A Greater Depression

“We’re on the verge of a great, great depression. The (Federal Reserve) knows it.” So said Peter Yastrow, market strategist for Yastrow Origer on CNBC Wednesday.

Yastrow’s point: Money managers can’t find an investment they feel is a safe haven for their investors. That’s because the Federal Reserve’s Ponzi scheme has been exposed for the fraud it is.

The debate in Washington, D.C., is about raising the debt ceiling. Should they, or shouldn’t they? Yes, and raise taxes, too, say some. Yes, raise taxes and cut spending say others. Yes, but only if a corresponding amount in Federal spending cuts accompany the increase, others say. No, say a few. But only a few.

Meanwhile, the manufacturing sector in the United States continues its death spiral. May saw the slowest growth in manufacturing since September 2009. Only 38,000 private-sector jobs were added in May (the Labor Department claimed 54,000). More than 300,000 new jobs per month are needed to significantly lower employment, which in May ticked up to 9.1 percent, according to the “official” count.

Mainstream economists, media talking heads and the Administration of President Barack Obama feign surprise every time bad economic news comes out. And bad news continues to trickle out despite strong-arm tactics of the Administration — and outright lies.

“We’re heading in the direction of a double dip — but you’d never know it if you listened to the upbeat messages coming out of Wall Street and Washington,” former Labor Secretary Robert Reich wrote in a blog on csmonitor.com in March 2011.

“But isn’t the economy growing again — by an estimated 2.5 to 2.9 percent this year? Yes, but that’s even less than peanuts. The deeper the economic hole, the faster the growth needed to get it back on track. By this point in the so-called recovery we’d expect growth of 4 to 6 percent.

“Consider that back in 1934, when it was emerging from the deepest hole of the Great Depression, the economy grew by 7.7 percent. The next year it grew over 8 percent. In 1936 it grew a whopping 14.1 percent,” Reich wrote.

Two months of economic news has not changed Reich’s mind. Last week, he wrote the following for the Financial Times: “The U.S. economy was supposed to be in bloom by late spring, but it is hardly growing at all. Expectations for second-quarter growth are not much better than the measly 1.8 percent annualized rate of the first quarter. That’s not nearly fast enough to reduce America’s ferociously high level of unemployment… Average hourly earnings of production and non-supervisory employees — who make up 80 percent of non-government workers — dropped to $8.76 in April. Adjusted for inflation, that’s lower than they were in the depths of the recession.”

And just how bad is the current economic situation? According to the U.S. Department of the Treasury, the Federal debt is increasing at a rate of $1,148 per U.S. family per month… and has been since Obama was sworn in as President. In fact, the debt grew $3,646,116,554,704.36 from January 2009, when Obama took office, to April 2011, when Obama finally said there was a need to get a handle on the debt situation.

“The last month has been a horror show for the U.S. economy, with economic data falling off a cliff,” Mike Riddell, a fund manager with M&G Investments in London, told CNBC on Wednesday.

Riddell said almost every bit of data about the health of the U.S. economy has disappointed recently: House prices have fallen more than 5 percent year on year, pending home sales have collapsed and existing home sales have disappointed, the trend of improving jobless claims has arrested, the first quarter gross domestic product wasn’t revised upward as predicted, durable goods orders shrank and manufacturing surveys from the Philadelphia Fed, Richmond Fed and Chicago Fed were all very disappointing.

But the current situation is not just a crisis for the United States. It’s a crisis for the world. As World Bank President Robert Zoellick said in a speech in Washington, D.C., in April 2011, the world is “one shock away from a full-blown crisis.

“It’s probably too much to say that it’s a jobless recovery, but it’s certainly a recovery with not enough jobs. Especially because of youth unemployment… there is now a risk that this will be turned into a life sentence and that there is a possibility of a lost generation,” he said.

Currently, about 18.5 percent of American males between the ages of 18 and 55 are unemployed. About 40 million Americans are on food stamps. How long before we see riots in America like those in the Middle East and North Africa?

They may be starting already. Over the Memorial Day weekend, there were no fewer than seven incidents of riots or near riots in large crowds. Mob incidents, shootings, fights and looting broke out New York City; Rochester, N.Y.; Chicago; Miami; Myrtle Beach, N.C.; Nashville, Tenn.; Decatur, Ala.; and Boston. Beaches, water parks and streets were shut down. In recent weeks, there have been beat downs in hamburger joints, mob robberies and looting.

Trends forecaster Gerald Celente has said that when people lose everything and they have nothing else to lose, they lose it. The Federal Reserve and the Federal government have pillaged and looted and stolen about everything the American people have. But austerity is a dirty word to the elected elites. In Washington, in the States and in cities and towns across the country, elected elites are at least wishing they could raise taxes, if they are not outright doing so.

Talk of the slightest cuts in the Federal behemoth bring spurious claims that seniors will die and children will starve, that medical care will cease and food will be contaminated. So the Federal behemoth continues to grow.

According to The Washington Times, more than 77,000 Federal government employees are paid more than the Governors of their respective States. A report by the Center for Public Integrity revealed that the Federal limousine fleet almost doubled in the past two years, from 238 in fiscal year 2008 to 412 in fiscal year 2010.

Confidence in government is at an all-time low. More and more people are awake to the fact that the system has failed. Why? Because of the mass greed based on the rot of fiat currency. Fiat currency brings not only financial collapse but also the destruction of moral order.

What’s next? Only the mass realization that the financial system and the rule of law are no longer functioning.

I have been accused of scaremongering for warning of the coming collapse and encouraging you to buy precious metals and stockpile food and water. But now, the mainstream media are catching on.

It seems to me that anyone should be able to see the economic conditions behind the global government structure are crumbling. We are in the endgame. The earthquake is now rumbling. There are signs everywhere, for those who choose to see them.

Governments, including the U.S. government, are losing control.

Pray that the final collapse will be quick and the transition will be quick, without a prolonged period of infrastructure deterioration or destruction.

        In 1913, President Woodrow Wilson approved the Federal Reserve Act. A few years later, he reflected:

        “I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated governments in the civilized world — no longer a government by free opinion, no longer a government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men.”

        A century before, Thomas Jefferson reflected much the same sentiment:

        “If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks….will deprive the people of all property until their children wakeup homeless on the continent their fathers conquered….The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs.”

          The way bankers or anybody is able to run the value of money up and down is to get the people focused on having “stuff” – acquisitiveness – regardless of their ability to pay for it. Then the foolish people are given the option to take it home and “enjoy it” for a dollar down and a dollar a week at 10% – 18% (or, maybe, 33%). Then if you acquire too much and can’t keep up, be totally corrupted, and go bankrupt. After a few years you can begi the cycle all over again.
          So, how does one expect people look at government when the government does it?
          How are the people going to be able to condemn their government for doing what they do themselves? If they think one of the most valuable things they have is a good credit score, to be maintained by any subterfuge or artifice, there is probably not much they won’t do or restrain themselves from. If something is a good deal for them, regardless of the effect on anybody else, it’s a “good deal”! The hell with the long term consequence. It’s human nature.
          The Apostle Paul was instructed to write in Romans 13:8 – “Owe no man anything, but to love one another: for he that loves another has fulfilled the law.” In Proverbs it says that the borrower is servant (slave) to the lender. In the Jubilee Year (every 50 years) all debts were to be wiped off the slate, forgiven. Knowing that, any potential lender would be really disinclined to lay out credit to someone except family.
          But us? Oh, no!!! We’re so smart we think all those old “Bible ideas” shouldn’t apply to us now in this advanced age. That stuff worked for them back then, but we don’t have to pay the same piper in our age of technological “truth and wisdom”. (Now, why and WHO would want to try to talk anybody out of doing something that bills Itself as “God’s Word” says to do??? Nobody ever told you the Devil has children, too, did they…wonder why? You probably want to think they’re just reg’lar folk too, don’t you – generic “you”?)
          At any rate, this acquisitive attitude is called “covetousness”. In turn, covetousness is called “idolatry”. If you’re in that category yor on the outs with God. Nothing wrong with owning stuff if you can control your attiudes, desires and demands. Have a little self-respect and hold yourself above the mass…even if you don’t care a whit about God.
          Had people held themselves to this simple dictum, everybody – and I do mean EVERYBODY – could have had plenty…instead of where we’re headed (Pre-reformation Feudalism).

          We understand a capitalist to not be someone who would pay dues to some hack government lessee of 4 or 6 years worth of authority who bids out the freedom of his fellow Americans in return for the ability to be praised by traitors and propagandists in the media and administrars of tyrrany. See, a socialist is anybody who uses government influence to contort other producers, their produce and the public’s wisdom for his own personal benefit – rather than compete on equal footing with the others in society whether their ideas, ability, dedication and products are worse, as good or better than his own. He causes the stagnation and stifling of cultural growth through his unwarranted, downward pressure on the wheels of evolution. Such that the goods and services required by people in order to improve their lot can not develop, but his are protected and prevail – leading to disintegration, rather than improvement, of the common wellbeing.
          Socialists, in spite of seeing themselves as “progressive” and avant garde’, are by nature guardians of the status quo, holding life down and (ultimately) putting things in reverse.
          Labels are meaningless…where’s one’s heart?

        I don’t disagree with you bue we can argue, and we can debate, but if believer’s are not praying every day and asking for God’s help in our own lives and in all that is going down in Washington (morality, confidence, the value of the dollar, the price of homes, the number of jobs available, morality – that needs to be said twice – our esteem in the world, and the economy) then it could be a lot worse than the tripling of prices that God has already revealed is coming in things we actually need like food and fuel and clothes. When I published the 16 page copyrighted report, “The Coming Financial Crisis” in 1990, even I did not realize how bad it could get or how deep in debt we could go. In 2006 I called what is coming ‘the Greater Depression’ and in one 25 page chapter in my autobiography devoted just to the economy I warned about derivatives and the dangers of debt and of the coming stock market crash but I know little about promotion and so only a few read my book and took my advice and benefited, some spiritually, some materially, some both. In “Leaving South Carolina” I talked about the benefit of having a garden and an emergency food supply and how cheap gold was at $600 an ounce but few listened. Thank God some did so what I wrote to pass on what I had learned in life had value to some as I had no children who could benefit from what I have learned.
        Well, I don’t have the audience or the income that Bob Livingston has so I appreciate what he is trying to do in warning people about what is coming. Some will listen, many will not. The more who listen the better off society will be for those who come out at the other end of the terrible times that are coming. It is possible that if we replace the Senate in 2012 with fresh faces, not the Republicans who are committed to the International banks and multi-national corporations, nor the Democrats, some whom are also committed but who are determined to mold the United States into a socialist Mecca where the rich and the jobs they provide have been eliminated and the cost of every thing takes many more hours, weeks or months to earn, but with truly independent Americans who care about this nation and want it to fulfill the vision that the founding fathers had when they gave it to us.
        Many claim not to care about freedom as long as they have someone to look after them. They submit themselves and their children to the indecent pat downs by the TSA or horrendous scans of powerful DNA damaging X-Ray machines; they eat food that is approved by the FDA and the USDA but forbidden in most other educated and advanced nations and some not so advanced. From 5th in longevity in the world when I was as child to nearly 50th today, our health gets worse and worse and yet we are getting more vaccines than anyone in the history of the world and enough medicines to make many millionaires of more than a few and even some billionaires. Our lives are apparently so miserable we must use drugs to still the sting of what we might have been and millions are incarcerated for doing so, more prisoners in jail than any other country on earth.
        We have traded equal justice under the law, for social justice and lawlessness, and have replaced religion with government. God is the state and the state is God. He, by the way, is not amused. We have replaced the natural with the unnatural in so many areas and tossed morality to the wind, but the law of the Universe, as sure as gravity is that what you sow you will eventually reap. You cannot get around it any more than you can ignore gravity. These principles will have an effect on all you do just as gravity does. Dozens of generations ago it was written that in the end times good would be called evil and evil would be called good and we have already entered the threshold of those times, and though they may last far longer than anyone can imagine, the population of the earth will not.
        I do not want to say that the time to awaken has come and gone. I still believe that it is possible to prevent our ship of state from sinking on the shoals of irresponsible spending by congress, but it has already begun to lisp. Water is beginning to fill the lowest sections and if nothing is changed than the future is easy to predict and we will join the litany of other great nations that spent themselves to death with funny money.
        Great nations come and go. Rome is gone completely, but Egypt and England and Spain and Argentina are still with us with only a wisp of their former glory.
        The time for finger pointing is past. If we would save our nation we must balance the budget now, and remove those from power who want to spend us to our death. The tripling of prices (except homes) is a given because spending what you don’t have either causes bankruptcy if you are a person and inflation if you are a nation (and just print money as we are doing), and if the populace doesn’t wake up it could be a whole lot worse. Only God knows when this will all happen but better to be years to early than one day to late. There are well informed specialists who believe we only have 24 months. I cannot say, but I can plead with you to get ready. If you are a Christian who understands the power of prayer, then pray and prepare, if you are an agnostic than just prepare, and both should vote wisely. This could be the last election that will make any difference. We have got to stop squandering money on treadmills for shrimp, and billions for banks. As I said in one of my books can you image what will happen when those who hate us so much now have to pay twice as much as they are now for anything and everything because we spent so much we didn’t have that we ruined the economy of the world? It is not going to be pretty, but if we are very wise, we might survive it. I certainly hope so as I don’t want to join the 200,000 a year who leave the United States. Besides where could I go? We are beginning to affect the whole world and soon we are all going to be affected ourselves. May God help us as no one else is going to do so and may He bless all who read this. Dum Spiro Spero!

There are some who fit your description but a vast majority of people need it (& use it) for the food they eat each month, not for ‘hair-dos, nails, drugs & alchohol’.

        While I worked for over 40 yrs, I have had to use food stamps once in my life (in the 80′s) due to a layoff and the job market being much the same as it is today (just not as bad). There is a misconception that people who get food stamps get a large amount. In Texas, today, one person is allowed approximately $168 a MONTH in food stamps. If they have a family, a VERY SMALL amount is added to that for each additional person.

        By the way, most states are like Texas is now….they have a debit card for your food stamps…makes it kind of hard to “sell for drugs, hairdo’s” now doesn’t it?

          There is only one thing wrong here. Big Government is diverting funds from capital investment in the private sector and using them inefficiently. Big Government spends 40% of our GDP, twice as much as in 1950 when I was born. And we got along fine with one person working in the family — a person who had only an eighth grade education.

          The tax payers owe NO ONE food stamps, medical care or anythng else. We have seen an over active government providing what the churches and neighbors used to provide. When I was 6, my dad got hurt and could not do manual labor anymore…with only an 8th grade education, he went to work with a pencil…there were no food stamps, no freebies of any kind…if there had been, my dad would have refused to accept them. My mother went to work and my older brother and I became the farm and housekeepers. We raised a 7 acre garden (with a mule and plow), pigs some to sell and others to eat, milked the cow, made our own butter…we purchased flour, sugar and coffee from the store. We had no indoor plumbing, had an outhouse, and we heated our bath water on the stove…but, there was never a day that we ever went to school unclean or wearing dirty clothes. We washed outside all year loong and hung the clothes on the line to dry…or freeze dry in the winter. My dad became a superintendent of an insurance company….this is America where you can do or become anything you want if you are willing to put forth the work that it takes. I am only 63 years old, so you can see that I was considered an “at risk” kid, but thankfully, they didn’t label you at that time and I was taught that I was as smart and as good as anyone else…married someone who lost his dad at 13…hard times for him as well….we worked two jobs most of the time and now we have a 230 acre ranch, a small airplane that we built, and a nice brick home. So, I don’t feel too sorry for people who stand with their hands out anymore.

            Wanda……….While I agree with the point you are making remember you were fortunate enough to have access to land you could raise meat and vegatables on. Most if not all of those in the inner cities do not have that advantage. Of course that doesn’t mean there are not other legal venues for them to improve their lot in life and not building a lifestyle based on welfare.

            I am two years your junior, grew up in a small town and never ever had, or was exposed to, the “harship” your family edured. We were not rich, but mom stayed home and raised us kids. Dad (grew up on a 180 aacre farm in the 20s and 30s) started his own business in ’53, worked 80 hours / week and made a go of it.

            I, as you, learned by example and worked hard, lived pretty frugally – the wife called me a cheapskate – and am gettng by so far. I had to take a retirement package in ’04 due to downsizing and a physical issue, but am making the best of it.

            A neighbor behind me built a couple of planes in his machine shed. I think they are called Ultra Lights. He offered to take me up for a ride. I turned white and respectfully declined.

            Anyway, congratulations on your hard-earned prosperous life.

Not only that, in MN the debit cards were being used at casinos to gamble and buy cigs with. I am far from unknowledgeable on this subject. There are some who recieve foodstamps and use them in good faith, but like all gov’t. subsidies they are used and abused to the detrement of everyone else. If you are ignorant enough to believe that fraud in food stamps is any less than fraud in medicare I have a big lollipop for you to suck.

          Hey OH- Yup, been busy. Between the motorcycle, farm, almost nice weather and my mom living in Joplin, MO, been busy myself. I finally found my mom 3 days later thanks to a rock n roll station that went 24/7 broadcasting people looking for people. A person in town heard her name and went to her house with a cell phone to call her kids. Love small towns. She is fine with repairable damage. She didn’t need me to come down there unless I just wanted to visit. She said it is like camping, only inside. More volunteers than they knew what to do with. A christian group from OK showed up on her lawn with chainsaws and cleaned up the whole front yard no charge, no debit cards!). She lost more than 1/2 of her 40 some trees with a couple going through the roof of the house. But, everyone thankfully is just fine. Have to put a new roof and siding on my barn this year myself because of age and straight line winds. Anything else will just have to wait for next years project list.

    Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.

    Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?

    Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?

    You and I don’t propose a federal budget. The President does.

    You and I don’t have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.

    You and I don’t write the tax code, Congress does.

    You and I don’t set fiscal policy, Congress does.

    You and I don’t control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.

    One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one President, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

    I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.

    I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a President to do one cotton-picking thing. I don’t care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator’s responsibility to determine how he votes.

    Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.

    What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits. The President can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.

    The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House? John Boehner. He is the leader of the majority party. He and fellow House members, not the President, can approve any budget they want. If the President vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.

    It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted — by present facts — of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can’t think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

    If the tax code is unfair, it’s because they want it unfair.

    If the budget is in the red, it’s because they want it in the red.

    If the Army & Marines are in Iraq and Afghanistan it’s because they want them in Iraq and Afghanistan ….

    This is from Mark Knoller of CBS. The pilots and crew of Air Force One are flying more hours than a rookie on a beer run. They are tired of it too, and are adding more crew to Air Force-1, – I know this for a fact because I’m one of the instructors that trains the crews. Our company (Atlas Air) has had the Air Force-1 and E-4 contract for over two years and I’ve been doing it for about 8 months now.
    Last year (2010) Obama flew in Air Force One 172 times, almost every other day. White House officials have been telling reporters in recent days that the Democrat doesn’t intend to hang around the White House quite so much in 2011. They explain he wants to get out more around the country because, as everyone knows, that midterm election shellacking on Nov. 2 had nothing to do with his health care bill, over-spending or other policies, and everything to do with Obama’s not adequately explaining himself to his countrymen and women. And with only 673 days remaining in Obama’s never ending presidential campaign, the incumbent’s travel pace will not likely slacken.
    ****At an Air Force-estimated cost of $181,757 per flight HOUR (not to mention the additional travel costs of Marine One, Secret Service, logistics and local police overtime), that’s a lot of frequent flier dollars going into Obama’s carbon footprint. We are privy to some of these numbers thanks to CBS’ Mark Knoller, a bearded national treasure trove of presidential stats. According to Knoller’s copious notes, during the last year, Obama made 65 domestic trips over 104 days, and six trips to eight countries over 22 days. Not counting six vacation trips over 32 days. He took 196 helicopter trips, signed 203 pieces of legislation and squeezed in 29 rounds of left-handed golf.
    Obama last year gave 491 speeches, remarks or statements.**** That’s more talking than goes on in some entire families, at least from fatherly mouths.
    In fact, even including the 24 days of 2010 that we never saw Obama in public, his speaking works out to about one official utterance every 11 waking hours. Aides indicate the “Real Good Talker” believes we need more.
    Obama spends nearly half his presidency outside Washington, plans to travel more. Vacationer-in-Chief Spends $1.75 Million to Visit Hawaiian Chums. Obama has spent over $100 million taxpayer dollars flying around in Air Force One, and probably another $100 million on his entourage. Obama is just another tin-pot dictator living lavishly at the expense of his subjects.
    And we seniors have to “tighten our belts” because we aren’t getting a COLA again this year… and none last year!

    I am still of the opinion that the more focus placed on the bad news, the worse things get. More focus needs to be put on whatever good news can be found – And it CAN be found! Like what I heard a couple of weeks ago about some manufacturing returning to this country because of transportation costs and the rising pay rate in China. Charlotte, NC and surrounding areas, not far from where I live, keeps gaining jobs, although slowly. Gas is going down. Here in north-central SC we’re at $3.42 this morning. I guess bad news sells though. People love to complain. The more you complain, the worse you feel!

    Also, there are other economists who have different views. Who do you believe? Just live a day at a time and be grateful for what we have.

Throughout my life, no matter what horrendous situations I had to face, I always came out the other side with more knowledge and as a better person. I have survved and I have thrived.             The victims, of course, those who pay the taxes, are capable of making themselves just as miserable as the welfare junkies depending on their mental approach to life.             Yet others find fear in being cought at some outlandish criminal act they have committed.
            Are all fears equal?
            I would have to say no, its obvious that a fear that has no value is not a real fear its an uncomfortale feeling and thus not a real FEAR just a missuse of a word.

            Fear when your head is about to be cut off is a differant kind of fear and in most cases would bring about physical effects such as crapping your pants, tossing your lunch or even mussel spasms etc.

            Or when your a kid and you have a fear that that D on your report card will lead to something not plesant in the very near future.

            But to fear – fear is not only utterly stupid it should be noted as the most stupid thing ever said that others somehow find of comfort in explaining fear.

            Nothing is really unknown everything is there for you to see yet people would rather not see and believe what they see they would rather project something to make them feel better and or just ignore whats really going on. So again would that in fact be FEAR?

            I had 4 grandparents that lived though WWII and they were Republiacn.They said that the fear that was in the country at the time was very bad. They said what FDR did was to calm the country down and to get it to focus on the hard strugle ahead. It might be hypoplorly but it was a start.

            It is a group of powerful, wealthy, very evil and very committed power-mongers, and they’ve orchestrated world events for centuries. They are now about to realize the dream they’ve worked toward for all this time, and they intend for it to be our worst nightmare.

            If you really think that your rosey glasses are going to make things okay for you, then I wish you luck. The rest of us can see the writing on the wall, and sharing information is our way of seeking solutions. It is a situation where such solutions aren’t easily recognized or simple. Each person can bring a new perspective to the puzzle.

            I still don’t get why you, eddie and a few others come here just to mock and criticize. It’s annoying. I appreciate the informed posters here and I want to read what they have to say. If you don’t like it, then you have alternatives.

When I moved to Mo. in Oct.2010, diesel was $2.68, now it’s down to $3.77 and gas was $2.34, now it’s down to $3.58. I don’t see the “good” unless it’s the fact that it’s down from $4.00 gal. and I’m suppose to feel goos about that. How about one green pepper in Feb. 2011 for $1.00 each(I love my garden) You go right on feeling good, and let me know how that “change” is working for you!!

            Independent-Progresso isn’t good for you. Make your own and can or freeze. Must have a garden you grow peppers! Also, I have found a way to preserve eggs. I buy range free eggs from a farmer. $.50/doz. $3.49 -$4 in the store. You can crack an egg into a freezer bag. Thaw and use it just like a fresh egg. Also, I boil a dozen at a time and chop and freeze for salads, sandwiches, etc. Buy the time I close my farm I shouls have enough stored to last the winter.

Do we stick our heads in the sand and think happy thoughts while our rights are eroding and our economy is being dismantled? We still have enough power to turn these things around but only if we educate ourselves enough to vote wisely and be courageous enough to share what we learn.

        The individual is very, VERY powerful when it comes to holding public officials accountable. Most people think they have to vote (one vote in 300 million) or march/protest (largely ineffective) or write letters (that get ignored) and thus most people feel helpless. But did you know that you can actually force a public official out of his/her job, using an established legal process, if he/she exceeds his/her legal authority? Judges, politicians, and bureaucrats exceed their legal authority ALL THE TIME. All we need are more people willing to learn how to hold them accountable to the law.

            Thinking about the future does scare me. My solution is to do what I can today. Could our country be “conquered” by the NWO and the last vestiges of our lawful Republic be swept away? Yes, it’s possible. But what are you going to do, whine on Internet message boards until it happens? We have to use the tools we have as long as they work. I know many people quote our Founding Fathers to the effect that we have the right to violently change our form of government if it becomes destructive of our liberties (“It’s time to water the tree of liberty” and other such things you read on some militant websites), but in my opinion, we must first apply the existing laws to fix our problems. We cannot be justified in taking more extreme measures (than applying the law) BEFORE we have tried applying the law! This frustrates me with a lot of people … they have no patience for learning the law so that they can improve their country with the powerful tools they would learn … they just say, “Oh, if there’s ever a gun confiscation (or whatever), there would be blood in the streets, I’d go down fighting!” It’s like they don’t think of suing the US Government first, they just want to bust out their AK-47′s. Sorry for the rant, I don’t know if you were talking about violence or not, but many people seem to be thinking along those lines lately.

            Learning the law is really not as difficult as the professional attorneys would lead people to believe, and I think TeamLaw is a good resource to help people who want to learn on their own (without the expense of law school). Someday, if our country degenerates even further than it already has, the law may stop working altogether and the country may be taken over completely by the corporate US Government. But until that descent into ultimate tyranny, we have the means to fix A LOT of what is wrong with our country, peacefully, using nothing more than paperwork and Federal Reserve Notes. I’ll use those tactics as much as possible! And it is also possible, that if enough dedicated people learn the law and use it to hold their public officials accountable, we may even avert the catastrophe that many of us see lurking in the future. At least, I intend to try.

            Have you actually done much reading on teamlaw.org? I notice that what you’re calling “government” isn’t really the government. Most Americans have contractually signed away their rights to the entity that you’re calling “government,” only they don’t realize what they’ve done. Then, when the contracts are enforced, people think their rights are being violated and they sue…and the courts rule against them because the courts recognize the contracts. But that makes it look to the average person like the courts are ruling unconstitutionally. It boils down to knowing what “government” really is, and know who YOU are in relation to it. When you know those things, you can use the foundational laws of this country to force the entity you’re calling “government” to deal with you according to the actual laws…not the “statutes” which only apply in contractual relationships. If you studied the matter out, you would probably find that Obamacare doesn’t even apply to you, and the BC issue is even less relevant than that, because Obama isn’t the person you think he is, and doesn’t have the power you assume he has. Of course, no court is just going to take your WORD that Obamacare doesn’t apply to you. You would have to actually study the matter a little bit so you could explain your legal position to him. TeamLaw is a great help with that research and with preparing yourself to go into court. But I would suggest starting with the history so you find out what the “government” really is and what the entity you’re calling “government” really is. They are two separate things.             The problem with what your saying is that they have not brought one court case to bear.I have posted the same thing as you many times but it dosent change the fact that not once has anything of the issues that team law puts out there has made it to the supreme court or even a lesser court.I agree with you but its not going to happen.All they do is usurp the laws that they want and the hell with all of us.You could invest all the money that you want into fighting what is right or wrong with the constitution and the way they have turned it into what it is now.It is just a waste of time and money.Try checking out this site and expand from there.

            Tyrants don’t respect the letter of the law. They believe that what they say IS the law in any given situation. In order for all of those thing to hold true, you need a system that will respect the truth, albeit grudgingly. That system is no longer operational. Our Constitution is no longer honored.

            I know BHO has no valid authority. But he believes he does, and he is supported by those in power. When the opportunity to try this stuff out comes up for you, let me know how it worked out for you. If you can.

            I appreciate the truths that you speak more than you know. But imagine going before a Soviet judge, or a Chinese judge, and you will understsnd how far it will get you.

            That’s incorrect, Dan. These cases go to court all the time. You may not hear about them because they get properly resolved in a local courthouse and no appeals are necessary. It’s even better when you get what you want without having to go to court at all. My impression is that this happens rather frequently. When the law is on your side and you can articulate it clearly to an agency or bureaucrat (or their attorney), typically they aren’t going to make you drag them into court for a case they know they will lose.

            I think the problem you’re having is that you assume, “Hey, if somebody actually won a case like this, then a good precedent would be set and it would apply to all of us!” But it doesn’t work that way. I’m not sure if I’m allowed to explain to you exactly why (since I do have a confidentiality agreement with TeamLaw and I can’t remember if they have made this exact information public or not). Either way, if you read TeamLaw’s Open Forum you may find the info. The bottom line is that that court precedents only apply to people in situations that are similar to the situation that came before the court. Analyzing this is made more difficult by the fact that courts make certain assumptions about who you are that may affect the outcome. To learn how to fix this sort of thing, you would need to study the law some, preferably with TeamLaw’s help.

            But really, even if nobody in the country had ever won one of these cases before, it wouldn’t change things. You would just have to study all of those cases and figure out what those litigants did wrong. Then when you sue, do it right. :-)

            They try. And most people let them, because most people don’t bother to learn the law for themselves so that they can present their case properly in court. As I said above, first you have to know what the “government” is and who you are in relation to that. Most people who sue over Constitutional issues skip that crucial first step. As a result, they get precedents set that discourage other people from even trying. When you evaluate a court decision, the first question you have to ask is, “WHO are the parties, and what is their relationship to each other?” If the parties don’t correlate to your situation, the precedent doesn’t apply to you.

            That’s another thing TeamLaw can help you with: preventing jackboots from kicking your door in to begin with. The key is to address the situation BEFORE it happens. There is an established legal process for accomplishing that, and you have significant remedies if jackboots kick your door in despite it. Most people don’t know about those either.

            The system does respect and enforce the rule of law, albeit grudgingly. You think it doesn’t, because you don’t understand the law or the basis for the court decisions that you don’t like. Of course, every once in a while there is gross criminal conduct on the part of some agency or other, but in most cases they are acting in accord with lawfully executed contracts and that is why the “victims” lose in court. Also, you can’t prevent your rights being violated by being a “good little subject” and failing to stand up for those rights.

            He has power over those who give it to him. He has very, very little power over the rest of us. If you do your study, you will find that you have great power to control the whole system as it relates to you. You’re right, it’s very difficult to play in the political game and get things changed as they relate to other people. But if you only take the steps needed to secure your own freedom, you are doing your part. Other people will see what you are doing and get interested. And those who run the system will notice that they are hemorrhaging voluntary participants. It’s a more powerful signal than voting, IMHO.

            I’m glad we’re on the same page, Kate8. I respect your perspectives, but I hope you understand that you’re a lot more powerful than you think you are. :)

Unfortunately, real solutions are not going to come from Fedzilla, because government is not the solution to our problems – government IS the problem. The general populace has been asleep for far too long and that is why we are in the mess we’re in. If things are getting better in your neck of the woods, that is great news.

Granted many of the markets are affected as much by attitudes as they are by hard data yet history demonstrates that economic disruption based on temporary events are usually short termed. Fiscal mismanagement and bad financial policy, on the other hand, create long term and far more severe problems.

      Buying and selling stocks and commodities on large margins, tinkering with markets, printing money to cover governmental mismanagement, governmental regulation that limits free enterprise, and large scale unethical behavior by CEO’s are just on the top of a very long list of our reasons why the outlook looks extremely grim. In short irresponsible behavior by both citizens, government, and busineses are nearly a foolproof ways to cause major financial upheavel. We have reached a point where major social and economic
      problems seem inevitable and of unprecedented severity.

      This may not be a bad thing in the long run, presuming that we all learn our lesson and repent of our irresponsible behaviors and reign in a government that likes to think of itself as God.

Profits direct this capital to where it is most vitally needed in order to meet consumer demand. Even Samuel Gompers, father of the American labor movement, recognized that “the worst crime against working peoples is a company which fails to operate at a profit.”

        The free market works in the interests of the poor. The alternative, the transfer system, locks people into poverty by destroying opportunities and prohibiting many kinds of productive work. The welfare state encourages dependence, rather than self-reliance. The welfare recipient is deluded into believing there is such a thing as the proverbial “free lunch.” In a free market, it is necessary to first give in order to subsequently receive; in the welfare state, the scheme is to try to live at the expense of others.

    We took a ride to see our son and his wife yesterday. I found myself looking for signs of an economic recovery. Sadly, mostly all I see, are empty office buildings and houses for sale or public auction.
    The old man and I have been saying for years, the bottoms gonna have to drop out of the economy sooner or later. The costs cannot keep going up at the pace they have been. Our property taxes in mids 70′s when we built our home were $750-$800 a year. They now tip the scales at $4000. Jobs, manufacturing and industry are all but gone.In 35 years, a total of 21 companies went down the tubes just in our area alone…. Reason?___Union non-compliance, tax and regulation. Thanks for nothing Washington, your “I’m from the Government and I’m here to help slogan sucks! This has been brewing for years, stock up folks, strap in, were in for one hell of a ride!…and Karolyn, I’m an optomist, but I can see the reality of it!

      The sad thing about it Angel is when less people are working, less taxes are being paid to the government. Then the government just raise taxes even higher to make up for the difference. That leaves the consumer less money to spend on other items. You can’t go to your employer if you have one, that is, and tell him that the government just raised your taxes so you will need more money to make up the difference. It is like a snowball effect, the more people laid off the higher your taxes go to make up the difference.

Something drastic has to happen to wake up these idiots. And vote against the mainstream. Question is, are you willing to do it?
    If 20% of the people in this country would pull all their money out of banks and wall st, and not go to work for a week, it would send a pretty strong message.

    The reason we’re still in a depression is because of the massive debt we’re in. Everyone, individuals and businesses, were operating on credit. They were dependent on current revenue to pay their bills, when sales fell they went bankrupt – no cash reserve to fall back on. With 13.9 million still unemployed, 2.5 million homes foreclosed on, and hundred of thousands of homes on the brink of foreclosure, there will be no recovery – not until those debts are cancelled or paid for.

      Actually, i41, I get it (for a change). I am not blind to all of these things; however, it is my belief that dwelling on the negative only brings more negative. For over a year I had no job and my SS had not kicked in yet and was only bringing in a few hundred dollars a month by selling at flea markets and online, I did not sit around and feel sorry for myself and focus on the sad state of my life. I was grateful for the fact I had a roof over my head, my health, my friends, food, etc. That is what saw me through without my going into a total depression.     All of you seem educated and well read, so I can believe from you comments that you ‘GET SOME OF IT’. In order for you to ‘GET IT’, you have to open your eyes more. The present administration and most in Congress, whether D or R, are in the pocket of the global elite, whose agenda is to enslave the world population. They are working hard to bring America down to the level of all the other world countries. Do any of you honestly believe that the events in the middle east are happening by accident? The global elite (FED, JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, BOA, Deutsch Bank and Soros) control the flow of money throughout the world economic systems. People cannot riot in Libya or Syria without financial backing. This backing comes through the global banking system…DAH! Some of you have written above about the Food Stamp program…as more and more people enroll and recieve the government dole, the more dependant they become on the government and will do whatever the govt wants them to do. I expect the unemployment numbers are really around 18% nationally, but for massive unrest to start in a large city where the unemployment is 20% or more it won’t take much of a nudge. I am not a financial wizard, but I just do not see how much longer American can stand this economic burden.

    MostPeople have never live through a great depression, well I did. There is not to many that live in a shack with dirt floods. Where money was in the mills, that is 10 mills to a penny. No job, no car and the closes running water was one mile away in Deep Fork river. When you could flour was bought in printed sack material so when empty it become cloth for shirts or dresses. No Electric, no sewers, laundry was done in tubs heated over an open fire. The water was carried in buckets from a inground or well cistern. I am 82 years old and I can surive when the depression arrives. I really, well sort of, others that never lived in that time. They will not survive with out the TV, TV games and well stocked store. As long as we keep these corrupt criminals in power it will happen. Just Remember the words of the great Snake oil salesman, ” I am going to fundamentally change everything.” Well he is doing it, as the LOOTERS & CRIMINALS are now in charge. Just look around you. The Gestapos Storm Black Shirts are here and already on the attack against the Citizens of what is left of the Republic and Freedom. We have a government of Committes & Burecrats who we did not vote for and your Senators and Representive have given these Agencies like the FDA, EPA, FTC. FCC. TSA total power and your rights under the constitution has been suppended. Just way did your elected official relinquest their duties.       Robert Morrow – It occurred to me recently that the TSA irradiating and groping are one part of a larger plan to get us to accept enslavement.

      Just wait. It will get so bad, not just with TSA, but ID theft and other things, that the PTB will tell us, “You want it all to stop? Take the chip. You can then dispense with all of this intrusion and humiliation.”

    I agree with most libertarian views except those who see Ron Paul as our next messiah.

    Like it or not, due to our “globalization” (a logical consequence in the world’s travel and transportation ease, as well as financial transaction ease) we are still perceived the super-power of the world, especially militarily.

    To hate Bush for using our military to “infiltrate” our enemies is WRONG! Unlike my late brother claimed that Bush is imitating the Pax Romana, I always felt that the right thinking is to bring the war to the enemy. Since none of the Islamic nations are powerful enough to attack us (as Japan did which got us involved in WWII) Bush initiated a “listening tour” in the Middle East, in the nation that was most “transparent” (if you want to use that word) as to what the representative fringe groups of the ME want from us: destroying our financial AND military might! Saddam Hussein’s Iraq was the ideal place to settle our fighting forces for the “long haul” of fighting our most dangerous enemies in the post cold war era.

    Before 9/11 how many of you knew of the Muslim factions within each ME country? How many were aware how their hatred against their living conditions was blamed on the “oil-sucking” Westerners?

    America never wanted to get involved in the “internal affairs” of any nation, even if human rights were grossly violated within that nation, but after 9/11 we HAD to understand the big question: WHY?

    To pull back into our shells and “hope” and pray that if we don’t go on “international military adventures” we will be safe is a pipe dream!

    Obama thought that way too, and blasted the Bush administration. Once in the WH, his hippie “peace and love” mantra stopped. WHY? Because reality hit him hard in his rear-end! Of course he kisses ME potentates butts, but that is because he, deep down in his heart is convinced that “talking” to your enemies and convince them that you are their friends WILL bring “peace and kum-ba-ya”. On top of his peacenik ideology, he is also enamored in Marxism, and believes that re-distributing wealth (on a WORLD-WIDE scale) will make friends out of our covetous enemies.

    Ron Paul has similar views as Obama, except that he is basing it on HIS interpretation of the Constitution. We are NOT living in 18ty century anymore and even if difficult, we must live in the 21st century with all its draw-backs, as well as opportunities.

    If we don’t want to end up like Rome of ancient times, we HAVE to fight for our hard earned position WITHOUT giving an opportunity of the “barbarians at our gates” to wage war on our lands. The logical consequence (of borders having a different meaning in our times), we MUST guard our “global borders” by deploying our (by now “nimble”) military forces to take our existential wars to wherever the enemies are.

    As to the “domestic beast” of entitlement mentality, it took (counting from 1913) five generations for the populace the build its existence around “guaranteed” government benefits. It will take at least two generations (that’s 40 years according to my understanding what a generation means) AND a concerted effort to going back to “each for him/herself”.

    Is it doable? YES, IF (and that is a BIG IF) the American voter can be educated “backwards”, so to speak, that taking chances and living the consequences of your personal decisions is the way to keep your personal freedom. THAT is something I have my doubts that it can be up-kept for 40 consecutive years, without divine intervention. I am more inclined to believe that before we can “hope” that people can be “re-educated”, more catastrophic things will have to happen to teach us the value of freedom with reverence towards our Judeo-Christian God’s principles.

    aniko, good comment. one problem, over the last fifty years we have allowed the world to rush in, without reservation. the people coming here are mostly from backward nations endowed to socialism. they have little in the way of professionalism to offer, they believe in the government taking care of them and are not smart enough to realize they left their home country, to get away from the very type of government they now are voting for.
    we have cast our pearls amongst the swine. we are probably on the verge of a great depression and we have people sitting in the white house that will be more than willing to use this to destroy our constitutional republic. if we wait for the public to come out of their bleeding heart haze, in it will be too late.

          Today , The DNC is not in the same position, under attack and required every up vote that it could muster as it was with congressman Charles Rangle. Weinner Gate will get a quick hearing and a decision will be made.

          I don’t like the idea of losing a strong firing spark plug for progressives but this is unacceptable behavior and a poor example of what we expect of our elected officials.

          An example needs to be made so others might know what to expect in the future if their behavior in any “compromising manner”.

          If they want to hold such a position, behave accordingly.

          It’s not complicated ~ it’s just business and only grownups need to attend.

    What always frosts me about these democrats is that they never feel they should face any political penalty for their misdeeds. They NEVER resign, because ethics, morality and, especially, fidelity are not something they feel much affinity for.

    On the other hand, conservatives resign immediately, usually with much derision and outrage from the Left.

    I’m tired of the double standard. The fact is, conservatives are held to a higher standard. What does that say about the Left.

    Luckily, we in Australia have a cosy mineral export deal with the Chinese. This more or less protects us from the US economic decline. I once worked in I.T before all that kind of action was exported to India. Now I’m self employed as a transport driver. Still the world has gone mad. The Third World is basically an over-populated baby factory and the Third World is invading the First World in search of a better life. Some end up as cab drivers in Melbourne. Some end up as slave labourers on Dubai construction sites. Worse, they are invading our universities. I don’t know who pays the massive fees.     Donald Trump came out and showed republicans/conservatives how to deal with this problem for the next important election of 2012.
    Unfortunately, Obama coughed up a layered hacked to bits document the MSM concluded was authentic as Weiner’s denials – and that appears for now to be the end of it – never mind Obama’s two foreign citizenship histories that disqualify him for the presidency let alone a re-election.
    Thus, Trump was attacked as a democratic helper by Corsi ( Where’s the Birth Certificate ), a very unfortunate development, and others speculated he did it all for a 60 million dollar show renewal… the paranoia running wild ( not to be entirely scoffed at considering the horrors we are treated to of late ).
    Nonetheless, we have a conservative platform on this already outlined by Trump, which amounted to calling the liberals bluffs – on War for Oil, on OPEC, on entitlements, on Energy production, on drilling, on China’s trade cheating, on and on AMERICA FIRST – including on Obama coughing up a document everyone else has to.
    Trump flat out told EVERYONE how he has had to deal with the libs in power for years – publicly he spewed over and over – if the big city’s mayor and governor are dems that’s who you contribute to (pay off).
    Well, I suppose after someone like Trump wakes up people to that degree, those who’ve had the chance for years and failed to produce a tenth as much in 100x the time, are in some sense, sore losers.
    The left, the dems, loved having Trump attacked by the right, as he was putting a SERIOUS HURT on their entire platform.
    Anyway, TRUMP outlined a Presidential SOLUTION – we do something as the USA – WE GET PAID. We SEND IN THE NEGOTIATOR THAT GETS RESULTS.
    I am sorry for the USA, and for the immense paranoia and infighting that occurs – and yes, I certainly understand Corsi’s position, the spotlight stolen from him, and the less than desired results with Obama skating the same way Weiner just about did as well, it was very close, and without the amazing BREIBART, he would have skated IMO.
    So Trumps super rich “Bilderberger elite from all over the world friends” tell him things, they laugh at the stupid weak USA “leaders” – which are now pathetic, pansy waisted, crybaby bowing, apologetic, worldwide REPARATIONS PAYERS – through their “privledged guilt complex and warm hearts of love and self fufillment” – hence the situation we are in…
    Our FOOLS in charge, allowing the out of control, paying their crybaby massive alms to all the “oppressed and minerals stolen nations” and “those needing democratic conversion” amongst numerous other “reasons” and the USA burns as a result, with the ultra-rich sucking up that bounty and always claiming they will fix things – like Al Gore’s mega millions global warming personal wealth increase fundings…
