Who will hit the campaign trail as Mitt Romney's running mate?

In my remarks last week regarding the 3.5-year sideshow that has been the Vice Presidential tenure of Joe Biden, I mentioned that I would soon be subjecting Biden’s aspiring replacements to an examination at least as detailed as one of those fancy five-color pie charts USA Today employs to avoid hiring any qualified reporters. I intended to wait a few weeks, but recent word filtering out of the Mitt Romney camp is that the presumptive Republican Presidential nominee plans an announcement soon; so unto the breach goeth I.

In The Second Banana, I pointed out the old trope regarding a running mate’s minimally positive effect on a campaign. If the Presidential candidate doesn’t bring the lumber, his running mate isn’t likely to hit any pinch-hit home runs. However, a strong pick is less likely to weigh Romney down like a political millstone. Biden has enjoyed a free ride from the corporate media. Romney’s running mate will receive no such charity.

Among the aspirants:

  • Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice: Despite repeated denials that she has any interest in the job, her speech at Romney’s Park City, Utah, confab says otherwise. She’s brilliant; a Rice-Biden debate would be reminiscent of a football game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders — even if Biden doesn’t bring his pom-poms. On the downside, she totes hefty neocon baggage; and she will have serious questions to answer about her stance on abortion.
  • Senator Marco Rubio (R-Fla.): He’s young and vibrant, and he could broaden Romney’s appeal to Hispanic voters. His conservative credentials are excellent. He would boost Romney in Florida, which is as likely as ever to be one of the central battleground States. However, eligibility issues have touched him. The Democrats, incapable of grasping irony, will hammer him for his murky Cuban roots.
  • Representative Allen West (R-Fla.): Battle-tested and fearless, West’s presence would be formidable. Some suggest his lack of experience could work against him, although Obama’s resume prior to his first Senatorial campaign was thinner than a runway model. Like Rice, West has the temerity to be a Republican despite being black, which will touch off racist attacks from the Democrats that will make their lynching of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas seem like TV night at the senior center. A word of caution about West, by the way: The Heritage Foundation scored him 69 percent.
  • New Jersey Governor Chris Christie: He’s tough, even combative. Any conservative has to admire how Christie handled the Garden State’s union thug infestation as effectively as the union thugs — ahem — allegedly deal with FBI informants. But even Christie would need a miracle to move New Jersey out of the “Obama-safe” column. And his resume beyond New Jersey is a lot thinner than he is.
  • Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal: His record on taxes is rock solid. He may force Democrats to reveal their racist roots in a highly visible manner. But his 2009 State of the Union response speech was beyond atrocious, raising questions as to whether he can bolster Romney’s message in a meaningful manner.
  • Senator Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.): She hails from New Hampshire, which connects her to Romney; he spends a considerable amount of time there. Unfortunately, despite her Republican label, she’s no more conservative than Romney.
  • Senator John Thune (R-S.D.): I know some observers worry about picking a guy from a politically lightweight State. I would respond by pointing out that Dick Cheney is from Wyoming. In addition, I like South Dakota. However, Thune voted in favor of last year’s $2.4 trillion debt limit increase and the funding reauthorization of the fiscally useless Export-Import Bank.
  • Senator Rob Portman (R-Ohio): He’s telegenic and he’s from Ohio, which will — like Florida — be a key swing State again this year. Among his negatives: Portman represents a great opportunity for Romney to select a running mate even more “moderate” and white-bread than he is. Also, “Senator who?”

I didn’t mention all the players vying for second billing in the next White House reality show. Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell is probably the most prominent among them. All of them offer something; although in some cases, the something is an unnerving lack of strong conservative credentials. Rumor has it Romney will announce a running mate as soon as this week. Bob Livingston is available; although he’s far too smart for the job.

I don’t know who Mitt will pick but boy oh boy, hillary sure looks like she could use a spa weekend! Yikes, she’s morphing into a twin of that maloney women from NY.

    • JTB

Hah Hah, hah, you’re making me laugh! I agree she looks haggared!

  • Tom Cook

Ben you are far too smart to pander; Rice is a fraud just like obongo she and Colin Powell are both affirmative action products. Rice is not brilliant–she is less than mediocre and has absolutely no spine. Allen West has guts and brains. I am unsure about the Heritage Foundation rating–have not seen it, but would appreciate a referral to it. Except for Paul Ryan whom you do not mention, the rest are just vanilla ice cream cones and will do Romney no slightest bit of good. Rubio is not a natural born citizen–he’s out. Christie is notable only for his obesity–he is at best a RINO.

    • Flashy

West? The only place West should be going is straight to the looney bin. Romney will go Southern or Midwestern. My bet is Ryan…

      • Nancy in Nebraska

West would make romney look just a tiny bit better. Still won’t get my vote though!

  • dan

There’s ONE WAY that Mitt can get my vote ….mend fences and ask…ne,BEG
Ron Paul to be his co-president.

    • Nadzieja Batki

Romney may just have to pick Ron Paul. Anyone else will make him appear a human dud.
Ron Paul may also be the safest bet for Romney as the media has already picked Ron Paul apart and found no faults in him.
Romney will do more harm to himself if he picks VPs based on gender or race.

    • Nancy in Nebraska

That would be like asking a lamb to stand watch over a pen of wolves.

      • Nadzieja Batki

As long as the lamb is outside the pen and the pen is sturdy, then that is not much of a problem.

  • http://survivingurbancrisis.wordpress.com Silas Longshot

Any of the above or a total surprise like Palin was……they will be attacked by the leftist media with vitriol and vigor. They better be up to it.

    Surviving urban crisis.

  • Flashy

President Obama is only just beginning to play the game with Willard. It’s going to be close in the popular vote as all presidential elections are, and electoral is Obama garnering 307-312 … and Willard sucking air.

Any VP choice will be accepting to set up for 2016. Any selection will be one who doesn’t have to resign from office or cede an election to run for VP.

Here’s my view for August . Pres. Obama is going to play by the GOP rules. Which is…no rules. And for being the fighter, for scrapping it out in a bare knuckle bar brawl…the Demeocratic troops will be fired up and saying “finally…a fight!”. face it, the Dems have been patsies and letting the Far Right take free shots for way too long. After Clinton left office, they’ve been wusses and the troops have been resigned to having the GOP lie, play rough without any hint of decorum, and basically running all over ‘em.

Obama coming into the match swinging and ready for a scrap…and Willard ain’t gonna know what hit him.

Look for August to be one where the Senate and House GOP candidates are funded to the hilt in an attempt by the GOP to hold the House and not lose seats in the Senate. Romney is toast…

    • Fran Schroeder

I believe that you have your facts mixed up. I have seen lies, more lies and damned lies from the likes of the Democratic Party and its major representatives (not to name names)! The ruthless slander against Sarah Palin and her family was over the top. Anyone who is in politics has to lie and pay BIG money to cover up their tracks such as our current president has done. Does anyone care???? Obama smiles his charming smile and people don’t seem to care much about his past and his character. Believe me, character does count with many people.

    • Flashy

Can anyone say…Swiftboating, Willie Horton, and on and on.

Adlai Stevenson said it best ““If the Republicans will stop telling lies about the Democrats, we will stop telling the truth about them.”

      • JUKEBOX

Jukebox says if the Democrats stop telling lies about us, we might consider not asking for the Democrats to be truthful at least 50% of the time.

    • Nancy in Nebraska

Hope you enjoy the “SHOW”! That’s ALL it is!!!

    • Vigilant

Flashy says, “President Obama is only just beginning to play the game with Willard. It’s going to be close in the popular vote as all presidential elections are, and electoral is Obama garnering 307-312 … and Willard sucking air.”

Flashy SAID (on May 18, this site), ” I have it Obama garnering 312-329 electoral votes…”

Looks like your confidence is beginning to wane, Flashy. Unless you’re like Joe McCarthy and just throw out numbers randomly.

  • J. M. Lukes

Rubio and Jindal are not eligible for President/Vice President. Article II of the US Constitution clearly states that the President must be a Natural-Born citizen (or) a citizen of the USA. Fine. What happens if the POTUS dies/is killed, etc.? The provision in Article II is that the Vice President shall assume the Presidency. If the VP is NOT eligible to become the POTUS, he CANNOT ASSUME THE PRESIDENCY! End of story people, so STOP pushing for INELIGIBLE people to be Mitt Romney’s running mate!

    • Flashy

Rubio and Jindal won’t be chosen because there is a small contingent which interprets the US Constitution in a weird wacked out way that has no bearing to reality…and he needs their votes if he’s to even have a ghost of a chance.

They’re eligible to hold the office. Fact is fact.

      • Nancy in Nebraska

More “doublespeak” from flashy! Do you think if you say it enough, it becomes truth?!?

      • Flashy

What’s doublespeak about it? Rubio and Jindal are eligible for the office. only a small percentage of Americans believe otherwise. And…pardon me if I am in error…but has there been any SCOTUS ruling the past 100 years that the TP agrees with…other than Citizens United which opens the door to the controllers of the TP being able to control the elections?

      • Alan

I think you have totally lost it, Flashy! Are the McDoubles getting to you? Really, I have never encountered such a Constitutional hack and Party Tool such as yourself! You’ll trot out any old garbage for unsuspecting individuals to buy…. I digress! The founders wrote the framing documents so that a 3rd grader could read and understand them and yet you only go back 100 years…. Typical Progressive Tool! No historical value at all and you quickly sweep under the rug the harm the Progressive Era did to society!

    • Nancy in Nebraska

Wrong again, flashy! Here’s 4 supreme court cases that define “natural born citizen”.

It seems, given Romneys Milk-Toast Campaign, that it makes little difference who he selects , first he will need to WIN ! Where in the HE!! is the Slash and burn, take no prisoners, flay them alive, Primary Candidate? The guy who excoriated, demonized, belittled, and attempted to totally destroy his Republican opponents !
Now, faced with the continued, outrageous accusations, some even declaring him a Felon, of Obama & Co., he sputters back with ” Aw Gee, don’t you think you should appologize ? ” or ” Shucks now that’s not really true .”
On the outside possibility, hope does spring eternal, that Romney stumbles his way into the Presidency, I very much like Condalessa Rice . However her Pro- choice stanse would alienate too many on the far Right! I also like Rubio, Christy, and Jindal, too unproven I’m afraid. We must consider that if Romney does attempt to follow his stated agenda, many on the far left, and not just a few Muslims, might try to take him out ! the Vice- President might just become the President !
My favorite is again unavailable, Gary Johnson, so it’s either John Thune or John Bolten for my choice !

    • mark

You can’t be serious about that war-mongering interventionist John Bolton? The fanatical supporter of the disasterous Iraq War who now wants us to attack Iran, provoke another Cold War with Russia and China, and strongly back Israel’s illegal and immoral military occupation of the West Bank that foments so much anti-Western terrorism? Please, Boltan is a ferocious interventionist, militarist, and extremist who would hugely destablize an already shaky world.

      • Nadzieja Batki

There is nothing wrong with Bolton. There is something wrong with your reasoning capabilities.
Our nation has all the characteristics of the Roman Empire with all its Legions deployed across the known world. They brough law and order across the world. They kept order and put down rebellions. They brought justice to the known world even if the people didn’t want it. This is a nutshell explanation.

      • Flashy

Nad..didn’t you you mean ‘this is a nut’s explanation” ..

      • mark

Yeah Nadzieja, and what happened to the Roman Empire in 476 A.D.? It ended, bankrupt and broken, a former shadow of itself. Andvsomeof the main reasons? Engaging in endless wars with all its neighbors and enemies in its endless effort to dominate others, spending huge amounts of its burgeoning taxes on a bloated military that proved ineffective in the end.

    • Nancy in Nebraska

I think the thing that we should be focusing on is: why ISN’T romney TRYING to win?!? It’s easier to push through the agenda with an already recognized communist. And they can say, the peopled WANTED it! I think it fixed and romney is trying to LOSE!

      • Flashy

Romney isn’t trying to lose. he’s already lost. The GOP had a slate of weird, wacked out, out of touch with reality slate of candidates. The ones who would have a chance in a general (Pawlenty and Huntsman) were denigrated by the far Right American Taliban/TP/far Right contingent … leaving Romney with a very weak field to run against.

In essence, when president Obama wins in November, he’ll be thanking the contingent that gave him the weakest opponent possible.. the TP/American Taliban/Far Right.

Huntsman would be dead even or ahead had he been the choice. Pawlenty would be even or barely behind. THANK YOU TPers !!!!!

      • http://gravatar.com/bychoosing Jay

I don’t know about that, Flashy. Personally, i think there will, be a “Changing of the Guard”, (inconsequential), but the “status-quo”, that being, the destruction of America, will continue. At least with the new “Prince”, people will get a different face to look at, while promising the same old-two-lies as all the rest have promised, “Hope” and “Change”!

      • Nancy in Nebraska

        Flashy, you prove my point!

  • Ron

In a Related Story, this just in: Mitt Romney met last week at a country club in Wyoming with Dick Cheney, former unelected President who ran America into the ground during the “Bush Administration”. He gave us secret meetings with the oil companies which resulted in gas price spikes and record oil company profits, he gave us waterboarding, Abu Ghraib, Blackwater Security (America’s new corporate army), and of course, record profits for Halliburton/KBR no-bid contracts during the Wars to Nowhere.

Or as I like to call ‘em, “The Decider’s War”

I also call ‘em the “War to Get W’s Picture Taken On An Aircraft Carrier While a Braindead Nation Chants “U-S-A” and Spends $4-6 Trillion Dollars They Don’t Have Urinating All Over The Middle East and Wondering Why They ‘Hate Us’ ”

Cheney started to call it “Operation Iraqi Liberation” and then realized the acronym was “O.I.L.” and figured that hit too close to the truth, so he changed it to Operation Iraqi Freedom. Of course they completely bungled the operation so they got no oil from the deal, but “American” (multi-nationally owned) oil companies got record profits anyhow, so don’t worry.

No joke, it was THAT Dick Cheney that Mitt Romney met with last week to get his blessing, behind the scenes, behind the curtain. No TV cameras were allowed and Fox News remained deathly (pun intended) silent on the event.

Former President Cheney just wants to make sure that Lord Romney of the New Confederacy will toe the Karlrovian Confederate line and usher in a glorious new decade that will make him Dick Cheney 2.0

It’s important to have a Cheney 2.0 in place if we are to complete the conversion of America into a country that will be completely subservient to our Corporatocracy, handing over our money in corporate welfare as they finish looting the place and offshoring themselves.

They’ve taken over the prisons, and now the “land of the free” incarcerates more Americans than anywhere else on earth.

They’ve taken over the Supreme Court, and in 2008 we had our last free election.
This one’s going in the record books for Corporate spending to elect the best president money can buy.

They’re taking over our food supply, our water supply, gutting environmental protection and soon America can look just like any third-world country on earth, with that glorious brown pall of pollution from sea to oily-slick sea that looks like Mexico and smells like profit$.

And, naturally, the well-heeled are offshoring themselves, renouncing their citizenship and deserting this place like rats jumping from the Titanic they have worked so diligently to sink.

But there’s still a few that need to get off, so we need a Cheney 2.0 to keep hoodwinking stupid people long enough to finish the job–the way W’s friend Ken Lay did at Enron, cheerleading the employees into buying more company stock–literally–the day before he locked them all out of the building and pocketed the loot.

And if Cheney 2.0 wants our opinion on how to run the Nation Formerly Known As America into the ground, he’ll waterboard it out of us.

    • Nancy in Nebraska

They didn’t go to war with Iraq to get the oil. They did it to protect the petrodollar. Hussein was going to sell oil without the use of the petrodollar. It was critical to protect the dollar as the reserve currency. The petrodollar is the only thing that helps the dollar keep its value. Without reserve status, the printing of dollars would have bankrupted us long ago!

      • Flashy

Errrr…Nancy, think back…under the embargo Clitnon set up and had him bottled up with, Sammy couldn’t sell any oil except a strictly limited amount set by the UN for “humanitarian reasons”.

      • Alan

Yeah Flashy, so that Kofi Annan could pocket record wealth from the Oil for Food program. Oh, yes, the corrupt old UN at it again! Kofi and his son profitted handily off the backs of the poor in Africa and Iraq!

    • http://gravatar.com/bychoosing Jay

Ron, again, you are preaching to choir. The tune you just sang, has been sung here on many many, occasions. It doesn’t exactly come as a “revelation”, or a, SURPRISE…! So what now…besides stating the obvious do you recommend or suggest? Obama? If so, you are truly DELUDED, if you think Obama, transcends, or is excluded, or doesn’t belong to the Dick Cheney’s “Boys-Club”. Come on, Ron, give your head a shake!

  • http://www.cindynel.co.za peter

Probably most Americans are afraid to vote against Obama for fear of either being nuked or sent to a Fema camp. Either way they are destined to end up with some more false promises as all the candidates are under the control of the financial buddies and nobody dare cross them.

    • mark

“Probably most Americans are afraid to vote against Obama for fear of either being nuked or sent to a Fema camp.” What?! The paranoid fraidy-cats on this site, yeah. But tens of millions of conservative and Republican voters are going to vote proudly and forthrightly AGAINST President Obama! You can be sure of that.

      • Nadzieja Batki

Excuse me, but are you claiming that you are a Conservative and a Republican? And those others who are Conservative and/or Libertarians you look down your nose at. Childish is my description of you.

      • mark

Nadzieja, no I am neither conservative nor Republican and have never claimed that I am. But I do know for certain that tens of millions of angry Republicans and conservatives are going to vote AGAINST President Obama. They are not going to be frightened away like some of the Chicken Littles on this site with the thought that they will be sent to a Fema Camp if they exercise their right to vote. It is the wet-their-pants crowd on this paranoid site that believe that. We are going to have an election in November like we always have. Martial law will not be declared, the election will not be cancelled, no one is going to a Fema Camp. Deal with it.

  • kona

Although Condoleezza Rice is very intelligent, I do not think she would be a smart choice. The Democrats would jump all over the fact she was in George Bush’s Cabinet and once again tie the campaign to President Bush’s tenure. The old worn out “it’s all Bush’s fault” slogan would raise it’s ugly head. Why would Romney want to fight that battle again?

  • Miner49er

It would be foolish to pick a sitting Senator. A Republican President will need all the Senate votes he can get to accomplish anything.

Nothing else really matters. He could pick a cardboard cutout. That said, Rice seems the best of the rest.

    • Nancy in Nebraska

If that senator is not facing reelection and the governor of that state is a republican, the governor would give the senate seat to a republican. I’m sure they’ve thought of that.

      • mark

Right Nancy, the Senatorial appointment of a Republican by the Republican governor is already a fixed, done deal. Funny how political appointments when they are made by Democrats are fixed and crooked. But when they are done by Republicans they are just fine.

      • Nancy in Nebraska

Wow! You’re an idiot! When are you going to let go of the idea that the two parties are not the same thing! Your responses always reflect the whole democrat vs republican thing! They are ALL part of the same crowd with the same agenda! They are all crooked and corrupt! The WHOLE system is corrupt! You just play into their agenda when you don’t recognize that! Stop the automatic partisan attacks! You’re just helping THEM defeat US! Open your eyes and REALLY LOOK at what’s going on in this country! It doesn’t matter which party is in charge, the takeover continues! How many rights are you willing to give up whether it be under the democrats or under the republicans??? WE ARE LOSING OUR RIGHTS UNDER BOTH PARTIES!!! WAKE UP!!!

  • http://yahoo quicklee

I wish that Bob Gates would be considered. He is smart, experienced and prepared like no other person mentioned, And yes a Gates presidency would be strong.

  • ken

How about the Governor of Nevada? He’s been a federal judge, he’s Hispanic, and we won’t be taking conservatives from the legislature whom we need no matter who is president. All you blockheads who whine about not voting because of the top of the ticket should be reminded that we had Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi running the congress in part because of short-sighted thinking back in ’08 when Barry was running against (Bush?) and Mrs Palin. Funny how the Dems were able to convince a lot of people that GW was running for a third term, huh? My thanks to all of you who refused to vote for Republican congressmen because you didn’t like the top of the ticket. Now we have Obamacare, Dodd-Frank, Fast and Furious, Soto and the other as Supreme Court Justices, and bills up the wazoo, to name a few things, Thanks again.

    • GregS

Well said, ken! The all-or-nothing mentality (as demonstrated by some people on this site) has NEVER worked, and it NEVER will. All conservatives need to unite, regardless of their differences, to defeat Obama (and the rest of the liberals), to prevent our country from going down the same road as Greece.

If ObamaTAXCare is allowed to take full effect in 2014, it will NEVER be repealed, as if there weren’t enough problems with the funding of Social Security and Medicare.

mark, the roman empire lasted until 1453, but it was also known as the byzantine empire. odoacer did take rome in 476 but he requested constantinople to be recognized as the western emperor, which was granted. the actual end of the western empire came with theodoric in 493. keep in mind that justinian ruled after this, from 527 to 565 (yes had to look that up), and he was arguably one of the greatest emperors. yeesh, if we only had him now. one unending huge problem rome had was keeping the dispossessed content, this was the origins of the present day food stamps. boy did that work.

  • L.V. Rylander

Does it really matter? I believe that all of the rats are coming out of the same nest! IT’ just a dog and pony show any more, just a formality to appease the dumbed down people that have their hands out for whatever they think is free.

    • Nancy in Nebraska

      I agree! It’s ALL a SHOW!!!

  • Suzanne

Abortion is my Rubicon position. If Rice is the pick I’ll have a hard time supporting her.

  • uvuvuv

abortion actually has selective benefits, ahem, if you’re in the dnc. ironically the repubs oppose abortion even though it results in more dem voters, while the dems champion it even as 30% of certain pregnancies are terminated. and look who’s voting for whom.

If Mutt Rummy were to win it would be rice for everybody but the rich.

    Marco Rubio?

Marco Rubio’s parents LOVED Cuba SO much they ran, suitcases packed with cash, rather than FIGHT for the island they so “loved”!

Like most Miami Cubans, Rubio wants nothing more than to turn Cuba back into the whorehouse/casino for Amerikkkan playboys it was before the Revolution.

    • Flashy

When i was in Miami last month, I had an interesting conversation with a friend about Cuba. Her parents emigrated in the massive flight when Castro and his supporters kicked Batista out. She had a few comments..such as Batista supporters snuffed a lot of people in the early 60′s who advocated working with Castro and negotiating a return to the island … it wasn’t profitable to those who could not return. She also thought when Cuba opened up and the US opened up…the Cubans in the US would not be welcomed with open arms. They would be seen as “foreign” and suspect to turn the island into a US puppet. She forecast a civil war. Between a minority contingent wanting a US style economy (backed by US gadzillionaires wanting to return the island to the corrupt days of Batista) and the majority who desired a continuation of the current system.

She pointed out Elian…who is perfectly content these days. Versus the status his US relatives are today (not good).

It ain’t gonna be pretty whatever happens…

    • Vigilant

“Like most Miami Cubans, Rubio wants nothing more than to turn Cuba back into the whorehouse/casino for Amerikkkan playboys it was before the Revolution.”

        Dittos!!!

  • http://gravatar.com/bychoosing Jay

From Marx to Lenin, Gramsci & Alinsky.

Obama’s Ideological Father: “Gramsci… organized the Italian Communist party in 1921….

Since this was four years after the Russian Revolution, Gramsci assumed Italians would welcome a Bolshevik convulsion of their own. But it didn’t happen….

He found three explanations: Christianity, nationalism and charity. …the way to set the stage for a Marxist revolution was in coming to grips with these three conditions….

The first stratagem was the assault on Christianity by arguing religion should not inform or be employed in public discourse. Gramsci realized that if religion were confined to private worship, its hold on Italians would dissipate….

Second… Gramsci contended Italians were part of a grand global mission….

Last… Gramsci engaged in efforts to persuade Italians that the way, the only way, to express humanitarian concern for the poor or those left behind as the detritus of capitalism is through a government that can be benevolent….

“Obama… has suggested overtly and tacitly that religion should be a matter relegated to private worship outside the confines of public life…. [Through] his proposal to deny tax deductions for charitable gifts, government is being converted into the only public charity.

Moreover, the transfer of wealth in the stimulus package and the increased tax burden on the most productive element of society will inevitably decrease incentives and expand the size and influence of government…..

Our leaders may not identify themselves as Gramscians and may even mock the designation, but make no mistake: Gramsci’s DNA is in their bloodstream.”

Totalitarianism means total government control: No earthly freedom to deviate from politically correct ideology! No personal property that’s not subject to government regulations. No public communication without surveillance. No escape from the ever-tightening boundaries of government regulations and global standards. No personal rights to follow God and share His Truth.

The pathway to socialist oppression is no longer bloody revolutions. The omnipresent dialectic process is far more subtle and effective. Enhanced by the steady drumbeat of the media’s pervasive, suggestive and anti-Christian stimuli, minds are dulled and the masses indoctrinated everywhere.

While people in the Soviet Union knew they were trapped in a cruel system, many could still think factually and logically. Today’s managers of mind-control have nearly perfected the social “science” of collective brainwashing. How did we get here?

A time-line of the last 100 years takes us back to Georg Hegel, a German occultist who conceived the mind-changing dialectic process. His diabolical philosophy fueled Karl Marx’s anti-Christian fervor — and gave Lenin and Stalin their key weapon in their war against Christianity. After all, Communist solidarity meant the pursuit of a collective vision. And the hope of the masses must be set on an earthly Utopia, not the unchanging promises of the Biblical God.

Hindsight proves the failure of the Lenin-Stalin bloodbaths. While the masses were forced to comply, the envisioned Utopia became a deadly nightmare.

Antonio Gramsci was the first Communist leader to see through the illusion.

While firmly committed to global Communism, he knew that that violence would fail to win the West.

American workers (proletariat) would never declare war on their middle class neighbors as long as they shared common Christian values. So the Italian communist — a contemporary of Lenin — wrote an alternative plan for a silent revolution.

The main weapons would be deception, manipulation and infiltration.

Hiding their Marxist ideology, the new Communist warriors would seek positions of
influence in seminaries, government, communities, and the media.

Ben Crystal. Blowhard. Man likes to hear himself talk. He thinks he’s better than Biden. That means he is a man of low self-esteem to talk bad about others.
