App Reports TSA Agents

A new app reports Transportation Security Administration agents who go too far.

Want to report a pesky TSA agent? There’s an app for that.

On Monday, an app became available for the iPhone and Android that can be used to send a complaint to the Department of Homeland Security and Transportation Security Administration.

The app was created by a Sikh advocacy group in response to complaints from Sikhs traveling in the United States. After the 9/11 attacks, some Sikhs have been forced to remove their turbans.

The app enables travelers to file a complaint with information such as name, phone number, email address, race, religion or gender. The app also allows fliers to post the complaint on social media sites.

“My hope is that this app will exponentially increase the number of complaints filed with the TSA, flood the system so they get that this is a problem. For too long the Transportation Security Administration has been able to tell Congress this is not an issue, nobody’s complaining,” said Sikh Coalition program director Amardeep Singh.

My first complaint/question would be: If the war on terror is over as has been voiced by an Obama administration official, Then how come the TSA is not being disbanned?

    • Sirian

The war on Terror is Far From Over Michael J, far from over. TSA will remain – it’s for our protection now so we have to live with it. Once a government program is started it’s harder to get rid of it than a deeply embedded tick!

  • JD

Yep , given enough complaints we will see another solution . A whole new government agency to address the complaints ant it will only cost 750 billion to get started .

  • Just Me

A long time ago I stopped travelling by air. I WILL NOT be subjected to an unwarranted search. When I stated that I did not like being subjected to an unwarranted search to a TSA troll I was told that such a comment could get me kicked out of the airport and on to the “no fly” list. Then they stated that is WAS warranted, when I asked to see the search warrant they stated that they did not have one and did not need one.

You will never keep any rights if you willingly surrender them.

  • 45caliber

This is one app I don’t need. I have no intention of flying anywhere.

  • ToeTagTunny

Thing of it is, we’ll be complaining to the same damn agency that started it all.. I can see it now, “We’ll do our best to get rid of the associate who stuck his/her thumb up your bung hole.. this is a recording”.. Then give him/her a raise, pat them on the back for a job well done then shuffle them off to another airport.. Case closed.
