars that mean your employer is paying the lions share or you have a very poor plan

      • eyeswideopen

Do either of your parent participate in Medicare?? If so you are a hypocrite. It is socialized healthcare for the elderly. So, if they are on it,,,, take them off and pay for their medical yourself.

  • BryceMyron

How to stop selfishness and not become more socialistic?

Here’s one option: Use internet-based network marketing businesses with a cooperative approach to build an income safety net for all members. Low monthly fees makes it possible for virtually everyone to join. Access to digital products, if you want to use them, makes it legal, and not just a money game. Every member’s efforts to increase membership helps everyone, not just themselves. Members wil discover that when they are helping others, they are also helping themselves.

People making a connection with each other with this type of structure creates an avenue for communciation. We can start talking to each other, now with an income safety net, about getting our needs met, emotional and spiritual needs, that aren’t getting met with more and more consumption. With an income safety net, we can start realizing that life isn’t just about making money. We can start looking inside, to discover who we are, who we are as unique indivduals, and who we are as human beings.

With increasing numbers of people, bolstered by an income safety net, starting to develop their inner resources, we as a group can start to build political strength. Our structure to build income is based on reliance upon each other, not the government and not employers. With more economic power, we can begin to say no to people who want us to be their slaves. We can get out of debt. We can start to pay “cash” for everything. WE . . . can get the power back!

I am a stanch Sarah Palin supporter. There is NO ONE with the insight that she has and I would like to see her BECOME THE FIRST WOMAN PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. As she said “If the door opens she will go in”. I am praying it will happen because SHE IS WHAT AMERICA NEEDS. I truly ADMIRE AND RESPECT her and she has the ability to lead America on the path it should go. Go get them Sarah. GOD BLESS AMERICA

  • Smilee

Don’t you know, God cannot bless America by backing Sarah, only a fool really believes this door will open, America will never accept this gal who is in reality in self destruct mode and no one wants someone who would most likely bring this mentality with her if she was to become pres. which will not happen. Liberals really think she is a big joke and have no fear of her what so ever but conservatives have convinced themselves we are scared to death, I suppose the hopeless have to find hope somewhere.

    • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Why do you insinuate that God cannot bless America if Sarah is president? You purport He would bless us with a muslim as president, that doesnt even know Him? I think not. Sarah knows Jesus Christ as her Saviour, and if one doesnt have the Son, well, as the Good Book says, one doesnt have the Father either. And it wouldnt be placing a woman in position of authority over a man, if you are going to try to prostitute the scriptures on that point. The President does not have authority over me. Barack Obama does not have authority over me. He is paid to govern us, to guide, along with congress. He does not, nor would she have, authority over us, so dont be trying to prostitute the scriptures, if that is what you are insinuating. I would believe that God would bless this country under Sarah Palin, a believer in His Son Jesus Christ, much much much more than He would a muslim that does not even acknowledge Him.

      • Smilee

God recognizes all his children, but sorry Buddy, Obama is a Christian and that is why he would not say the same about you, You should not lie remember “Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor”

  • DaveH

As I’ve stated before, I don’t know that much about Sarah, but the fact that the liberals attack her so vociferously makes me think she must be onto something. I think her inexperience is an attribute. Why would we want experienced politicians? Experienced politicians have learned how to pull the wool over their constituent’s eyes. Experienced politicians have learned to use their power to get away with crimes that the ordinary citizen would be prosecuted for. Experienced politicians have learned how to give special favors to those special interests that keep them in office.
What I do know is that any person (or country full of persons) who cannot discipline themselves to live within their means is very unlikely to undertake the extreme discipline that would be required to not only live within their means but also pay back that money which was borrowed from others. There will be no turning back if we don’t get control of our governments spending soon.
Even if Sarah is the right person for that job, she cannot do it alone. Ronald Reagan had the right ideas, but he mostly wasn’t able to implement them because Congress (even members of his own party) stood in his way. We need to recognize that Congress is the main problem in this country.

    • American Citizen

You’re right, the President or a governor is only one person. “It takes a village” to run a city, state or country. That’s why we need to get good people up there in Congress next year and then vote in a good person for President in ’12.
Experiences politicians help me believe in God. There has to be an even higher power to sit in judgment on them.

    Hello,
Look who took the survey and you will see why it is rigged from the get go. The news agency CNN—C “CRAPPY”–N—NEWS—-N—NETWORK,
Is that enough said about the subject or do I have to say anymore? I am so fed-up with them that I just do not even want to waste my time with there idiots anymore. Except for Lou Dobbs he is all-right, and will always will be in my book. I wish that somebody like Fox would give him a slot some where.

    Thanks,
    Larry D. Crumbley

    Greetings,
I am glad that we still(for now anyway),are able to exercise our freedom of speech. I am troubled however with the direction that our country is going. I am a registered Republican and I put the blame for the direction we are going on the Republicans and the Democrats. I am forty-six years old, and I have known for some time, that anyone who believes that the US Government is going to take care of us is probably more opinionated, than they are informed. If the government was to fall today, who would rebuild it? We all would(I hope anyway). We must not be at each others throats!, we are Americans. We cannot go back to Civil War, that will accomplish nothing. Nevertheless, I worry that is where we are heading. We must not let our own government tear us apart.
Thank you for letting me voice my thoughts.

    Sincerely,
    Charles Carter

Shouldn’t Bobby be asking “Is EVERYONE falling out of love with Barack Obama?” His poll numbers have gone south so fast physicists are wondering if light is the fastest thing in the known universe.

Re: Dave H: You nailed it. If there’s one unimpeachable truth that has emerged form two centuries of
study of the human psyche it’s that hatred and fear are twins: when one walks beside you, the other sleeps in your bed.

If Sarah Palin, at some very deep level, did not represent a fear to those who despise her, if such people
genuinely thought she was a buffoon of no consequence and no threat to the left, she could not be the focus of the almost obsessive attention she is.

The left will deny it’s fear. That’s a given but it’s real, runs deep, and is either the father of the contempt they feel for Palin or its child.

Normal Guy, inflation tell me things will cost even more. People will then have less money to spend on other things which means more layoffs. Analysts expect another million jobs will be cut.

It’s being said that Kennedy’s healthcare plan as well as Obama’s are plans for the healthy. That’s what people in other countries say about their plans. People who are not sick love them.

We need changes to the insurance companies plans, not a government takeover.

    • Normal Guy

      American Citizen,

Inflation reduces your purchasing power if your income does not increase with it. Are you making the same wages now as you were twenty years ago? I can tell you that when I started working in the 70′s $2 an hour to start was the rate, today that rate is $8 so in relative terms starting wages are slightly increased. That is the goal that we are able to get more real income in real terms. If inflation has cut the value of the currency from $1 to 50 cents but the average persons net worth has gone up by 300% in the same period then in real terms we are better off, so as I said inflation (unless it becomes hyper-inflation which is really unlikely) is no big deal. As I said the problems are that fixed income is impacted and as inflation sets in not all income and costs rise in step so there can be disruptions. The creeping inflation that is part of all capitalism is the result of expectations that people will get more money as they stay in a job, even if it is the same work. It is no big deal.

In regard to the positive impact of inflation in this high debt period, if you have inflation at about 7% a year for about 10 years you double the monetary size of the economy. That means that the US economy becomes a thirty trillion dollar economy rather than a fifteen and the scale of the incurred debt is reduced accordingly.

I regard to the whole fiat current fear that is frequently referred to on this site. All currencies except for food, shelter, and land are fiat. Gold only has value if someone wants to trade for it. So there is no currency that has value other than the value that we are willing to give it. The efficiency of trading “promises” are what has generated the global economy and allowed us all to prosper.

In regard to health care, stop listening to Fox, go to the CBC or Globe and mail in Canada, or the BBC or London Times. The talking points that you are repeating are false. In Canada there are lots of problems just like there is in every other system but healthcare in Canada is a centerpiece of their society and Canadians are generally proud of it. The national health in Great Briton is again something that is generally very well regarded. When you read commentary on the US system in the international press they can’t imagine a more unfair unjust system. To be at the mercy of corporations that are looking for ways to end or limit coverage when you are sick, to see people wiped out by costs of treatment, to leave millions uninsured so that they are not able to access basic medical services except in emergency rooms, unbelievable.

      • American Citizen

It doesn’t take a Mensa brain to figure out that inflation is not good for those of us on fixed incomes and low wages. Our purchasing power will be reduced thus businesses will not be selling as much and start to lay off people, thus the job losses. Not everybody’s income goes up every year. Ours doesn’t go up enough to cover the cost of living increases so we have to dip into our reserves/savings. I keep hoping we won’t have to go into a nursing home as I’m not sure how we’d pay for it. I have insurance but my husband doesn’t.

        • eyeswideopen

Why don’t you write to your Republican Senator and ask him how you are going to be able to afford it? You can use the internet to send him an email…..But don’t be surprised if they don’t have any answers for you as they don’t have an alternative plan to the Dem’s reform bill either.

  • Canadian Citizen

I read your site for the first time but agree with Charles Carter. QUOTE: We must not be at each other’s throats. We are Americans.’ i CAN ONLY SAY THAT 8 YEARS is a much longer period of time than 8 MONTHS. That being said, I will also say that there are two things I see the President has to do. First he has to undo what was done, and second, he has to find a way to redo it, NOT TO REPE IT. Why don’t the Republicans join him and help him to find another way to do this, rather than trying to cripple what he is trying to do?

They did what they did then snd no one seemed to think that whatever was being done was not the right thing to do and make the necessary correction before it all got out of hand; but now that they are no longer in power they know all what the President is doing and not doing. Is it because they are ashamed of their past mistakes and still trying to cover up, or is it a personal attack on the PRESIDENT himself? COME ON, YOU ARE ALL AMERICANS, GET OVER IT AND DO THE AMERICAN THING SO YOU CAN CONTINUE TO LIVE YOUR AMERICAN DREAM.

    • American Citizen

I’m glad the Republicans are not voting for Obama’s plans because they are not the right ones for this country. He’s not trying to fix anything, only doing more of the same in spades. If he were really trying to fix things, why isn’t he doing the opposite of what was then? For Obama, it’s all about control. Pay attention to what he’s saying and read/listen between the lines. Ask questions of him and he can’t answer because they’re not on his teleprompter. He hems and haws and then speaks gobbledygook. I think he likes the taste of his foot.

    • http://donthaveone Beberoni

To undo what? We had the lowest unemployement ever under Bush, we had the most people ever working under Bush, the stock market hit an alltime high under Bush, and everything was great, until the last year and a half, when the public and business knew, that do to the poisoning of societys minds by the national press, that a democrat was going to be elected. Business saved its money for the new taxes they knew were coming if the dems won, and the fears were confirmed when Obama won. Now millions have lost their jobs, as business make cutbacks to pay the tax man. I know, we had to cut 30 here. The tax cuts are ending soon, and thats going to doom another few million to the unemployement lines. Meanwhile, these jerks reward bad business practice by GM and Chrysler and give them billions. Unreal. So there is nothing to undo. If they were smart, they would have signed in the tax cuts as permanent to let business know they were with them, but they didnt do it, and business knows they are going to rescind them. They havent a clue what to do, and are mismanageing this whole thing, and the results are going to be catastrophic, and undeducated people like you still, unreal, you still, sit there and want to blame Bush, when he had things going great. Lie to yourself if it makes you feel better, but it doesnt make it true.

      • eyeswideopen

LOL, so you think that the media had the ability to get the economics screwed up, by merely thinking that Obama would be elected? You stated that for a year and a half, so I guess you mean the media also was able to project that Clinton would not be the nominee? Oh holy crap, you have lost your mind. You think that the media knew he would be elected so the people then to spite themselve screwed up the housing industry, wall street and the banks?? Oh us hateful Americans.

  • American Citizen

    Normal Guy

The definition of Fascism: A system of government characterized by one party dictatorship, forcible suppression of opposition (the Bluedog Dems as well as the Republicans), private economic enterprise under centralized governmental control. Sounds like present day Democrats to me.

    • Normal Guy

Lets see, your definition looked at as each item.

One party system – No we have Republicans, Libertarians etc

Dictatorship – meaning no elections – No I think we just had an election maybe you missed it.

Forcible suppression of opposition – meaning guns to keep civilians down No but thanks for the reference to the other parties reinforcing your error regarding a one party system

Private enterprise controlled by government – No, I think my companies ( I own a digital media company and my wife owns a restaurant) are owned by me so no state control there.

Now I see how you can spout the stuff you do, even when you live in this world you seem to dwell someplace else. Fascism is an extreme right wing political state, totalitarianism is an extreme left wing state, so if you think the liberals are way left you should call it Totalitarianism, next paranoid moment at least get the terms straight.

So you think that the USA is a fascist state? Good god, you live in the greatest democracy the world has ever seen and you think you are subjugated, you need some help.

      • American Citizen

I’ve seen Dems and Liberals here and on other sites call the Republicans fascists when the definition comes closer to Democrat policies these days. You don’t need to use guns to get control over the people, you only need to have one party in power. They use arm-twisting and threats of not getting money to their states if they don’t capitulate.

  • SHAZAZM

WELL FOLKS, HOBAMASS IS ATTEMPTING TO SHUT DOWN THE TALK SHOWS..

SEEMS TO ME THE NAZI/COMMIE DICTATOR IS AFRAID OF THE TRUTH !!!

HIDE YOUR GUNS YOU MAY NEED THEM TO SURVIVE..

  • SHAZAZM

SARA, RUSH, OR GLEN BECK ARE THE ONLY VIABLE CANDIDATES WITH ANY
HONESTY LEFT FOR THE 2012 “WHITE” HOUSE

  • Anti-Shazazm

Shazazm, the way I see it is you’re either some hillbilly redneck or an insurance company CEO trying to continue to scare people into being sheep – following their rhetoric to keep them rich and the rest of us “just getting by” if that.

Sara Palin’s been selling out the American people since she brought big oil to Alaska (our last frontier). That’s the only reason she got the nob for VP. You only like her cause you think she’s a hotty and talks about Joe Six Pack – must be your kinda girl.

Rush Lamjerk is making a ton of money from the really big corporations by keeping sheep like you off the main focus. Whenever an issue comes up that might save us money but cost them their fortunes it’s Rush to the rescue inflaming the sheep to turn the focus to something else.

You call that honest – they laugh at you each day.

I don’t know who Glen Beck is but it’s probably on of your drinking buddies. Maybe before you two go out to pick up a couple of sixpacks you pick up an education first.

Obama a Nazi/Commie Dictator? What planet you came from. He won the majority vote and it seems he’s trying to do what’s good for ALL people. Not just for his friend’s like that last jerk in office that YOU voted for.

    • Jon

Really… then why are all his little cronies making MILLIONS on ad revenue? Jezz… You actually thought he would be different? The laugh is on you.

Obama’s approval rating is already below that which voted for him and dropping pretty fast. It’s hard to be a radical leftist and keep the moderate’s support when you campaigned as a centrist.

    • Dickie

You know ant-shitjam,You must be more stupid than your name,Nixon, brought oil to alaska,You stupid little ass,Eyesclosed shut,If you were smart enough to turn the little channel on your tv,or radio,or get someone to show you how,Slugs like you,You ungreatful trash,I dont know how in the hell,You discussing, parasites can even look at yourselves,With out seeing the slime flowing off of you for the out right LIES,You try to spread,You can’t tell anyone that you are not mad at yourselves,For being LOSERS,And NO shelf respect,I guess it must hurt to be so sorry in life,To see your children look at you for being a lier,And being a little mouse,And illiterate,Not being smart enough to think for yourselve,You are only two of many traitor’s in America,What in the HELL are wrong with idots like you.You are so pittyful you dont want good,You must feel good being used,And lied to by the TRASH you put in office,DAMN.

  • eyeswideopen

So, our choices are: Rush the drug addict and womanizer,Glenn Beck an admitted alcoholic, or Sarah, whose husband belonged to a political party who alligned itself with Iran. This party has people who are qualified and are not radicals. Any of those three would ensure that the Democrat’s would win again.

    • American Citizen

Your eyes may be wide open, but I think they have cataracts on them so that you really don’t see things clearly.
Apparently you’ve never been taught to look at consequences of an action. The wisdom is that every action has an equal and opposite reaction.

      • eyeswideopen

Yes, I do believe in consequences, and forgiveness, however, I know that in a country of this size, the Republican Party can find someone who believes in marriage, doesn’t and hasn’t done drugs of any kind, and whose partner didn’t belong to a party trying to succeed to the Yukon, and not alligning with Iran. I don’t feel that is asking too much.
Jon, it is not my intent to defend Pres. Obama, it is my intent to point out to my Party members that we made mistakes, hatred is not good for our country, racism and bigots make this part lose members, and we can’t be hypocrites and be successful. I am just as mad as everyone else, however we need to show our intelligence and not our hatred.

        • American Citizen

Apparently you aren’t married or in a “relationship”. You can’t control what your partner does. Parents can’t control their children once they off the “reservation.” All we can do is love them and take them back when they realize their mistakes.

          • Anti-Shazazm

            A C,

Your replies have been ok up until now. Why are you changing the subject? This isn’t about whether you can control what your partner does its about whether you supporting them when their wrong. It’s not whether you can control Shazazm’s three stooges but whether you should support them. Stay to the point – start the tactic the Lamjerk uses; changing focus.

  • Jon

Actually Eyeswideopen…. How do you explain Obama being a member of the New Party? (Google it. I won’t do your homework for you.) Or the fact that Obama was (is) a cocaine addict and a pot head?

Rush got help. Glenn no longer drinks. I guess it is only ok to have a past addiction if you are a member of a socialist party???? Don’t you think you have a double standard? Of course you do.

    • American Citizen

You forgot to mention that a President who wants to control our healthcare still smokes.

      • Anti-Shazazm

        A C

Here ya go again. If the system stinks (which it does) whether you smoke or not shouldn’t bear on need to change it. Stick to the point – stop changing focus – if I wanted that garbage I’d listen to Lamjerk.

        • American Citizen

Oh, Lord, you remind me of my husband. You have to hit him over the head to get a point across. He can’t follow a thread. Obama is being a hypocrite on health care as everyone knows (or at least should) that smoking is bad for your health. All of these points mentioned above all have to do with the government taking over our lives by hypocrites and bureaucrats.

  • American Citizen

A-S, I didn’t change the subject, I’m responding to the charge that Sarah’s husband belonged to a party that wanted Alaska to secede.

    • eyeswideopen

Well, he did, just look it up… Don’t be afraid, it won’t hurt to look at the truth.

  • Carol

CNN and a few other stations would like us to believe Sarah Palin is losing her popularity but we know better. She has a high following. If CNN ran the poll that would explain it. They have a lot of coolaid drinkers. CNN does tell the news they makes it up. One time CNN use to be the top news channel now they are on the bottom. Even if her husand did belong to what you are saying. He is free to do as he wants. You act like she can make him do something. My husband and I belong to two different parties. So what is your point.

They will try anything to put Sarah down. A lot of Obama’s people play dirty. They messed with her web site and facebook. They tried to make nasty comments on people that support her.

Obama need to realize that you cannot keep overdrafting without it eventually hurt the united states and its people. Maybe that is his plan.

    • American Citizen

Yeh, their reporters hid in hotel rooms in Iraq instead of going out and getting the real news. I also love the way they (the liberals) take a sentence or two out of context and make it seem as though the speaker means the opposite of what he or she is really saying.

      • eyeswideopen

No, you are mistaken, that is our Republican tactic and it works quite well, thank you.

  • Dickie

Sara Palin,Has been a breath of fresh air,To America,But some people don’t like deceint people,They have miserable lives,So they make up lies,To make theirselves feel better,Look at that trash letterman,The drunken slob baldwin,Evil people like them,& pelosi, reid, boxer, muthar,& the queen franks,Think GOD kenndy’s gone. They are scard of GOOD,If it had not been for Ms.Palin,We would not have been told about the hussein,& the above named DEATH PANEL,So when your mother, farther,or child is murder by them,Set down and blame yourselve,What in the hell have all these tryant’s have done for ALL THE PEOPLE. In the past 40-yrs,Nothing,Not a DAMN THING,But LIE,CHEAT,STILL,GAVE OUR JOBS TO OTHER COUNTRY’S,RAISED OUR TAX’ES,SCREWED US OUT OF OUR S.S.,MESSED UP OUR MEDICARE,MEDICADE,WASTED OUR MONEY ON GARBAGE PROGAMS,BUT WE STILL PUT THESE LIERS BACK IN OFFICE,NOW THE TRASH HAS THE BALL’S TO CALL US NAZI’S,UNAMERICAN,SPECTOR JUMPS BACK AND FORTH TO WHO EVER IS WINNING,YES WE NEED A WONDERFUL PERSON LIKE SHARA,TO KEEP GOD IN AMERICA,HE HAS GOTTEN US THIS FAR,AND IF YOU DON’T BELEVE YOU DAMN WELL BETTER HOPE YOU ARE RIGHT.Because hussein,& his DEMON-CRAFTS,ARE TAKEING YOU FAST STRAIGHT TO HELL. MARK IT DOWN YOU WILL SEE.

  • Dickie

I never realy knew JUST how NASTY the demon-craft party WAS until this last year,But they are sore losers,And my GOD the lies they can come up with,I guess this is how people live with no soles,or respect,I guess if you love murdering babies, being an athiest, want a hand out,or want same sex marriage,Lose your freedom,And your right to bear arms,And the most currupt goverment in the world you would be a great demon-craft.I did not realize just how discussing humans can be.

    • eyeswideopen

Don’t want to hurt your feelings, but the Dem’s won, not us. We are the sore losers, or are you talking about us and just made a mistake when you said Dem’s? We should be worrying about our Souls as we have become a party who will lie to our elderly to promote a political stand.Sad.

  • Jack Kinch(1uncle)

Another demo lie. Sarah is a viable candidate.
