Aging is a Drying-Out Disease

Aging is a Drying-Out Disease

For some reason, seniors drink less water as they get older and move less. And since they take so many drugs, this compounds their dehydration, especially with the taking of so many antihistamines. Antihistamines block hydration—leading to acidic blood and the masking of pain. What we mistake as pain and disease is really chronic cellular dehydration.

Seniors do not drink enough water to dilute and dispose of acid waste, greatly contributing to the aging process. Add to this a lack of exercise and acid buildup in the tissues, overloading the lymphatic system. Dehydration over time leads to chronic acid/alkaline imbalance (over acidity) causing chronic disease.

Increased water consumption contributes to alkalinity simply by expelling, diluting and washing out acidity. The diet of American people is highly acidic. Health is restored when diet is returned to 80/20 (alkaline/acidity ratio) coupled with rehydration. Rehydration by itself causes health miracles but added to an 80 percent alkaline diet, health benefits grow exponentially. The more alkaline your diet, the more rapid your improvement will be.

Low oxygen levels come with acidity. To contract an infection, our internal environment has to be acidic. Wouldn’t you guess that this is why some people develop colds and flu when others don’t in the same environment? The medical establishment is confusing symptoms with disease. Disease arises within and develops from an acid and dehydrated environment.

Overacidity and dehydration are the basic causes of all sickness and disease. It is the root cause of aging.

Make no mistake about it, the people selling drugs will never tell you this and they certainly don’t tell their medical students and doctors. And thank God the medical mafia can’t stop this rehydration because it’s as FREE as water. Seniors, start drinking eight glasses of water a day (with a 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt for each quart of water you drink) and get up and start walking. Sitting, by itself, will flat out kill you.

Americans eat too much animal protein which is acidic. Here there is a great need for calcium to neutralize the acid. The body always tries to return to an alkaline state the only way that it can by withdrawing calcium from the bones.

Take your daily calcium and check your saliva and urine pH. Your pH balance (7.365 pH) is the foundation for health and restored health. It’s a good idea to take a mineral supplement with the eight-glasses-a-day water therapy.

Does drinking coffee or tea count toward the needed daily intake of water?

    • Robert A McNabb

Yes, drinking coffee or tea helps with the daily intake of water.

Sorry, I flat out disagree with this. Just drink the darn water! “This from the Mayo Clinic: Water is your body’s principal chemical component, making up, on average, 60 percent of your body weight. Every system in your body depends on water. For example, water flushes toxins out of vital organs, carries nutrients to your cells and provides a moist environment for ear, nose and throat tissues.”

Just read recently that putting a slice of lemon or lime into your drinking water makes it alkaline…of course good for you since disease cannot exist in an alkaline environment. I also put anti-oxidant drops in my water that I order .

My nutritionist says you should an extra glass of water for every cup of caffeine consumed; which is coffee, sodas, chocolate.

Have you noticed that frequently you will see a bunch of banana’s on the bench of a professional football game especially if the temperatures are the warm side? Ive been told that banana’s help prevent dehydration and muscle cramps. So will eating banana’s, drinking more water decrease the aging factor and increase the length of our arms or just help with our overall health? Sorry for the feeble attempt at humor.

Sorry Jack… only water counts… can’t substitute coffee or tea.  I use alkalizing pH drops in my water to ensure I’m drinking alkaline water for optimum health.

And John… I think it’s the potassium in the bananas that helps with the cramps and with mineral depletion during sweating or exercise.

*Bob, I tried the drops you speak of and they didn’t do anything for me nor did they make the water alkaline. Am I doing something wrong?*

I just ordered and received an “ultimate” ph balancer that was advertised on a health site.  It calls for 4 drops in 8 oz of water several times a day.  Upon trying it, about 3 doses, I got the worst case of indigestion, burping and gas pains, and some pain in the kidney area of my back.  It sounded great-but now I’m afraid to take more of it.  I am 65 and do not take other meds.  Any comments?  Should I return it for a refund?

Drinking water is important but drinking the right water is equally important. R/O and distilled water are devoid of minerals and actually deplete the body (mainly bones) of calcium and other minerals. Kangen water is alkalinized, ionized, microclustered and oxygenated and loaded with antioxidants.

Sorry if this sounds like a commercial. Just check out for yourself and you decide.

Don’t return the product, there is nothing wrong with it. This is your body responding. If you are in an acidic state and then start to remove the acidity all of those trapped toxins will be released and create the symptoms you are experiencing. Before you continue I would recommend purchasing some PH test strips. You can test your saliva or urine now and every couple of days to gauge the success of your treatments with the drops.
Also to minimize the symptoms take a slower approach. Slowly build up the number of times you take the drops over a few days. To flush the toxins out faster drink more water throughout the day.

I HATE drinking water! Are there alternatives? Some kind of flavoring that is not acidic?

  • Beverlyc

Annie, If you had the proper water, it would just go down your throat like it is supposed to. I was a hater of water. It is all of the chemicals, etc. in your water that you hate. Someone mentioned Kangen Water in one of the posts…I vouch for it. I got a machine and I drink water like I never have before and my health is so much better for it. Better looks, more energy and stamina and everything works better. Go to drinktheproperwater dot com and navigate around. Do take time to watch the videos and demos. You may never get one of these but at least you will know it is there and what it can do. This water is changed to be like water was before we polluted and chemicalized it. What is in there is dumbing us down and God knows what else. I can tell you that Flouride was a very unnecessary evil placed in our water, and yes, to escape all of this ‘water terrorism’ drinking r/o and distilled water will only make matters worse for your body. I am proof that a water hater has learned to drink and appreciate water for water. My next step is to get my bath right so I won’t be soaking in all of that crap. I have put a filter on my shower to help a little…but I so enjoy a nice long soak. But, the skin absorbs too much of what is in it, so I just minimize that until I can do better. Good luck with drinking water.

You can drink all the water you want to, but if you don’t get meaningful exercise every day and eat right, it won’t matter. I always get thirsty when I do a good hard workout so I naturally want liquid refreshment, water or sugarless cool-aid always worked for me. If you need a sugar boost, an 8 ounce orange juice or fruit like a peach or pear will work and you get the best of both healthy worlds. When you reach the over the hill age which varies for different people, just remember to stay active and try to eat right and everything else may work out for you. Life isn’t always fair, but if you don’t give yourself the best chance, you can’t go back in time and change anything to get a better result. I drank lots of flavored water that had no calories, sugar or sodium in them but they did cause a little reflux, so I swithed to powerades which do have a little sugar in them but not even close to what many sodas have. I also buy bottled water by the case because the water where I live is hard water and is bitter, but a variation of green diet tea and the aforementioned liquids is probably within the realm of sanity. I use to love a cold beer on occasion but at age 75 and having diabetes thats no longer an enjoyable option. I can tell you from experience that some medications are compensating for an unhealthy lifestyle and there is a price to pay for staying healthy into older than dirt territory. Give up the guilt and the snakeoil salesmen and just do the best you can with a sensible diet, exercise and lifestyle routine and God Bless your efforts and in the words of Spock of Star trek, live long and prosper.

Hi there I enjoyed your post. I feel that it’s important when discussing diabetes to at least refer to natural remedies that have been shown to be efficient in managing high blood glucose. Various natural herbs can be including in a diabetics treatment that may help preserve a wholesome sugar level.
