An Update On Maryanne Godboldo And Medical Tyranny

An Update On Maryanne Godboldo And Medical Tyranny

A Wayne County (Mich.) Family Court judge has ruled that a Detroit teenager stolen from her mother by armed thugs of the Detroit medical police must be turned over to the custody of her aunt this afternoon.

We told you April 20 in The Medical Police State about Maryanne Godboldo, who took her 13-year-old daughter, Ariana, to the Detroit Children’s Center last year after the girl began experiencing behavioral problems following a series of State-mandated immunizations.

The doctor at the DCC prescribed a treatment plan for Ariana that included a psychotropic drug. But the “treatment” only worsened Ariana’s condition, so Maryanne did what any rational person would do: She sought a second opinion.

The second doctor recommended removing Ariana from the drug and prescribed a holistic plan to help Ariana, who also has a physical disability. Maryanne agreed with the new treatment.

But medical goons from the DCC and tyrants from Detroit Child Protective Services did not and gave Maryanne two choices: Put her daughter back on the “treatment” plan first prescribed — a treatment plan that she sought voluntarily and, therefore, should be able to stop — or give up her daughter. Maryanne chose none of the above.

So on March 24, the DCC and CPS fascists, aided by a Detroit Police SWAT team, crashed into Maryanne’s home, took Ariana into custody of the State and incarcerated Maryanne for resisting the armed intrusion.

Ariana has been detained ever since. And to make the case even more bizarre, a doctor treating Ariana while she was in custody decided she didn’t need the psychotropic drug after all. And if the whole ordeal wasn’t enough trauma for the State to inflict on one of its citizens, Ariana was apparently assaulted while in State custody, as Maryanne’s attorney claims Ariana has contracted a sexually transmitted disease.

The DCC and CPS are trying to fight the judge’s order to turn Ariana over to her aunt (notice that she still will be separated from her mother), according to the Detroit Free Press. But the judge said she would have none of it.

Let’s hope rationality finally reigns in this case and Ariana can be returned quickly to her mother, who apparently is one of the few people who truly has the girl’s best interests at heart.

They would have to kill me before they would take my kid. This is one of the sickest stories I’ve heard to date. No one would make me put my kid on drugs, not in this lifetime. If I knew what I know now about vaccines my kids never would have gotten them. Looks like it is time dismantle government and start totally over. And keep doctors where they belong too. If we decline what they say, live with it. They have no right to force any treatment on anyone. We have the right to choose. Period.

      Ditto.

Actually you may want to check out the story from a slightly different perspective: http://the-classic-liberal.com/update-ariana-godboldo-kidnapping/

          Rob

          • Mac

Robert Smith: that link is NOT a “different perspective;” it only confirms Bob Livingston’s original article. In a later post you present some questions about the authority of parents. In MY opinion the parents should be able to do whatever they want with their children, for example Christian Scientists withholding medical treatment. The State should have no right to force medication on children who are not out of control and harming others.

          • DaveH

Oh, but Mac, Liberals think they are of superior intellect, and therefore know, better than we, what is best for our children.

      • http://overstore Mark edgette

Lets form a coalition and revolt against tyranny through political means we are the power not them the politicians are not in charge we are we need to fire the political and deport them immediately!!!

    • CJM

Brace yourself; this is the first phase of obama’s death care bill–which he fondly calls “healthcare”. And you, the parent will go to prison if you dare question his techniques…or lose your children as this mother did.

      • Kate8

CJM – Yes, and I just read that Obamacare will NOT be repealed. EVER.

It’s never been about health. It’s about control.

        • TIME

          Kate,

That would be correct, and this is not the first of these attacks as the American public becomes less and less involved the plan will only speed up just as we have seen in the last 25 years.

Its obvious that the American public has a higher level of MONKEYS that I had thought.
I strongly feel its more in line with 70% who will do as they are told. Even so far as tossing their kids in a meat grinder to save their own skin.
We have fallen as a nation in to a groups of self serving mindless Idiots.

Saddly, as we have been in a war now for what was that again, oh yea 11 years, what about when it gets to be 33 years and still at the same old wars, will anyone even recall why it was again? No.

As the MONKEYS toss crap at those of us who can see the writting on the walls and yet these mindless buffoons and guttless littkle MONKEYS call us CONSPIRACY NUTS. etc.
All the while as this onec great nations freedoms are taken one after an other and the MONKEYS all agree to is so they can “feel safe.”

Perhaps if the MONKEYS would all just put a gun in thier mouths and pull the trigger they would feel even safer, as thats just what they are doing now, its just slower.

        • Robert Smith

What about christian scientists who refuse all care?

What about parents who have kids die because they refused cancer treatment for the kid?

What about parents who want their 11 year-old to have an abortion and the kid refuses?

          Rob

          • Mac

11 year-olds don’t know what is “best” for them. What if the parent wants to give castor oil? Should the kid have the right to refuse something because it tastes bad?

          • Kate8

Robert Smith – What about idiots who think they have the right to run other people’s lives?

I wouldn’t presume to tell you what kind of healthcare to get. Why do you think that you have the right to tell me?

I wouldn’t tell you how to care for your children. Why do you think that you have the right to dictate to me about ANYTHING?

You simply demonstrate why liberals can’t be trusted to run things.

          • Carlucci

Robert Smith is one sick puppy. His fellow libtards need to make room for him on the slow boat to Cuba.

          • Cathy

Cancer treatment? I believe that the “treatment” is what kills people…NOT the cancer.

          • Thamera

What about it Robert S? All of those instances involve PERSONAL choice whether you agree with it or not.

          • DaveH

            What’s your abortion stance, Robert?

          • Thamera

I probably don’t have to tell you this DaveH but Robert S is all for abortion. He thinks it’s the greatest thing since sliced bread. After all, an unborn child is a parasite…right Robert?

          • DaveH

If that’s true, Thamera, then Robert has absolutely no legs to stand on when it comes to meddling in other parents’ decisions about their children.

          • DaveH

Why is it that the people with the least morality and the least common sense always want to force their agendas on other people?

          • Thamera

It does seem quite hypocritical doesn’t it DaveH. That is why I found Robert S., post so incredulous. And I ask the same question every day, believe me!

        • CB

What in the WORLD does this have to do with “Obamacare”?!?! Nothing in the Health Care Reform bill has to do with state-run child protective services. And why would you think that liberals would support the actions of CPS as stated in this article?

I am as far left and liberal as they come, and I find the actions of CPS in this case to be abhorrent.

          • Thamera

Because “Obama Care” further restricts individual liberty of CHOICE! His changes in “health reform” have already restricted my ability to purchase over the counter meds with my flex account which is MY money. And that is just one teeny, tiny example! People like you CB really need to start paying attention to the “small” details.

          • DaveH

What does it have to do with the Health Care Law? People forcing their way on other people is what.
            CB,
Count on seeing your Health Care diminished in the future. Involving Government in anything always has and always will increase the costs of that category. Why? Many reasons. They aren’t directly accountable to the customer, so if they make wrong decisions they are much less likely to care. Government workers generally have very secure jobs, so they are much less likely to be concerned if things work right or not. They cost money, and typically more money than for equivalent private sector workers. Those costs are on top of the necessary medical costs, so there is even less money in the economy for Health Care.
Plus, patients will no longer be able to keep their medical decisions between themselves and their doctors. There will be a meddlesome third party involved who won’t care if you are happy or not.
Personally, I don’t care (except for the mandatory insurance scam) because I rarely visit doctors and will be fine with accepting nature’s fate for me when it comes. But most of the rest of you are going to care a lot when you find out what a joke Government involvement will turn out to be. And by then, it will be too late to turn the Beast back.

          • Kate8

DaveH – The trouble is, not only will we have to pay through the nose for this forced O’care whether we use it or not, but it won’t be long before we have mandatory physicals, vaccines and drugs. And we won’t have access to the things we DO want.

O’care is just a means to an end: enslavement that doesn’t stop at our skin.

    • Richard Pawley

If you look at Detroit and all the cities in this country that are in really bad financial shape, you might observe that they have been ruled by Democrats for 50 years or more. Democrats feel like they have God-like abilities and they know what is best for everyone about everything. Like all good socialist or Marxists many of them (but not all) think that your children belong to the state first before they belong to you. This is not much different than in Nazi Germany or Soviet Russia. Some 70 members of congress are actually members of the Democratic socialists of America in league with those in other countries where socialism has been tried and has failed. A mere handful of Democrats are worth their salt and a few handfuls of Republicans but if congress cannot stop the uncontrollable spending of money we don’t have, the inflation that will result will soon put an end to this kind of insanity (I hope) because there won’t be enough money to pay for it. If government were smaller they could not be intruding into our lives and taking away our freedoms as they do now. Of course if that is what the population wants then it still can’t continue to much longer because we are as broke as was the Soviet Union a few years ago. Why do you think some of these union states lost so many citizens in the past decade? The people who fought for the creation of this country sought freedom more than anything else and now so many have been brainwashed that they desire to trade their freedom for security. Sadly some 45,000 from the Middle East have crossed over illegally from Mexico (based on the number of Muslims we have caught crossing – approaching 2,000 now – and millions of illegal aliens of other nationalities, who have perpetrated over 1,000,000 documented sex crimes against American citizens. Security? More of an illusion now that it is reported that those guarding the border have been ordered not to make as many arrests as previously. Congress just doesn’t seem to care about things like this. We have 18 months to again replace as many as we can but if things don’t improve very soon these really will be in “The Last Days of the Late Great United States”.

      • DaveH

True Richard, but do you really want to give Government an excuse to grow even bigger? I think the best we could do is make immigration much simpler, so there would be far less incentive to enter illegally. That would the entrants would be documented and keeping track of them would be much simpler. But nevertheless, we must quit focusing on illegals, except of course those that are committing crimes, and focus instead on our Leviathan Government which is the real cause of our economic problems.
As Government Grows Corruption Flows. We need look no further than Mexico for evidence of that.

  • Ret

What the hell is wrong with those people? That doctor (if you want to call him/her that) is a big pharma brainwashed piece of garbage that needs to have his/her name published, and have his/her license revoked. How many children will now go without needed treatment because of this. I hope that family ends up owning Detroit, they deserve it.

    • Jeryl

Don’t look now, but that’s the direction this nation is headed. The 2012 election is the most crucial this country has faced in the last 150 years. If we don’t get a good president and conservative majority in place, you can kiss the USA goodby.

  • Teresa

The arrogance of this administration knows no bounds! Who do these people think they are?! When did we lose the right to decide what is best for our own children? I never got that memo! Seems like we are in for a very long, hot summer! This poor woman and her daughter need all the prayers we can give them.

    • CJM

“When did we lose the right to decide what is best for our own children?” The day obama was voted into office–and with his deathcare bill now in place, it will only get worse. This act falls into the same category as his partner in crime, michelle, told you what you can give your children to eat at school and mcDonald’s.

      • kodster5

Yea, just like Marie Antoinette said, when she said “let them eat cake!”… look what happened to her and Louis IVX! I say that fate is just as good for these two liars.

    • Mac

We lost control long before Obama; at least as far back as Jimmy Carter, and very likely under Roosevelt. Probably we lost it when we started accepting government handouts in exchange for giving the government more money, i.e., Social Security.

  • SuzyQ

This sounds like a blatant coverup! They don’t want to give the girl up because they know the truth about the assualt will come out.
They should be sued big time!

  • jacrane

Don’t judge too fast. Don’t think this is the while story. I live in this area and there seems to be more to it. Still waiting to hear more.

    • JIBBS

What is there to wait for? Sorry, but you are wrong, what if it was you and your child?(if you have kids)

    • DaveH

The judge heard more and ruled against the Nazi State. What more do you need?

      • kodster5

Exactly! The Judge and the mother seem to be the only rational people in this situation. This is what happens when a doctor gets his treatment plan rejected, with his opinion that the mother doesn’t know jack crap about medicine and “what’s best for her child”, even though she’s well informed and can make a rational decision about the care of her child. He turns to Child Protection Services, and the social workers there (who, for the MAJORITY, are liberals who think that the nanny state is where it’s at) step in, without doing a full case investigation. NO ONE went to a judge… it was all administrative law that allowed CPS to step in and have this child taken into state custody.

This is what is strangling the US… it’s not the statutes (or laws) that state and federal legislation enacts… it’s the administrative law and regulations created by the likes of IRS, EPA, OSHA, USDA, ICC, and on down the line, to the county and city ordinances enacted by agencies. Those are the ones we need to rail against, and get rescinded. We were never to have been put under the auspices of these agencies, who are free to enact rules and regulations, without the controls of Congress to check and balance them.

        • http://runanddietired@sbcglobal.net Ron

By difinition and “administrative law judge” is just another attorney. My brother-in-law happens to be one of these sorry creatures. My definition of an administrative law event is #1, you are ordered to appear before the court without the benefit of a grand jury indictment. #2 you are given a trial without benefit of a jury. #3 sentence is imposed without benefit of an appeal. The courts have ruled that you give up all your constitutional rights when you enter the sphere of an administrative law court. Now, I don`t know about you but my feelings are that each of these “administrative law judges” have taken an oath of office with some vague reference to upholding, defending and other references to that pesky old document called the constitution. The only remedy in this situation I feel is to attach a 6 foot rope to the neck of the individual and the other end of that same rope to the top of a 20 foot tree. It is obvious to me that the individual is acting under the color of law and authority while committing treason. Court dismissed. It would be easy to resolve this little proplem if it were still 1780. Convene a citizens court, find the offender guilty, dispense justice and everyone go home. Long live judge Bean.

        • Jazzabelle

The very existence of agencies whose powers combine aspects of legislative, executive, and judicial power are baldly unconstitutional. That is why they operate by contract–that is, you must agree to give them jurisdiction over your life and family, or they don’t have it. The problem is that too few people know this. They think these agencies are legitimate functions of government; but they are not. I learned about this from TeamLaw.org, and I am in the process of freeing myself and my family from contracts that I signed with the state without bothering to check and see what the effects would be. I have hope again.

          • Kate8

It’s starting to look like those old movies about courts in communist countries. No jury, no defense. You’re here, you’re guilty.

    • Carlucci

From the previous article about this story that was featured on this site about a week or so ago, the problem started when the mother had her daughter vaccinated, then took her daughter to some kind of state run community center because she said her daughter had behavioral problems. Naturally, the solution was to medicate her daughter with ultra-strong psychotropic drugs, which made the problems much worse. Now she is stuck in this quagmire.

Something a bit similar happened to a friend of mine years ago, but with a happier ending. My friend is a divorced mother with two boys (who are now grown). Their dad was MIA. She had no idea where he was, so there was no father figure. Her parenting style was not wanting to be a parent, but a friend to her kids. Needless to say, the two boys had no manners, no boundaries, no rules, no chores, and they ran around like wild Indians. To her credit, they were obviously well fed and always looked neat and clean. But she was a terrible housekeeper. One day she came home and both boys were gone. Because of her lack of parenting skills, she never instructed her kids to leave her a note to say where they were if she wasn’t home when they left the house. She drove around the neighborhood for an hour and could not find them, so she called the sheriff’s department. A constable came to the house, peeked behind her and saw what a wreck the house was in. He asked if he could come in and look around, as maybe the boys were playing games and “hiding” from her. She let the constable in, which was a huge mistake. He walked all around the house, inside and out, and then went back to his car and called CPS (Children’s Protective Services – an agency here in Texas with a title that is a contradiction in terms). To make a long story short, the kids finally came home (they had been at a friend’s house the next street over), and a “social worker” from CPS showed up to investigate. My friend knew the reputation of CPS, saw what was coming, packed up the kids that night, and drove to a state far away from Texas.

So, the moral of the story is never to contact a state official or agency. They are not on your side. Unfortunately, this mom in Michigan has learned this the hard way.

  • Charlie Tall

Maybe SEAL Team 6 should visit a few of the Detroit bureaucrats and doctors in their homes in a manner similar to the way they visited bin Laden’s home…

…and release the pictures this time.

  • Stephen Metzger

I note a number of women responding to this story. As an activist for fathers’ rights for many years, I have seen this sort of thing occur many times, mainly directed toward men and fathers. Women took advantage of state intervention, often inviting it. Now you see, ladies, the state cares nothing for your children or you. Theirs is simply a quest for power and domination. Thank goodness there is a judge involved in the case that is at least somewhat independent of the DCC and CPS.

    • Patty

Stephen – I work with “family” law attorneys. They always seem to want to screw dad to the wall. Limited visitation, no say in the raising of the child plus you pay through the nose to watch them do a psch job on the kids. Many women are asking to remove dad (physically, not financially) only to crawl in bed with Uncle Sam.
My heart goes out to this woman. I had some contact with the school over a teenage step childs lack of respect towards others. She promised this minor that we had to provide them with an apartment, food, transportation, etc., etc. I promised her I would go after her personally and professionally plus sue the school. She told me she was going to put me on a “list”. I told her where she could put her list in no uncertain terms. They backed way off and went away. Stand and fight for what is right.

      • kodster5

Thanks, Patty! I tried to give everything my husband wanted… joint custody, full visitation rights, etc. He got what he wanted, and then failed to fulfill his OWN requests, instead choosing to ignore his kids. My oldest was his “princess”, and he turned his back on her, which caused more emotional damage than the divorce. I wanted my husband to have a full relationship with his kids, but I even had to fight with him to take them for a weekend, which is something he had written into the divorce papers, every two weeks! He didn’t want to be bothered, then, and when I finally DID get him to take them for a weekend, he would not pick them up until late Saturday morning, and brought them back very early Sunday afternoon, so I could never plan anything. He did it to get back at me, using them as pawns, instead of thinking of what they needed. I mean, the man even dropped them off on my front step, at the age of 6 and 1-1/2 years old, when I wasn’t even home, to run the neighborhood unattended!

    • DaveH

Good point, Stephen. I experienced that sort of malignant state benevolence myself. And I have personally heard many similar cases of custodial parents using their children as weapons against their ex.
The odd thing is that we hear often in the MSM about dead-beat fathers, but I have never seen a story done on the abuse dads suffer at the hands of the ex-wives using their children as clubs.

      • kodster5

DaveH, I guess I’m an exception to the rule, here. I wanted to make sure that didn’t happen, thinking of my kids’ emotional states. Only, HE used them against me, and I had physical custody, but joint custody involving major decisions for them. My oldest ended up being emotionally damaged as a result of his treatment of her, and she still is trying to have a relationship with him, but he has totally rejected her, his “little princess”. She resents me more than him over the whole thing, and she’s 31 years old now.

BTW, after the divorce, he came out of the closet… turns out he is gay, and used our marriage as a facade.

        • DaveH

Yeah, I have similar problems with my son. I raised him because he was old enough to choose (but my daughter wasn’t), and his mother treated him badly for several months to pay him back for choosing to live with me. Now, he gets mad at me if I tell him true events about things he experienced at her hands that he has suppressed and even denies. He does love me dearly though.

      • CJM

Davett: Read Kodster’s post just above your comment and you will see why many women went after the dads. No, it isn’t fair to take everything from the father, but when father’s do things to make the divorce miserable and then turn their back to the children once they get their way, what do you expect? Someone once said it is too difficult to get a divorce and too easy to get married…so if the process was reversed (difficult to get married and easy to get a divorce), perhaps there were be more marriages that were built on solid ground. Sometimes, I have to agree with that plain philosophy. People don’t seem to consider children as a factor in marriage and, as a consequence, it is the children who suffer the most. Too, look at the number of men producing children who don’t even bother to pay a penny towards their care–this is always left up to the woman. The problem is a product of both partners and the solution must come from both partners.

        • kodster5

AMEN, CJM! It takes two to make a baby, and it takes two to raise one properly. Thank God that I had a man in my children’s life, after the divorce, who took on the responsibility to be a dad to them, since their real dad abdicated the responsibility. They turned out, for the most part, stronger, as a result. My oldest still has emotional issues, but she’s dealing with them in her own way (I have no idea how, since she’s cut ME off from her), but my youngest is doing great, well-adjusted.

          • Robert Smith

What is her reason for cutting you off? Have you asked her?

I’m quite sure she didn’t wake up one day and simply decide to go the path she is on. There had to be a reason.

            Rob

        • DaveH

I wasn’t talking about the money, though as Libertarian I believe that ownership of property (that includes money) should be sacred. Therefore, once the marriage is over, I don’t believe the courts have a right to willy-nilly help themselves to distributing somebody else’s money. If for instance, it is determined that it takes X amount of dollars to provide for a child (say $500/month), that should apply to all parents equally regardless of their income. But anyway, as I said, that wasn’t what I was talking about earlier.
What I am upset by is the fact that custodial parents often use the children as tools to get back at the ex. I have known several men (and one woman) who have suffered that fate.
I’ll give you some examples from my own life. My brother gave my daughter a very nice jacket to use when she would be with me in the mountains (where I stayed on weekends). On subsequent visitations, the mother wouldn’t let my daughter bring that coat with her. On another occasion, we had just gotten back from a 2-week trip, and I was running late, so I asked my daughter to call her mother so she wouldn’t be worried. She was reluctant to call, so I had to nag her a little. So she called. We got there a half hour late (which, by the way was well within court guidelines). So, the next visitation, I arrived and she wouldn’t let my daughter out of the house for a half-hour to punish me. Another time, I was working in Arizona, and had to fly out to meet my visitation. I spent the weekend with my daughter and when I returned her home, the mother was nowhere to be seen. I waited a half-hour, then I was getting very nervous because my flight back to Arizona was leaving in 2 hours (last flight of the night) and
it took about 1 hour and 30 minutes to get to the airport. So I asked my daughter if she had any friends that I could leave her with. She said yes, there was a family with a girl her age who knew her mom and step-dad. So I ran her over there, met the parents who were very nice, and left her there. I had hell to pay for that move, being accused later of child-neglect and other such things. On another occasion, my daughter had asked if I would let her spend a day with an adult friend of hers who had lived near her but now lived near me. I said sure. So, on the weekend of the visitation I asked her about her friend, and she said she couldn’t go there, her mother wouldn’t let her. She wouldn’t even call and let the lady know she wasn’t coming because she thought her mother might find out and get angry. She wasn’t supposed to “mix friends”, i.e. be with people that knew both me and her mother. I could go on and on.
And if you think my experiences were rare, I can assure you they’re not as I’ve known several men that have suffered worse.
I could go on and on, but I think you get my point.

        • Jazzabelle

Hmm CJM … who would be responsible for making it more “difficult to get married?”

    • kodster5

And WHAT sex is the judge that is involved in this situation? A WOMAN! So, your statement goes out the window. This situation is where a doctor got his feelings hurt, because his “best” treatment plan went bye-bye by a woman who is well-informed enough to know what is best for her child, and did not fully trust the doctor who was assigned to her daughter. She did the right thing, and this is what she gets for it.

I’ve had doctors who prescribed treatment for me for ailments that I suffered. None of them knew what the hell they were doing, except prescribe pills for it… even though I told them ahead of time, I knew what I needed, what worked best for me, and the ONLY reason I came to them is because I needed to have a “medical” doctor refer me to the specialist in order for my insurance to pay for it! They refused, instead, prescribing pills, even after I told them I wasn’t coming to them for that.

Most doctors who have a “MD” behind their names have graduated from medical schools that treat symptoms, not the underlying conditions. These “medical doctors” DON’T know how to treat the underlying conditions, because they were never trained to look at the whole body, and how everything works together! Their answer is… drugs… who do you think pays for the medical schools? BIG PHARMA, who has the medical schools indoctrinate the doctors they train to prescribe drugs, and not look at alternative treatments.

People, stop being a sheeple, thinking that MDs are the answer, because they’re the best trained. No… please… look at doctors who are trained in holistics methods. Doctors of Osteopathy, or DOs. If drugs are the best course of action, then these doctors will prescribe them, but they also look at alternative methods, or a combination of the two. You’re more likely to get results with them.

As it is, all I wanted was a chiropractor referral. I have a bad back, and for years, I wouldn’t go to one, instead, taking the muscle relaxants the doctors prescribed, which did nothing for me, except knock me on my ass, flat out, for 3 days (real good when you’re trying to earn a living as a single parent of 2 children). I finally got into a situation where I was forced to have a chiropractor treat me, because he would make a house call (I was incapacitated and couldn’t move because I threw my back completely out) and a medical doctor wouldn’t come. That man treated me right there on the floor where I had ended up, got me up and moving, and made me feel better than I had in a very long time. Now, I swear by chiropractors. Of course, like any field, you have great ones, and you have quacks.

Sounds like this woman encountered a “quack” medical doctor who got offended, and threw a temper tantrum, and went running to the nanny state to get revenge. Now, look what he’s done!

      • CJM

Unfortunately, there are many MDs and DDSs who do NOT like it when you get a second opinion. When I needed a second opinion, I called the insurance company and they had no problem with it. I knew my physician would be upset so I told him the insurance company wanted another opinion. It didn’t bother me that he was angry with the company; I was just too darn sick to care! And, guess what–I wasn’t getting better because the medication was wrong. Did I change physicians? Yes I did, but I made sure the new one had no problems with second opinions.

        • kodster5

And that, CJM, comes from a well-informed partcipant in their own health care, along with everything else in life. People are too damned busy to think for themselves, and follow the advice of people who don’t have their best interests at heart. Sheeples, lemmings, whatever you want to call them, they are at fault for their own problems. It’s those like us that question and learn, from common sense application, and wanting to know what is best for themselves, that are the ones rising in anger.

          • Kate8

And when did we lose our right to choose what kind of health care we will have? When did medicine become an arm of the government?

I know some mothers who are terrified to take their kids to doctors when they seem too sick to know how to treat at home, because they are afraid of BigBro intervention, taking away their right to make decisions about their care. It used to be that doctors gave opinions, and we could decide whether to go that route. Now, it seems that they can override our right to choose.

This is completely unacceptable. We are not livestock.

          • karolyn

Kate – They should just not go to the doctor. Simple as that!

          • DaveH

            Karolyn,
            That was weak.

          • Kate8

karolyn – I do my best to treat my family with what I know and, thank God, thus far I’ve been successful.

There were times, though, when what I felt uncertain about what I was dealing with, and a diagnosis would have been helpful. When panic sets in because the illness is severe, and doesn’t appear to be resolving as fast as I’d like, it would be good to feel safe in consulting someone without fearing that they will usurp the family’s authority.

I want to retain the choice of whether to agree to a treatment or refuse it, for me or my family. This prevents some from seeking help when something like surgery could be needed.

We are living more and more under medical terrorism, and it could get really ugly, especially when they start really mandating things like vaccines and other drugs with no opting out.

            This is a serious situation.

          • Kate8

Jazzabelle – That was the purpose of the state requiring a marriage license.

I’m no expert in this area, but I think that until a person has a SS#, he can claim personal sovereignty. The SS# makes you officially government property.

The child deductions were the carrot used to entice parents to get their kids a #. I didn’t have one until I was 16 and wanted to get a job. No one thought anything about it back then.

          • Kate8

Also, today many millions of children are born every year outside of wedlock.

          • Bitter Libertarian

The first marriage Licences were strictly for Interracial Marriages…AFTER the 14th amendment was passed…same as Gun Permits…in order to be black and have posession of a firearm you had to have a permit (they were scared of Blacks going back and killing the slave owners.) Of cource they found this was also a PRIME opportunity to make money.
I’ve said it before and I will say it again…I am NOT alone in this understanding either…Before the 14th Amendment we had rights and were higher in the “Chain of Command” then Congress. Then the 14th created a U.S. Citizen who was “subject to” congress, laws, regulations…etc…You want your rights back its not going to be easy….Your happy being regukated like cattle…sit back, and sip the koolaide.
There is no reason a civilized nation needs to go backwards..reincarnating Rights can actually be a forward thing.

        • Carlucci

That was a very smart idea. Getting a second opinion and blaming it on your insurance company. I did that recently with a plumber who wanted to charge me out the nose. I told him I had to check with my insurance company to see if the problem was covered. I faxed over his bid to the insurance company. The adjuster contacted him and this plumber just couldn’t give them a reasonable explanation for the problem, so they sent their own people out and it was just a minor problem that was repaired for $265.00.

Your health is top priority, but on other stuff, I say always get a second opinion on everything!

          • DaveH

Arrgg! Sorry, none of my business, but please people, do not let pushy aggressive people turn you into liars. Just man up (or woman up) and tell them how it’s going to be. When we let people back us down, it will only get worse in the future.

          • Kate8

Good advice, DaveH. That’s what I have always done.

Nodays, though, if we are dealing with our kids, the government could step in and take them away.

I tried to tell my daughter not to get her son a SS# when he was born, but she wanted it for the tax deduction (which is going away, anyway). By doing so, she basically placed him under the jurisdiction of the State, trumping parental rights.

          • http://teamlaw.org Jazzabelle

            Kate,

My understanding is, it is the marriage license, not the SS#, that gives the state jurisdiction over your children. See http://www.teamlaw.org.

I went to a D.O. last summer for adrenal fatigue and other health issues that were caused by tired adrenals. After taking a comprehensive blood panel and saliva test, the doctor sat down with me to show me the results of the tests, gave me some excellent supplements, and a prescription to a compounding pharmacy for all natural hormone replacement therapy. She also told me to stop drinking coffee and anything else with caffeine, and to stay away from sugar and any artificial sweeteners. Within a week I was back on the road to recovery and I felt and continue to feel better (mentally and physically) than I have in years.

I think the only thing allopathic doctors are good for is setting broken bones.

Government is out of control at all levels. Get the US out of the UN, and get the UN out of the US. Otherwise, all liberty will be lost.

    • DaveH

Did you watch the Republican debates on Fox last night? Ron Paul was getting big applause whenever he answered a question, and that from a Conservative South Carolina audience. The Repubs are going to have a hard time marginalizing Ron this time around with Fox giving him a platform.

      • Kate8

DaveH – I did see that. Good for him.

        • newspooner

As a point of information for others who might not be as well infromed, Ron Paul regularly files Bills to get the US out of the UN, and to repeal the federal income tax. Research by several of our trusted modern scholars, including Chip Wood, indicates that Ron not only has the best voting record (supporting the Constitution and individual freedom) of anyone in Congress in recent years, but is also probably the best Congressman EVER. And, he is personally 100% honest and trustworthy.

          • DaveH

And most of the leadership, whether Republican or Democrat, want him to go away. They like their power and perks, and they and their Crony Capitalists don’t want anybody upsetting their apple cart. Yes, the Democrats also have Crony Capitalists. One very blatant example is GE. Those followers who think the Democrat leaders care about them are sorely mistaken. They are just using the followers for votes. When they no longer need their votes, the useful idiots best leave this country.

Ron Paul looked and acted a little off the wall, isolationist bs might have worked better 75 years ago, and it will take years to untangle the web. If you like businesses here to be owned by Americans, I see no probablem, which will have to be done by the states. Herman Cain was way better and was more serious about getting things done right. and he isn’t a nonstop fixture in the beltway.

    • DaveH

Ron Paul is not isolationist. He is a champion of free markets both domestically and internationally. The right-wing militarists call him such because he doesn’t want the United States to be the world’s policemen.
Right-Wingers use the label “Isolationist” against anybody who doesn’t think our Government should be butting into every other country’s business. Just like the Liberals use terms such as “heartless” to describe people who don’t think it’s the right of Government to distribute our money as they please. Just manipulation, plain and simple.

      • newspooner

Actually, I think we should break the habit of use such terms as “right-wingers” and “liberal” since they are so frequently very misdefined and misused. Rightwing comes from an archaic context that is mixed in its political connotations. And liberal should mean favoring liberty. If one must simplify ideological location, “statist” and “constitutionalist” are better starting points, but admittedly, even these terms leave something to be desired.

        • DaveH

Such is the english language, often not very precise.
When I talk of Liberals, I speak of those who cast aside the teachings and beliefs of our original Founders (Jefferson, Madison, Washington, etc.). When I talk of Conservatives, I speak of those who embrace those concepts of Freedom as put forward by our Founders. By my definition, most of the Republicans (leaders) are Liberal.
Typically, Liberalism implies the desire to change the old systems, and Conservatism implies the desire to retain the old systems. Therefore, A Liberal in Russia would be entirely different than a Liberal in the US.
If we eliminated all confusing words in the English language, we wouldn’t have much to say anymore, would we Newspooner?

Second opinions are a necessity, not an evil option to discredit a physician. Any physician who expresses anger towards a patient for obtaining a second opinion should not be licensed because it generally means they know nothing about treatment plans, let alone the illness they have diagnosed. The court, in this case, should toss all charges against the mother and return the child to her, not a relative. Michigan Legislators should be ashamed of themselves for imposing a communistic form of government onto their constituents…and it was all done without public knowledge or support, I’ll bet. That’s the problem with legislation–too frequently, the legislators can (and do) pass bills that have a huge effect on the public they serve and don’t let the people know until after the fact. Much of this type of legislation has an adverse effect and certainly does not promote a positive life-style for the constituents. Michigan residents should be up in arms and demanding this legislation be declared null and void.

It is not all from Obama! When my granddaughter was 13 she had some volatile emotional problems. She was later found to have polycystic ovaries, which causes hormonal ups and downs. She is 21 now and doing much better. Back then, schools were GETTING PAID to have as many children as possible placed in “STUDIES” and diagnosed as bipolar and placed on drugs. She fit their criteria. She was going through puberty, her mother had to take a job out of town, Her little brother and Foster brother delighted in teasing her unmercifully and causing her to have meltdowns. She was placed on some drug that caused her to behave like a robot. She walked with her hands out in front of her and had a glazed look in her eye. She had sessions with a counselor and participated in group therapy sessions. Suddenly I began hearing of so many other children who were diagnosed as bipolar! It was the DISEASE DU JOUR! Turns out, schools were getting a LOT of money for that! My granddaughter turned out to be smarter than anyone else involved. She hated the way the meds made her feel so she just stopped taking them! She eventually got her emotions under control. The Foster brother moved to another state with his father and her own brother and I had a long talk. He stopped tormenting her. She settled down and was able to enjoy her high school years. She won many honors in 4H and FFA. She is now a PROUD MARINE! This was going on long before we ever heard of Barak Obama. All he has done is make it worse! But, he did not start this mess. Our government was out of control even before he came along. If your children are in PUBLIC SCHOOLS, GET THEM OUT OF THERE!!

Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome is caused by diet – eating too much processed and junk food. It can be easily cured by switching to a whole food diet, and ditching sodas, candy, McDonalds, etc.

And just what law is it that allowed them to take a child from her home and family due to the fact that the mother chose a different course of treatment for her daughter that turned out to be the best choice? When did they pass a law that says the state has the right to choose medical treatment for our children? This is our future with Obamacare. • Thamera

Not only that, diagnosing children with SED’s (severe emotional disorders) is BIG business. It is a HUGE money maker. Quite often it only takes a parents input to make the diagnosis as well. If services are wanted, the child undergoes a comprehensive diagnostics assessment or a psych eval. I have been present at both tests for children I work with and it is such a joke. Keep in mind the money exchanging hands here. First, there are the doctors who have to see the child, then there is another doctor who “manages their meds” then there is the psychologist who performs the psych eval, then there are the multitude of service providers who work with the child after the diagnosis has been made: Your counselors, psycho-social rehab workers, developmental therapists, etc. Make no mistake, there is a vested interest in making these diagnosis and keeping our kids doped up. In addition, SED’s diagnosis have more than tripled in the last 30 years, as well as the use of psychotropic drugs and anti-depressants. It might be interesting to note that ADHD is considered an SED. And, has anyone ever questioned the statistics about Autism and why it went from “1 in 5,000″ to suddenly “1 in 150″ or something like that? The reason, is because ADHD is considered part of the autism spectrum. The autism spectrum is HUGE and encompasses everything from ADHD to Aspberger’s and then some and just about everyone has there hand in the pie. The more I work in this industry, the more disgusted and distrustful I become of the “so-called professionals” making all of these diagnosis and “professional” recommendations. Trust me, there is no incentive in the medical profession to make people “well.”

    • Carlucci

My D.O. told me that “diseases” or “disorders” like ADD and ADHD are simply one of the many symptoms of fatigued or exhausted adrenal glands, which she says is a national epidemic. I don’t doubt that for a minute, because stress leads to this condition. Putting someone on pharmaceuticals for depression, or bi-polar, or whatever other “mental illness” they can come up with just stresses the adrenals worse.

If people would wake up and understand that their food choices, life styles, stress, alcohol and/or caffeine consumption, lack of sleep, over stimulation from t.v., etc., are the real causes of their health problems, they might wake up and want to make some changes. Of course, that takes an effort and people don’t want to make an effort. They just want to show up at their allopathic doctor’s office where he will give them and their kids free samples to get them hooked on depression meds.

      • Thamera

Not only that Carlucci, but a diagnosis of ADHD, bi-polar etc., entitles you to the government world of “freebies”. SSI, free meds, specialized resources for counseling, PSR and therapy etc. If people would bother to educate themselves in the slightest before blindly swallowing any pill the doctor gives them, they would realize that diet, just for one is a HUGE mitigating factor in mental wellness. The few families that I work with that have bothered to educate themselves beyond what their doctors recommends have found few “friends” helping them achieve their goals outside the parameters of the so called medical professionals. It is a very sad thing. And that doesn’t even touch on the abject dysfunction of a lot of the families I work with: single parents, drug abuse, uneducated, lack of parenting skills, no stability in the home, boyfriends/girlfriends in and out, yelling, screaming, fighting, disrespect emotional and physical abuse…give me 5 minutes in a home and I can tell you why a child has a behavior problem, like anger issues and I don’t have a degree in psychology!

        • Carlucci

Thamera, I understand what you are saying. My sister works for the third largest school district here in Texas, and I was floored when she told me how many parents of the students are in prison. I thought she was talking just about fathers in prison, but she said it was a fairly even number of MOMS and dads. Some of the stories she has told me are so awful and heartbreaking, I asked her not to tell me any more.

On the flip side, my sister is well meaning and cares about the students at her high school. Unfortunately she is indoctrinated and clueless when it comes to this medication thing and has bought into it lock, stock, and barrel. She thinks it is not only perfectly acceptable for schools to recommend medicating kids, it is a must! She herself takes Ritalin for her “A.D.D.”, even though I can tell just by looking at her that she has adrenal fatigue/exhaustion, and has had it for years. All she does every weekend is sleep. I’ve tried explaining a.f. to her and telling her about my own experience (and the success I had which is posted above), but it is like talking to a brick wall.

I just don’t understand people and their abnormal thinking. Sometimes I would just love to sell my house, pack up, and get as far away from the city as I can. One of the happier times of my life was when I lived on a big farm in the Ozarks when I was a kid. Lots of play time outdoors, helping my mom with our big vegetable garden, feeding the livestock, and we were only allowed to watch limited amounts of television, etc. It was such a quiet and peaceful way to live. I really miss it.

About 6 months ago, I started having issues which involved getting nauseous ever time that I ate anything. being a Vet; I decided to use the VA and my benefits. I was given an CT scan which revealed that I have a tumor on my Adrenal gland on the right side. Five weeks later I had a MRI done, which confimed the mass on the gland. My Doctor then ordered a test to see if the tumor was producing hormones on it’s own (Due to the fact that I was putting on weight only in my upper body) and he was worried that I may be suffering from Cushing’s Syndrome. He ordered the tests and ordered drugs to be taken before the test which would supress the Adrenal glands production of hormones ( to see if hormones were still being produced by the tumor). Since the pills needed to be ordered from another facility, I set up the tests for 3 weeks in the future. The next day I got a call from the “supervisor” ( beauraucrat) saying that I needed to have the tests done within one week and that she was was changing my appointment. The day before the new appointment I still didn’t have the “pills” so I called and cancelled the appointment and rescheduled for the original appointment date. Two days before that appointment, I finally got the pills….did my urine samples etc… and proceded to my appointment. When I got there, I was informed that my samples would not be taken…because there was a note on my file stating that “patient has refused the Doctors orders and will no longer be treated”…written by?…you guessed it…the supervisor. Needless to say I pitched a fit and demanded to see the my doctor…who did agree to see me…by appointment…needless to say…the pills and urine samples were wasted and had to be re-ordered upon my meeting with the doctor…the “supervisor” was called on the carpet and reammed by the doctor and told in no uncertain terms that it was not her job to decide his patients care… and that had I complied with her rescheduling order, the results would have a false positive… resulting in a possibly un-nessesary surgery. As of now, I am awaiting the next batch of pills…to retest my hormone levels. This is why beaureacrats do not need to be involved in doctor/patient relations…they don’t have a clue about medicine…but still think that they know what’s best for us….

‘Mental illness’ is described in the DSM. I think we’re up to revision IV or so. Do you know how they decide what the illness is ??? Are you ready??? By COMMITTEE! Now, doesn’t that make you feel better. And to help big pharma, every time they revise it, new mental illnesses are added, but if there are too many complaints, they’re dropped. Used to bes homosexuality, was a mental illness. Now, it’s obviously “cured” and has been removed. However, a new one is someone who is ‘overly’ concerned with eating healthy food. This child’s mother is obviously mentally ill, she’s overly concerned about the health and well being of her child. That’s got to fit the new profile. Right? Oh, and just as another aside, not one scientific study has ever determined a chemical imbalance, or what chemical in the brain causes mental health issues. Read the inserts in your meds, not the watered down pieces of paper the pharmacy gives you. Bottom line? More mental illnesses, more payment by insurances, more money for big pharma.

I suppose there were many in pre-Nazi Germany who said the same thing. Many of us prefer not to tip-toe through the tulips while our country collapses around us.

          • Thamera

Excellent point DaveH. Many accounts of the jews who survived the holocaust were like “lambs to the slaughter” literally being led to their death because they refused to question what was really going on.

karolyn – I am aware that there are good things going on, and those are the things that keep me going.

It’s just that the assault on our liberties and our very lives increases every day, coming faster and faster, and they are of such enormous, life altering impact that trying to maintain some semblance of normalcy feels a bit futile at times.

That is why I occasionally take a few days off from thinking about it and do fun things. I’ve stopped watching TV and listening to most radio (except Coast to Coast), and I’m spending more time with other things.

There are some issues of personal sovereignty that are non-negotiable with me. One is healthcare. I will simply never submit.

Hey Kate – I washed a few clothes last night and used 1/8 cup of the TSP we talked about yesterday (water level was on medium because it wasn’t a full load). One of the items was a white terry cloth robe that I’ve had for a few years that was looking pretty dingy, no matter how often I washed it. Well, guess what? It came out snowy white and it smelled wonderful – very fresh, just like clean clothes should smell. This was accomplished on a cold water wash. I wonder what will happen when I do a set of white sheets on a warm water wash with some TSP…

        • Kate8

Carlucci – I can’t wait to try it. I’m going out to the store tomorrow.

Here I’ve been blaming my washing machine.

          • newspooner

You should be blaming the ecofreaks instead of your poor, innocent washing machine. TSP is trisodium phosphate. It is scorned by those who think they are saving the environment by limiting individual freedom in so many different areas of life. That is why you probably didn’t know about using it to clean clothes. The only environmental precaution you need to take in using it is to avoid having the runoff from your washing machine go into the ground too close to a pond or lake (like less than 100 feet) because all phosphates are very effective at promoting the growth of algae, and I suspect you would prefer swimming in clear water instead of green scummy water. Besides that, it is a nuisance to clean the scum off your fishing lure after every cast.

We need to get ‘REAL AMERICANS’ into public office at ALL LEVELS NOW!!!!!!
I too have experienced the Gestapo like behavior of the government thugs – but the only way to surely get this to change is to elect and then, appoint honest, reasonable and caring people to these positions.

The CPS must go!! People are literally affraid to punish their own kids because of the CPS. That is one reason why kids are the way they are. In a public place people are affraid to yell or smack their kids for screaming or kicking or doing other things that you all have already seen in public places such as stores and resturants. The sole thought of someone calling CPS prevents them from correcting their children. I hope that Maryanne can and will sue the living hell out of CPS. It just isnt right.

First, your mother is an example of what WE all should be doing.
Now, can you understand now why so many are medically treating themselves. I suppose we just need to stay out of the system so there are no records, no paper trails. As far as punishing kids, there is a fine line though that we shouldn’t cross. Biblically, but of course who follows the wisdom in the bible anymore, we as parents are supposed to love our children and one way to show that is to discipline them. BUT, we also need to train them up, teach them right from wrong and not leave it up to the state (the school) to do that for us. Teachers resent that you know and then the kids are disliked by the teachers..I know, I worked in the school setting and saw it first hand. SO, keep your kids close, teach them well and love them the best you can because you know that CPS doesn’t really give a crap about our kids, they just want to control us. If this is what our kids see everyday, this will become normal to them and soon enough no one will know the difference.

I saw a great program on FSTB (Free-speechTV) today, about our medical system vs alternative heathcare. They were talking about the Gerson method for treatment of degenerative diseases, and the profound success with it. Still, conventional medicine refuses to acknowledge it, or anything other than “science”.

The other thing they mentioned was that scientists and doctors who work on developing vaccines DO NOT VACCINATE THEIR OWN CHILDREN.

Watch what they DO, ignore what they say.

alot of you people it seems have not had the pleasure of having what i call the gestapo (child services) involved in your life as a past victom i will tell you they have the power to take your child away from you with no more than an accusation u are considered guilty untill proved innocent it isnt a dem or rep thing just another agency with too much power and not enough knowledge i am 52 and the spankings which i deserved and needed as a child is now considered abuse go figure my parents were good people but if you were to spank a child nowadays with a belt or switch child services would be all over you like gravy on rice and telling you to put them on riddlin or else its true my 1st grade girl child talked a little in kindergarden KINDERGARDEN people and they showed up at our house and said put her on add drugs or else to which i said we will take the or else next thing you know they took her off the school bus one day said we were unfit and we spent thousands of dollars and 6 years to get her back we had her tested she is not add but 6 years on the meds when we took her off she could not function what a crock of shit i say

The cps pigs don’t need to be jailed, NO, they should be tried for the crime of MURDER. You see, to forcibly rip apart a family is just like killing a living being or entity. This is because a family as a whole fits the definition of a conscious living organism. ERGO 1).A family autonomously declares its own creation. 2).It has its own collective immune defense system that allows it to ward off and defend itself against outside attack, and then to repair and heal itself afterward and to even refine glitches within its own body politic to solidify family loyalty and further fortify itself from learned enemies. 3).It develops and grows in stages and is self-aware, with the mature family becoming independent and needing NO external governance, with the family assembly more resembling a micro nation-state, if you will. 4).Its distinct heartbeat is detected in the ‘what shall WE do’ motive force mapping the family’s course of direction during its times of togetherness. – - Gee, I’d say that fits the definition of a living being, true? So to all of you PETTY LOCAL TYRANTS AND CPS BUREAUCRATS – YOU HEAR ME NOW ! ! KEEP YOUR FILTHY SOCIALIST HANDS OFF OUR CHILDREN ! IS THAT CLEAR? Whether you are directly esponsible for butchering one family or a thousand, or whether you merely held the theater ropes, YOU ARE ALL CULPABLE. You all have blood on your hands. We the people WILL DELIVER JUSTICE. Yes indeed, the nuclear family is greater than the individual. Greater than its sums in fact. To dismember a family is thus a greater crime than the murder of a mere individual. We THE PEOPLE must cry out ‘TRY THEM FOR MURDER’ – ‘TRY THEM FOR MURDER’ – ‘TRY THEM FOR MURDER’. May the message ring across our land, from sea to shining sea, that the murderers BE GONE and that THE ALMIGHTY FAMILY LIVES ! !
