A Matter Of Preference


Dear Bob,

I have read that you recommend sea salt. I would like to have your take on Himalayan salt. I feel that Himalayan salt is even better than sea salt. I have had people tell me that their doctors tell them to stay away from salt, period. Those people are becoming sicker by the day. How can we inform people that they need some good salt daily in order to maintain good health?

Dear Sandra,

I use Himalayan salt along with Celtic sea salt, but prefer Celtic because it is larger granules and slightly moist. Many health-food gurus recommend Himalayan over Celtic and vice versa, so it is a matter of personal preference. Salt is essential to our health. People should avoid ordinary table salt and sodium in processed foods.
